RELIGIOUS SPIRIT 5/23/18

RELIGIOUS SPIRIT
A large number of folks no longer attend the big buildings on he corner that call themselves  THE CHURCH OF …………….”  Due to running on a religious spirit.   That spirit is judged in Rev. 17 & 18.

But then we don’t want to miss GOD’s HOLY SPIRIT and GOD’s TRUTH that gives us eternal joy and sets us free in Christ Jesus.   There is but one Church of Christ Jesus and all who love and obey HIM are members.

Not sure this article really covers this issue completely,  what do you think?   But it was interesting enough to send along for those who might be interested.    Love in Jesus    Ken <><

You Can Be Free From a Religious Spirit
10:00AM EDT 5/23/2018 J. Lee Grady

After Elisha watched Elijah ascend into heaven, the prophet went to the city of Jericho and performed his first miracle. The men of that city faced an environmental crisis: Their water was toxic, most likely because of the sulfur and other chemicals that had rained down upon nearby Sodom and Gomorrah years earlier. This poison had made the land barren (see 2 Kings 2:19-22) and it was affecting people and animals as well as plant life.

So Elisha performed a bold, prophetic act. He threw salt in the water and proclaimed: “Thus says the Lord, ‘I have purified these waters; there shall not be from there death or unfruitfulness any longer'” (v. 21, NASB). His proclamation brought immediate cleansing.

This obscure story in the Old Testament offers us a picture of the gospel’s power. The message of Jesus Christ heals us. The Holy Spirit brings life where death has reigned. He neutralizes the poisons that cause spiritual barrenness. He balances the pH level in our hearts and our churches so that spiritual growth and vitality is possible.

All of us would like to enjoy a healthy spiritual life. And we would love to see our churches thriving and growing. But the sad truth is that many of us are barren because of hazardous additives. We have embraced a gospel laced with legalism, performance-based religion and salvation by works—when Christ alone is our only source of life.

Jesus Himself referred to these toxins as “the leaven of the Pharisees” (Luke 12:1b). He told us that the Pharisees’ brand of religion, which looked good on the outside, was deadly—and contagious.  Have you been infected? You can take your own pH test by examining these eight characteristics of a religious spirit.

A religious spirit views God as a cold, harsh, distant taskmaster rather than an approachable, loving Father. When we base our relationship with God on our ability to perform spiritual duties, we deny the power of grace. God does not love us because we pray, read our Bibles, attend church or witness, yet millions of Christians think God is mad if they don’t perform these and other duties perfectly. As a result, they struggle to find true intimacy with Jesus.
A religious spirit places emphasis on doing outward things to show others that God accepts him. We deceive ourselves into believing that we can win God’s approval through a religious dress code, certain spiritual disciplines, particular music styles or even doctrinal positions.
A religious spirit develops traditions and formulas to accomplish spiritual goals. We trust in our liturgies,   denominational policies or man-made programs to obtain results that only God alone can give.
A religious spirit becomes joyless, cynical and hypercritical. This can turn a home or a church completely sour. Then, whenever genuine joy and love are expressed, this becomes a threat to those who have lost the simplicity of true faith.
A religious spirit becomes prideful and isolated, thinking that his righteousness is special and that he cannot associate with other believers who have different standards. Churches that allow these attitudes become elitist and dangerously vulnerable to deception or cult-like practices.
A religious spirit develops a harsh, judgmental attitude toward sinners, yet those who ingest this poison typically struggle with sinful habits that they cannot admit to anyone else. Religious people rarely interact with nonbelievers because they don’t want their own superior morals to be tainted by them.
A religious spirit rejects progressive revelation and refuses to embrace change. This is why many churches become irrelevant to society. They become so focused on what God did 50 years ago that they become stuck in a time warp and cannot move forward when the Holy Spirit begins to open new understanding. When religious groups refuse to shift with God’s new directives, they become “old wineskins,” and God must find more flexible vessels that are willing to implement change.
A religious spirit persecutes those who disagree with his self-righteous views and becomes angry whenever the message of grace threatens to undermine his religiosity. An angry religious person will use gossip and slander to assassinate other peoples’ character and may even use violence to prove his point. Jesus, in fact, warned His disciples: “There will even come a time when anyone who kills you will think he’s doing God a favor” (John 16:2b, MSG).

