PROMISES, GREAT & PRECIOUS  “WORTH CONSIDERING” 10/8/20

Today’s Scripture    ( Across my desk this morning from a church in Texas.)
Whoever has no rule over his own spirit is like a city broken down, without walls.  Prov.25:28.
   
Build Up the Walls
When you let your feelings control you—anger, impatience, lust, a negative attitude—your walls of defense are down. The enemy can come in and run your life. God has given us self-control. Quit saying, “I can’t stop it. It’s too hard.” You have the ability, but self-control is like a muscle—if you never discipline yourself to walk away when you feel like taking the easy way out, then your self-control muscle is very weak. You have to start exercising it by saying no to your flesh. You have a destiny to fulfill. But as long as you are controlled by these ordinary impulses, God can’t release the amazing things He has in store for your future. Spiritual maturity has nothing to do with how many years you’ve been in church or how long you’ve known the Lord. It has everything to do with what kind of fruit you are displaying. Are you ruling over your emotions?
   
A Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You that one of the fruit of the Spirit working in me is self-control. Thank You that I don’t have to be a slave to feelings that have tried to control me for years. I believe that as I say no to the flesh, I will reach my highest potential. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
   
Ken’s Thoughts:
Self-Control for me is strongly attached to Free-Will.  And the Bible teaches us that if we have a lack of vision, we will not make it to light speed with God.  So in the Bible, God, through HIS prophets in both the Old and New Testament has set Solid Promises in place to give us an over view vision from HIS eternal dimension and perspective..

Through the prophets and apostles HE confirms to us that our dimension of time is only temporary.  That we have a very short time in this dimension to decide for disobedience or obedience in the free exercise of our free-will.   That we are here to lean how to use our free-will in a positive and a righteous manner.  That there will be eternal consequences as to our choices made in time.  And that those choices will be eternal.   So what are some of God’s plans for us if we come into love, faith, humility and obedience to HIM.

First off Jesus shared with us, 2,000 years ago, that HE was going to build an eternal house for us and even told us how big it would be: 1,500 miles by 1,500 miles by 1,500 miles high.  He talked about clear as glass,  gold being used for the streets.  He shared that we were to become HIS “Rod of Iron” as kings, priests and ambassadors in ruling over the earth in an Eden in peace for a thousand year.  He shared that by faith He would save us and forgive and empower us and then every thing that we did because of our Love for Him He was going to reward us for, even a cup of water given because of our obedience and love for HIM.  He shared that we, as HIS Church-Bride-Body would also be used to boot lucifer and his minions out of the heavens.  He shared about having a big wedding feast with us and blessing us and gifting us for what we did for HIM here on earth in time.  That if we would share HIS truth, HIS word of freedom that we could join with HIM in the harvest of eternal souls for HIS Kingdom.  He also promised to be with us in the Holy Spirit though our time of testing and for eternity.  And that HE would give us supernatural Grace to help us overcome the world as HE overcame the world.  He even challenged us that we could be like HIM and learn to do what HE did.  That if we found HIS commandments and kept them that HE would honor us before HIS Heavenly Father the ultimate source of all that is created in the universe.  That if we would dig into HIS word and accept HIS promises as being True and Faithful that HE would even allow us to grow up into being like HIM for all eternity.  That HIS vision was to create a people who are like HIM with free-will that have chosen to be righteous and creative in all thing to the point of never changing.  And  to ultimately become HIS eternal family and a joint heir with HIM in all that has been created in the universe.

So the big challenge for us is to come to be so sure of HIS promises that we are willing to become centered in Christ Jesus as our LORD.  That HIS promises are a better choice than to live out our lives simple being self-centered.  All babies start off with the Adamic nature of being self-centered.  And as we get older we learn to control the me, mine nature to some extent.  But Christ Jesus is asking us to die totally to that old Adamic nature in exchange for the Nature of God, with HIS help, of course.  The process of redemption and restoration to God’s vision can only happen as we decide to truly make Christ Jesus both LORD & SAVIOR for real.  With permission I sometimes ask a person, “If a bolt of lightening hit you and you became a pile of ashes, where would your soul go.”   So send me your answer, if you are interested in the above? And the second question that I ask is, “WHY?  ken@trinity-aloha.org   Most so called Christians find an in-between Comfort Zone and  rationalize and even con volute scripture so that they feel OK.  But this is a lie of the enemy as God will not be through pruning and training us until we are like Jesus.  And God will not violate our free-will, we can bail at any time, but HE will never fence us in. Heb.6     So If you do believe in the Precious Promises I challenge you to seek as I do every day to become 100% like Jesus, 1 John 4:17

Kamala Harris during the vice presidential debate on Wednesday.    The U.S. government has seized nearly 100 domain names used by a branch of Iran’s armed forces that officials said Wednesday were being used to conduct a disinformation campaign featuring fake news sites targeting the United States and other countries.

