THANKSGIVING “WORTH CONSIDERING” 11/26/20 From Ken<><

Today’s Scripture (Across my desk this morning from a Church in Texas.)
Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. (Psalm 100:4, NIV)

Enter with Thanksgiving
What an amazing privilege we have to serve a personal God who desires a relationship with us. But notice that today’s Scripture tells us that we shouldn’t come empty-handed to the King of kings and the Lord of lords. What do we have to give that’s worthy of Almighty God? Our praise. Our thanksgiving. Our worship. We should always enter His gates with an offering of thanksgiving from our hearts. Praise isn’t just about singing songs in church. Praise is the expression of gratefulness to God for Who He is and all that He has done. Praise gets God’s attention. Praise is a powerful tool in our life because God inhabits the praises of His people! When we enter His presence the right way, He enters our circumstances; and when God shows up, the enemy must flee! Today, enter into His gates with thanksgiving and open the door for Him to move on your behalf!

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that I can come to You with a heart full of thanksgiving. I have so much to be grateful for because of Your goodness. You are good, and Your mercy endures forever! Thank You for doing exceedingly abundantly above all I could ever ask or imagine. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Comments,
Thankfulness is rather a deep and intense subject. Seems it should be simple concerning the good things that come our way, especially in this country. We have had it so good for so long that we have no idea, really of how the other half of the world lives. And Apostle Paul give us a prophesy in 2 Tim.3 about it as follows: But understand this, that in the last days dangerous times [of great stress and trouble] will come [difficult days that will be hard to bear]. 2 For people will be lovers of self [narcissistic, self-focused], lovers of money [impelled by greed], boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy and profane, 3 [and they will be] unloving [devoid of natural human affection, calloused and inhumane], irreconcilable, malicious gossips, devoid of self-control [intemperate, immoral], brutal, haters of good, 4 traitors, reckless, conceited, lovers of [sensual] pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 holding to a form of [outward] godliness (religion), although they have denied its power [for their conduct nullifies their claim of faith]. Avoid such people and keep far away from them. And also in Romans 1: For [God does not overlook sin and] the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who in their wickedness suppress and stifle the truth, 19 because that which is known about God is evident within them [in their inner consciousness], for God made it evident to them. 20 For ever since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through His workmanship [all His creation, the wonderful things that He has made], so that they [who fail to believe and trust in Him] are without excuse and without defense. 21 For even though [d] they knew God [as the Creator], they did not [e] honor Him as God or give thanks [for His wondrous creation]. On the contrary, they became worthless in their thinking [godless, with pointless reasonings, and silly speculations], and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools, 23 and exchanged the glory and majesty and excellence of the immortal God for [f] an image [worthless idols] in the shape of mortal man and birds and four-footed animals and reptiles. 24 Therefore God gave them over in the lusts of their own hearts to [sexual] impurity, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them [abandoning them to the degrading power of sin], 25 because [by choice] they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen…” and much more on the subject in that chapter of introduction to the Church in Rome.

But the real difficulty comes in having the attitude of being blessed and to be thankful for any and all persecution that comes our way as HIS light shines through us in this world of the darkness of the lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and pride of life. It is to have faith at that time and to be thankful to be called to suffer that others might see HIM in us. We often tend to hide and to adjust our life style so that the world can not see Jesus in us and we can stay out of trouble. The Word of God tells us that any one that lives Godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. So if there is no persecution, you may want to evaluate the LIGHT factor in your life. The darkness of this world hated the LIGHT that Jesus brought to earth. It will be the same for us if we are for real a True Christian.

Worthy Brief <worthybrief@worthynetwork.com> The U.S president of an influential Christian broadcaster warned Wednesday that American churches could face similar persecution as denominations in Algeria. The Trump legal team has a “mountain” of evidence showing voting fraud that the public has yet to see and could tilt the election away from President-elect Joe Biden, according to Rudy Giuliani. The Israel Defense Forces have in recent weeks been instructed to prepare for the possibility that the U.S. will conduct a military strike against Iran before President Trump leaves office, senior Israeli officials tell me. The Trump administration plans to tighten sanctions on Tehran during its final months in power, the top US envoy on Iran said on Wednesday, as he urged President-elect Joe Biden to use the leverage to press for a deal that reduces the regional and nuclear threats posed by the Islamic Republic. (Of course this is a lie as we have seen by past experiences with Iran.) Ken

I personally believe that Trump actually won the election but if not returned to power that we can expect some very difficult times. With the Biden administration headed into socialism we can expect any savings to be raided. And the value of the dollar to collapse very quickly.

Thanksgiving History

THANKSGIVING: (Have a wonderful time of thanksgiving.) Ken<><

Thanksgiving is the oldest national holiday in the United States. However, its observation is not a continuous presence in American history. While the celebration of Thanksgiving predates even the founding of the nation, it was proclaimed by George Washington, then ignored by Thomas Jefferson. From then on, it was sporadically observed until Abraham Lincoln, who once again introduced a National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving to the United States.

Indeed, it was Lincoln who set the day as the last Thursday in November. President Franklin Delano Roosevelt changed the day between 1939 and 1941, which was highly controversial. The days were called “Franksgiving.” Roosevelt changed the date because retailers communicated to him through the Retail Dry Goods Association and the Secretary of Commerce, that the late date of Thanksgiving that year (the last day of November) might negatively impact retail sales. It was considered bad form to put up Christmas decorations or put on Christmas sales before Thanksgiving.

If only we still lived in such times.

