FORGIVENESS (BOTH/WAYS)

ALOHA FAMILY & FRIENDS,  Beloved of God and me…     John 3:16-18,   Rom. 10-9-14

FORGIVENESS,   “WORTH CONSIDERING”   4/13/20   From Ken<><

Today’s Scripture     (Across my emails this morning)
“…The accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.”   Revelation 12:10, NKJV)

Turn Off the Accusing Voices
The enemy will remind you of everything you’ve ever done wrong. It’s easy to live in regret, thinking about what you did or didn’t do. Don’t go through life looking in your rearview mirror, being down on yourself, living in regret. You can’t do anything about the past, but you can do something about your future. The moment you asked God to forgive you, He forgave you. Why don’t you forgive yourself and empty out all the guilt? Turn off the accusing voices that try to deceive you into living with condemnation.

None of us deserve to be blessed. We deserve judgment. This is what God’s mercy is all about. That’s why it’s called “the good news.” Your sins have already been paid for and forgiven. You don’t have to pay God back. When the accuser says, “You blew it again!” just answer, “I’m not perfect, but I’m forgiven, and I’m moving forward.” Don’t let guilt poison your future.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, and that includes me. Thank You that the enemy has no power over my life. I declare that I’m not perfect, but I am forgiven, and I’m moving forward in victory. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Thoughts:
This is a very very important message today.  If we don’t absolutely cut off the past junk and sins we have committed and do the same for everyone else.  That mass of do do will keep you forever in a sea of depression.   Jesus expressly came to give us God’s Truth and that HIS truth would set us absolutely free.  Not a freedom to continue in sin.  But a freedom to enjoy the victorious presence of God in our lives to make us want to do everything to please HIM.  When we believe from our heart HIS precious promised we are able to absorb HIS Divine Nature and to become like HIM.  We also see the trip wires attached to bad stuff before we trigger them.  We can learn to walk in the Holy Spirit as Jesus did.  The most joy I know is to be blessed by God when I get to do something right.  HIS gentle reassuring pat on my head is the best ever.   Of course during the learning process if we do make a mistake, we can quickly repent and HE picks us up again and dusts us off and sits our feet on the rock and encourages us to again go for it.  Sowing and Reaping may still happen to remind us not to do that again.  My father, every Christmas, during the great depression found a way to buy at least one toy that would challenge me to grow.  Play Dough, Erector Sets, Lincoln logs, chess/checkers, Monopoly, Chemistry, Photography and I feel that our Heavenly Father also does the same to help us grow spiritually.  HE takes us from what ever pit that we are stuck in, cleanse us,  and has the Holy Sprit start the process of making us like Jesus.  Of course HE will never violate our free will and we can bail at any time.  And that our own our free will, misguided, can get us into a world of hurt.  So we quickly learn to stay close to HIS truth in doctrine and to obey the Holy Spirit.  And that this world is only temporal for testing, we are just passing through.

SEVEN (7) Greek words for love.
    Eros: romantic, passionate love. …
    Philia: intimate, authentic friendship. …
    Ludus: playful, flirtatious love. …
    Storge: unconditional, familial love. …
    Philautia: self-love. …
    Pragma: committed, companionate love. …
    Agápe: empathetic, universal love.

Agape is universal love, such as the love for strangers, nature, or God. Unlike storge, it does not depend on filiation or familiarity. Also called charity by Christian thinkers, agape can be said to encompass the modern concept of altruism, defined as unselfish concern for the welfare of others.  Long Ago the Holy Spirit shared with me HIS definition:  “Love (agape) is the highest good for the other person regardless of personal cost.”   Agape (Ancient Greek ἀγάπη, agapē) is a Greco-Christian term referring to love, “the highest form of love, charity” and “the love of God for man and of man for God”.