SANCTIFICATION & HOLINESS, “WORTH CONSIDERING” 10/7/20    Ken<><

Today’s Scripture          (Across my desk this morning from a church in Texas.)
“The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are, and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No destructive plague will touch you when I strike Egypt.”  (Exodus 12:13, NIV)
   
A Place of Protection
In the last plague that God sent on Egypt in order to get the Pharaoh to let the people of Israel go free, God told Moses that the Israelites should mark their doorposts with a lamb’s blood so that the death angel could “pass over” their houses and spare them from the death of all the firstborn of Egypt. You can imagine how careful they were to follow the exact instructions.  Today, have you put the blood of the Lamb of God over your house, so to speak? When you say, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord,” in effect you’re putting that blood over your doorpost. God says no harm will come near your dwelling. When you’ve accepted the sacrifice of Christ’s salvation, you’re in a place of protection. No weapon formed against you will prosper. Because of the blood of the Son of the living God, there’s a blood line that the enemy cannot cross.
   
A Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You that I am covered by the blood of Jesus. Thank You that I have Your protection over every area of my life and family. I believe that You have put a blood line of protection around me and no weapon formed against me will prosper. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

Ken’s Thoughts:
Much of the Old Testament is lived as prophetical view of the future.  The Tabernacle of Moses in the Wilderness was the original form for the New Testament Church in Acts.2:41-43.  And the above scripture gives us a very in depth physical description of Jesus being the Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world and becomes the light of the Kingdom of God as per Rev.21:23.  So Apostle Paul teaches us that the Old Testament was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, Gal.3:24 and that when faith comes we are no longer under a schoolmaster, Gal.3:25.   So the Old Treatment confirms the New Testament and we find most of what Christ Jesus taught is also taught in the Old Testament.  But that Christ Jesus Himself became the real of the prophetical type of the blood that covered our doorway if you will.  So the sacrifice is done, completed and by faith applied to cover our sins.    But then there is the process of sanctification for the Holy Spirit to guide us into true righteousness in the way we live our lives.   If we will allow the Holy Spirit to do so it is HIS task to help us become in the Image and Likeness of God.   To bring us up to speed in becoming like Jesus.  It is just the beginning of the changes that we need when we make Christ Jesus our LORD & SAVIOR and our faith has to be for both as in Romans 10:9-11,  “…because if you acknowledge and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord [recognizing His power, authority, and majesty as God], and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart a person believes [in Christ as Savior] resulting in his justification [that is, being made righteous—being freed of the guilt of sin and made acceptable to God]; and with the mouth he acknowledges and confesses [his faith openly], resulting in and confirming [his] salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him [whoever adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Him] will not be disappointed [in his expectations].” 

But then Apostle Paul takes us from salvation on into holiness.  2 Cor. 7:1, “Therefore, since we have these [great and wonderful] promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, completing holiness [living a consecrated life—a life set apart for God’s purpose] in the fear of God.  and “… put on the new self [the regenerated and renewed nature], created in God’s image, [godlike] in the righteousness and holiness of the truth [living in a way that expresses to God your gratitude for your salvation]. & …”so that He may strengthen and establish your hearts without blame in holiness in the sight of our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all His saints (God’s people).” & “…that each of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor [being available for God’s purpose and separated from things profane]” & “…For God has not called us to impurity, but to holiness [to be dedicated, and set apart by behavior that pleases Him, whether in public or in private].” &   “…For our earthly fathers disciplined us for only a short time as seemed best to them; but He disciplines us for our good, so that we may share His holiness.

I spent 13 years in a church that taught Sanctification and Holiness was a gift that we received when we were saved.   A lot of church members now believe in that tradition and it is wrong.  Sanctification and Holiness is a growth factor to actually bring us into the Image and Likeness of God.  So if we are not under self discipline or the Father’s discipline unto holiness, we are not yet the children of the Heavenly Father by faith.

According to the LifeWay Research survey, White Evangelicals plan to vote for Trump by a massive7 to 1 ratio for every 10 voters, while Black Evangelicals plan to vote for Joe Biden by the same landslide ratio.    With nearly two months left in the Atlantic hurricane season, Hurricane Delta is expected to make landfall on the mainland United States later this week, the 10th storm this season to do so.     Two Supreme Court justices have made a statement criticizing the landmark 2015 ruling in the case of Obergefell v. Hodges, which mandates that all states recognize same-sex marriage, Fox News reports. Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito said Monday that the mandate issued cannot be found in the constitution; their statement suggests they might be willing to vote to overturn the ruling if given the opportunity.    Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden has stated he would want to pass legislation cementing Roe v Wade, the Supreme Court case which legalized abortion, as the “law of the land.”

Today’s Scripture            (Across my desk from a church in Texas.)
Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and look at my hands. Put your hand into the wound in my side. Don’t be faithless any longer. Believe!” “My Lord and my God!” Thomas exclaimed.  (John 20:27–28, NLT)
   
Show Your Scars
After Jesus’ resurrection, Thomas had declared that he wouldn’t believe unless he felt the wounds in Jesus’ hands and side. When Jesus appeared to Thomas, He held out His hands and said, “Touch My scars.” Thomas fell down and said, “Lord, I believe!”   Maybe somebody needs to touch your scars to believe. Maybe they need to hear your story of how God brought you through the sickness, through the divorce, through the mistake or loss. Don’t hide your scars; show your scars. Your scars can inspire someone else to believe. There’s healing in your scars. When you see other people who are wounded, do like Jesus did and tell them, “Touch my scars.” Let them know that what God did for you, He can do for them. When they hear how God healed you, restored you, and blessed you, that will breathe new life into their spirit. God didn’t show you mercy just for your sake; those scars are for somebody else.
   
A Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You for the scars that Jesus bore in His hands and side for my redemption. Thank You for healing me of the wounds that I have had. Help me to show my scars and use my scars to encourage others of what You can do for them. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Thought:
My, this is such a needed message for all of us hear and to consider and do as guided by the Holy Spirit.   And I personally know that it is not easy to do.  At my age, I have scars all over me from one thing or another.  But nothing like the interior soul scars that we are considering today.  And I am tempted to include a few, but then was checked by the Holy Spirit as HE wants to guide me more specifically as needed and not publish another “confessional.”  But you do get the drift and some times the scars are good memories.  That I can share.   I use to love to go rock hunting and could see the hand of GOD in the buried treasure.  One day I was out in the Desert with my big hammer and chisel banging on some rock looking for hidden geodes and heard what sounded like a 22 firing in the distance.  And then something hit the big joint on my right thumb holding the hammer.  So though I was just grazed by a rock shard and thought nothing of it and it healed up without a trace.  Three year later I felt a strange little lump so next time I went to a Dr. I showed it to him.  He gave me a pain shot, opened it up and out came a little piece of steel from my chisel from my Mojave days.  So today there is a scar and I remember those wonderful days in the desert.  So I have good memory scars, stupid scars, dangerous scars and painful scars.  Never thought to much about them until today.  Got one from a boat ride up the inland passage way to Alaska, what a good memory that was.  Got a big one where I let a stupid Dr. use a laser to take out something under the skin that turned out to be just a small splinter.  So the story goes, we all have inside and outside scars.   The inside scars are harder to deal with as we can only find them when we realize that when we touch them we tend to go off track.  We become very self protective or perhaps even aggressive.  Or perhaps we go hide.  But we realize we are not free that we are running a program good or bad that is really not us.  Paul writes about this in Romans 7:14-20   “ We know that the Law is spiritual; but I am a creature of the flesh [carnal, unspiritual], having been sold into slavery under [the control of] sin.  15 For I do not understand my own actions [I am baffled, bewildered]. I do not practice or accomplish what I wish, but I do the very thing that I loathe [ [b] which my moral instinct condemns].  16 Now if I do [habitually] what is contrary to my desire, [that means that] I acknowledge and agree that the Law is good (morally excellent) and that I take sides with it.  17 However, it is no longer I who do the deed, but the sin [principle] which is at home in me and has possession of me.  18 For I know that nothing good dwells within me, that is, in my flesh. I can will what is right, but I cannot perform it. [I have the intention and urge to do what is right, but no power to carry it out.]  19 For I fail to practice the good deeds I desire to do, but the evil deeds that I do not desire to do are what I am [ever] doing.  20 Now if I do what I do not desire to do, it is no longer I doing it [it is not myself that acts], but the sin [principle] which dwells within me [ [c] fixed and operating in my soul]. 

And I would strongly suggest, if interested, to Read.  Romans chapters 1, 7, 8 to see how to have victory and to level the playing field.  Otherwise you may spend your life time with someone hitting your trip wires and going into an obsession mode of saying and doing things that are not really the truth or helpful for anyone.  A member of my family hated Ma Bell Telephone Co. And if we made a long distance call from his home, reverse charges, we would always get 30 minutes of anti Ma Bell.  So we avoided the trip wire by using the payphone down at the corner.  So check out your trip wires as they will greatly shorten the effectiveness of your life and perhaps even void you trip to HIS Kingdom.  Past pains from relationship that have gone sour are a must to check.  As we tend to use the past darkness of our past in painting the future even if we were wrong.  And if we do we may miss out on God’s Blessings for us.  We need to totally clear the past in order to have a good and clean future with our Creator.  And you can not be an atheist unless you know all about everything in creation for 15 billion light years in every direction.  So you should be logically looking to see why you are here and where are you going?   If not, you have your head in the sand.  Intelligent design is everywhere you look.  I was looking at a very intricate bug the other day,  yes, must be a GOD.

TRUTH & FREEDOM       “WORTH CONSIDERING”       10/5/20      From Ken<><

Did not find the sparking blog today from the church in Texas so guess need to go it alone today.   And as I am now 88 and getting closer to graduation, what could I write the is totally important and “Worth Considering?”

Jesus said something in HIS teachings that has always been a special light for me.
“And you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free.”  John 8:32   Three times in John 8, Jesus mentions that HE was the “I AM” of God…  That HE was the one who gave the 10 Commandments to Moses.  And they missed it.  And in fact I missed it to for many decades as it was not taught as revealed as in the context of the Greek.   Seems to me that the Enemy has been working overtime to keep us stupid,  divided and controllable.  

