ANGER    “WORTH CONSIDERING”   3//16/20   By Ken Smith

Today’s Scripture  (In my ebox this morning.)
“…Whoever is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city…”(Proverbs 16:32, ESV)

Rule Your Spirit
Today’s Scripture tells us to rule our own spirit. It doesn’t say to rule somebody else’s spirit or to rule your circumstances. You can’t control what other people think or say about you or the negative circumstances around you. If you’re dealing with a sickness or your finances are low, your attempts to control it will only lead to frustration, worry, and discouragement. Part of ruling your spirit is to not let that poison get in you. Ships don’t sink because there’s water around them; they sink if they let the water get in them.

Another part of ruling your spirit is to not believe the enemy’s constant whispers, “You blew it. God’s never going to bless you.” God’s mercy is bigger than any mistake. Your mistakes didn’t cancel God’s plan, and He’s not finished with you. You may have fallen down, but your attitude should be, “I’m not staying down. God will get me to where I’m supposed to be.”

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for Your strength and mercy in times of difficulty. I can’t control what others say or do or control negative circumstances around me, but I can rule my spirit. I believe that You will make a way for me and get me to where I’m supposed to be. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Thoughts,
As I consider the Holy Scriptures I see that there is constructive anger and destructive anger.  We see very quickly as we read our Bible that God has the ability to get angry, very angry.  Even Jesus was angry at times.  We can get very angry when we know about some child abuse even as God is angry when children are abused.  So there is a righteous anger that is not sin but is constructive.

But the anger we feel some of the time is negative and project hate rather than healing.  And many times is experienced due to the light exposing the darkness like with Cain and Able where due to Cain’s jealousy and pride he literally killed his brother to put the light out. Darkness hates Light.

In my study of the subject I found an interesting thought that some professional wrote where it was stated that 5 minutes of serious anger can effectively shut down an immune system for the whole day.  That one of the primary results of anger or unresolved conflicts is sickness.  So lets take a look at some of the scriptures in the New Testament.

First one to come to my mind is the Lord’s Supper:  For anyone who eats and drinks without discriminating and recognizing with due appreciation that [it is Christ’s] body, eats and drinks a sentence (a verdict of judgment) upon himself.  30 That [careless and unworthy participation] is the reason many of you are weak and sickly, and quite enough of you have fallen into the sleep of death.  31 For if we searchingly examined ourselves [detecting our shortcomings and recognizing our own condition], we should not be judged and penalty decreed [by the divine judgment].

James teaches us the following:  Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.  14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:  15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.  James 5:13-15   So please notice that sickness can be, (but not always,) the result of sin.  Bitterness, Unforgiveness, Anger, Resentments can all cause all kinds of sickness.  So if you get sick it is good to check out these areas of possibilities for the cause.  Of course it can also be due to other issues as well.   But sickness never comes from God, God does not want us to be sick.  Jesus came expressly to help us find our way to health and wholeness.  The warranty we have is 120 healthy years of life as shared and experienced by Moses, Gen 6:3 but we have to do the proper maintenance.

The outline of prayer that Jesus gave HIS disciples to consider has a very important line of thought in it.     “Pray, therefore, like this: Our Father Who is in heaven, hallowed (kept holy) be Your name.  10 Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.  11 Give us this day our daily bread.  12 And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven ([e] left, remitted, and let go of the debts, and have [f] given up resentment against) our debtors.  13 And lead (bring) us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.  14 For if you forgive people their trespasses [their [g]reckless and willful sins, [h] leaving them, letting them go, and [I] giving up resentment], your heavenly Father will also forgive you.  15 But if you do not forgive others their trespasses [their [j]reckless and willful sins, [k] leaving them, letting them go, and [l] giving up resentment], neither will your Father forgive you your trespasses.  Matt.6:9-15…

As Christ Jesus left us HE sent the Holy Spirit to give us the gifts that HE had while here and they are listed for us to receive as follows: “To one is given in and through the [Holy] Spirit [the power to speak] a message of wisdom, and to another [the power to express] a word of knowledge and understanding according to the same [Holy] Spirit;  9 To another [[a]wonder-working] faith by the same [Holy] Spirit, to another the extraordinary powers of healing by the one Spirit;  10 To another the working of miracles, to another prophetic insight ([b]the gift of interpreting the divine will and purpose); to another the ability to discern and distinguish between [the utterances of true] spirits [and false ones], to another various kinds of [unknown] tongues, to another the ability to interpret [such] tongues.  1 Cor. 12:8-10.  And these nine much needed gifts of the Holy Spirit and are in much need today.  It is past time for the Church of Christ Jesus to come together in real loving unity in God’s truth and learn how to receive and give these gifts of the Holy Spirit.  In the Early Church these gifts were very much in action as follows: “More and more there were being added to the Lord those who believed [those who acknowledged Jesus as their Lord and Savior and devoted themselves to Him joined and gathered with them], crowds both of men and of women,  15 So that they [even] kept carrying out the sick into the streets and placing them on couches and sleeping pads, [in the hope] that as Peter passed by, at least his shadow might fall on some of them.  16 And the people gathered also from the towns and hamlets around Jerusalem, bringing the sick and those troubled with foul spirits, and they were all cured.”  Acts 5:14-16.  AMP

FEAR

ALOHA FAMILY & FRIENDS,  Beloved of God and me,   John 3:16-17

FEAR.    “WORTH CONSIDERING”   3/13/20, by Ken Smith

Today’s Scripture   (Across my desk this morning.)
“He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God.”  Ps. 40:2-3

Be a Pit Praiser
When God sees you praising Him in the pit, praising Him in the storm, praising Him in the loss, that’s what He calls “a sacrifice of praise.” He knows it’s not easy and you feel like quitting. When you praise Him in the pit, that moves Him in a greater way. It’s one thing to be grateful when things are going your way, but when you have a song of praise in your heart when every circumstance says you should be depressed, get ready for God to show out in your life. David said in today’s Scripture that praise brings you out of the pit. Praise when it’s sunny, and praise when it’s rainy. Praise when business is up, and praise when it’s down. David said in Psalm 34, “I will bless the Lord at all times. His praise will continually be in my mouth.” God is looking for some pit praisers, people who praise no matter what happens.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that the pits I find myself in are only temporary stops along the way to my final destination. Thank You that I can offer You a sacrifice of praise because You hold victory in store for the upright. I believe that You’ll get me to where I’m supposed to be. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Notes:
In this the story of Job comes to mind.  He was a perfect man before God who loved good but hated evil and yet God let lucifer sift him as wheat in destroying his children, his wealth and his health.  Many look at this story and go away with many questions.