We see Agape Love in Christ Jesus in His willingness to die the most painful of deaths for our salvation.  And He could have chosen to avoid it but did it anyway for the glory that was set before HIM of what it would do for us.  And the scriptures mention that the goodness of God helps us to repent.  To turn from the lusts of the flesh, lust of the eyes and pride of this world and to ingest Christ Jesus as our ideal and our LORD (boss) (master),

From Worthy Brief     worthybrief@worthynetwork.com
Remember in the Garden of Gethsemane that all the disciples had fled in terror because of their connection with Yeshua. Yet not much later they experienced an astounding transformation which empowered them to preach the gospel fearlessly and face all kinds of suffering and martyrdom. What inspired this transformation? The resurrection… the living, breathing Lord who appeared to them in a glorious resurrected body. No longer were they concerned about this life, having experienced the reality that death’s power had been absolutely overcome and there was nothing remaining in this world to threaten or shake their complete confidence in eternal life.   The letter of James identifies believers in Jesus as “a kind of firstfruits of all He created”; [James 1:18]. Through our faith In the Lord’s resurrection, we have received His Holy Spirit and gained His resurrection life and power. It is a power over the fear of death, an overcoming power which enables us to endure and triumph over every kind of threat, problem, affliction, every trial or test involving suffering, pain, even the greatest anguish this life can bring. It’s the same power that filled the Lord’s disciples and transformed them from terrified men into fearless witnesses.  We are no longer bound by the circumstances of our lives – but, as “firstfruits” who share in the resurrection life of our Lord, are empowered to endure, be transformed by, and ultimately overcome everything we face. Paul exults in this wondrous triumph, “But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” And then he offers this exhortation, “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.”

RESURRECTION SUNDAY

ALOHA FAMILY AND FRIENDS

RESURRECTION SUNDAY,  1st day of the week

Tom and Kuulei O’Dowd,  Long time friends of mine from Bogart,  Georgia sent this along for tomorrow and I felt to send it along.  Hope you really enjoy your “House Church” interactive 1 Cor. 14:23 family/friends fellowship tomorrow.  BLESSINGS TOM FOR YOUR WITNESS O:-)

Actually the Church of Christ Jsus is never empty and Biblically the Church is really 2 or 3+ souls enjoying fellowship with each other in the Holy Spirit at any time and in any place.   I have even enjoyed having church in the middle of Home Depot at times with a spontaneous small gathering in the Spirit with other true believers.  One really heavy duty young man who works at Home Depot wants to have church when ever he sees me in Home Depot.   So enjoy your day at home and have church with your family. In the New Testament you will find you are in good company with the mention of about 11 house churches.    Make it a time to really research what the Early House Church was like as a forum and not as a theater.  Make this a time of remembering HIS resurrection victory over death, hell and the grave for us.   And that as totally human in all points as we are except for the Adamic sin nature HE was able to have total victory for Himself and for us in HIS Resurrection.  That HE made the way for us.  HE opened the doors wide for us to be able to join HIM>  Use my book, if you like: www.Trinity-Aloha.org   goto:   “Keys To The Kingdom.”  Early Church

I have recently been spending time considering Christ Jesus as the Son of Man.  It has been a great study.  Jesus as the second Adam was absolutely limited to the resources that we have available to us today including God’s Grace.  In HIS Resurrection it was absolutely demonstrated that God, The Father, totally accepted the efforts of Christ Jesus to set us free.  Isa. 53.     In Adam we were born spiritually dead,  not our fault.  And we were also born with the nature of Adam of pride and rebellion to be the servants of sin and die as Adam..   But then the man, Christ Jesus came with full authority and commitment to reverse the curse and restore us to the potential of being like HIM.  So God our Creator is now holding up a big sign,  “Whosoever will, may come and drink of the waters of life freely.”  Rev.22  So our Creator God can now set before us life and death and has given us a life time in which to choose.  Tomorrow, is another 1st day of the week but set aside to consider what we have , by way of the Victory and Resurrection of Christ Jesus.   His death and resurrection was certified by all 12 of his disciples.    Eleven of HIS disciples died as Martyrs to blood certify the truth of this fact.  As to John, we don’t know historically how he died.   But in secular history the story goes that they tried to boil him but he would not boil so in fear they exiled him to the island of Patmos.  It was there that John transcribed The Book of The Revelation of Christ Jesus.   There is no better witness that one who will die for what he believes.  John was also a part of that witness.  So we have more than enough witnesses to know that Jesus Christ was victorious in HIS Resurrection and HIS mission on earth.