So 1st on my list.
Know your enemy.  How can you battle unless you know were your battle field really is.  That means getting honest with yourself.  We have people calling themselves Christian when Jesus is not really LORD.   So there are very secure people in what they believe about their good works as all that is needed for a deed to the Kingdom.  When the Bible clearly spells out it is having a relationship with the Holy Spirit and Jesus that get’s the ticket.   It is faith in the Precious Promises that helps us in being changed into the image and likeness of God in Righteousness.

But many have departed from the Holy Scriptures to make their own denominationally based building dedicated to their own traditions.  It is amazing the difference between the Early Church home forum gathering and the spectator theaters that many call Church today.   It is not that they are wrong in all cases.  There were many big open air theater for evangelism and the ministry of truth  But there is enough wrong today so that folks get bored and quit seeking  to find the power of GOD elsewhere and some even return to the  encouraged through the Holy Bible.  But many fall away and become Gospel hardened.

Some Church members are taught to make Jesus Savior because they don’t want to be excluded from heaven.  They are told that is all they need to do.    But the Bible teaches us to make Jesus LORD.   And although God is totally all powerful and wants to lovingly teach us Obedience and Righteousness as with Adam.  Yet it is only through faith and love and your personal decision for humility, obedience and righteousness that God can do so.     It can only happen as we are being encourage to learn to  run to God and not from God.   It is only though the Holy Spirit that we can be trained in humility, obedience and how to use the power of God to help each other.  This means that we must spend time in learning about HIS great promises and in the process come into faith to want to become obedient to them as being real.   It is only then that we really can start the process of learning to live in God’s Kingdom of Righteousness and Power and become sanctified.
It is only then that we will be a match for the Kingdom of Righteousness that is being built.

So the core of really being a Christian is when in God’s Truth, Jesus is LORD become the core of our being.  That we give up the rights to control our lives to God.   This means the stuff we got from Adam of pride and rebellion has to go.  Truth comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.   It is finding all the truth in the Word of God and building on it that we become like HIM.   On any given subject we need to find the whole picture from Geneses to Revelation.   (Actually easy to do with Bible Gateway.)   We need it all to have all the facets of God’s Truth to see HIS TRUTH and be free.  This key is found in Isaiah 28,  precept upon precept and line upon line.  And the chapter goes on to say that God is going to wash away all of the deception in the resurrection.  It is like the old saying:  Content without Context is pretext.   Context is to take the time to get the overview before you make a decision.   And unless you personally know the all the truth,  you are not qualified to judge.   It is like being an atheist is really stupid as you must know all about everything in all of creation to make the judgment that God does not exist.   If you prefer to excuse yourself from the spiritual world, the best you can say is, ” I really don’t  know.”  Or further to be honest,  “I am not really impressed by what I have seen so far.”  But then don’t you really want to know, deep down.  If there is a door into another room to eternity, don’t you want to be sure you find it?

D.L. Moody rarely spoke of His Baptism in the Spirit which took place in New York just after his church was burned down in the great Chicago fire of 1871. It radically changed his ministry, earning him the moniker, “Crazy Moody.” Yet, his preaching brought thousands to faith, and Moody Bible Institute in Chicago has educated thousands more for ministry since its birth.  The third great awakening saw God radically empowering believers by His Spirit to usher in a harvest in their generation which continues to impact society today.  George Mueller began a movement of orphanages and Christian schools, and amazingly, was accused of raising the poor out of their ‘station in life’ as he educated over 120,000 children.  Elsewhere in Great Britain, William Booth’s Salvation Army outreach was birthed out of the third great awakening. His concern for rampant alcoholism led to the prohibition movement of the 1930s. Riding on a wagon through the streets, Booth called on alcoholics to stop drinking and come to faith in Jesus. His success led former drunks to coin the phrase, “I’m on the wagon”.

Worthy Brief <worthybrief@worthynetwork.com&gt;   A Haitian pastor and his wife who had immigrated to the US were found murdered upon returning to their island as missionaries, the Christian Post reported Sunday. Pastor Jean Phillippe-Quetant (57) and his wife Erna Plancher-Quetant (54) were shot dead in their home during the course of an armed robbery. The couple are survived by five children.  Symbolizing his eagerness to open up America despite the coronavirus outbreak, President Donald Trump returned to the White House Monday night after leaving the military hospital where he was treated for COVID-19.     In contrast to a low-key stance it has adopted in the past, China is now pushing hard for leadership posts in United Nations agencies, frequently resorting to bribery and economic coercion in doing so, the Washington Times reported on Sunday. As one of the five Permanent Members of the UN Security Council, China has veto power.

