COMMANDMENTS OF GOD

ALOHA SAINTS, FAMILY & FRIENDS,  Beloved on God and me,    John 3:16

COMMANDMENTS:    “WORTH CONSIDERING”   11/4/20    From Ken Smith<><

Today’s Scripture
“…say to her, ‘Is all well with you? Is all well with your husband? Is all well with the child?’” And she answered, “All is well.”   (2 Kings 4:26, ESV)

All is Well
Second Kings 4 records the story of a mother whose little boy suddenly died in her arms. Yet even when it looked unbearable, she knew that unexpected trouble wasn’t a surprise to God. She immediately set out to get her friend the prophet Elisha. Twice she was asked if her child was well, and she answered, “All is well.” She knew that God could make a way where she didn’t see a way. Elisha prayed for the little boy, and he miraculously came back to life.  We all face unexpected challenges—the loss of a loved one, a personal failure, a layoff, a sickness. It’s easy to get overwhelmed. But rather than complain and go around in self-pity, go deeper and instead have a report of faith, “All is well. God’s in control.” Then because you are rooted in the Most High God, you’ll feel the peace that passes understanding and have the strength to endure what should have taken you out.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that You are the Most High God who sees every unexpected and uncertain circumstance I will ever face. I declare that my peace and strength are in You, and my roots are firmly set in You. All is well today. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Comments:
It is a good feeling to know that God is in control.  But really, HE is only in control of what you place in HIS hands and TRUST HIM with.   Don’t expect HIM to jump in and save you when you have been avoiding HIM and are oblivious to HIS will.  By now I think I know most of the Commandments of God including the Big 10 and the 7 deadly sins.  But the LORD’S will and commandments go much deeper than that.  There are 168 verses in the Bible using the word Commandments.  In Matt. 5:19 Jesus Teaches: “So whoever breaks one of the least [important] of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, will be called least [important] in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever practices and teaches them, he will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.”  Matt.19:17, “Jesus answered, “Why are you asking Me about what is [essentially] good? There is only One who is [essentially] good; but if you wish to enter into eternal life, keep the commandments.”Jesus answered, “Why are you asking Me about what is [essentially] good? There is only One who is [essentially] good; but if you wish to enter into eternal life, keep the commandments.”  Matt. 22:37-40, “And Jesus replied to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself [that is, unselfishly seek the best or higher good for others].’ 40 The whole Law and the [writings of the] Prophets depend on these two commandments.”   And that is just from the Gospel of Matthew.    John, the Disciple of great love shared Jesus’s words this way.:     (The Commandments of Jesus can be found in the New Testament.) 1 John 14:14-16, “If you ask Me anything in My name [as My representative ], I will do it.  15 “If you [really] love Me, you will keep and obey my commandments.  16 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another [a] Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), to be with you forever— John 14:20-21: “ On that day [when that time comes] you will know for yourselves that I am in My Father, and you are in Me, and I am in you. 21 The person who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who [really] loves Me; and whoever [really] loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and reveal Myself to him [I will make Myself real to him].” John 15:10, “If you keep My commandments and obey My teaching, you will remain in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and remain in His love.”  1 Jn.2:3, “And this is how we know [daily, by experience] that we have come to know Him [to understand Him and be more deeply acquainted with Him]: if we habitually keep [focused on His precepts and obey] His commandments (teachings).” 1 Jn.2:4        “Whoever says, “I have come to know Him,” but does not habitually keep [focused on His precepts and obey] His commandments (teachings), is a liar, and the truth [of the divine word] is not in him.”  1 Jn.3:22, “Whoever says, “I have come to know Him,” but does not habitually keep [focused on His precepts and obey] His commandments (teachings), is a liar, and the truth [of the divine word] is not in him.”  1 Jn.3:24, “The one who habitually keeps His commandments [obeying His word and following His precepts, abides and] remains in Him, and He in him. By this we know and have the proof that He [really] abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us [as a gift].  1Jn.5:2-3, “By this we know [without any doubt] that we love the children of God: [expressing that love] when we love God and obey His commandments.   For the [true] love of God is this: that we habitually obey]” Keep His commandments and remain focused on His precepts. And His commandments and His precepts are not difficult [to obey]   Do you know them ?????.

Yours, in HIS great love and wonderful Grace & Mercy, Ken<>< www.Triniity-Aloha.org
