PERSECUTIONS

ALOHA FAMILY & FRIENDS,  Beloved of God and me.    John 3:16-18

PERSECUTION:     “WORTH CONSIDERING”   5/15/20      Fom Ken<><

Scripture:   (Across my desk this morning from Texas.)
“…Whoever wants to embrace life and see the day fill up with good, here’s what you do: Say nothing evil or hurtful…”  (1 Peter 3:10, MSG)

Sealed Lips
Our mouth gets us into more trouble than just about anything else. You can’t go around telling people off, saying hurtful things, and expect to step into the fullness of what God has for you. Many times, it’s not big things that are keeping us from God’s best; it’s not some big sin or big mistake. It’s the small things. The apostle Peter said that if you want to enjoy life and see good things, say nothing evil or hurtful. How much higher would we go if we didn’t have to have the last word or have to be right, but just quietly keep honoring God, being respectful, staying on the high road?  When David faced a lot of opposition and had plenty of opportunities to lose his cool and tell people off, he prayed a great prayer in Psalm 141: “Take control of what I say, O Lord, and keep my lips sealed.” Make that your prayer every morning.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that I can embrace life and see my days filled with good by taking control of what I say. I choose in advance to watch my words carefully today. I ask You to help me keep my lips sealed when I’m tempted to complain and argue. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Thoughts,

But how do you share he Gospel of Good News without causing a few bumps in the road?  Many, so called, Christians refuse to share the Gospel as it causes division and persecution.  In fact, they are so embarrassed and fearful that they delegate that message of Good News to others.    And then sit in judgment on them when the Cain’s, Balaam’s & Korah’s strongly object, Jude 11.   Please take time to re-read the little letter of Jude, also a son of Mary.

So when you hold a sign up on the side of a freeway, warning that the bridge over the canyon is out, many will hate you for disturbing their ride.  And they will not even slow down to take a look.  Jesus warned us that HIS message of TRUTH would cause persecution and division.  So sealed lips do not work in being obedient to sharing the Good News in Love.   So a few scriptures from Paul on Persecution.   “Persecutions, sufferings—such as occurred to me at Antioch, at Iconium, and at Lystra, persecutions I endured, but out of them all the Lord delivered me.  12 Indeed all who delight in piety and are determined to live a devoted and godly life in Christ Jesus will meet with persecution [will be made to suffer because of their religious stand].  13 But wicked men and imposters will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and leading astray others and being deceived and led astray themselves.  2 Tim. 3:11 And again from Jesus:   “And they have no real root in themselves, and so they endure for a little while; then when trouble or persecution arises on account of the Word, they immediately are offended (become displeased, indignant, resentful) and they stumble and fall away.  Jesus also mentioned:   “Whoever denies and disowns Me before men, I also will deny and disown him before My Father Who is in heaven.  34 Do not think that I have come to bring peace upon the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.  35 For I have come to part asunder a man from his father, and a daughter from her mother, and a [a]newly married wife from her mother-in-law—  36 And a man’s foes will be they of his own household.  37 He who loves [and [b]takes more pleasure in] father or mother more than [in] Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves [and takes more pleasure in] son or daughter more than [in] Me is not worthy of Me;  In other word, Sharing the Gospel even at home is going to cause persecution and divisions and Jesus is clearly teaching here that we are to follow no other example but HIS.  As HE taught in Matt. 12:25 “And knowing their thoughts, He said to them, Any kingdom that is divided against itself is being brought to desolation and laid waste, and no city or house divided against itself will last or continue to stand.  Also Mark 3:25, “And if a house is divided (split into factions and rebelling) against itself, that house will not be able to last.”  So in actuality, agreeing to disagree only wastes time.  It is better to walk in HIS Truth and live alone than to live in a divided home with contention and division and persecution.   In unity God’s power is relesed: Lev. 26:8  Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight; your enemies shall fall before you by the sword.  Deut. 32:30 How could one have chased a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them, and the Lord had delivered them up?  We find the same thought in John 17:22: “ I have given to them the glory (power) and honor which You have given Me, that they may be one [even] as We are one: In fact the whole chapter is a prayer for us and our unity, especially beginning at verse 20.  Neither for these alone do I pray [it is not for their sake only that I make this request], but also for all those who will ever come to believe in (trust in, cling to, rely on) Me through their word and teaching,  21 That they all may be one, [just] as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be one in Us, so that the world may believe and be convinced that You have sent Me.  22 I have given to them the glory and honor which You have given Me, that they may be one [even] as We are one:  23 I in them and You in Me, in order that they may become one and perfectly united, that the world may know and [definitely] recognize that You sent Me and that You have loved them [even] as You have loved Me.  24 Father, I desire that they also whom You have entrusted to Me [as Your gift to Me] may be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory, which You have given Me [Your love gift to Me]; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.

Yours, in HIS great Love and wonderful Grace and Mercy,   Ken<><   www.Trinity-Aloha.org

“I am convinced that many evangelicals are not truly and soundly converted… When they read the Sermon on the Mount or the teaching passages of the epistles that tell them how to live or the doctrinal passages that tell how they can live, they are unaffected. The Spirit who wrote them is not witnessing in their hearts because they have not been born of the Spirit.” – A W Tozer.

Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell says the United States may face a prolonged economic downturn, and new unemployment numbers out Thursday morning seem to reinforce his prediction. The latest stats reveal nearly 3 million more Americans filed for jobless aid –coronavirus-related layoffs now reaching 36 million.  Nearly 40% of lower-income Americans lost work as the coronavirus pandemic began its assault on the U.S. economy, according to the Federal Reserve.  worthybrief@worthynetwork.com

MIDDLE OF THE ROAD

ALOHA FAMILY & FRIENDS,  Beloved of God and me,   John 3:16-18

MIDDLE OF THE ROAD,   “WORTH CONSIDERING” 5/14/20 From Ken<><

Today’s Scripture   (Found in my e-mails this morning from Texas.}
“…Be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord…”  (1 Corinthians 15:58, NKJV)

Be Steadfast and Immovable
To “be steadfast and immovable” is a powerful choice we need to make. “I am not going to be moved by my circumstances. I’m not going to let what others say about me steal my joy. I’m not going to live worried about my finances. I’m going to do my best and trust God to do what I can’t do. I have the grace from God to handle anything that comes my way.”  As long as you’re allowing circumstances to determine your peace and joy, your life is going to be like a roller coaster ride that’s based on what goes your way. That’s surface living. God is saying, “You have to go down deeper in your faith.” Rather than try to use your faith to control your circumstances, use your faith to control yourself in the midst of those circumstances. When you stay in peace, that’s a place of power. You know that no weapon formed against you will prosper.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for Your peace and joy as I put my trust in You. Help me to be steadfast and consistent, unmoved by the ups and downs of life. I believe You have given me the grace to handle anything that comes my way today. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Thoughts:
So here we are called to be EXCEPTIONAL….  How many steadfast people in Christ Jesus do you know at this time?  Probably don’t even need two hands to count them on.  Actually the prophetic disposition of our generation as being wishy washy is all through Holy Scripture.  Let’s take a look and the end time church that we happen to be living in.   “And to the angel (messenger) of the assembly (church) in Laodicea write: “These are the words of the Amen, the trusty and faithful and true Witness, the Origin and Beginning and Author of God’s creation:  15 I know your [record of] works and what you are doing; you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were cold or hot!  16 So, because you are lukewarm and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of My mouth! 17 For you say, I am rich; I have prospered and grown wealthy, and I am in need of nothing; and you do not realize and understand that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked.  18 Therefore I counsel you to purchase from Me gold refined and tested by fire, that you may be [truly] wealthy, and white clothes to clothe you and to keep the shame of your nudity from being seen, and salve to put on your eyes, that you may see.  19 Those whom I [dearly and tenderly] love, I tell their faults and convict and convince and reprove and chasten [I discipline and instruct them]. So be enthusiastic and in earnest and burning with zeal and repent [changing your mind and attitude].  20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears and listens to and heeds My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will eat with him, and he [will eat] with Me.  21 He who overcomes (is victorious), I will grant him to sit beside Me on My throne, as I Myself overcame (was victorious) and sat down beside My Father on His throne.  22 He who is able to hear, let him listen to and heed what the [Holy] Spirit says to the assemblies (churches).  Rev.3:14-22,   And notice that Jesus is outside this Church knocking to get in.   And this is supposed to be HIS church.     Whooo !!!

And take a look at Paul’s prophesy: “But understand this, that in the last days will come (set in) perilous times of great stress and trouble [hard to deal with and hard to bear].  2 For people will be lovers of self and [utterly] self-centered, lovers of money and aroused by an inordinate [greedy] desire for wealth, proud and arrogant and contemptuous boasters. They will be abusive (blasphemous, scoffing), disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy and profane.  3 [They will be] without natural [human] affection (callous and inhuman), relentless (admitting of no truce or appeasement); [they will be] slanderers (false accusers, troublemakers), intemperate and loose in morals and conduct, uncontrolled and fierce, haters of good.  4 [They will be] treacherous [betrayers], rash, [and] inflated with self-conceit. [They will be] lovers of sensual pleasures and vain amusements more than and rather than lovers of God.  5 For [although] they hold a form of piety (true religion), they deny and reject and are strangers to the power of it [their conduct belies the genuineness of their profession]. Avoid [all] such people [turn away from them].  2 Tim.3

So it is obvious that if you really want to spend eternity in God’s Heaven you are going to have to allow the HOLY SPIRIT to give you God’s Grace and help you to become an exceptional Christian.  You are going to end up really being like Jesus if you allow the Holy Spirit do the work HE was assigned to do with you.  Mediocracy will not make the cut.  Driving in the middle of the road will only end in a car wreck.  John teaches beautifully what Jesus said: “ I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, Unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains [just one grain; it never becomes more but lives] by itself alone. But if it dies, it produces many others and yields a rich harvest.  25 Anyone who loves his life loses it, but anyone who hates his life in this world will keep it to life eternal. [Whoever has no love for, no concern for, no regard for his life here on earth, but despises it, preserves his life forever and ever.]  26 If anyone serves Me, he must continue to follow Me [[a]to cleave steadfastly to Me, conform wholly to My example in living and, if need be, in dying] and wherever I am, there will My servant be also. If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.”   John 12:24-26

REPENTENCE

ALOHA FAMILY & FRIENDS,  Beloved of God and me,    John 3:16-18

REPENTANCE,   “WORTH CONSIDERING”    5/13/20,    From Ken<><

Today’s Scripture   (Across my desk today from a church in Texas.)
“…The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!…” (John 1:29, NKJV)

The Lamb of God
In the Old Testament, the only way to have forgiveness for sins was to sacrifice an animal. Every year on the Day of Atonement, the high priest would offer a sacrifice for his sins and the sins of all the people. If the sacrifice met all the requirements, their sins would be taken away, and they would be covered until the next year’s Day of Atonement sacrifice. This was an ongoing process of temporary forgiveness.  Jesus is the Lamb of God who actually takes away our sin. Now we can live with the confidence that all our sins—past, present, and future—have not just been covered, but they have been washed away by the power of His blood and death on the cross. We have an everlasting release. The price has already been paid, and you are forgiven. Don’t go around feeling guilty, condemned, trying to pay God back for your mistakes. Receive His forgiveness, receive His mercy, receive His love.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that I am forgiven, thank You that I am redeemed by the blood of Your Son, Jesus. Thank You that the price for my sins has been paid once and for all. I receive Your love and forgiveness and refuse to live under guilt and condemnation. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Thoughts,
Repent, a word study on repent:    [Search domain en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Repentance] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Repentance    Meaning:   Repentance is the activity of reviewing one’s actions and feeling contrition or regret for past wrongs, which is accompanied by commitment to and actual actions that show and prove a change for the better. In Judaism and Christianity it is often defined as an action, turning away from self-serving activities and turning to God, to walk in His ways.