If the poison of religion has contaminated your walk with God, ask Him to pour a fresh understanding of His grace into your barren spirit—and then expect His new life to flow through you.

GIVING JOYFULLY

GIVING: JOYFULLY    “WORTH CONSIDERING”
3/7/19   (Across my desk from Joel, this morning.)

Today’s Scripture
“But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.”  (1 John 3:17–18, ESV)

Love Indeed
You are the hands and feet of Jesus in the earth. The Lord wants to bless you today so that you can be a blessing to others. He wants to work through you to show His love and compassion. Notice this verse tells us that love isn’t just about our words or thoughts, it’s about our actions. Love is about reaching out and meeting the needs of others. Sometimes meeting someone’s needs is as simple as a smile or sharing a word of encouragement. There are many ways to show the love of God. Can you pay for someone’s gas or groceries? Do you see a need in someone’s life that you can meet? Look for ways to put your love into action. The Bible says that it’s His kindness that leads people to repentance, and the Lord wants to show His kindness in the earth through you.

A Prayer for Today
“Heavenly Father, thank You for Your hand of blessing in my life. Thank You for choosing to work through me today. I submit myself and my resources to You. Show me ways to be a blessing to others so that the earth will be filled with the knowledge of Your glory. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

My Comments:
There are several issues here concerning giving that need our attention.   First,  Tithing is an Old Testament Principle and is not supported by the New Testament, at all.  The reason being that in the N.T. the Holy Spirit has moved the amount from 10% to 100% for Christians.  And has taken the issue of giving out of the LAW and placed it into being guided by the Holy Spirit in love and joy.

In 2 Cor.9:6-8 Paul writes this:   6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.  Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.   8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

So we are free to,  under the direction of the Holy Spirit,  walk in freedom and not feel obligated to try to fix every financial problem that we find around us.   We only need to do what really brings us joy in doing in our own heart.   If you try to help someone going through the sowing and reaping process of making bad choices it would be a waste of time and money.  And I deeply detest it when someone tries to put me under a guilt trip to squeeze some money out of me because of their bad decisions or lack of humility in getting a job,  any job.   In fact the N.T. scriptures are very clear here:

2 Thess. 3:10:   For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.  1 Tim. 5:8:  But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.

So no one is under the LAW to have to give.  We are to be guided by the Holy Spirit to give of our time and money as it gives us joy in doing so.  It is a joy for me to publish “WORTH CONSIDERING” even though I rarely receive any comments.
Yours, in HIS great love and wonderful grace and mercy,   Ken<><

DEBT

ALOHA FAMILY AND FRIENDS,  Beloved in the LORD.

DEBT     “WORTH CONSIDERING”
3/7/19     (Across my desk this morning.)

Folks saddled with this debt have purposefully handed over their Liberty. They traded it so they could get something shiny and new.  And now if their master closes his door… if their job goes away… they’ve got nothing left.  But here’s the one key difference between this situation and the plague that spread across our nation 150 years ago – it’s where free-thinking folks will poke us in the chest and tell us we’re wrong.      Your Credit Score is important.

This form of slavery is entirely optional.
The bank man isn’t coming to vulnerable neighborhoods and gathering folks up at gunpoint – although we know a few salesmen who would love the option.  No, this servitude is entirely derived by the enslaved.  It’s 100% avoidable.  The Only (and Easy) Way Out  It’s been a while since we wrote about our “broken bowl” theory. But with the latest headlines telling us that Americans are now sitting on more debt than we did prior to the 2008 disaster, it’s quite clear we’ve got work to do.

We need to spread our message.
We’re flat-out convinced that if you follow this simple strategy, your wealth will increase and you’ll quickly be on your way to true financial freedom.  As many of our oh-so-wise musings about money do… this one starts during our time in Alaska’s wilderness.  We were newlyweds, and we decided to go camping at one of our favorite lakes along the rugged Canadian border.  We invited a friend named Kenny.  He was a young, hungry kid from Southern California who didn’t get out all that much.  We figured nearly a week without modern influences would do him some good.  For a few short hours at the start of our trip, though, we thought he was going to get us killed.  Fortunately for us, he then did something dumb… something that sparked our powerful way of thinking.

