WISDOM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

Trinity Bible Fellowship,  Friday, 5;30   85-4554 Mamalahoa Hwy.  5/7/21,    Kahu Ken Smith

WISDOM:     WORTH CONSIDERING,  (Don’t leave earth without it.)

Why God Wants You Healthy
1.  To Declare His Love & Compassion:
“For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.  For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith, 1 Jn.5:3-4.    “And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean.”  And as soon as he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed, Mark 1:40.”

2.  To Reveal His Glory:
“…when the multitude saw it, they marveled and glorified God…Matt.9:8.”   “…when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel, Matt. 15:30-31.”  “…And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou has sent me, and hast loved them, as thou has loved me.  Jn.17:22-23

3.  To Manifest His Victory:
“For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil,”

1 John 3:8.    God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with Him,” Acts 10:37-38.

4.  To Confirm the Birthright of His Saints:
“But he was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed, Isa.53:4-5.”  “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all they diseases, Psalm 103:2-3.”  “He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall he not with Him also freely give us all things?  Rom.8:32.”  “Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness by whose stripes ye were healed, 1 Peter 2:27.”

5.  To Establish His Word:
Matt. 8:16-17, “… they brought unto Him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses, Isaiah 53.”  “… If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.  But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in Him.”  John 10:37-38

6.  To Build His Kingdom:
“For the Kingdom of God is not in word, but in power, 1 Cor.4:20.”

“And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought amount the people… There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one,  Acts 5:12-16.”

“The fear (Holy Reverence) of the LORD, is the beginning of WISDOM, and healing.  And is seen in POWER !

As the Holy Spirit was assigned by Christ Jesus (The Word of God) to gather HIS CHURCH together; knowing about the Holy Spirit is extremely important for Christians.   The Holy Spirit is possible the least understood of the Trinity of God.   Think of Water, H2O that can be solid (ice) liquid (water) vapor (steam)…   The same element but different purposes.   So the Holy Spirit as per the Bible can be sad, angry, insulted resisted, seal, confirm, empower, mis-represented and make people Holy.  Is.63:10, Mt.12:31, Acts 7:51, Eph.4:30, Heb.10:29..   He also loves, prays, teaches, testifies, communicates and heals as a person: Neh 9:20, Jn 15:26, Ac 13:2, Rom.8:26-27, 15:30, 1 Cor. 12:11.

But HE is like a wind that can not be seen except for the results and can be everywhere at the same time and in contact with every soul that is truly seeking GOD’s LIGHT.  Isaiah 11:1-11 ,   Rev. 3:1,   Rev. 4:5,   Rev. 5:6    (Wisdom, Understanding,  Counsel,  Fortitude,  Knowledge, Piety and Fear of God are HIS gifts and ministries.)    The menorah (/məˈnɔːrə/; Hebrew: מְנוֹרָה  [menoˈʁa]) is described in the Bible as the seven-lamp (six branches) ancient Hebrew lampstand made of pure gold and used in the tabernacle set up by Moses in the wilderness and later in the Temple in Jerusalem. Fresh olive oil was burned daily to light its lamps.    (Means: LAMP.)   In the Tabernacle of Moses in the wilderness, the Minorah was the prophetic promise of Christ Jesus sending the Holy Spirit to us to build HIS CHURCH.  It is not “our” church but HIS CHURCH.     We have to learn to follow the Holy Spirit to really be that CHURCH.

We are saved when we Truly make Jesus LORD and submit to HIS commandments and allow Him to rule over us and we are born from above into the Kingdom of God.   We are sealed as we give an open clear testimony in our lives as to the rule of Jesus over us.   We can also be empowered to help do HIS work on earth as we are filled with the Holy Spirit in obedience through faith.

And we can also decide to jump track and be on our own at any time.  It is not how we start out but how we finish that is important.  There is no “Get Out Of Hell” free cards or of paper to hang on the wall and then to be able do as you want to in the flesh,  Rom.8….

LOVE & OBEDIENCE,      “WORTH CONSIDERING”   5/6/21

The other evening as going to bed I was talking to the LORD or HOLY SPIRIT about love.  He was sharing with me that GOD’S kind of LOVE “does no harm.”  Obviously there is a lot of pain, suffering and harm in our world today.  So we are not all on the same page about all this.  Of course there is also the law of sowing & reaping.  We often ten to blame GOD for what we brought on to ourselves.