So what was the key for that story being retained for so many thousands of years?  It is the oldest story written down that found it way into our Bible.  The key is found in Job 3:25-26.

“For the thing which I greatly fear comes upon me,  And that of which I am afraid has come upon me. 26  “I am not at ease, nor am I quiet,  And I am not at rest, and yet trouble still comes [upon me].”

So we see here that Job with the blessings of God was greatly fearful of loosing them.  Even to the point of offering sin offerings for his children just in case that they may have sinned.  So it appears that it came to a point of where the only way to deal with Job’s fear was to allow him to loose it all.

In Job 1:21 when the house fell on his many boys Job still knew to worship God and not to throw a big pity party but to maintain his trust in saying:  20 Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, 21 And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.  22 In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.

But out of this experience Job began to have heart faith instead of head faith and to let go of his fear. So we turn to Job 42:  Then Job answered the Lord and said,  2  “I know that You can do all things,  And that no thought or purpose of Yours can be restrained.  3“[You said to me] ‘Who is this that darkens and obscures counsel [by words] without knowledge?’Therefore [I now see] I have [rashly] uttered that which I did not understand, Things too wonderful for me, which I did not know. 4 ‘Hear, please, and I will speak;I will ask You, and You instruct [and answer] me.’  5 “I had heard of You [only] by the hearing of the ear, But now my [spiritual] eye sees You.  6 “Therefore I retract [my words and hate myself]  And I repent in dust and ashes.”

And as the story ends.  Job 42:10-15,   “God Restores Job’s Fortunes
10 The Lord restored the fortunes of Job when he prayed for his friends, and the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before. 11 Then all his brothers and sisters and all who had known him before came to him, and they ate bread with him in his house; and they consoled him and comforted him over all the [distressing] adversities that the Lord had brought on him. And each one gave him a piece of money, and each a ring of gold. 12 And the Lord blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning; for he had 14,000 sheep, 6,000 camels, 1,000 yoke of oxen, and 1,000 female donkeys. 13 He had seven sons and three daughters. 14 And he called the name of the first [daughter] Jemimah, and the name of the second Keziah, and the name of the third Keren-happuch. 15 In all the land there were found no women so fair as the daughters of Job; and their father gave them an inheritance among their brothers.

But now Job was able to enjoy God’s Blessings without fear.  Fear is our enemy.  Fear is faith going backwards What we fear is what we will be bringing to pass in our lives.

17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. 19 We love him, because he first loved us. 1 John 4: 17-19

So where did fear come from?  6 Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.  2 Tim.1:6-8

ANOINTING OF GOD

ALOHA FAMILY & FRIENDS,  Beloved of God and me.   John 3:16-18

GOD’S ANOINTING,   WORTH CONSIDERING    3/12/20 by Ken Smith<><

Today’s Scripture
“…But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth…”
(1 John 2:20, NIV)

You Have an Anointing
We don’t have to go through life doing everything on our own, trying to accomplish our dreams in our own ability, trying to overcome challenges in our own strength, our own intellect, and our own hard work. We have an advantage. God has placed His anointing on you. The anointing is a divine empowerment. It enables you to do what you could not do on your own. It will cause you to accomplish dreams even though you don’t have the talent. It will help you overcome obstacles that looked insurmountable.

The anointing is only activated where there is faith. Instead of complaining about how something is not going to work out, turn that around and start declaring, “I am anointed. I am equipped. I am empowered. I am well able.” When you have this attitude of faith and are speaking words of victory, you are stirring up your anointing. That’s when you’ll go places that you couldn’t go on your own.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that You have placed Your anointing on me to enable me to do what I cannot do on my own and to accomplish my dreams. I believe and declare that I am equipped and empowered to go where I’ve never been and do what I’ve never done. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Notes,
Sounds really easy as most of us have a pretty very good idea of “what would Jesus do,” in most any situation.  The difficulty is that the powers of darkness can make the lies of death seem so good and so necessary to our flesh that like Eve we easily get deceived.   God was walking with Adam and Eve in the cool of the evening each day to give them instructions on how to subdue the earth and to replenish it.  And this was before the fall and the curse.  So why didn’t Adam and Eve wait a day and talk to God in the evening about the temptation and the commandment.  But Eve got caught up in the lies in wanting what was offered as the (real truth.)  On the back side of that was to catch GOD in being a supposed liar.  And once you get into making the truth to be a lie and the lie to being the truth you can be manipulated to do most anything.  And Adam was not about to go anywhere except with Eve.  So Paul call’s Adam out as not being deceived but as being in pride and rebellion.

So Eve was tempted by lucifer that the fruit was best in the garden, it could make her wise and even better, to even become like GOD.  And those 3 temptations can be found on our walk in just about any day.  Jesus went through the same temptations during his 40 day fast.  The lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and pride of life.  But if you take a breath and look at God’s Heaven as your ultimate destiny and think about what you can send ahead as a gift to GOD our Creator.  Then in the words of an old hymn it will make the lies of this world become dim and ineffective.  God has told us in the Holy Scriptures that HE has our back, that all our needs are there, ready for us if we will but trust HIM.