So now we should dig deep this time of the year in remembering HIS great love for us.   So how are we doing.  Are we really walking in HIS Commandments or just faking it.   Do we even know and keep HIS commandments at all, as LORD?   Or are we just doing our duty to observe this time of the year and grade our own report cards with grade averaging on the sliding scale?   Not one word in the New Testament about the CHURCH being a building????   it is US !!!!!  And we are the only Jesus that the world will ever see at this time in history.   Eph. 4:11-16.

11 And [His gifts to the church were varied and] He Himself appointed some as apostles [special messengers, representatives], some as prophets [who speak a new message from God to the people], some as evangelists [who spread the good news of salvation], and some as pastors and teachers [to shepherd and guide and instruct], 12 [and He did this] to fully equip and perfect the saints (God’s people) for works of service, to build up the body of Christ [the church]; 13 until we all reach oneness in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God, [growing spiritually] to become a mature believer, reaching to the measure of the fullness of Christ [manifesting His spiritual completeness and exercising our spiritual gifts in unity]. 14 So that we are no longer children [spiritually immature], tossed back and forth [like ships on a stormy sea] and carried about by every wind of [shifting] doctrine, by the cunning and trickery of [unscrupulous] men, by the deceitful scheming of people ready to do anything [for personal profit]. 15 But speaking the truth in love [in all things—both our speech and our lives expressing His truth], let us grow up in all things into Him [following His example] who is the Head—Christ. 16 From Him the whole body [the church, in all its various parts], joined and knitted firmly together by what every joint supplies, when each part is working properly, causes the body to grow and mature, building itself up [a] in [unselfish] love.   1 Cor. 13,  use to sing it when ever we came together….

FORGIVENESS

ALOHA FAMILY AND FRIENDS,  Beloved of God and me.    John 3:16-18

FORGIVENESS,   “WORTH CONSIDERING”   4/10/20

Today’s Scripture   (Found in my emails from Texas this morning.)
“…Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” Lk. 23:34

Forgive So You Can Be Free
As Jesus was hanging on the cross, having been betrayed by one of His disciples, falsely accused by the religious authorities, mocked by soldiers, and about to breathe His last breath, He did something significant. He said, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” They didn’t ask for or deserve forgiveness. But Jesus was showing us by example to release the toxin of unforgiveness so that nothing will hold us back.

When somebody does us wrong, human nature wants to hold on to the hurt and anger, to carry around a bitter grudge. We think, I’m not going to forgive them. They don’t deserve it. But you’re not forgiving for their sake; you’re forgiving for your sake. Unforgiveness is a toxin that will contaminate your life. When you forgive, as Jesus did, you’re not excusing their behavior. You’re simply getting the poison out of you. You have to forgive so that you can be free.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for Your love toward me. Thank You that because I am freely forgiven by Jesus on the cross, I can also forgive others for anything they’ve done wrong to me. I declare that I’m letting it go and getting the poisons out of my life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

My Thoughts:
One of the major things in the LORD’s example of prayer that the disciples asked HIM for.  First HE honored HIS name and Kingdom to come and to bless us with a stable life and food and in verse 12 made the clear statement, want to be forgiven?  Forgive!!!  And in verse 14-15 and Jesus doubles down on it again as very important: “For if you forgive [j] others their trespasses [their reckless and willful sins], your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive others [nurturing your hurt and anger with the result that it interferes with your relationship with God], then your Father will not forgive your trespasses.”  Matt.6:8-15

I also agree with the statement that Unforgiveness is personally Toxic and impairs your health.

This is something that I had to go through with my parents over and over till now I look back and only remember the good things that they did for me while growing up as an introverted spoiled lonely only child.  Later I could see why I had no younger siblings, I would have probably killed them.  And later I began to remember what I did that in many ways caused them to react to me the way that they did.   And in humility and obedience I had to ask the Lord for forgiveness for my part of their frustrations.  like at age 15, filling with gas and tying all of my fathers white long rubber balloons with thread to the front porch up about 500 feet in the air just about when he came home…  Or the time, also 15,  I made about 2# of black gun powder and nearly burned down the rental house we were living in.

Yours, in HIS great love and wonderful grace, mercy & forgiveness,    Blessings   Ken<><

PROPHETIC CALENDAR FOR 2020 ?