As to concerning past sins if with true repentance, forgiveness is a slam dunk and done in Christ Jesus,  Isa.53.  As for the present sins, with true repentance and change also God’s Gift is forgiveness is available.  As to the future, the potential is there but we also need to be aware of sowing and reaping.  That if we sow weeds, we grow weeds as James teaches us: “But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. 16 Do not err, my beloved brethren.”  Death here is a warning that the Christians could still miss heaven.   Please notice it is written to Christians.  John also covers it very nicely: “ If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. 1 John 1:8:10 And please note there is the little conditional word “IF” which is used here 3 times.   Which means “IF” you do this then GOD will do that.  Which also means that our active free will is totally involved in our forgiveness.  And to get a better understanding of Repentance, Paul gives us some understanding in his letter to the Corinthian Church:   “ Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing. 10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. 11 For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter.”  2 Cor. 7:9-11.   And in other words, true repentance carries the understanding that you totally commit your will to not go their again.  You have a new beginning in that area of excess like temper and a whole host of sins that we have learned the lie about to feel OK.  After the second time I painfully broke a bone in my right hand fighting, I never got into another fight.  I hated being teased but I also learned not to fight about it.  (early teens, hormone storms.)  So as we are really sincere about walking with Jesus we have to learn to repent from the ground up and change that way about how we live, completely. It is like the time that I tasted a very small Hawaiian red pepper.  That was it, never again.  While in the Army my vocabulary was mostly profanity.  When I became a Christian, I knew that it had to go, but what an effort to get my heart use to using new adjectives.   Bit my tongue a lot of time, especially having dinner with mom….  Whew!!!  But years later after working on it I had this happen.  I was running to do something and caught the center of my right knee cap on my bull dozer tread of my T340 cat.  It did not move and it tossed me backwards in pain.  But to my great surprise, I said very loudly, PRAISE THE LORD ! And I said to myself, “Where did that come from???”  And I realize that my heart had finally and totally shut the barn door on my profanity.  Then I followed with “Thank you Jesus” and the pain went totally away and I was on the go again.   But to me that is where true godly repentance take us.  And that is the kind of repentance that the Holy Bible shares with us.  Notice in the Revelation that the prophesy notes that those under judgment would would not Repent.  Rev. 2:21, 9:20, 9:21, 16:9 & 16:11   A touch of Mozart (1787) in black opera of where non-repentance goes: Their kind of thinking, but profoundly accurate.

Go our Creator God expect us to repent of anything not like Jesus.  I have attached a list of the characteristics of Christ Jesus so you can make a personal report card and see how you are doing, incomplete of course.  For John teaches us from Jesus: “ And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. 17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.”  1 John 4:16 -18 Be sure to digest this for the really deep meanings as there is much there between the lines.

PEACE & GOOD NEWS

ALOHA FAMILY & FRIENDS,  Beloved of God and me,    John 3:16-18

PEACE & GOOD NEWS,  “WORTH CONSIDERING” 5/12/20 From Ken<><

Today’s Scripture    (Across my desk this morning from Texas.)
“…Avoiding a fight is a mark of honor; only fools insist on quarreling…”   (Proverbs 20:3, NLT)

Marked by Honor
A lot of times we think winning a fight is a mark of honor. We walk away from an argument thinking, I won that fight. I told them off. That’s not winning. You fed your ego, but it didn’t strengthen your relationship. You may have won the argument, but how much damage was done? When we say hurtful things, it exacts a heavy price. The real way to win is to avoid it and walk away. That’s a mark of honor. It takes humility. Pride wants to argue and have the last word.  There’s a right way and a right time to address your differences. Do it calmly, express your concerns, and then leave it there. If it starts getting heated, walk away. When you do it God’s way, He’ll fight your battles. He’ll change what needs to be changed. Do what you can to keep the atmosphere loving, kind, and peaceful. Be a person of honor and avoid the fight.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for calling me to be a person marked by honor. Help me to know the right way and a right time to quietly and calmly address my differences with others. I want to do it Your way and leave it to You to fight my battles. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Thoughts:
Actually there is no real code of ethics concerning differences.  For me, I try to stay really close to the Holy Spirit as some times it is to speak to: “Edification, Exhortation and Comfort” 1 Cor.14:3 and at other times to: “Reprove, Rebuke & Exhort with long suffering and doctrine” 2 Tim. 4:1-3.   We find this freedom in the ministry of Christ Jesus and the Apostles.  So it would seem that all possible ways of resolving conflict are on the table.  Jesus even advised Peter to purchase a sword for family protection.  Matt. 10:34,  Luke 22:36-38.  At given points in the LORD’S ministry HE took very different positions.  Personally I feel they were all closely guided by the Holy Spirit.  But there are no limitations as to the options.  For the harlot, “neither do I condemn thee.   But for the religious leaders, your father is the devil…  The gold coin from the fish to pay the taxes but the tables in the Temple of the money changes are up ended.  Even in dying HE managed to save one of the thieves dying with HIM.  And HE was more concerned for the souls of the men driving spikes into HIS feet than he was the awesome pain HE was experiencing.  Personally I know that feet have a lot of nerve ending, for sure.   And I deeply feel that our concerns from the lost could use some adjustments.  Sharing Christ Jesus, of course has to come by way of God’s love for the lost.  And with it that we have been invited to join the Holy Spirit in the supernatural harvest.  And we clearly see in 1 Cor.3:6-8 that anyone can learn to be a good gardener and be rewarded.  I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. 7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. 8 Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.  And this sowing and harvesting is not just for the Elders to do, It is for everyone to learn how to do.  The sheep bear the lambs.  Take a look as some beautiful feet in Romans 10:14-16: “.How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 and how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! 16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?  And in John 17:20-22 Christ Jesus prayed for us here today: Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; 21 that they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. 22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: And of course, David, can not forget David after all he went through.  Psalm 107:1-3, “O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good:for his mercy endureth for ever.  2 Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy; 3 and gathered them out of the lands,  from the east, and from the west,  from the north, and from the south.”  So if you are redeemed from the hand of the enemy, what responsibility do you have before the Heavenly Father.  How do you think HE will feel about it after the cost of redemption if we are too fearful or self conscious or prideful to share the good news?

Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.   Hebrews 13:20-21

SALVATION & PRAYER

ALOHA FAMILY & FRIENDS,  Beloved of God and me.   John 3:16-18

SALVATION & PRAYER,  “WORTH CONSIDERING”   3/11/20     From Ken<><

Today’s Scripture
“…You do not have because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures…”  (James 4:2–3, NKJV)

Weak Prayers
When James says “you ask amiss,” the word amiss means “sick, weak, miserable.” When we ask to just get by and endure, that’s a weak prayer. That’s asking amiss. God is saying, “I created the whole universe. Don’t come to Me with a weak prayer, asking Me to help you live in mediocrity. Ask big, knowing that I’m the God of more than enough. Ask Me to show out in your life, to heal you from that disease, to accelerate your goals.”   When you ask big, God calls that a healthy prayer. That’s when He says to the angels, “Go to work. Release My favor. Open new doors.” Ask to be the difference maker. Ask to set a new standard. When you say, “God, I don’t have the funds for this project, but I want to thank You that blessings are chasing me down,” that’s your faith being released. That’s what allows God to do great things.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that You want to do great things in my life so that You will be glorified as the God who is more than enough. Help me to pray healthy prayers that release Your favor and open new doors. I declare that am taking the limits off You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Thoughts:
The disciples of Christ, asked Jesus to teach them how to pray.  He gave them a simple form to follow Matt 6:9-15.  “After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. 14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: 15 but if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” And then later John 17 was recorded as an example of prayer.   Personally I feel like faith as like anything in the Kingdom of God, we have been invited into a learning process.   And like most things even with spiritual growth, there is a spiritual learning process like learning to walk or talk or use of the bathroom.  At least that was my experience with my kids.   After a child falls for the 3 time no parent says OK,  you can crawl for the rest of your life.    So also with prayer, there is a faith learning process that we can even forget and have to learn again and again like me with spelling words.  Could write one 500 times and miss it the next test.  And of course there is two types of prayer,   Head prayer and Heart prayer.  When it is Head prayer it is more of a hope so.  But with Heart prayer it is more of a know so.  Romans 10:9-10 is an example of this.   Do you really know you are a child of God, or do you just think you are a child of God?  Basically the 10 Commandments were given to show that we needed a savior.  That we could not even keep the 1st of the 10 commandments.  Exodus 20:3-4 So it is very important to have heart faith concerning your salvation.  Head faith is fickled and changes with the wind.  Changes on a dime.  So our Creator gave us a list of don’ts which we mostly ignore, especially that one about coveting.
“You shall have no other gods before Me. You shall not make for yourself an idol. “You shall not recognize other gods before Me. You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth.”

“You shall not take the name of God in vain.
“You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not leave him unpunished who takes His name in vain.” (Exodus 20:7) (Saying God said it when HE didn’t.)
“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God; you shall not do any work, you or your son or your daughter, your male or your female servant, your animal or your stranger within your gates.” (Exodus 20:8–10)
“Honor your father and your mother, so that your days may be prolonged in the land which the Lord your God gives you.” (Exodus 20:12)
“You shall not murder.” (Exodus 20:13)
“You shall not commit adultery.” (Exodus 20:13)
“You shall not steal.” (Exodus 20:13)
“You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.” (Exodus 20:13)
“You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife or his male servant or his female servant or his ox or his donkey or anything that belongs to your neighbor.” (Exodus 20:14) Obviously we can’t keep the 1st commandment 24/7 for a life time…..  So we all need to make Christ Jesus LORD to receive the gift of eternal life to have any future at all.  So as we get into the Holy Scriptures written by the Prophets of God, our faith grows until we come to have heart faith.  It is heart faith that changes us from hoping to knowing.  It is heart faith that also changes us and heals us and sets us free in Christ Jesus.  It is Heart faith in the precious promises that changes our Adamic nature into the nature like that of Christ Jesus.