In 1942, Congress set Thanksgiving as the fourth Thursday of the month, and here it has stood since then.
The Early Days of Thanksgiving

Harvest feasts date back centuries, with the earliest “thanksgiving” celebrations in the New World dating to the 16th Century with the French and the Spanish. The Commonwealth of Virginia had regular celebrations of this type dating back to 1607. The first permanent settlement, Jamestown, Virginia, had a thanksgiving celebration in the year of its founding, 1610.

Of course, anytime someone says “Thanksgiving,” one immediately thinks of the Pilgrims. “Thanksgiving” as we know it is generally dated back to when the Pilgrims first celebrated it in 1621. This was in response to a successful harvest, however, it was not the first of a consistent celebration. The Pilgrims celebrated this only sporadically.

No one is entirely sure when the Thanksgiving celebration took place. There was a three-day celebration following their harvest, sometime between September 21 and November 11, with the Feast of Michaelmas (September 29) being the most likely date. We do, however, know that all 50 surviving Mayflower passengers were there, as well as 90 Native Americans. The feast was cooked primarily by four women, all of whom were on the Mayflower. Two years later, in 1623, following another boat of colonists arriving, the first civil (not religious) Thanksgiving took place in July.
The Revolution to the Civil War

The day of national Thanksgiving jumped around until the founding of the nation. During the late Colonial period, the Continental Congress merely recommended the day be celebrated by the various colonies. Samuel Adams drafted the first national proclamation, issued in 1777 – something to remember when you tip back one of his beers while watching the game. Revolutionary Commander General George Washington set the date in December of that year to celebrate early revolutionary victories.

In 1789, President George Washington would proclaim November 26, 1789, to be a National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving. This day also provides the roots for America’s National Day of Prayer. In 1795, Thanksgiving was celebrated, again by presidential proclamation, on February 19. President John Adams continued the tradition in 1798 and 1799. The tradition was undone by deist and skeptic President Thomas Jefferson. President James Madison revived the tradition in 1814, but it remained sporadic until the Civil War. Many governors proclaimed celebrations statewide.

In November 1863, however, President Lincoln made the celebration national again. He was inspired by an editorial series written by “Mary Had a Little Lamb” author Sarah Josepha Hale. Secretary of State William H. Seward wrote the proclamation. During this period, traditions were regional and some of the food is decidedly not what we would consider to be traditional Thanksgiving fare today (pigeon pie, for example).
Franksgiving

Franksgiving is one of those things like the court-packing plan that made FDR’s opponents squeal with laughter. FDR’s moving of the date of Thanksgiving caused his opponent in the previous election, Alf Landon, to compare him to Hitler. James Frasier, chairman of the Plymouth, Massachusetts board of selectmen heartily disapproved of the change.

The change caused a number of problems, not least of all holiday travel plans. Football teams around the nation played before empty stadiums because they couldn’t change their schedule. Many games were cancelled. In what is a familiar scenario to anyone who has followed 21st-century politics, Democrats narrowly supported Franksgiving (52 to 48), Republicans widely despised it (79 to 21) and most of America didn’t like it (62 to 38).

All told, 23 states and the District of Columbia recognized the new date, while 22 preferred the traditional date. The remaining three (Colorado, Texas and Mississippi) went with both dates, meaning there was plenty of time off for everyone. In 1940, 32 states and the nation’s capital went with Franksgiving, while the remaining 16 opted for what was called “Republican Thanksgiving.”

A report from the Department of Commerce issued in 1941, found that there was no difference in retail sales due to the day of the month. Indeed, barely more than a third of all retailers even observed Franksgiving. What’s more, only two out of every seven Thanksgivings would fall on a fifth Thursday rather than a fourth. Still, a joint resolution of Congress, signed into law by President Roosevelt, permanently moved the date to the fourth Thursday, where it has stood ever since. Most states concurred, and while revelry was on the back burner thanks to the war, Thanksgiving in its final form took root by 1945.

If you ever find yourself watching the Merrie Melodies cartoon Holiday Highlights, you’ll notice a reference to two different Thanksgivings – one for Republicans and one for Democrats – that will now make sense to you.

Texas was the last state to observe the traditional “last Thursday” Thanksgiving in 1956.

Thanksgiving Haters
While it has its roots in European harvest festivals, there is perhaps no more quintessentially American holiday than Thanksgiving. Americans eat more food this day than they will any other day of the year, including the Fourth of July and Christmas Day. Unsurprisingly, there are people who think that the celebration of Thanksgiving is shameful and should be abandoned.

Both liberal college professors and some Native American activists believe the traditional story of Thanksgiving has been whitewashed by conquerors. They believe in replacing the day with a National Day of Atonement and fasting. Other prominent Native Americans such as Tim Giago, who founded the Native American Journalists Organization, believe that the celebration of Thanksgiving is a synthesis of both European and Native American traditions and is, as such, uniquely American.

The rest of us, however, will enjoy stuffing ourselves with turkey, slipping into a tryptophan coma, and waking up just in time to catch the big game or the parade. Real Americans, as it turns out, would much rather enjoy a day off than complain.

Seems to me that the virtue of being Thankful at all times is very high on God’s list for HIS kids.

