FAITH & TRADITIONS,    “WORTH CONSIDERING   06/12/20    From Ken<><

Today’s Scripture    (Found in my computer this morning from Texas.)
“…The very day I call for help, the tide of battle turns. My enemies flee! This one thing I know: God is for me!…”  (Psalm 56:9, TLB)

A Miracle Put in Motion
You have things you’re believing for—perhaps a dream to come to pass, your health to turn around, or to meet the right person. You’ve been praying for a long time, but you don’t see anything happening. It seems like God is on vacation and as though your prayers aren’t doing any good. But what you can’t see is that God is at work behind the scenes. Don’t believe the lies that say your praying, believing, and standing in faith is a waste of time. He not only heard your prayer, but He put the miracle in motion. In today’s Scripture, the psalmist says it happens the very day you call for help. In the unseen realm, God begins to change things in your favor. Just because you don’t see anything happening doesn’t mean the answer is not on the way. The people who see breakthroughs and promises fulfilled are the people who keep praying, keep believing, and keep standing in faith.

A Prayer for Today
Father, thank You that You never take vacations, that You hear every prayer and see me standing in faith. Thank You that in the unseen realm You have put a miracle in motion for me. I believe and declare that the answer is on the way. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Ken’s Thoughts:
Good word, again, for today.   It is really a Good Morning Call each day that these positive messages find their way to my computer.  Of course we all realize that sowing and reaping is strongle happening in our little world as a God Law of the Universe.  The is always motion and balance seemingly in all things.  It may take time for Hally’s Comet to return but return it does.
So the real question for us is not whether GOD is on our side BUT whether we are truly on HIS?  There is so much mis-information about what GOD wants of us.  And it is very difficult to sort the Baby (God Truth) from the bath water.   Much of what we call “Church” today has nothing to do with a New Testament Church as shared in the New Testament source of all truth for us.

We are told to “Tithe” under God’s Law, which is not true.  The New Testament Believer is not under the 10% Old Testament “LAW” but under loving grace to give as per the vision and need.  [Remember] this: he who sows sparingly and grudgingly will also reap sparingly and grudgingly, and he who sows generously [that blessings may come to someone] will also reap generously and with blessings. 2 Cor.9:6,    Let each one [give] as he has made up his own mind and purposed in his heart, not reluctantly or sorrowfully or under compulsion, for God loves (He takes pleasure in, prizes above other things, and is unwilling to abandon or to do without) a cheerful (joyous, “prompt to do it”) giver [whose heart is in his giving].  2Cor.9:7   So we find no where in the New Testament where tithing is in effect under a law.  If you personally feel to give on that basis it is all up to you and your relationship with the Holy Spirit in Christ Jesus as LORD.   God is in the process of training us to be 100% for HIM in HIS great love so HE can bless us now and for eternity.  But he is not going to allow the rebellion of lucifer and Adam to infect HIS universe.
Another issue is the word Church.  We have converted it from God’s meaning into our Traditions and have made the word  ineffective.  If I google the word church it comes up with beautiful traditional buildings.   But in Strong’s Greek Meaning it is the people:  Strong’s Greek: 1577. ἐκκλησία (ekklésia) — an assembly …  https://biblehub.com/greek/1577.htm assembly, church. From a compound of ek and a derivative of kaleo; a calling out, i.e. (concretely) a popular meeting, especially a religious congregation (Jewish synagogue, or Christian community of members on earth or saints in heaven or both) — assembly,   Not one word meaning the building.  It was the gathering of the people, two or more.  The Early Church was a forum of interactive people, most likely facing each other in order to be effective as per 1 Cor.14: (Should read whole chapter) 26-33.  I will stop at 33 or will get in trouble otherwise….  But notice in Paul’s understanding of Church it is not a Theater or tradition but an interactive assembly where the fruit, gifts and ministries of the Holy Spirit are free to be expressed through the Holy Spirit.  It is the Holy Spirit who provides the “bulletin” and no one is really sure what is going to happen at any gathering only that Christ Jesus will be there in the gathering as in the Holy Spirit.   Not one word in the whole New Testament about building anything or collecting funds for a building.   Any gifts and offerings were used for evangelism and to help the poor.  When a building is built then the gathering or assemble become concerned about the care of the building.  Sure a building is more comfortable.  But it is difficult to find a building built for GOD being effective for GOD.   One Saturday evening I was responsible for setting all of the chairs in place.  So I elected to place them all (over 200) in a U rather than traditional theater church style seating where you can not see anyone’s face.  You can only see the back of heads… Next morning, all was changed back to Theater.  Theater is safe, keeps everyone quiet.  The show much go on without interruption but there is little or no POWER of the HOLY SPIRIT who is much needed to draw everyone unto Christ Jesus as LORD.  Paul gave a prophesy about our time,  1 Tim.3, It is happening today.  And there are many other traditions that have crept into our gatherings to learn to serve Jesus.

News in Brief:
The U.S. Federal Reserve on Wednesday signaled it plans years of extraordinary support for an economy facing a torturous slog back from the coronavirus pandemic, with policymakers projecting the economy to shrink 6.5% in 2020 and the unemployment rate to be 9.3% at year’s end.  The Federal Reserve on Wednesday announced that it will keep its interest rate target near zero.   I bet you’re tired (of all this) today. You are overworked, overstressed, overwhelmed … DONE! Be encouraged! Just when you think you can’t run any further, you can! C’mon! Press through and press on for the great prize! God is with us, strengthening our feeble knees and moving us in the right direction!!   Hebrews 12:1-2 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. worthybrief@worthynetwork.com

FREEDOM,    “WORTH CONSIDERING”    6/10/20    From Ken<><

Today’s Scripture   (Across my desk this morning from Texas.)
“…Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again…”Ex.14:13

The Chain Has Been Broken
The Israelites had been bound in slavery in Egypt for over four hundred years. All they had seen was injustice, being taken advantage of, mistreated, barely making it. God supernaturally brought them out of Egypt, and they were headed to the Promised Land when He said to them, “The enemies you see today, you will see no more.” That’s what happens when the chain breaker shows up. True freedom.  He was saying to them and to us, “Those things that have held you back for years, you’re not going to see them anymore.” This is a new day of freedom, a new day of wholeness, a new day of increase. Chains are falling off; chains of debt are being broken. Chains of cancer, diabetes, and heart trouble are being loosed. You will no longer see those chains of fear, insecurity, and low self-esteem. The addiction is not going to control you. Why? The chain has been broken.

A Prayer for Today
Father, thank You that You have broken the chain of anything that’s trying to hold me back. Thank You that You have so defeated the problem that I’m not even going to see it anymore. I’m going to start living like I am free and experience everything You have for me. In Jesus.

