COMMANDMENTS OF CHRIST JESUS,    “WORTH CONSIDERING”
  6/30/19  (Across my desk)

Today’s Scripture
“I made haste, and did not delay to keep Your commandments.”(Psalm 119:60, NKJV)

Don’t Delay
Isn’t it interesting how easy it is to put things off? We plan on doing something. We have good intentions. We just plan to do it later. “One day I’m going to start exercising. One day I’m going to get my finances in order. One day I’m going to forgive that person who hurt me.” The problem with this kind of thinking is that “one day” never comes. There will always be some reason to keep delaying it. Is there something in your heart that you know you need to do? Maybe God has been dealing with you, and you keep putting it off. You think, “As soon as I get through this busy season, I’ll spend more time with my family.  As soon as my child gets out of diapers, I’m going to get my family back in church.” But friend, good intentions don’t equal obedience. The quicker you do what you feel down in your spirit, the happier you’re going to be. Don’t let unfinished business keep you from God’s best. Step out. Obey His voice and walk in the blessing He has for you!

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for Your patience and grace toward me. Search my heart. Show me the way to go. I choose to obey Your voice quickly and honor You in all that I do in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

My Thoughts:
When we were born of the seed of Adam, we inherited a dark side that is self centered.  Put two babies in one crib and see what happens with one bottle of milk.  They don’t happily each share a half bottle of milk.  We put it in nice words called, ” Self Preservation.”    But with God love is demonstrated by sacrifice and giving even at times out of needs.  So actually it is the Commandments of Christ Jesus and the teachings in the New Testament that help us to know what is of our Adamic flesh nature and what is GOD’S nature.  Then it is up to us with the use of our Free Will as to heading into the light or the darkness for eternity.  Rom. 7 & 8 is a good teaching on this.

So Christ Jesus starts with reaffirming 9 of the 10 commandments leaving out the Sabbath as being fulfilled as we learn to walk in the Holy Spirit,  Rom.14:5-6 & Heb. 4:1-12.  So what are the Commandments of Christ Jesus for HIS Church.  I can only list a few here as the New Testament is full of them.  So lets start with Matt. 28:19-20 known as the Great Commission:  19 Go then and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them [a]into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,   20 Teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you, and behold, I am with you [b]all the days ([c]perpetually, uniformly, and on every occasion), to the [very] close and consummation of the age. [d]Amen (so let it be).   S

Some have bailed on this saying this was said to the Apostles, but that does not float as Jesus tells us to keep doing it till it is all over and does the same in John 17:20.  That we as Christians are responsible for getting out the message on every thing that HE taught.  We are commanded to make disciples not church members.
A disciple can introduce a soul to Christ Jesus and teach them to become a disciple to also reproduce.  We are created in Christ Jesus to reproduce spiritually.  Have you every helped another soul find Jesus?  Did you help them learn to reproduce in kind?  Don’t know how?  Time to learn,  it is a Commandment.

Then of course there is the remolding of our Character to become like that of Christ Jesus as per 1 John 4:17-21 that can cover a lot of other changes that we need to go through:  17 In this [union and communion with Jesus] love is brought to completion and attains perfection with us, that we may have confidence for the day of judgment [with assurance and boldness to face Him], because as He is, so are we in this world.  18 There is no fear in love [dread does not exist], but full-grown (complete, perfect) love [a]turns fear out of doors and expels every trace of terror! For fear [b]brings with it the thought of punishment, and [so] he who is afraid has not reached the full maturity of love [is not yet grown into love’s complete perfection].  19 We love Him, because He first loved us.  20 If anyone says, I love God, and hates (detests, abominates) his brother [[c]in Christ], he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, Whom he has not seen.21 And this command (charge, order, injunction) we have from Him: that he who loves God shall love his brother [[d]believer] also.

So as you pray/study/read your New Testament start making a list of the LORD’s Commandments if you LOVE HIM.  I am still working on this as well with room for more good changes.
Yours, in HIS great love and wonderful Grace and mercy,   Ken<><   www.Trinity-Aloha.org

“THERE IS BUT ONE CHURCH OF CHRIST JESUS AND ALL WHO LOVE AND OBEY HIM ARE MEMBERS.”

