DREAMS & VISIONS,     “WORTH CONSIDERING”    7/10/20     From Ken<><

Today’s Scripture    (Across my desk this morning from Texas.)
“…When the LORD restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dreamed. Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy…”  (Psalm 126:1–2, NIV)

The Laughter of Amazement
The Israelites had been taken into captivity by the Babylonians. The return and the restoration of Jerusalem had been anticipated for so long that it seemed like a dream to them. Some of them had waited their entire lifetime. Their joy was beyond containing. They were laughing in amazement, saying, “This is like a dream. It’s too good to be true.”  Some of the things you’ve been dreaming about—to get out of debt, to start that business, to meet the right person, to finish college—the odds may be against you, it seems laughable, but God is about to surprise you. Stay in faith, because like the Israelites, the day is coming where God fills your mouth with the laughter of amazement. It’s going to seem like a dream. You’re not only going to be amazed, but the people around you are going to be so in awe that all they can do is laugh with you.

A Prayer for Today
Father, thank You for the things You’ve put into my heart that seem laughable and that I have to dare to believe can happen. Thank You that You do what seems to be too good to be true. I’m going to stay in faith and look forward to laughing in amazement. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Ken’s Thoughts:
You know, our Creator must have a really deep sense of humor.  I can see HIM in my mind grinning from ear to ear when he created the ducked billed platypus.   Here is a mammal on an Island continent that has a beak like a duck, lays eggs like a bird but has fir like a rabbit and has poison spikes on both back legs for protection.  Nothing else in the whole world even comes close.  I think our Creator got a really big smile when the evolutionist tried to figure that one out. And I use to be an Earth Science Major in college.   No wonder Darwin said that evolution was unproven and unprovable just before he died.   I can also see our Creator laughing at Ananias when he tried to teach HIM about Saul/Paul HIS chosen apostles to the gentiles.  Even Peter got a little wet with Jesus on the water, but he was trying.  I am sure Jesus was smiling at the effort.  God must have a good sense of humor as HE created one in us.  We have a feisty little ferial hen that comes and talks to us when she is hungry and wants food.  She is impressive and will not take no for an answer.   Always good for a smile, And share about colors and shapes, just go snorkeling around here. The ocean is full of good humor in creation.  One day a little 3″ fish, a humuhumunukanukaapuwapa got up in my face to take me on…  She would not go away, nipped me on a finger.  Finally figured it out that I was over her nest of eggs and disturbing her peace of mind. Woke up one morning with a squirrel right in my face reaching for my nose, I was in a hammock between two trees in an Arrowhead Park.  The world is full of adventure and humor and we are too if we don’t allow the world, the flesh and devil to steal our Joy with junk.

Yesterday a guy was talking to me about his father and really talking stink about him.  I knew him and some of my best of memories include some of the times that I had with him as my friend.  And was deeply reminded of the LORD example of prayer.  Forgive us of our trespasses as we forgive others of their trespasses.  I have set my mind to think only of and to share only of the good things that my father and mother did for me.   And to totally forget the junk and stink.  It is only when we let go of all of the pains and causes in our past that we can have any hope for the freedom to enjoy what days we have left.  Our Adamic Ego tries to build on a foundation of bad to make us feel and look good. (PRIDE)    But it never leaves the ground.  All of that stink and snot just keeps us grounded.  So want to learn to fly with the Holy Spirit in joy,  need to lighten up and let the junk of the past go by by, and you will never miss it.  Do unto others as you would like others to do to you.  Those who talk stink will find that they are all time living in stink.  We reap what we sow.  It is an immutable law of God.  What you plant will grow and produce a big crop.  If you plant weeds, all of your life will be covered in weeds.   Plant  joy, humor, love, peace, humility and obedience and you will eventually enjoy a beautiful lovly garden in the peace of GOD.

Yours, in HIS great Love and wonderful Grace and Mercy,   Ken<><   www.Trinity-Aloha.org

The Supreme Court on Thursday ruled that “no citizen, not even the President, is categorically above the common duty to produce evidence when called upon in a criminal proceeding.     Nearly half of Oklahoma remains a Native American reservation, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled Thursday, in a case that could have major consequences for how some crimes are prosecuted in the state.   (Looks like Hawaii may be coming up for consideration very soon.  Ken<><)