HONOR

ALOHA SAINTS, FAMILY & FRIENDS, Beloved of God and me, John3:16

HONOR “WORTH CONSIDERING” 11/25/20 From Ken Smith<><

.Today’s Scripture (Across my desk this morning from a church in Texas.)
“But on that day I will deal differently with the land of Goshen, where my people live; no swarms of flies will be there, so that you will know that I, the LORD, am in this land. I will make a distinction between my people and your people.” (Exodus 8:22–23, NIV)

What Makes You Different
When God sent plague after plague on Pharaoh and his people in order to free the Israelites from slavery, what’s interesting is that the Israelites lived right next door, but the plagues never touched them. Whether it was swarms of flies, hordes of frogs, or their livestock, the Israeli side was untouched. God put a distinction of favor and blessing upon His people. God has also put a distinct favor on you that causes you to be different from those who don’t honor God. The Scripture talks about how you’ve been called out, set apart as God’s people. It says that His face shines down on you and causes you to stand out. There’s a marked difference. You have an advantage. You’re not doing life by yourself. It’s not up to just your skill, your talent, your connections. There’s a force behind you breathing in your direction, protecting you, guiding you, favoring you. The Most High God has set you apart.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that Your face is smiling down on me today, and I’m not doing life on my own. Thank You that You’ve put a distinction on my life that causes me to stand out. I believe that I will defy the odds that stand against me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Comments:
The Big Difference in blessing and cursing here has to do with HONOR. We use the word for lots of things like, Your Honor, for a judge. Honorarium, as a student being awarded with a scholarship.

But we often forget the primary use like in Honor your father and mother. Or the Honor of Jesus. Hallowed is a word that is very similar to Honor… Let’s take a look: Honor: noun 1. high respect; great esteem. “his portrait hangs in the place of honor” Similar: distinction privilege glory tribute kudos cachet prestige fame renown merit credit importance illustriousness notability respect esteem approbation hold in great respect hold in high esteem have a high regard for admire defer to look up to think highly of appreciate. 2.adherence to what is right or to a conventional standard of conduct. “I must as a matter of honor avoid any taint of dishonesty” (So seems this is rather transparent and straight forward.) So What does the Word of God teach: There are a minimum of 335 verses containing honor, 123 in the New Testament. So it would seem that the Holy Spirit would like to make sure we have an understanding about HONOR. John 5:22-23: “For the Father judges no one, but has given all judgment [that is, the prerogative of judging] to the Son [placing it entirely into His hands], 23 so that all will give honor (reverence, homage) to the Son just as they give honor to the Father. [In fact] the one who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who has sent Him. John 8:48-50 “ The Jews answered Him, “Are we not right when we say You are a [a] Samaritan and [that You] have a demon [and are under its power]?” 49 Jesus answered, “I do not have a demon. On the contrary, I honor My Father, and you dishonor Me. 50 However, I am not seeking glory for Myself. There is One who seeks [glory for Me] and judges [those who dishonor Me]. John 12:26, “If anyone serves Me, he must [continue to faithfully] follow Me [without hesitation, holding steadfastly to Me, conforming to My example in living and, if need be, suffering or perhaps dying because of faith in Me]; and wherever I am [in heaven’s glory], there will My servant be also. If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him. And this is just a few verses. Do you see how that humility, obedience and honor are all locked together?

So if we honor Jesus Christ as our LORD according to the above definitions our Heavenly Father will Honor us. Dishonor comes from self centeredness, disobedience and pride. So if you want there to be a GOD FORCE, Supernatural push behind us it is because we have learned how and are bringing honor to the name of Jesus as LORD. Many powerless ministries bring honor only to their own ministry or denomination and they are dying all around us today.

If a wife or husband dishonors the other the marriage will fail. If the children learn to dishonor their parents they will not live for long on the land. So as we make Christ Jesus the reason for our existence we will enjoy the breath of God in support of our lives. If we choose to elevate self or ministry or others in 1st place in what we do, then it will fall apart and come to nothing. By now, I know this lesson well. I have been given some very successful ministries in the LORD in the past but when I began to take upon myself HIS Honor and run off with it, it all turned to mush and was soon gone. Jesus taught us that HE would build HIS Church in Victory. And it Rev. 12:11 it is HIS Church that ultimately boots lucifer and his minions out of the heavens In Rom.8, HE has given us the Victory. But in Eph. 4:11-16 HE must be lifted up to draw all unto HIM. Not drawn to an Elder, Ministry or Denomination but only to HONOR HIM….

SANCTIFICATION OF SAMPSON

ALOHA SAINTS, FAMILY & FRIENDS, Beloved of God and me, John3:16

SANCTIFICATION OF SAMPSON, “WORTH CONSIDERING” 11/24/20

Today’s Scripture (Across my desk this morning from a church in Texas.)
Then Samson prayed to the LORD, “Sovereign LORD, remember me again. O God, please strengthen me just one more time. With one blow let me pay back the Philistines for the loss of my two eyes.” (Judges 16:28, NLT)