RAVENHILL QUOTES

Aloha Church, This year is just about 1/2 over, Now headed the next 6 months into 2020. Christmas just around the corner, the ways of this year are moving on. Lots of family and folks that we know still don't know Christ Jesus as LORD. If they don't find HIM, their final destiny will not be good. You may just have to leave your comfort zone and learn how to share the LORD. And you just might be persecuted for it. That comes with the turf of being a Real Christian. Tonight at our House Church in Kealia we will be covering the three chapters of 1 Cor. 12 - 13 - 14, concerning how the Lord's Church is supposed to look like. If you have the time please read then bring your questions. It will make our time together more effective. It is like a Holy Spirit Sandwich with chapter 13 being the meat. Apostle Paul give us a very clear picture of what a Church in the Holy Spirit looks like. Be Blessed in your day, Ken<>< "There is but one Church of Christ Jesus and all who love and Obey HIM are members." LEONARD RAVENHILL QUOTES 6/28/19 "The greatest tragedy is a sick church in a dying world." "Not many Christians today can forget the fact that the devil goeth about as a roaring lion, but we seem to have lost sight of the fact that the Lion of the tribe of Judah has defeated the roaring lion of hell, and therefore every anointed Samson or Gideon or church can also slay the lion of hell. Though wicked men are doing wickedly, God's promise to us is that "the people that do know their God shall be strong and do exploits" (Daniel 11:32)." "The world is not waiting for a new definition of the Holy Ghost but a new demonstration of the Holy Ghost." If I am filled with the Holy Spirit the same things that grieve the Holy Spirit will grieve my spirit. "A popular evangelist reaches your emotions. A true prophet reaches your conscience." "The last words of Jesus to the church (in Revelation) were - Repent!'" "A true shepherd leads the way. He does not merely point the way." "Our God is a consuming fire. He consumes pride, lust, materialism, and other sin." "There are only two kinds of persons: those dead in sin and those dead to sin." "The Bible is either absolute, or it's obsolete." "Why do we expect to be better treated in this world than Jesus was?"

PROVISION

ALOHA FAMILY AND FRIENDS,  Beloved of God

PROVISION,    “WORTH CONSIDERING”
     6/28/19     (Across my desk today.)

Today’s Scripture
“…the appetite of the diligent is abundantly supplied.”  (Proverbs 13:4, AMPC)

The Reward of Diligence
God longs to pour out His favor and blessing on you. He longs to show you His goodness and provision. He promises to do His part, but you have to do your part. You have to be diligent. First of all, be diligent in seeking His ways and following His commands. Then, be diligent with what you have in your hand, with your time and resources. In Matthew 25, Jesus tells a parable about three men whose employer entrusted them with some money called talents. Two of the men were diligent and invested the talents and received a great return. The third man was afraid and buried what he was given. The first two men were rewarded and praised for their diligence while the third man was rebuked. Follow the example of the first two men and look for ways to be diligent with what you have in your hand. Whatever you do, do it with excellence. Be the best you can be and go the extra mile even when you think it goes unnoticed. Understand that when people don’t notice, God notices and promises to reward the appetite of the diligent.

A Prayer for Today
“Heavenly Father, thank You for Your favor and blessing on my life. Today I choose to be diligent. I choose to live in excellence and do everything to the best of my ability. I give You all the glory in Jesus name. Amen.”

My Thoughts:
Except for when choosing not to eat, My Heavenly Father has always provided.  And except for the Army I have always been warm, dry and safe at night.  Just like HE promised:  Phil. 4:18-20
“ But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God.19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.20 Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.”

My Great Grandfather was a Kentucky farmer but had a great deal of faith in God.  He owned, a 100 acre dry hillbilly farm which had to have rain at the proper times to yield a crop.  But in growing up on the farm during the Great Depression there was never any lack at all.  Never ever went to bed hungry.  On our front gate posts was written in big stone lettering, “In God We Trust” one one side and “Frank A. Peffer” on the other.  He never went into debt.  He did not trust paper money or banks and had his savings in coins in an old safe on the farm when the depression hit and the Banks closed in 1932.   Several times I have been broke when young, by being stupid and lost everything.   But even then,  I was always able to feed my family of 9.  Our Heavenly Father is really good about this unless we are really stupid with expensive flesh desires, gambling,  cars,  toys,  drugs or such.  Credit Card debt, can really drain you dry.

So if you are financially having a difficult time it would be good to take inventory as to the difference between needs and wants, and on buying now and paying later or living within your means.  And of course, to be thankful for even being alive and having the wonderful opportunity to learn to join with our Creator for all of Eternity.

Yours, in HIS great love and wonderful grace and mercy,   Ken<><   www.Trinity-Aloha.org

WORDS

ALOHA FAMILY AND FRIENDS,  Beloved of God,  John 3:16,  12:24-26,  17:20-26,  Eph.4:11-16

WORDS,    “WORTH CONSIDERING”   6/27/   (Across my desk today.)

Today’s Scripture
“Let no foul or polluting language…come out of your mouth.”  (Ephesians 4:29, AMPC)

God Is On Your Side
Your words have the power to pollute or purify. If you constantly complain, you release poison into your life. Complaining is not based on your circumstances, it’s based on the attitude of your heart. If you will keep the right attitude during your time of adversity, God will honor you. When you truly trust God, there are times you will have unanswered questions—don’t let that keep you from fulfilling your destiny. When you have a heart full of gratitude, it leaves no room for complaining. You can always find something to thank God for no matter what kind of adversity you may face in life. So decide today to live a life of thanksgiving! Don’t allow the poison of complaining prevent you from receiving all God has for you!