Seems the problem is our ability to rationalize and to presume that we do no harm, when actually,  we do.   We are taught to train up a child in the way they shall go and when they get to be an adult that will be their life style.   So obviously our system of training children in becoming adults is not working.  Especially with porn and atheism in our school systems today.  My parents never ever taught me anything about becoming an adult.  It was bad and good, obedience/disobedience,   blessings or punishment and rather soft on the punishment.  Like one time when about 6 years old I embarrassed  my mother and she whipped me with willow switches on my bare legs all the way home for 3 blocks.  And she was wrong in what she did.  The problem is that we don’t realize it but it is by example that we do most of the training.  “Monkey see, monkey do.”   And most of our love is very selfish, it is really about us.   Jesus taught us as Christians to love our enemies and to do good to them who use us badly.  Jesus taught us to go find the one out of one hundred that is lost.  We sit in our own little  comfort  zones and become our own lord and do what we want to and then tell the world that we are Christian.   By what example do we find this in Holy Scripture ?  By and large the church, so called, has opted to change GOD’s Truth into being self serving.   “If GOD wants them, HE can save them, HE does not need me.”   “The Bible teaches in Hebrews that I don’t need or have any other authority over me but the Holy Spirit.”   But then many break the 4th commandment in saying GOD said it when HE did not.  We have holding pens called churches that tell souls that GOD want’s them rich and to be successful and forget about Job and what he went through due to his bad doctrine of fear being allowed in his family.  We tend to make our truth to be God’s Truth and it will not stand in the judgment.

I came away from my conversation with the Holy Spirit feeling a lot different about what it means to “Do No Harm” in seeing it from an eternal perspective of GOD and not a subjective space of me being in charge full  of rationalization and manipulation.   And knowing the example that I am to set in the world as an example being a Christian or a  (willing slave of Christ Jesus.)  It gave me a deep feeling of responsibility of really putting on the mind of Christ and clothing myself with what he likes and does not like.  And yet it was not an intrusion into my rights but a deliverance from my rights so I could enter into the joy of my LORD.   So what in my life helps others to become like Jesus is of the Holy Spirit.   And what in my life as being self protective,  unproductive and ego centered is not.    What is all about Jesus as to what is opposed as about me.  Our Creator God has invited us to decide to live with Him in Righteousness in a Kingdom with a King.  This is the best form of government if with a good king and it is totally top down.  So we are either in a school learning to become obedient for HIS Kingdom, or we are children of this world learning to protect our own little kingdom turf.  In Rev. 22:14-17 we see the final graduation.  “Blessed are they that “DO” His Commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.”  Most so called Christians, have no idea WHAT ARE  of the true commandments of Jesus and much less, learning to be obedient..

“WORTH CONSIDERING”   “REVIVAL”   “GREAT LAST HARVEST OF SOULS”
6:00PM EDT 5/5/2021 Stephen Strang   (Facebook/Chris Reed)     As the social and spiritual climate in our nation gets worse and worse, talk of an end-times revival, even a third Great Awakening, is on the rise. Many young leaders are now declaring the approach of a coming revival, among them a 36-year-old Indiana pastor named Chris Reed, who had a supernatural encounter with an angel whose words agree with this prophetic perspective.      Reed’s encounter took place in what he calls “the libraries of heaven” with an angel he says was named “The Fear of the Lord.” In this encounter, Reed felt a holy reverence and awe as he was drawn to a bookcase labeled “The Supernatural” and to a specific book there titled “The Seven Spirits of God.”     On the front cover were the words “The Spirit of the Lord.” Each page, he told me, was thick and white, like a book within itself. The first page was titled “The Spirit of Wisdom”; the next “The Spirit of Living Understanding or Revelation”; the third, “The Spirit of Counsel”; the fourth, “The Spirit of Might” and the sixth, “The Spirit of Knowledge.” These correspond to the description of the seven Spirits of God listed in Isaiah 11:2.     Reed turned the book over, and the back cover read, “The Spirit of the Fear of the Lord.” He glanced up and then down to see that the back cover had been torn off, and all the pages in the book fell out. He was left holding the front cover, which also read, “The Spirit of the Lord.”     The angel with him in this library said, “Do you understand what you’re seeing? What you are seeing is the result of when the fear of the Lord is missing in the church. You lose the spirit of counsel and might. You lose the spirit of wisdom in everyday situations, knowing how to apply knowledge and wisdom. You lose the spirit of revelation, so people operate out of intellect and head knowledge.”     Finally, he said, “When you lose the fear of the Lord, all you’re left with is an atmosphere.” Reed instantly thought of the many church services he had been in where he didn’t see the spirit of might in the form of miracles or the spirit of knowledge in words of knowledge or revelation, but people still said, “We feel the Spirit of the Lord. We feel the presence of the Lord.”     “There’s got to be more than just an atmosphere and a feeling that the Spirit brings,” Reed says. “We’ve got to have the full, complete Spirit of God at work, or all we’re left with is an atmosphere.”     The full work of the Spirit comes when the fear of the Lord is present, he says. That means a reverential awe and a hatred of all kinds of sin, according to Proverbs 8:13, which says, “The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; pride and arrogance and the evil way and the perverse mouth I hate.”     “Holiness, godliness, returns to the church when there is a sovereign outpouring of the spirit of the fear of the Lord,” Reed says. But it doesn’t end there. Reed drew my attention to Acts 5:11, where Ananias and Sapphira lied about their giving and died. The result was that “great fear came on the entire church and all who heard these things.” This immediately led to the return of signs and wonders at an unprecedented level, a supernatural unity, a heightened respect of the church by the world, exponential growth and harvest of souls, angelic activity and the healing of the sick in unprecedented ways. All these results are found in Acts 5, after the fear of the Lord returned to the early church.     “So much is tied to a restoration of the fear of the Lord,” Reed told me. “There is a complete, sevenfold, perfected element of the Spirit of God at work in the church again. That’s what we want.”