One More Time
Samson was given supernatural strength to deliver God’s people from their enemies and couldn’t be defeated, but he let his moral guard down and ended up losing his strength, was blinded, and made a slave. It was his fault, but God never gives up on us. One day while Samson was being ridiculed by his captors, he prayed for strength “just one more time,” and God gave Samson the strength to push the middle pillars of the temple, collapsing the building, and killing more enemies in his death than he had during his lifetime. You may have made mistakes, but that is not how your story ends. You have not seen your greatest victories. You have not sung your best song. You have not written your best book. You have not played your best play. If you shake off the guilt, God has a one more time coming your way. He has something bigger, more rewarding than you’ve ever imagined.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for the destiny that You have called me to fulfill. Thank You that You have redeemed me, and Your mercies cover my mistakes and failures. I’m going to keep moving forward knowing that You always have another ‘one more time’ for me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Comments:
Of course as a kid I heard the story about Samson lousing his power and sight do to a street woman’s professional manipulations. But when later I saw Victor Mature play the part of Samson it really came alive for me. Of course Hollywood also adds a lot of fiction but as a kid I really got the point. Came out in 1949, I was 17 and still going through hormone storms. It is a great study of character and of sowing and reaping and pride and humility, worth the time, I think. Amazon Available. So now when I think of Samson, Victor always comes to mind grinding grain for his enemies and being made sport of in the temple of their God and of course, God’s Forgiveness & Redemption. “There, But for the Grace of God, Go I” We are so prone to allow our Adamic nature to gain and have control over our actions and thoughts even when we know it goes into pain and division. Paul noted that in Romans 7:14- 25 “We know that the Law is spiritual, but I am a creature of the flesh [worldly, self-reliant—carnal and nonspiritual], sold into slavery to sin [and serving under its control]. 15 For I do not understand my own actions [I am baffled and bewildered by them]. I do not practice what I want to do, but I am doing the very thing I hate [and yielding to my human nature, my worldliness—my sinful capacity]. 16 Now if I habitually do what I do not want to do, [that means] I agree with the Law, confessing that it is good (morally excellent). 17 So now [if that is the case, then] it is no longer I who do it [the disobedient thing which I despise], but the sin [nature] which lives in me. 18 For I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my flesh [my human nature, my worldliness—my sinful capacity]. For the willingness [to do good] is present in me, but the doing of good is not. 19 For the good that I want to do, I do not do, but I practice the very evil that I do not want. 20 But if I am doing the very thing I do not want to do, I am no longer the one doing it [that is, it is not me that acts], but the sin [nature] which lives in me. 21 So I find it to be the law [of my inner self], that evil is present in me, the one who wants to do good. 22 For I joyfully delight in the law of God in my inner self [with my new nature], 23 but I see a different law and rule of action in the members of my body [in its appetites and desires], waging war against the law of my mind and subduing me and making me a prisoner of the law of sin which is within my members. 24 Wretched and miserable man that I am! Who will [rescue me and] set me free from this body of death [this corrupt, mortal existence]? 25 Thanks be to God [for my deliverance] through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, on the one hand I myself with my mind serve the law of God, but on the other, with my flesh [my human nature, my worldliness, my sinful capacity—I serve] the law of sin. And of course Paul does not leave us there but points us into Sanctification and Victory in Romans 8:5-8, “For those who are living according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh [which gratify the body], but those who are living according to the Spirit, [set their minds on] the things of the Spirit [His will and purpose]. 6 Now the mind of the flesh is death [both now and forever—because it pursues sin]; but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace [the spiritual well-being that comes from walking with God—both now and forever]; 7 the mind of the flesh [with its sinful pursuits] is actively hostile to God. It does not submit itself to God’s law, since it cannot, 8 and those who are in the flesh [living a life that caters to sinful appetites and impulses] cannot please God.” So is Jesus the center or is self the center of what you do? This is the test of our freewill to learn. Less painful to learn by the way of faith in God’s Truth. Your souls is eternal, question is, where are you headed and how do you know for sure????

JOYFUL

ALOHA SAINTS, FAMILY & FRIENDS, Beloved of God and me, John 3:16

JOYFUL “WORTH CONSIDERING” 11/23/20 From Ken Smith<><

Today’s Scripture (Across my desk this morning from a church in Texas.)
A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. (Proverbs 17:22,

Live Joyfully
Everyone deals with stress and challenges, but don’t let that deceive you into going through life solemn and grumpy. All work and no play are out of balance. You have to give yourself permission to enjoy your life. You have serious responsibilities, but you can still have a joyful heart. Start taking your medicine every single day. One of the greatest stress relievers God has given us is laughter. Laughing makes us feel better and releases healing throughout our systems. When was the last time you had a good hearty laugh? If it’s been awhile, maybe your laugher is rusted and needs to be overhauled! You don’t know how much better you would feel and the energy you’d pick up if you’d just learn to laugh more often. Developing a sense of humor and looking for opportunities to laugh can make a big difference in the quality of your life. Find something funny that makes you laugh out loud every day.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for the healing power in laughter and a joyful heart. Thank You that You created me with a sense of humor and with a way to release some of the stress I feel through laughter. I will knock the rust off my laugher and learn to laugh more. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Comments:
It will take some really deep faith, heart faith, to have a joyful heart as we see the world plunging ahead into Matt. 24, Mark 13 & Luke 21. These are three different views of the prophecy that Jesus gave us concerning the end of this age of the gentiles (us). So how do we go about being joyful when the world is falling apart. For me, if the atheists win the election in the House, Senate and Presidency Christians are in really deep dodo. The Bible will be certified as Hate Speech. Our children will go through 12 years of anti Christian atheistic indoctrination and ethics and honesty will never see the light of day again in our Constitutional Republic. So how do we become full of joy all about that?

First off, if we truly trust Jesus as our LORD & Savior each day we are one day closer to getting out of here and going home…. https://trinity-aloha.org/keys-to-the-kingdom/revelation/

Second, If we really know and believe in the Great and Precious Promises we can always share them with the folks around us that are interested., Of course you can not effectively share something that you are not walking in. So if you are a so called earth bound pretending Christian then you may have a pot full of excuses of why there is no need to share God’s Truth for all. If you are in the bunch that think the hired shepherd is responsible for bearing the lambs then the Joy will never be yours in helping another soul find Jesus and see them blossom into being like HIM. One of the most enjoyable parts of my old life is still seeing a tender young soul find Jesus as LORD and watch them grow. And some even outgrow me and become an example for me. So there is an exquisite joy of helping someone find Jesus as LORD and helping them to grow up in to being like HIM.

