FREEDOM FROM SIN

ALOHA SAINTS, FAMILY & FRIENDS, Beloved of God, John 3:16

FREEDOM FROM SIN, “WORTH CONSIDERING” 10/29/20 From Ken Smith

Today’s Scripture (Across my desk this morning from a church in Texas.)
Give us gladness in proportion to our former misery! Replace the evil years with good. Let us see your miracles again; let our children see glorious things. (Psalm 90:15–16, TLB)

Glorious Things
Psalm 90 is a prayer of Moses. Perhaps you can identify with his request in today’s Scripture. He was saying, “God, I’m having a tough time. I’ve had some bad breaks, but I’m asking for Your restored blessing.” When you face difficulties, do as Moses did and pray, “God, strengthen me again, heal me again, and show me Your favor again.”

Your situation may not look good. You may be facing something at your business, in a relationship, or have a health issue that you don’t think could ever work out. But God didn’t bring you this far to leave you. He can turn things around, bring a breakthrough, restore your health and happiness, and cause your business to take off. Rise up in faith and say, “God, I’m not going to give up. I’m believing to see glorious things, miracles again, the dream come to pass, the problem resolved. I know that You always finish what You start.”

A Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You for being the God of miracles who does glorious things. Thank You for the assurance that the work You’ve started to do in my life will be brought to completion. I declare that I will not give up my trust in what You can do. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Comments:
There is the requirement of REPENTANCE that is missing from the above. If we really want God to Bless and Support us in our life it will come through faith in HIS promises that is strong enough to make us want to change (repent) and to become like HIM. And it is different for different grade levels. What you could get away with in the 1st Grade will not fly in the 5th Grade and so on. As we change to become in the image and likeness of Christ Jesus there is also a maturing process so that the giants that we have to slaughter may even get even bigger. We find that our Creator has restrained the more difficult changes that we need to experience until we have the faith and wisdom to have the victory over them. We tend to think of ourselves as a one room log cabin but in reality every cell of our body is a complete living entity and can be host a negative squatter. Biologically we have a clean up crew carrying out the trash 24/7 and when healthy, we are healthy. Spiritually it is about the same. The demonized man had thousands of demons invading his body/house. And Jesus took authority over them and expelled them. Even after you become a Christian you can some times need a deliverance. There are three levels of demonic attack. Oppression (from the outside) Obsession (from the mind) Possession (from the heart)

With Oppression, it is a feeling of depression, lust, greed, anger, perhaps a headache or ringing in the ears, a negative feeling of one kind or another. Like a thief trying to find an unlocked door. And it is easy to get ride of it by simple, and in faith, strongly command it to leave in Jesus Name!!!! But you can not fix what you don’t know is broken and have the tools to fix it with. With out faith it is impossible to get the victory. Faith come by knowing the Word of God as Jesus did.

With Obsession it is like when someone flips a switch and out comes the very strong even violent rage or attitude about something of one kind and another. My stepfather hated Ma Bell Telephone Co. So to avoid his 30 min recorded rampage, we would use the pay phone at the corner so we would not get sliced and diced about Ma Bell. Totally a waste of time for all concerned. It can be an emotional negative obsession about anything including people. But the people who need to be set free do not even realize what is happening for that time period and when over go back to being normal. It is like a trip wire that goes into insanity and then it is over. So you find the trip wire, remove it in Jesus name and securely lock that door with forgiveness or restitution or what ever needed and it will be gone.

With Possession the demons can take over for sometimes long periods of time. With the ones Jesus dealt with the man was lucid for when Jesus came by and ran to HIM for freedom. (Perhaps the demons went into hiding.) But then the demons were exposed and took over and accused Jesus of Sin which went nowhere. And Jesus simply commanded them to leave which they had to do. In my experience when there is the power of unity and truth is solid faith with a group of believers then the darkness can not abide the light and exposes itself and the Church can gather around and facilitate a deliverance just as Jesus did. Been through this a number of times and the person delivered is always so very happy to be free and to be able to be filled with the Holy Spirit. So if you feel demonized then find a church full of faith and power and sit on the front row. It will be difficult to do, but on the other side is true freedom. Your Heavenly Father loves you and want’s you to be totally free.

REALITY CHECK “WORTH CONSIDERING” 10/29/20 From Ken Smith, Kona

Today’s Scripture (Across my desk this morning from a church in Texas.)
And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. (Romans 13:11, NKJV)

High Time
When God first put that dream or promise in your heart, you were excited; you told people what you were going to do. But now it’s been months, maybe years, and things haven’t turned out like you planned. Today’s Scripture says you are closer now to seeing it come to pass than you’ve ever been. You’re coming into a high time. High time is when things suddenly change in your favor, when blessings chase you down. High time is when your healing shows up, you break the addiction, you meet the right person. God makes things happen that you could never make happen.

If you’re going to see this high time, you have to wake up out of your sleep. That means to get your passion back. Start believing again, start expecting things to change, start talking like it’s going to happen. You can’t be complacent and step into the fullness of what God has in store. My question is, are you awake?