JUDGMENT,    “WORTH CONSIDERING”   10/2/20   From Ken<><

Today’s Scripture     (Across my desk this Friday from a Church in Texas.)
As they danced, they sang: “Saul has slain his thousands, and David his tens of thousands.”
(1 Samuel 18:7, NIV)
   
Join the Dance
King Saul had been happy running his race until David started getting more praise than him. From that moment on, Saul never looked at David the same way and ended up losing his throne over it. What was his problem? He could not handle somebody getting ahead of him. Saul got distracted and spent months and months trying to kill David all because he wasn’t comfortable with who he was.  Maybe like Saul, you’re at the one thousand level but you have a friend who’s at the ten thousand level. The real test to see if God can promote you is: Can you celebrate people who pass you by and stay focused on your race? Can you celebrate what you’ve accomplished? Our attitude should be: “God may have made me to be a one thousand-level person, but I’m going to be the best one thousand-level person you’ve ever seen. I’m going to become all God has created me to be.”
   
A Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You for the amazing people You have brought into my life, and thank You that You’ve made me amazing as well. Thank You that I am not competing against others but simply running my own race. I celebrate who You have made me to be. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Actually we are told in scripture to judge nothing before the time.  That all judgment really is in the hands of the Lord  Jesus Christ.  The reason is that we are locked in a dimension of time and we have only a limited understanding and perspective.  I made a tract into a paper airplane and gave it to a lovely little girl in Denny’s the other day.   Prayed over it, what happened to is, only God knows.  Could quickly be trashed… or could turn the family towards the LORD.  But much in my life now is done with simple obedience.   As I left my study the Holy Spirit reminded me to take some tracts along.  As I ate breakfast, a man and 9 yr. old girl sat down for a special time together.  The Holy Spirit told me to make a paper airplane of the tract which can really fly pretty good.  And as I left I ask the father if the daughter could have the airplane and he was delighted to have a gift for the daughter.  And her eyes lit up with the expectancy of playing with the little toy.   And I know in the process the tract will start to come apart and that the picture of a lighthouse and the words “Let There Be Light” will flash out and perhaps the tract, all Bible on light, will be considered.  What a nice moment in time.  But what will happen out of it, I will not find out until standing before the LORD and giving an account of my life on earth.  I am having my 4th printing of 1,000 tracts printed now.  Cost about .10 cents each to have printed.  Want some, let me know.

So it really does not matter where I am in the flow of God’s Kingdom.  I am only responsible to use what God has entrusted to my care for HIS GLORY as best as I know how.  That to be 100% committed to living my life in Christ Jesus by the Power of the Holy Spirit.  And that I am not in competition with anyone.  I am unique, one of a kind.  There will never be anyone else like me.  God made me and broke the mold.  I don’t have to measure up to anyone else.  I just need to learn to run at 100% efficiency for Jesus as my LORD.  And to not be weighted down by the stuff or cares of this world unless they are part of what God wants me to carry.   He is looking for kids to love HIM with all their heart and not with one eye on the T.V. or in getting that shiney new car or…..

Life consists not in the abundance of things we posses but by every Word that proceeds from the mouth of God.   As I see it now at 88, I need to set my personal ideals in neutral if I really want the Holy Spirit to be my guide in life.  It is either all God or it is all me.  I want it to be all God…  Jesus made this very clear in His teachings in the Gospels.

It’s Under Your Feet
How we see our difficulties very often will determine whether or not we get out of them. When you face challenges and things come against you, it’s easy to get overwhelmed and start thinking, This is never going to work out. I’ll just have to learn to live with it. That kind of thinking not only pushes you down, but it stops God from working. It’s going to attract fear, worry, and doubt. Many people settle for mediocrity. You have to change your perspective. If you’re going to live in victory, you have to see every sickness, every obstacle, and every temptation as being under your feet. It’s no match for you. It’s not going to keep you from your destiny. It’s already defeated. God is going to use it as a stepping stone to take you higher. It’s just a matter of time before you break through to a new level.
   
A Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You that Your Word says that You have put all things—every sickness, obstacle, and temptation—under my feet. Thank You that I don’t have to just learn to live with it or put up with it. I declare that all of these challenges are under my feet. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Healing was automatic when God’s Holy Presence and Will was sincerely acknowledged.  God’s Will can only be done when our will is in neutral.  And God’s power will only flow as we come into a place of acknowledging and submitting to HIS Holy Presence.   So things are only under your feet if they are also under HIS.   We don’t go by our feelings but by faith.  What God says in HIS Word is true regardless of how I feel.  Our need is to be faithful to HIM and to our faith in HIS precious promises and not by our feelings.   Feelings can be fickled.   Watch this clip if you are really interested in Kathryn Kuhlman.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JC3B3wG0fa8