A Prayer for Today
“God, I believe in the power of the spoken word. When I am tempted to complain or speak negative words today, I will listen to that quiet voice inside me that tells me to hold them back. I will spend a quiet minute meditating on what I have to be thankful for and adjust my attitude so my words today reflect my joy. In Jesus’ name – Amen.”

My Thoughts:
When first considering the 10 Commandments of God,  I thought that to not use the name of the LORD in vain meant profanity?  Later I found out it meant to not say what HE did not say.  To not use HIS authority to manipulate others to have your point of view received as HIS TRUTH.  Well meaning folks do that to me all the time…  When it is their flesh saying GOD said this and GOD said that when HE is not even in the room.  Or to tell me,  “I prayed about it” as if GOD always agrees with them.

Of course profanity is sin,  Jesus said so.   When I was in the Army, fully half of my vocabulary was profanity.  It was difficult to sit down with my mother on leave for dinner without turning the air blue.  So I put a nail in my tongue when I became a Christian concerning profanity.  But it was still buzzing around in my mind.  But in 1968 I was baptized in the Holy Spirit and that deeply changed a lot of things.  One day I was running by my T-340 bulldozer and hit the tread squire in the center of my right knee cap,  what a shot of pain that was as I exclamated “Praise The Lord” followed with “Thank You Jesus” and the pain suddenly left and I stopped in total amazement about what had just happened.   It has been great to walk without that junk in my heart any more,  Praise The Lord.

But the use of the LORD’s name or position to manipulate takes some real concentration.  Often I have to check my thoughts in counseling as to whether it is me or the LORD that is speaking through me.  As I am really careful to only say,  “GOD said it” when HE really did.  The Big Ten are still on the wall in the N.T.  One of the verses in scripture that I refer to a lot:

Proverbs 18:20-22 King James Version (KJV)20 A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Proverbs 21:23   Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.

Proverbs 15:4  A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.

Proverbs 6:16-19 King James Version (KJV) 16 These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

For those of you who live in Kona, Tomorrow evening we will be having a New Testament House Church gathering, pot blessing at 6 PM  at  85-4554 Mamalahoa Hwy.  So. Capt. Cook.  questions:  Ken@Trinity-Aloha.org   Come in faith and be blessed.  Yours in HIS great love,  Ken<><

ALSO WORTH THE TIME TO CONSIDER:

A MIGHTY REMNANT by David Wilkerson There is wonderful news for every Christian who is discouraged by the apathy and godlessness in this nation. Regardless of how wicked and corrupt this society becomes and how many Christians compromise and fall into sin, God still has a mighty remnant of holy, separated followers. Christians may be deceived into thinking that Satan is winning the battle for the saints, and that the predicted "falling away" has touched all of God´s people. The Bible does predict that in the last days many will be turned aside; men will love pleasure more than God; the love of many shall grow cold; evil men and seducers will grow worse and worse; and Satan will declare war on the saints of the Most High. It is also true that Satan is now going about as a roaring lion, with great wrath, seeking victims to devour. The enemies of God are going all-out in an attempt to deceive and seduce every true follower of Christ. But the truth is that not all of God´s people are falling away! Not at all - and the Holy Spirit has a glorious and encouraging word for his Church. God is right now raising up a multitude of sanctified saints who are standing against the idolatry of this age. They are so filled with love for Christ that they are ready and willing to be persecuted for their faith and devotion. The call of Jesus is to be thoughtful and clear-headed. Paul told Titus, "Exhort the young men to be sober-minded" (Titus 2:6). And Peter admonished the Christians, "Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit" (1 Peter 1:13, NASB). As materialism eats away at our spiritual life and compromise erodes our standards, Christians are called to get deadly serious about the things of Jesus. Peter further said, "Be serious and watchful in your prayers" (1 Peter 4:7). Jesus does not want you to go around with a long face or a lack of humor. But he wants you to live like people who are soon to leave this earth - to be with him!

DELIVERANCE

ALOHA FAMILY AND FRIENDS,  Beloved of God,   John 3:16

DELIVERANCE,    “WORTH CONSIDERING”    (Across my desk today.)

Today’s Scripture
“And in an instant, suddenly, you shall be visited and delivered by the Lord of hosts…”  (Isaiah 29:5–6, AMPC)

God Is On Your Side
Throughout the Bible, we have examples of how God suddenly showed Himself strong on behalf of His people. But sometimes when we’ve struggled in an area for a long time, it’s easy to just give up and accept things the way they are. One of the enemy’s favorite lies is to tell you that nothing is ever going to change. He’ll tell you that you’re never going to get well, that your marriage isn’t going to work out, that you’re never going to break that addiction. But it doesn’t matter how long you’ve been in those circumstances, God can change things in an instant! In a split second of time, He can turn it all around. One touch of God’s power can heal your body. One touch of His favor can promote you. One touch of His goodness can solve that problem. Just one touch from Almighty God can instantly change your life.