FIRE

“FIRE”      “WORTH CONSIDERING”    5/3/21

Aloha Saints, Family & Friends,   Beloved of Jesus and me,   Ken<><

Seems my life lately has been getting cluttered with stuff lately.   A home in Kealia to complete.  A lot down the street 7 doors to clean up and make into a youth outreach ministry.   Thinking of calling it the FireHouse as a home burned down there 5 years ago and the LORD is wanting us to be filled with the fire of the Holy Spirit.  So lets do a little study together on Holy Spirit Fire today.   1st we tend to think of fire as destructive but actually the basic elements are not destroyed only changed back into basic building blocks that can be used again and again.  In the amplified Bible FIRE is mentioned 527 times and 78 in the New Testament.  One of the places in the N.T. that gets my attention is Heb. 12:25:   “ See to it that you do not refuse [to listen to] Him who is speaking [to you now]. For if those [sons of Israel] did not escape when they refused [to listen to] him who warned them on earth [revealing God’s will], how much less will we escape if we turn our backs on Him who warns from heaven? 26 His voice shook the earth [at Mount Sinai] then, but now He has given a promise, saying, “Yet once more I will shake not only the earth, but also the [starry] heaven.” 27 Now this [expression], “Yet once more,” indicates the removal and final transformation of all those things which can be shaken—that is, of that which has been created—so that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. 28 Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, and offer to God pleasing service and acceptable worship with reverence and awe; 29 for our God is [indeed] a consuming fire.

So, if we are being trained to be like HIM, Gen 1:26 there are some big changes ahead for us.  Of course God also created in us a FreeWill so we can decide, (IF) we don’t want it.  Jude writes about this.  “ 13. … wandering stars (suns), to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.   So for me, I really don’t want to go there.   So what do I need to do to change to grow into that LIGHT/FIRE of God to be like Jesus?

2 Peter 3:10-11 gives us a prophesy concerning the big change ahead.   “But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will vanish with a [mighty and thunderous] roar, and the [material] elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and  the earth and the works that are on it will be [a] burned up.  11 Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be [in the meantime] in holy behavior [that is, in a pattern of daily life that sets you apart as a believer] and in godliness [displaying profound reverence toward our awesome God],   Also in Matt. 24-25.

So for us,  it starts out in Ezek 28:18 (Prophesy concerning lucifer:)  “You profaned your sanctuaries.  By the great quantity of your sins and the enormity of your guilt,  By the unrighteousness of your trade.  Therefore I have brought forth a fire from your midst;  It has consumed you,  And I have reduced you to ashes on the earth.  In the sight of all who look at you.”    So guess what: We are being trained to be that fire in Christ Jesus, Heb. 1:6-7:   And when He again brings the firstborn [highest-ranking Son] into the world, He says,  “And all the angels of God are to worship Him.”  7 And concerning the angels He says, “Who makes His angels winds, And His ministering servants flames of fire [to do His bidding].”   Jesus also shared about this in Luke 3:15-17:  “Now the people were in a state of expectation, and all were wondering in their hearts about John, as to whether he was the Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed). 16 John answered them all by saying, “As for me, I baptize you [only] [a] with water; but One who is mightier [more powerful, more noble] than I is coming, and I am not fit to untie the strap of His sandals [even as His slave]. He will baptize you [who truly repent] with the Holy Spirit and [you who remain unrepentant] with [b] fire. 17 His [c] winnowing fork is in His hand to thoroughly clear His threshing floor, and to gather the wheat (believers) into His barn (kingdom); but He will burn up the chaff (the unrepentant) with unquenchable fire.”   This study only scratches the surface of this great truth.  Really not preached much any more?????

I Have not been sending along the Worthy Brief much lately, too depressing.   Sadly our national heritage of freedom is being quickly eroded away in a great quest for power.   As a nation we have elected many into office that are there due to their own quest for power.

But George did send along this following statement concerning faith.   “Take a leap of faith!”
Luke 17:5-6 And the apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.” So the Lord said, “If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.

The African Impala (an African antelope) are amazing creatures that can jump to a height of over 10 feet and cover a distance greater than 30 feet. Yet Impalas can be kept in a zoo inside an enclosure with a simple 3-foot wall. Why? Impalas will not jump if they can’t see where their feet will land. Do we have something in common with these antelopes? Able to take great leaps of faith, but refusing to do it unless we can see where we’ll land?      George Mueller said of faith, “Faith does not operate in the realm of the possible. There is no glory for God in that which is humanly possible. Faith begins where man’s power ends.”  In Biblical terms: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”  True faith cannot see how the landing will occur…it simply leaps under the conviction that it WILL occur. SATURDAY / SABBATH

Saturday/Sabbath     “WORTH CONSIDERING   5/1/21   From Ken Smith<><

The Jewish Sabbath (from Hebrew shavat, “to rest”) is observed throughout the year on the seventh day of the week—Saturday. According to biblical tradition, it commemorates the original seventh day on which God rested after completing the creation.  Gen.2:2-3, “ And by the seventh day God completed His work which He had done, and He rested (ceased) on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. 3 So God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it [as His own, that is, set it apart as holy from other days], because in it He rested from all His work which He had created and done.