Ken’s Thoughts,
So many things in this world tend to keep us in bondage’s.  Many are even the Religious  Traditions of men used in our churches to keep order when the Holy Spirit may wish to do otherwise.  Some come from unequally yoked marriage unions where one has a strong anointing from God and the other is happy to just be comfortable.  There are non-productive traditions everywhere that I look.  The enemy of our soul tends to keep us in some kinds of emotional or traditional jail (box) if possible.   However with Paul in prison we are now blessed with his teachings in the Holy Spirit.  So Paul was free even while in prison as our LORD’S kingdom is not of this world.  God set Peter free, why not Paul?   The greater ministry came to Paul due to being in prison.   We have very little of what Peter taught.

(The following is from Worthy Briefs today:)
Paul wrote for prayes while even in chains as follows:  Ephesians 6:19-20 and pray for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in proclaiming it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.  (from Worthy Brief)       For over 20 years we’ve been covering Christian Persecution, and whenever I come across an amazing story of how a saint endured such hardships, it encourages me. I remember reading about Watchman Nee and his imprisonment. The Chinese government would change the guards at his cell daily for fear that Nee would lead them to the Lord. Their fears were justified — many of those guards did come to faith! Apparently Watchman Nee had learned a powerful lesson from the Apostle Paul.  In Paul’s letter to the Church in Ephesus, observe how he describes himself — an ambassador in chains. Locked away in a prison, Paul adamantly refuses to allow his circumstances to dictate or alter his identity. He may be in chains, but he remains the Lord’s ambassador.  Can you imagine Paul chained up in that dungeon, throwing up his hands saying, “That’s it; it’s over; I’m finished!?  Not on your life! Instead, the apostle grows bolder as an ambassador; not intimidated or ashamed, because Paul isn’t chained in his Spirit, he’s only bound in the flesh. Remember how he concludes his letter to the Philippian Church declaring, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”  Don’t allow yourself to be defined by your past, or “chained” by your current circumstances. God has also called you to be an ambassador for Him. With so much work to be done, we ought to be growing even bolder, right in the midst of our trials and tribulations!  (This is right on target so I am passing it along to you.  It is from,  worthybrief@worthynetwork.com    (Please forward to your mailing list, Very important.)

Psalm 73,  A psalm of Asaph.    Truly God is good to Israel,     to those whose hearts are pure.
But as for me, I almost lost my footing.     My feet were slipping, and I was almost gone.  For I envied the proud     when I saw them prosper despite their wickedness. They seem to live such painless lives;     their bodies are so healthy and strong.  They don’t have troubles like other people;     they’re not plagued with problems like everyone else. They wear pride like a jeweled necklace and clothe themselves with cruelty. These fat cats have everything their hearts could ever wish for!  They scoff and speak only evil;     in their pride they seek to crush others.

They boast against the very heavens and their words strut throughout the earth. And so the people are dismayed and confused drinking in all their words,  “What does God know?” they ask.   Does the Most High even know what’s happening? Look at these wicked people—    enjoying a life of ease while their riches multiply.  Did I keep my heart pure for nothing?    Did I keep myself innocent for no reason? I get nothing but trouble all day long; every morning brings me pain.  If I had really spoken this way to others,  I would have been a traitor to your people. So I tried to understand why the wicked prosper.    But what a difficult task it is!

Then I went into your sanctuary, O God, and I finally understood the destiny of the wicked. Truly, you put them on a slippery path and send them sliding over the cliff to destruction.  In an instant they are destroyed,  completely swept away by terrors. When you arise, O Lord,   you will laugh at their silly ideas as a person laughs at dreams in the morning. Then I realized that my heart was bitter, and I was all torn up inside. I was so foolish and ignorant—   I must have seemed like a senseless animal to you. Yet I still belong to you;   you hold my right hand.  You guide me with your counsel.    leading me to a glorious destiny. Whom have I in heaven but you?  I desire you more than anything on earth. My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak,   but God remains the strength of my heart; He is mine forever   Those who desert him will perish,    for you destroy those who abandon you.  But as for me, how good it is to be near God!    I have made the Sovereign Lord my shelter,  and I will tell everyone about the wonderful things you do.  New Living Translation (NLT)  Also read Eph.4:11-16, John 17 for a good foundation.

I have found that if I just leave a verse location that very few will find their Bible to look it up.  But many will consider the thoughts if easily available.  So find your bondage’s out by using the Word of God. And only then can GOD’S GRACE AND TRUTH REALLY SET YOU FREE.  Our faith in God’s promises in Christ Jesus give us real freedom.

THRONE OF GOD

ALOHA FAMILY & FRIENDS,   Beloved of God (& Me.)    John 3:14-18

THRONE OF GOD,     “WORTH CONSIDERING”   6/9/20    From Ken<><

Today’s Scripture   (Across my desk today from Texas.)
“…Your throne, O God, endures forever and ever. You rule with a scepter of justice…”
(Psalm 45:6, NLT)

What’s on Your Throne?
When David faced Goliath, he never called him a giant. He called Goliath “an uncircumcised Philistine.” David downplayed his size because he refused to put Goliath on the throne. He kept God on the throne. He said to Goliath, “You come against me with a sword and spear, but I come against you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel.”

You may be facing a giant of a problem. If you’re not careful, you’ll let that problem consume you with worry. The whole time God is in control and already has the solution, but you’ve taken God off the throne and put your problem on the throne. Here’s the key: if God is not on the throne, you’re not giving Him permission. God works where there’s an attitude of faith. You can’t have God and the problem on the throne at the same time. There’s just room for one. Keep God on the throne.

