VICTORY

Aloha,  FAMILY AND FRIENDS,    6/21/19

This was written some time ago by David Wilkerson but still very true and a very difficult lesson to learn for me.  At near 86 I have been fighting gout in my right foot and ankle,  very very painful at times.  So still trying to learn how to rest in the LORD, cease from my own efforts and Trust HIM for the healing.   But then it seems I have more faith for others than I have for my self.   Perhaps that is why we need each other in HIS UNITY, like in:  John 17:20-26 & Eph.4:11-16.   (Please Read the Verses!!!)

Perhaps when we are fitly joined and compacted we get to see Jesus powerfully living among us…  In John 17:22 the LORD gives us HIS glory (power) because we come into Unity in HIM.  So  OK,  perhaps this is the way that it works.  We get together with One Mind and One Spirit in HIS Truth and we then can experience Freedom from sin, sickness and death?  No memberships,  no pew polishing, no tithing,  no denominations just giving out of vision and love.  Leadership, of course,  but there because we want to be there, where ever,  house church or big box building with a steeple,  no matter the place.  The CHURCH is the people.

After all,  There is but one Church of Christ Jesus and all who love HIM and obey HIM are members….   Right ???  So find a Jesus Church where Jesus is actually LORD,  where HIS commandments are really honored and see where it goes.

Love in Jesus,  Ken<><

No Hope of Victory in Our Own Strength

David Wilkerson (1931-2011)

June 7, 2018

Even if you are saved — living under the covering of Christ’s blood and secured by faith in his work on the cross for you — you can still have ongoing battles raging inside you. Enemies of your soul seek to devour you and you are still engaged in a battle with satanic powers and strongholds. We are to claim the power that is available to us through God’s New Covenant, but that power comes only by faith.

The prophet Isaiah warned Israel that there was no possibility of victory for them if they attempted to fight their adversary in their own strength. Isaiah chapter 31 paints a perfect picture of the futility of trying to do battle with the enemy in our human ability. I believe this chapter is a type and shadow of the ineffectiveness of our attempts today to defeat lusts, bad habits, and besetting sins by relying on human ideas and aids.

This chapter is also an example to us of how sin will increase in the last days. Scripture says that society will wax worse and worse and the Church will be inundated with deceptions and doctrines of demons. I believe we are seeing that happen right now. Demonic hordes have infiltrated all media and every form of technology, flooding our culture with sensuality and perversions of all kinds.

If you are in the midst of an overwhelming struggle, you must learn the word God gave to Zechariah: “’Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of hosts” (Zechariah 4:6).

“For through the voice of the Lord, [the enemy] will be beaten down” (Isaiah 30:31). Isaiah is saying, “Your Lord promises to fight for you. He will make his voice known and it will put all your enemies to flight.”

Are you facing an enemy that is too powerful for you right now? If so, God asks simply that you lay down your sword and trust him to fight on your behalf.

HOUSE CHURCH

HOUSE CHURCH   6/22/19

Aloha Family and Friends,
Your address is on our Bcc list due to your previous interest in this little house church in Kealia,  So. Capt. Cook, HI.

The focus of our little House Church is to totally tune into the Holy Spirit as to how HE wants to build the LORD’S CHURCH.  To build a foundation from only Holy Scripture means to reject all teachings and traditions that would waste our time.    To set a foundation in Biblical Truth that will develop a
Church that is totally responsive to the Holy Spirit in Holy Scripture and Biblical context for the pure TRUTH of GOD that really sets us free in Christ Jesus.

Ephesians 4:11-16 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

11 And His gifts were [varied; He Himself appointed and gave men to us] some to be apostles (special messengers), some prophets (inspired preachers and expounders), some evangelists (preachers of the Gospel, traveling missionaries), some pastors (shepherds of His flock) and teachers.

12 His intention was the perfecting and the full equipping of the saints (His consecrated people), [that they should do] the work of ministering toward building up Christ’s body (the church),

13 [That it might develop] until we all attain oneness in the faith and in the comprehension of the [[a]full and accurate] knowledge of the Son of God, that [we might arrive] at really mature manhood (the completeness of personality which is nothing less than the standard height of Christ’s own perfection), the measure of the stature of the fullness of the Christ and the completeness found in Him.

