CHILDREN CATCH FISH

ALOHA FAMILY & FRIENDS,   Beloved of God and me.    John3:16

CHILDREN CATCH FISH,   “WORTH CONSIDERING” 7/24/20    From Ken<><

Today’s Scripture       (Across my desk this morning from Texas.)
“…He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish…”   John 21:6

Keep Casting Your Net
Peter was an experienced fisherman and had been out in the boat all night. He had worked hard, used his best techniques, threw out the nets just where he thought the fish would be, again and again, hour after hour, but nothing. Early the next morning, a man shouted from the beach to throw the net on the right side of the boat. When they did, they caught so many fish they couldn’t haul the net in. Right then, Peter recognized that the man on the beach was Jesus.  Like Peter, you may have worked hard toward your dreams, done your best, used your expertise, exhausted yourself, and come up empty. But God knows where your fish are. God is saying, “Throw out your nets one more time.” The struggle, the disappointment, and the lack were only tests. Your fish are still there. If you’ll throw out your nets again, God is going to cause those stored up blessings to find you.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that You are the God who spoke worlds into existence, and You know how to get the fish to my net. Thank You that the opportunities, the promotions, the breakthroughs are coming. I’m going to keep believing and casting my net. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Comments:
Trout fishing is one of my top drawer things to do.  Of course when the Holy Spirit sent me to Hawaii I had to trade my love of fishing for trout for a love for fishing for souls.  There are several ways of approaching the subject.  With pride you get skunked and quit but with humility you try to learn what you are doing wrong and ask questions.  Teaching kids between 7 & 12 is a wonderful experience as they are dry sponges and if interested what they suck up into their sponge is with them for life.  But back to fishing, we all have good fishing stories.  Dale, my construction superintendent and  I , decided to take one of our atheist employees trout fishing one week end with my little boat on a big lake in Oregon.  Dale in the bow, me with the motor and the atheist in the middle.  Trout limit for the 3 of us was 30.   Dale and I caught the first 4 fish and then nothing.  But we felt GOD was on our side, at least.  But then the atheist begin to catch trout and we caught nothing and started to give us a hard time as he passed our 4 and kept going.  By the time he was up to about 10 he gave us one horrible time about Jesus helping Peter catch fish but we were such losers, and on and on and on.  We had about an hour left before we had to head for shore.  Dale and I were totally defeated and felt doomed for more harassment for the night.   And then something rose up within me and I almost audible commanded a fish to bite my hook in Jesus Name and immediately I pulled in a big German Brown.  Then in the next ½ hour Dale and I caught about 15 fish to our friends -0- and between us and the Holy Spirit saved the day.   I look back at that experience of many years ago and see how our superficial pride allowed the enemy to initially take the victory from us.  Pride goes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a great fall.   That the Holy Spirit had to wait on us to burn up our pride and in humility and obedience do as we were told.  Often as Christians we keep our cup so full of ourselves that there is really no room for the supernatural presence of Jesus.  He has to wait for us to become as little children before we can enter into the Kingdom of God, now, on planet earth.  Did Jesus not teach us to pray, “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on EARTH, as it is in Heaven.   The Holy Spirit is trying to teach us to do just that while we are still here alive on earth.  It is not a pie in the sky.   The power of God is Here NOW! Wanting to be used for the Glory of God.  You can find this woven all through the New Testament if you want to look for it.  We need to be learning how to walk together in the Holy Spirit in GOD Loving Truth in UNITY to experience HIS Kingdom on earth.  We are being trained, if we will allow it, to learn to walk in the supernatural power of GOD now.  If we will dump our unbelief and fear from our cup and fill our cup with humility, obedience and loving faith and unity in the finished work of Christ Jesus for us on the Cross we just might enjoy going fishing with HIM.  Jn. 17:22.

FAITH & DETERMINATION

ALOHA FAMILY & FRIENDS,  Beloved of God and me,   John 3:14–1

FAITH & DETERMINATION,  “WORTH CONSIDERING” 7/23/20, From Ken<><

Today’s Scripture          (Across my desk today from a big church in Texas.)
…”I applied my heart to what I observed and learned a lesson from what I saw…”  Prov. 24:32

Before You Let Go
When we make poor choices, get into a relationship that we knew would not be good, or get in over our head in our spending, there’s always pain that follows. We talk about how important it is to let go of the past, to let go of the divorce, the failure, the bad break, and that’s true. But before you let go of the negative event, remember the lesson you learned from the experience. You’re doing yourself a disservice if you go through a painful time and don’t come out with what you were supposed to gain. Don’t waste the pain and go through it again.  Are you bringing pain on yourself? Are you struggling with relationships that don’t last, perhaps because you keep saying everything you feel like saying? The pain will stop if you learn the lesson and zip it up. Be big enough to say, “Here’s where I missed it, but I’m not going to do it again.”