So to be anointed and blessed of God.  First we need to believe in HIM in our heart of hearts and that HE has a desire and the ability to rewards those who come through Christ Jesus to HIM.  But don’t expect to be anointed of God in disobedience.   Of course “the god of this world,”  lucifer is also into blessing (temporarily) those who will submit to him as well.  So those who really want to eat the forbidden fruits of this world, and there are many, may easily do so.  Every time we spend time before the worlds publicity we are encourage to be this or that or to get this or that to keep us in our comfort zone, what ever that may be.  We are encouraged to honor our flesh and to do all we can to keep our Adamic nature alive and in freedom to do whatever the lie of the moment may happen to be until our time on earth is used up, wasted, and is gone.

Paul writes about the flesh in this manner:   “We know that the Law is spiritual, but I am a creature of the flesh [worldly, self-reliant—carnal and un-spiritual ], sold into slavery to sin [and serving under its control]. 15 For I do not understand my own actions [I am baffled and bewildered by them]. I do not practice what I want to do, but I am doing the very thing I hate [and yielding to my human nature, my worldliness—my sinful capacity]. 16 Now if I habitually do what I do not want to do, [that means] I agree with the Law, confessing that it is good (morally excellent). 17 So now [if that is the case, then] it is no longer I who do it [the disobedient thing which I despise], but the sin [nature] which lives in me. 18 For I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my flesh [my human nature, my worldliness—my sinful capacity]. For the willingness [to do good] is present in me, but the doing of good is not. 19 For the good that I want to do, I do not do, but I practice the very evil that I do not want. 20 But if I am doing the very thing I do not want to do, I am no longer the one doing it [that is, it is not me that acts], but the sin [nature] which lives in me.  21 So I find it to be the law [of my inner self], that evil is present in me, the one who wants to do good. 22 For I joyfully delight in the law of God in my inner self [with my new nature], 23 but I see a different law and rule of action in the members of my body [in its appetites and desires], waging war against the law of my mind and subduing me and making me a prisoner of the law of sin which is within my members. 24 Wretched and miserable man that I am! Who will [rescue me and] set me free from this body of death [this corrupt, mortal existence]? 25 Thanks be to God [for my deliverance] through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, on the one hand I myself with my mind serve the law of God, but on the other, with my flesh [my human nature, my worldliness, my sinful capacity—I serve] the law of sin.  Rom. 7:14-25   So each of us is in this battle between the Flesh and the Spirit.  And in Paul in the next chapter teaches us how to have the victory, if interested.  And in that victory we can become anointed of God, supernaturally.  And we can learn do the same things that Jesus did upon the earth in unity with others who also have gained the same victory.  So.. “speaking the truth in love [in all things—both our speech and our lives expressing His truth], let us grow up in all things into Him [following His example] who is the Head—Christ. 16 From Him the whole body [the church, in all its various parts], joined and knitted firmly together by what every joint supplies, when each part is working properly, causes the body to grow and mature, building itself up [a] in [unselfish] love. Eph.4:15-16.

HEALING, THE REAL FAITH

ALOHA FAMILY & FRIENDS,   Beloved of God and me,     John 3:16-18

HEALING, THE REAL FAITH,   3/11/20,    From Ken Smith

Today’s Scripture    (In my e-mails this morning.)
“…Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road…”  (Mark 10:52, NIV)

You Have to Want It
A blind beggar named Bartimaeus heard all the commotion of a great crowd following Jesus and began shouting, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” The people around him told him to be quiet, but the more they rebuked him and told him to be quiet, the louder he shouted. All of a sudden, Jesus stopped, commanded him to be called, and healed him.

How badly do you want the dreams God put in your heart and the promises He’s spoken to you? Badly enough to outlast people who are trying to talk you out of it, badly enough to overlook some insults, badly enough to do the right thing when the wrong thing is happening? Do you want it badly enough to keep pursuing it when all the circumstances say it’s not going to happen? There should be something you are believing for about which you are relentless. You aren’t moved by how impossible it looks.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for the dreams You put in my heart and for the promises You’ve spoken. If I have to believe my whole life for their fulfillment, I’m going keep believing. I’m not going to settle for less than. I’m going to keep pursuing what You put in my heart. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Notes…
The subject of healing and deliverance is very important to us as many of us are sick and many in the Church today are in much need of deliverance.   Much by accident and by learning what not to do I am now at a place where the following is true for me.

So for me a spiritual base of heart faith, unity and worship is the primary road and the supernatural.  So a small group of dedicated saints who are of one mind and one spirit in the heart faith of the Word of God can begin to walk in the supernatural.   That means a basket has also been built in which to catch the ripe fruit that is sure to come.  It was the supernatural that brought the multitudes to Christ Jesus and to the Early Church.  God’s power was a profound experience in the Early Church.  And the experience of HIS loving power brought many to true repentance and the born from above, new life, experience.  But today, due to the lack of unity in God’s Holy Truth we see very little of the supernatural.   And when the Holy Spirit does heal someone we tend to absorb that bit of supernatural into our traditions so that those events become very unique and rare.  So let’s spend some time with the Bible on this subject.  Some healings are difficult due to un-broken soul ties from the past.  A good note on this from Derek Prince to  read: As as his efforts are very clean. https://healingdeliverance.net/biblicalhealinganddeliveranceministry/healing-and-deliverance-ministry/