14 So then, we may no longer be children, tossed [like ships] to and fro between chance gusts of teaching and wavering with every changing wind of doctrine, [the prey of] the cunning and cleverness of [b]unscrupulous men, [gamblers engaged] in every shifting form of trickery in inventing errors to mislead.

15 Rather, let our lives lovingly [c]express truth [in all things, speaking truly, dealing truly, living truly]. Enfolded in love, let us grow up in every way and in all things into Him Who is the Head, [even] Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

16 For because of Him the whole body (the church, in all its various parts), closely joined and firmly knit together by the joints and ligaments with which it is supplied, when each part [with power adapted to its need] is working properly [in all its functions], grows to full maturity, building itself up in love.

So let us know if not interested.

Yours, in HIS great love,  Ken<><  www.Trinity-Aloha.org

LONG VIEW

ALOHA FAMILY & FRIENDS,  Beloved of God,  John 3:16,  12:24-26,  17:20-24

LONG VIEW,    “WORTH CONSIDERING”    8/16/19

LONG VIEW:
I was reviewing a movie the other night on Columbus and his discovery of the Western Hemisphere.  The scene was Columbus showing his son the LONG VIEW of a very tall sailing ship sailing out of sight across the horizon.  At first the ship itself began to disappear and was gone and then the mast looked as though it was sinking into the water.  Not the same as moving away where the whole ship might disappear but like sinking into the ocean.  And yet the whole ship would return at a later date to the harbor.  In this clip Columbus was proving to his son that the earth was in fact, round.

So in really believing in the LONG VIEW (Eternal view) of things how do we know that there is really  a Creator and unlimited time after death for the human soul?  So from a Christian perspective all of those kind of thought have been collected and put in a book called the Holy Bible.

In my quest for answers to those 3 great questions:  Where did I come from,  Why am I here,  And where am I going. I studied the religions of the world and just became more confused until I really started to research the Holy Bible.  Way before anyone knew it to be true the Bible taught that the world was round, hung on nothing and made of particles that were to small to be seen.  Also that the elements could be burned up in a fervent heat.  All of which was accurate and could not be know except by a Creator and shared with someone to write down.

Then I took a look at the hundreds of Messianic prophesies that were in such detail prior to the event that only GOD could have the foreknowledge of such events.  David wrote in Psalm 22 all about Christ Jesus, hundreds of years before the event.  Isaiah also in Isa.53.  Amazing stuff to consider in looking at the LONG VIEW.  But the amazing thing is that Jesus of Nazareth could not make it happen, HE could only allow it to happen as HE saw the LONG VIEW for himself.

And we find these words in the Book of Hebrews,  the writer recording (Paul I feel) as follows:
“Therefore then, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who have borne testimony to the Truth], let us strip off and throw aside every encumbrance (unnecessary weight) and that sin which so readily (deftly and cleverly) clings to and entangles us, and let us run with patient endurance and steady and active persistence the appointed course of the race that is set before us,
Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection]. He, for the joy [of obtaining the prize] that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising and ignoring the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
Just think of Him Who endured from sinners such grievous opposition and bitter hostility against Himself [reckon up and consider it all in comparison with your trials], so that you may not grow weary or exhausted, losing heart and relaxing and fainting in your minds.  Hebrews 12:1-3″  Read several times, let the meaning sink in.

So this intent of this little note is to encourage you to look through your list of stress factors and toss the ones that will not matter from the point of view of eternity or of having eternal values,  “THE LONG VIEW.”  The ones that waste your valuable time on earth… If Christ Jesus is your LORD and HIS KINGDOM is your real home and HE is designing and building a place for you.  And if one day, really soon,  you are going to be moving into a totally furnished new home then how important is the one you are going to be leaving?  And how many of our relationships and friendships are going to hang together after we move?  In fact that has some real motivation behind it so as to leave no one left behind.  How many family members and friends just might not make the jump to light speed when Christ Jesus returns for HIS CHURCH.