A Prayer for Today
Father, thank You for being on Your throne, for reigning as sovereign over my health, my finances, my family, and my circumstances. Thank You that You are my provider, my healer, my waymaker, my deliverer. The throne of my life is reserved for You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Thoughts,
Really, Got to go DEEP with this one today.   But the question might be better stated,   WHO IS ON YOUR SOUL’S THRONE TODAY???   As a Christian the process of being Sanctified by the Holy Spirit is for most of us some what like a bouncing ball.  And for many of the Old Testament Saints it was like that for them as well.  As we read the stories of the O.T. and New we will find that vacillation of good days and bad days.  Three steps forward and 2 steps back.  Abraham, Jacob,  Moses, David, Sampson  and Peter are good examples of failures and victories, In fact it is well documented in Hebrew’s 11 as shared (I feel) and by Apostle Paul,  Rom. 7: So please take the time to read:
HEBREWS:  11:
Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, [a] the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].  2 For by [faith—[b] trust and holy fervor born of faith] the men of old had divine testimony borne to them and obtained a good report.  3 By faith we understand that the worlds [during the successive ages] were framed  (fashioned, put in order, and equipped for their intended purpose) by the word of God, so that what we see was not made out of things which are visible.  4 [Prompted, actuated] by faith Abel brought God a better and more acceptable sacrifice than Cain, because of which it was testified of him that he was righteous [that he was upright and in right standing with God], and God bore witness by accepting and acknowledging his gifts. And though he died, yet [through the incident] he is still speaking.  5 Because of faith Enoch was caught up and transferred to heaven, so that he did not have a glimpse of death; and he was not found, because God had translated him. …6 But without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him [out].  7 [Prompted] by faith Noah, being forewarned by God concerning events of which as yet there was no visible sign, took heed and diligently and reverently constructed and prepared an ark for the deliverance of his own family…. 8 [Urged on] by faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed and went forth to a place which he was destined to receive as an inheritance; and he went, although he did not know or trouble his mind about where he was to go… 12 So from one man, though he was physically as good as dead, there have sprung descendants whose number is as the stars of heaven and as countless as the innumerable sands on the seashore.  13 These people all died controlled and sustained by their faith, but not having received the tangible fulfillment of [God’s] promises, only having seen it and greeted it from a great distance by faith, and all the while acknowledging and confessing that they were strangers and temporary residents and exiles upon the earth. … 16 But the truth is that they were yearning for and aspiring to a better and more desirable country, that is, a heavenly [one]. For that reason God is not ashamed to be called their God [even to be surnamed their God—the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob], for He has prepared a city for them.  17 By faith Abraham, when he was put to the test [while the testing of his faith was [d] still in progress], [e] and already brought Isaac for an offering; he who had gladly received and welcomed [God’s] promises was ready to sacrifice his only son,  18 Of whom it was said, Through Isaac shall your descendants be reckoned.  19 For he reasoned that God was able to raise [him] up even from among the dead. Indeed in the sense that Isaac was figuratively dead [potentially sacrificed], he did [actually] receive him back from the dead.  20 [With eyes of] faith Isaac, looking far into the future, invoked blessings upon Jacob and Esau.  21 [Prompted] by faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of Joseph’s sons and bowed in prayer over the top of his staff.  22 [Actuated] by faith Joseph, when …23 [Prompted] by faith Moses, after his birth, was kept concealed for three months by his parents, because they saw how comely the child was; and they were not overawed and terrified by the king’s decree.  24 [Aroused] by faith Moses, when he had grown to maturity and [f] become great, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter,  25 Because he preferred to share the oppression [suffer the hardships] and bear the shame of the people of God rather than to have the fleeting enjoyment of a sinful life.  26 He considered the contempt and abuse and shame [borne for] the Christ (the Messiah Who was to come) to be greater wealth than all the treasures of Egypt, for he looked forward and away to the reward (recompense).  27 [Motivated] by faith he left Egypt behind him, being unawed and undismayed by the wrath of the king; for he never flinched but held staunchly to his purpose and endured steadfastly as one who gazed on Him Who is invisible.  39 And all of these, though they won divine approval by [means of] their faith, did not receive the fulfillment of what was promised,40 Because God had us in mind and had something better and greater in view for us, so that they [these heroes and heroines of faith] should not come to perfection apart from us [before we could join them].”    So it is not about how many time you fall down, but about getting up in faith just one more time than you fall down.  God has covered our sins and errors in and through Christ Jesus and after we make Jesus, LORD we need to yeald to the Holy Spirit to  become like HIM by HIS grace and love through faith in HIS promises for our eternity.

GOD’S MEMORY,
“WORTH CONSIDERING” 6/8/20     From Ken <><

Today’s Scripture    (Received in my mail today from a church in Texas.)
“…See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands…”  (Isaiah 49:16, NIV)

You Are Never Forgotten

We all get dropped in life—dropped by an illness, by a divorce, by a friend who turns on you. It’s easy to feel alone and forgotten, as though you don’t matter. But don’t believe those lies and get stuck in that dark place. Every time God opens His hands, He sees your name. He’s reminded of you. You may have had some bad breaks, some closed doors, some people who didn’t do you right, but God hasn’t forgotten about your dreams or the promises He’s given you. He hasn’t forgotten about that baby you’ve been longing to have, that healing, that wholeness, that freedom you need. Stay in faith. Life happens to all of us, and you may get dropped, but remember that it’s only temporary. God sees it. He’s not only going to lift you back up, but He’s going to take you to a higher place of blessing. You’re going to come out better than you were before.

A Prayer for Today

Father, thank You that every time You open Your hands, You see my name. Thank You that You will never forget about me or my dreams or the promises You’ve given me. I believe that You are lifting me up and taking me to a higher place of blessing. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Ken’s Thoughts,
Of course we have to be sure to view the context of a scripture to know if it is applicable to us personally.  I have often reminded my readers that Content without Context is Pretext.  the above scripture Isa. 49:16 could be personal to Isaiah, not that it could not be also personal to us but it would need to be confirmed to us personally.  So view the context of Isa.49:16:

13 Sing for joy, O heavens, and be joyful, O earth, and break forth into singing, O mountains! For the Lord has comforted His people and will have compassion upon His afflicted.  14 But Zion [Jerusalem, her people as seen in captivity] said, The Lord has forsaken me, and my Lord has forgotten me.  15 [And the Lord answered] Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, they may forget, yet I will not forget you.  16 Behold, I have indelibly imprinted (tattooed a picture of) you on the palm of each of My hands; [O Zion] your walls are continually before Me.    Rev. 3:20 ?

In the Old Testament Zion was the eastern most of the two hills of ancient Jerusalem and often means the city rather than the hill.  And also means the Land of Israel.  But in this scripture there also seems an understanding that the reference is for the potential Children of God to remember that they can not be forgotten.  However the souls are seen as afflicted and in captivity and accusing God as to have left them.  So to the issue, we are much to busy to learn to talk to God, or that God has somehow abandoned us.  Of course the context of this scripture is, that it is not God who has left us, but we who have left God.   Jesus with much concern and emotions had this to say:   (Talking to the most religious master’s of HIS day.)
32 Fill up, then, the measure of your fathers’ sins to the brim [so [k] that nothing may be wanting to a full measure].  33 You serpents! You spawn of vipers! How can you escape the [l] penalty to be suffered in hell (Gehenna)?  34 Because of this, take notice: I am sending you prophets and wise men (interpreters and teachers) and scribes (men learned in the Mosaic Law and the Prophets); some of them you will kill, even crucify, and some you will flog in your synagogues and pursue and persecute from town to town,  35 So that upon your heads may come all the blood of the righteous ([m] those who correspond to the divine standard of right) shed on earth, from the blood of the righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Barachiah, whom you murdered between the sanctuary and the altar [of burnt offering].  36 Truly I declare to you, all these [[n] evil, calamitous times] will come upon this generation.  37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, murdering the prophets and stoning those who are sent to you! How often would I have gathered your children together as a mother fowl gathers her brood under her wings, and you refused!  38 Behold, your house is forsaken and desolate (abandoned and left destitute of God’s help).