So #1 on the list is that Word of God is True and that Faith comes by hearing the Word of God as in Rom.10:17.   So as doctors instruct their patience so does God’s Word instruct us concerning our healing.  In Ps. 107:20.  The Bible tells us that HE sent HIS Word and healed them. Ps.107:20 and the gift of healing is also noted in 1 Cor.12:28.  So with the exhortation from Ex. 15:16 we start:   “If you will diligently listen and pay attention to the voice of the Lord your God, and do what is right in His sight, and listen to His commandments, and keep [foremost in your thoughts and actively obey] all His precepts and statutes, then I will not put on you any of the diseases which I have put on the Egyptians; for I am the [a] Lord who heals you.”  So we find that disobedience can bring sickness and obedience can help the cure.  So there is a need to take inventory concerning our life style in comparison to the moral and ethical system as supported by the New Testament.  If we study the New Testament, in context we will come to a fuller diagnosis and often sickness may be intertwined with demons (Duet 28:1-14 & Matt. 4:24) But all healing is a matter of our heart faith which is very different then just knowing or head faith.  Heart Faith is to know that what you do/pray will be heard and acted on by God.  It is like the heart beat or breathing it is not something that you think about to do.  It is acting in the Holy Spirit like speaking in tongues as part of the empowering or baptism of the Holy Spirit. It is our voice but HIS Grace/Power.   There can be no doubt and still be heart faith.  Our salvation come to us that way, The baptism of the Holy Spirit comes that way and so Healing comes the same way as per Heb. 11…  Jesus quoted Isa.61 when HE began HIS Ministry:  The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, “Because the Lord has anointed and commissioned me To bring good news to the humble and afflicted;  He has sent me to bind up [the wounds of] the brokenhearted,  To proclaim release [from confinement and condemnation] to the [physical and spiritual] captives  And freedom to prisoners,  2   To proclaim [a] the favorable year of the Lord, [b] And the day of vengeance and retribution of our God, To comfort all who mourn,…”  And that is exactly what HE did and what we are supposed to learn how to do as well as found in John 14:12.   “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, anyone who believes in Me [as LORD & SAVIOR] will also do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these [in extent and outreach], because I am going to the Father.”

So in seeking to know about sickness and deliverance there is a need to really know the Word of God and to apply it as Jesus did and as we come together in worship,  humility, truth, love, holiness and obedience we will again see HIS Church filled with power as in Acts 5:12-17.  “At the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders (attesting miracles) were continually taking place among the people. And by common consent they all met together [at the temple] in [the covered porch called] Solomon’s portico. 13 But none of the rest [of the people, the non-believers] dared to associate with them; however, the people were holding them in high esteem and were speaking highly of them. 14 More and more believers in the Lord, crowds of men and women, were constantly being added to their number, 15 to such an extent that they even carried their sick out into the streets and put them on cots and sleeping pads, so that when Peter came by at least his shadow might fall on one of them [with healing power]. 16 And the people from the towns in the vicinity of Jerusalem were coming together, bringing the sick and those who were tormented by unclean spirits, and they were all being healed.”

TIME & PREDESTINATION

ALOHA FAMILY & FRIENDS, Beloved of God and me,

TIME DIMENSION OF GOD, “WORTH CONSIDERING” 3/10/20, by Ken Smith

Today’s Scripture (In my email this morning.)
“…He will take you upstairs to a large room that is already set up. That is where you should prepare our meal…”  (Luke 22:12, NLT)

You’re All Set Up
In Luke 22, Jesus told Peter and John to go into Jerusalem and make arrangements for what is now known as the Last Supper. He gave them the exact details—the right person to meet, the right time, the right house—and everything fell precisely into place. They didn’t have to persuade the owner of the house to help. No, he was expecting them. The room was “already set up.”

When God laid out the plan for your life, He set up everything you need to fulfill your destiny—every good break, every person, every solution. Before you had that problem you think will never turn around, He had already set up the answer. You don’t have to try to manipulate people or convince someone to be good to you. The desires that God put in your heart may seem far out, but if you’ll stay in faith and keep honoring God, you’re going to come into what God has already set up
.
A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for the blessings You’ve already set up. Thank You for the favor, the promotion, the healing, and the good breaks that You’ve already ordained to come across my path. I believe that You are directing my steps and orchestrating everything around me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s notes,
It is not like you are predestined and are nothing but a robot.   But the Absolute Foreknowledge in God’s Eternal timeless dimension is difficult for us to grasp.  In eternity before the first bit of God’s power/energy became matter/atoms HE was able to see whatever HE did then as a final result in our time and HIS.  He could count the number of hairs on our head then as today.  He could see me typing this note to you.  He could see and know your reaction to HIS truth.  Also he could set in motion what would be needed to support you in answer to your prayers prior to you even sending them up to HIM.  God never needs to change HIS mind as HE knows exactly what you will do with your free will.  That is why in HIS dimension HE could love HIS elect prior to them even being born.  And HE could tell HIS prophets what the future would look like.  There is over 2,000 prophesies  in the Old Testament,  I am told.  Of which 80% of them have already been fulfilled.

So from God’s point of view the plans are secure to the smallest detain and now the building is being built over a period of it seems of 7,000 years of our time of which 6,000 years has already been accomplished including the 1st Advent of Christ Jesus, Son of God, Son of Man, the 2nd Adam to make possible the restoration from Adam’s pride, rebellion and the contamination in our world.  Of course for us to experience that restoration we must set our free will to agree to it.  Otherwise we will not be included in the future Kingdom of God in Righteousness.  Our needed decision to experience the restoration is clearly set out to us in the writings of the Prophets and Apostles of God and of course, Christ Jesus, in the Holy Scriptures.

In the words of Christ Jesus we find that our Spiritual potential died in Adam’s rebellion and we were born Spiritually dead.  (John 3).    And that there is a need for us to be born of the Spirit of God a to become eternal with God.  In the resurrection of Christ Jesus the first thing that HE did was to see to it that HIS disciples received that gift of the Holy Spirit to be born from above.  “ And when He said this, He breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.  John 20:22.    Remember in in the createion of Adam that God, (The Word) did the same thing with Adam.  “then the Lord God [a]formed [that is, created the body of ] man from the [b] dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and the man became a living being [an individual complete in body and spirit]. Gen.2:7.   So Christ Jesus, now as the Word of God, restored the potential of the Spiritual LIFE of man that had been lost to the human race in the disobedience of Adam.    So now we have the possibility of being restored in having an Eternal Spiritual Life restored through our obedience in making Christ Jesus LORD as found in Romans 10:9-10    “…because if you acknowledge and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord [recognizing His power, authority, and majesty as God], and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart a person believes [in Christ as Savior] resulting in his justification [that is, being made righteous—being freed of the guilt of sin and made acceptable to God]; and with the mouth he acknowledges and confesses [his faith openly], resulting in and confirming [his] salvation.”