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for the call to wake up, to get my hopes up, to start expecting things to change. Thank You that I’m closer to going to the next level, to seeing explosive blessings than I’ve ever been. I believe that I’m about to see this high time. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Comments:
Actually, seems to me, that Apostle Paul is seeking to wake up the Roman Christians that the day of their graduation is getting closer day by day. That they should wake up to the need to get out of their comfort zone and get to work serving the Lord and His coming Kingdom. To realize that the testing time on earth is very precious potentially for our spiritual growth and development. And that what we do on earth for HIS Kingdom will have eternal benefits as done for Christ Jesus and out of love for HIM. I use the following tract a lot to help remind people that we are really just pilgrims that are passing through this very unique dimension of time to decide how to use our freewill profitably.

Let There Be Light
And God said, let there be light and there was light: (1). Arise, shine: for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee (2). Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead and Christ shall give thee light (3). This is the message which we have heard and declare unto you, that God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all (4). He that doeth the truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God (5). If we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin (6). This is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil (7). For everyone that doeth evil hateth the light neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved (8). But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light (9). Thy Light shall break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the Lord shall be thy reward (10). Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. (11). The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light (12). The city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the Light thereof (13). And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever (14).

LORD’S DAY

ALOHA SAINT, FAMILY & FRIENDS, Beloved of God and me, John 3:16

LORD’S DAY “WORTH CONSIDERING” 10/27/10 From Ken Smith<><

Today’s Scripture
This is the day the LORD has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it. (Psalm 118:24, NLT)

Be Your Best Today
When we read about the heroes of faith, their lives seem so exciting, but the truth is that most of their days were routine. Moses experienced one miracle after another, but those involved only a few days of his life. Most of our days will be ordinary days with some exciting days. If you live from big event to big event, waiting for something exciting to keep you encouraged, you’re going to be disappointed. Learn to enjoy where God has you right now. This is the day the Lord has made. It may be routine, but when you do the ordinary with a good attitude, that’s getting you prepared for the new things God has in store. It’s being faithful day in and day out, doing the right thing when the wrong thing is happening, staying in faith when we’re not getting our way. You won’t be promoted if you’re not being your best where God has you right now.

A Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You for this day that You have made. Thank You that I can be faithful in the ordinary and routine, knowing that You are preparing me for the new things You have in store. I’m going to keep being my best, serving, giving, and loving right where I am. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Comments:
Each morning I wake up to a new day. A BIG GIFT OF ANOTHER DAY. As my age truly a gift of HIS grace. First I am thankful that I can be forgiven of all of my yesterdays as I check in with the Holy Spirit and view them objectively as God see them and come to true repentance. Second, I don’t have to be concerned about tomorrow as God has instructed me to concentrate only upon today. Yes, I do have a desk Calendar to mark off what is scheduled for me to do tomorrow. But then I can forget it and not be concerned about missing the date tomorrow. Third, is the fun part in seeking the Holy Spirit in sharing with me what HE has in mind for my day, today.

So now I have the day in front of me and am sitting at my desk writing to you. I have had a nice breakfast, So a little into a Sr. nap (food coma) but feel your need for some encouragement. You see, life is a paradox. You have to give it away in order to save it. You have to go down in humility to be lifted up in God’s Glory. What you plant is what you harvest. With out faith it is impossible to please God. Faith is the substance and the evidence of things hoped for and not yet see. We are somewhat like batteries, we have a certain charge but in time it dissipates on it’s own and does nothing unless installed in something productive. And even then if installed backwards it will short out what ever, even if the other batteries are correctly installed. But when charged individually and placed in series or parallel they can be a mighty source of power for the Kingdom of God.. John 17:20-22 All power in heaven and earth was given to Jesus and then given to HIS Church. Not individually but collectively. In other words, It only works out of True Unity in Love. You can not expect the car to run right without all of the needed parts put together in the right order. There is but one church of Christ Jesus as LORD and all who totally make HIM to be LORD and in unity submit to HIS Commandments will see HIM in all of HIS GLORY, Eph. 4:11-16

You have been taught that it is OK and even expected to come to a place to agree to disagree. A dear long time brother in Christ and I have a disagreement as to how Sanctification works. He believes as I was also taught that it was a gift (To Make HOLY) as an act of faith to receive as in finding Jesus as LORD. I have now come to feel that Sanctification is a continuing work of the Holy Spirit. Where we learn to have victory over our old nature and Put on Christ in our new nature. That Sanctification is a process to make us a Holy people, really. So now we are at a point of working on this in LOVE together until we see it as God has designed it to be. Or we walk away in agreeing to disagree and continue to divided HIS Church. If you look around, pride is everywhere in working on making divisions. Divide and Conquer, the enemy motto. Goggle says that there are now over 30,000. Christian denominations and such. No wonder there is no power like in the Book of Acts in the Church today. No wonder the lost are confused and lost in the religious hypocrisy..

So I hope to open this blog into a place of discussion based solely on the Word of God to limit confusion. And with and open forum for your questions that we in LOVE may come into the UNITY that Jesus prayed that we would have in John 17. That in loving obedience and humility we can find that Spiritual Unity that allows the Holy Spirit to help those of us who are 100% serious of HIS LORDSHIP OVER US. And we can have faith to experience the day that the Lord has made and deeply enjoy and rejoice in it. God’s supernatural intervention always brings Joy along with it.