So if you have broken any of these commandments at any time, the Bible teaches, “The soul that sins shall die.” (Be separated from GOD.)   Exek 18:4-20     BUT!!  The gift of eternal life is through Christ Jesus our LORD!” Rom. 6:23.   And the prospect of receiving Eternal Life of being born from above,  John 3, into the Family of God just gets us started in learning how to be a citizen of the Kingdom of God.  You don’t get the Kingdom car keys until you pay your dues, are trustworthy and learn the rules of the road and secure some mechanical skills. it is a matter of maturity.   Even then, I have still managed to wreck, not a few, Kingdom Kars…  So with the example the LORD gave his disciples, go through it.  Do you really know, really... that GOD is your Heavenly Father?   Most have no real secure knowledge whether that is true or not.  After I made the decision to make Christ Jesus Lord while reading 1 Cor.3:11-15 it still took about 6 month to get my heart to believe it, for sure.  I am still building on that decision back in 1955.  That is why I write to you.  When I share HIS truth it also helps me to be more secure. And your as well, I hope.  But then you might, by now, be just hitting the delete key on your computer.

REST     “WORTH CONSIDERING”    5/9/20     From Ken<><

Just doing some paper work, bills and stuff today,  day is nearly gone and listening to some good music.
Thought you might like to take 5, hang 10 and join me.

One of my favorite movie themes is from Gladiator looking for his heaven and family.
Not quite there, needed to finish off the bad guy and then he was free.   A fantasy, but had a good heart.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pL0bxewHbjo

Earlier I was listening to some choral music singing about King Jesus in Latin and deeply remembering how much I enjoyed the time when 16 and again at 20 singing this stuff,  so here is a touch.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKityhJZDV0
And I was sinking deeply into some really old memories the Holy Spirit quietly said,  Yes, and I enjoyed hearing you sing of the Glory of the LORD at that time as well….  It really touched me deeply that even as a Jacob at that time.  I was headed towards hell, even then but God was there with me in those moments of light in HIS goodness of drawing me towards him.  The English words were below the Latin so the meaning could be understood and some times was frightening but it took another 6 years before I was able to find the faith to walk through the door into the LORD’s Kingdom.  He is still with me, even now, still teaching me to let go of the world and find my total completeness in HIM.  A lot of saints have passed me by.  Seems like the LORD has given me more time as I truly need it.

Mozart also did a bit of black opera and I love Kirt Moll’s voice and the profound message.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hY_bQpmEBc0
A father returning from the dead to try to get his debouching son into heaven.  If you are a Christian Parent you may know the feeling.  In Mozart’s day they had a keen understanding of heaven and hell,  Today it is a little like mush.  Most folks think they are good people and as such will surly go to heaven.  But it is faith that saves not works.

Of course songs of redemption by the Lamb of God (Agnus Dei)  were perfected in those days like:

Barber – AGNUS DEI (arr. Adagio for Strings) – Rotterdam Symphony Chorus – (LIVE)  and even today by  Michael W. Smith:   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HPBmFwBSGb0

So it seems to me that in the Absolute Foreknowledge of God we are loved for our whole journey in time.   And HE is with us even before we make Christ Jesus Lord in seeking to protect and help us to make good decisions.  Of course we were also created in this temporary dimension of time with a freewill to choose our own path.  Otherwise we would just be a robot parroting out what was programed in.  There could be no moral judgment with this as the basis.  So your eternity is a work in progress and totally up to you.  God has already done all HE can for us to help us find HIM.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OyZ0EyVGmNA

TRUTH (conditional scriptures)

ALOHA FAMILY & FRIENDS,  Beloved of God and me.    John 3:16-18

TRUTH (conditional scripture)     “WORTH CONSIDERING” 5/8/20   From   Ken<><
Today’s Scripture    (Across my desk this morning from a church in Texas.)
“…But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ…”  (2 Cor. 11:3, NIV)

Who Told You That?
In the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve were living confident and secure with God. They knew they had His blessing and favor. But one day the enemy deceived them into eating the forbidden fruit, and immediately they were afraid. They ran and hid. When God called out to Adam, “Where are you?” Adam said, “We’re hiding because we’re naked.” God asked, “Who told you that you were naked?”

God is asking us today, “Who told you that you’re not good enough? That you’re just average? That you can’t accomplish your dreams?” Those negative thoughts didn’t come from our God. Those lies open the door to fear, insecurity, and shame. They focus on what we’re not, on the mistakes we’ve made, on what other people have said about us. Don’t let the enemy deceive you. You are a child of the Most High God. You are not average or mediocre; you are royalty. Keep your crown on.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that You have given me a crown of glory and honor and even the enemy does not have the power to take it from me. Thank You that I am covered by Your grace and made in Your image. I declare my confidence is in You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Thoughts:
This may be true, but with the exception.  Rom. 8.   You are secure only as long as you truly allow Christ Jesus to be your LORD.  But if you continue to embrace the lies of sin there will be a conception or union with sin which will result in your separation from God.  You will find the word “IF” used many times in Holy Scripture which is a conditional word.  Salvation is conditional on Christ Jesus being your LORD (Master, Boss, King)   Our Creator God is building a Kingdom of Righteousness.  We have been invited, We can be forgiven.  We have been given a new set of clothes to wear of righteousness.  If you refuse to wear them you will be rejected from the new Kingdom.  And sin is what God calls sin and is not up for us to make a progressive interpretation.  You can remain as a child of Adam or you can choose to become a child of God but you are on one side or the other, there is no grey.  The choice is black or white, darkness or light.  Lets consider some “conditional” verses of scripture in Romans 8:8 So then those who are living the life of the flesh [catering to the appetites and impulses of their carnal nature] cannot please or satisfy God, or be acceptable to Him….13 For if you live according to [the dictates of] the flesh, you will surely die. But if through the power of the [Holy] Spirit you are [habitually] putting to death (making extinct, deadening) the [evil] deeds prompted by the body, you shall [really and genuinely] live forever.  14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons (children) of God….29 For those whom He foreknew [of whom He was [k] aware and [l] loved beforehand], He also destined from the beginning [foreordaining them] to be molded into the image of His Son [and share inwardly His likeness], that He might become the firstborn among many brethren.          And of course it is difficult to understand God’s absolute foreknowledge.  But our Creator God saw before any creation the type of life that you would choose to live and knew who HIS elect would be before they were even born.   However, we are now locked into a temporary time dimension and only see yesterday, today and tomorrow.  So we are making very valid decisions every day for which we will be eternally responsible for.  Freewill is absolutely essential to being able to keep the 1st of the 10 commandments in loving God and then ourselves and then each other.  Love demands choice.  We have the freewill to choose to make Christ Jesus Lord or not, it is up to us.  But if we do make HIM LORD then there is the New Testament to share with us,  HIS commandments to keep.  And it is for each of us to clearly understand in context what the prophets of God have shared.  There is much to learn and change to be able to conform to the very image of Christ Jesus.  And the Holy Spirit will help us with God’s Grace and Power if we will have heart faith for it.     This is a difficult concept to understand but Biblical,  there is more on it in our files.