2020’s Prophetic Calendar        Seems to me there may be a good bit of truth in this message,  we will see…..
But there does seem to be a bit too many “I” in the whole thing?    Ken<><

We all learned the three R’s in elementary school. Recently, the Holy Spirit taught me three spiritually significant R’s concerning the calendar for 2020. I shared my prophetic dream on Sid Roth’s It’s Supernatural on April 6, 2020.

I share the prophetic calendar with you in hopes it will provide guidance as you follow the Spirit of God:

—The first four months of 2020 (January-April):

Repentance: deep sorrow and contrition for sin.

—The second four months of 2020 (May-August):

Recovery: to return to a state of health, mind and strength.

Get Spirit-filled content delivered right to your inbox! Click here to subscribe to our newsletter.

—The last four months of 2020 (September-December):

Recompense: compensation or reward for loss or suffering.

The following are 10 prayerful observations I have made:

  1. I believe the above timeline God recently showed me with the three R’s will mark much of what we will see take place in the United States in 2020.
  1. I believe the COVID-19 death count being projected by the medical community simply does not add up. It is inflated and has a fear mongering agenda that we must refuse to submit to. Yes, people are dying and we need to take this seriously, but there is a narrative at play here. See more below!
  1. I believe the medical community is intentionally adding numbers to the death count prediction to make themselves not look so “off.” (There is more exposure and evidence coming here to prove this.)
  1. I believe the lockdowns will not hold in many states as the curve is already flattening and in some places was just inaccurate. The spirit of fear and a liberal agenda will try to stretch out the lockdowns as long as possible in order to crash the economy and make Trump look bad. Depending on which state you live in, the agenda there will determine how long you are in lockdown. Do not be surprised by April 30 and shortly thereafter that large parts of the economy are back up and running. Do not be surprised that in some states where and if the lockdowns are extended that rioting and looting take place.
  1. I believe Donald Trump felt it necessary to partner with the medical community and their false projections knowing and believing that he would come out of this pandemic looking like a war hero. I don’t think he ever truly believed that hundreds of thousands of Americans would die due to COVID-19 nor would we be on lockdown for months. He did what he had to and if the timeline God showed me is accurate, I would predict going into the 2020 reelection that with the economy booming and numbers soaring he will win by a landslide.
  1. I believe and have given numerous prophetic warnings concerning Donald Trump that some of the great dangers moving forward is pride and arrogance. God has raised him up and anointed him for such a time as this, but he must remember who it is who put breath in his lungs!
  1. I believe Donald Trump and many nations are going to turn on China in the months ahead. There will be bombshell reports and exposure that will cause an uproar heard around the nations. Trump is going to strike deals and build bridges never thought possible in the history of America.
  1. I do not believe that mandatory vaccinations and microchips are coming in the near future. While there has been quite a bit of prophetic exposure and narratives swirling around, I’m convinced this one is more conspiracy theory rather than accurate prophetic prediction.
  1. I believe that God has not forgotten about the children—both those aborted in the womb and those being sex-trafficked. The invitation still sits upon heaven’s altar for a generation to rise up and see abortion outlawed and the sex slave trade industry destroyed.
  1. I believe that a majority of the mainstream global church will return back to “normal” as in the days of Noah. However, God is looking for a remnant to build “arks of His presence” in preparation for future shaking. Noah took care of his “household” and God is looking for churches and ministries to focus on healthy marriage and family like never before. Living rooms and dining room tables will be some of the primarily vehicles God uses for His glory in the last days.

RESPONSIBILITY

ALOHA FAMILY & FRIENDS,  Beloved of God and me….   John 3:16-18,   12:24-26,   17: 20-26

RESPONSIBILITY,    “WORTH CONSIDERING”   4/9/20

Today’s Scripture   (Across my emails this morning from Texas.)
“…And he said to them, “Pick me up and throw me into the sea; then the sea will become calm for you. For I know that this great tempest is because of me.”  (Jonah 1:12, NKJV)

Take Responsibility
After God told the prophet Jonah to go preach to the city of Nineveh, he refused and got on a ship headed in the opposite direction. So the Lord sent a violent storm that threatened to break the ship apart. God knows how to get our attention. When you know you’re going the wrong way, things start to fall apart. You can’t pray away the winds because you’re the reason for the storm. God loves you too much to let you miss your destiny. Fortunately, when confronted by the sailors, Jonah admitted, “I’m the cause.” Taking responsibility is the first step to victory.