You see, camping in the Alaskan wilderness isn’t like camping in the lower 48.  Once we waved goodbye to the bush pilot who flew us to the lake, we were on our own. No phone. No radio. Just the three of us and a campfire. The nearest person was more than 25 miles away. But it didn’t matter. We couldn’t get there if we wanted to… the nearest road was more than 70 miles south.

We were on our own. And Kenny forgot about that.  Almost as soon as the plane disappeared over the mountaintop and the roar of its engine faded to silence, Kenny attacked his food ration for the week.  By the time we realized what was going on and stopped him, he’d already eaten two days’ worth of food.  We were in trouble.  But then something incredible happened.  He dropped his bowl – his one and only bowl.  It shattered.  All that was usable was a piece about a third of the size of its previous shape.  Need Less… Spend Less

At first, Kenny was distraught. Like most 18-year-olds, he quickly got hungry and grouchy.  But as the sun burned through the  fog on our second day, his mood started to change. He was eating only as much as his bowl would hold… a third of what he was eating the day before.  But he was happy with it.  He quickly got used to it.  It’s a powerful lesson for anybody working to break the bonds of modern slavery.  We’re convinced it’s the only way to build real, liberating wealth.   Happiness does not come with an interest rate.  Freedom can’t be found at the bottom of a credit card statement.  It’s just the opposite.  That statement that comes in the mail once each month represents what you owe to your master. It shows how much you must work before you’ll be set free.  The only way out, we’re convinced, is to break your bowl.  Don’t fall into the cultural trap that convinces us that more stuff equals more happiness.  It’s 100% a lie.  Instead, we beg you to break your bowl in half. Fill it up with only what you need. It’s far less than you think.  Save the rest for another day.  It’s the only way to be truly free.  Millions of Americans are enslaved by their choices… and most have no idea how tight the shackles have become.  They’re not going to like their future – especially when their master wants his money.  Be well,  Andy

My Comment:
It is very important to learn to live without paying interest.   I quit paying interest in 1968.    And as I have learned to live without owing my soul to the company store it has given me a lot more freedom.  Both Debt and Socialism are forms of slavery and to be avoided.    It was tough at times but the Holy Spirit has been a really great teacher as I took this Bible verse seriously  (I don’t even have a credit score any more) :   Yours, in HIS great love,   Ken<><   (Previous “Worth Considerings” are now available at www.Trinity-Aloha.org )

SLEEP 3/6/19

ALOHA FAMILY AND FRIENDS,  Beloved of God.

SLEEP     “WORTH CONSIDERING”   3/6/19   (Across my desk this morning from Joel.)

Today’s Scripture
“..for he grants sleep to those he loves.”   (Psalm 127:2, NIV)

Blessings in Sleep
The Lord longs to pour out blessings on you constantly—even when you sleep! Understand that God has His hand on your life even in the midnight hour. He wants to speak to your heart and restore your dreams. He is taking care of those things that concern you. When you cast your cares on Him and trust Him to work out every detail of your life, you’ll be able to enjoy that sweet sleep that He has promised. Make the decision today to enjoy the blessing of the Lord as you sleep tonight. Say a prayer before you go to bed and cast your cares on Him. As you allow the Lord to bless and refresh you in sleep, you’ll see a tremendous change in your waking hours. You’ll be more invigorated, more alert, and full of the blessing of the Lord in every area of your life!

A Prayer for Today
“Heavenly Father, thank You for Your promise of blessing. I ask that You teach me to receive that blessing even while I sleep. I cast my cares on You and trust that You are working behind the scenes in my life. Thank You for watching over me and protecting me. Thank You for refreshing me as I sleep tonight. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.”

My Comments:
Sleep in the O.T. and new is often seen as being parallel to the soul in waiting for the judgment and a new body on the other side of the door in the Kingdom of God.   It is also associated with not being saved as in Rom. 13:11 or in being disconnected.   In 1 Cor. 11:30 it is associated with God’s Judgment in the Church.  And in 1 Cor.15:51 it is associated with the Rapture of HIS Church or the “Snatching away of those in Christ who are still alive at HIS coming.  (I rather like that idea,  hope I am still here for it.)

So the use of sleep as a metaphor in Holy Scripture is profound and a really great study.