39 For I declare to you, you will not see Me again until you say, Blessed (magnified in worship, adored, and exalted) is He Who comes in the name of the Lord!    Luke 13:33-35 Nevertheless, I must continue on My way today and tomorrow and the day after that—for it will never do for a prophet to be destroyed away from Jerusalem!  34 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who continue to kill the prophets and to stone those who are sent to you! How often I have desired and yearned to gather your children together [around Me], as a hen [gathers] her young under her wings, but you would not!  35 Behold, your house is forsaken (abandoned, left to you destitute of God’s help)! And I tell you, you will not see Me again until the time comes when you shall say, Blessed (to be celebrated with praises) is He Who comes in the name of the Lord!  Luke 13:33-35.

Of course the is another option:    John 3:14-18 if anyone will listen and believe.     John 3:14-18
And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert [on a pole], so must [so it is necessary that] the Son of Man be lifted up [on the cross],  15 In order that everyone who believes in Him [who cleaves to Him, trusts Him, and relies on Him] may [a] not perish, but have eternal life and [actually] live forever!  16 For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten ([b] unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.  17 For God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge (to reject, to condemn, to pass sentence on) the world, but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him.  18 He who believes in Him [who clings to, trusts in, relies on Him] is not judged [he who trusts in Him never comes up for judgment; for him there is no rejection, no condemnation—he incurs no damnation]; but he who does not believe (cleave to, rely on, trust in Him) is judged already [he has already been convicted and has already received his sentence] because he has not believed in and trusted in the name of the only begotten Son of God. [He is condemned for refusing to let his trust rest in Christ’s name.]

LOVED DEARLY,   “WORTH CONSIDERING”   6/5/20   From Ken<><

Today’s Scripture      (Across my desk from Texas this morning.)
“…Therefore the sisters sent to Him, saying, “Lord, behold, he whom You love is sick…”
(John 11:3, NKJV)

Recognize His Love for You
It’s interesting that when Mary and Martha sent a message to Jesus asking Him to come and pray for Lazarus, they didn’t say, “Jesus, please come. You know how much Lazarus loves You.” Instead, the message was, “Jesus, the one whom You love is sick.” They didn’t tell Jesus how much Lazarus loved Him. They thought it would be more persuasive to remind Jesus about how much He loved Lazarus.  Sometimes we’re trying to convince God that we love Him. “God, I attended church last week. Would You please help me now?” Why don’t you do as Mary and Martha did and say, “Lord, the one whom You love needs healing. The one whom You love is hurting.” What moves God is not just your love for Him, but recognizing His love for you. It pleases God when you know you are dearly loved. That’s why the Scripture says, “Come boldly to the throne.” Don’t go to Him feeling unworthy.

A Prayer for Today
Father, thank You that I am dearly loved by You, and that is all that really matters. Thank You that You don’t require that I be religious enough or good enough to earn Your love. I recognize Your great love today and come to Your throne boldly with my praise. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Ken’s Thoughts,
You know how that word love is bantered around these days.  My mother was a Hollywood hair stylist for a lot of well know people, Elvis, Frank, Gregory, Sally and such and would often take me onto the sets as a teenager while making movies.  One of the premium words on the set was love, every things was about love with a mushy lying Hollywood definition.      Sometime back I asked the Holy Spirit for HIS definition of love.  And these words came to my heart, “Love, is the highest good for the other person regardless of personal cost.”  This, definition, also includes pruning and spankings and reaping of what was sown.  It is not plastic.  And from God’s point of view with even perfect understanding of our Adamic Carnal Nature HE really loves us as the best of HIS creation.  And this is in spite of the stink and mud that we have been born into by the decisions of those before us and our own decisions.  He still sees the potential in us to become HIS children, in Christ Jesus in spite of being born the children of Adam and lucifer.

The whole Bible is a Love Story of our Creator’s great love for us and giving us the ultimate example of HIS love in our potential redemption.  In Hollywood it was pure hypocrisy but in God it is pure TRUTH.  So our prime potential on earth is by God’s Grace to dump the lies of lucifer and Adam.  To be confirmed in the Great and Precious Promises of God’s LOVE and really go for it.  Go for it 100%, not even need postcards from the carnal nature we received from Adam.  If we try to walk in the lies of Adam and of this world we will never learn to truly Love God, ourselves or anyone else.  It is easy to see what those lies are by just considering, “What would Jesus Do?”  There is a character study, a positive character study of Jesus, I am attaching it to this blog for you to make a report card for yourself to see how you are doing.  OK now for some scripture for those who are really “born from above” by heart faith.  So let’s start with 1 John 4:15-27   “ Anyone who confesses (acknowledges, owns) that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides (lives, makes His home) in him and he [abides, lives, makes his home] in God.  16 And we know (understand, recognize, are conscious of, by observation and by experience) and believe (adhere to and put faith in and rely on) the love God cherishes for us. God is love, and he who dwells and continues in love dwells and continues in God, and God dwells and continues in him.  17 In this [union and communion with Him] love is brought to completion and attains perfection with us, that we may have confidence for the day of judgment [with assurance and boldness to face Him], because as He is, so are we in this world.  18 There is no fear in love [dread does not exist], but full-grown (complete, perfect) love [a] turns fear out of doors and expels every trace of terror! For fear [b] brings with it the thought of punishment, and [so] he who is afraid has not reached the full maturity of love [is not yet grown into love’s complete perfection].  19 We love Him, because He first loved us.  20 If anyone says, I love God, and hates (detests, abominates) his brother [[c] in Christ], he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, Whom he has not seen.  21 And this command (charge, order, injunction) we have from Him: that he who loves God shall love his brother [[d] believer] also.    So you see, our Heavenly Father, for those who will allow it, still has a purpose and vision to make us into HIS Image and Likeness like Jesus.  Jesus was the first of this new creation.  We are invited to put on Christ Jesus.   To allow HIM, Christ Jesus, to really become our LORD as well as Savior.   As a living soul we have the opportunity to say no to Adam, the world the flesh and the devil.   To say no to the lusts of the flesh, lust of the eyes and pride of life.  We have a golden invitations to allow ourselves to be changed to become like our creator and to live with HIM for eternity if we want to.  During this life time the door has been made wide open by Christ Jesus.  But the opportunity ceases upon the end of our life.  And we will continue in eternity either in God’s loving light or as Jude puts it, “become wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.”  Jude 13.  Jesus shared it this way, “16 For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten ([d] unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life. [He is condemned for refusing to let his trust rest in Christ’s name.]  19 The [basis of the] judgment (indictment, the test by which men are judged, the ground for the sentence) lies in this: the Light has come into the world, and people have loved the darkness rather than and more than the Light, for their works (deeds) were evil.