As long as you make excuses for what you know is wrong in your life, the difficulties are going to continue year after year. God asks you to deal with any areas of compromise. He wants to grow you up. He has some Nineveh’s for you to go to,  people for you to impact, and new levels of your destiny.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that You love me too much to let me miss my destiny. Thank You that You give me second chances when I go the wrong way. I choose to take responsibility and deal with whatever holds me back from the next level of my destiny. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Thoughts:
The story of Jonah was always a story that caught my attention.  Of course my school taught that it was impossible for a whale to swallow anything as big as a man.  And then someone taught that the scripture really says that God prepared a giant fish?  And then someone else came along with the possibility of a shark whale and by that time the essence of the story was lost in the FISH details.   And you will find a lot of folks that get seriously lost in the details and go do something else with their time.  So much so that they get lost in the world’s system of stuff and lusts of Adam.  It is so easy to miss out on the true meaning for our existence on planet earth.   Even Jonah did not see it  clearly.  After he did in final obedience warn Nineveh and they heard his message and repented he was disappointed concerning God’s love and benevolence.  He had more compassion for his shade than for the whole city.    And sorry to say, it seems that most folks today, who call themselves Christian,  seem to be in the same boat.   They have more loving care for their cat or dog than even members of their own family.  Family members who may be hurting and lost as unrepentant Nineveh.  Perhaps like the blog from Texas, perhaps you are a Jonah Christian and have found some phoney excuse not to share God’s wonderful plan of redemption with those of your family?

Like Jesus said, he did not, this time, come to bring peace but a sword.  That HE would begin the process of dividing the darkness from the light.   And that HIS Truth and Light would even divide families.   My parents, not once, ever tried to share with me the Gospel, even though they both considered themselves to be Christian.   My grandmother was an L.D.S. Mormon.  Her kids, my great aunts, tried to make me a Mormon but their Jesus was not the same Jesus of the Bible, John 8:24, 28, 58,  the Word of God spoke through Jesus clearly as the I AM who made all things and gave Moses the 10 commandments.  So the Mormon Jesus and the Bible Jesus are not the same.  In fact in John 8:24 Jesus clearly states:

24 That is why I told you that you will die in (under the curse of) your sins; for if you do not believe that I am (He )[Whom I claim to be—if you do not adhere to, trust in, and rely on Me ], you will die in your sins.  And even the translators did not understand what Jesus was saying as they added the word (He) that is not in the Greek so that it should have read:

24 That is why I told you that you will die in (under the curse of) your sins; for if you do not believe that I AM  [Whom I claim to be—if you do not adhere to, trust in, and rely on Me], you will die in your sins.  (Which is also in context with the other two places in John 8 where I AM is mentioned.  John 8:24, 28, & 58.)

So the Devil is truly in the details and you have thousands of Mormons on the wrong road as they believe that Christ Jesus is an angel created by God rather than God the Creator. And it seems to me that many who believe that they are safe and Christian are not.  They are not as they have not really come to a place of humility and obedience in their lives in making Christ Jesus, LORD,

Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  10 For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation.  11 The Scripture says, No man who believes in Him [who adheres to, relies on, and trusts in Him] will [ever] be put to shame or be disappointed.  12 [No one] for there is no distinction between Jew and Greek. The same Lord is Lord over all [of us] and He generously bestows His riches upon all who call upon Him [in faith].  13 For everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord [invoking Him as Lord] will be saved.  14 But how are people to call upon Him Whom they have not believed [in Whom they have no faith, on Whom they have no reliance]? And how are they to believe in Him [adhere to, trust in, and rely upon Him] of Whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without a preacher?    Romans 10:9-10….AMPC

I like the Amplified Bible here as the Translation indicates that the word believe has much deeper and more profound commitment levels in the Greek than the English.  The word really means like sitting in a chair, if it goes down, you would go down with it.  It means a lot more than Sunday morning pew polishing or “if I feel like it” Really you really can end up in hell for fornication or adultery and other stuff.  Read Rev. 22 if you don’t believe me….  Only in  Love, humility,  faith  and obedience can any one ever hope to gain entrance into the eternal Celestial City of God.