I encourage you today, keep believing, keep standing, and keep hoping. Don’t let the enemy drag your thoughts down because God is working behind the scenes. Your time is coming, and I declare that your breakthrough is going to happen suddenly—in an instant!

A Prayer for Today
“Father in heaven, I choose to trust that You are working things out for my good. I choose to stand in faith, believing that my season of breakthrough is coming. Give me Your strength and peace as I patiently wait on You in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

My Thoughts,
Of course my first thought was,  YES,  I Like That Concept.   Of course the bottom line question is:   Am I , for sure on my growing edge and on HIS side?   Usually,  Deliverance comes as we are at a total loss as to what to do or what to say and teetering on the edge of a mossy dam.   When I was a kid we use to swim at the fish hatchery on Elkhorn Creek and there was just such a cement dam covered with green very slippery moss.  And every once in a while some one would go over into the rocks about 10′ below and get banged up.  And the creek was also full of copper head snakes that we would need to watch out for.  Love to catch little turtles there with the rainbow shell on their tummy.   But walking across that dam was a stressful experience.  And our lives are full of that kind of stuff almost every day.  And on those times that we seem to be headed over the dam,  some how, if we have faith, we find our balance in the LORD and are delivered.  Obvious, best to stay away from such places.  But sometimes they come knocking at our door with no invitation at all.  So best to be on our growing edge and keep our faith level high and maxed out.

Also there is a strong unity of the faith in the bond of peace when folks come together.   There is a special synergy of God’s power that is available that is greater than the sum of the parts.  It is like Jesus is with us in a very special way in power to help folks get set free.   So we need to get together where that kind of  unified faith is possible.  Paul teaches about it very clearly to Timothy in 2 Tim.3:5,  so if interested, get out your Bible and again read 2 Timothy chapter 3 and especially verse 5.  “One shall put a 1,000 to flight and  2 shall put 10,000 to flight….”   We need to gather at least once a week where folks believe in the supernatural presence and deliverance of God.   And that HE want’s us to be a whole and healthy people full of the Holy Spirit,  today even as yesterday.   His love and ministry to and for us,  never changes.

Yours, in HIS great love and wonderful grace and mercy,   Ken<><   www.Trinity-Aloha.org

GOD IS FOR US

ALOHA FRIENDS AND FAMILY, Beloved of God

GOD IS FOR US,      “WORTH CONSIDERING”   (Across my desk this morning.)

Today’s Scripture
“…If God is for us, who can be against us?”  (Romans 8:31, NIV)
God Is On Your Side

As a believer in Jesus and a child of His, God is on your side! If you haven’t thought about it yet today, remember, you are created for greatness. There is no obstacle that can stop you. There is no disadvantage that can hold you back. You’re in the palms of God’s hands, and He has equipped and empowered you. Quit telling yourself, “I’ll always struggle in this area. I’ll never lose this weight. I’ll never get out of debt.” Change your perspective. You are not weak, defeated or inferior. You are full of “can do” power. The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives on the inside of you.

God is on your side. Let that sink down into your heart today. Begin to expect His favor. Expect Him to work in your life. Focus on the fact that God has equipped you. He has anointed you. Your best days are still out in front of you! If God is for you, no one can rise against you! As you meditate on this promise, it will become real to you. You will walk in the favor and victory of God!

A Prayer for Today
“Heavenly Father, thank You for being on my side today. Thank You for equipping and empowering me to accomplish everything You’ve called me to. Give me a deeper revelation of Your love for me today so that I can live the abundant life You have prepared for me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen”

My Thoughts:
This is great,  but if you read the whole chapter of Romans 8,  Paul teaches that we also have to choose to be on the side of Christ Jesus in all that we do.   It is not enough to get a Baptismal Paper from your church or think that you are a good person, so all is well.   It is imperative that you truly love Jesus and keep HIS commandments.  Our past sins are forgiven by GOD,  The Almighty when we make Jesus our LORD and receive HIM as our Savior.  That HE took our sins upon Himself as per Isaiah 53 and paid our penalty for us.

Then as a Believer,  walking in the Holy Spirit, we can expect Him to guide and protect us.  But there are so many voices in this world to try to know which is HIS, which is ours and which is the lying enemy.  A person who smokes hears the voice of the enemy clearly with it’s demands in their heart,  “I want a cigarette!”  When they are desperately trying to quit.  The enemy knows that it can shorten a life by about 5 years if it can keep one smoking.  So how do we tell when the voice is GOD and when it is not and rebuke it in Jesus name?  First of all,  GOD never contradicts what HE has given us a Truth through HIS Prophets.  So if you know the WORD OF GOD that is an exceptional filter for HIS voice.   Also is it really loving to God, Yourself and Others.  Is the voice concerned about your eternal destiny and that of others?