Our Creator’s ultimate goal as found in the beginning:   “  Gen. 1:26,   Then God said, “Let Us (Father, Word, Holy Spirit ) make man in Our image, according to Our likeness [not physical, but a spiritual personality and moral likeness]; and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the cattle, and over the entire earth, and over everything that creeps and crawls on the earth.”   God’s original  vision in our creation has not changed and for those who will find the humility & obedience to agree to make Christ Jesus LORD there is an open door to the restoration of the opportunity to be conformed to the image and likeness of God as did Jesus.  Jesus  was the first man to make it through into God’s Eternal Dimension to become GOD/Man and HE now also makes the way open for us through HIM to be born from above and become sanctified in HIM to find also our place in that same  Eternal Kingdom of God as HIS eternal family.  This is why we are going though this very short time of testing in this unique dimension of time.  It is so we can choose to stay with Adam as lord or decide to be joined to Christ Jesus as LORD.  Presently,  in your own hands alone is your personal destiny of living for eternity in light or darkness before your death in this temporary dimension of time.  After death your decision is eternal.

Yours, in HIS great love and wonderful Grace and Mercy,

MEDIOCRITY

ALOHA FAMILY & FRIENDS,  Beloved of God and me….

MEDIOCRITY     “WORTH CONSIDERING”
3/9/20,   by Ken Smith

Today’s Scripture
“…Become wise by walking with the wise; hang out with fools and watch your life fall to pieces…”  (Proverbs 13:20, MSG)

Who Are You Walking With?
It’s not only important how we spend our time, but with whom we spend it. The only thing that’s keeping some people from a new level of their destiny is wrong friendships. You may have to prune off some relationships that are not adding value to your life. Don’t hang around people who are not going anywhere, who have no goals or dreams, who compromise and take the easy way out. If you tolerate mediocrity, it will rub off on you. If you hang out with jealous, critical, unhappy people, you will end up jealous, critical, and unhappy. You cannot become who God created you to be hanging out with them.

Take a look at your friends. If your friends are winners, leaders, givers, and successful, if they have integrity and a spirit of excellence and are positive and motivated, those good qualities are going to rub off on you. Invest your time with them. They’re making you better.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for the friends in my life who sharpen me, inspire me, encourage me, and push me forward. Help me to know if there are relationships that I need to prune and friendships that I need to be careful about. I want to walk with the right people. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Thoughts,
There is an old saying, “You become like the people you associate with.”  So even in the wisdom of this world that truth is well known.   One of the best lines in the film “Amadeus” was when Salieri said of himself that he was the Patron Saint of Mediocrity.   I am not suggesting that you need to see the film as it is rather an adult film but Mr. Abrahams portrayal of mediocrity was exceptional.  However our Creator God has destined us to be created in HIS IMAGE & LIKENESS if we will allow it.  And in Christ we are instructed that we are more than conquers if we love and obey HIM. (Rom.8) That if we will “hang out” with HIM we will become like HIM and be exceptional.  And it is much easier swimming up stream with others who are going in the same direction.   To float downstream is to end up in a swamp with a bunch of really mean critters.

So in what way do we know what is mediocrity?  It means to settle some where in between heaven and hell in spiritual terms.   In the Bible in  Rev.3:14  we find the Laodicean Church marked with this judgment by Christ Jesus.  The mark of the 7th and last type of church listed in the prophesy and it is called lukewarm.  Many feel it is the church of our day at the end of the age of the gentiles.

“So because you are lukewarm (spiritually useless), and neither hot nor cold, I will vomit you out of My mouth [rejecting you with disgust].”  Rev. 3:16

But Christ Jesus comes to that church and is still knocking to get in as HE is outside the door and not allowed to come into HIS own church!!!   Rev. 3:20-22

So the challenge is for us to identify with the humanity of Christ Jesus and though in Human Form HE was able to overcome.  And not only that but HE encourages us to be an over comer also by HIS grace so we can sit beside HIM in HIS kingdom and beside our Heavenly Father. “Behold, I stand at the door [of the church] and continually knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him (restore him), and he with Me. 21 He who overcomes [the world through believing that Jesus is the Son of God], I will grant to him [the privilege] to sit beside Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down beside My Father on His throne. 22 He who has an ear, let him hear and heed what the Spirit says to the churches.”  Rev.3:20-22.   “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors and gain an overwhelming victory through Him who loved us [so much that He died for us].  Rom.8:37.

Christian Persecution:
The 5 yr. sentences of nine Iranian Christian converts were upheld after a judge who has become notorious for persecuting prisoners of conscience barred them from using their own lawyers.    Thousands of saints suffered intense persecution in ages past, and thousands are still being persecuted today (126,000 martyrs last year alone), they prepare(d) the way for the salvation of millions of others. REALITY CHECK:

REALITY CHECK:     “WORTH CONSIDERING”    3/7/20     by Ken Smith<><   www.Trinity-Aloha.org

Ken’s thoughts on Saturday:

In spending some time with the LORD today and going over some issues.   My wife thinks I am a hoarder…. perhaps she is right?   I saw a couple of end table in the Salvation store yesterday that in the dim light of the store like like they could work for our Wwoofer accommodations… (Trade of board and room for 24 hours help with the place each week.)   But in loading them they looks worse then in the store and by the time I unloaded them at home in the sun light,  I could see I had bought a lot of work for $15.   But my dear wife went ballistic and forgot all about 1 Cor. 13. and claimed up in her room.  By this time my daughter Cindy was saying she would like to have one of them in her room.  So now caught in the cross fire.   So I sneaked out when all were hiding in their rooms and took the end tables to the dump.  So I lost a little time and $15. bucks to have some peace,  I hope.  It is not all over as yet.