But as to nightly sleep, simple, being in a state of peace with GOD and all others does seriously help.
I also find that making a list of what I need to do for the next day on paper, puts those concerns to rest.   Also spending time with the Holy Spirit in taking inventory of the day or the past and asking forgiveness for those times when I have had my hand in the cookie jar does help put that to rest.
So with pen and paper next to your bed,  you get a “got to do” thought, write it down.  Some peaceful music prior to bed is a good idea.  And I like a cup of hot milk chocolate once in a while.

Of course as you get older the plumbing takes extra care and this and that makes for extra considerations but take the time to be prepared.   At my age I need to think more ahead.  But sleep can be a precious time of renewal as we consider the prophesy of Joel 2:28  (Acts 2:27)     And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

What the LORD started at Pentecost in sending the Holy Spirit is not over.  So be open to the Holy Spirit sharing with you in your dreams.  If HE has a clean chalk board to write on, He may surprise you.

Yours in HIS great love and wonderful grace and mercy,   Ken<><   www.Trinity-Aloha.org   (Past “Worth Considerings” are now available in our Web Links.)

2019 Prophesy

ALOHA FAMILY AND FRIENDS,   Beloved of GOD…

2019 Prophesy:    “WORTH CONSIDERING”    3/5/19

Dutch Sheets:  Prophetic:    “A Great Shift Is Upon Us That Will Continue Through 2019
8:00AM EST 2/1/2019 Dutch Sheets

We are entering an hour of history where the church must make itself ready. We are now warring for the eternal destinies of millions and the destiny of our nation. Something must happen to awaken the conscience of this nation and turn the thoughts of people back to God. A revival of monumental proportions is the only hope we have to see the hearts and minds of multiplied millions turn to God. If it is the only hope—then with God, it is inevitable. A Third Great Awakening is upon us. God is allowing things to boil, bringing things to the surface so that He can deal with them. The question is not, “Will revival come to America?” We will get a revival. We will get a Third Great Awakening. The question is, “What is the church going to do with that?” A Great Awakening will require us to be stretched in our thinking, to discard “doctrine” that has fallacies. It will require a shift in how we teach and disciple. It will require a shift from a self-centered gospel to a kingdom-centered gospel. I am filled with hope! A great shift is upon us and will continue throughout 2019. What a privilege to be part of what God is doing in this hour.

“Therefore repent and be converted, that your sins may be wiped away, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that He may send the One who previously was preached to you, Jesus Christ, whom the heavens must receive until the time of restoring what God spoke through all His holy prophets since the world began” (Acts 3:19-21).
—————————————————————————————————————————————–
My comments:
This also includes repenting from dead traditions of how we think of “church.”   What we mostly have today is a Religious Theater.   The Early Church was a Spiritual Interactive Forum where the Fruit, Gifts and Ministries of the Holy Spirit could flow freely.  HIS CHURCH was a holy space secured by servant Elders who were guided by the Holy Spirit.  They did not allow the enemy counterfeits to confuse the Saints of God.  But it was a free for all to get involved and to be encouraged and grow.  And in that matrix many were saved, healed and set free and supporting to learn how to do the same in another location and “House Church Gathering.”   It was both Dangerous and Immensely Loving in the Holy Spirit and Powerful.  The church today has mostly grieved the Holy Spirit so much that HE rarely shows up in most church gatherings.  When HE does show up there is power,  that is one of HIS names.   Paul teaches in 2 Tim. 3:5, “… if no power, go somewhere else.”

In describing the power of the Holy Spirit, the Bible paints quite a different picture (see Luke 24:49Acts 1:82 Corinthians 12:9). The word translated as “power” in the English Bible is the Greek word dynamis, from which we get the word dynamite. In Acts 1:8, Jesus told His disciples that before they would be able to evangelize the world, they must receive the dynamis of the Holy Spirit.

Image of God

ALOHA FAMILY AND FRIENDS,  Beloved of GOD

IMAGE OF GOD:    “WORTH CONSIDERING”    3/5/19  (Across my desk this morning.)