BLESSINGS & PRAISE

ALOHA FAMILY & FRIENDS,  Beloved of God and me.   John 3:16

BLESSINGS & PRAISE,     “WORTH CONSIDERING”   6/4/20    from Ken<><

Today’s Scripture   (Across my desk this morning from Texas.)
“…the voice of those…who will bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause the captives of the land to return as at the first,” says the LORD…”   (Jer. 33:11

Turn Up the Praise
In today’s Scripture God was saying to His people, who had been taken into captivity in Babylon, that when you thank Him even though you don’t see anything good happening, when you offer up the sacrifice of praise, God is going to reverse negative situations and restore what’s been stolen. When you don’t see how it can work out, but you go through the day saying, “Father, thank You that the answer is on the way; thank You that this problem is turning around,” get ready because God is going to reverse and restore. He’s going to reverse finances that are down, reverse a bad health report, reverse a legal matter, and He’s even going to restore what should have been yours. He’s going to restore years that you’ve lost because somebody did you wrong. He’s going to restore a relationship that’s on the rocks, restore health back to your body. It’s going to happen because of your praise, so turn it up!

A Prayer for Today
Father, thank You that You are bigger than any difficulty I will ever face. You are the Creator of the universe, and I offer You a sacrifice of praise and the deepest worship of my heart. I believe that You will reverse and restore what should have been mine. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Ken’s Thoughts:
I can say in all honesty, I have experienced this.  Three times in my life I have suffered great losses financially.  After one major loss I can remember crying out to God on my way, far up on the mountain, to do finish work for $100. per day so I could pay for my gas and food for my family in a beat up old Ford Ranger.   And yet, the Lord has managed to restore more than what I had lost over time so now looking back it is only a small scar among many.  Of course all of the losses were of my own doing in listening to my fear or pride or others in making decisions and not by listening to the Holy Spirit.  But there were and are Keys To The Kingdom that really work even though we tend to ignore them or forget them or just don’t care about considering them.  They are hidden all the way through the Holy Bible but are obvious if seeking.  There are conditions of Heart Faith, humility & obedience and other issues that we with God’s Grace must address in order to have HIS Blessings.  He always loves us but blessings come through knowing HIM and keeping HIS commandments.  So let’s get into HIS WORD for a bit and perhaps learn some KEYS.  Remember, however, that keys only work if they are put in a matching slot to unlock a door or something and are used.  Personally I still have a bunch of metal keys that I have no idea what they go to and so are worthless unless I find where they go.  But not ready to throw them away.    My book, “Keys To the Kingdom” www.Trinity-Aloha.org  would be good to digest if interested in God’s Keys to Blessings.   Jesus shares some keys in Matt.

8 For everyone who keeps on asking receives; and he who keeps on seeking finds; and to him who keeps on knocking, [the door] will be opened.  9 Or what man is there of you, if his son asks him for a loaf of bread, will hand him a stone?  10 Or if he asks for a fish, will hand him a serpent?  11 If you then, evil as you are, know how to give good and [a] advantageous gifts to your children, how much more will your Father Who is in heaven [perfect as He is] give good and [b] advantageous things to those who [c] keep on asking Him!  12 So then, whatever you desire that others would do to and for you, even so do also to and for them, for this is (sums up) the Law and the Prophets. Matt.7:9-12 (So Ask, but the KEY is in verse 12 in doing unto others as you would have others do to you.  (Before Honor is Humility,  Kingdom Law.   To keep on asking takes loving heart faith.)  James, son of Mary and Joseph who grew up with Jesus as this to share with us.   “2 You are jealous and covet [what others have] and your desires go unfulfilled; [so] you become murderers. [To hate is to murder as far as your hearts are concerned.] You burn with envy and anger and are not able to obtain [the gratification, the contentment, and the happiness that you seek], so you fight and war. You do not have, because you do not ask.  3 [Or] you do ask [God for them] and yet fail to receive, because you ask with wrong purpose and evil, selfish motives. Your intention is [when you get what you desire] to spend it in sensual pleasures.  4 You [are like] unfaithful wives [having illicit love affairs with the world and breaking your marriage vow to God]! Do you not know that being the world’s friend is being God’s enemy? So whoever chooses to be a friend of the world takes his stand as an enemy of God.  James 4:2-4     The Bible is full of scriptures like this one that are normally totally ignored.  Before Honor is HUMILITY but pride goes before a great fall.  How good is your blessing hearing?   Yours, in HIS great love and wonderful grace and mercy,   Ken<><   www.Trinity-Aloha.org

Wycliffe Associates, an international organization that empowers mother-tongue Bible translators and partners with local churches in the advancement of Bible translation, reports that Bible translators and their families in remote and poverty-stricken areas are facing starvation due to food shortages resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.   worthybrief@worthynetwork.com

1 John 3:16 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.  “On Sunday, believers arrived at a house church in the Soviet Union in small groups throughout the day so as not to arouse the suspicion of KGB informers. They began by singing a hymn quietly. Suddenly, in walked two soldiers with loaded weapons at the ready.  One shouted, “If you wish to renounce your commitment to Jesus Christ, leave now!” Two or three quickly left, then another. After a few more seconds, two more. “This is your last chance. Either turn against your faith in Christ,” he ordered, “or stay and suffer the consequences.”  Two more slipped out into the night. No one else moved. Parents with children trembling beside them looked down reassuringly, fully expecting to be gunned down or imprisoned. The other soldier closed the door, looked back at those who stood against the wall, and said, “Keep your hands up–but this time in praise to our Lord Jesus Christ. We, too, are Christians. We were sent to another house church several weeks ago to arrest a group of believers.” The other soldier interrupted, “But, instead, we were converted! We have learned by experience, however, that unless people are willing to die for their faith, they cannot be fully trusted.”   (From “Living Above the Level of Mediocrity,” by Chuck Swindoll).

