Back in the 70’s when the Holy Spirit empowered a supernatural work among the flood of hippies in Hawaii we had many many weddings.   Sometimes two at a time.  Bill and Bobby came to me one day as I was praying out on a big rock on the ocean side of the old stone church.  Bill came up on one side and Bobby on the other and they confessed that they really love witnessing together and praying together but they felt the idea of marriage might spoil everything.   And as I listened I was amazed at how much alike that they were in spirit, like two halves of something.  And the Holy Spirit had already told me that they would be getting married.  So when they were finished explaining everything I simple said, I already have the answer for you, Get Married.   And they ran off to make the preparations.  Bill Boyd became the very 1st ordained deacon of the ministry.  And Bill and Bobby in their ministry together profited the Kingdom of God abundantly at that time.

I say this to remind us that the Holy Spirit is seeking to bring the True Church of Christ Jesus into being a MATCH for The King of Kings.  It is not an individual thing, it is a collective thing.  Apostle Paul gives a great teaching on it for us to not be ignorant and carried away by the idols of this world:   1 Cor. 12:13-25.  “For by [ [a] means of the personal agency of one [Holy] Spirit we were all, whether Jews or Greeks, slaves or free, baptized [and [b] by baptism united together] into one body, and all made to drink of one [Holy] Spirit.  14 For the body does not consist of one limb or organ but of many.  15 If the foot should say, Because I am not the hand, I do not belong to the body, would it be therefore not [a part] of the body?  16 If the ear should say, Because I am not the eye, I do not belong to the body, would it be therefore not [a part] of the body?  17 If the whole body were an eye, where [would be the sense of] hearing? If the whole body were an ear, where [would be the sense of] smell?  18 But as it is, God has placed and arranged the limbs and organs in the body, each [particular one] of them, just as He wished and saw fit and with the best adaptation.  19 But if [the whole] were all a single organ, where would the body be?  20 And now there are [certainly] many limbs and organs, but a single body.  21 And the eye is not able to say to the hand, I have no need of you, nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.  22 But instead, there is [absolute] necessity for the parts of the body that are considered the more weak.  23 And those [parts] of the body which we consider rather ignoble are [the very parts] which we invest with additional honor, and our unseemly parts and those unsuitable for exposure are treated with seemliness (modesty and decorum),  24 Which our more presentable parts do not require. But God has so adjusted (mingled, harmonized, and subtly proportioned the parts of) the whole body, giving the greater honor and richer endowment to the inferior parts which lack [apparent importance],  25 So that there should be no division or discord or lack of adaptation [of the parts of the body to each other ] , but the members all alike should have a mutual interest in and care for one another.   Think about how the cells work in your body as a road map and a prime example.

And this is the way the Bride of Christ/Body of Christ will become prior to the resurrection…   John 17 and Eph.4:11-16 will become a living fact in this dimension of time in victory prior to the translation of the Church unto the Lord in the Clouds of the Air.   This is the Romans 8 Victory that Christ Jesus bought on the Cross for Himself and for us.  Few  will find their place in the completion, I pray you make it.  You are invited, Rev.22:17  but you have every right to refuse if you want to.

The lone holdout is the U.S. Senate, which was created to be a slower, more deliberative body. The filibuster slows things down by forcing the 100-member Senate to get 60 votes to move ahead on an issue.    A conviction of former U.S. President Donald J. Trump appeared unlikely as 45 Republican senators voted against holding an impeachment trial.   The head of the IDF warned Tuesday that Israel would not accept a direct return to the Iran nuclear deal and the military was preparing contingency plans in case the Iranians moved closer to producing a nuclear weapon.   U.S. President Joe Biden’s administration announced Tuesday it was restoring relations with the Palestinians and renewing aid to Palestinian refugees, a reversal of the Trump administration’s cutoff and a key element of its new support for a two-state solution to the decades-old conflict between Israelis and Palestinians.   Chinese President Xi Jinping warned Monday that US efforts to isolate China may trigger a “new Cold War,” the Washington Times (WT) reports. President Xi made his remarks during a video speech to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.    U.S. intelligence findings recently declassified by the State Department provide fresh evidence for the theory that the COVID-19 pandemic likely began at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, China’s sole high-security laboratory that has links to the country’s military.   The U.S. military is exploring the possibility of using a Red Sea port in Saudi Arabia and an additional two airfields in the kingdom amid heightened tensions with Iran, the military said Tuesday.