CHOICES, “WORTH CONSIDERING” 10/26/20 From Ken Smith

Today’s Scripture (Across my desk this morning from a church in Texas.)
“You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.” (Genesis 50:20, NLT)

God Will Connect the Dots
God gave Joseph a dream that he was destined for greatness, but before that dream came true, he went through some very dark places. However, today’s Scripture shows how God connected the dots. Being thrown into the pit by his brothers led to being sold to Potiphar in Egypt, which led to being falsely accused and put in prison. In prison, he interpreted the dreams of the butler and the baker, which led to interpreting Pharaoh’s dream and being put in charge of the nation. Every step was divinely orchestrated and moving Joseph toward his destiny. As was true in Joseph’s life, you have to believe that a disappointment, a betrayal, or a setback is part of God’s plan. It’s moving you little by little into your destiny. God knows what He’s doing. What looks like trouble is really the hand of God. Keep doing the right thing despite the trouble, and one day, God is going to connect the dots for you.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that what so often looks like trouble is really Your hand moving me toward Your purpose. Thank You that it’s going to push me into a level of my destiny I could never experience without it. Help me to be patient while You connect the dots. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Comments:
A BIG AMEN, to these thoughts today. The pain and suffering in my life was brought on by my own fear, unbelief, pride and by quitting in the middle of a battle that I could have won. A definition of the word insanity is to keep doing the same thing over and over and over again but expecting a different result. Pride, Anger and Rebellion always end in some form of bondage, seem to me. The example of Joseph is “Well Worth Considering,” If anyone ever had a reason to get really hateful and bitter it was Joseph. He brings his brothers food and they nearly kill him and end up throwing him in a hole and selling him as a slave for 20 pieces of silver. Then he does his very best for his slave owner and gets tossed into the worst place possible, the dungeon of Pharaoh. But due to his attitude got to run the place and has the freedom to help some guys. And God was with him from the very beginning and could use him due to his healthy attitude. Personally I would not have done so well. As I look over my life at how many time I have jumped the tracks due to rage or lust or for just being stupid , I can not count. Except that when I came to myself the Holy Spirit was always there to give me a hand up in Christ Jesus. But like a broken bone, a good healing only makes it stronger. I am not advocating sinning so you can get stronger, but to allow your healing to become complete in Christ Jesus in the areas of your weaknesses. It is not fate that get’s us into trouble and pain, it is our freewill making bad choices. We all have an Adamic nature that enjoys forbidden fruit. And when we make Jesus our LORD we go into a process of leaning how to not feed our old Adamic nature. Reminds me of a joke that I hear long ago. In Alaska, in the back country they had dog fights and betting. And the guy that had the fights in one village would put on fights each week and the locals would bet on the dogs and so would he. Thing was, he always would win a bundle when it even looked like all was up and up. Finally his assistant ask him one day how he knew which dog was going to win? He whimpered in his ear, “The one that I feed.”

So we have a Carnal Adamic flesh nature that want’s to rule over us. And when we become a Christian and give our life to Jesus as LORD we are given a new nature that is in the image of God. And then the battle begins for real as to which nature is going to win and the victory goes to the one that we feed. If we continue to stuff ourselves with the lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and pride of life, we will die to God’s light just as Jesus taught. But if we through the Holy Spirit replace the things of this world we will have life with our Creator for eternity in light. Rom.8. We know our own weaknesses and also the Bible teaches us to avoid youthful lusts. So what do I feed on, it is my choice. God gave me a free will, it is up to me as to what I decided to eat. And it is up to you as we all have a freewill to live for Good or Evil. In Rev. 3:14-22 Jesus tell us the Truth as usual, if we want it , about neither being hot nor cold and belonging to the land of mediocracy.

APPROVAL OF GOD

ALOHA SAINTS, FAMILY & FRIENDS, Beloved of God and me, John 3:16

APPROVAL OF GOD, “WORTH CONSIDERING” 10/23/20 By Ken Smith

Today’s Scripture (Across my desk this morning from a Church in Texas.)
“Your approval means nothing to me.” (John 5:41, NLT)