WORLD IN CHAOS,      WORTH CONSIDERING,   6/3/20 From Ken<><      www.Trinity-Aloha.org

Today’s Scripture    (In my mailbox from Texas this morning.)
“…In everything you do, put God first, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success…”  (Proverbs 3:6, TLB)

Put God First
A lot of people are good at taking care of the physical and emotional parts of their lives, but they don’t take care of the spiritual. There’s no or minimal connection to God. Your life will be more fulfilling when you’re in relationship with your Creator. He breathed life into you. He knows what your purpose is. He wants to give you the advantage for success. When you make Him a part of your life, His favor will take you where your talents and abilities cannot take you.  Make your spiritual life a priority. When you get up in the morning, take time to thank God for the day. Don’t run out of the house stressed out, in a hurry. Start the day off with a grateful attitude. Read the Scripture, meditate on His promises, and fill your mind with thoughts of faith, hope, and victory. Put God first and He will crown your efforts with success.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that You invited me into a relationship with You. I want, in everything I do, to put You first and have You direct my life. Thank You for speaking to me through Your Word. I believe that You will crown my efforts with success. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Thoughts:
I live on a little island in the middle of the Pacific ocean 20 miles out in the local country side on the Big Island near where Captain Cook landed and charted the location of Hawaii.  Our local community got emotional about spiritually contaminating Mauna Kea with another telescope?  They made a protest until winter that may begin again as it is warming up.  But basically we are experiencing none of this Chaos, so far, as in HIS HANDS.

Of course the murder of George Floyd by the police is inexcusable but the devastation of riots is also inexcusable. We are a nation of Laws under a Constitution that does work but takes time.  Judgment for the murder will be judged legally with or without the riots.   If we don’t like the verdict then we need to change the laws.  But the riots are a deeper symptom of a spiritual sickness that has invaded our country from the time when we were OK with removing God from our schools and government.  Our Constitution was written to keep the government from becoming religious but not to keep spiritual ethics and truth from the government or our children.  Essentially our founding fathers knew that without an honorable and moral people of personal integrity that our government would fail.  Many of the signers of our Constitution were Christian Ministers.

We are watching the results of the invasion of atheism into our school systems.  The majority of our children are now growing up without a moral compass.  This battle began in 7/21/1925 at the “Scopes Monkey Trial” which started our school systems into considering evolution and atheism.  As a result of this case our schools begin to move towards evolution and atheism.   Socialism is also atheistic and has no moral compass as well.  So our kids, with believing the lies, are going for it.  They are believing in empty promises that will never come to pass.  And they are now of age to vote for it.  Power is the only quest of socialism.  Even today the well meaning atheistic Chinese are harvesting needed body parts from living prisoners for their value in the market place.  Many of those being murdered for parts are Christians in prison simple due to their faith.  Socialism/Communism has no ethical or moral compass.  It is the darkness of the New Word Order now circling the world with the lies of all things free to get votes.  But once in power, very difficult to remove and the promises are quickly forgotten.  Over 100 million people have died on earth because of Socialism/Communism atheism.  So for us as Christians we are beginning to clearly see that the darkness, getting darker and also according to Holy Scripture that HIS LIGHT is going to become much brighter.  That as we head for into the completion and birth of HIS Church, Eph.4:11-16 and John 17 the LORD’s return for HIS Church as soon to be perfected will become more and more evident.

And His gifts were [varied; He Himself appointed and gave men to us] some to be apostles (special messengers), some prophets (inspired preachers and expounders), some evangelists (preachers of the Gospel, traveling missionaries), some pastors (shepherds of His flock) and teachers.  12 His intention was the perfecting and the full equipping of the saints (His consecrated people), [that they should do] the work of ministering toward building up Christ’s body (the church),  13 [That it might develop] until we all attain oneness in the faith and in the comprehension of the [[a]full and accurate] knowledge of the Son of God, that [we might arrive] at really mature manhood (the completeness of personality which is nothing less than the standard height of Christ’s own perfection), the measure of the stature of the fullness of the Christ and the completeness found in Him.  14 So then, we may no longer be children, tossed [like ships] to and fro between chance gusts of teaching and wavering with every changing wind of doctrine, [the prey of] the cunning and cleverness of [b]unscrupulous men, [gamblers engaged] in every shifting form of trickery in inventing errors to mislead.  15 Rather, let our lives lovingly [c]express truth [in all things, speaking truly, dealing truly, living truly]. Enfolded in love, let us grow up in every way and in all things into Him Who is the Head, [even] Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).  16 For because of Him the whole body (the church, in all its various parts), closely joined and firmly knit together by the joints and ligaments with which it is supplied, when each part [with power adapted to its need] is working properly [in all its functions], grows to full maturity, building itself up in love.  Eph.4:11-16

The Congressional Budget Office projected Monday that the U.S. will loose nearly $16 trillion in gross domestic product over the next decade because of the pandemic.  The governors of 23 American states and the District of Columbia have activated 17,000 National Guard soldiers to help manage ongoing rioting in cities across the country, the Washington Examiner reported Monday. The US has been devastated by extreme – including deadly – violence, looting, and destruction of property since unarmed African American George Floyd was killed at the hands of Minneapolis police on May 25.  We are seeing events unfold with such clarity, there is a sense of urgency as the days grow darker.  Let us seize this time, and recognize the great opportunity we have to share the gospel to a world more ready to receive it.   To even the most hardened person … they can clearly see that the world has radically changed in ways like never before. Today, if you are HIS watchmen!   As the world gets darker … continue to shine His light — in His love, for we shall truly reap if we faint not.     Matt.24, Mark 13, Luke 23.     worthybrief@worthynetwork.com

PRAYER & GRAVITY

ALOHA FAMILY & FRIENDS,  Beloved of Christ Jesus and me,   John 3:16-18

PRAYER & GRAVITY,   “WORTH CONSIDERING”    6/2/20    By Ken<><

Today’s Scripture    ( Found in my mail this morning from Texas.)
“…And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive…”  (Matt. 21:22)

Dare to Ask Big
When God laid out the plan for your life, He didn’t just put into it what you need to get by and endure until the end. He put more than enough in it. He’s a God of abundance. We see this all through the Scripture. David says, “My cup runs over.” He had an abundance, more than he needed. Yes, we should thank God that our needs are supplied, but don’t settle there. He is a more-than-enough God. He wants you to have an abundance so you can be a blessing to those around you.  Are you asking for the abundant, overflowing, more-than-enough life that God has for you? God says you are to reign in life, that whatever you touch will prosper and succeed. Don’t pray to just get by. Dare to ask big. Ask for what God has promised you. Ask Him for new levels. Ask Him for explosive blessings. Ask Him to propel you into your purpose.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for Your grace, favor, and mercy. Thank You for being the God of overflow! I am asking You for the more-than-enough life that You have promised. I believe that You will give me the desires of my heart, and my cup will run over. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Thoughts,
Prayer for me is making time to listen more than asking.   I am still working on being able to hear HIS voice above all of the noise pollution going on in my mind.  I still tend to get into what (I) want to get done, regardless.   It use to be that I could make it work on my own if I put my mind & body to it.   But now, those days are past and seriously I think that is good.  So where I am now about prayer (Talking with my Creator, Heavenly Father.)  Is first,  to make sure I am on praying ground as if there is anything that I know that HE has asked me to do in HIS great love that I have not done that HIS conversation will start there.  I am not going to be able to skip to the next space till I have complied with what space that I am in now.  And HE will wait till I exhaust all of my devious attempts to ignore that which I need to do.  All of the prayers of Jesus will be completely answered as Jesus was always in obedience even to the extremely death on a cross of the Romans.   (Especially, John 17   which we avoid.)