Yours, in HIS great love and wonderful Grace and Mercy, Ken<><    www.Trinity-Aloha.org

STUFF:      “WORTH CONSIDERING”     5/8/20

Today’s Scripture     (Across my emails this morning from Texas.)
“…But godliness with contentment is great gain.”  (1 Tim. 6:6, NIV)

Always Be Your Best
After David had been anointed to be the next king of Israel, he spent years taking care of his father’s sheep. David could have thought, God, what am I doing stuck with a bunch of sheep? But David knew that God was in control, so he just kept going to work with a good attitude, grateful for where he was. Because he was content in the shepherds’ fields, he made it to the throne. He passed that test. But if you’re not content in the season you’re in, even if your dreams do come to pass, you won’t be satisfied. Discontentment will follow you everywhere you go.  You have to train your mind to be thankful and satisfied with where God has you right now. Be content whether you have a lot or not. Content whether your children are in diapers or in college. Content whether you’re in maintenance or management. Pass the tests on your way to the throne.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that I can come to You with thanksgiving for all the circumstances in my life. Help me to always see the good and to be grateful for what I have now. I choose to enjoy the season I am in and not just endure it. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Thoughts,
Long ago I remember a TV interview between a lovely lady and J. Paul Getty, then the richest man in the U.S. and perhaps world.   They had be going through acres and acres of climate controlled warehouse space protecting the antiques from around the world that Mr. Getty had been collecting.      On the steps as she was leaving Mr. Getty, she had just one more question.  She asked him, “Mr Getty, Just how much will it take to make you happy?”   And he gently smiled and replied, “Just a little bit more.”   Like the old joke, “He who dies with the most toys, wins.”

In the Holy Scriptures we find Jesus teaching on these thoughts.   And He said to them, Guard yourselves and keep free from all covetousness (the immoderate desire for wealth, the greedy longing to have more); for a man’s life does not consist in and is not derived from possessing [a] overflowing abundance or that which is [b] over and above his needs.  Luke 12:15 AMPC

Let your character or moral disposition be free from love of money [including greed, avarice, lust, and craving for earthly possessions] and be satisfied with your present [circumstances and with what you have]; for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!] Heb. 13:5

It is not until the middle of the Great Tribulation that the victory over the whole kingdom is won.   The seventh angel then blew [his] trumpet, and there were mighty voices in heaven, shouting, The dominion (kingdom, sovereignty, rule) of the world has now come into the possession and become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ (the Messiah), and He shall reign forever and ever (for the eternities of the eternities)!  Rev. 11:15.  So really, You can only keep what you send ahead.  So we will be on the stuff and things battle field until then and then we will be wondering why we gave stuff any consideration or time at all.

But there is a balance here.            (Maggie asked me for some story time,  Aloha Maggie.)
I remember, long ago preaching to a large assembly on Matt.5:39-44 and was really in the Spirit and having a great time.   About that time I also had a 1968 Chevy Van that I converted into a camper and was using it every day for the family and ministry.   So that Monday morning after the Sat. Fellowship this youthful hippy kid, no shirt, long hair, long time between baths sauntered up to me.  And said, Pastor or Kahu?  “I really enjoyed your message on Sat. evening.  Did you really mean all of that stuff.”  Of course, it is God’s Word, I needed to back it up and said, “Yes, Every Word…”   And he quickly changed the subject to my van which was right there.  And he started giving me the story that he was homeless and no wheels and having a very difficult time surviving. “   And he ended it up by saying” and God told me that I could have your Chevy Van if I came and asked you for it, like the coat you were  preaching about.”   About that time all of the alarms went off in my head, “This kid is after MY! Van, LORD!!!!   So I prayed for a moment silently and then ask him to excuse me, I needed to go pray.   So I went out alone on the West side of the Old Stone (topless, so called, no roof) Church and began to offer up one of those “HELP” kind of prayers….  Knowing that I had squarely been had or caught with my good preaching of the LORD’s TRUTH.   So I not as much got the words out of my mouth and the word of the Lord came to me in my heart, simply, lovingly “Whose Van is it?”   And I quickly thought, O’ O’, there goes the Van.  And I said, LORD, you know that I belong to you and everything I have belongs to you, It is your Van!”   He very quickly answered, “GOOD, don’t give it to him.”   I could have been pushed over with a straw.   So I returned to the Kid and said, “Well I went and talked to my boss, and HE said not to give it to you.”  “Seem you boss and my Boss are not the same.”   He quickly turned around and took off south down Alii Dr.  I look back and think?  “I wonder, if I has said, it was mine, if the outcome would have been different.  With the rich young ruler, Jesus told him to give it all away.  But with the Rich man Joseph, HE only asked to borrow his tomb for 3 days.