My personal experience with Kathryn goes back to 1968 to a 7,000 seat auditorium in Los Angeles.  I had the opportunity to usher and sing in the choir and really experience the presence of the Holy Spirit in power.   As an usher I helped a man from his wheel chair, he was a sack of bones with hardly any muscles at all when I placed him in a seat so his chair could be removed due to the fire code.  When the meeting closed he was pushing his friend that brought him back and forth, across the stage in his own wheel chair.  At another service I saw perhaps a 150 hippies come forward to receive Christ as Lord.   One night I came early to set in the Choir and was just sitting, thinking and praying when the 7,000 seats were full with thousands standing outside and the house lights went out.  I thought the power had been turned off.  A short of something?  But then I began to see small lights in some of the seats.  In some sections it was like salt and pepper.  In other sections it was bright lights for 20-30 seats, Good church, I guess.  But 2/3 of the seats were dark and empty.  Then I blinked and the house lights were back on and the auditorium was still full of people.  But my Heavenly Father showed me things in a different way, HIS way.  Seems it was the difference of making Jesus savior to keep out of hell or making Jesus LORD and allowing HIM to rule.   I saw Kathryn as a prophetess of God and certainly had no difficult with her being a woman.   What came out of her mouth was simply pure Jesus.   So, if we say or think we are Christians, what comes out of our mouth?  If Jesus is really LORD then what should come out of our mouth should match?  James puts it this way.  James 3:17    7 But the wisdom from above is first pure [morally and spiritually undefiled], then peace-loving [courteous, considerate], gentle, reasonable [and willing to listen], full of compassion and good fruits.   So this is what a Christian tongue should be about, seems to me.  Take a little time and read James, Chapter 3… Give yourself a report card.  Also take a look at Isa.28 concerning foundations….  Very interesting for me as Isa. made a prophesy concerning the folks who would make up their own way to try to go to God’s heaven.

Are we witnessing a “great awakening?” We’ll find out … for if it is of God … who can really be against it? The real question that faces each of us… “are we awakened?” If so, then the Lord is beginning a great awakening within each one of us! Isn’t this what a move of God does? May revival begin in each one of us … don’t worry about the controversies … the truth is controversial enough!   Darkness and Death will always hate the LIGHT, look what they did with Jesus….

Love Covers
In relationships, we all have disagreements, tension, and stress. When we do, we need to step back and remember that love makes allowances for other people’s weaknesses. Love covers a wrong done to it. You have to rise above these petty things that are pulling you apart. Give people room to have a bad day. When they’re rude, don’t respond. Be an eagle and rise above it. Life is too short for you to live at odds, being contentious, arguing over things that don’t matter. Some people have to have the last word in every argument. Don’t be hardheaded. Let it go. Quit wasting your energy. You have a destiny to fulfill. You have an assignment to accomplish. Those are distractions trying to pull you off course. Zip it up and let the other person be right. You may know they’re wrong, but it doesn’t matter. Don’t waste your valuable time on something that’s not moving you toward your purpose.
   
A Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You for loving and approving me just as I am. Help me to do the same with others and seek the best for others. I ask You for the deep love that covers offenses and weaknesses so that I can honor You in everything I do. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
   
Ken’s Thoughts:
Last night, I could not watch the presidential debate, it was disgusting.  Neither party was a true statesman.  We have come to this?  Of course, as a businessman organizer, I do feel Trump has been the best of the 2 choices allowed to us.  But we, as a nation do need to rise as a eagle and get an overview of God’s vision for our nation.  Obviously, we all know that if we keep drifting the way we have been going that judgment must fall.  At one time most of the Bibles in the world came from America, now most of the porn.  Use to be that we did all we knew how to do to save unborn children.  Now we find that some have been using the living body parts of abortions for experiments with animals. When I was in grade school God was in literature, social studies, English, geography and song and prayer and such.  Even had the 10 commandments by the light switch by the door.  No every vestige of God is being removed from the education of our children and even the parents are called on the carpet if their children are too religious.  And all of this can be changed at the present time at the ballot box.

None of us have it together even though we pretend that we do and can snow most of the people around us most of the time.   But then we need to live with ourselves and we know better.  So it is past time that we get honest with ourselves and God and come clean in humility so we can be healed.  Repent was the beginning message for the Church in Acts in Peter’s first message that converted 3,000 men, heads of families.   To repent for being like Adam is the beginning of life eternal.  Notice what Adam did when he was caught by God with his hand in the cooky jar.  God, you are responsible.  LOOK, it was the poor quality of a woman that you gave me.  She is the one who is responsible.   Of course Eve also had her story.  The serpent was so beautiful, You made him,  he beguiled me.  Blame shifting from the very beginning and we are still knee deep in it every day.

You have a totally free will.  You have every right to do with your life what you please.  In that way you are like God.  Except that God knows better than to sin and is not tempted by the lies of sin.  And HE actually has us spend a life time on earth to be able to figure it out.   Every day we are faced with a so called easy way which usually ends up having strings.  And we are confronted with a God way that sometimes looks difficult but then becomes easy.  Like I have been needing a large window put in the shop.  49″x 64″ and heavy.    After months of trying to get a really good price used or wholesale or CraigsList…  I finally got quiet enough a couple of days ago and heard the LORD simply say, just get the window….  So I called 3 places,  got a price at one store that was ½ that of another, orderd the glass, picked it up this morning and now already installed.  So another item off of my list.  So take the stuff to the LORD, then back off and find a place of peace and listen.  You will be surprised how your list get’s smaller and smaller.  So bottom line it is the better to be able to learn to hear the voice of the LORD and do as HE says regardless of how it looks.  It is better to be right with GOD though all around you feel you are nuts.  “Unless the LORD build the house, they labor in vain that build it”.  So don’t start something unless you know for sure it is HIS will.  And once you start don’t look back or listen to your so called friends tell you whay it will not work.  I often think of the Noah jokes of the day, that was one big barge with no water.  But the day came and the laughing stopped.  The snatching of the Church from the earth will be like that….  I have written a paper called, “The King is Coming” want a copy, tell me, no charge of course.  Ken<><

Rest from Your Enemies
King Asa of Judah inherited a kingdom that was filled with idolatry. His father had passed down compromise, mediocrity, and dysfunction. But Asa understood that just because something negative is passed down doesn’t mean you have to continue it and let it limit your life. He smashed the pagan shrines and altars, and because of it, the Lord gave him rest from his enemies.