“Do not let your hearts be troubled (distressed, agitated). You believe in and adhere to and trust in and rely on God; believe in and adhere to and trust in and rely also on Me.  2 In My Father’s house there are many dwelling places (homes). If it were not so, I would have told you; for I am going away to prepare a place for you.  3 And when (if) I go and make ready a place for you, I will come back again and will take you to Myself, that where I am you may be also. John14:1-3″

BEING HOLY

ALOHA FAMILY & FRIENDS, Beloved of God,  John 3:16

BEING HOLY,   “WORTH CONSIDERING”  8/16/19  (Across my desk this morning.)

The Great Exchange

If you’ve accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, then you are the righteousness of God. That means you are one with Him and an extension of His virtue. You are approved by Him. You are in right standing with Him. You belong to Him.”

Not only did Jesus pay for the punishment for your sins, the Scripture says He actually became sin. He took sin upon Himself and into His being so that you could take God’s righteousness upon yourself and into your being. It’s the great exchange.

Today, don’t let the enemy hold you back by making you feel guilty or condemned. You are not who you used to be; you are the righteousness of God in Christ! First John 1:9 says that if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If there is anything in your life that is holding you back today, confess it to God. Let Him cleanse you and make you new. Remember, He paid a precious price so that you could be His righteousness. Meditate on this truth and let Him set you free!

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for cleansing me and making me new. Thank You for making me the righteousness of God in Christ. Help me to fully understand this so I can walk in the fullness of the blessing You have prepared for me in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

My Thoughts:
This is a valid picture of what GOD is about in the restoration of us to HIS original VISION to make us a Holy People in HIS Image and Likeness.  In Christ Jesus as LORD,  HE takes our sin and removes them from us as far as the east is from the west to be remembered no more.

However, we still have the process to go through of bringing every thought into the captivity of love and mind of Christ Jesus.  We have to retrain our tongue to agree with that of our Creator.  We still have a lot of nasty habits to shed or dump to become like our LORD Jesus.   We are forgiven and made HOLY by God but that also begins the process of sanctification or to make us HOLY.   Some habits are hard to change.  My vocabulary from the Army was a difficult change for me.  Allowing Jesus to be formed in me has been a process that I really want to make but has been slow.   And I need the Holy Spirit all the time to help me through the process.  It is like the Creator wants to restore me to HIS original intent.  And the older I get the easier for me to see it actually happening.  Not an ego thing but a John 12:24-26 dying thingMade possible because of the LORD’s love and vision for us.

24 I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, Unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains [just one grain; it never becomes more but lives] by itself alone. But if it dies, it produces many others and yields a rich harvest.  25 Anyone who loves his life loses it, but anyone who hates his life in this world will keep it to life eternal. [Whoever has no love for, no concern for, no regard for his life here on earth, but despises it, preserves his life forever and ever.]  26 If anyone serves Me, he must continue to follow Me [[a]to cleave steadfastly to Me, conform wholly to My example in living and, if need be, in dying] and wherever I am, there will My servant be also. If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.    A Jesus teaching,  John 12:24-26

It is like an old biology class in watching a bean grow into a plant and make more beans.  My wife has been collecting buckets of bean from her garden lately,  she love to garden.   The little bean finds itself in the dark damp earth and first puts out a root and then pokes a hole to the light and then becomes fertilizer for a whole new plant to grow up into the sun and produce more beans.  We need to die to being a seed in order to become the planting of GOD.  See the parallel.  Most of us want to paint our little seed gold, put it in a picture frame and hang it on the wall for all to see how beautiful we are.  So get the long eternal view of things and change will be much much easier.

LOVE

ALOHA FAMILY AND FRIENDS,  Beloved of God,   John3:16

LOVE      “WORTH CONSIDERING”     8/15/19   (Across my desk this morning)

Today’s Scripture
“We ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love all of you have for one another is increasing.”
(2 Thessalonians 1:3, NIV)
Let Your Love Grow

God’s desire is to see you grow and increase in every area of your life, especially in your love for others. That’s because love is the greatest thing, and it is all that matters in eternity. At the end of the day, at the end of our lives here on earth, love is what will last forever!