The Word of God teaches us that we are on earth for a very short period of testing to give us the opportunity to choose light rather than the darkness we were born into.  So does the voice seek to bring us into more darkness or more light?  The Creator’s ultimate intention is to help us become like Christ Jesus.  But we need to sign on and want to go that way before HE can help us.  Our free will must be activated to seek the light and God’s Love and then He will extend Grace and Mercy to help us.  He is in the process of creating souls to be in HIS Image and likeness and become a part of HIS eternal family if we are up for it.  If not, we will experience the opposite in eternity as per our choice.  He will allow us to remain in the darkness that we have chosen as each of us is an eternal soul.  He totally honors the free will that we experience in this dimension of time.  He will not violate that freewill for it is the part of us that also can learn to LOVE.

So knowing how to hear the GOD voice of the Holy Spirit in our heart is most important.  Don’t leave planet earth without knowing it.  Abraham is a prime example of getting to really hear the voice of GOD.  Heb. 11

Yours, in HIS great LOVE and wonderful grace and mercy,   Ken<><    www.Trinity-Aloha.org

RENEWAL

ALOHA FAMILY AND FRIENDS,  Beloved of God,   John 3:16

“WORTH CONSIDERING,”       RENEWAL
        6/22/19    (Across my desk.)

Today’s Scripture
“You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace…”  (Isaiah 55:12, NIV)

Living With Enthusiasm
The word “enthusiasm” comes from the Greek word “entheos.” “Theos” is God. When you’re enthusiastic, it simply means you are full of God. When you get up in the morning excited about your future, recognizing that day is a gift and go out with a spring in your step, pursuing your goals and passionate about life, then God will breathe in your direction. Studies tell us that people who are enthusiastic get better breaks. They’re promoted more often. That’s not a coincidence. When you’re full of passion, you have the favor of God.

Remember, God didn’t breathe His life into us to drag through the day. He didn’t create us in His image, crown us with His favor, and equip us with His power to just go through the motions of life. You may have had some setbacks, the wind may have been taken out of your sail, but this is a new day! God wants to breathe new life back into you. If you’ll get your fire back, get your passion back, the wind will start blowing once again. When you’re in agreement with God, He can cause the winds of favor to shift in your direction!

A Prayer for Today
“Heavenly Father, thank You for another sunrise, another day, another opportunity to praise You and pursue the dreams You’ve given me. Help me to stay filled with Your joy which is strength so I can serve You with my whole heart in everything that I do in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

My Thoughts:
Last night,  we had another productive House Church gathering of about a doz. saints.  And a great testimony was given by one of the members concerning the difference in their life as to being baptized in the Holy Spirit.   Another did not believe him as he was quoting the thoughts of one of the different churches that he attends.  This guy giving the testimony had so much new enthusiasm and so much renewal that he was not about to back down.   So we had two heavy duty Hawaiians,  lovingly,  dukeing it out but trying to be lovingly nice.   The time was rather electrified,  the “Pot Blessing” was also really great.   And now perhaps I need to spend some time on the Biblical position next week for the “Gifts of the Spirit” ( 1 Cor. 12:1-11) that come with the empowering of the Holy Spirit.

So thought that I would just list the Biblical verses on the subject and ask for your thoughts.

Peter quoted Joel 2:28 on Pentecost  :28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:  29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.

I like to include as it demonstrates how powerful unity is:  Gen. 11:
And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.  6 And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.  7 Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech. So the Lord scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.     (So we don’t want to be divide concerning the power of the Holy Spirit.)

1 Cor. 14:1-5,  Eagerly pursue and seek to acquire [this] love [make it your aim, your great quest]; and earnestly desire and cultivate the spiritual endowments (gifts), especially that you may prophesy ([a]interpret the divine will and purpose in inspired preaching and teaching).  For one who speaks in an [unknown] tongue speaks not to men but to God, for no one understands or catches his meaning, because in the [Holy] Spirit he utters secret truths and hidden things [not obvious to the understanding].  But [on the other hand], the one who prophesies [who [b]interprets the divine will and purpose in inspired preaching and teaching] speaks to men for their upbuilding and constructive spiritual progress and encouragement and consolation.  He who speaks in a [strange] tongue edifies and improves himself, but he who prophesies [[c]interpreting the divine will and purpose and teaching with inspiration] edifies and improves the church and promotes growth [in Christian wisdom, piety, holiness, and happiness].  Now I wish that you might all speak in [unknown] tongues, but more especially [I want you] to prophesy (to be inspired to preach and interpret the divine will and purpose). He who prophesies [who is inspired to preach and teach] is greater (more useful and more important) than he who speaks in [unknown] tongues, unless he should interpret [what he says], so that the church may be edified and receive good [from it].  AMPC (Amplified)

And he asked them, Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed [on Jesus as the Christ]? And they said, No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.