Today’s Scripture
“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”  (Romans 10:17, NKJV)

Faith Comes By Hearing
Do you want more faith? Well, the good news is that your faith in God can grow and increase. Notice the Scripture doesn’t say, “Faith comes by having heard the Word of God one time.” It’s hearing—in the present tense. Sure, God’s Word can transform us in an instant, but most of the time, we need to hear God’s principles over and over again before they become active in our lives. The truth of God’s Word chisels away at the doubt and unbelief that’s been built up over the years. Just as a seed needs water daily to grow, your spirit needs the Word of God daily. Get in the habit of meditating on God’s Word and dwelling on thoughts of faith, victory and hope. The more you fill your heart and mind with God’s Word, the stronger you will be so you can stand against the powers of darkness.

A Prayer for Today
“Father in Heaven, thank you for Word that is living and active and growing in my life. I submit myself to you today and ask you to teach me your ways. Give me insight into your Word so that I may know you. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.”

My Comments:
In Isaiah 28,  The great prophet Isaiah wrote:  “  Whom shall HE teach knowledge? and whom shall HE make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.  10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little….  David wrote in Psalm 119:    Thou hast commanded us to keep thy precepts diligently.   5 O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes!   6 Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments.   7 I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments.I will keep thy statutes: O forsake me not utterly. Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.  10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.  11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.   And Jesus said in John 14:21   “He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.”  And John 15:10  If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.”

Matthew records in 22:37-41:  “37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.  38 This is the first and great commandment.  39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.   40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

It is interesting to me that Christ Jesus said these were the Great Commandments that overshadowed all the other commandments. So specifically what are HIS detailed Commandments.  This is up for you to search the scriptures in context and find out.  Jesus was a living example of keeping those commandments and so John records in 1 John 4:17 these words:  17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

So as the Creator’s vision for us is for us to become in the “IMAGE” of Christ Jesus I have attached a study as to the Character of Christ Jesus for your consideration.  This is what our Creator wants you to OK, in becoming like,  in your lifetime,  with HIS help.

Yours, in HIS great love and wonderful grace and mercy,   Ken<><   www.Trinity-Aloha.org   (Previous “Worth Considerings” now available.)

Refreshing

ALOHA FAMILY AND FRIENDS,  Beloved of God.

REFRESHING       “WORTH CONSIDERING”      3/4/19    (Across my desk this morning.)

Today’s Scripture
“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavily burdened [by religious rituals that provide no peace], and I will give you rest [refreshing your souls with salvation].”   (Matthew 11:28, AMP)

Come to the Father
Does your soul need refreshing today? God is constantly inviting us to step away from the hectic pace of life and come to Him to find rest for our souls. Are you facing challenges in your relationships? Finances? Career? God wants to refresh you. He wants to give you rest. Think about that for a moment. What would cause you to rest? If you knew everything was going to work out for your good, you would stop worrying. You would rest! Even if things don’t work out the way you planned or on your timetable, you can trust that God will turn things around in your favor. Today, make it a point to be still before God. Quiet your mind of all the things on your agenda and just focus on Him. Let Him love you, let Him speak to your heart, and let Him fill you with peace and strength each and every day
.
A Prayer for Today
“Father, I come to You now and give You my cares and burdens. I thank You for working behind the scenes on my behalf. Thank You for loving me and setting me free. Thank You for giving me rest for my soul and peace in my heart today in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

My Comments:
I like old movies where the good guys win and the bad guys loose,  the struggle of good and evil.   And it use to be that as a kid for 25 cents I could go watch a double feature, newsreel and cartoon for 10 cents, have popcorn for 5 cents and and a big ball of vanilla ice cream dipped in chocolate after the show for anther dime.   And on a Saturday you could stay as long as you wanted to.   So my head would be full of Captain Marvel,  Superman,  Buck Rogers,  Roy Rogers, The Lone Ranger,  Jack Armstrong and such for the rest of the week.  Almost jumped off the roof of the Chicken house trying to say Shazam and turn into Captain Marvel but my family got in the way.

Now we can turn on the computer hit Amazon prime video or?,   and have a study diet of what ever for practically nothing.   I was watching something last night where it was hard to tell if there were really any good guys?   And got bored and feel asleep.   Woke later and turned things off and turned in.   It was a crazy dream night,  slight car wreck, lost wallet, wallet found empty,  money gone but not gone,  something evil in the air but not really knowing what it was?  Women helping me from banks and then wanting to be paid hundreds of dollars for their time when they were already working for the bank… Every where I went and stopped a bunch of white powder would fall off me and make a mess,  and so on.  Not looking for any interpretations,  Know it is just a junk pile from Amazon.