If you want rest from that bad attitude, that addiction, or that low self-esteem that most likely was passed down to you, you have get rid of it. Be an Asa and say, “I’m not going to let this anger rule my life. I’m going to pull that stronghold down and smash it. I’m not going to put up with this anxiety and insecurity. I’m removing these limitations. I’m living in peace. I’m going to enjoy my life.” When you make a decision that enough is enough, God will begin to give rest from your enemies.
   
A Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You that I don’t have to be defined by the past, by what was passed down to me or the mistakes I’ve made. Thank You that I can take a stand and remove anything that is holding me back. I will be the difference maker and break the chains. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Thoughts:
Thank God!!!  That our Creator gives each one of us the same opportunity for Truth & Freedom in Christ Jesus.  That He is honor bound to send the truth to every soul who asks, seeks and knocks to find it.  That everywhere on planet earth the signs of HIS hand in creation is visible.  Apostle Paul shares with us this very same thought.  Rom. 1:19-23 

19 because that which is known about God is evident within them [in their inner consciousness], for God made it evident to them. 20 For ever since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through His workmanship [all His creation, the wonderful things that He has made], so that they [who fail to believe and trust in Him] are without excuse and without defense. 21 For even though [a] they knew God [as the Creator], they did not [b] honor Him as God or give thanks [for His wondrous creation]. On the contrary, they became worthless in their thinking [godless, with pointless reasoning, and silly speculations], and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools, 23 and exchanged the glory and majesty and excellence of the immortal God for [c] an image [worthless idols] in the shape of mortal man and birds and four-footed animals and reptiles.

We all seem to know, down deep, that this world and a life time in this world is not all that there is.  Every religion in the world, true or false, has an awareness of that this is not the end of it.  Even the position of an atheist is not tenable as you must know all there is to know to be able to be absolutely sure that God does not exist.  Of course from the Christian perspective using the Holy Bible it is slam dunk that we are an eternal living soul and it is only a matter of our decision as to our placement for eternity.   That Earth life is simple a beginning for eternity and the world that we live in is like a time of testing or decision.   A Gymnasium if you will that will either make us spiritually strong in the family of God or usurer us out into eternal darkness where it is total void.   God is not going to allow what we have done to earth to exist in HIS eternity.  His essence is LOVE and out of that love comes our creation with a free will.  We make the decision for where we want to spend eternity.  It will be out of our own words and actions that judgment will come home to us.   A Christian point of view,  we are now living in a 7,000 year unique capsule of time that will be over in about another 1,000 years of time for of testing of souls.  And then the Creator will make a new heaven and earth where only righteousness prevails.  And we have all been invited.  But we have much to learn here as to how to live in that kind of righteousness in the presence of the Creator.  So the test is what do we do with Jesus.  Do we center in HIM,   or do we center in ourselves.   Who is boss, God or me.  Do I do what HE wants or do I do what I want.   And how to I know the difference?  In the 1st 2,000 years God dealt with the world in power, then for 2,000 in Law, now 2,000 in Grace and the last 1,000 in Peace.   And it has all been written down for us to study and for all of that there will be only a few who make it.   Will you be one of the few?

Will true and lasting repentance preserve our freedom in the West to preach the Gospel unhindered in the years ahead? Or will darkness and tyranny overtake us forcing the battle for revival to continue in a context of governmental opposition or even captivity?     Military suicides have increased by as much as 20% this year compared to the same period in 2019, and some incidents of violent behavior have spiked as service members struggle under COVID-19, war-zone deployments, national disasters, and civil unrest.    The pastor of a house church in China’s southern Fujian province was summoned to appear in court earlier this month because he and his wife have chosen to home-school their children, International Christian Concern (ICC) reports. According to ICC, the Chinese government is not only continuing its crack-down on churches but is now also impeding parents from home-schooling their children.      Writing to the mayor of San Francisco about his COVID-19 policies, the Department of Justice (DoJ) said on September 25 that it is “draconian” to allow only one congregant at a time in house of worship, while “allowing multiple patrons in other indoor settings including gyms, tattoo parlors, hair salons, massage studios, and daycares,” the Christian Post reports.