Politics: (Well written, “Worth Considering.”   5/8/20
Dannie Poe • 19 hours ago:  Disregarding their hate for Trump, I would like the Socialist Elements of our government to understand why we elect our own President? We elect our President to be the voice of the people, not the voice of our politicians. I understand that the Political Correct Politicians hate it that the people voted Trump into office as a Outsider, but the people wanted this Political Correctness to end. Rule of Law should always prevail over the will of the Party in power. We elect our leaders to represent the wishes of the people, not to for-fill the agenda of any one Party. YES, they have a (R) or (D) behind their name, but when they are elected the only correctness that counts is the correctness passed as Rule of Law. These laws are laws created by the votes of our US Congress, thus must apply to all citizens not just Political Correct citizens. If they find fault in our laws, it is our US Congress that must correct any faults. In fact is is their responsibility to do so. I can argue that for the past fifty years our US Government has butchered our US Constitution and it’s Rule of Law. The rights listed in the First and Second Amendment have suffered the most. When religious freedom is suppressed, when free speech is suppressed, when freedom of assembly is outlawed, when words are censured, and another weapon is deemed unconstitutional or restricted every US Citizens pays the price of less freedom. It seems that “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of…” means nothing to our US Congress.  If this continues, “We the people…” will be living under Socialism in no time. We are only a few votes away to make Socialism a reality. The easiest way to lose your freedom is to give it away

CCP-19
According to a CDC report in March, nearly 90% of patients hospitalized with coronavirus (COVID-19) had one or more underlying health conditions. The most common were hypertension (49.7%), obesity (48.3%), chronic lung disease (34.6%), diabetes (28.3%), and cardiovascular disease (27.8%).  These conditions were even more prevalent in deceased COVID-19 patients, according to data released by Louisiana, New York and New Jersey.

REPENT    “WORTH CONSIDERING”   5/7/20    From Ken<><

Today’s Scripture
“…While he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him…”  (Luke 15:20, NIV)

God Loves Imperfect People
Most of the time, we believe that God loves us as long as we’re making good decisions, resisting temptation, and treating people right. But there will be times when you compromise, times when you have doubts, times when you fail. When we don’t perform perfectly, it’s easy to think that God is far from us.

I say this respectfully, but sometimes religion pushes people down. It says, “If you make poor choices, you’re on your own.” But the truth is that when you fall, God doesn’t turn away from you. He comes running toward you. When you blow it, God doesn’t say, “Too bad. You had your chance.” Rather, He comes after you with a greater passion. When you make a mistake, God loves you so much that He pursues you. He won’t leave you alone until He sees you restored and back on the right course. That’s the mercy of God coming after you. God loves imperfect people.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that Your love and forgiveness are not based on my performance but upon the fact that I am Your child. Thank You that You love me, imperfect as I am, and that every mistake I’ve made and ever will make has already been paid for in full. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Thoughts:
Actually the story tells us clearly that the father still loved the son in his disobedience and the use of his inheritance for sinful living but his father did not chase him down.  He waited for the son to find Heart Repentance and return on his own freewill volition.   And when, “he came to himself” and repented while feeding the pigs better food than he was getting, the father received him with 1st class rejoicing.  (The above notes seem to smack of Calvinism?)

You will find the cry of REPENT !!!  Written everywhere throughout the Holy Bible.   Repent means to quit what you are doing that is destructive as per the commandments of GOD and turn towards GOD in faith.  It is GOD’s grace that then begins the work in us to cleanse and sanctify us for our home coming.   John the Baptist preached repentance, Jesus preached repentance, Peter at Pentecost preached repentance, Paul wrote much of his New Testament letters concerning repentance.   Only with repentance can our Heavenly Father give us the grace and promises to help us stay clear of the sinful lies of this world.  So Repentance and setting God’s true foundation of Christ Jesus as LORD in your heart starts the process of change to learn to become an obedient child of God.  In John 8, Jesus noted that the religious rulers of HIS day were really the children of lucifer or satan as the were not following in the footsteps of the faith of Abraham.  So our citizenship is determined by our choice of who ever we follow.  So we must repent from being the children of Adam and apply for citizenship in the Kingdom of God.   Think about that and what that entails to change citizenships.  Muslims are now requesting that the U S allow them to bring into the U.S. the laws of Islam?  Think that will work?   And yet many have come to the commandments found in the Bible as the guide to Heaven and think nothing wrong in changing them.   And yet still expect GOD to judge us based on our personal set of rules or by not knowing the laws.   So lets take a look as some of the scriptures.  After what David went through he warns us: “With my whole heart have I sought You, inquiring for and of You and yearning for You; Oh, let me not wander or step aside [either in ignorance or willfully] from Your commandments.  11 Your word have I laid up in my heart, that I might not sin against You.  12 Blessed are You, O Lord; teach me Your statutes.  13 With my lips have I declared and recounted all the ordinances of Your mouth.  14 I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies as much as in all riches.  15 I will meditate on Your precepts and have respect to Your ways [the paths of life marked out by Your law].  16 I will delight myself in Your statutes; I will not forget Your word.  Psalms 119:10-16.   Apostle Paul reminds Timothy  But understand this, that in the last days will come (set in) perilous times of great stress and trouble [hard to deal with and hard to bear]. 6 For among them are those who worm their way into homes and captivate silly and weak-natured and spiritually dwarfed women, loaded down with [the burden of their] sins [and easily] swayed and led away by various evil desires and seductive impulses.  7 [These weak women will listen to anybody who will teach them]; they are forever inquiring and getting information, but are never able to arrive at a recognition and knowledge of the Truth.  And finishes with:  Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God’s will in thought, purpose, and action),  17 So that the man of God may be complete and proficient, well fitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work.  1 Tim. 3