So our primary focus as a Christian is to get so we can clearly know the voice of the Holy Spirit in our heart better than any of the other voices.  In the Bible each tread of truth can be woven together to make a fine filter of God’s Word so that the Word of God becomes our Kingdom constitution to keep the junk out and our road map clean to the Celestial City.  So in life as we are guided by the Logos (Scriptures) and with the Rhema (Anointing) so we can stay out of trouble and in the Joy & peace of the LORD and grow into becoming like Jesus.  We have been invited to join in on a pilgrimage of leaving being the children of Adam to becoming the Children of God.  Sounds a lot better to me than the antique collecting of J Paul Getty.  Read The Revelation chapters 21 & 22  What an invitation!!!!

Be in prayer for us, YWAM closed down due to Covin-19 and sent everyone home.   But one young man Jonathan from Southern India got stranded so we took him in.  Last week he came down with a very bad sore throat so we took him in for the test, know tomorrow or Friday.  If positive all 5 of us would be totally quarantined for 2 weeks.   And for 3 of us it could be critical.

SOWING & REAPING,   “WORTH CONSIDERING”   4/7/20,

Today’s Scripture             (In my mailbox this morning and a good reminder from Texas.)
“…When Isaac planted his crops that year, he harvested a hundred times more grain than he planted, for the LORD blessed him…”  (Genesis 26:12, NLT)

Amaze the Critics
During a great famine in the land, Isaac was about to move to Egypt, but God said, “Stay where you are. My favor is on you right here among the Philistines.” So despite the famine, Isaac planted his grain fields. The Philistines were already jealous of him, and his planting in dry, hard soil added to their ridicule of him. But Isaac stayed in peace. Several months later, his critics were amazed to see his hundredfold harvest.

At some point, you may be tempted to run from a situation where you face ridicule and opposition, but you do not have to leave in order to be blessed. God wants to bless you right where you are. Part of His vindication is promoting you so the opposition can see it. Your attitude should be: “They may be laughing now, but this challenge is preparing the way for God to bless me!” God is faithful.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for the promise to bless me right where I am, even when I face opposition and ridicule. I believe that You will multiply me even in the midst of famine. I receive Your peace and rest knowing that You are faithful and will bring blessing. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Thoughts:
And this is true of what ever you plant physically or emotionally or spiritually.  Sowing and Reaping is a universal cosmic law of God’s Universe.  So if you are under God’s blessing what ever good you plant will bring a good harvest.
So we should plant out of our needs, not our abundance.     Paul shared it this way: Romans 8: 8-14 AMP

So then those who are living the life of the flesh [catering to the appetites and impulses of their carnal nature] cannot please or satisfy God, or be acceptable to Him.  9 But you are not living the life of the flesh, you are living the life of the Spirit, if the [Holy] Spirit of God [really] dwells within you [directs and controls you]. But if anyone does not possess the [Holy] Spirit of Christ, he is none of His [he does not belong to Christ, is not truly a child of God].  10 But if Christ lives in you, [then although] your [natural] body is dead by reason of sin and guilt, the spirit is alive because of [the] righteousness [that He imputes to you].  11 And if the Spirit of Him Who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, [then] He Who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also restore to life your mortal (short-lived, perishable) bodies through His Spirit Who dwells in you.  12 So then, brethren, we are debtors, but not to the flesh [we are not obligated to our carnal nature], to live [a life ruled by the standards set up by the dictates] of the flesh.  13 For if you live according to [the dictates of] the flesh, you will surely die. But if through the power of the [Holy] Spirit you are [habitually] putting to death (making extinct, deadening) the [evil] deeds prompted by the body, you shall [really and genuinely] live forever.  14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

“They who sow in tears shall reap in joy and singing.  6 He who goes forth bearing seed and weeping [at needing his precious supply of grain for sowing] shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.”  Psalms 126:5-6