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that You are full of mercy, and You always give me the grace to get through the consequences of the mistakes I make. Thank You that there are lessons in the pain that are for my good. Help me to learn and remember. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Comments:
Possible the most difficult part of the Christian walk is family and other Christians.   I have been hurt more by family and other Christians than any thing else in this world.  Of course this has nothing to do with love, Truth, Biblical Faith or Jesus .  But the enemy will keep romping on the pains of the past as being the fault of GOD.  And if we will listen, as Eve was taught at the tree, God is just not fair.  He enjoys making us suffer.  So the lie of sin finds a roost in our head and we go for it and find our selves in pain and all of a sudden, GOD is responsible.  After all, He is God and controls everything RIGHT!!!     So it must be HIS fault.

We have a beautiful book full of information on how to have a healthy eternal soul of light.            But like the directions on a complicated piece of furniture bought from Amazon.   We take all the parts out and start to put things together without following the directions and when finished we have extra parts and a mess.  Do we then go blame the company?  Some do and even kick the boxes. God has given us excellent directions on how to learn to use our freewill so that we can learn not to make heaven look like earth.  It is freewill because we can do as we please with it.  And we find ourselves in a world full of many decisions.   Like the directions in His Book instruct us to be single and celibate until married.  And that we are to not be unequally yoked in the marriage but learn to be like Christ Jesus and HIS Church as in His Kingdom.  But our children are hurting and over ½ of our marriages are falling apart with STD’s  being  rampant.  The Good Book teaches us to bring up a child with the parents being the example of what they can become.  And we send them off to public schools that teach them atheism and immorality.  And we wonder why at puberty when they should be model men and women that they are full of pride, lust and in total rebellion.

Once I had a vision or dream???  I was standing next to a large flat field with a lovely lawn, it looked like about the size of 4 football fields all together.  There was a long white line stretched across the side of the field and on my side of the line were stacked thousands of brown paper square boxes with writing on the top of each box.  Some very large, some very small.   Then as I was thinking what a monster puzzle that was as also being a Gen. Contractor, I wondered where the plans and directions were as it clearly seemed to be the parts and pieces for a very large and beautiful building.  And then all of a sudden there were thousands of people going to the boxes and with no direction at all started to remove the brown paper and toss it to the winds.  My heart sunk and as I watched the folks who felt they were leaders or superintendents began to organize small groups of people and supervise the placing of the parts.    A corner went up here, a door there, a wall another place.  All were very busy but not really talking to each or the other working parties.  It was one big mess of confusion.  And as I was standing there the LORD came up beside me and stretched HIS right arm clear across the field to my left side along the white line and very gently removed all of the parts and people to a gentle pile on my right side of the field.  And HE said, “I will build my Church.”  That vision was given a very long time ago but it seems to me that we are still trying to build the LORD’s Church in our image and not HIS.

If you go through the Bible to understand what HIS Church looks like, It looks like HIM.  It is not a building, it is a people who are like Jesus.  In our Birth from Above we are given the DNA of God by the Holy Spirit.  Faith feeds the DNA, Fear and Unbelief starves the DNA.  So spiritually we really do become what we eat.  John 12:24-26 gives us a good understanding:   Jesus taught:  “ I assure you and most solemnly say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone [just one grain, never more]. But if it dies, it produces much grain and yields a harvest. 25 The one who loves his life [eventually] loses it [through death], but the one who hates his life in this world [and is concerned with pleasing God] will keep it for life eternal. 26 If anyone serves Me, he must [continue to faithfully] follow Me [without hesitation, holding steadfastly to Me, conforming to My example in living and, if need be, suffering or perhaps dying because of faith in Me]; and wherever I am [in heaven’s glory], there will My servant be also. If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.  AMP Bible.

FAITH

ALOHA FAMILY & FRIENDS,   Beloved of God and me,  John 3:14-18

FAITH,    “WORTH CONSIDERING”  7/22/20    From Ken<><   (5 months till Christmas)

Faith:      (Across my desk this morning from Texas.)
“…When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those following him, “Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith…”   (Matthew 8:10, NIV)