Don’t Rely on People’s Approval
It’s great when people cheer us on and make us feel valuable. We love when a friend compliments us or a coworker helps us on a project. God uses people to help move us toward our destiny. But you can’t become so dependent on people that you’re trying to get your worth and value from them. It’s easy to rely on them to keep you feeling good about yourself and make you feel approved. But if they don’t give you their approval and meet your expectations, you’ll feel discouraged and inferior, and you’ll work overtime to try to win their approval. The problem is, you’re trying to get from people what only God can give. Your value, your self-worth doesn’t come from another person—it comes from your Creator. Jesus knew better than to rely on people. What they do or don’t do doesn’t determine your worth and cannot stop your purpose. Quit depending on others’ approval and start approving yourself.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for the people You’ve placed in my life to help me move to my destiny. Help me, though, not to become dependent upon their approval or try to get my value from them. I declare that I have Your approval and love, and that’s all I need. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Comments:
This portion of scripture is very interesting in context. “ And you have not His word (His thought) living in your hearts, because you do not believe and adhere to and trust in and rely on Him Whom He has sent. [That is why you do not keep His message living in you, because you do not believe in the Messenger Whom He has sent.] 39 You search and investigate and pore over the Scriptures diligently, because you suppose and trust that you have eternal life through them. And these [very Scriptures] testify about Me! 40 And still you are not willing [but refuse] to come to Me, so that you might have life. 41 I receive not glory from men [I crave no human honor, I look for no mortal fame], 42 But I know you and recognize and understand that you have not the love of God in you. 43 I have come in My Father’s name and with His power, and you do not receive Me [your hearts are not open to Me, you give Me no welcome]; but if another comes in his own name and his own power and with no other authority but himself, you will receive him and give him your approval. 44 How is it possible for you to believe [how can you learn to believe], you who [are content to seek and] receive praise and honor and glory from one another, and yet do not seek the praise and honor and glory which come from Him Who alone is God? 45 Put out of your minds the thought and do not suppose [as some of you are supposing] that I will accuse you before the Father. There is one who accuses you—it is Moses, the very one on whom you have built your hopes [in whom you trust]. 46 For if you believed and relied on Moses, you would believe and rely on Me, for he wrote about Me [personally]. 47 But if you do not believe and trust his writings, how then will you believe and trust My teachings? [How shall you cleave to and rely on My words?]” 1 John 5:38-47. Jesus was referring to a prophesy in Deut. 18:15-19, “15 The Lord your God will raise up for you [a]a prophet (Prophet) from the midst of your brethren like me [Moses]; to him you shall listen. 16 This is what you desired [and asked] of the Lord your God at Horeb on the day of the assembly when you said, Let me not hear again the voice of the Lord my God or see this great fire any more, lest I die. 17 And the Lord said to me, They have well said all that they have spoken. 18 I will raise up for them a prophet (Prophet) from among their brethren like you, and will put My words in his mouth; and he shall speak to them all that I command him. 19 And whoever will not hearken to My words which he shall speak in My name, I Myself will require it of him.” Jesus completely fulfills this prophesy and most everyone that I know has at least read the Gospels of Mathews, Mark, Luke and John. So before our Eternally Creator we are going to stand in eternity and be responsible for our humility and obedience to the words (commandments) of Jesus that HE shared with us.

Before I became a Christian in 1955 in my mind, I had created my own religion. I thought, I am not really a HOLY MAN and don’t think I would be comfortable living around one. And I am not at all like Adolph Hitler or Charles Manson or those kind. So must be there will be a migration of souls to those of like minded. So I was not concerned about death as I would be OK… Of course I had no empirical evidence to support that fantasy. Seems we all tend to make up some kind of a fiction of where we are OK as we are for our trip into eternity. And we bet our eternal soul on that fiction. We watched a film the other night “Heaven Is Real” about a little boy that went there and came back, Very Powerful Story. Our New Testament is a witness of Jesus making that trip into eternity and coming back with hundreds of witnesses to tell us about it. When we are young we are much too busy, most of the time, to think about it. But at my age, I am very interested. And you know, my 88 years on life has been a flash. It was only yesterday that I was on the ridge of the chicken house roof with a tea towel tied around my neck hollering SHAZAM to take a leap of faith into being Captain Marvel and flying around the farm. But older minds talked me out of it. And there has been plenty of time to find out about Jesus and Repentance and Redemption for which I am most grateful.

Yours, in HIS great Love and wonderful Grace & Mercy, Ken<>< www.trinity-aloha.org

Today’s Scripture (Across my desk this morning from a church in Texas.)
“But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.” (Daniel 3:18, NIV)

Unconditional Trust
This is what three Hebrew teenagers did in the Scripture. They wouldn’t bow down to the king of Babylon’s golden idol. He was so furious that he was about to have them thrown into a fiery furnace. They said, “King, we’re not worried. We know that our God will deliver us. But even if He doesn’t, we’re still not going to bow down.” That’s unconditional trust. You may have a lot coming against you. Perhaps, you feel as though you’re about to be thrown into a fire. This is the key: stay in faith, believe in your dreams, believe the situation will turn around, and then declare, “Even if it doesn’t happen my way, I’m still going to be happy. God, if You turn it around, or if You don’t turn it around, I’m still going to give You praise.” You live like that and all the forces of darkness cannot keep you from your destiny.

A Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You that You are worthy of my unconditional trust. There are things in my life that I don’t understand, situations I want to see changed, but even if they never happen, I’m still going to trust You. I gladly leave these matters in Your hands. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Comments:
First come to mind the verses concerning persecution: “ And they have no real root in themselves, and so they endure for a little while; then when trouble or persecution arises on account of the Word, they immediately are offended (become displeased, indignant, resentful) and they stumble and fall away.” Mark 4:17 “Yet it has no real root in him, but is temporary (inconstant, lasts but a little while); and when affliction or trouble or persecution comes on account of the Word, at once he is caused to stumble [he is repelled and begins to distrust and desert Him Whom he ought to trust and obey] and he falls away.” Matt.13:21 “So for the sake of Christ, I am well pleased and take pleasure in infirmities, insults, hardships, persecutions, perplexities and distresses; for when I am weak [in human strength], then am I [truly] strong (able, powerful in divine strength). 2 Cor.12:10. “And this is a cause of our mentioning you with pride among the churches (assemblies) of God for your steadfastness (your unflinching endurance and patience) and your firm faith in the midst of all the persecutions and crushing distresses and afflictions under which you are holding up”. 2 Thess. 1:4. “Indeed all who delight in piety and are determined to live a devoted and godly life in Christ Jesus will meet with persecution [will be made to suffer because of their religious stand].” 2 Tim.3:12

