THE WAY

ALOHA FAMILY AND FRIENDS,  Beloved of God,  John 3:16

THE WAY,    “WORTH CONSIDERING”   7/3/19   (Across my desk this morning.)

Today’s Scripture
I will go before you and make the crooked places straight…”(Isaiah 45:2, NKJ)

He Prepares Your Path
Are you going through a season where you feel like every time you try to move forward, you hit a roadblock? Something happens that throws you off course. Be encouraged today because when you submit your life to the Lord, He promises to go before you. He is preparing a way for you. He is making your crooked places straight and your rough places smooth. You may be going through a difficult time right now, but it’s not the end. It’s only the beginning, and God has equipped you for this journey. Today, if you feel like you’re in a dry season, don’t look at your circumstances. Look at the promise of God! If you’ll keep speaking words of faith, God promises that He’ll anoint your head with oil and your cup will run over. That means you’ll be refreshed and anointed to do what He’s called you to do. God is preparing your path and equipping you for the journey. What do you need in order to keep moving forward? Start by checking your attitude. Don’t go around complaining or focused on the negative side of things. Put on an attitude of praise and thanksgiving. Thank Him for making your crooked places straight! Keep your eyes on Him and follow Him forward into the path of victory!

A Prayer for Today
“Lord in heaven, thank You for Your goodness in my life. Thank you for preparing the path for my life and making my crooked places straight. Thank You for restoring my soul and life and guiding me in everything I do. I submit every area of my life to You in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

My Thoughts:
As the Hippies would say in the 70’s,   “RIGHT ON.”    Like Peter walking on the water,  he did fine with his eyes on the LORD in faith,  quiet an experience,  anti gravity.  But when the wind and waves got his attention he was a goner.  Jesus still picked him up but he got upbraided for his lack of faith.  I would have thought that he should get a pat on the back for being the only disciple out there.  None of the other guys got to walk on the water even a little bit.  They were all hugging the boat.  So who are we with,  Peter or the other guys?  Peter actually learned to have enough faith to walk on the water for a while.  The LORD was pulling for him to be able to do as HE was doing.  Now that is an amazing thing.  Christ Jesus wants us to learn to do what HE did and then go on to do even greater things than HE did.  So how much time to we spend learning to walk in faith?   And how much time do we spend hugging the boat?  “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.”   We are encouraged to bring every thought to be what Jesus would think by the Word of God,  “Bible.”

On the mount of olives we see Christ Jesus doing exactly that.  He knew the Old Testament scriptures of Psalms 22 and Isaiah 53 of exactly what was on “THE WAY”  in front of HIM.  He prayed,  “If possible let this cup pass from me,  but never the less, not my will but thy will be done.”   Most of us have not even taken the time to even get to know the voice of GOD in our heart, much less obey HIM.  So how do we find, “Our WAY” on the path of life to HIM?  By choosing to immerse ourselves in HIS love in humility, faith and obedience in doing what we already know to do.  When we are obedient to what we already know then HE will open the doors to more of HIS Kingdom.  To walk on the water, we must first get out of the boat.