But as I was musing over the situation the  Holy Spirit started talking to me about how we see things in the physical world but really don’t see them.  We see a picture in our brain that our brain creates for us out of what information that it collects through our 5  physical senses.  If my brain did not have that input I would have no idea what was out there.

The the Holy Spirit started sharing that learning to walk in the Spirit is like that.   We become born spiritually from above by trusting Jesus to be our LORD.  Then there is a need to train our eyes, ears, touch, taste and feel gates to see things in the Spiritual world.  At first we only know that we are hungry, dirty, tired and need help.   Then we start to hear and to see those who love us.  And as we grow spiritual we start to learn humility and obedience perhaps or perhaps not.   But that this Spiritual world has to become as real to us as our physical world or nothing gets changed.  And by the time we die we need to really be secure in that world or we could miss the boat.  It only took a few minutes for the thief on the cross to see and join God’s Spiritual world.   Others it may take a life time.  The parable of the 4 soils of Jesus gives us a way to understand this.   What kind of soil are you and me?  Only the deep, weed free soil produced fruit.   And what ever did not bear fruit after it’s kind was taken and burned.

So it is by faith that we need to learn to live in God’s Spiritual world and it comes by repeatedly listening to the Word of God.  A great evangelist of the past,  Smith Wigglesworth once said he never read anything but the Holy Bible to be able to keep on track.   Today very few folks stay close to the Bible, especially the New Testament,  and they get lost in the thoughts of those who seem sometimes to be trying to build their own little ivory towers for their own ego.  So if you are not in a disciplined discipleship quest to learn to be like Jesus you are wasting your time and money.  All through the New Testament we are challenged to learn to become like Jesus.  We are challenged to learn what HE taught and to learn how to also make it happen in our lives.  And also we are taught to enjoy teaching when we find others who may become interested as they see we have also become both salt and light in being with Jesus.  And that our real family are only those who are in obedience to Christ Jesus as LORD.   It is a brand new existence that we are invited to experience and to learn how to live in.  James teaches that if we learn to have real faith then we will also have real spiritual results.

Yours, In HIS great love and wonderful grace and mercy,   Ken<><   www.Trinity-Aloha.org

Some interesting quotes from the past:

"Isn't it staggering when you think that one sermon on the day of Pentecost produced 3000 people? And we had some cities yesterday where 3000 sermons were preached and nobody was saved. And it doesn't even faze us." -Leonard Ravenhill
"If you have no wish to bring others to heaven, you are not going there yourself." -C.H. Spurgeon "Aspire to be something more than the mass of church members. Lift up your cry to God and beseech him to fire you with a nobler ambition than that which possesses the common Christian-that you may be found faithful unto God at the last, and may win many crowns for your Lord and Master, Christ." -C.H. Spurgeon "for all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ's." (Philippians 2:21). "For what is your life?..." (James 4:14a) "Can we go too fast in saving souls? If anyone still wants a reply, let him ask the lost souls in Hell." -William Booth "There is nothing little in God." -C.H. HOUSE CHURCH

ALOHA FAMILY & FRIENDS,  Beloved of God and me.

HOUSE CHURCH,   “WORTH CONSIDERING” 3/6/20   by Ken Smith<><

Today’s Scripture   ( In my email this morning.)
“…I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you…”  (Psalm 32:8, NIV)

Listen Closely and Follow
Many times we don’t realize that God is speaking to us. We feel an impression on the inside, a prompting to be good to someone. That’s not random. That’s God talking to us. Or, maybe you’re in a situation where you feel an uneasiness. Something says, “It’s not right. Stay away.” That’s not just your nerves. It’s God protecting you. Don’t ignore it, don’t talk yourself out of it; just obey. If you’ll follow that still, small voice, God says He will guide you along the best path for your life. If we’re listening to His still, small voice—the promptings, the suggestions, the alarms—He will save us from heartache and pain. He’ll lead us into promotion and favor. Too often we feel these impressions on the inside, but we dismiss them as not making sense, or override or overanalyze them. Don’t talk yourself out of it. Just obey. Anytime you obey, a blessing will always follow.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for loving me and for speaking to my heart. Thank You for giving me an inner ear to know right from wrong. Help me to be sensitive to Your still, small voice and hear it with clarity, to hear any alarms, promptings, and suggestions, and to be quick to obey. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Thoughts,
So much of what is done on Sunday mornings today for church is traditional.  We need to head back into the New Testament to find out what the Holy Spirit wants to teach us.  For example there is not one word in the New Testament supporting tithing or building a church building.  All gifts & offerings were to be from the heart and for evangelism and to help the poor.

In the New Testament we find house churches for ministry to the saved and outdoor evangelism for the lost and personal evangelism in between.  And it appears that the Elders were always mentoring a disciple to help them learn to do what they were doing.  That we should be making disciples that can reproduce disciples that can reproduce disciples and so on.  Jesus noted that in John 17:20  “I do not pray for these alone [it is not for their sake only that I make this request], but also for [all] those who [will ever] believe and trust in Me through their message,…” AMP

We will never see the Glory and Power of God in the New Testament Church until we learn to become 24/7 Christians who have a deep loving concern for the lost and learn how to help them find Jesus in the Holy Spirit.  It is the ministry of the sheep to bear the lambs.  It is the ministry of the shepherd to feed and protect the sheep, especially the lambs.