Third, No one likes persecution and not many would run towards being a Martyr for Christ Jesus but it does happen and there is a special crown for those who suffer such a death. So there is a very quit Joy of even having to suffer death as a testimony of our love for our Lord Jesus Christ. In fact the Word of God shares with us that all who live Godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. And that persecution will even be in your own home. So we need to get into Joy about our persecutions as it shows to us that our faith is valid. No persecution???? Must not be preaching what Jesus preached. The darkness is always trying to find a way to kill Jesus and in the end it finally thought that it did. Read about this joy in Fox’s “Book of Martyr’s”

Forth, regardless of what is going on in the world if your children are standing firm in the freedom that is in Christ Jesus, there is great joy in that and the darkness can not put it out. I have 8 kids, one with the LORD already and 7 more. Only a few of them are really walking out their salvation and the LORDSHIP of Christ Jesus but with those there is a real joy for me that can never be taken away.

Fifth, today, taking one day at a time, I can still share the Gospel today and the Teachings of God’s Truth to my family with my blog on the internet. It is a bit of a chore each day to set time aside to write to you. Of course I am not sure how many really read what I send. But I do try to make these blogs interesting. So for today, I am joyful that I am not in China or N. Korea and can still send something along that will make your day more Joyful in the Kingdom of our LORD.

UNITY TRUTH & VICTORY, “WORTH CONSIDERING” 11/20/20 From Ken<><

Today’s Scripture (Across my desk this morning from a church in Texas.)
But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. Titus 3:4–5, NIV

Covered by Mercy
Saul was persecuting the church when God appeared to him and changed him into the apostle Paul. God doesn’t give us what we deserve. We deserve the consequences of our actions; we deserve judgment, but God gives us mercy. He knows how to make miracles out of our mistakes. The accusing voices will tell you, “You’re done, and it’s your fault. You know you weren’t supposed to do it. It’s your mess.” No, God is so merciful that He’ll not only bring you out, He’ll clean up your mess. You may be in a mess of your own doing right now. God has mercy for that mistake. His mercy is not based on your performance. You are covered with mercy not just when you measure up but even when you blow it, even when you fail. He can make a miracle out of that mess. Get up every morning and thank God not only for His goodness, but thank Him for His mercy.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for Your mercies that are new every morning and for Your great faithfulness. Thank You that my mistakes and failures are not too much for Your mercy. I believe that I am covered by Your mercy that makes miracles out of mistakes. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Comments:
A big AMEN to that one. But difficult to really understand. But if my heart is right, regardless of the mistakes that I make, if I can see them as my mistakes they only bring me closer to becoming like Jesus. Learning by mistakes is far more painful than learning by faith but the knowledge gained if in humility is the same. The Holy Eternal LAW of God is sin separates us from GOD. that the wages of sin is death. That lust when it conceives becomes sin and sin upon completion separates us from GOD and all that HE has created including the house (body) that we have borrowed to live in for a short time. BUT THEN THERE IS A BIG BUT: “But the Gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our LORD. So when Jesus truly becomes your LORD (king, boss, ruler, master) then the penalty of your pride and rebellion is taken care of by the death and resurrection of Christ Jesus as you LORD. So if you are reading this if Christ Jesus is truly your LORD in all that you do. That means HE can change your direction. He can speak to your heart and have you immediately turn to go a different direction. You are being deeply tempted in a given situation that no one knows about. You hear HIS loving voice down deep in your heart, your innermost being and HE lovingly tells you to do something else, what do you do. Do you do it or do you procrastinate and harden your heart. That you don’t want to be bothered? The Word of God says that “He that hardens his heart shall be cut and that without remedy. Hebrews 6 is a great chapter to support this, though many do not accept it. If you are into checking it out should also include Hebrews 10:14-39. It is amazing to me how the church that we know today has so many traditions that are not supported by a contextual support of the Holy Scriptures. In fact, Jesus talked about it and said of the Jew, “Your vain traditions have made the Word of God ineffective. You will not enter the door to God’s Truth nor will you allow any one else to enter in. We have that same problem today with our denominational issues that in Love with the Word of God should have been resolved into Unity long ago.

What we have been taught is “I am OK and you are OK,” “Just as I am” and there is truth to that for a soul coming into the Mercy and Grace of God for the first time. But it is not OK if we get into some kind of a comfort zone with pride, sin and rebellion and refuse to feed upon the Word of God and to grow into the image and likeness of Christ Jesus. There is the Faith process of being born from above and receiving the life giving Holy Spirit of God in Salvation and Redemption, John 3. But that is just the beginning of a whole new Spiritual world to learn about and to be sanctified in and to grow up into HIM. And this includes the power the Jesus gave to His Church to do HIS work on earth as He did. If you will take the time to dissect the meanings in Eph.4:11-16 that have been missing. And the Unity and Truth factor of John 17 you will find another Gospel that is rarely shared. It is no wonder that most Christian are bored with the traditional theater church canned services. And yet that is all that mostly seems to be available today. As Christians we should be going out and defeating this virus plague but due to a lack of unity in God’s truth we go down for the count just like the world. The power of God is in Unity & in HIS Truth.

We put up a new web site: www.OhanaChurch.Life And hope to have a gathering place where folks can share and find help in being over comers with this plague sent by the enemy to destroy us. Romans 8, WE are more than conquers in Christ Jesus….