What God Marvels At
When a Roman officer came to Jesus and said, “One of my employees is very sick, but you don’t have to come to my house. Just speak the word, and I know he’ll be healed,” Jesus marveled at his faith. In Mark 6, it says that Jesus also marveled at the unbelief He was met with in His hometown. What’s interesting is that the people who doubted were the religious people. They were in the synagogue every week. The Roman officer wasn’t a religious person. He hadn’t been indoctrinated to think that it couldn’t happen. He simply believed that Jesus was the Son of God.  When God looks at you, what does He marvel at? Why don’t you come over into faith? You may think that you’re not religious enough, that God would never help you, but God is not looking for religion. He’s looking for people who simply believe in Him, for people who know that He can do the impossible.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for being the God of miracles and that You’re still on the throne no matter what the doubters say. Help me to believe big, dream big, pray big, and think big. I want to be one of the ones who always believes that You can do the impossible. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Comments:
Actually, this is a very key verse on faith.  The Roman had the best faith that Jesus had found to that point in HIS ministry.  There is individual faith and there is the “Unity of the faith in the bond of peace.”  And we truly can grow in faith.  “Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.”  So time in the Bible, builds faith.  Time in the world, destroys faith.  Jesus could not do many mighty works in Nazareth due to their unbelief.  Nathaniel when hearing about Jesus quickly replied, “Can any good thing come out of Nazareth.”  None of the religious leaders even asked Jesus, where was HE born as they all KNEW he was born in Nazareth….  NOT!!!     So much of what we have been taught in the institutional theater church is really vain traditions and has made the Word of God ineffective as it teaches on faith.  Paul had this to prophesy about the latter day church: 2 Tim. 3:1-6: “ But understand this, that in the last days will come (set in) perilous times of great stress and trouble [hard to deal with and hard to bear].  2 For people will be lovers of self and [utterly] self-centered, lovers of money and aroused by an inordinate [greedy] desire for wealth, proud and arrogant and contemptuous boasters. They will be abusive (blasphemous, scoffing), disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy and profane.  3 [They will be] without natural [human] affection (callous and inhuman), relentless (admitting of no truce or appeasement); [they will be] slanderers (false accusers, troublemakers), intemperate and loose in morals and conduct, uncontrolled and fierce, haters of good.  4 [They will be] treacherous [betrayers], rash, [and] inflated with self-conceit. [They will be] lovers of sensual pleasures and vain amusements more than and rather than lovers of God.  5 For [although] they hold a form of piety (true religion), they deny and reject and are strangers to the power of it [their conduct belies the genuineness of their profession]. Avoid [all] such people [turn away from them].  6 For among them are those who worm their way into homes and captivate silly and weak-natured and spiritually dwarfed women, loaded down with [the burden of their] sins [and easily] swayed and led away by various evil desires and seductive impulses.

And Jesus prophesied this in Rev. 3;14 about the last church:    14 And to the angel (messenger) of the assembly (church) in Laodicea write: These are the words of the Amen, the trusty and faithful and true Witness, the Origin and Beginning and Author of God’s creation:  15 I know your [record of] works and what you are doing; you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were cold or hot!  16 So, because you are lukewarm and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of My mouth!  17 For you say, I am rich; I have prospered and grown wealthy, and I am in need of nothing; and you do not realize and understand that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked.  18 Therefore I counsel you to purchase from Me gold refined and tested by fire, that you may be [truly] wealthy, and white clothes to clothe you and to keep the shame of your nudity from being seen, and salve to put on your eyes, that you may see.  19 Those whom I [dearly and tenderly] love, I tell their faults and convict and convince and reprove and chasten [I discipline and instruct them]. So be enthusiastic and in earnest and burning with zeal and repent [changing your mind and attitude].  20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears and listens to and heeds My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will eat with him, and he [will eat] with Me.  21 He who overcomes (is victorious), I will grant him to sit beside Me on My throne, as I Myself overcame (was victorious) and sat down beside My Father on His throne.  22 He who is able to hear, let him listen to and heed what the [Holy] Spirit says to the assemblies (churches).   Please notice with this last church that Jesus is standing outside knocking to get into supposedly HIS own church.

SEASONS

ALOHA FAMILY & FRIENDS,   Beloved of God and me,   John 3:16

SEASONS     “WORTH CONSIDERING”    7/21/20     From Ken<><

Today’s Scripture
“…For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had…”  (John 5:4, KJV)

He’s Not Limited by Seasons
There was a crippled man who had been lying by the pool of Bethesda for thirty-eight years. The people knew when it was the season for the angel to come. This man knew that was his window of opportunity to get well. One day Jesus came and said to him, “Do you want to get well?” I can imagine the man was confused. It wasn’t the right season for the angel to come. But Jesus said to the man, “Get up, pick up your bed, and walk.” Instantly the man was healed.  Don’t be surprised when God shows up and you aren’t expecting it. God likes to break the rules, so to speak, to do things that we can’t explain. You don’t see any way, the odds are against you. God doesn’t have to wait for the training, for the boss to like you, for the loan to go through, for the economy to improve. He controls the universe. He’s not limited by seasons.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that You’re not limited by seasons, by closed doors, by disappointments, or by my preconceived ideas of how You can work. Thank You that You do things out of the box that I’m not expecting. I’m looking for Your surprises in  In Jesus’ Name,  Amen.”

Ken’s Comments,
Of course in John 5:4 Jesus ignored the season and healed the man.   There is never a season for healing, God is always ready to heal, problem is the matter of faith.   Both individual and collective unbelief can keep healing from happening.  God does not want us to be sick or even to die before we are a healthy 120 yrs. of age as per Gen.6:3.   Our problem is learning to to the maintenance in both thought and deed.  We are what we eat and we become what we think we are.  In our own words, the scriptures teach us, is life and death.  We are in a sick world full of sick thoughts.  Even our entertainment is full of sick stuff.  So I enjoy the concept of being free.  Of getting out of the box.  Of exploring the Holy Scriptures for myself.  And I am not alone, there are many books out there that I am finding that feel the same as I do about finding how to be totally free in God’s Truth and Freedom.   A freedom that avoids the lies of sin and bondage.