Notice this verse tells us that love and faith are connected. It says in another verse that faith works by love. Love isn’t about feelings and emotions; it’s about the choice to treat people the way God tells us to in His Word. We are never more like God than when we are walking in love—when we are being patient and kind; when we are extending grace and mercy and forgiving others the way Christ has forgiven us. The more we know Him, and the more we know His Word, the more we will walk in love.

A Prayer for Today

“Today, I pray that your love will continue to grow and build a solid foundation for your faith. I pray that through your connection with the heavenly Father, you are strengthened in all of your relationships as you move forward into the life of blessing He has for you!”

 My Thoughts:

One time I ask the LORD what HIS definition of LOVE was.   Very quietly in my heart HE said these words,  “Love in the highest good for the other person regardless of personal cost.”  I have thought back about that a lot.  Really hard to measure up to.  In a song we use to sing in the Pilgrims call Charity there was one line that always got my attention, went something like this,  Jesus sings, when love prevales.  Seems that thinking about Jesus singing was somehow and exquisite thought about love.

Of course 1 Cor. 13 is what the Apostle Paul felt to share with the Church and gives us a big banquet of thoughts about love.  John’s little letters also ring so true with GOD is LOVE.  That is why we have freewill.  Love can only exist in freewill.  Without free will, love has no foundation of truth.  So God has put up with the mess that we have made in order for the Elect may find their way into HIS LOVE, Image and Likeness for eternity.  Of course in HIS foreknowledge knew those who would truly come to love and obey HIM before the world was created. But in our dimension in time, every day is an new day.  Today will always the first day of the rest of your life.  So hope you choose wisely,  1 John 1:17 & Rom. 19:9-10

PREDESTINATION 8/15/19

ACROSS MY DESK THIS MORNING,   8/15/19  from a dear minister on the front line.
Reading your notes this morning and we are 90% on the same page but it appears that you feel that GOD’s foreknowledge is limited?  Your Wrote:  “Everyone is born into the earth to fulfill a previously ordained  (predestined) divine purpose. This is confirmed repeatedly in Scripture.”

It appears to me that foreknowledge and predestination go together in the creation. That the Elect are the result of both God's absolute foreknowledge and predestination based on the free will that HE was giving us. FreeWill is absolutely necessary as LOVE can not exist without it. Of course there are two dimensions, 1 Cor.13:9-12, God's Eternal Dimension and our temporary Dimension in Time. So from God's dimension it is a done deal. The architect with the blue prints building the building knowing where every nail will go. But for us, we are working our our salvation and he that endureth to the end shall be saved. There has been a great deal of confusion in the Church on this issue as predestination alone leaves ua feeling like robots and having no responsibility for what we do. "I am what I am for GOD made me this way...." This is a lie of the enemy and very destructive. I am totally responsible for my life in time and GOD does not at all manipulate any my decisions, good or bad. "Who so ever will, may come, and drink of the waters of life freely." Rev.22:24-17. Foreknowledge and Predestination are 2 sides of the same coin. Like knowing what materials are available, designing the building accordingly and now we are into the building of the building. In roughly another 1,000 earth years the building will be completed with a new heaven and a new earth in Love and Righteousness made possible through freewill. The Elect will all be there with their/our Creator and with love and obedience due to their own personal decisions to do so in freewill as supported by God's Grace and of course Christ Jesus. And the former things will then all pass away. Rev.21... (Check out my "Worth Considering" link for more on "Election & Foreknowledge") It appears you have been under Calvinist teachings which totally ignore our temporary time dimension of testing and freewill. The Holy Scriptures are full of conditional "IF" scriptures as well. Rom. 8:13-14 & 29.

GIFTS FROM GOD

ALOHA FAMILY AND FRIENDS,  Beloved of God,  John 3:16

GOOD GIFTS,    “WORTH CONSIDERING”   8/14/19,   (On my desk this morning.)

Today’s Scripture

“Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the LORD will lack no good thing.”
(Psalm 34:10, NLT)
Lack No Good Thing

It’s easy to think, “If I had more money, I could accomplish my dreams. If I had this or that, or knew the right people, then I could do something great.” But as long as you feel like you’re lacking or that you were shortchanged, then you’ll make excuses to be less than your best.”