CLEAR GLASS, “WORTH CONSIDERING” 11/19/20 From Ken Smith<><

Today’s Scripture (In my mailbox this morning from a church in Texas.)
Miriam and Aaron talked against Moses behind his back because of his Cushite wife…They said, “Is it only through Moses that GOD speaks? Doesn’t he also speak through us?” GOD overheard their talk. (Numbers 12:1–2, MSG)

God is Listening
Moses’ sister and brother, Miriam and Aaron, began to talk against Moses because he married a woman from a different nationality. They were trying to make him look bad and questioning his leadership. Notice that when people are talking about you, God hears it. He’s your defender, and He’s never lost a case. It goes on to say this angered the Lord, and He dealt with them because they had spoken against the reputation of one of His children. God takes it seriously when someone tries to discredit you, belittle you, or make you look bad. You don’t have to get upset. God is listening. He knows how to change their mind. Sometimes He’ll cause them to be quiet; other times He’ll let them keep talking and just keep promoting you. The more they talk, the higher you’ll go. They think they’re hurting you, but they’re doing you a favor. God is paying you back by taking you to new levels.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that You are so aware of and intimately involved with what is going on in my life. Thank You that You haven’t left me on my own, but You step in and defend me when I need it. I am going to relax and stay at peace. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken Comments:
There is a rather obscure scripture that I am reminded of that I have never heard any ministry preach on. God created us to be filled with love, faith, joy, peace, confidence, and success. But fist we must allow HIM to rule over us and really be our LORD for that to happen. The verse is found in 1 Cor. 11:29-31, “ For anyone who eats and drinks [without solemn reverence and heartfelt gratitude for the sacrifice of Christ] , eats and drinks a judgment on himself if he does not [a] recognize the body [of Christ]. 30 That [careless and unworthy participation] is the reason why many among you are weak and sick, and a number sleep [in death]. 31 But if we evaluated and judged ourselves honestly [recognizing our shortcomings and correcting our behavior], we would not be judged. In this Chapter Apostle Paul is teaching on the Agape Meal or the Lord’s Supper that as Christians we were invited to celebrate each week as we are supposed to come together as per Acts 2:41-42 called the breaking of bread. This Saturday evening gathering would start off with the testimony of new converts, Rom.10:9-10 and proceed to a time of instruction which would be followed by the Agape Meal (Pot Blessing) and at the end of the meal have the memorial of the Lord’s remembrance of HIS payment for our sins. Then the gathering would go into prayer, ministry to one another and the ministry of the Elders and there was no time limit and all were invited to participate as in 1 Cor. 14:26-33. It was a gathering more like a party and full of Joy and Freedom. IT WAS NOT A THEATER CHURCH SERVICE OF TRADITIONS…. In fact, you really never knew what the Holy Spirit was going to do. Some folks would come about 5 and many not leave till 3 AM as it was so much JOY to be there. I really miss those times….

But Paul also took the time to also mention that sever judgment could fall if there was hypocrisy. If sin in the camp was not dealt with it could bring weakness, sickness and even death. Actually I have had several experiences of people being removed by death due to being in church leadership and also being a hypocrite or actor. So transparency with yourself and with GOD is very important in being a part of the cure and not a part of the problem. Keeping a continuing real honesty with God is what HE loves most. Ps. 2:12, “ Kiss (pay respect to) the Son, so that He does not become angry, and you perish in the way, For His wrath may soon be kindled and set aflame. How blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] are all those who take refuge in Him! 1 John 1:9, “ If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just [true to His own nature and promises], and will forgive our sins and cleanse us continually from all unrighteousness [our wrongdoing, everything not in conformity with His will and purpose].

Repentance also includes the humility and obedience factor to ask for God’s Grace for the Victory in any area of weakness. Sometimes even a deliverance from a demon is needed if the failure is of long time in our being use to. Many social sins are tied to fear. Fear often keeps us from sharing the Gospel to those who need it, who are all around us. Fear of rejection or persecution is often used by our enemy to keep us quiet. And of course there are the demonic facades and false promises that appeal to our emotions and our earthly carnal nature. I can remember feeling totally justified in teaching my adult Sunday school class in 1965 that today is not like the Book of Acts that those day were over with the death of the last apostle and the Holy Bible being put together. And I was totally wrong and really obstructing the Holy Spirit at that time. Some tell me today that it is up to God to save souls. That it is not their calling. I can quote a dozen scriptures to indicate that it is not true. That God has trusted us clay vessels with the Word of God to share with the lost world around us. But that does not change their mind. And when they stand before Jesus, they will need to give an account of what they did with the Word of God concerning the lost on a personal level. Isaiah 28:9-20 would be good to consider as to your position on God’s Truth and sound doctrine. Emotions and Intuition have no place in learning what is God’s Truth to set us free. It is not what we wold like it to be but what God tells us by His prophets what His Truth really is. Take scripture out of context and you can prove most anything to true. Scripture must be interpreted by scripture to really find God’s Truth. Many do not do that and that is why there is no real UNITY (John 17) in the so called church today. There really is only ONE Church of Christ Jesus in HIS TRUTH to set us free. And only those who truly Love, Honor and Obey HIM are eternal members. It is in the Book, read it for yourselves. There is only Light and Darkness with God, Lukewarm is not acceptable, Rev.3:14-22, Rev. 12:11. There is no comfortable coasting. You are either going up stream or down.