Next in the issues of humility and obedience is direction.  Is what you are asking for already confirmed that it is GOD’S will to be done.  Otherwise your prayers will be answered with a NO.  GOD is not Santa Clause or some Jinn and we can get what ever we want.  Strange thing, If we do not get what we want we then become angry with God for not being our shoe shine boy.  Some one is sick and dies in the family.   My youngest daughter died  from a combination of malpractice and kidney failure .   Of course we prayed and prayed and prayed but Laurie died anyway.  This was over 50 years ago so I now have an objective sound healing now and can talk about it.  At the time I was a Christian, I refused to get angry, mistakes were made, Laurie died but God was not at fault and did what was best for Laurie.  I look back and by looking at what her older siblings have been through,  I now see that It was far better for her to grow up at the feet of Jesus than being here on earth.   Paul shares, we now see through smokey glass but when in the 0ther Room, then, face to face we will know even as we are known.  1 Cor. 13.  My heart really goes out to the kids today.

So to pray without ceasing for me means to always try to be in humility and obedience to be able to hear spiritually.  I was working on a doctrine the other day for “Worth Considering” and the Holy Spirit kindly taught me that the carnal nature, that we all inherited from Adam, is like gravity.   As a baby we could hardly turn over when we arrive upon conception & birth in this world of rebellion and pride.  But gradually we learn to roll over, then to crawl, and then to walk and  run.  But due to the gravity most every thing else, we can leave and find it later where we left it.  Now we have learned to even fly though it and to go where there is no more gravity.  Usually metaphors have only a limited value but this one seems to have some deep spiritual lessons for us.  So you might want to take it and run with it and see where it takes you.   And I would also be interested.

So as we learn to fly and to not be bound to this world spiritually with a mixture of God’s salvation and grace, HIS Word and our Heart Faith.  Some times I have be able to fly in the Holy Spirit and I have been most joyfully amazed, a touch of heaven.   So now, if I go to a gathering and the Holy Spirit is not there in word and in power I get totally board.  Church is people and supposed to be filled with the Holy Spirit, an interactive forum, not a theater.  A gathering (anyplace) where the Holy Spirit is invited to come, save, teach, deliver, heal and make us like Jesus.  Read about what it is not in 2 Tim. 3 as a prophesy from Apostle Paul.  Seem that Adam’s spiritual gravity still has a very strong hold on most of us.  Jesus taught us on how to become free in HIS TRUTH,  not our religious traditions.

ALOHA FAMILY & FRIENDS,  Beloved of Jesus and me,    John 3:16-18

JOY,      “WORTH CONSIDERING”    6/1/20    From Ken<><

Today’s Scripture   ( Received this morning in my mail from Texas.)
“…So you have sorrow now, but I will see you again; then you will rejoice, and no one can rob you of that joy…”  (John 16:22, NLT)

Keep Your Joy
We all have opportunities to get upset and go around frustrated. Life is full of inconveniences, delays, people that don’t do right. You’re never going to stop these things from happening; the key is how we handle them. Today’s Scripture says no one can take your joy. That means you control your joy. Nothing can take it from you; you have to give it away.  Life is too short to live frustrated, upset about things that many times we have no control over. People have a right to have their opinion, but you have a right to ignore it. People have a right to be rude, but you have a right to stay happy. Quit letting insignificant things—your grouchy boss, the person talking behind your back, your child getting on your nerves—steal your joy. Make this decision every morning, “I will be joyful today.” When you’re tempted to get upset, remind yourself that you have the power to keep your joy.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that I have the power to remain calm because You’ve given me a spirit of discipline and self-control. Thank You that You made this day, and I’m not going to live sour and defeated. I’ve made up my mind that I’m going keep my joy. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Thoughts:
Good Message Today, A-1…   Every soul that GOD has created on planet earth has a free will to go in any direction that they see fit to go and at any time.  We can even ignore the laws of  God and the land set to help us to remember to be peaceful or suffer the consequences.  No one can ever make you do anything you do not want to do.  Or stop you from doing what ever you want to do.  In the 1930’s when I went to grade school there were strong teachings concerning GOD, Country, Responsibility and Accountability.   The 10 commandments were hung by the light switch and we sang songs including hymns, prayed, said the allegiance to the flag with God, respect and were reminded every day that we were accountable to God, Family and our Nation for our actions.   Of course there was still the carnal nature of Adam to contend with and we were not at all perfect but that understanding of accountability was built in and a great help during my life.

At this point in time the Supreme Court has seen fit to remove God from our schools, government and civil experience.  And as it is easier to turn on a TV and more interesting than going to any church.  Most of our country is now being trained by Hollywood.  Our children are now mostly atheist and have no moral compass at all.   Not from home, church or school.  They have no hell to avoid nor heaven to gain and we wonder why some are killing their classmates.  The Bible is clear that where there is not vision the people parish.  That it is in believing the great and precious promises of God that we begin to become like HIM and are concerned for the souls of our fellow man.  We don’t want to see any eternal soul consigned into the midst of darkness for eternity.   God’s love for us encourages us to love one another and find peaceful resolutions.  And together to work towards finding more freedom from our carnal nature by making Jesus our Lord.   So if you don’t really know and believe the precious promises of God distributed by HIM through HIS prophets for 6,000 years now, you will not be able to walk in HIS peace and Joy in the midst of the persecutions that are getting stronger each year now.  Even the Jews who have suffered massive persecution are now persecuting the Christians that are now in Israel.  So without a deep understanding of the Great and Precious Promises of God for your life now and for eternity, it will be impossible for you to withstand the coming persecution in the Joy of the LORD.   One of the promises that I greatly love is as follows: 2 Tim. 1:5-9 (7)

I am calling up memories of your sincere and unqualified faith (the [b] leaning of your entire personality on God in Christ in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness), [a faith] that first lived permanently in [the heart of] your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now, I am [fully] persuaded, [dwells] in you also.  6 That is why I would remind you to stir up (rekindle the embers of, fan the flame of, and keep burning) the [gracious] gift of God, [the inner fire] that is in you by means of the laying on of my hands [[c] with those of the elders at your ordination].  7 For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of  cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control.  8 Do not blush or be ashamed then, to testify to and for our Lord, nor of me, a prisoner for His sake, but [[d]with me] take your share of the suffering [to which the preaching] of the Gospel [may expose you, and do it] in the power of God.  9 [For it is He] Who delivered and saved us and called us with a calling in itself holy and leading to holiness [to a life of consecration, a vocation of holiness]; [He did it] not because of anything of merit that we have done, but because of and to further His own purpose and grace (unmerited favor) which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began [eternal ages ago].