So in being a really true and honest to God Christian you are going to suffer persecution. The darkness hates the light. So if you have your Christian lights on, folks that love darkness will be tossing rocks your way. Even as Cain killed Able as he did not like the exposure. Paul was being persecuted where ever he went with the Gospel. Jesus clearly taught us that if we followed Him, it was not going to set well with the world. The little Tract that I give away has 14 verses on Light with encouragement to come to the light of God. But Jesus warned us that when we served HIM that most would prefer the darkness and seek to put our lights out. And I have found that to be true where ever I go. Some folks are looking for the light and it is a great joy for me to find then and help them on their way. But most like their life as it is and like living in their own comfort zone even when full of thorns. Even Christians can become the same as the World

But the bottom line is that if you think you are a Christian and every one likes you, something is wrong. If you are not being persecuted for Jesus living in you, perhaps it is because HE is not there. In fact Paul states very clearly the “ALL” who live in and for Jesus will suffer persecution. So if you have little or no persecution then it is because no one is really seeing Jesus in you the hope of Glory. In my ministry over the past 50 years or so, I have met many with a Monopoly Get out of Hell FREE CARD tucked away in their past by making Jesus Savior. I was held by an evangelist on a fine thread over the pit of hell at 16 and got saved? But Jesus was not LORD and it lasted about 6 months or so. And like the shallow soil, I became gospel hardened and by 22 an atheist. And had to be dug out all over again in making Jesus both Savior and LORD. His primary concern, as LORD, should become ours is finding, for HIM, those other souls around us that are looking for HIS light. So, if you call yourself a Christian, what are you doing to help the LORD in finding HIS lost sheep. Are you getting any flack, any persecution? If not, you better take a better look at the fine print on your “Get out of Hell, Free Card. It is probably printed in China. And has no validity in the Holy Scriptures at all. Another of man’s traditions that have made the Word of God, ineffective. 2 Tim. 3 Paul gave a prophesy about it and so did Isaiah 28:12-20 (18) “And your covenant with death shall be annulled, and your agreement with Sheol (the place of the dead) shall not stand; when the overwhelming scourge passes through, then you will be trodden down by it.” A WORD FOR THE WISE…. If you shine HIS light there will be persecution, No Persecution ???????

VICTORY, GOD’S WAY “WORTH CONSIDERING” 10/21/20, From Ken Smith

Today’s Scripture (Over my desk this morning from a church in Texas.)
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. (Romans 12:21, NIV)

Walk Away
When David was a teenager, his oldest brother, Eliab, spoke to him in the most condescending, disrespectful, and accusatory way in front of others (see 1 Samuel 17:28). Rest assured that David felt like telling his brother off, but he kept his mouth closed, turned and walked away. Seeing such self-discipline, it’s no wonder God entrusted David to do great things.

You know that if you argue long enough with someone, you’re going to say things you regret later. A ten-minute argument can set the relationship back ten years. You have to learn to walk away. You’re not going to accomplish anything positive in a heated, disrespectful, contentious situation. Let them have the last word, and you keep your peace. The Scripture says that you “overcome evil with good.” You don’t overcome disrespect with more disrespect, or overcome insult with insult, or overcome shouting with more shouting. You do it by staying respectful. You be the first to walk away.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that in every way possible Jesus overcame evil by doing good. Thank You for giving me the grace to overcome evil by doing good as well. Help me to stay respectful in all of my conversations and every situation and walk away when necessary. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Comments,
In my life time we are coming into one of the most important elections that I have ever seen. My overview is that it is a decision between securing our Constitutional Republic or a big step into socialism. But it has become a personality cat fight of name calling and lies. Trump has the philosophy of “If they hit you, hit them back harder.” And it makes him look like a bully and it could easily move the nation into the web of socialism. Not saying that he and Biden will ever be friends or on the same page. But being friends with the American People is a must. Who wants a bully for president? I know folks (Christian Folks) who hate, yes deeply hate, Trump with an uncontrollable anger. Because he has taken on the personality of a bully. Frankly, I don’t think it is real or works very well due to the sowing and reaping law of the universe of our Creator. Jesus taught us that the best way, if possible, to get rid of our enemies was to make friends of them.

One time in ministry with hippies I had a really great opportunity to test this out. There was as big very strong stone mason, called Harvey that fell madly in love with a beautiful blond girl in my ministry. Harvey rode a really big Harley with short handle bars, I think a 1,200 cc and better than a thousand pounds. He started stalking the girl and her mother came to me that her daughter was really frightened of Harvey and wanted nothing to do with him. So I was up to bat and went and talked to Harvey, in love, logically, my best in the Lord. When done, Harvey looked at me like a big tank on the battle field and told me that he was going to kill me. And I had not doubt of his intent. But each time we would meet he would tell me I was dead meat and I will tell him that me and Jesus loved him and try to take time to talk with him about his work and such. After about a year, no more issue about the girl and we became good friends. Seemed he needed the love more than he wanted the hate and love won in the end. Now I have fond memories of Harvey and nearly 45 years later I am still here due to God’s Love. Harvey once borrowed my canoe one moonlit night and paddled in the open ocean from Kailua to Captain Cook. His bike would fall over in gravel and need 3 men to get it back up. If he broke a finger doing stone work and it grew back together wrong he would hit it with his other fist and break it again and tape some sticks to it until it was right. Harvey was something out of a horror movie but he became my friend. So I know by experience that Jesus is sharing the truth with us about loving our enemies and doing good to them and thus bringing them under the convection of the Holy Spirit. I don’t know if Harvey ever made Jesus Lord or not, but I would guess that he did, as God had a lot of love for that guy for sure.