(My personal understanding is that Genesis is a story of restoration, Isaiah 14:12-23.  But, Yes, Creation as far as Adam is concerned.  Adam was the very first of a species in the image and likeness of God with freewill, Gen.1:26.  And Adam was told to be careful of what he did with his freewill or he would spiritually die, Gen.2:16-17.   This is the same warning that Jesus give us for today.”

So what did Jesus say about the Sabbath day?
When religious leaders accused Jesus of breaking the Sabbath because his disciples plucked some grain and ate it as they walked through a field, he said: “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath” (Mark 2:27-28)

In the 10 commandments we find, written in stone by God, in Exodus 20:8-9 to the children of Abraham, “Remember the Sabbath (seventh) day to keep it holy (set apart, dedicated to God). 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work.”    Moses also writes about the Sabbath to not gather, Ex.16:26.  Not to leave home, Ex.16:29.  No work for anyone, EX.20:10.  Not even to light a fire, Ex.35:3.  And for all generations, Ex.31:13.  And anyone not in obedience to be put to death, Ex.31:14

But in the New Testament, the writer of Hebrews shares with us that the Jews never really understood the true intent of the Sabbath Rest and NEVER kept it.  Heb. 4:8-10, “[This mention of a rest was not a reference to their entering into Canaan.] For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not speak about another day [of opportunity] after that. 9 So there remains a [full and complete] Sabbath rest for the people of God. 10 For the one who has once entered His rest has also rested from [the weariness and pain of] his [human] labors, just as God rested from [those labors uniquely] His own. 11 Let us therefore make every effort to enter that rest [of God, to know and experience it for ourselves], so that no one will fall by following the same example of disobedience [as those who died in the wilderness]. 12 For the word of God is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective]. It is sharper than any two-edged [b] sword, penetrating as far as the division of the [c] soul and spirit [the completeness of a person], and of both joints and marrow [the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and judging the very thoughts and intentions of the heart. 13 And not a creature exists that is concealed from His sight, but all things are open and exposed, and revealed to the eyes of Him with whom we have to give account.”    (But consider the whole chapter.)   Obviously the Hebrews were not all killed off.  Obviously, Jesus had a much different understanding concerning the spiritual intent of what was the meaning of really keeping the Sabbath Rest.  And for this reason alone the Jewish Elders felt justified in killing Jesus.  So what was Jesus relating to in Mark 2:27-28?   Jesus took the Sabbath Rest from being a Law of death to becoming a truth of Life.  Apostle Paul in Romans shares about the “DAY,” Rom.14:4-6: “Who are you to judge the servant of another? Before his own master he stands [approved] or falls [out of favor]. And he [who serves the Master—the Lord] will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.  5 One person regards one day as better [or more important] than another, while another regards every day [the same as any other]. Let everyone be fully convinced (assured, satisfied) in his own mind. 6  He who observes the day, observes it for the Lord. He who eats, eats for the Lord, since he gives thanks to God; while he who abstains, abstains for the Lord and gives thanks to God.

So the intent of the Sabbath Rest was to bring us into the spiritual understanding that we need to learn to invite the Holy Spirit to take over our freewill and guide us not only on Saturday, The Sabbath,  but for 24/7 every day of the week.  If we walk in the Spirit, we will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh.  Rom.8:4-6, “…so that the [righteous and just] requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us who do not live our lives in the ways of the flesh [guided by worldliness and our sinful nature], but [live our lives] in the ways of the Spirit [guided by His power]. 5 For those who are living according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh (World) [which gratify the body], but those who are living according to the Spirit, [set their minds on] the things of the Spirit [His will and purpose]. 6 Now the mind of the flesh is death [both now and forever—because it pursues sin]; but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace [the spiritual well-being that comes from walking with God—both now and forever];”

So my understanding is that the Sabbath Commandment #4 was given as a start to help us learn to live by simply walking with God as He did with Adam is helping Adam to adjust to having a freewill in this world as a testing in time for the next.  Jesus was totally tested and gained the absolute victory for Himself and us.   So if we truly join with Jesus as LORD He will also help us to gain that same victory.  And not just on Saturday, but every day of the week.  He mentioned this in Matt.28:18-20, “Jesus came up and said to them, “All authority (all power of absolute rule) in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations [help the people to learn of Me, believe in Me, and obey My words], baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always [remaining with you perpetually—regardless of circumstance, and on every occasion], even to the end of the age.”

JESUS, SON OF MAN & GOD

JESUS,    SON OF MAN,    SON OF GOD    “WORTH CONSIDERING”

From Ken Smith<>< www.Trinity-Aloha.org   4/24/21

For several months the Holy Spirit has been leading me into a deeper understanding concerning  the humanity of Christ Jesus who was conceived by the Holy Spirit as per the prophets of God in the Old Testament.