So I woke up this morning and talked to the LORD  (Holy Spirit) about it.   And with a rather humorous reply the Holy Spirit laughingly said,  ” What do you expect,  Junk in,  Junk out.  Like your body what you feed on is what you will become.  You want to be a man of God, then feed on the WORD of GOD and that is what will happen.”   You know, you can know something.  But then you can have that knowledge go to a deeper level to where it changes your actions.  James writes that is what real faith is.    So I am headed into getting out the old 70’s worship CD’s which have a lot of Truth in them and the Alexander Scorby New Testament and setting up a worship center where I can be saturated with the WORD of GOD before I go to sleep at night.   I do want to have the presence of GOD in my home,  and it is totally up to me.

Church

ALOHA FAMILY AND FRIENDS,   Beloved of God,

CHURCH    “WORTH  CONSIDERING”
      3/3/19

It is amazing to me the number of divisions or denominations that we find today all saying they are on the right path or church but teaching different doctrine?  Obviously there are essentials of doctrine as was once delivered by the LORD, Christ Jesus and HIS Apostles to consider.   And yes there are many choices to make beyond the tenants of HOLY SCRIPTURE.   The Early Church had a saying:
“In essentials, UNITY,  in all else, LOVE.”  I really like this except who defines what is essential?

In John 17, the only recorded prayer of Christ Jesus, HIS main concern was that HIS CHURCH,  (HIS PEOPLE) would find UNITY.   So how do we come into that kind of Unity that He prayed for?   First off it take a lot of humility to listen carefully to the other position and then second it take truth and obedience to change a position.   One time, with me, the change was so heavy that it felt like my head was going through a hard drive crash.  And the change, changed everything that I thought I knew.  But it set me free in such a wonderful way after it was all over.  Felt like a new kid starting over.

So it all really boils down to simple and in humility accepting GOD’s HOLY TRUTH in obedience when ever you find it.   Being locked up in any denomination can be very boring and destructive for your Christian life.   In one denomination I sat through 5 years of evangelical sermons on how to be saved while I was dying of spiritual starvation.  I have found that it is imperative to know Holy Scripture personally in context and from an overview.  All of the vitamins and minerals are not in one bottle.

Christian Ideal for Unity:    For each party in a different position to realize that, “Wow! here is a wonderful opportunity to explore more of GOD’s TRUTH in love and to find more FREEDOM in Christ Jesus.  And for each soul in LOVE to present their position from a Biblical position without treat or manipulation and put all the scriptures on the table and move them around until the TRUTH comes to the surface in the Holy Spirit.  Isaiah 28:5-13 is a key for doing this.   It is only the LORD’s TRUTH that sets us free anyway.   To agree to disagree will never answer the LORD’s prayer in John 17.

The Early Church was a landscape covered by small house church where the shepherd could know and be known of his flock.  They would gather on Saturday evenings at sunset for sharing the WORD OF GOD,  having a meal together where they also observed the “Lord’s Supper”,  Pray together,  Pray for each other and finally would go to the Elders for prayer and anointing if needed.  In the Early Church it records in Acts 5:16 that at these healthy spiritual gatherings that all would be healed.  I have yet to see this in my Christian Experience.  An analogy would be that souls are like batteries.  Then can hold different charges for different purposes.  When fully charged, they work well.  But if you really want to run something powerful you need to connect them together.   lucifer know this and that is why there is such a powerful effort to destroy the UNITY that Christ Jesus prayed for in John 17.

The Elders and leaders would gather together each week to keep the Unity of the Faith in the bond of peace.

The Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists and Teachers were available as needed at larger gatherings of the house churches as it would be helpful to expand the ministry of Christ Jesus to the world.

