LIFE IN ABUNDANCE
LIFE IN ABUNDANCE, “WORTH CONSIDERING, 6/25/20 From Ken<><
Today’s Scripture
“…But you, LORD, sit enthroned forever; your renown endures through all generations. You will arise and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show favor to her; the appointed time has come…” (Psalm 102:12–13, NIV)
Your Set Time
In the first eleven verses of Psalm 102, the psalmist goes into great detail listing all his troubles, telling how miserable he is. Just when you think he’s ready to give up, he wrote today’s Scripture. In the midst of his sad song, he recognized that God was still on the throne, and he knew there was a set time for favor in his future. God was saying to His people, “Don’t worry, things are about to change. You’ve come into your set time of favor. I will arise and have compassion.” In your set time of favor, God will step in against your enemies and scatter them. When He arises, sickness will be defeated, addictions will be broken, and lack, poverty, and struggle will come to an end. He’s going before you clearing the path where you couldn’t go before, pushing back the forces of darkness. The enemies you’ve seen in the past you will see no more. It’s your set time for freedom, for wholeness.
A Prayer for Today
Father, thank You that You are enthroned forever, and You have set this time of favor for me. Thank You that You are giving me power to do what I couldn’t do. I believe You are fighting my battles, preparing the way for me to step up to the next level. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Ken’s Thoughts,
So here it seems that the Palmist is sharing God’s time of ultimate compassion on Zion. One of the small mountains on where Jerusalem is established.. Also to mean the Children of Israel. So for me this is a prophesy concerning the 1,000 year millennium Kingdom of Christ Jesus on Earth after the Seven Years of the Great Tribulation. Not really a personal prophesy at all. And it is in being careful about context that helps us really understand the Holy Bible for faith, practice and doctrine. We are taught by the Holy Bible to not get caught up in what others say that the Bible says. Our libraries and Churches today are filled with books and traditions that make the Truth of God, ineffective and powerless. We tend to try to support our experience in the pride of believing we are OK as we are before God. He does accept and love us as the children of Adam but then also has a vision for us for our conversion to step up to the plate of faith and become like Jesus. John 3:14-18.
.”Where there is no vision the people perish” [Proverbs 29:18]. Has the Lord given you a vision? Has He given you an assignment to accomplish? Now is the time to find and lay hold of HIS vision for you and to fulfill your calling. It may not happen as you planned or expected…but be confident of this fact…that your work in the Lord is not in vain as guided by the Holy Spirit!
So are we to settle for what the Lord has already accomplished? It’s always nice to be reminded of how God has already used us – but we must never lose sight of what He still wants to do with us in the future, and how He may want to build upon what He has already done in the past. So renew your vision of His will in humility and obedience and faith for your life, for your future, – and walk it out… God does have a plan and a purpose for our creation, each and every one of us. And there is Joy and fulfillment in the vision of God. We have been invited to be Jr. Partners with our Creator in the Building of the Kingdom of God. First we are experiencing the confusion and chaos of Adam’s pride and rebellion and learning how to gain the victory over our carnal nature that we inherited from Adam. Only with us instead of having a garden ful of good stuff to eat with one NO! Tree. Adam has made the world full of NO! Trees and now we have only one YES! Tree, The Cross of Christ Jesus. In Adam the whole human race was sold into sin but in Christ Jesus we are all invited to learn to walk in Christ Jesus as LORD and gain the victory over sin. Jesus taught it this way:
“ I am the Bread of Life [that gives life—the Living Bread]. 49 Your forefathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and [yet] they died. 50 [But] this is the Bread that comes down from heaven, so that [any]one may eat of it and never die. 51 I [Myself] am this Living Bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this Bread, he will live forever; and also the Bread that I shall give for the life of the world is My flesh (body). 52 Then the Jews angrily contended with one another, saying, How is He able to give us His flesh to eat? 53 And Jesus said to them, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, you cannot have any life in you unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood [unless you appropriate His life and the saving merit of His blood]. 54 He who feeds on My flesh and drinks My blood has (possesses now) eternal life, and I will raise him up [from the dead] on the last day.55 For My flesh is true and genuine food, and My blood is true and genuine drink. 56 He who feeds on My flesh and drinks My blood dwells continually in Me, and I [in like manner dwell continually] in him. 57 Just as the living Father sent Me and I live by (through, because of) the Father, even so whoever continues to feed on Me [whoever takes Me for his food and is nourished by Me] shall [in his turn] live through and because of Me. 58 This is the Bread that came down from heaven. It is not like the manna which our forefathers ate, and yet died; he who takes this Bread for his food shall live forever. John 6:48-58. “Now on the final and most important day of the Feast, Jesus stood, and He cried in a loud voice, If any man is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink! 38 He who believes in Me [who cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Me] as the Scripture has said, From his innermost being shall flow [continuously] springs and rivers of living water. 39 But He was speaking here of the Spirit, Whom those who believed (trusted, had faith) in Him were afterward to receive. For the [Holy] Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified (raised to honor). “ Jn. 7:37-39. “Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread and, [b] praising God, gave thanks and asked Him to bless it to their use, and when He had broken it, He gave it to the disciples and said, Take, eat; this is My body. 27 And He took a cup, and when He had given thanks, He gave it to them, saying, Drink of it, all of you; 28 For this is My blood of the new covenant, which [[c] ratifies the agreement and] is [d] being poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.” Matt. 26:26-28
So due to Adam’s ingesting the forbidden fruit in the Garden with death following. We now need to ingest Christ Jesus to have that eternal life with GOD restored. This means to totally put on Christ Jesus, To become like HIM in all that we do and all that we say. NO HYPOCRISY !
Obviously we need GOD’S Loving Grace and a very strong Bible based faith to do this.
Yours, in HIS great love and wonderful grace and mercy, Ken<>< www.Trinity-Aloha.org