ALOHA SAINTS, FAMILY & FRIENDS, Beloved of God and me, John 3:16

LORD JESUS CHRIST,
“WORTH CONSIDERING” 11/18/20, From Ken Smith<><

Today’s Scripture (Over my desk this morning from a church in Texas.)
The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD, and He delights in his way. Ps. 37:23

Ordered Steps
Sometimes God will inconvenience you in order to help somebody else. Instead of getting frustrated when our plans don’t work out, we need to remember that it’s not all about us. “I don’t like my job. The people are so negative. When is God going to move me out?” Maybe God has you there on purpose to let your light shine and be a good influence on them. Quit fighting everything you don’t like. If God has you there, He’s ordered your steps. It may be uncomfortable, but instead of resisting it, trying to pray it away, why don’t you embrace it? Say, “God, this is where You have me right now, so I’m going to be my best. I may not like it, but I know a secret: it’s all good.” If you’ll stay in faith, everything that was meant to stop you, God is going to use to push you forward. He’s bringing it all together right now.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that You never allow anything out of which You can’t bring good. Thank You that You purposefully order my steps in the way that is best for me. I believe that You have me right where You want me, and it’s working for me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Comments:
It will take a lot of real maturity and faith to embrace this teaching today. Frankly, I am still working on it today even at my age. Jesus warned us that HE would bring a sword into our families. Matt. 10:34-42, Long…. but well “Worth Considering” AMP “Therefore, the one who [j] confesses and acknowledges Me before men [as Lord and Savior, affirming a state of oneness with Me], that one I will also confess and acknowledge before My Father who is in heaven. 33 But the one who denies and rejects Me before men, that one I will also deny and reject before My Father who is in heaven.34 “Do not think that I have come to bring peace on the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword [of division between belief and unbelief]. 35 For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; 36 and a man’s enemies will be the members of his [own] household [when one believes and another does not]. 37 “[k] He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. 38 And he who does not take his [l] cross [expressing a willingness to endure whatever may come] and follow Me [believing in Me, conforming to My example in living and, if need be, suffering or perhaps dying because of faith in Me] is not worthy of Me. 39 Whoever finds his life [in this world] will [eventually] lose it [through death], and whoever loses his life [in this world] for My sake will find it [that is, life with Me for all eternity]. 40 “He who receives and welcomes you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me. 41 He who receives and welcomes a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward; and he who receives a righteous (honorable) man because he is a righteous man will receive a righteous man’s reward. 42 And whoever gives to one of these little ones [ these who are humble in rank or influence] even a cup of cold water to drink because he is my disciple, truly I say to you, he will not lose his reward.”

It is very interesting that we can forget so very easily the words of Jesus and still think of Him as the LORD (King, Boss, Ruler) of our lives. It is so very easy to live a life of hypocrisy or acting. Don’t you find that to be true? Very few of us are free from hiding stuff in the dark rooms of our mind and heart. And yet Jesus came for that exact purpose, to set us free. We love to stay in our little “Comfort Zones” even if it is spiritually dangerous for us. And we go to battle with anyone that challenges us to move along on up stream. The clean water is always up stream. The swamp is down stream and full of critters that see us as part of the food chain. In this life, in this world there is no comfort zone for us. We are all pilgrims passing through into eternity. John 12:25: Jesus: “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone [just one grain, never more]. But if it dies, it produces much grain and yields a harvest. 25 The one who loves his life [eventually] loses it, but the one who hates his life in this world [and is concerned with pleasing God ] will keep it for life eternal. 26 If anyone serves Me, he must [continue to faithfully] follow Me [without hesitation, holding steadfastly to Me, conforming to My example in living and, if need be, suffering or perhaps dying because of faith in Me ] ; and wherever I am [in heaven’s glory], there will My servant be also. If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.”

PRAISE PEACE & POWER

PRAISE PEACE & POWER, “WORTH CONSIDERING” 11/17/20 From Ken<><

Today’s Scripture (Across my desk from a church in Texas this morning.)
“And when they make a long blast with the ram’s horn, when you hear the sound of the trumpet, then all the people shall shout with a great shout, and the wall of the city will fall down flat.” (Joshua 6:5, ESV)

Praise Brings Down Walls
Jericho was the last city that stood between the Israelites and the Promised Land. Its towering city walls were so wide that chariots rode on top of them. It looked impossible. God told Joshua to have them march around the wall for six days, then on the seventh day on the seventh time around, they were to give a great shout of praise. It didn’t make sense to them, but God was saying, “If you’ll praise Me while the wall is still standing, you’ll see things begin to change.” There’s always a Jericho that stands between you and your Promised Land, one last obstacle that looks insurmountable. Will you trust God enough to praise Him in spite of a bad medical report, to thank Him for freedom when you still have the addiction? You’re so close, but you don’t see how you can get passed it. Don’t complain. Turn up your praise. Praise is what’s going to bring the wall down.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that no obstacle is so high and wide that it can withstand Your touch. Thank You that You’re fighting my battles, and You hold victory in store for the upright. I believe that You will get me to where I’m supposed to be. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Comment’s
Again, a good message to consider. Praise to God is the sacrifice of our will & understanding. It is us putting ourselves on God’s side regardless of how foolish and improbable the effort may seem. David (Ps.119) learned this lesson well, the Psalms are full of Praise to God and much of it when he was being hunted down by Saul to kill him. If I am tempted to be depressed I try to remember to turn on some really deep praise music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LHXHncArKcM And of course with the reminder of Holiness: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u88AiyFKJ6g And of course, let it rain: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AG7v8jJKAOk And: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVFzxazTQNM Worship to the Lamb of God…..

