ALOHA FAMILY AND FRIENDS,  Beloved of GOD

IMAGE OF GOD:    “WORTH CONSIDERING”    3/5/19  (Across my desk this morning.)

Today’s Scripture
“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”  (Romans 10:17, NKJV)

Faith Comes By Hearing
Do you want more faith? Well, the good news is that your faith in God can grow and increase. Notice the Scripture doesn’t say, “Faith comes by having heard the Word of God one time.” It’s hearing—in the present tense. Sure, God’s Word can transform us in an instant, but most of the time, we need to hear God’s principles over and over again before they become active in our lives. The truth of God’s Word chisels away at the doubt and unbelief that’s been built up over the years. Just as a seed needs water daily to grow, your spirit needs the Word of God daily. Get in the habit of meditating on God’s Word and dwelling on thoughts of faith, victory and hope. The more you fill your heart and mind with God’s Word, the stronger you will be so you can stand against the powers of darkness.

A Prayer for Today
“Father in Heaven, thank you for Word that is living and active and growing in my life. I submit myself to you today and ask you to teach me your ways. Give me insight into your Word so that I may know you. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.”

My Comments:
In Isaiah 28,  The great prophet Isaiah wrote:  “  Whom shall HE teach knowledge? and whom shall HE make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.  10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little….  David wrote in Psalm 119:    Thou hast commanded us to keep thy precepts diligently.   5 O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes!   6 Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments.   7 I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments.I will keep thy statutes: O forsake me not utterly. Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.  10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.  11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.   And Jesus said in John 14:21   “He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.”  And John 15:10  If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.”

Matthew records in 22:37-41:  “37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.  38 This is the first and great commandment.  39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.   40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

It is interesting to me that Christ Jesus said these were the Great Commandments that overshadowed all the other commandments. So specifically what are HIS detailed Commandments.  This is up for you to search the scriptures in context and find out.  Jesus was a living example of keeping those commandments and so John records in 1 John 4:17 these words:  17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

So as the Creator’s vision for us is for us to become in the “IMAGE” of Christ Jesus I have attached a study as to the Character of Christ Jesus for your consideration.  This is what our Creator wants you to OK, in becoming like,  in your lifetime,  with HIS help.

Yours, in HIS great love and wonderful grace and mercy,   Ken<><   www.Trinity-Aloha.org   (Previous “Worth Considerings” now available.)