In Isa. 9:6 we find the words: “For to us a Child shall be born, to us a Son shall be given;  And the government shall be upon His shoulder, And His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,  Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”  So Isaiah saw the whole of what our Eternal Creator was about to do way before it began to happen and now is in progress.  We are told by many good witnesses of the birth of Jesus as a child being born and he grew up as a son of man with no special  divine privileges.  He was anointed with the Holy Spirit at age 30 for his earthly ministry and in HIS resurrection the government was placed upon HIM as in  Matt. 28:18-20.   And now we are seeing Him as the Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Remember the sons of God in Job 1.   Adam also is listed as a son of God in Luke 3:38.   Jesus, is the only begotten Son.  Yes, Jesus was the only son of God of human birth.   But  seems there may be many  Sons  of God..  Jesus was born in Bethlehem as per Micah 5:2-5,  Isa. 9:6 & 61 as an anointed man from GOD , Isa. 61.   The Word of God made all things and in the resurrection due to the personal victory of Jesus over sin,  flesh and lucifer Jesus and the Word of God have became eternally one.   In The Father’s absolute foreknowledge Jesus always existed as so do you and I.  But there was also a birth of Jesus to bring that foreknowledge into predestination and physical reality.   Jesus is the very first to become God/man in the flesh and the 1st of many brethren as per The WORD of GOD’s design plan in Gen.1:27.   Of course in the resurrection Jesus and the Word of God merged but Jesus is still there as man in body, soul and spirit, 1 John 5:5-9.    Could Jesus have sinned like Adam,  yes.   Can God sin,  NO !!!    Jesus was all man while on earth and became GOD in HIS Resurrection through His choices and victories while on earth.   And  HE became sin for us who knew no sin that the righteousness of GOD might be extended to us because He wanted to.  Jesus  had  over 300 messianic prophesies to consider in his youth.  At the age of 12 Jesus was already aware of a Holy calling on his life.  Jesus prayed on the Mount of Olives for a way out, but there was none so in His humility and obedience He endure the Cross for the Glory that was set before HIM in faith.   The same kind of faith that we need to join up being with Him when we graduate.  1 John 4:17 “ In this [union and fellowship with Him], love is completed and perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment [with assurance and boldness to face Him]; because as He is, so are we in this world.  So we have a guaranteed Victory, if we want it.     Read Romans 8:12-39

Some of the  Church Fathers after the apostles,  made Jesus,  God at birth,  In one Council they excommunicated  hundreds of Bishops over the matter who did not agree..  Jesus as only the SON OF GOD  can make it difficult for us to identify with HIM.  It is difficult for us to see that we have available to us the same resources that Jesus did for victory over sin and to be able to have the faith become like HIM if He is GOD,  1 John 4:17.   Salvation then becomes like magic rather then following the example that Jesus as LORD set before us in holiness and victories.  We have the same Holy Spirit that HE did then and so then through God’s Grace we can learn to do what HE did in this world and become like HIM,  if we want to.  It is an open door,  Sanctification is a process.    Jesus came to us as the SON of man,  and in HIS resurrection victory  Jesus became the SON of GOD in power and is now  in the very image and likeness of GOD, Rev.1:13-18, & 2:26-29,  Jesus, son of man,  merged with the Word of God for eternity.  To believe that Jesus was God at birth would  make his whole ministry,  pure hypocrisy as it is easy for God to do anything.  Jesus was conceived and sent as a  pure 2nd Adam to show us that we could choose to become a Holy people by God Grace and Forgiveness ,  if  we wanted to.  That we could be forgiven in Jesus and walk out a life of holiness in the grace and power through the Holy Spirit with Jesus as LORD  if we would but have faith for God’s gift and grace to walk it out.  2 Peter 1:3-5  share with us what the faith in this promises can do for us.  “3 For His divine power has bestowed on us [absolutely] everything necessary for [a dynamic spiritual] life and godliness, through [a] true and personal knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. 4 For by these He has bestowed on us His precious and magnificent promises [of inexpressible value], so that by them you may escape from the immoral  freedom that  is  in  the world because of disreputable desire, and become sharers of the divine nature. 5 For this very reason, applying your diligence [to the divine promises, make every effort] in [exercising] your faith to, [b] develop moral excellence, and in moral excellence, knowledge (insight, understanding.)”

This new understanding as to the humanity and victory of Jesus in His humanity is really helping me a great deal to have a better faith dynamics in letting this world go, really not my home at all as it was also not His home.  Pray we all get together with Him in His new Kingdom of Righteousness.

RESET

RESET by Lee Grady    “Worth Considering”   4/22/21     From Ken Smith<><

Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock for three months, you know gasoline is at record low prices. I paid $1.25 a gallon last week in Georgia. Some states are reporting prices below a dollar a gallon.

There are two reasons for the price drop: Not as many people are buying gasoline because of the pandemic, and Russia and Saudi Arabia are engaged in a price war, causing the oil supply to swing up. Market analysts say they’ve never seen such a glut of oil.

As I pondered this situation a few days ago the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart and said: “Now is the time to fill up.” I knew He wasn’t talking about my car’s gas tank. Sometimes there are things in the natural world that send spiritual messages. I believe God is asking the church in this season of lockdown to fill our spiritual reserves.