There are literally thousands of God’s Precious Promises in the Bible for you to make active in your life by Heart Faith.  If you are saved it is through heart faith and trust the Christ Jesus is LORD!!!.  Same for empowering and healing and deliverance.  In this world your carnal Adamic nature is like gravity, it makes you stronger as you work against & resist it.  But if you submit to it, it will detach you from GOD.   So want a life of JOY in the midst of difficulties, find and digest and have heart faith for the precious promises of God.  Find out what GOD has designed you to do and do it with all of your whole heart.  Decide to live in HIS promises and not in the worlds lies.

The Israelites were surrounded by a huge army and greatly outnumbered. They were so worried and stressed out. Just before they went to battle, they decided to pray. Notice God’s answer. If you will be still and remain at rest, God will turn it to victory. He is with you. He will vindicate you.  When you feel overwhelmed and you’re tempted to take everything into your own hands, you have to make yourself be still. The battle is not yours. The battle is the Lord’s. As long as you’re fighting it, God is going to step back and let you do it on your own. But when you put it back in His hands, God will fight your battles. Now do your part and rest. Trust God’s timing. He knows what He is doing. You may not understand why something is taking so long, but sometimes God will delay an answer so He can show His power in a greater way.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for Your hand of protection upon my life. I choose to be still, to get quiet before You, and listen to You. Give me the grace to accept Your timing and rest in the fact that You’ve already scheduled things in for me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

My Thoughts,
This is a tough one today but absolutely true.  I can remember a time at LightHouse Ranch when we were totally unprepared for the mob that came, out of the blue, for an evening free meal and place to sleep.  One night we had of ourselves about 30 to feed and about 40 hippies landed in our midst of us from out of no were?  The ministry was located about 15 miles south of Eureka in the middle of absolute total darkness at the farthest point west on the West coast of the U.S. in California.   We had enough food for about 40 and prayed and rested in the LORD and feed 70? Those 30 young Christians had a lot of love for Jesus and a lot of faith, right out of John 17:20-22 and Eph.4:11-16.  We had a great time that evening in our little chapel.

Another time at Lighthouse when we were just getting started this happened.   When I purchased the 7 acres and old buildings, some pre WW1 it was occupied by about 50 hippie squatters.  In fact the owner was fearful for his life and packed up the next day after I bought it, hippies and all, and left with his family.  The only building empty, the roof leaked like it was not there.  So I rented a tar kettle, taught a little about hot mop and re-roofed the duplex and moved in with about 11 people with the women on one side and the men on the other.  Well the hippies were unhappy with us Bible toting Christians.  One of the hippies had a brother in the Hell’s Angels in Bakersfield so he called him and asked him if the chapter could come to Lolita and chase the Christians out of the complex.  So the brother in Bakersfield got the chapter together to come and help his brother chase us away.

As the Chapter was riding north about 19 bikes with jackets one of the policemen in Fortuna noticed and got permission to follow and see what they were up to.  Brent and I had gone to Eureka to pick up the daily food and were also on the road back to the Lighthouse.  Well the Chapter of Hell’s Angles pulled into the Lighthouse Ranch and presumed that the Christians would have occupied the best building, which later became the chapel.  But at that time was occupied by a warlock and his coven.  The biker’s started messing with them thinking they were us.  Threw an axe through a window and started to make a big mess.  About the time the Police Car arrived with his red light on, grabbed his shotgun and set on his front fender, calling for back up.  We came in just about that time.  The nice guy cop asked me what I wanted him to do.  I told him to hang on for a few and let me go talk to the pres. of the chapter.  As they were all rather subdued by that time.  So Brent and I walked over and asked them how we could help.  The Pres. of the Chapter looked a little strange and ask me if they could stay there until one of the guys got a part for a bike that would not start.  I said sure but that we had no place to shelter them.  They said don’t worry about it.  About that time 3 more police cars pulled in, that all got out with their shot guns under the big trees by our duplex and waited for the Chapter to leave.   Well it got a lot colder and a lot wetter and by 3 AM the Chapter was blue, wet and cold to the bone.

Now where they were camping out with no cover or fire in a stormy sea wind that was about 500′ from the county road with a 5 strand barb wire fence that Leon had beautifully made, you could play a tune on the wire.  This fence was no the north side of the road out of the compound and on the south side of that little road was the automotive junk yard or bone yard as we called it with auto parts all over the place.  hippies would come in, car would fall apart, we wold push it out into the bone yard for parts if they left it or did not fix it.  So about 3 AM the biker came back with the part and the bike was fixed.  All loaded up shivering, soaked and beat and at high speed headed down long driveway out of our space.

But about that time, why I have no idea,  Leon returned with his big white Helm’s Bread Truck that filled the driveway.   He only got about 50′ up the driveway due to all the head lights headed in his direction so stopped in the middle of the driveway not allowing for much room on either side of his truck.  But the Bikers were in no mood to stop.  Even from where I was I could see the whites of Leon’s eyes and the big sign on the front of his white truck in big black letter:  “REPENT FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS AT HAND!!! All written, hippie style with runny lettering but very very clear to all.  As the bikers tried to get around Leon’s truck you could hear yells and screams the tearing of leather and the bouncing of bikes over car parts.  Talk about being at peace and watching the LORD win the battle I had never seen anything like that time when God gave 19 Big mean bikers and some girl friends a very hard cold wet spanking.   For years now, I have looked back at that time when the LORD took over and won the battle with a big grin on my face.   After this the other hippies lost heart and started leaving Lighthouse Ranch and the place became home to a lot of brand new hippie Christians and eventually became “Gospel Outreach” and ministered all over the world.  Hope you enjoyed this story and my memory of the LORD’S Victory and gained a little faith by reading about it.

Yours, in HIS great love and wonderful grace and mercy,   Ken<><    www.Trinity-Aloha.org