Jesus mentioned that a man’s enemies would also be of his own house. That is the most difficult kind of a situation. As every day you have to give the battle to the lord and only bring love to the table even when you know how wrong that they are. To have the faith to simple Trust Jesus with them and to not get into it with them about the stuff of this world or the next. God has called us to a life of peace and to be peace makers and to simple be obedient to HIM and to walk away. But to never loose that understanding that God also loves them the same way that HE love us all. And that we are to also love them and pray for them that in faith they will come to HIS light and also find HIS Love and Peace even in the midst of the darkness of the enemy camp. Jesus came to save souls from eternal darkness and separation from God. This is also our prime directive with what ever gifts that we have from HIM as well. The world is full of the poor and the lost. We are to put on Christ and be here for HIM in our little world of influence to love others. If this is not your prime directive you might want to check out your eternal relationship with your Creator.

Yours, in HIS great love and wonderful grace and mercy, Ken<>< www.trinity-aloha.org

WHY ARE YOU HERE?

ALOHA SAINTS, FAMILY & FRIENDS, Beloved of God and me. John 3:16

WHY ARE YOU HERE? “WORTH CONSIDERING” 10/20/20 From Ken Smith<><

Today’s Scripture (Across my desk this morning from a church in Texas.)
Hezekiah trusted in the LORD, the God of Israel. There was no one like him among all the kings of Judah, either before him or after him. He held fast to the LORD and did not stop following him…And the LORD was with him; he was successful in whatever he undertook.
(2 Kings 18:5–7, NIV)

Break Out of the Mold
Hezekiah’s father was King Ahaz of Judah, who set up idols for the people to worship and closed the doors of the temple. He didn’t honor God, and the nation went downhill and became very poor. Hezekiah was raised in an environment of compromise, defeat, and mediocrity. He could have turned out like his dad and adapted to that environment, but when he became king, the first thing Hezekiah did was to reopen the temple. He turned the nation back toward God.

You may be in some kind of limited environment. If Hezekiah were here today, he would tell you, “You can break out of the mold. You can be the difference maker. You can be the one who sets your family on a course to honoring God, a course of blessing, favor, and victory.” Recondition your mind, start thinking better, believing that you’re a can-do person, knowing that you have seeds of greatness, and you too will break barriers that you thought were impossible.

A Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You that I can break out of the mold and be a difference maker. Thank You that I can live a life that honors You and is a blessing to my family. I declare that I will not live a life of compromise, but rather one of favor and victory. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Comments:
Really like this kind of attitude and faith principle. Don’t really consider myself a scholar at all. Never did do well in schools. Even today my spell check is overworked. Some of the things that the Holy Spirit guided me in doing that seemed dumb to do at the time. I purchased 150 acres of young trees in Oregon on a whim, it became Shiloh in the 70’s, I bought a 7 acre parcel of old building on Table Bluff in Eureka, CA and it became LightHouse Ranch and Gospel Outreach. I leased an old bar and brothel in Honalo, HI and it became Pilgrim’s Inn and The Fellowship of Christian Pilgrims in the 70’s. Bought an old Bar and Disco in Kailua Kona and it became the “Church of The Pacific” Leased and old stone church building with the roof caved in and it is now ‘Living Stones Church” in Kailua Kona. Seems the story of my life of what ever I get into the Lord has a use for it. Now looking into the vision of restoring the New Testament concept of House Churches. Just set up a new web file called Ohana Church or www.OhanaChurch.Life As it is something that any family can do to learn more about the Kingdom of God. So far not one contact, ad in the West Hawaii Today, nada -0- Like no one is interested. But I am very interested in what the LORD is up to now even at my age. So I get up in the mornings with that in mind, what next? !!!! Life is very exciting in the dimension of faith. When your life is truly centered in Jesus Christ as LORD, it is not about what I can do. It is all about what HE can do. HE has given HIS kids a lot of wonderful promises and it is much like walking on water. You got to be willing to get out of your boat that you are in if you are ever going to learn to walk on the water. Of course, you need to be invited so learning to hear the voice of God, even a little, is really necessary to not getting wet. For things to work out it is like a partnership, Our CEO is our creator, Jesus is the foreman but even as a workman I hold valuable stock in the corporation. So little is much when God is in it, and that is for sure. From 1968 when I received the empowering gift of the Holy Spirit, it has been exciting. So every day is a gift from my Creator to get involved in HIS WORLD of eternity. Randy in Mexico setting up a ministry, Lisa in Korea putting together a HomeChurch Internet access. Maggie in Kona working on what to do to access China with the House Church potential. I am a Happy Camper in the LORD.

