ETERNAL QUALIFICATIONS

ALOHA FAMILY AND FRIENDS, Beloved of God and me, John 3:14-18

ETERNAL QUALIFICATIONS, “WORTH CONSIDERING” 7/7/20 From Ken<><

Today’s Scripture (Found in my mail this morning from Texas.)
“…The angel of the LORD appeared to him and said, “Mighty hero, the LORD is with you!… Go with the strength you have, and rescue Israel from the Midianites. I am sending you!…”
(Judges 6:12, 14, NLT)

Believe What God Says about You
There was a man in the Scripture named Gideon whom God wanted to lead the people of Israel against an opposing army. The angel appeared to him and said, “Hello, Gideon, you mighty man of fearless courage,” I can imagine Gideon looking around thinking, Who is he talking to? Gideon was afraid, intimidated, and insecure. But notice that God didn’t call him what he was. God called him what he could become. God sees your potential. God knows what you’re capable of. You may feel weak, but God calls you strong. You may be intimidated today, but God calls you confident. You may feel less than, but God calls you well able. If the Angel of the Lord were to appear to you today, He would say the same thing he said to Gideon. “Hello, you mighty man, you mighty woman of fearless courage.” Why don’t you get in agreement with God and start believing what He says about you?

A Prayer for Today
Father, thank You that You see my potential and know what I am capable of. Thank You that You have equipped and are empowering me to be strong where I feel weak and less than. I believe that You are transforming me into a mighty warrior. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Ken’s Comments,
In 1968 the Holy Spirit finally, after 13 years of Bible thumping churches, got a hold of me and filled me with the Holy Spirit. I had been trying for 13 years to help other folks find Jesus and in that whole time only got one guy to make Jesus LORD. But after that it seemed where ever I went there was ripe fruit on the tree to be picked. I started with a small ministry call Zion Lodge in Dexter, Or. under a mountain called Zion Mountain. 70 acres of beautiful Oregon forest land and put a little Christian Community together. Kids came from everywhere. Set up a field kitchen with a tarp overhead, built to bunk houses and hauled in a trailer. Put in a road, power and dug a well for water. As later I moved on to Eureka, CA. it became Shiloh Ministries. Then the Lord has be take an old Cost Guard Station and make it LightHouse Ranch and we saw a lot of kids show up there for salvation and mentoring. After a year headed to Hawaii and started the Pilgrims in 1971. But there was one scripture that I used a lot and it fits with the stuff above. It is found over in 1 Cor. 1:20-31 AMP At the meetings I would share on this part of Scripture.

“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise [the philosophy of the philosophers],
And the cleverness of the clever [who do not know Me] I will nullify,” Isa. 28
20 Where is the wise man (philosopher)? Where is the scribe (scholar)? Where is the debater (logician, orator) of this age? Has God not exposed the foolishness of this world’s wisdom? 21 For since the world through all its [earthly] wisdom failed to recognize God, God in His wisdom was well-pleased through the [c]foolishness of the message preached [regarding salvation] to save those who believe [in Christ and welcome Him as Savior & Lord]. 22 For Jews demand signs (attesting miracles), and Greeks pursue [worldly] wisdom and philosophy, 23 but we preach Christ crucified, [a message which is] to Jews a stumbling block [that provokes their opposition], and to Gentiles foolishness [just utter nonsense], 24 but to those who are the called, both Jews and Greeks (Gentiles), Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25 [This is] because the foolishness of God [is not foolishness at all and] is wiser than men [far beyond human comprehension], and the weakness of God is stronger than men [far beyond the limits of human effort]. 26 Just look at your own calling, believers; not many [of you were considered] wise according to human standards, not many powerful or influential, not many of high and noble birth. 27 But God has selected [for His purpose] the foolish things of the world to shame the wise [revealing their ignorance], and God has selected [for His purpose] the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong [revealing their frailty]. 28 God has selected [for His purpose] the insignificant (base) things of the world, and the things that are despised and treated with contempt, [even] the things that are nothing, so that He might reduce to nothing the things that are, 29 so that no one may [be able to] boast in the presence of God. 30 But it is from Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God [revealing His plan of salvation], and righteousness [making us acceptable to God], and sanctification [making us holy and setting us apart for God], and redemption [providing our ransom from the penalty for sin], 31 so then, as it is written [in Scripture], “He who boasts and glories, let him boast and glory in the Lord.”

So I would ask the big room full of hippies if anyone there would qualify as being: foolish, weak, insignificant, base, despised and nothings? Their loud unified affirmation was a big YES !!! Big humility. And the Holy Spirit would show up with lots of healing and deliverance for all. We have been about building Religious Pride & Ego rather than spiritual humility and obedience and are mostly powerless.

Yours, in HIS great Love and wonderful Grace and Mercy, Ken<>< www.Trinity-Aloha.org

Worthy Brief <worthybrief@worthynetwork.com>
A good friend sent us this story. A well-known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20 bill. In the room of two hundred, he asked, “Who would like this $20 bill?” Hands immediately started going up. “I am going to give this $20 bill to one of you but first, let me do this.” He proceeded to crumple the dollar bill up. He then asked, “Who still wants it?” Still, hands were up in the air. “Well,” he replied, “What if I do this?” And he dropped it on the ground, spit on it and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty. “Still want it now?” Surprisingly, hands still didn’t go down.” “My friends, I think we’ve all learned a valuable lesson here. No matter what I did to this money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was worth twenty whole dollars no matter what I did to it.” “Often in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, spit upon and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless.

The U.S. Supreme Court is poised to cap a term like no other with potentially blockbuster decisions covering birth control, religious rights and President Donald Trump’s efforts to keep his financial records private. Mississippi has a new law, according to which it is illegal to perform an abortion on the sole grounds of the baby’s race, sex, or disability, the Washington Free Beacon reports. Gov. Tate Reeves (R., Miss.) signed the Life Equality Act (LEA) into law on Wednesday. Californians are temporarily banned from singing in churches as part of an effort to stop the spread of the coronavirus’s new spike..