El Monte police said the city’s First Works Baptist church building was attacked at 1 am Saturday when an “improvised explosive device” was thrown at it. No one was in the building at the time and no injuries have been reported.    The international Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW) human rights organization has called for the immediate release of a pastor who is in custody in Cuba on what the group says are “trumped-up charges.” Cuban pastor Karel Parra Rosabal was arrested in Las Tunas on January 12 apparently because of his involvement with the Apostolic Movement, a network of independent churches that the Cuban government refuses to register, rendering them effectively illegal.       Israel on Monday night shuttered Ben Gurion Airport to nearly all flights until the end of January, amid fears over fast-spreading or vaccine-resistant coronavirus variants entering the country.      Supporters of jailed Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny have called for new protests after thousands were detained in the largest rallies against Russian President Vladimir Putin in years.    Chinese President Xi Jinping on Monday said that governments worldwide must do more to work together and put the global economy back on track.

To me, if tomorrow goes as it seems, we as a nation will be headed in a new direction.  Uncharted Waters.   Don’t hold your breath as it could be a very unique week, but keep your faith and prayers in the LORD and is HIS Love for us.  If all proceeds as expected,   Tomorrow will be a  new direction for the U.S.   Not sure at all that it will go as expected nor directed as something is not settled at all in my spirit.

It could be that God has had enough of our hypocrisy in spending coins dedicated to HIM without any regard for HIM.  For allowing millions of children to be slaughtered in the process of being born.  Of allowing our country to destroy it’s own family structure.   For washing down the Gospel to such an extent that it has become nearly powerless for the saving of souls.  Most who call themselves Christian have no interest in helping others find the saving Grace of Jesus at all.  As a nation, we have much that needs to be repented for, deeply to be repented for so that we can see the pestilence lifted as shard in Chronicles, Repent means to change to become like Jesus.

And with repentance,  it is possible for the LORD to turn everything totally around just before we go over the  dam and give us another chance at repentance and restoration.  I sure hope so.

2 Chronicles 7:13-15,   “ If I shut up heaven so no rain falls, or if I command locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among My people,  14 If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.  15 Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer offered in this place.

It is not over till it is over till someone sings…  But if we are going to have real freedom we are going to need  to learn how to share God’s Truth in love.  You can not truly love souls and allow those same souls to go into a black empty eternity without tenderly sharing with them GOD’S LOVING TRUTH….  And we can not continue to allow our children to have 16 years of education that is both atheistic and socialistic graduating with the moral ethics of a golf ball.  Many Christians think it is up to God to save the Lost but let me quote Rev. 22: 17.   “ The [Holy] Spirit and the bride (the church, the true Christians) say, Come! And let him who is listening say, Come! And let everyone come who is thirsty [who is painfully conscious of his need [d] of those things by which the soul is refreshed, supported, and strengthened]; and whoever [earnestly] desires to do it, let him come, take, appropriate, and drink the water of Life without cost.

In my spirit it seems to me that tomorrow will be the very top of our nations’s   tipping  point if you will of where there is no return.   Once the powers that be on the other side of noon tomorrow (Eastern Time) take hold it does not seem there will be any chance of returning to the freedom we have that is “Of the People, By the People and For the People.”  Abraham Lincoln…  11/19/1863.    So we really need to be in prayer….

Psalms 107:29 He calms the storm, so that its waves are still.
Richard Wurmbrand, the founder of Voice of the Martyrs, was a Romanian Jewish Believer and an amazing man of God.  He spent 14 years in communist prisons where he was tortured brutally for his faith and then lived to tell about it. In his book, The Oracles of God, he writes about acquiring inner peace and tells the following powerful story.

During a tempest at sea when a ship was being tossed to and fro by the angry waves, the wife of a naval officer asked her husband, “How can you be so calm in such a storm?”  The officer drew his sword, pointed it at his wife’s breast, and asked, “Why are you calm and unafraid?” Surprised, she protested, “Why should I be afraid? The sword is in the hand of my husband who loves me too much to harm me.”  Her husband smiled and said, “This is the source of my calm, too. The wind and the waves are in the hands of my loving Father. Why should I be afraid?”

The storms may be brewing … they very well may be upon us. You may be even going through a storm right now. But let’s remember that we’re in the hands of our loving Father. He’s right here with us and He’s going to get us through. So do not anxious about anything, and may the peace that passes all understanding guard our hearts and minds these days! For the Lord promises us, that He is with us until the end of the age!