News in Brief to pray about…     worthybrief@worthynetwork.com    Could use some prayer.
The FBI recorded 2.9 million background checks for the purchase of firearms in the month of April, the Washington Examiner reported. Under US federal law, all gun distributors must run background checks with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives to ascertain buyers have no criminal record preventing them from owning a gun.    Israel’s government has threatened to close down an evangelical television channel broadcasting in Hebrew if it violates laws on proselytizing and missionary activities. Tuesday’s announcement came after global network GOD TV launched Shelanu (“Ours”) to spread “the gospel of Jesus Christ into the homes and lives and hearts of the Jewish people.”

INTEGRITY         “WORTH CONSIDERING”     5/6/20   from Ken<><

Today’s Scripture     (In my e-mails this morning from Texas.)
“…So Boaz took Ruth and she became his wife…and she gave birth to a son…Obed. He was the father of Jesse, the father of David…”  (Ruth 4:13, 17, NIV)

Something Big
A young widow named Ruth left her home country and moved to her elderly mother-in-law’s home to take care of her. They barely had enough food to survive. Ruth went into the fields to pick up the leftover wheat that the workers missed. One day Boaz, the wealthy man who owned the field, noticed Ruth and told his workers to leave handfuls of wheat on purpose for Ruth. Now she didn’t have to work nearly as hard. God was meeting their needs, and she was so grateful. But God is full of surprises. Just when you’re satisfied and think you’ve reached your limits, God has something bigger in mind. Boaz fell in love with Ruth, and they got married. Now instead of working in the field, Ruth owned the field! And on top of that, their great-grandson was named David. Ruth went from barely surviving to ending up in the family line of Jesus Christ. God has something big coming your way!

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that You know every hardship and hurt, every unfair and difficult situation I have faced and will face. I choose to believe that You have more blessings and favor for me than I can dream. I believe that something big is coming my way. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Thoughts:
A rather amazing story that is supported by many other stories like that in the Bible like Issac, Joseph and some fishermen.  Of course it is a story of faith as usual But faith in taking what is in your hand and to what ever you do, to do,  as unto the LORD.  Joseph, is an amazing story of Joseph being Joseph where ever he was.  It seems he continued to love his family even after his brothers except one, wanted to murder him.  And then in being sold as a slave he still did not sink into a great depression but did the best he could with what he had been given and soon was running the farm.  And even after falsely being accused and finding himself in the dungeons of Egypt he still was Joseph and did what he could in being helpful and ended up running the prison.  And if you follow the story Joseph ended up being 2nd in charge of Egypt and in saving both Egypt and his family and later was reunited with his brothers in love.

The Story of Ruth follows a similar pattern.  After Ruth and Naomi’s husbands died Naomi decided to return home .  We see a picture of  Ruth’s attitude in her remarks: “But Ruth replied, “Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God. 17 Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord deal with me, be it ever so severely, if even death separates you and me.” 18 When Naomi realized that Ruth was determined to go with her, she stopped urging her.  19 So the two women went on until they came to Bethlehem. When they arrived in Bethlehem, the whole town was stirred because of them, and the women exclaimed, “Can this be Naomi?” Ruth 1:16-19.    So Naomi did not end up in a pity party of poor me and Ruth stayed with her Mother in Law in faith and love and ended up in Bethlehem.  (Now that is really a coincidence, is it not?)  .  But Ruth did the best she knew to deal with the dangers of being alone and gleaning someone else’s field in a foreign country.  It is obvious that she was not leaving a mess behind her.  What ever Boaz saw that encouraged him to try to help her was visible in the way she appled herself in his fields.  Most likely Ruth did not notice Boaz as she was intent in bringing food home for her mother-in-law.  Talk about a friendship, honor, faith, care and love, it is all displayed here in Ruth.  And this with only a mother-in-law.   Truly it seems that Ruth was right out of Prov.31:10.   This seems a beautiful fulfillment of God prime design in HIS creation of Eve for Adam.

18 Now the Lord God said, It is not good (sufficient, satisfactory) that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper (suitable, adapted, complementary) for him.  19 And out of the ground the Lord God formed every [wild] beast and living creature of the field and every bird of the air and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them; and whatever Adam called every living creature, that was its name.  20 And Adam gave names to all the livestock and to the birds of the air and to every [wild] beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found a helper meet (suitable, adapted, complementary) for him.  21 And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam; and while he slept, He took one of his ribs or a part of his side and closed up the [place with] flesh.  22 And the rib or part of his side which the Lord God had taken from the man He built up and made into a woman, and He brought her to the man.  23 Then Adam said, This [creature] is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of a man.  24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and shall become united and cleave to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.  25 And the man and his wife were both naked and were not embarrassed or ashamed in each other’s presence.