And all of us have a reason in the LORD for our Creation. Something with Jesus in the Middle of it. Something that is not of this world. “Do not love or cherish the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh [craving for sensual gratification] and the lust of the eyes [greedy longings of the mind] and the pride of life [assurance in one’s own resources or in the stability of earthly things]—these do not come from the Father but are from the world [itself]. And the world passes away and disappears, and with it the forbidden cravings (the passionate desires, the lust) of it; but he who does the will of God and carries out His purposes in his life abides (remains) forever. 1 John 2:15-17 “See what [an incredible] quality of love the Father has given (shown, bestowed on) us, that we should [be permitted to] be named and called and counted the children of God! And so we are! The reason that the world does not know (recognize, acknowledge) us is that it does not know (recognize, acknowledge) Him. 1 John 3:1 Do not be surprised and wonder, brethren, that the world detests and pursues you with hatred. 1 John 3:13

POWER of YOUR WORDS

ALOHA SAINTS, FAMILY & FRIENDS, Beloved of God and me, John 3:16

POWER & YOUR WORDS,
    “WORTH CONSIDERING” 10/19/20, www.trinity-aloha.org

Today’s Scripture (Across my desk this morning from a church in Texas.)
The tongue has the power of life and death. (Proverbs 18:21, NIV)

Speak to Your Mountain
Words have creative power. They can be very helpful like electricity. Used the right way, electricity powers all kinds of good things. But electricity used the wrong way can harm or even kill you. It’s the same way with our words. Whether we speak positive or negative words, we will reap what we sow. If you’re always speaking words of defeat and failure, you’re going to live in a pretty miserable world. Use your words to change your negative situations and fill them with life.
The Scripture clearly tells us to speak to our mountains. Maybe your mountain is a sickness, a college debt, or a floundering business. Whatever your mountain is, speak to that obstacle. The Scripture says, “Let the weak say, ‘I am strong!’” Start calling yourself healed, happy, whole, blessed, and prosperous. God is a miracle-working God. Stop talking to God about how big your mountains are and start talking to your mountains about how big your God is!

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for the creative power that You give my words to change my life. Help me to give my faith a voice by speaking words of life and blessing over myself and my future daily. I declare that You are greater than any mountain I face. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Comments,
WELL WORTH CONSIDERING…. As I get older I tend to try to be honest to friends and family as to how I am feeling. As everyone asks, whether they are interested or not. As I was leaving a big church service one Sunday the minister, on the way out, with the gentle hand tug to keep me moving… ask me, in a very religious and acceptable way, “How are you really doing today.” So I let go of his hand and went over and got a fold chair and set it down next to him and began to sit down. He looked at me rather shocked, and said, “What are you doing?” And I simply replied, “Well, might take some time?” And then he realized what he had said and started laughing….. Like a deer caught in the head lights…. But seriously if we are fighting a physical battle of some kind we need to be quoting what God says as the Truth like Isa.53:5-6 and not those next door.

5 “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray, we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord has made to light upon Him the guilt and iniquity of us all.” Might just enjoy the following link if in a physical battle with the enemy: https://trinity-aloha.org/keys-to-the-kingdom/power-for-healing/ Scriptures taken from Dodie Osteen’s book, “Healed of Cancer.” Where she quoted these scriptures and was healed of cancer.

Our conscious mind, 1/7 is the gateway to our sub conscious mind, 6/7. And we train our heart mind to agree to what our head mind keeps sending. So junk in, junk out. Sowing and Reaping always go hand in hand. And it is only Heart Faith that secures anything in the Kingdom of God. Whether it be salvation, new life in Christ, empowering of the Holy Spirit and Spiritual Growth it is all experienced by heart faith. Read Hebrews 11. And so what we say about ourselves and others has a great influence in what we will experience and accomplish in life. And if negative like the Tower of Babel or positive like Jesus on the Mount of Transfiguration our faith is for good or bad works in the same way or another. In fact FEAR is FAITH going backwards. And the Word of God teaches that God has not given us the spirit of fear but of Love, Power and a Sound Mind. So actually God really loves us and is for us 100% but HE has to honor our free will. We control the door, Rev.3:20. Where Jesus is standing outside of HIS own church asking to come in.

Things that are holding back from healing us are our lack of love for each other, 1 John 4:13-21. Our lack of unity in God’s Truth, John 17 Vain church traditions, Mark 7:7. Paul even wrote about it: 2 Tim.3:1-5. And James has a few words of advice on healing for us: James 5:12-18
But above all [things], my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or by any other oath; but let your yes be [a simple] yes, and your no be [a simple] no, so that you may not sin and fall under condemnation. 13 Is anyone among you afflicted (ill-treated, suffering evil)? He should pray. Is anyone glad at heart? He should sing praise [to God]. 14 Is anyone among you sick? He should call in the church elders (the spiritual guides). And they should pray over him, anointing him with oil in the Lord’s name. 15 And the prayer [that is] of faith will save him who is sick, and the Lord will restore him; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. 16 Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart]. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working]. 17 Elijah was a human being with a nature such as we have [with feelings, affections, and a constitution like ours]; and he prayed earnestly for it not to rain, and no rain fell on the earth for three years and six months. 18 And [then] he prayed again and the heavens supplied rain and the land produced its crops [as usual]. (1 Cor.11:29-31 would also be good to consider.)