A Hindu nationalist leader in India’s Madhya Pradesh state has demanded that local authorities shut down all churches in the state’s tribal areas, falsely claiming that Christians are carrying out mass conversions on “gullible indigenous peoples,” International Christian Concern reports. Head of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) Azad Prem Singh threatened violent action if his January 11 demand is not met within 30 days.      Forty-six Pygmies were slaughtered by the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) Islamist militia group in Ituri province in eastern DR Congo on Thursday, the Defense Post reports. Described as a “terrorist group” by International Christian Concern (ICC), the ADF is accused of slaughtering over 1000 Congolese citizens in the last year.  Joe Biden will sign a series of executive actions undoing U.S. President Donald J. Trump’s key policies within hours after taking the oath of office on Wednesday, his top aid says.     The large gatherings and possibly armed protests anticipated by the FBI at statehouses across the country ahead Wednesday’s presidential inauguration did not materialize this weekend.   Some 2,000 National Guard members were sworn in as deputies by the U.S. Marshals Service, one of several civilian law enforcement agencies that will assign special police duties to the troops ahead of Inauguration Day.    The City of David was recognized as a “testament to America’s Judeo-Christian heritage and founding principles” by the US Embassy in Jerusalem and the US Commission for the Preservation of America’s Heritage Abroad at a special ceremony on Monday.     International experts probing the origins of the novel coronavirus are holding virtual meetings from their Wuhan hotel rooms as they work their way through a mandatory 14-day quarantine period which began last Thursday, after the Chinese government eventually allowed the team to enter the outbreak epicenter city.

Scared into Greatness
God told the prophet Elijah to anoint Elisha to succeed him as prophet. Elisha had a secure future in the family business that would be turned over to him one day. But when Elijah put his mantle around Elisha, something came alive in Elisha’s spirit. He knew he was supposed to leave the familiar and go into the unknown. But it was scary. His mind said, “A prophet’s life is hard. Stay where you are. Play it safe.” But down in his spirit, something said, “This is your destiny moment. Step out in faith,” so he did.    Some opportunities don’t come a second time. Life is too short to settle for things that you know are less than what is in you. What God has in your future may scare you, but if you take that step of faith, you’ll discover that God scared you into greatness, into levels you’ve never dreamed, into taking new ground where no one in your family has gone.
    
A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that what lies ahead and is unknown to me is well known to You. Challenge me with something scary. Bring something across my path so big that only You can make it happen. I trust that You will go before me and take me to the next level. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Thoughts:
In order to walk with GOD in TRUTH we are going to need to come to a place of sound judgment.  The ability to deeply know the scriptures and the ability to hear the Holy Spirit to confirm..

Today this biblical principle of righteous judgment  is being greatly trashed lately.   The principle of knowing both side of a story (with certainty) prior do coming to a conclusion.   It is the concept of being innocent until proven guilty.  In the Old Testament and New 2 or 3 witnesses, eye witnesses was required to certify an event either good or bad.  And their stories were validated thoroughly prior to a judgment being set in place.  Proverbs 18:12-13, “Haughtiness comes before disaster, but humility before honor.   13 He who answers a matter before he hears the facts—it is folly and shame to him.  And Peter shares on how to receive the Prophets: 2 Peter 1:19-21, “And we have the prophetic word [made] firmer still. You will do well to pay close attention to it as to a lamp shining in a dismal (squalid and dark) place, until the day breaks through [the gloom] and the Morning Star rises ([a] comes into being) in your hearts.  20 [Yet] first [you must] understand this, that no prophecy of Scripture is [a matter] of any personal or private or special interpretation (loosening, solving).  21 For no prophecy ever originated because some man willed it [to do so—it never came by human impulse], but men spoke from God who were borne along (moved and impelled) by the Holy Spirit.

So it is due to the many times that the same thing is said over and over with many witnesses that the Word of God becomes alive even seeking to give us HIS TRUTH.  In Matt. 7:1, Jesus warns us about judging falsely.   “Do not judge and criticize and condemn others, so that you may not be judged and criticized and condemned yourselves.  2 For just as you judge and criticize and condemn others, you will be judged and criticized and condemned, and in accordance with the measure you [use to] deal out to others, it will be dealt out again to you.    3 Why do you [a] stare from without at the [b] very small particle that is in your brother’s eye but do not become aware of and consider the beam [c] of timber that is in your own eye?  But then Paul encourages the Church to do have righteous judgment.   1 Cor 6, The whole Chapter. but for here verses 2-3, “Do you not know that the saints (the believers) will [one day] judge and govern the world? And if the world [itself] is to be judged and ruled by you, are you unworthy and incompetent to try [such petty matters] of the smallest courts of justice?  3 Do you not know also that we [Christians] are to judge the [very] angels and pronounce opinion between right and wrong [for them]? How much more then [as to] matters pertaining to this world and of this life only!”   Today we are inundated with the news of the affairs of state and most could be false on both sides.  Events are being used to force  the desired response with threats and blame.  Objectivity is being blurred and bad decisions are being made.  We have no balanced budget, we have career politicians who are in Washington to have power, perks and to get rich.  Prayer is much needed today and true repentance as we as Christians are lacking the unity of John 17 to change the world for Jesus.  And a bit of sound judgment from God could be a great help for us.