But at this time, in reality,  it is difficult to find an example of the hot fire that forged Stephen and converted Saul into Paul.  It seems many have swallowed the concept that bigger is better and the Holy Spirit really, does not do the supernatural any more.   So my thoughts are that we are experiencing a very cold and very wet rain.   1st thing we need to do is find a dry space.  A living room holding 12 + people would be great.  2nd to start inviting the spiritually hungry over for some fellowship and food (finding some dry wood)   Then a little tender and help from the Holy Spirit and a spark with lots of smoke.  But little by little the fire gits hotter,  folks get warm and dry and the Holy Spirit begins to answer in power.   I would be happy to help if anyone is interested.  Also you can find my notes at:   www.Trinity-Aloha.org  when you goto:   “Keys To The Kingdom.”    THERE IS BUT ONE TRUE CHURCH OF CHRIST JESUS AND ALL WHO LOVE AND OBEY HIM ARE MEMBERS.

Numbers 14:21-24 but truly, as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the Lord– because all these men who have seen My glory and the signs which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have put Me to the test now these ten times, and have not heeded My voice, they certainly shall not see the land of which I swore to their fathers, nor shall any of those who rejected Me see it. But My servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit in him and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land where he went, and his descendants shall inherit it.

In this NT passage Paul distinguishes the multitudes of Israelites who never entered the Promised Land, in that they never apprehended the destiny which God intended for them, but, instead, perished in the wilderness. The only adults that entered the Promised Land were Joshua and Caleb. What distinguished Joshua and Caleb? A “different spirit”.

It is astounding to realize that so many failed to apprehend this spirit, and Paul makes it clear that this example has the most serious implications for New Testament believers. The spirit of whole-hearted commitment, apparently rare as the finest rubies, receives the inheritance, the rich rewards of the “Promised Land”. What this “Promised Land” may be for those who are as faithful in the present age, we may wonder. But be assured it will flow with “Milk and Honey” just as the Land of Israel did in those ancient days, (and is again experiencing today!) Following God “with all that we had” will qualify us for the greatest eternal rewards.

The great test for Joshua and Caleb involved the godly courage to face massive giants in battle. They had learned and believed in the miraculous power of God to deliver, protect, and provide for His chosen. And Caleb, because of his great faith, was able to maintain his youthfulness even at the age of 85. (Joshua 14:10-12)

FOUNDATIONS       “WORTH CONSIDERING”      3/1/19   (In my mail box this morning.)

Today’s Scripture
“…I will not forget you. I have swept away your sins like a cloud. I have scattered your offenses like the morning mist…”   (Isaiah 44:21–22, NLT)

God Rescues You for Glory!
Down here in Texas, clouds don’t linger. They’re swept away by winds from the north or fresh breezes from the Gulf. That’s what God says about your sins, weaknesses and shortcomings—they’re swept away before you know it. God is a loving, forgiving, redeeming, life-changing God. So start agreeing with God and change the image you have of yourself. Instead of telling God what you can’t do, agree with what He says you can do! You can turn your entire life around if you look at yourself the way that God sees you and agree with His purpose. God is with you, so be fearless and victorious each day. Gideon, the great hero of the Bible, thought of himself as weak, but God called him a “mighty man of fearless courage.” The Bible says, “If you believe, all things are possible.” Get God’s vision of victory for your life. See yourself as the champion God created you to be—strong, courageous and successful!

A Prayer for Today
“God, thank You for seeing me as victorious and useful. Help me to stand under Your ideas and fulfill what You have for me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.”

My Comments:
That my past is hidden in Christ Jesus and my sins (which are many) have been forgiven is such a good feeling.   By Faith in Christ Jesus, every day is a brand new beginning.   Like the Word of God states, “If any man be in Christ, he is a new creation,  old things are passed away and behold all things become new.   In the Old Testament the prophetic symbol of this was the Ark of the Covenant in the Holy of Holies where the Chief Priest would offer the blood of a spotless lamb for his sins and the sins of the people of Israel.  This was done by God, one time for the sin of the whole world and become effective when received by faith in making Christ Jesus both LORD and SAVIOR.   Hebrews 7:27
Ark of the Testimony
It is an amazing concept.   Our Creator want’s to create a family in HIS own image and likeness but this could be very dangerous.   In sharing that kind of power it could become a great universal mess.   Look what happened on a lower level to the angels with free will.  So how to create a family where freewill and love exists without messing up the universe.  So why not use the fallen angels in a time dimension to set up a physical gymnasium where testing can be done as to those who will be obedient and those who will not.  A time of testing for those who will move in faith and love and create in the positive and those who are destructive to also be known.   And it must be from a freewill choice and not manufactured for love to be valid.