PEACE & HOMEOSTASIS “WORTH CONSIDERING” 10/16/20 From Ken Smith<><

Today’s Scripture (Across my desk this morning from a church in Texas.)
A relaxed attitude lengthens a man’s life; jealousy rots it away. (Proverbs 14:30, TLB)

Young at Heart
No matter what age you are, you can be young at heart, full of faith, energy, and creativity. Your spirit never ages. It doesn’t have to get old and grouchy. You can stay young in spirit. The way that happens is to give no place to the negative. Get in a habit of emptying out any offenses, knowing that God is in control and will do what He promised despite what comes against you. Empty out the worry and anxiety. If you made a mistake, empty out the guilt. If you didn’t do your best, empty out the regret. If you were upset because you didn’t get the credit you deserved, empty out the self-pity. If you had a bad break, and you don’t understand why, empty out the questions. Don’t try to figure it out. If you get good at emptying out the negative every day, you’ll be strong, vibrant, full of faith, and full of joy.

A Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You that I never need to get old in my heart, and that I can stay young and vibrant in my spirit. I choose to empty out the worry, mistakes, and offenses and let negative things go. Fill me with joy to overflowing. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Comments:
Today’s topic is understanding the word PEACE. There are two kinds of peace: Biological and Spiritual. Biologically, Homeostasis, any self-regulating process by which biological systems tend to maintain stability while adjusting to conditions that are optimal for survival. If homeostasis is successful, life continues; if unsuccessful, disaster or death ensues. The stability attained is actually a dynamic equilibrium, in which continuous change occurs yet relatively uniform conditions prevail. Like being on a big ship in a rough ocean. Once out of the Panama Canal and into the Atlantic Ocean the swells were above 16′ and every one was getting sea sick. I started to but then got into the very center of the ship and stayed vertical in spite of what the ship was doing and did not get sick. It was that way for several days in spite of the leveling thrusters of the ship. So if we do not give into the fight or flight motives that cause our adrenaline to pump it is much better for our whole body. It has been written by a person in the medical profession that 5 minutes of anger can upset your immune system for a whole day. My heart rate runs at about 60 beats a minute like a clock. If the music that I listen to is about the same, it is refreshing for me physically. And especially if about God’s Truth and the Beauty He has created. If 100+ beats my dinner is gone.

The same holds true for the Spiritual world. A few days ago I made a deal to get two small pieces of marble cut and edged polished and I am still sure the guy said $50. which sounded reasonable and would be ready on Wednesday. I came back on Wednesday and He said that he had told me Friday and that it was $150. for the work. I had the choice to go ballistic for a $100. and another 50 miles to pick up the marble. To get my marble and walk away and go to another place and start all over or to pay the $100. and give it to the LORD. Of course I started to go ballistic. But then the Holy Spirit reminded me to agree with my adversary quickly, so I did. And today the marble was delivered to my door by a Christian Hawaiian man who works there and we had a great time talking about Jesus and a new door opened in Hawaii of Spiritual Unity in God’s Love and Peace between a white guy and a brown guy who also knows how to speak Hawaiian very well and even taught me something new about Hawaii which is very important. He said that the State of Hawaii is inaccurate in quoting the State Motto. “The Life of The Land Is Perpetuated in Righteousness.” They left off, “Through our LORD JESUS CHRIST.” And none of this would have happened if I had been on a vendetta and took a walk in to grouch land.

This Election has made us reds and blues and sometimes in the same family. And yet the Word of God tells us that it is God who is in control in Rom. 13. And that we should keep the faith in the bond of PEACE and vote as the Holy Spirit guides us. And not to loose any sleep or make any enemies over it. Concerning the virus some are very fearful and some just ignore it. We should allow folks to be who they are as also does our Creator. Of course with our Creator if we seek, ask and knock HE is happy to help us find HIS Truth. But there is no stress or anger or manipulation involve, just LOVE. So consider spending some time in the Word of God finding out how to stay at peace with the big swells of this world both physically and spiritually and you will live a lot longer and have fewer visit to the Dr. and be Blessed with God’s Holy Truth.

Worthy Brief <worthybrief@worthynetwork.com> Pastor Bob Fu, who fled China and launched the Christian rights group ChinaAid was moved to safety after Chinese Communist Party (CCP) operatives besieged his U.S. home, friends say. As Democratic candidates across the nation harp on the economic devastation they attribute to the Trump administration’s mishandled COVID response, a closer look at state by state unemployment data reveals something far different: a tale of two economies on starkly divergent paths out of crushing shutdown economics. In “red” states, economic recovery is in full roar. “Blue” states, meanwhile, lag far behind, still staggering under unemployment levels associated with the deepest recessions. Suspended somewhere between these two poles are politically mixed “purple” states muddling through with fittingly middling unemployment numbers. The Knesset, Israel’s 120-seat parliament, today overwhelmingly ratified the Abraham Accords, the peace treaty signed with the United Arab Emirates at the White House on Sept. 15. A stunning new poll conducted by an Arab-American pollster has found that 79% of the people of Saudi Arabia are increasingly receptive to “normalization” of relations with Israel. Germany has agreed to give $662 million in aid to some 240,000 Jewish Holocaust survivors struggling under the burdens of the coronavirus pandemic, the group involved in the talks said. Islamic terrorist organization Al-Qaeda condemned the normalization of ties between Israel, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain Tuesday and issued a call for Muslims to mobilize and overthrow what it called the “toadies of the West,” the Jewish News Syndicate (JNS) reports.
