VICTORY

ALOHA FAMILY & FRIENDS, Beloved of God and me, John 12:24-26, John 17:20-22

VICTORY, “WORTH CONSIDERING” 7/31/20 From Ken<><

Today’s Scripture (Across my desk this morning from Texas.)
“…You may say to yourselves, ‘These nations are stronger than we are. How can we drive them out?’ But do not be afraid of them; remember well what the LORD your God did to Pharaoh and to all Egypt…” Deuteronomy 7:17–18, NIV

Remember What God Has Done
The Israelites were headed toward the Promised Land, but they were up against nations with huge armies that were stronger and more skilled in warfare. The Israelites had just come out of slavery and were just trying to survive in the desert. They were very discouraged promoted you, not only will faith rise in your heart, but that attitude of expectancy will allow God to do great things in your future.

When Moses spoke these words to them: “Don’t be afraid. Just remember what God did to Pharaoh.” If you’re going to overcome obstacles, if you’re going to reach your highest potential, you have to learn to remember. On a regular basis, we should go back over the major victories in our life. When you face tough times and your dream looks impossible, just remember. Go back and replay your victories. Relive the times God made a way. When you’re constantly thinking about how He’s protected you, vindicated you and gave you victory. Not in pride but in faith towards GOD.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for the strength that rises within me whenever I remember what You have done in my life. Thank You for the countless times You made a way when it seemed there was no way, and You opened doors that seemed closed. I will not be afraid. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Comments
A Good Word today. Many times in past ministries I had been tempted by past failures but then reminded of the Joy of seeing the Lord’s Victories. My life has been full of valleys and mountain top spiritual victories. Even now as I was in the process of gathering another house church ministry the virus hit and so social distancing and such and at my age some danger. But in spite of the virus, spiritually things are beginning to come together. James writes about a “righteous” man in James 5:16 and the process begins with confessing faults to one another and praying for each other for the needed healing. And it goes on to teach us that Elijah was like us but by faith he became a righteous man who served GOD well in power. Of course in 1 John 4:17 we are taught by John that when we are walking in God’s perfect love we will have no concern or fear concerning God’s Judgment because we have changed to become like Jesus. If you would like a report card list of the character of Christ Jesus you will find it attached. So in spite of what others have taught you. The ultimate goal of the Holy Spirit, now on earth, is to make us into the very image and likeness of Christ Jesus. That mean we must put on Christ Jesus and become like HIM in our character. The 10 Commandments are still in effect along with the 7 deadly sins and we need to clearly understand the New Testament Commandments that Jesus teaches in the Word of God. We need to come to heart faith in humility and obedience to receive God’s Grace and Power to make the needed changes. We were originally designed to live with God and be like HIM for eternity. In this life only we have the freewill to select our destiny. Every day is a new day to decide what we are to do with our time. Much is manditory
like sleeping, eating and work for family support. At my age, being retired at near 88, I have a lot more choices as to what to do with my time. Woke up early this morning so here I am writing before dawn. The reason for this is last night the Holy Spirit told me to not to turn on a movie and to spend some time with HIM. So that is what I did and it was very profitable. He strongly reminded me that junk in, junk out. And that most everything in this world called entertainment was tainted with the world, flesh and demons. That if I really wanted to become a Righteous Man in fact (A Holy Man) that I would need to spend more of my free time learning to hear HIS voice and being taught by HIM. And here I am at near 88 needing to be reminded. So I really don’t mind passing it along and securing your prayers as I really would like to open up all of the gifts that Jesus came to give me. And I pray the same for you. After writing to you for now nearly 3 years now I suspect that most of this goes into your delete file. But hope springs eternal and I hope not as I feel we are getting very close to the time of weeding out. The 5 foolish virgins who called LORD LORD at the gate, were denied entrance. That would mean that today that fully one half of all of the folks that believe that they are Christian and have a get out of hell free card will be left outside at the gates of heaven for eternity. These were virgins who called Jesus LORD but due to the lack of oil (Holy Spirit) they were denied access to the Kingdom of God. May want to consider your oil level ?

Got a good laugh out of this one: Carl Armerding wrote about his zoo experience. “As I stood there,” he said, “an attendant entered the cage through a door on the opposite side. He had nothing in his hands but a broom. Carefully closing the door, he proceeded to sweep the floor of the cage.” He observed that the worker had no weapon to ward off an attack by the beast. In fact, when he got to the corner of the cage where the wildcat was lying, he poked the animal with the broom. The wildcat hissed at him and then lay down in another corner of the enclosure. Armerding remarked to the attendant, “You certainly are a brave man.” “No, I ain’t brave,” he replied as he continued to sweep. “Well, then, that cat must be tame.” “No,” came the reply, “he ain’t tame.” “If you aren’t brave and the wildcat isn’t tame, then I can’t understand why he doesn’t attack you.” Armerding said the man chuckled, then replied with an air of confidence, “Mister, he’s old — and he ain’t got no teeth.” Such is the devil in our lives when we realize that God is for us! We should be like the attendant. He knew that cat couldn’t hurt a fly. Satan will make a big ruckus, fussing and growling all he wants but we need to keep our eyes focused on our Lord. James 4:7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

Worthy Brief <worthybrief@worthynetwork.com> U.S. Gross Domestic Product dropped an estimated 32.9 percent in the second quarter of 2020, according to a report from the Bureau of Economic Analysis released Thursday, a result of stay-at-home orders that shuttered businesses in response to COVID-19. Despite California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s COVID-19 lockdown measures, thousands of Christians have been gathering in both indoor and outdoor services across the state, Fox News reports. The Planned Parenthood abortion provider has filed suit against The Church at Planned Parenthood (TCAPP) in Spokane, Wash. for being too loud and harming their clients, Fox News reports. Its website explains that TCAPP is not a protest but “a gathering of Christians for the worship of God… and repentance of our blood guiltiness in this abortion holocaust.” TCAPP holds a service once a month, including worship songs and prayer, after Planned Parenthood has closed for the business day.