We have been created to learn how to become like Jesus.   My most enjoyable moments were when I was close to the LORD and filled with the Holy Spirit.  Felt like walking on clouds….  And some of the stupid sin stuff I did grew weeds for me in my life for many many years.

So let’s think about SEASONS, In Ecclesiastes 1:10 we are taught about times or seasons: So what kind of a season are we in now?  In 1 Thess. 5:1-3 we find these words: “5 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.  2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.  3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.  Also 2 Thess. has much to say on the subject that would be wise to study.  Personally it seems to me that the season of the Gentiles is near over and that we may be quickly heading into Matt.24, Mark 13 and Luke 21.   These chapters are all the same account prophetically of the same coming events or seasons on the world.  The season is quickly changing right before our eyes.  In our country with all of the borrowing and virus issues it seems we may be on a fast track to learning what is really important in our lives and what is not.  Of course, for me, at my age, I would rather burn out that rot out any day.

One of the signs of the season is found in Romans 11:24-26: “For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert grafted contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree?  25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.  26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:”   So one of the seasons after the Age of the Gentiles is the gathering of the Messianic Jews, which is now happening in Israel.  20 years ago they were estimated to be around 5,000, in 2017 they had grown to 20,000.  in Israel alone.
https://jewsforjesus.org/publications/havurah/messianic-jews-in-modern-israel/

So some of the signs that are noted in scripture for the next season are: earthquakes, famine, pestilence (virus), exit from the Rev.3:14 church where Jesus is outside, wars and rumors of wars, Peace Movements,  Jews back in the land and Jews beginning to find Jesus as LORD.   Read:  Matt. 24-25.  Might be thinking about putting on some very white linen soon for the jump to light speed.  My paper on: “The Coming of the King.” is available upon request for free.  ken@trinity-aloha.org

BREATH OF GOD

ALOHA FAMILY & FRIENDS,  from Ken<><  Kealia, Hawaii.

BREATH OF GOD,    WORTH CONSIDERING     7/20/20,     From Ken<><

Today’s Scripture   (In my mailbox today from Texas.)
“…Then he said to me, “Prophesy over these bones, and say to them, O dry bones, hear the word of the LORD. Thus says the Lord GOD to these bones: Behold I will cause breath to enter you, and you shall live…”   (Ezekiel 37:4–5, ESV)

Ezekiel saw a vision of a valley filled with bones. It was like a huge graveyard of bones from people who had died. Bones represent things in our life that look dead, situations that seem impossible and permanently unchanging. God said, “Prophesy to these dead bones.” Ezekiel started speaking to the bones, telling them to come alive. As he was speaking, the bones started rattling and coming together, morphing back into people. Finally, breath came into those bodies, and they stood up like “a vast army.”  You may have things in your life that seem dead—a relationship, a business, your health. All you can see is a valley of dry bones, so to speak. It’s not enough to just pray about it; you need to speak to it. Prophesy to those dead bones. Call in health. Call in abundance. Call in restoration. God will resurrect what looks dead. He’ll make things happen that you could never make happen.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that I can speak to the things in my life that seem dead, and You will breathe life into them and bring resurrection. I believe that as I speak words of faith, You will make things happen that I could never make happen. In Jesus’ Name, A Today’s

Ken’s Comments:
“…Then he said to me, “Prophesy over these bones, and say to them, O dry bones, hear the word of the LORD. Thus says the Lord GOD to these bones: Behold I will cause breath to enter you, and you shall live…”  (Ezekiel 37:4–5, ESV)  (For me this is a prophesy concerning Jesus and Us as well as the O.T. saints.  After 3 days the body of Jesus was called forth like Lazareth and eventually you and I if we are immersed and saturated in Christ Jesus. Wow!!!  Just remembering some of the other times in scripture where “Breath” is mentioned. Over 87 times in the Holy Bible.  The oldest scriptures that we have with us:   Job 33:3-4:   “My words will express the uprightness of my heart,  And my lips will speak what they know with utter sincerity.  4. “The Spirit of God has made me, And the breath of [a] the Almighty gives me life [which inspires me].  Of course from the beginning time line we find man in the process of being created from the dust of the earth and becoming a “Living” soul by the Breath of God, Gen.2:7.  But through pride, rebellion and disobedience Adam’s soul died exactly as he was warned in Gen.2:17.  And all us after Adam were born spiritually dead and some of you who are reading this right now are still spiritually dead, lacking the breath of God in your life.  The first thing that Christ Jesus did, in HIS resurrection, was to breath on HIS disciples and restore the Breath of God which had been lost in the fall of man in Adam, John 20:22.   So God also made an option for us on how to become in the Image and Likeness of GOD, which was the original vision.  For 4,000 man had faith in an animal sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins, as did Able,.  And in the resurrection of Christ Jesus the sacrifice has already been made, Isa 53.  Now we look back 2,000 years for when sacrifice was made.  And now the Holy Spirit who has the anointing of life can move back into our clay houses and became eternal life itself in and with us and also help up clean house.  Jesus taught on this in John 3.   It was eight days later, after the 10 desciples, that Thomas became a Christian when he confessed, “My LORD and my GOD” John 20:28.  In verse 20:31 John writes: But these are written, that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God: and that believing ye might have life through HIS name.