Jesus talked about the importance of having enough oil. The five wise virgins in His parable in Matthew 25 made sure they had enough oil for their lamps, while the five foolish ones weren’t prepared. They were locked out of the wedding feast because they didn’t consider oil an essential commodity. Right now, during this pandemic, God has hit a “reset” button because He wants us to be ready for what’s coming.

We’ve been much like the foolish virgins. The oil of the Holy Spirit hasn’t been important to us. We can take it or leave it. We don’t think we need God’s supernatural power because we have technology, comfortable church buildings, economic prosperity, eloquent preachers and slick contemporary worship.

We figured out a way to do church without God’s help. We even have books and church growth gurus to teach us how to manufacture a cool vibe, entertain people for 60 minutes and get them out quickly. Revivalist A.W. Tozer said it this way: “If the Holy Spirit was withdrawn from the church today, 95% of what we do would go on and no one would know the difference.”

Many churches today are devoid of the Holy Spirit’s raw power. Conversions are rare. Baptismal tanks are dry. Altars are empty. We don’t hear many testimonies of healings. And how long has it been since someone was freed from a demon? Our processed version of Christianity doesn’t resemble the book of Acts.

Preparing for what’s Coming

This must change. What if God wants to send a global awakening of the Holy Spirit after this coronavirus pandemic? Do we have enough oil in our lamps to handle the next revival? Here are three things you should do immediately to prepare your heart for what’s coming:

Pray for a spiritual reset. When the pandemic started in March, my schedule was canceled, and I realized how busy I’d become. As uncomfortable as it was to adjust my routine, I knew I needed the break—even if it meant less income. I asked the Lord to change my habits, purify my thoughts and attitudes, and give me more hunger for Him. I wanted personal revival.

As I began soaking in God’s Word, I realized the day of Pentecost is May 31. The Lord told me to read the book of Acts every day in May leading up to that date. Reading about the early church has stoked my hunger for God even more. I don’t want to settle for anything less than New Testament revival. The book of Acts is still God’s template for how He works, and we need to adjust our lives to it.

Let God refine and prune. Before Jesus came, John the Baptist had to prepare the way. That process requires repentance and a washing away of the old. Whenever God is about to do a new thing, He recalibrates us so we don’t go back to our old ways. He can’t put new wine in old wineskins. The way we did things in previous seasons won’t work in this next move. Ask God to trim away the dead branches of stale religion—in your life and in your church.

Seek a refilling. Dependence on the Holy Spirit was the early church’s secret. The Spirit anointed the first disciples to heal the sick, discern evil spirits and carry the gospel boldly to difficult places. How did we ever think we could do ministry without that power?

When Paul went to Ephesus he met some men who believed in Jesus in an intellectual way, yet they had never been born again. In fact they didn’t know there was a Holy Spirit (see Acts. 19:1-7). This reminds me of many American churches. We go through the motions of church, but we are clueless about Pentecost.

Now is the time to ask Him to fill you. Don’t wait until your regular routine resumes. The last thing we need is to go back to last year’s “normal” setting. What God has in store for us in 2020 is unprecedented. Only those with full tanks will be able to handle it.

SON OF MAN & SON OF GOD

Aloha Saints, Family & Friends,   Beloved of Jesus & me,  John 3:16

LISTEN TO THE SON OF MAN, NOW SON OF GOD,   “WORTH CONSIDERING” 4/13/21

“People often ask: How do you hear the Holy Spirit’s voice? Do you hear voices? Does He speak in dreams, visions, pictures and parables? Does He show you metaphors, puzzles, analogies, enigmas, rhymes and riddles? Could you sense His presence and is it possible to smell His fragrance? Did He really speak to Moses through a burning bush, and could He do the same today? The answer is yes to all of the above questions. Although it’s rare to hear the audible voice of the Lord, He certainly could choose to speak this way if He pleases. He wants to visit us, open our eyes and give us encounters. The Holy Spirit speaks in so many ways, but we must learn to discern His voice. We must learn to filter out our own thoughts and tune in to His.

Television and radio stations are transmitting sounds at all times, but we will only hear them when we turn them on. In the same way the Holy Spirit is constantly transmitting sounds and speaking to us, but we must tune in to the frequencies of heaven to hear Him speak. Our brains process sixty billion bytes of information per second. All our thoughts converge from what we hear externally and internally. Thoughts from our history and our presence mingle together and create thoughts and emotions which result in fear, anger, happiness, joy, etc. A particular scent could bring up memories from our past. So how could we learn to discern His voice?

The other day I was playing a CD from 2002 in my car from John Paul Jackson titled “I AM” 365 Names of God. The presence of God (The Shekinah Glory) filled my car like a cloud just as it did when I played this CD nineteen years ago. I was caught up and separated from the world around me. I was thinking to myself, what happened that seemed to take the body of Christ so far off course? We used to soak in the presence of God for hours back in the day. I believe that Christians have taken their eyes off Jesus. I’m not saying that is the reason why we are in tumultuous times, but if we got back to that personal intimate relationship with the Lord and spent time in His presence, we will be able to shift the atmosphere once again and the world around us would have to respond.