Most large ministries of the Holy Spirit come to a point in their existence of being too large to gather together and must either find larger facilities or build them or to begin to split up.  This is a critical stage as dividing into house churches and trying out a steward pastor would keep the intimacy of the forum rather than making the transition to a theater with a Sr. Pastor….  The smaller groups would have a lot more flexibility and the energy would go towards evangelism rather than boards and carpets.  The young stewards would gather with the Elders with a deep hunger to learn better how to help their little flocks and be mentored.  The growth would become exponential as was used by our LORD.   With the Elders gathering to keep the unity of the faith in the bond of peace each week we would see only the one Church of Christ Jesus and eliminate the idea that it is OK to agree to disagree.   God does not have two truths on a given subject.  We, in love, need to have the patience on a subject to bring the scriptures together until they all fit together and we see the lovely picture of the  puzzle completed.  There is no room for denominational differences, it only confuses the sheep and GOD is never the author of confusion.

So go start a house church and keep working on it until it comes together through immersion in the New Testament.  You may not end up being the leader selected by the Holy Spirit.  But make your home a house of prayer and a place of God’s Truth.  The Early Church began on Sat. evening as the Jewish 1st day of the week.  But latter you could find a House Church gathering on every night of the week.   And I am sure the Elders found time to come together to help the Stewards learn to become Deacons to also learn to become Elders as per Eph.4:11-16.   “And [His gifts to the church were varied and] He Himself appointed some as apostles [special messengers, representatives], some as prophets [who speak a new message from God to the people], some as evangelists [who spread the good news of salvation], and some as pastors and teachers [to shepherd and guide and instruct], 12 [and He did this] to fully equip and perfect the saints (God’s people) for works of service, to build up the body of Christ [the church]; 13 until we all reach oneness in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God, [growing spiritually] to become a mature believer, reaching to the measure of the fullness of Christ [manifesting His spiritual completeness and exercising our spiritual gifts in unity]. 14 So that we are no longer children [spiritually immature], tossed back and forth [like ships on a stormy sea] and carried about by every wind of [shifting] doctrine, by the cunning and trickery of [unscrupulous] men, by the deceitful scheming of people ready to do anything [for personal profit]. 15 But speaking the truth in love [in all things—both our speech and our lives expressing His truth], let us grow up in all things into Him [following His example] who is the Head—Christ. 16 From Him the whole body [the church, in all its various parts], joined and knitted firmly together by what every joint supplies, when each part is working properly, causes the body to grow and mature, building itself up [a]in [unselfish] love”   AMP

The novel coronavirus spreading across the world is already at a ‘pandemic’ stage, a top Israeli health official said Thursday, though world health authorities have held off from declaring a global outbreak.  The U.S. Senate voted near unanimously Thursday to approve $8.3 billion in new spending on the U.S. government’s efforts to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus.

One commentary said the virus does not kill the children or the healthy,  but only the old that cumber the system and take up needed resources.  “Though old, I never felt that way before???”

Evangelical Christians continually stand by Donald Trump despite whatever personal issues he may have because they know that Donald Trump and his administration are the only thing standing between them and the secular left looking to flex all of their political, cultural, legal, and financial muscles to banish Christians from exercising their religious beliefs from all aspects of American life save for one hour on Sunday.

SCARS

ALOHA FAMILY & FRIENDS,   Beloved of God and me,   John 3:16-18,  Rom. 10:9-10

SCARS,   “WORTH CONSIDERING”    3/5/19,   by Ken Smith

Today’s Scripture   (In my mailbox this morning.)
“As he spoke, he showed them the wounds in his hands and his side. They were filled with joy when they saw the Lord!” (John 20:20, NLT)

Be at Peace with Your Scars
We all carry invisible scars that come from inner wounds—perhaps from a divorce, from what somebody did, from a mistake we made, from a loss. So often we try to hide our scars. They remind us of the hurt. But you can be at peace with your scars. Those scars are your testimony; they tell your story. Instead of being depressed over what you’ve been through, have a new perspective—the enemy tried to stop you, but God brought you through it, healed you, and you have a scar to prove it. The scars can remind you of His grace and power.

Jesus’ back was lashed with thirty-nine stripes and His hands and feet and side were pierced. When He rose from the dead, you would think He would be perfectly restored, but He still had scars. This was significant. God could have taken them away. Maybe, in part, it was to show us that it’s okay to have scars.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that I worship a Savior who has scars. Since He has scars, I’m okay with my scars. I’m not going to live bitter because of a disappointment, or in regret over past mistakes, or go around sour because somebody did me wrong. I’m at peace with my scars. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken Thoughts:
The key for true sanctification is to see Jesus in His lifetime on earth as one of us except for the Adamic sin nature which we all inherited from Adam but not Jesus.  And He is the key for us in dumping our Adamic sin nature and becoming like HIM.

That our sin nature was not our fault and HE showed us that we, in HIM could be free of it.  That we could decide to change our citizenship from being the children of Adam to being the children of God in Christ Jesus.  That He made the way for us to have total restoration to the original vision of our Creator, scars and all,  to be made in HIS Image and likeness.   That Jesus was the 1st born of many and that we also have been invited to fulfill our original created destiny.   That it is by/through the great and precious promises that we may become partakers of GOD’S divine nature through faith.  That where there is no vision the people perish.  We need to have that Vision of God’s perfection for us restored in real time faith to our hearts.  To be able to have that ultimate victory over sin, we must first deeply believe that it is possible.

Jesus was not deified until after He had overcome the world and even the Cross.   That the Son of Man, Son of God, Second Adam was/is like us during His journey on earth but even brought every thought into the captivity of the Holy Spirit. He was tempted like us in all thing, yet without sin.  Because of His victory He is now in the very likeness and Image of God.    And that God our Heavenly Father wants to give us the same grace, if we want it, to overcome and walk in True Freedom,  Rom.8.

So what we are teaching is pure Bible and has nothing to do with anything but Christ Jesus the anointed one in whose steps we can follow,  if we want to,  and we need to get the vision for it in our heart of hearts.  This is not a mind game.  The Vision must become a core part of us.  Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.  It is the battle of John 12:24-26.  It is the unity of John 17: 20-26  It is the insistence of Eph.4:11-16 and ends in 1  John 4:17

“In this [union and fellowship with Him], love is completed and perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment [with assurance and boldness to face Him]; because as He is, so are we in this world.”           1 John 4:17.