It is interesting that the little word believe is much stronger in the Greek than in the English.  In the Greek of the New Testament believe means to be like trusting to a chair.  “To trust in, rely upon and cling to.”   I am sitting in a desk chair at this moment.  And I totally trust it.  I have set in it for hundreds of hours now for many years in writing to you.  If it went down, I would go with it.  No doubt at all that I would be on the floor.  The word in the Greek in the above scripture of John 20:31 has the same kind of meaning.  That if you are really a Christian you are totally trusting yourself to Christ Jesus as you would a chair. You are searching the scriptures to find out what HE would like you to help with in HIS Kingdom.  Some of the first words in the prayer that he gave us as an outline were, “Thy Kingdom Come, Thy will be done on earth as in heaven.  We tend to seek to build our little kingdoms and then try to make HIM responsibile ?  That really won’t fly at all as it does not have the Breath of God under the wings.  The word Pneuma in the Greek was translated Holy Spirit which literally means:  breath, wind, to blow, breathe.

In Hawaii the word Aloha means to give breath.  Alo= give,   Ha + breath.  They called the whalers and traders “Haole” which means, breath-less or no-breath.  It was a very accurate definition.  I wonder how many of you, from God’s point of view are haole and  yet without the breath of God?   That you are still a child of Adam in this world of stuff?  You were created to enjoy serving God and to help build the Kingdom of Jesus.

REVIVAL    “WORTH CONSIDERING”   7/17/20       From Ken<>< Aloha Family and Friends, this came across my desk this morning and felt well worth sending along.  My prayer is that those of you who are really Christians that you will look up the Bible Verses suggested and spend some time with George on this one.  We are so really in deep need a national revival.   Yours, in HIS great love,   Ken<><   www.Trinity-Aloha.org
WHY NO REVIVALS in THE WEST? – 10 Reasons by George Otis jr.
1. EXTERNAL DISTRACTIONS Attention is the building block of intimacy, but many of us are finding our computers and cell phones more irresistible than quality time with God. It is not overt rejection that repels God´s presence, but rather momentary distraction with lesser things…
2. INTERNAL OFFENSES The Western Church has developed an astonishing, and highly unfortunate, tolerance for disunity. Instead of teaching and practicing forgiveness, we have adopted our culture´s penchant for demanding rights and living in a state of perpetual offence. Others have become self-appointed guardians of orthodoxy, criticizing and distancing themselves from those who do notmeasure up. (Isaiah 58:9; Galatians 5:15; 1 Corinthians 12:21-27; Hebrews 12:15)
3. NO SENSE OF COMMUNITY Whereas many of the world´s tribal and clan-based cultures are able to make sense of corporate repentance, the fragmented, individualized West struggles. (Nehemiah 4:14; Acts 2:43-47, 4:32-35)
4. COMFORT ORIENTATION… Oriented toward comfort and convenience, they are glad to receive revival so long as it does not require them to break stride. In their minds, preparations should be pain-free and part-time. (Haggai 1:2-4; Luke 8:14; Philippians 3:18-19; 2 Timothy 4:10)
5. LIMITING THEOLOGY Some Westerners view human preparation for revival as a presumptuous encroachment upon God´s sovereignty. They insist spiritual awakening is the product of arbitrary dictate, meaning that faith does not enter the equation. One can only hope that God might, one day, choose to visit. But where there are no principles to apply, no guidelines to follow, no promises to expect, and no certainty of success, the likely outcome is diminished expectations and lamentable apathy. (2 Chronicles 7:14-15; Hosea 6:3; 2 Corinthians 6:2)
6. ABSENCE OF HOLINESS Although sin is present in all countries and cultures, those living in the Western world are subject to temptations unprecedented in their sophistication, availability, and persistence. Like Achan, we have found ways to hide “devoted things” in our tents. Unlike Achan, our individualized culture makes it more likely these choices will go unchecked – which is why more than half of all U.S. pastors report struggles with pornography. (Joshua 7:11-12; Isaiah 59:2; Psalm 24:3-4, 66:17-19; James 4:8-9)
7. PRAYERLESSNESS Despite the advent of the 24/7 prayer movement, many Western believers maintain only marginal contact with their Heavenly Father. It is a curious neglect that has prompted prayer leader Eddie Smith to say, “Jesus is the only bridegroom I know whose bride will hardly speak to him.” Unfortunately, the very nature of revival precludes it from being welcomed by a prayerless people.  (Isaiah 43:22; Hosea 7:13-14; James 4:2)
8. IGNORANCE OF THE PAST Modern Westerners like to style themselves as “forward-thinking” or “progressive” in outlook. Few possess the slightest understanding of the spiritual continuum they are part of. Fewer still show any interest….
9. RELIANCE ON PROGRAMS For Western Christians beset with lingering doubts about God´s willingness to reveal his thoughts and presence, the way of revival is untested and often delayed. Program planning, on the other hand, offers immediate gratification. The catch is that earnest activity is often substituted for genuine change leaving communities improved, but untransformed. (Jeremiah 17:50; 1 Corinthians 2:1-5)
10. LACK OF DESPERATION Christian writer Norman Grubb once said: “Until there is a conviction of need, there can never be a desire for change.” For many Westerners, desperation is an unattractive and unnecessary condition. We prefer to view problems as challenges to be conquered rather than emergencies requiring immediate and radical action. Swollen with options and possessed with a false sense of time, we allow incrementalism to supplant urgency. (2 Kings 13:18-19; Ezekiel 9:3-4, 9; Daniel 9:13; Zephaniah 1:12)