As I was listening to this CD, I heard the Lord say, “There is a new sound arising.” It’s a sound coming from heaven. It’s the sound of revival, it’s the sound of restoration. It may seem as if the body of Christ is on the titanic right now and we are going down, but the Lord says, “You shall NOT go down, but My body shall rise again. Just as Lazarus was dead with no sign of life, you will rise again. Just as Ezekiel spoke to the dead bones and they came to life, you will see the coming of the Glory of the Lord in the land of the living in these latter days says the Lord.”

He is calling us to get back into that secret place and fill ourselves with His Word, then He will rise within us and overflow our being. Storing up the Word of God in your heart is crucial in sensitizing yourself to hear His voice. Store up His word as a treasure within your spirit, then you could draw from it. Pray in the Spirit to strengthen yourself and de-clutter your mind. Train your senses to discern good and evil. He will begin to speak to you in a way that only you could personally understand. When you ask Him for bread, He will not give you a stone. Ask Him for wisdom and revelation so that the eyes of your heart will be enlightened, and you will know the hope of His glory.  Elaine Tavolacci,

CREEDS     “WORTH CONSIDERING”     4/9/21         From Ken Smith<><

APOSTLES CREED: (Roman Catholic) 2-3rd Century
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; He descended into hell; on the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from there He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting.

Nicene Creed   (Orthodox) 19 June 325 AD
I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.  I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God,  begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven,  and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man.  For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate,  he suffered death and was buried,  and rose again on the third day  in accordance with the Scriptures.  He ascended into heaven  and is seated at the right hand of the Father.  He will come again in glory  to judge the living and the dead  and his kingdom will have no end.  I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,  who proceeds from the Father [and the Son],  who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified,  who has spoken through the prophets. I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.

EXPANDED CREED:  Work in progress…..
I confess that Jesus Christ is my Lord, Master, and Savior. By faith in Christ Jesus, I am forgiven, cleansed, healed and made a citizen of His eternal kingdom. Jesus Christ has redeemed me from the curse of the law of sin, sickness, weakness and eternal death through His death on the cross for me. I believe in the Trinity of one God: Almighty Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I believe that Jesus Christ is now the Creator made flesh, Jesus,  who was begotten as the second Adam. Was born of a virgin, died for my sins, rose for my justification and is coming again soon, in great glory, to establish His Kingdom on earth. I believe in the new birth from above, the baptism in water, and the baptism in the Holy Spirit. I confess that the blood of Jesus Christ has cleansed me from all my sin and I am now covered by the righteousness of God in and through Christ Jesus. I confess that I can do all things through Christ who is my strength as I abide in Him. I confess that this world is not my home. I confess that I am a pilgrim in a foreign land and I look for that certain return of my Lord Jesus Christ and His Kingdom. I confess that there is but one holy universal and apostolic Church of Jesus Christ and all those who are born from above are brethren and citizens of His kingdom. I believe that the Church of Jesus Christ is being perfected by the Holy Spirit through the Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, Teachers and other ministries of His Church until all the faithful come into the unity of the faith and the bond of peace and are changed into the image and likeness of Jesus Christ, (Eph. 4:1 16).   (Open for suggestions and corrections.  Ken<>< )

The “How To” in God’s Loving Faith and Truth on how to have the Victory that Jesus won for us is missing in some the old Creeds.  But They work great for building the Traditional Theater Church.  And for a time without a printing press helped to keep the Saints focused on essentials.   But not much on how to experience the Supernatural Victories that Jesus bought for us at the cross.,  The Holy Spirit that HE sent in HIS place is now ready to do what Jesus sent Him to do,  Isa. 61,  Eph.4:11-16,  if we will learn to have the faith for it.  But to agree to disagree with one another does not fit at all with our LORD’S PRAYER in John 17 at all.

In  Heb.2:6 “But one has [solemnly] testified somewhere [in Scripture], saying,  “What is man, that You are mindful of him,  Or the son of man, that You graciously care for him?  “You have made him for a little while lower [in status] than the angels;  You have crowned him with glory and honor,  [c] And set him over the works of Your hands;  You have put all things in subjection under his feet [confirming his supremacy].” Now in putting all things in subjection to man, He left nothing outside his control. But at present we do not yet see all things subjected to him.   9 But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while [by taking on the limitations of humanity], crowned with glory and honor because of His suffering of death, so that by the grace of God [extended to sinners] He might experience death for [the sins of] everyone,  Isa. 53,    10 For it was fitting for God [that is, an act worthy of His divine nature] that He, for whose sake are all things, and through whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, should make the [d] author and founder of their salvation perfect through suffering [bringing to maturity the human experience necessary for Him to be perfectly equipped for His office as High Priest].