And if you just did this then you should be feeling much better as also am I. Of course each of us are different that what brings peace, love and God’s Grace into our lives can be different. But Grace also allows us to enjoy each other in our walk together towards the Kingdom of God in Light and Righteousness. Listen to a bunch of marines singing the “Days of Elijah” Some are really free and some are not but they all seem to be into it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hjZ_IlP9c5A And of course the alone and peaceful side of the coin: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TT5u2xVEO5M

It is good to take 5 and hang 10 and relax a little in the arms of God each day. We are all different but with the same needs. We all have God shaped hole inside of us that only HE can fill. We do try to stuff it with other stuff but it always falls out. But when we really 100% make Jesus our LORD then our life is in HIS hands as it was designed to be and we can find real peace and contentment in even the small things of life. And little is much when God is in it. Floyd was used by the Holy Spirit to bring me to Jesus in 1955 by only his love of the Lord. He took such good care of a little church for Jesus that I was able to really see Jesus in Floyd. Floyd was not a talker but a doer. And that spoke so loud to me that I had to find out about what had changed him. He was a janitor and did his work (way underpaid) like Jesus came to church each Sunday morning. I never went to church there, only borrowed the piano. But I sure met Jesus there…… And I fell in love with the Jesus I saw in Floyd. And ask so many questions that he got Dick to help. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HwKCvuorI9E

So we are here on earth and can choose to be the friend of God or not. To enthrone Him as our LORD and to allow HIM to live HIS life in us so as to touch the lives of others for HIM. We are either self centered or we are Jesus centered. There is only 2 options and we have only one life time to figure it out. And when we choose to make Jesus LORD, then our praise and worship allows HIS grace to flow into our needs and give us HIS victory. Romans 7 @ 8 is a good study concerning the new birth that Jesus taught to us in John 3.

My deep feeling is that until the Church comes into the maturity of Eph.4:11-16 and John 17 that we will still be experiencing the birth pains that we find around us today. I keep writing about the Prophesy of Jesus in Matt. 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21 as being the beginning of what is happening around the world today. I have written a paper of 11 pages on, “The Return of the King” but few seem to want to read about it? Even for free. Bible teaches, “Freely received, freely give.” And the election one way or the other will change nothing. Only that persecution will be stronger for Christian if atheistic socialism gains more of a foothold. But our time on earth is very short even if we get the full Gen.6:3 120 years that God meant for us to enjoy. But if you believe the Bible your soul is eternal and you headed for eternal light or eternal darkness? Are you Jesus centered or self centered? Your soul placement for eternity is made during your life time.. And Jesus said, “Few find it.”

FAITH = EVIDENCE & SUBSTANCE

ALOHA SAINTS, FAMILY & FRIENDS, Beloved of God and me, John 3:16

FAITH = EVIDENCE & SUBSTANCE, “WORTH CONSIDERING” 11/16/20 From Ken<><

Today’s Scripture (Across my desk this morning from a church in Texas.)
“You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him. But go, tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.” (Mark 16:6–7, NIV)

Not “Here” But “There”
When Mary Magdalene and two other women went to Jesus’ tomb after His death, an angel said to them, “He is not here. He has risen! He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see Him.” Notice that the angel said, “He is not here. He is there.” The angel was saying, in effect, “I know you’re hurting, but don’t stay here. Something better is waiting for you there.” In other words, “here” is the disappointment, the bad medical report, the dream that didn’t work out. If you stay “here,” you’ll be discouraged. You have to go “there.” Sometimes the reason God doesn’t comfort us in the “here,” in the disappointment is because He doesn’t want us to stay where we are. “There” is where God is waiting for you. “There” is where the blessing is. The disappointment is simply a season. God has already gone ahead and lined up the next level. Move forward into “there.”

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that You are always going ahead in my life, lining up the next level, and You’re not in the past. Thank You that I don’t have to be stuck in the “here.” I believe that You are waiting for me in the “there” with restoration and blessing. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Comments:
Every day we use faith, real faith. Every time I climb into my truck I have faith that the motor and the breaks will work. Every time I drive our crazy Mamalahoa Hwy. I must have faith for all of the other drivers to stay on their side of the road. And there is no fence to keep them from my side of the road. And I have had times with my faith did not hold up. One day I was driving north with a load of gravel in my truck and this guy was waiting at a left turn crossing up ahead so I thought all was OK but at 38mph he pulled out just as I got there and totaled his car and my truck. But got another truck and still driving, now that is faith.

God, by faith, created energy into matter and into making you and me in physical form so we could learn to have faith and live with HIM. We were created/conceived on planet earth to learn how to use faith so we could become like HIM. The New Testament if full of conditional promises of if we do this than God will do that. And it is all good. But like driving my truck there is a learning curve. I learned to read and then could learn to read a map or know what the signs meant on the road. I learned humility and obedience in respecting the other driver and that if I don’t there will be deadly issues. Some things I learned by experience and most of the time that was painful. If I learn by faith, then things go a lot smoother.

So in the spiritual world where God lives there is also much to learn about faith and how it works. To know about faith is not the same as to have faith. Head Faith is to check out a bridge. To have real faith is to drive over the bridge. Most of the time with have only head faith and try to get something done and nothing happens and then we blame GOD for not showing up. But head faith is only wishful thinking. It is not the same as really knowing. With me I am still learning about faith and growing in faith but if I pray for a back and it does not get healed I would be surprised and wonder why not. And then start counseling as to why not and 95% of the time the leg grows out and the back is fixed by the Holy Spirit. An\d I can tell if there is unbelief on the other side as it take a little longer to happen. If the person has faith it is a very quick fix. But with everything else I am still learning about faith. Hebrews 11 is a great chapter on faith to help anyone grow in Kingdom Faith. We are saved, sealed and empowered by faith. Everything God has made including you and me is held together by HIS faith. We have much to learn about faith. And faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of GOD. Get yourself a New Testament recording of the King James Bible by Alexander Scorby, you will love it and grow very quickly as you listen. Much better for me than reading. And can listen in my truck.