So in this study we see that one can be Baptized into the Holy Spirit at the same time as being Born from Above.   But personally,  I have not found this to be true today, very often, due to a lack of obedience.    And this is the reason that most of Christianity is powerless.  Most of the time, as John Wesley said, there is a need for this 2nd work of Grace.

Luke 11:9-13 is the key for this empowering to happen along with obedience,  Acts 5:32  &  Hebrews 5:9

UNIQUE,   “WORTH CONSIDERING”
  (Across my desk yesterday.)

Today’s Scripture
“I care very little if I am judged by you or by any human court; indeed, I do not even judge myself.”  (1 Corinthians 4:3, NIV)

God Loves Your Uniqueness!
Many people are insecure about who they are, so they constantly try to gain the approval of everybody around them so they can feel better about themselves. They end up living to please other people, trying to fit into their molds so they can be accepted. They act one way for their boss, another way for their spouse, and another way for their friends.

If you are going to enjoy your life to the full, you must learn to be confident as the individual God made you to be. You are anointed to be the person God has called you to be! If you are secure in who God made you, you can resist those outside demands and pressures that try to mold you into something you’re not. Don’t rely on the opinions and approval of others. Don’t let them steal your unique creativity. God made each of us with a different purpose. As you continue to grow in your relationship with the Lord, through prayer, worship and fellowship, you will gain confidence in the Lord that will free you from the opinions of man and allow you to be who God called you to be!

A Prayer for Today
“God, I want to live for your approval alone. I need to feel your strength when I feel tempted to change who I am to conform to this world. Please help me to remember that You love me just the way I am! In Jesus’ name – Amen.”

My Thoughts:
On the LORD’s land in which my wife and I live we have an abundance of stones.  Stone walls on four sides,  stone wall across in the middle and stones holding up raised garden beds.  In fact there were so many stones on this property that I gave away 90 cubic yards and am still giving stones away as needed.  And yet not one stone is like another in the whole world.  Every stone is unique.   When Apostle Paul was teaching about building the Church of Christ Jesus in Eph.4:11-16 in the King James he mentions “Living Stones” which is now the name of a church community in Kona.   In primitive times in South America the stone walls looked like this:
Image result for stone walls south america
https://www.google.com/search?q=stone+walls+south+america&rlz=1C1CHBD_enUS722US722&oq=stone+walls+south+america&aqs=chrome..69i57.11385j0j8&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

And it is an exceptional example of what Paul was teaching about for the building of the Church of Christ Jesus.  We, even today, with modern equipment can not build a stone wall like this.  An amazing work of art & craftsmanship.  In the Holy Spirit Paul writes:  Eph.4:11-16 in the Amplified and it reads like this:

11 And His gifts were [varied; He Himself appointed and gave men to us] some to be apostles (special messengers), some prophets (inspired preachers and expounders), some evangelists (preachers of the Gospel, traveling missionaries), some pastors (shepherds of His flock) and teachers.12 His intention was the perfecting and the full equipping of the saints (His consecrated people), [that they should do] the work of ministering toward building up Christ’s body (the church),13 [That it might develop] until we all attain oneness in the faith and in the comprehension of the [[a]full and accurate] knowledge of the Son of God, that [we might arrive] at really mature manhood (the completeness of personality which is nothing less than the standard height of Christ’s own perfection), the measure of the stature of the fullness of the Christ and the completeness found in Him.14 So then, we may no longer be children, tossed [like ships] to and fro between chance gusts of teaching and wavering with every changing wind of doctrine, [the prey of] the cunning and cleverness of [b]unscrupulous men, [gamblers engaged] in every shifting form of trickery in inventing errors to mislead.15 Rather, let our lives lovingly [c]express truth [in all things, speaking truly, dealing truly, living truly]. Enfolded in love, let us grow up in every way and in all things into Him Who is the Head, [even] Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).16 For because of Him the whole body (the church, in all its various parts), closely joined and firmly knit together by the joints and ligaments with which it is supplied, when each part [with power adapted to its need] is working properly [in all its functions], grows to full maturity, building itself up in love

Personally, I don’t believe we will get to go home until the Church of Christ Jesus is a perfect match for HIM.

Now the amazing thing about love is that love can not exist without freewill.  So we are expected to build a Church in the Holy Spirit that looks like Jesus out of UNIQUE stones where none are alike.  Not a brick building but a stone building of loving living stones because we want to (freewill) so that the glue is LOVE AND WILL BE LIKE JESUS.     MY,  WHAT A LOT OF FAITH..!!!  GOD HAS FOR US.