So the rest of the creative story you know already.  And you and I are going through our daily events to test our determination to be constructive or destructive.   To love the light or to love the darkness?  To walk in humility and obedience or not?  To make self King or to make Christ Jesus King?  And we have a whole life time in which to decide but where we end up at our death is final.  Those who decide early for the TRUTH of GOD in faith have more time to secure rewards for their invested time in HIS KINGDOM.  Ultimately what counts is the foundation of faith as in 1 Cor.3:10-15.

1 Corinthians 3:10-15 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)     ( Isaiah 28 as well )

10 According to the grace (the special endowment for my task) of God bestowed on me, like a skillful architect and master builder I laid [the] foundation, and now another [man] is building upon it. But let each [man] be careful how he builds upon it,

11 For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is [already] laid, which is Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

12 But if anyone builds upon the Foundation, whether it be with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw,

13 The work of each [one] will become [plainly, openly] known (shown for what it is); for the day [of Christ] will disclose and declare it, because it will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test and critically appraise the character and worth of the work each person has done.

14 If the work which any person has built on this Foundation [any product of his efforts whatever] survives [this test], he will get his reward.

15 But if any person’s work is burned up [under the test], he will suffer the loss [of it all, losing his reward], though he himself will be saved, but only as [one who has passed] through fire.

This section of scripture got me into HIS KINGDOM on 4/28/55….  I finally saw how that faith was the point of entry and not works.

CONQUER  (VICTORY)   “WORTH CONSIDERING”     2/28/1(across my desk.)

Today’s Scripture
“Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”    (Matthew 19:26, NIV)

You Are A Champion!
Conquerors don’t give up when they lose ground. They march forward with confidence knowing that they will claim victory. It should be the same with us in our daily lives. The Bible says you don’t have to worry—you are an overcomer in Christ! When worry comes against us, we can choose not to dwell on those negative thoughts. Like changing TV channels, you can change the channel in your mind from thoughts of defeat to thoughts of victory. Instead of dreading what could go wrong, meditate on God’s promises. Declare His word, “I am more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus.” The Holy Spirit lives in you and is fighting your spiritual battles for you. As soon as you pray, the tide of the battle begins to turn! That’s why the Scriptures say over and over again that you can overcome anything. You can claim victory through Him today!

A Prayer for Today
“God, thank You for Your Holy Spirit, who is fighting my battles for me. Give me the faith to hold on to Your promises and claim victory in Your Name. Instead of worrying, I will be calm and victorious in You!”

My Comments:
When I was in College most of my grades were just average but there was a few spikes where I was really interested.  One P.E. (Required) option was fencing with a foil and I really got into that class.  At fist it was to practice piercing an assigned hole in a chain link fence to put the button on the end of my foil in the same place after a running jump at it.  Awhile at that and then on to vest and mask and working out with a partner.  Once in a while the teacher would come by and make total fools out of us and show us the right moves.  Sure glade it was just a class.  But she also had one young man in the class that was a Hollywood fencing stand in and extra.  He had very long arms and would make her look really bad when he could.  He never fenced with me as I was a 1st semester student peon.  But I enjoyed the exercise and the teacher allowed me to stay for the next class and the next.  And it got so that I would practice fencing for 4 hours a day.   I really enjoyed the sport.

End of semester, time for the finals and the teacher pared me off with the Hollywood guy and I cleaned his plow and I received an A+ for the  1 credit coarse.   And I dearly look back to the victory and the day that I became my little teachers champion.   What it taught me that Interest and commitment are also basics to Victory.  So If I want to be victorious in my spiritual life I need to spend time leaning to hit the little hole in the fence before going into a real battle.  Life is not about the STUFF,  it is about knowing the WORD of GOD and becoming victorious over sin.  In the greatest temptations of Christ Jesus HE used HIS memorized words from Moses to become a Champion and be Victorious.  Now we also have the words of Christ Jesus and HIS Apostles to learn as to how to become a Champion.  VICTORY always feels so good,  Romans 8,  Hebrews 11 is a good starting place to learn how.   Yours  in His Great love and wonderful grace and mercy,   Ken<><