Therefore man is fully responsible for his own choices as in time Romans 1.    And through the absolute foreknowledge of God all of your choices,  God has already woven those choices into the fabric of eternity even before we were born or the universe was created.  Romans 9:13.  So now we are actively living out those choices and fully responsible for them.  And if we learn to resist the lust and pride of this world through Christ Jesus we will upon death find ourselves in God’s Eternal dimension as HIS family.   Pride & Rebellion have been allowed to serve to make us spiritually stronger through the Grace of God in Christ Jesus.   Or they may send us off into eternal darkness, it is our choice.  The Creeds were designed to help us learn humility & obedience and stay on course during our life time.  In the resurrection there will be no need for Creeds for we will see clearly as we are now known by God and fully realize how utterly foolish sin really is. 1 Cor. 13.   But the process into eternity will deeply set our freewill to be so perfectly in alignment with the will of our Creator in righteousness as to be confirmed to Him in all things.  There will be no more use for Creeds or lucifers or Adams to seek to eclipse the Glory of God in pride or rebellion.  The heart of God’s Elect will be totally at peace with Christ Jesus being LORD and yet enjoy an active FREEWILL just as Jesus did with the heavenly FATHER..  Love can only exist if the will is totally free.    If you make this very temporary life and world the love of your life, and comfort zone, you will probably miss out.  Jesus is either LORD of all or HE is not LORD at all.

I HAVE LABORED in VAIN  by David Wilkerson
Would it shock you to know that Jesus experienced the feeling of having accomplished little?
In Isaiah 49:4 we read these words: “Then I said, I have labored in vain, I have spent my strength for nought, and in vain”. Note that these are not the words of Isaiah, who was called by God at a mature age. No, they are Christ’s own words, spoken by One “called from the womb; from the body of my mother. The Lord formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, (and to gather Israel)” (49:1, 5).When I came upon this passage, one that I’d read many times before, my heart was in wonder. I could hardly believe what I was reading. Jesus’ words here about “laboring in vain” were a response to the Father who had just declared, “Thou art my servant in whom I will be glorified” (49:3). We read Jesus’ surprising response in the next verse: “I have labored in vain, I have spent my strength for nought” (49:4).    After reading this, I stood to my feet in my study and said, “How wonderful. I can hardly believe that Christ was this vulnerable, confessing to the Father that he was experiencing what we humans face. In his humanity, he tasted the same discouragement, the same despondency, the same woundedness. He was having the same thoughts I’ve had about my own life: “This isn’t what I perceived was promised. I wasted my strength. It has all been in vain.”    Reading those words made me love Jesus all the more. I realized Hebrews 4:15 is not just a cliche – our Savior truly is touched with the feelings of our infirmities, and was tempted in all ways as we are, yet without sin. He’d known this very same temptation from Satan, hearing the same accusing voice: “Your mission is not accomplished. Your life has been a failure. You’ve got nothing to show for all your labors.”

Christ came into the world to fulfill the will of God by reviving Israel. And he did just as he was commanded. But Israel rejected him: “He came unto his own, and his own received him not” (John 1:11).   Why would Jesus, or any man or woman of God, speak such despairing words as these: “I have labored in vain”? How could the Son of God make such a statement? And why have generations of faithful believers been reduced to such despondent words? It is all the result of measuring little results against high expectations.  You may think, “This message sounds like it applies just to ministers, or to those called to do some great work for God. I can see it being meant for missionaries or the Bible prophets. But what does it have to do with me?” The truth is, we’re all called to one grand, common purpose, and to one ministry: that is, to be like Jesus. We are called to grow in his likeness, to be changed into his express image.

Ken’s Thoughts:
Our salvation has totally been paid for by the sacrifice of Christ Jesus in his willingness to die for us,  Isa. 53.   However, the faith of receiving that gift of life also requires us to make Christ Jesus our LORD instead of Adam.   James teaches us very clearly that faith without works is dead.  And works are what God says they are not us.   Paul covers this in 1 Cor. 3:11-15;  In fact it was on 4/28/55, when this got through my thick skull and it was then that I made Jesus LORD and was saved.  And thus began the process of yielding to  the LORD to learn obedience and to seek to eventually become like HIM.  But walking it out is not my salvation.  Walking it out It is the test of my faith that brought salvation to me.  That it was a totally a  free gift of GOD’S LOVE through the Grace of God due to the LOVE Jesus sent to me by way of HIS cross.  “The wages of sin is death but the gift of GOD is eternal life through Christ Jesus our LORD.”  But if actions and faith are not a match then there is no faith.   “And without faith, it is impossible to please GOD.”  “And faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.”  It is in believing in the great and precious promises that we changed into God’s nature.  And yes,  I know that also there is also  a gift of faith as one of the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit for ministry.  This is not the same kind of faith.  Saving faith comes from us deciding to seek, knock and ask for the God of Creation to help us find HIM due to the things made,  Rom. 1:17-32.  First thing Apostle Paul wanted to get clear in the Church at Rome.

An expanded confession of faith:   (A work in progress.)
I believe that Jesus Christ is the Creator made flesh, The Word of God who was begotten as the second Adam. He was born of a virgin, died for my sins, rose for my justification and is coming again soon, in great glory, to establish His Kingdom on earth. I believe in the new birth from above, the baptism in water, and the baptism in the Holy Spirit. I confess that the blood of Jesus Christ has cleansed me from all my sin and I am now made the righteousness of God in and through Christ Jesus. 4:1 16).