I once ask God to share with me HIS definition of LOVE.   And quietly, in my spirit, HE said, “Love is the highest good for the other person, regardless of personal cost.”   That is why the sacrifice of Christ Jesus gives us the epitome of the revelation of GOD’s LOVE.  Our Heavenly Father watched as HIS only begotten son was turned into raw meat and tortured to death so that we could be redeemed.  “He who knew no sin became sin for us that we might be made the righteousness of GOD in HIM.”  Isa. 53, Psalm 22.

So here at our little budding house church in Kealia, HI  tonight we have a small space and time set aside to try learn just how to do this.  No traditions just the Holy Spirit and the Word of God.  And to remember that like living stones,  snow flakes and cherry blossoms we are greatly LOVED of GOD and UNIQUE but not really special.  God loves us all the same.  And HE loves the world even in the sin as HE loves us as HE knows the potential of what they could be in Christ Jesus.  And HE has trusted this BEAUTIFUL TRUTH into our hands to share with this sick WORLD in which we now live.

Yours, in HIS great love and wonderful grace and mercy,   Ken<><   www.Trinity-Aloha.org   (Back issues of “WORTH CONSIDERING” may be found with a link on our home page.)

FORGIVENESS

ALOHA FAMILY & FRIENDS,  Beloved of God,  John 3:16,  12:24-26,  17:20-26,  Eph.4:11-16.

FORGIVENESS,     “WORTH CONSIDERING”   (Across my desk this morning.)

Today’s Scripture
“…and [love] keeps no record of being wronged.”  (1 Corinthians 13:5, NLT)

Keep No Record
The Bible says that God is love. He doesn’t just have love, He is love. The love we have is an extension of Him. When you invite Jesus to be the Lord of your life, the Bible says that He actually makes His home in your heart. Think about that for a minute. The Creator of the universe, who cannot be contained by anything, chose to make His home on the inside of your heart. That means that perfect love is on the inside of you. First Corinthians 13 tells us what that looks like. When we are walking in God’s love, we are patient. We are kind. Love always forgives. That means choosing to let go of bitterness, hurt and anger. If you have a mental list of all the people who have hurt or offended you, let it go. Let His love work in you and through you today.

A Prayer for Today
“Heavenly Father, thank You for loving and setting me free. Thank You for choosing to live on the inside of my heart. Show me if I am holding on to unforgiveness in any area so that I can forgive and walk in peace and victory today. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.”

My Thoughts,
In talking with a young man a few days ago I noticed that he totally avoided another friend of mine due to something that HAPPENED in the past????   He said that Jesus was with him and so I asked him about forgiveness??? as in the “Lord’s Prayer.”    His reply was that he had forgiven him but it was OK not to like him and to avoid him.  My thoughts ran to ,  “I am sure glad that my Heavenly Creator does not treat me that way.”

Also we also  have a big problem with guilt by association.  We were deeply hurt by someone in the past and our heart has lockeded in on that.   And here comes along someone in the future who for some reason reminds you of that pain and we tend shut out that person for no reason at all.  To reject someone is really the root meaning of hate.  But in the Early Church rejection was also used for correction,  but always with the opportunity for forgiveness and restoration.  We call this tough love.  But the motivation is not personal but community corrective as in:
Matt. 18:1111 For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.12 How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray?13 And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray.14 Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.15 Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.16 But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.17 And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

And we need to be constantly be reminded in reality that we stand in faith as in Rom. 11:21
For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: (Faith)  otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.23 And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God is able to graft them in again.

So we stand in and through faith to be found in HIS KINGDOM and James teaches us that our works will truly reveal our faith.  James clearly teaches that faith without resulting action does not exist.  So if you have no concern for the lost no desire to find and keep the commandments of Christ Jesus your eternal  fire insurance may have become invalid as in Isa.28:
9  Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.12 To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.13 But the word of the Lord was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.  14 Wherefore hear the word of the Lord, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem. 15 Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:16 Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.17 Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.18 And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.

This is very important so let me put it into another translation for those interested:   Isaiah 28
:To whom will He teach knowledge? [Ask the drunkards.] And whom will He make to understand the message? Those who are babies, just weaned from the milk and taken from the breasts? [Is that what He thinks we are?]10 For it is [His prophets repeating over and over]: precept upon precept, precept upon precept, rule upon rule, rule upon rule; here a little, there a little.11 No, but [the Lord will teach the rebels in a more humiliating way] by men with stammering lips and another tongue will He speak to this people [says Isaiah, and teach them His lessons].12 To these [complaining Jews the Lord] had said, This is the true rest [the way to true comfort and happiness] that you shall give to the weary, and, This is the [true] refreshing—yet they would not listen [to His teaching]. 13 Therefore the word of the Lord will be to them [merely monotonous repeatings of]: precept upon precept, precept upon precept, rule upon rule, rule upon rule; here a little, there a little—that they may go and fall backward, and be broken and snared and taken.14 Therefore hear the word of the Lord, you scoffers who rule this people in Jerusalem!15 Because you have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with Sheol (the place of the dead) we have an agreement—when the overflowing scourge passes through, it will not come to us, for we have made lies our refuge, and in falsehood we have taken shelter.16 Therefore thus says the Lord God, Behold, I am laying in Zion for a foundation a Stone, a tested Stone, a precious Cornerstone of sure foundation; he who believes (trusts in, relies on, and adheres to that Stone) will not [b]be ashamed or give way or hasten away [in sudden panic].17 I will make justice the measuring line and righteousness the plummet; and hail will sweep away the refuge of lies, and waters will overwhelm the hiding place (the shelter).   AMPC