Today, get a new perspective. God has given you exactly what you need for the season that you’re in. You have the talent, the friends, the connections, the resources, the experience you need for right now. It doesn’t mean that’s all you’re ever going to have. You may need more next month or next year. When that time comes, God will make sure that you have what you need. Because your trust is in the Lord, you don’t have to worry. You lack no good thing.

Remember, you are equipped, empowered and anointed for this moment. You are not lacking. You have what it takes. Rejoice because increase is coming. Promotion is coming. New opportunities are coming. You are ready for whatever may come because you put your faith and trust in Him.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for Your provision in my life. Today I declare that I trust You! You give me everything that I need as I rest and hope in You in Jesus’ name. Amen!”

My Thoughts:
Often God takes the blame for when our flesh and the demons dance together in the deceitfulness of sin and we are damaged.  God’s Word, warns us about this but we neglect to read HIS Word and so end up in the garbage dump and take it out on God.  Actually God only wants the very best for us but has given us a free will.   Only with a free will can we experience real love.  Love for GOD, ourselves and each other.  So GOD can not violate our freewill without manipulating the outcome.  Then we would just be a bunch of robots reflecting our programming.  Not much of a potential family in that concept.  Be like sharing a room with a bunch of parrots.   I found a parakeet in a tree next to where I was living one day,  tame but lost, no way to find the owner.   Named him Benny.  Use to make a mess a lot.  Use to say to him, “Whatcha doing Benny”…  and “Your a Dirty Bird,”  never talked back to me until one morning I was up early studying my Bible and from his covered cage he said,  “Whatcha ya dooen dirty bird… ?”  Most folks think that there is Karma or Predestination.   But NO! we have a very valid free will in our temporary dimension of time and what we sow we reap.  God’s Predestination is based totally upon HIS absolute foreknowledge of what we will do in time with our freewill.  It is like the architect with the blue prints prior to the completion of the building.  So if you will take your Maker’s Manual (Bible) seriously you can live a blessed life if you want one.  And if you don’t want to,  you will learn through painful experiences as did Cain, Samson, David and and many others including yours truly.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.  James 1:17    If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? Matt.7:11.   Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.  Acts 2:38.  For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Rom.6:23

GOD’S LIGHT

ALOHA FAMILY AND FRIENDS, Beloved of God,  John 3:16

GOD’S LIGHT     “WORTH CONSIDERING”   9/13/19   (Across my desk this morning.)

Today’s Scripture
“And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.”  (Genesis 1:3, KJV)

Say What He Says
When God created the worlds, He didn’t just think them into being. He didn’t just believe there would be light and land and oceans and animals. He had it in His heart, but nothing happened until He spoke. He said, “Let there be light,” and light came. His thoughts didn’t set it into motion; His words set it into motion.”

It’s the same principle today. You can believe all day long and not see anything happen. You can have faith in your heart, big dreams, stand on God’s promises and never see anything change. What’s the problem? Nothing happens until you speak God’s Word. Instead of just believing you’re going to get out of debt, you’ve got to say so. Declare every day, “God is my provider. I’m coming out of debt. God is faithful to His Word, and He is faithful to me!”

A Prayer for Today
“Father, I humbly come to You, seeking rest for my heart and mind. I choose to be say what you say. I choose to cast my cares on You. Speak to my heart so I can know You more. Fill me with Your peace as I put my trust in You in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

My Comments:
My first thoughts are that GOD is pure light (total spectrum) and HE wants to make us in HIS Image and Likeness.  But the bug in the ointment is that HE also had to give us freewill in order to be able to love HIM, ourselves and each other.  So from HIS Dimension in Eternity of foreknowledge He knew it would cost HIM the sacrifice of HIS only begotten Son.  Isaiah 53,  Psalms 22. due to Adam’s rebellion and our subsequent sinful nature and the inclusive deceitfulness of sin.  So it was a done deal before even the first small bit of HIS energy was converted into matter.  He even saw me writing this note to you from my desk in my dimension of Time.  I just came in from the back yard where HE spoke to my heart as to how really happy HE was that I was available to HIS Holy Spirit for sharing such on things as HIS LIGHT.  That HE is deeply concerned about how many souls were being lost through the lack of spiritual TRUTH from HIM being made available.   We have been given the stewardship of evangelism.

