POWER OF GOD      “WORTH CONSIDERING”   10/30/20    From Ken Smith

To days Scripture          (On my desk this morning from a church in Texas.)
Then Balak’s anger burned against Balaam. He struck his hands together and said to him, “I summoned you to curse my enemies, but you have blessed them these three times.”
(Numbers 24:10, NIV)

Start Prophesying Victory
King Balak of the Moabites offered a prophet named Balaam a lot of money to put a curse upon the Israelites. But God told Balaam, “What I have blessed, you cannot curse.” When Balak continued to press Balaam, not only did Balaam refuse, but God had him start speaking blessings over the Israelites, how they would succeed and accomplish great things.

Notice that when God puts the commanded blessing on you, it doesn’t matter what somebody else says or does. All that matters is the Creator of the universe put His blessing on you, and everything else is of no effect. They can speak defeat all day long, but here’s the key: they are powerless to change the blessing on your life. When the enemy tries to curse your future with negative words and negative thinking, do like Balaam. Start prophesying victory, prophesy favor, prophesy health, prophesy abundance. When you walk in obedience, God’s blessings will chase you down and overtake you.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for the commanded blessing that You have put on my life because I belong to You. Thank You that Your blessing will override any force that’s trying to hold me back. I believe that as I keep honoring You, Your blessings will chase me down and overtake me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Comments:
It is rather difficult for us to understand the Power of God and then to make HIM in turn responsible for the mess on earth.  So let’s try to make it simple.  I give you a bicycle for Christmas.  Next day you take it apart and even better take a 16# sledge hammer to the parts.  Then come running to me as being responsible for not giving you a better bicycle.  Apostle Paul cover this in Roman 1 and so does Ezekiel 29:14….   So sure GOD takes responsibility for giving the bicycle but not for the damage done to it.   There is a little factor concerning freewill.  Adam was given the world in Gen.1, He was to bring it under authority and to replenish (populate).   Eventually Adam gave the world to lucifer whom Jesus called the god of this world.

But you see, with GOD, HE is in an eternal dimension so has absolute foreknowledge and saw the coming of Abraham, Moses, David ,  Jesus and HIS Apostles for the redemption and restoration before even our galaxy was created.   So in order for us to experience Free Will God has endured the world in rebellion for the few who would come to HIS light and complete what Adam was assigned to do in the first place.   For the few who will refer to the prophets and saints of old for their truth and go for it 100%.  So God is responsible for all that is created and even our potential redemption but HE is not responsible for the sinful use of our freewill in the learning process.   Nor is HE responsible for the stewardship that was placed in our hands through Adam and ours that ended in prideful disobedience.   And HE is not as concerned about the stuff as much as HE is concerned about our souls finding repentance and redemption and making HIS love real in the midst of the hate of this world.  But in and through Jesus, we can buy it back.  We can learn to be part of the cure and not be the problem.

We now have advanced to the place where we have a study diet of greed, lust and death all around us.  Can you imagine what it must look like to God who is LOVE.   And even when we do good we are concerned that others can know about it and to have a feeling of acceptance.  Even our churches are preaching give to get from God by bringing your funds to their storehouse.  Have you noticed how little power is experienced by most of our churches, (so called) today?  Actually the word church in the Greek has to do with the gathering of people together to enjoy the Holy Spirit.   And to experience the fruit, gifts and the ministries that HE has placed in the people who belong to GOD.  Does our church today look like the Book of Acts?  Do your own comparison, keep the baby, toss the traditional bath water.

Yours, In HIS great love,    Ken<><    www.trinity-aloha.org

“There is nothing wrong with the command of God to ‘stone the false prophet!’ The problem is that the church has discerned wrongly and stoned the true prophet! That is why there are no
more true prophets in our days, because as soon as they begin their ministry, we rub them out.” – G.A.