Be Filled with Good Things
The reason some people aren’t young and strong in their spirit and vibrant and passionate about life is that there’s no room for God to fill them with good things. All the space is taken up with negatives. Worry will make you weak. Living stressed out will make you old and take your passion. Being bitter, angry, and resentful will shorten your life.  Is God trying to fill you with joy, confidence, and creativity, but there’s no room? If you empty out the negative, God will have room to fill your life with good things. Instead of hanging on to bitterness after someone does you wrong, say, “God, I forgive them. I let it go.” You didn’t just forgive; you made room for God to give you beauty for ashes. When you empty out worry, you’ll have peace in the midst of the storm. Empty out discouragement, and He’ll fill you with joy. He’ll fill you with good things.
   
A Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You for the promise that You fill my life with good things. I choose to empty out the worry so You can fill me with peace, to empty out the discouragement so You can fill me with joy. I believe that You will keep me young and strong in spirit. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Thoughts,
At 88, the plumbing does not work so good any more so after I got back to my sleeping chair my mind went ballistic with everything that I needed to do today, but it was 4 AM.  It was such a blessing to give it all to our Lord and fall peacefully back to sleep. But back in the saddle again this morning touching base with you.  And some days are like renewed youth even at 88.  But the key of today is, do you really have room for the LORD to be the LORD in your life.  There are many of us that are so full of themselves that there is no room for the Holy Spirit to help at all.

So it is important each evening and each morning to have a clean sweep down of personal objectives.   You need to allow the Holy Spirit time to help organize your day and your night in the peace of Christ Jesus.  In the news today we see Pence our V.P. on the front lines with a bunch of Christians in prayer.  And Trump supporting Prayer to Christ Jesus as Lord and Savior.  Many will immediately call foul and rip Trump to shreds as a hypocrite.  Personally, I hope he is catching on as needing to have God’s help in changing himself and changing our Country back to the level of Godly faith that it began with.  And we all need to realize that for the Holy Spirit to fill us, our cup must also be empty of self.  If Jesus is to become our LORD and the center of our lives then we will need to take time to find out what HE has created us to do for HIM and HIS Kingdom.   That we are not our own, we have been purchased from sin and death by the precious sufferings of our LORD.  I was thinking about Mel Gibson and the film “The Passion” yesterday and that I personally can not watch that film but perhaps once a year, if then.   And yet the film was not even close to what Jesus went through to redeem us from the clutches of sin, sickness and death.

So Paul considered himself to be a bond slave of Christ Jesus.  A slave that was given freedom but decided to rather remain as a slave of his master as being a much better way of life than outside.   So today concerns making room for God’s Blessings by doing some house cleaning.  It use to be that after a hard winter there would be spring house cleaning where even the carpets were hung on the clothes line and beaten to get the dirt out from the winter.  And every thing from floor to ceiling was cleaned for the new life of spring.  You would be wise to take inventory and see what you can toss by the Grace of God and with help of the Holy Spirit of negative attitudes.  Like Jesus tells us to love our enemies and do them good.  Paul tells us to pray for those in authority and to be in humility about them as they are there for our best interest.  Perhaps they are what we deserve and not what we want but that is in the hands of God.  Hopefully Amy will get confirmed and this nation’s court will have another look at abortion.  Perhaps God will allow this nation to completely drain the Swamp.  Worth our time to pray about, for sure as we all have many small children growing up in our families.  I have three great great, grandchildren now and over 35 great grandchildren that I would like to have a better chance at life than spending 12 years in schools teaching immorality,  atheism and socialism.  We have allowed this nation to become very decadent, stuff fixated and basically sinful.  We can repent or for sure we will be judged.  And repentance is an individual and very personal thing.  It is a decision to go for the light rather than be dragged along into the darkness of eternity.  The choice is now ours because of Jesus.

Obviously we are in a sea of misinformation and out right lies and will be there for the next 60 days.  My thought have been to find some objectivity about it all as to which 2 choices that we have would be best for us Christians.   Seems all shades of Grey for the most part with no White Knight to step in and save us all.

One side wants to kick God out of everything and get rid of our Constitutional Republic and put another form of government in it place which they say will be atheist and better for all.   Of course those thought have been tried by many countries over the years and ruined most of them.  Absolute authority, corrupts, absolutely….

The other side seems to be sliding around our Constitutional corners as well.  But then can you believe anything from the national news these days?  the Pres. is a business man, not a Christian it would seem.  Got to personally know, for sure,  both sides to be able to clearly judge a Truth.  You can find anything on YouTube.

Some of the things that I liked about the last 4 years.  Supreme Court Judge choices.   Putting folks back to work, best employment in 50 years.   Less restrictions, less taxes and more freedom.  Christmas again celebrated at the White House.   OK to say Merry Christmas again.  We were just about to have a balanced budget when hit with the virus from China.  Which some feel may be a planned attack.  Also would love to see the swamp REALLY DRAINED in D.C.

But the big issue is to really stay close to the Holy Spirit and not to let any of this junk change your relationship with Jesus.  Watch out for pride full judgments and bitterness.  None of us know exactly what happened.  We only see through the eyes of those who may already have been corrupted.  So stay in Love with humility and obedience to the Holy Spirit and we will be fine.