Then He reminded me to insert verses on light so that you would be informed as to HIS vision for you, if you will allow it.

This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 1 Jn.1:5  so that is where we are headed if we go with Christ Jesus as LORD, Master, Ruler, Our King….

I put a tract together in 1970 concerning light and I am going to give you a copy.  I have them printed for $100. per 1,000.  I am on my 3rd thousand now and love giving them away.  For kids I make them into paper airplanes that fly pretty good.  I use paper that looks like parchment.

Let There Be Light

And God said, let there be light and there was light: (1).   Arise, shine: for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee (2).    Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead and Christ shall give thee light (3). This is the message which we have heard and declare unto you, that God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all (4).   He that doeth the truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God  (5).   If we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin (6). This is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil (7).   For everyone that doeth evil hateth the light neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved (8). But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light (9).  Thy Light shall break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the Lord shall be thy reward (10).  Ye are the light of the world.  A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. (11).  The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light (12).  The city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the Light thereof (13).  And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever (14).

The unclean shall not pass over it, but it shall be for the redeemed; the wayfaring men, yes, the simple ones and fools, shall not err in it and lose their way.  Isaiah 44:23 Sing, O heavens, for the Lord has done it; shout, you depths of the earth; break forth into singing, you mountains, O forest and every tree in it! For the Lord has redeemed Jacob, and He glorifies Himself in Israel.  Isaiah 51:11 [The Lord God says] And the redeemed of the Lord shall return and come with singing to Zion; everlasting joy shall be upon their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.  Isaiah 52:7-8 How beautiful upon the mountains Are the feet of him who brings good news, Who proclaims peace, Who brings glad tidings of good things, Who proclaims salvation, Who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!” Your watchmen shall lift up their voices, With their voices they shall sing together; For they shall see eye to eye When the Lord brings back Zion.

Matthew 24:14 And this good news of the kingdom (the Gospel) will be preached throughout the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then will come the end.  19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.  Matt.28:19-20.

Mark 1:15 And saying, The [appointed period of] time is fulfilled (completed), and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent (have a change of mind which issues in regret for past sins and in change of conduct for the better) and believe (trust in, rely on, and adhere to) the good news (the Gospel).  Mark 16:16 He who believes [who adheres to and trusts in and relies on the Gospel and Him Whom it sets forth] and is baptized will be saved [from the penalty of eternal death]; but he who does not believe [who does not adhere to and trust in and rely on the Gospel and Him Whom it sets forth] will be condemned.

John 17: 20,   Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;  21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.  22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:

Acts 5:42 Yet [in spite of the threats] they never ceased for a single day, both in the temple area and at home, to teach and to proclaim the good news (Gospel) of Jesus [as] the Christ (the Messiah).  Acts 8:25 Now when [the apostles] had borne their testimony and preached the message of the Lord, they went back to Jerusalem, proclaiming the glad tidings (Gospel) to many villages of the Samaritans [on the way].  Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the Gospel (good news) of Christ, for it is God’s power working unto salvation [for deliverance from eternal death] to everyone who believes with a personal trust and a confident surrender and firm reliance, to the Jew first and also to the Greek,

2 Corinthians 4:7 However, we possess this precious treasure [the divine Light of the Gospel] in [frail, human] vessels of earth, that the grandeur and exceeding greatness of the power may be shown to be from God and not from ourselves.  2 Corinthians 9:13 Because at [your] standing of the test of this ministry, they will glorify God for your loyalty and obedience to the Gospel of Christ which you confess, as well as for your generous-hearted liberality to them and to all [the other needy ones].