With the onset of the present pandemic it seems obvious that we are now entering into the pre-curser upheaval heading towards the great tribulation…  The prophesy of Jesus in Matt.24-25,  Mark 13 & Luke 21 lays it out for us.   We are heading into the time of trouble where many fall away,  there is a great harvest,  and in the folowing time of false peace we (The Church) go home, victorious. 1 Cor. 15:12-28,  1 Thess. 4:13-18,  2 Thess.2:3-8

California governor declares state of emergency after coronavirus deaths.  The US death toll from coronavirus infections rose to 11 on Wednesday as new cases emerged around New York City and Los Angeles, while Seattle-area health officials sought to allay anxiety amid the nation’s largest outbreak.

Coronavirus, (Note.)
It seems to me that this pandemic is just getting started and it may be confirmed by what Jesus taught us.
It could be a petulance as outlined in Matt.24-25, Mark 13, Luke 21.  It may be the beginning of sorrows and there will be a great falling away, The Church will become Sanctified, Then there will then be a great harvest of souls into God’s Kingdom, A time of false peace and then the Victorious Church of Christ Jesus will be taken home.

I would suggest that you become as self contained as possible and stock supplies for about 6 months + plus garden seeds.  It is amazing the amount of food you can grow in a very small area with the right preparations + sun and water.  Wick/Gutter system watering makes watering and plant care a snap.  But from the time you plant to table is around 4 months.  So if the Islands fall under a quarantine, without Costco, things could become very difficult.  And that is sure to happen.

Also seek to have your immune system supported as much as possible.  The death rate of the virus is about 3 % of those who contact it.   But the mess it will cause in our economy with be horrendous.   Our national economy has already seen about a 20% reduction and it is just getting started.

GOD’S FAVOR,   “WORTH CONSIDERING”
3/4/20   by Ken Smith,   www.Trinity-Aloha.org

Today’s Scripture

“…About this time next year,” Elisha said, “you will hold a son in your arms…”3 Kings 4:16

Who Says it’s Permanent?

In 2 Kings 4, there was a wealthy lady who had been extraordinarily kind to the prophet Elisha. The only thing missing in her life was a child. She was barren and her husband was old. One day Elisha said, “By this time next year, you will hold a son in your arms.” She nearly passed out. She’d tried to have a baby for years. She said, “Please don’t lie to me like that!” She was saying, “How can this happen? It’s impossible.” But God is a supernatural God. He can make things happen out of season. A year later she had her son.

We all have situations that look permanent. All the circumstances say it’s going to take years to get out of debt, years to accomplish that dream, but God is going to surprise you. Don’t believe the lies that say it’s permanent. You may not see anything changing, but stay in faith—you are closer than you think.

A Prayer for Today

“Father, thank You that You are the God who can do the impossible and who loves to surprise us. Thank You that one touch of Your favor can turn around what looks like it will never change. I believe that You are going to do more than I can imagine. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s thoughts:
In reading about Kathryn Kuhlman last night there and was some simplicity that I felt to share.

https://www.google.com/search?q=kathryn+kuhlman&rlz=1C1CHBD_enUS722US722&oq=Kathryn+Kuhlman&aqs=chrome.0.0l8.10015j0j8&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

Shortly after I received the baptism in the Holy Spirit IN 1968,  I found myself drawn to her gatherings in Los Angeles and became an usher and also sang in the choir.  I noticed that she, as a prophetess was very sensitive to the Holy Spirit and greatly enjoyed all the folks who came.  And through the worship music and her presence and the worship that the Holy Spirit would also attend and make Isa. 61:1-3 & Lk.4:18-20 come alive at that time.  As an usher one time I had to lift a man from a wheelchair and place him in a seat.  (No wheelchairs allowed due to Fire Marshall.)  He was nothing but a limp bag of bones and obviously dying.  Later on as the meeting was progressing I saw that same man on the stage with his buddy in his wheel chair with him pushing and racing back and forth across the stage, totally healed.  That was over 50 years ago.  I really miss those days and would love to see them again.  Many of the saints and lost alike need Jesus to return, though His Church and to do again what He did.  With Kathryn, there were no healing lines and no band standing.  She was who she was but all 100 pounds of her totally in the Spirit of God.  And the Holy Spirit would move through the crowds of people and heal according to their faith.  Then they would come forward and share their healing, braces in hand, and be blessed of the LORD.

In Jeremiah we read the following. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:11-13   So  God has good plans for you. This includes giving you a future that you enjoy. He is not planning your downfall And that God will guide us when we draw near to Him with all our heart.  Our Great Creator really loves us and wants to help us to become what He originally created us in Adam to become.  Of course we know all about the fallen Adamic nature that we inherited and we deeply need God’s grace to change our citizenship from being the children of Adam to, in Christ Jesus to be restored to becoming  the children of God.   On our part it is a willingness to die to the lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and the pride of life and make Christ Jesus, actually, our LORD.    Christ Jesus said it this way.
“I assure you and most solemnly say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone [just one grain, never more]. But if it dies, it produces much grain and yields a harvest. 25 The one who loves his life [eventually] loses it [through death], but the one who hates his life in this world [and is concerned with pleasing God] will keep it for life eternal. 26 If anyone serves Me, he must [continue to faithfully] follow Me [without hesitation, holding steadfastly to Me, conforming to My example in living and, if need be, suffering or perhaps dying because of faith in Me]; and wherever I am [in heaven’s glory], there will My servant be also. If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.”
  John 12:24-26. (AMP)

It takes a lot of saturation in and with God’s Holy Truth in faith to be able to put our old carnal Adamic nature to death and enjoy God’s Freedom in Christ Jesus.  So don’t give up,   And it does help to make friends with those who are also seeking the same freedoms and headed the same way.