PEACE & AUTHORITY

ALOHA FAMILY & FRIENDS,  Beloved of God and me…    Rom. 10:9-10

PEACE & AUTHORITY,   “WORTH CONSIDERING” 7/16/20,   From Ken<><     (In my mail box from Texas this morning,  a good word.)

Today’s Scripture
“…with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood among [the disciples] and said, “Peace be with you!…”   (John 20:19, NIV)

From Worst to Best
We celebrate Good Friday each year, but on the day when Jesus was crucified, the disciples thought it was the worst day of their lives. “Tragic Friday” would have been their description. The One whom they had devoted their lives to was dead and buried in a tomb. But a few days later, when Jesus rose from the dead, they realized that He was who He’d said He was. He had defeated the enemy and brought salvation to mankind. What they’d thought was the worst day of their lives became the best.

We all face times when a dream dies, a relationship ends, we come down with an illness—nothing about the situation seems good. It may not be good right now, but God knows how to bring it all together. You may think it is going to stop you, set you back, and cause you heartache. If you’ll stay in faith, one day you’ll look back and say it was good.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that You see the big picture for my life and that You use difficulties for my good. Help me to be patient and trusting when things happen that I don’t understand. I believe that You will bring it all together for my good. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Comments
In Christ Jesus we are called to walk in HIS peace and rest.   And to be ready to serve HIM on any needed level,  HE is the LORD.  One job is not above another if flowing in the Holy Spirit with others.  It is in us flowing together in the Holy Spirit that the world sees Jesus in our collective unity and HIS power.  All parts are necessary.  None of the Ministry Offices are above or below the other.  If it is evangelism then the one anointed as an Evangelist need to take the helm.   Like the captain of a ship will allow a river pilot to take control over his ship if the pilot knows more about the river than he does.   Humility and Obedience are always at work in the Holy Spirit.  We should not care what we are called to do in the LORD’S house as long as we are in the same house with HIM.  Dishes need washing, great.  Trash to the dump, like to help.  I want to help.    But our identity is in Christ Jesus and not in what we do.  There are no badges or titles unless confirmed by the Holy Spirit in power.  Sometimes HE may have us active in each of the 5 ministries at one time or another.  Seems I am better at doing some things than others.  I don’t feel I make a good pastor in holding a church together.   My personality a little too scruffy for that,  but at times the LORD has had me pastor anyway.  And looking at my past and what the Holy Spirit has had me do, it has mostly been in sharing the overview of the vision for HIS Universal Church and in starting new ministries with others working with me.

So be sensitive as to the flow of respect or adoration as to Ministers.  Some folks are masters at self lifting and making themselves look good in the eyes of others and may not be called to be ministers at all.  Listen to their words, do they really lift up Jesus and make HIM the center.  Do thay make HIM more respected and  bring adoration to HIM as LORD?  Notice that Jesus appoints HIS ministers through the Holy Spirit.  They are not self appointed nor do they need to tell others what they are called in ministry.  The ministry will be obvious in the Holy Spirit and makes spiritual proof of itself in power.   That was one of the issues I had with brothers proclaiming their own ministry,  I did not see the fruit or their ministry as Biblically defined????  They seemed to simple to want authority and to supervise and organize others.  A prophet is God’s voice and speaks for HIM as needed in any given situation.  The office is not a program nor a discipline.  When under the anointing it is to share the very voice of God and the voice always centers in Loving affirmation, corrections and lifting up of Jesus and not the person speaking.  An apostle is a builder with the overview of the Lord’s Church.  A Prophet speaks for God as also supported by scripture.   An evangelist has a deep love for souls and obvious power.  A pastor is a guardian and protector of a small flock and knows all by name.  A teacher is a searcher and sharer of GOD’S TRUTH.  When all are working in loving unity we then get to see Jesus alive among us in power.