Philippians 1:5 [I thank my God] for your fellowship (your sympathetic cooperation and contributions and partnership) in advancing the good news (the Gospel) from the first day [you heard it] until now.  Philippians 1:27 Only be sure as citizens so to conduct yourselves [that] your manner of life [will be] worthy of the good news (the Gospel) of Christ, so that whether I [do] come and see you or am absent, I may hear this of you: that you are standing firm in united spirit and purpose, striving side by side and contending with a single mind for the faith of the glad tidings (the Gospel).  Philippians 4:3 And I exhort you too, [my] genuine yokefellow, help these [two women to keep on cooperating], for they have toiled along with me in [the spreading of] the good news (the Gospel), as have Clement and the rest of my fellow workers whose names are in the Book of Life.

2 Timothy 1:8 Do not blush or be ashamed then, to testify to and for our Lord, nor of me, a prisoner for His sake, but [with me] take your share of the suffering [to which the preaching] of the Gospel [may expose you, and do it] in the power of God.

1 John 2:4 Whoever says, I know Him [I perceive, recognize, understand, and am acquainted with Him] but fails to keep and obey His commandments (teachings) is a liar, and the Truth [of the Gospel] is not in him.

Rev. 14:6 Then I saw another messinger flying in midair, with an eternal Gospel (good news) to tell to the inhabitants of the earth, to every race and tribe and language and people.  7 And he cried with a mighty voice, Revere God and give Him glory (honor and praise in worship), for the hour of His judgment has arrived. Fall down before Him; pay Him homage and adoration and worship Him Who created heaven and earth, the sea and the springs (fountains) of water.

So who is responsible for telling the lost world that they need to repent and receive Christ Jesus as LORD to be saved.  Saved from the awesome eternal darkness that is to come for those who do not?  The Gospel is the Good News that we all can share with the world is that their ticket has been paid and they can go on living in God’s Holy Light in Righteousness if they want to.  There are many many ways in which to do this.  Some are better than others at sharing but those sharing may also need assistance and prayer support or perhaps you need to learn how to share your faith?  Out on the front lines of Evangelism there is always persecution.   No persecution, then something is wrong.

Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.  2 Tim.3:12

In the 4th century lived a Christian named Telemachus, in a remote village, tending his garden, and spending much time in prayer. One day, he believed he heard the voice of God telling him to go to Rome, so he obeyed, setting out on foot. Some weeks later, weary from his journey, he arrived in Rome about the time of a great festival. The little man followed the crowd surging through the streets into the Colosseum. He saw the gladiators standing before the Emperor and proclaiming, “We who are about to die salute you.” Then Telemachus realized that these men were going to fight to the death for the entertainment of the cheering crowd. So he cried out in a loud voice, “In the name of Christ, Stop!” Yet the games began, so he pushed his way through the crowd, climbed over the wall and dropped onto the floor of the arena. The entire Colosseum watched this tiny figure rushing toward the gladiators, crying, “In the name of Christ, STOP !!!” The gladiators thought it was part of the show and began laughing. But in a few moments, they realized it was not part of the show, and then the crowd became angry. Telemachus stood his ground, insistently pleading with the gladiators to stop their bloody show, when one of them plunged a sword into the saint’s body. He fell to the sand. As he was dying, his last words were, “In the name of Christ, STOP!!!”

Then a strange thing happened. The gladiators stood there looking at the tiny Christian lying there dead. A hush fell over the Colosseum. Way up in the upper rows, a man stood and made his way to the exit. Others followed. In dead silence, one by one, everyone left the Colosseum. The year was 404; and that day saw the last battle to the death between gladiators in the Roman Colosseum. Telemachus’ martyrdom initiated an historic ban on gladiator fights by the Roman Emperor Honorius. Never again in the great stadium did men kill each other for the entertainment of the crowd. One tiny man’s bold voice — one voice — reshaped Roman history, and saved thousands of lives, by fearlessly proclaiming the truth in God’s name!