In counseling with young men, I often tell them that when you have prepared yourself to be a good husband then God will also have prepared a good wife for you to help you and be complementary to the work that God has called you to do.  So quit the shopping and dating.  Look what God did for Boaz, Isaac and for Joseph.   Of course this got messed up in the pride, rebellion and disobedience of Adam.  But in Christ Jesus it can again be restored.  And out of the generations of Ruth & Boaz, we find the generations of Mary & Joseph back through David as a validation of prophesy concerning Christ Jesus the LORD.  So look what God was able to do with Ruth’s faith,  humility, Integrity and obedience in gleaning a foreign field for grain to help her mother-in-law to survive.  It had nothing and everything to do with her future. “Little is much when God is in it.”  So it is not about what we must do, but what can we do?  So where every you go, look for, find, and do as you can to assist the Kingdom of God.   In eternity that will be all that counts,  1 Cor. 3:11-23…

ALOHA FAMILY & FRIENDS,   Beloved of God and me….      John 3:16-18

HEART FAITH 2    “WORTH CONSIDERING”   5/5/20    From Ken<><

Today’s Scripture     (Found in my e-mail’s this morning from Texas.)
“…Now this wonderful statement—that he was accepted and approved through his faith—wasn’t just for Abraham’s benefit. It was for us, too, assuring us that God will accept us in the same way he accepted Abraham…”  (Romans 4:23–24, TLB)

It’s Not about Your Performance
Too often we get our performance mixed up with our identity. You ask somebody, “Who are you?” and they answer, “I’m a nurse.” But the truth is, that’s what they do, not who they are. You are a child of the Most High God. That’s where your value, your worth comes from—your who, not your do. You may do some wrong things, but that is not who you are. Nothing that you do changes your value because your value comes from your Creator. So feel good about who you are. When you’re positive toward yourself, you’re in agreement with God. If you make a mistake, the moment you ask God to forgive you, He not only forgives you but He forgets it. Quit remembering what God has forgotten. Quit listening to all the accusing voices telling you what you’re not. Your performance isn’t perfect, but you are accepted and approved through your faith. That’s what matters to God.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that You are the God of Abraham and my God as well. Thank You that You accept and approve me because of my faith and not because of my performance. I declare that I feel good about who I am and ask You to help me become my best. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Thoughts:
Good word today.   Often we tend to run our days by habit, good or bad.  I was reading about Israel and cell phone in driving.  They now take a picture of the driver through the windshield with the lic. Number on the front and send a hefty bill for a fine if caught.  I suspect this is changing a lot of habits rather quickly in Israel.  And for us sowing and reaping always ends up with a ticket somewhere along the line.  So our Creator has set in place a law to help us change to become like Jesus.  After you do the same begative thing several times and the results are always negative we do tend to get it eventually and begin to change.  I am told that it takes about 30 days to change a habit before your heart yields to the change and the change becomes a part of you.  Same thing about thinking between the conscious mind and the heart or id or subconscious mind.  We use about 1/7 of our potential in everyday conscious thinking and 6/7 is who we really are.  I can say with my head, “ I Think it is going to rain.”  But then with the heart I leave the umbrella at home.  And the reverse is true as well.  And our Creator knows this that is why all of the valid changes that are mentioned in our Bible are (heart) decisions.  Rom. 10:9-10…  Do a study on heart with “Bible Gateway” you will be amazed as how important heart faith is.  Please do this, it could change your life.

I am told by Paul in Romans 8 that I am more than a conquer and that I can do all things (As guided by the Holy Spirit.) in Christ Jesus as my LORD,  Rom. 8.    Last night I woke up around 2 to go to the bathroom and got back to bed and started talking to DAD and in a little while I started to feel something strange settling over me, not uncomfortable but like a dark chill.  Out of my heart came, that’s not DAD!…  So I took my authority that I have by the Word of God as a blood washed son of GOD and rebuked it and it quickly left.  And I then drifted off to some good sleep knowing that my Heavenly Father was watching over me and I had nothing to fear.  And what a great feeling to know that my heart was tuned it to the truth as to what was going on.  I know that I am high up on the enemy hit list, but what do I care if God is with me?

And it is very true that when we really establish Christ Jesus as our True LORD in our heart that we become HIS and HIS foundation is set in our heart where it can not be removed except if we, because of sins lies,  change our mind and tell HIM to leave.  I became a Christian in 1955 with a heart understanding of this wonderful verse of scripture as found in 1 Cor. 3:9-15:

For we are fellow workmen (joint promoters, laborers together) with and for God; you are God’s [b] garden and vineyard and field under cultivation, [you are] God’s building.  10 According to the grace (the special endowment for my task) of God bestowed on me, like a skillful architect and master builder I laid [the] foundation, and now another [man] is building upon it. But let each [man] be careful how he builds upon it,  11 For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is [already] laid, which is Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).  12 But if anyone builds upon the Foundation, whether it be with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw,  13 The work of each [one] will become [plainly, openly] known (shown for what it is); for the day [of Christ] will disclose and declare it, because it will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test and critically appraise the character and worth of the work each person has done.  14 If the work which any person has built on this Foundation [any product of his efforts whatever] survives [this test], he will get his reward.  15 But if any person’s work is burned up [under the test], he will suffer the loss [of it all, losing his reward], though he himself will be saved, but only as [one who has passed] through fire.    1 Cor.3:9-16   https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1+Cor.3&version=AMPC

Don’t just read this, try to digest it…  Consider each thought, ingest, use several translations.