Ephesians 4:11-16  Amplified Bible   (Please saturate your mind with these thoughts.)
11 And [His gifts to the church were varied and] He Himself appointed some as apostles [special messengers, representatives], some as prophets [who speak a new message from God to the people], some as evangelists [who spread the good news of salvation], and some as pastors and teachers [to shepherd and guide and instruct], 12 [and He did this] to fully equip and perfect the saints (God’s people) for works of service, to build up the body of Christ [the church]; 13 until we all reach oneness in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God, [growing spiritually] to become a mature believer, reaching to the measure of the fullness of Christ [manifesting His spiritual completeness and exercising our spiritual gifts in unity]. 14 So that we are no longer children [spiritually immature], tossed back and forth [like ships on a stormy sea] and carried about by every wind of [shifting] doctrine, by the cunning and trickery of [unscrupulous] men, by the deceitful scheming of people ready to do anything [for personal profit]. 15 But speaking the truth in love [in all things—both our speech and our lives expressing His truth], let us grow up in all things into Him [following His example] who is the Head—Christ. 16 From Him the whole body [the church, in all its various parts], joined and knitted firmly together by what every joint supplies, when each part is working properly, causes the body to grow and mature, building itself up [a] in [unselfish] love.

ALOHA FAMILY AND FRIENDS,   Beloved of God and me.  John 17:20-22     7/15/20   From Ken<><

We all have a freewill.  You may feel empty in your soul,  GOOD!!!   To me that means freedom from flesh attachments and you are open for the Holy Spirit to fill you with Jesus.  When we are full of Adam, there is no room for anything else.   You can not put anything into a full cup.  Reminds me of an old song of the revivals of the 1970’s   “Fill my cup”  Please take time to listen,  it will be worth it to you.        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4l2yY2r95g

So though you may be feeling alone, you are not alone ,  you may just be getting ready to be found complete in HIM.

Until now you have not asked [the Father] for anything in My name; but now ask and keep on asking and you will receive, so that your joy may be full and complete.

For those whom He foreknew [and loved and chose beforehand], He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son [and ultimately share in His complete sanctification], so that He would be the firstborn [the most beloved and honored] among many believers.

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective]. It is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating as far as the division of the soul and spirit [the completeness of a person], and of both joints and marrow [the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and judging the very thoughts and intentions of the heart.

May the LORD equip you with every good thing to carry out His will and strengthen you [making you complete and perfect as you ought to be], accomplishing in us that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

So please look to the Holy Spirit from Christ Jesus for your completion and not the lies of this world.   And as a man or woman to become like Jesus.  And perhaps,  for a goodly husband or wife to assist as per Prov.31:10-31 as prepared for you by the Holy Spirit.  It Teaches in scripture that one shall put a 1,000 to flight (demons) and the unity of two shall put 10,000 to flight.  So the synergy of unity geometrically increases the power factor for doing Kingdom work for Jesus as we find real John 17 unity 500%.   So if you have a call on your life for assisting someone. find someone who is really close to, humble and obedient to Christ Jesus as LORD in GOD’S TRUTH,  that is good as we all first need to learn humility and obedience.  And  I pray that their white clothing may be valid and not just an act to secure authority over you.  So in all things rest in the Lord and don’t lean to your own understanding.  Jesus came to give us God’s Truth to set us free,  truly free, free in every way to serve HIM.  So never let anyone place you in a little box of religious traditions.  We are created to learn in humility and obedience to choose to use our freewill in that total freedom to serve the Living God, our Creator,  in Love.

Jesus told us that straight is the way to Eternal Life and that not many would find it.   Sure hope that you do.  The vision promised far outweighs the stuff that needs to be cut loose.  A new physical body that is eternal and without pain for one.
Hebrews 12:1

Jesus, the Example

Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who by faith have testified to the truth of God’s absolute faithfulness], stripping off every unnecessary weight and the sin which so easily and cleverly entangles us, let us run with endurance and active persistence the race that is set before us, …

LIGHT & DARKNESS

ALOHA FAMILY AND FRIENDS,  Beloved of God and me.   John 12:24-26

LIGHT & DARKNESS,    “WORTH CONSIDERING” 7/14/20     Ken<><    (This one will kick up some dust.)

Today’s Scripture   ( In my mail this morning from Texas.)
“…And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. God saw that the light was good…”
(Genesis 1:3–4, NIV)

Find the Good
When God created the heavens and the earth on the first day, He said, “Let there be light,” and light came. There were no skies, no animals, and the earth was formless and empty, but God said it was “good.” An observer would have said, “God, it’s not good; it’s a mess. Nothing is in order.” And He would have responded, “Don’t worry. You’re only seeing day one. Wait till you see what it looks like when it’s ‘very good’ at the end of day six.”

Sometimes we’re so focused on our flaws, weaknesses, shortcomings, and how we should be further along that it holds us back. You need to focus on what you’re doing right. Find the good along the way; thank Him for the partial. If you don’t celebrate the good in day one, in the season that you’re in, you won’t see day two. If you’ll be grateful for the good, God will get you to very good.