So what is the evidence that you are a True Believer in Christ Jesus?   Do you share His word and commandments when given the opportunity?  Are there others living in Faith in Christ Jesus as LORD due to your help?  If you were convicted for being a Christian would there be enough evidence to convict you.   Even the lost,  love and do good  to those they love.  Even atheists do this…..  So works alone do no qualify.  It is in making Christ Jesus LORD that HE becomes our Savior.  Christ Jesus as LORD is the only way of Salvation.

ABUNDANCE

ALOHA FAMILY AND FRIENDS,  Beloved of God

ABUNDANCE,    “WORTH CONSIDERING”     ( Found on my desk today.)

Today’s Scripture
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”  (John 10:10, NIV)  “The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).” AMPC

Created to Thrive
So many people today are living with a survival mentality instead of a thriving mentality. They have a mentality that says, “If I can just make it through…” or “If I can just get by…” Of course, there are some seasons that are more difficult than others. Sometimes it’s challenging to get a vision for the future. But if you are constantly living with a survival mentality, you are missing out on God’s best. Scripture doesn’t say, “Jesus came so you could survive.” No, it says that He came to give you a full, abundant life!

If you are living in survival mode right now, today can be your turning point. If you’ll take a step of faith and begin to declare, “My days of survival are over; my days of thriving have begun,” I believe God will meet your faith. I believe He will open an unexpected door. He’ll pour out His favor and blessing on you. He’ll make a way where there seems to be no way! Even if you’re in a tough time right now, remember that tough times don’t last, but the Word of the Lord stands forever. Begin to declare what God says about your circumstances because you are created for more than to just get by—you are created to thrive!

A Prayer for Today
“Father God, thank You for giving me abundant life through Jesus Christ. I believe that You have a good plan for my future. I declare that my days of thriving have begun as I continue to put my faith and trust in You alone in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

My thoughts:
Abundant is used more than 44 times in the AMPC and 64 times in the King James.  An interesting study.
Amplified:  The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).  The word abundance is used in conjunction with beauty, honor, grace, affection, blessings, rejoicing,  and mercy.  It seems we should be spilling this stuff out this ABUNDANCE all over the place.  When you have an abundance of groceries the bags usually break.

Of course, the tricky part is,  “how do we turn it on?”  How do we really really get from feeling dried up to abundance?  James 5:12-19 (16) gives us a clue.  12 But above all [things], my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or by any other oath; but let your yes be [a simple] yes, and your no be [a simple] no, so that you may not sin and fall under condemnation.  13 Is anyone among you afflicted (ill-treated, suffering evil)? He should pray. Is anyone glad at heart? He should sing praise [to God].  14 Is anyone among you sick? He should call in the church elders (the spiritual guides). And they should pray over him, anointing him with oil in the Lord’s name.  15 And the prayer [that is] of faith will save him who is sick, and the Lord will restore him; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.  16 Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart]. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].  17 Elijah was a human being with a nature such as we have [with feelings, affections, and a constitution like ours]; and he prayed earnestly for it not to rain, and no rain fell on the earth for three years and six months.  18 And [then] he prayed again and the heavens supplied rain and the land produced its crops [as usual]. 19 [My] brethren, if anyone among you strays from the Truth and falls into error and another [person] brings him back [to God],20 Let the [latter] one be sure that whoever turns a sinner from his evil course will save [that one’s] soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins [[a]procure the pardon of the many sins committed by the convert].  (NOW READ AGAIN FOR UNDERSTANDING…. !)  FAITH grows as we digest and deeply submit to the WORD OF GOD.

So if interested in an abundance from our Loving Creator,  pick up on what HIS interests are and help on the Spiritual side of things with HIS Kingdom.  In other words:  Matthew 6:33 [Full Chapter]  AMPC

“Seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.”  And remember also Luke 12:15:  “ And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.”

Borrow only for needs and then never borrow unless the item + the total interest is less than what you would have to pay for it later.  For the borrower always becomes the servant of the lender.  Borrowing places you into a position of slavery.

Yours,  in HIS great love and wonderful grace and mercy,  Ken<><