WORDS

Words:

A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:  Prov.1:5.  But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. Matt.12:36.  Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:  James 1:19…

Our little personal world of self is filled with words about ourselves.  We are happy when those around us give us praise and unhappy when they don’t.   We use many words to establish our little kingdoms of what ever they might be.  Words to manipulate and subdue.  Words to reject.  Out of our stress and frustrations we verbally shred those that we sometimes love the most.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.  Prov. 18:21.
James shares this with us:  5 Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!  6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.  Peter shares this with us:  For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: 1 Pet. 3:10.  John records that in heaven HIS Church will be singing:  And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; Rev.5:9

So when will we really begin to listen to what Christ Jesus teaches on the subject.   Christ Jesus is now the Eternal Word of God for all eternity.  HE is LORD…  But most treat HIS love for us and commandments like yesterday’s newspaper.  He did not present HIS commandments like MOSES but in grace and love and with an invitation to come into HIS KINGDOM out of the cold rain of the world and to get dry and warm by HIS fire.  Of course we all have a freewill that was bashed up by Adam in the fall.  But even by the creation we know that the Creator is there.

So let’s start on just a few of HIS COMMANDMENTS:  A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.  By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.  John 12:34-35 & 1 Cor.13.

Master, which is the great commandment in the law?  37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.  38 This is the first and great commandment.  39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.  40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.  Matt.22:36-40

So Jesus taught:  If ye love me, keep my commandments. Jn.14:15.   He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. Jn.14:21.  If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.  Jn.15:10.

So what are HIS COMMANDMENTS besides loving GOD first in all things and our treating our neighbor as we treat ourselves.

First off Jesus supported 9 of the 10 commandments in his ministry, HE left out the Sabbath.  The Sabbath Rest was fulfilled in the Holy Spirit’s ministry on Pentecost of entering into HIS rest as in Hebrews 4 as being now able to walk in the Spirit.

In Matt.28:19-20, Christ Jesus commands HIS church to share HIS message: “19 Go then and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them [a]into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  20 Teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you, and behold, I am with you [b]all the days ([c]perpetually, uniformly, and on every occasion), to the [very] close and consummation of the age. [d]Amen (so let it be).” AMPC.  and we know this was to every member to do because of the LORD’s Prayer in John 17:20 Neither for these alone do I pray [it is not for their sake only that I make this request], but also for all those who will ever come to believe in (trust in, cling to, rely on) Me through their word and teaching,   21 That they all may be one, [just] as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be one in Us, so that the world may believe and be convinced that You have sent Me.  22 I have given to them the glory and honor which You have given Me, that they may be one [even] as We are one:  23 I in them and You in Me, in order that they may become one and perfectly united, that the world may know and [definitely] recognize that You sent Me and that You have loved them [even] as You have loved Me.

And in this prayer our LORD also commanded for there to be a oneness of perfect unity so that HE could be seen through HIS CHURCH by the world.  Love allows two points of view to become one in the Truth of God due to love and humility.  Pride causes division.  To agree to disagree is destructive to the Truth of God and the Power of HIS CHURCH.  Paul teaches on it this way.   And His gifts were [varied; He Himself appointed and gave men to us] some to be apostles (special messengers), some prophets (inspired preachers and expounders), some evangelists (preachers of the Gospel, traveling missionaries), some pastors (shepherds of His flock) and teachers.  12 His intention was the perfecting and the full equipping of the saints (His consecrated people), [that they should do] the work of ministering toward building up Christ’s body (the church),  13 [That it might develop] until we all attain oneness in the faith and in the comprehension of the [[a]full and accurate] knowledge of the Son of God, that [we might arrive] at really mature manhood (the completeness of personality which is nothing less than the standard height of Christ’s own perfection), the measure of the stature of the fullness of the Christ and the completeness found in Him. Eph.4:11-16.  Amplified.

SALVATION OF COURSE IS BY AND THROUGH FAITH ALONE IN THE FINISHED WORK OF CHRIST JESUS ON THE CROSS.  BUT THEN AS A CHRISTIAN THERE IS THE PROCESS OF OBEDIENCE AND SANCTIFICATION OR TO MAKE HOLY.  THE LORD CALLED IT PRUNING.

THERE IS BUT ONE CHURCH OF CHRIST JESUS AND ALL WHO LOVE AND OBEY HIM ARE MEMBERS.

Yours, in HIS great love and wonderful grace and mercy,  Ken<><    www.Trinity-Aloha.org