A Prayer for Today
Father, thank You that You created the heavens and earth, and You made me as well. Thank You that You’re not finished working in my life, and I celebrate the good. I believe that as I give thanks for the good that You will get me to very good. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Ken’s thoughts,
Generally light is seen to be God through the scriptures.  His light would be impossible to experience in these temporary frail bodies that we live in as we explore this temporary dimension of free will in time.  Think about the sun x 10 in brightness, you have an idea of our Creator.

God Is Light:   “1 John 1:5-10
5 “This is the message [of God’s promised revelation] which we have heard from Him and now announce to you, that God is Light [He is holy, His message is truthful, He is perfect in righteousness], and in Him there is no darkness at all [no sin, no wickedness, no imperfection]. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness [of sin], we lie and do not practice the truth; 7 but if we [really] walk in the Light [that is, live each and every day in conformity with the precepts of God], as He Himself is in the Light, we have [true, unbroken] fellowship with one another [He with us, and we with Him], and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin [by erasing the stain of sin, keeping us cleansed from sin in all its forms and manifestations]. 8 If we say we have no sin [refusing to admit that we are sinners], we delude ourselves and the truth is not in us. [His word does not live in our hearts.] 9 If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just [true to His own nature and promises], and will forgive our sins and cleanse us continually from all unrighteousness [our wrongdoing, everything not in conformity with His will and purpose]. 10 If we say that we have not sinned [refusing to admit acts of sin], we make Him [out to be] a liar [by contradicting Him] and His word is not in us.

So in this life only we have the opportunity to use our free will to seek out God’s Truth in Light and walk it out.  However most of us live in a mansion with many rooms and we rationalize and are very good at hypocrisy (acting).  We are different when with different people due to our fear of rejection or fear of missing out.  So Christ Jesus has sent the Holy Spirit to help us clean house if we want HIS grace and much needed help.   When we make Christ Jesus our LORD HE saves us but then there is the process of getting us ready to live in the light of God and to clean out all the rooms so that we can walk in the integrity of who we are meant to become in Christ Jesus regardless of circumstances or even death,  John 12:24-26.    Being really born again spiritually from above begins the process of dumping all the junk that we have inherited from Adam or have gathered up to ourselves in this world of lust and deceit.   Replacing the foreign parts with originals will take commitment. “He that endures to the end shall be saved.”  Matt. 24:12-14.

So now to upset some of you Bible Thumpers.  Personally I feel that the details in Genesis by Moses may have some translation issues.  The plants were on the 3rd day the sun, moon and stars were on the 4th day.  This is not logical except with restoration.  Why did God tell Adam to replenish and subdue the world (K.J.) if he was the only human.  It is my feeling that Adam and Eve were different than any before them and the FIRST of God’s NEW Creation to be in HIS image and likeness as a living eternal soul.  In Isa.28:14 we find that lucifer was the anointed cherub that covered (had responsibility of our earth) and in 18 he was found to defile his sanctuaries (dwelling places).  In Isa. 14:17 we find that lucifer’s defection made the world as a wilderness and destroyed the cities.  As God is a God of light did HE create the world in darkness in Gen.1:2 after He had created the heavens and earth in Gen.1:1 in light?  And in pre-flood the Sons of God (of Adam) Gen.6:4 found the women left from lucifer’s covering that were still alive outside of the Garden,  some in the land of Nod.   It is very obvious that the world of homosapians  has been around a long time before Adam.  But Adam was the new beginning of our Creator’s children and their redemption.  With the advent of Jesus 4,000 years later we see this clearly.  And Jesus became the 1st born of woman and replaces Adam in the restoration of all things and now is in the very image of God.  So God is still on track with HIS original vision to make man in HIS IMAGE and LIKENESS, Gen.1:26   He has not given up.   His offer is still good.  “16 “I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you and to give you assurance of these things for the churches. I am the Root (the Source, the Life) and the Offspring of David, the radiant and bright Morning Star.”  17 The [Holy] Spirit and the bride (the church, believers) say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wishes take and drink the water of life without cost. Rev.22

Now before you get out the hot tar kettle and pluck the old hen for feathers, give this some cogitation time.  Don’t come at me with yesterdays traditions, think it through.  Vain traditions have made the Word of God, ineffective.   You wonder why there is no power in the LORD’s Church,  He is outside knocking to get in.   I was an earth science major, this works for me.   Plants use the moon as a clock.  The old civilizations of Australia go back much further than 6,000 years.  Even Egypt easily dates back to 6,500 BC or before.  And I do know that science is sometimes fictional.  Darwin, at the end of his life, wrote that evolution was unproven and unprovable.  I believe our timeless Creator with absolute foreknowledge has enjoyed bringing HIS dream to this point in our time.  And we are all invited to become part of it if we want to.  And we have all been given a totally free will to decide it for ourselves just as Adam did.

Yours in HIS great love and wonderful grace and mercy, Ken<><   www.Trinity-Aloha.org