“These six things the Lord hates, indeed, seven are an abomination to Him:  17 A proud look [the spirit that makes one overestimate himself and underestimate others], a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,  18 A heart that manufactures wicked thoughts and plans, feet that are swift in running to evil,  19 A false witness who breathes out lies [even under oath], and he who sows discord among his brethren.  20 My son, keep your father’s [God-given] commandment and forsake not the law of [God] your mother [taught you].’  Proverbs 6A:16-20

“For as [surely as] the earth brings forth its shoots, and as a garden causes what is sown in it to spring forth, so [surely] the Lord God will cause rightness and justice and praise to spring forth before all the nations [through the self-fulfilling power of His word].”  Isa. 61:11

“I will hiss for them [as the keeper does for his bees] and gather them in, for I have redeemed them, and they shall increase [again] as they have increased [before, in Egypt].  9 And though I sow them among the nations, yet they shall [earnestly] remember Me in far countries, and with their children they shall live and shall return [to God and the land He gave them].  10 I will bring them [all Israel] home again from the land of Egypt and gather them out of Assyria, and I will bring them into the land [on the east and on the west of the Jordan, into] Gilead and Lebanon, and room enough shall not be found for them.”  (Israel) Zechariah 10:8-10

According to a recent survey, 43.4% of American adults believe the coronavirus crisis is a wake-up call for the US to return to God. Nearly three-in-ten respondents (29.4%) said they think the outbreak and subsequent financial devastation are signs of the Biblical “Last Days.” The poll was conducted for the Joshua Fund (JF), a major             US Christian charity.Christians across America drove to hospitals last week to pray for medical staff and coronavirus patients. States involved in the “park and pray” initiative included Mississippi, Tennessee, Georgia, Louisiana, and Florida. Those who attended the prayer gatherings were instructed to practice social distancing so as not to risk spreading the virus.      Iran has released a Christian woman who was jailed after refusing to reconvert to Islam, activists confirmed to Worthy News. Rokhsareh (Mahrokh) Ghanbari, 62, is among some 85,000 prisoners freed in recent weeks amid concerns about the spread of the new coronavirus COVID-19.      In an amendment to his March 19 executive order on limiting the spread of coronavirus, the Governor of Texas has decreed that attending “religious services conducted in churches, congregations, and houses of worship” is as important as shopping for food or going to medical appointments. FREEWILL,    “WORTH CONSIDERING”
  4/6/20   from Ken<><

Today’s Scripture  (1 Peter 2:9, NIV)    (Found in my email this morning.)
“…But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”

Be Uncommon
We are living in a day where it’s acceptable to compromise standards, to take the easy way out and not have integrity, to do what everybody else is doing, to go where everybody else goes, to think like everyone else thinks. It’s common. Complainers and compromisers are a dime a dozen. It’s normal. But God did not create you to be common.

God is looking for uncommon people. People who have uncommon faith, who believe for things that seem impossible. People who have uncommon commitment, who do the right thing when it’s hard. People who have an uncommon attitude that’s positive when everyone else is negative. People who have uncommon integrity, who do not give in to temptation but do what they know is best. When you make this decision to not fit in, to not do what everyone else is doing, but to be uncommon, you will see uncommon favor, uncommon strength, uncommon friendships, uncommon increase. God rewards uncommon.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for setting me apart to be Your special possession, to be one of Your chosen ones, to be uncommon. Thank You that I don’t have to let society squeeze me into its mold. I want my life to stand out as one who brings You praise. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Thoughts,
Great word today, each one of us is uniquely designed with gifts for a creative purpose in the foreknowledge and predestination of God.  All that is needed is for us to set our freewill in humility and obedience in wanting to hear HIS voice and learn how to become obedient.  As the children of Adam we were born spiritually dead and we can also choose to remain dead in sins and trespasses if we want to.  To change from being a child of Adam to being a child of God is a life long decision but the sooner we make that decision the more time we can have to help others find their way as well.  There is an open door that our loving Creator has set before us to explore HIS Kingdom and how real faith in love works.  To learn to love as God loves requires absolute freewill as love is always a choice.  Therefore even our salvation is an eternal choice for us.  The choice to either live in the light with God or the darkness without God.

And remember, fear is faith going backwards so don’t get caught up in the virus fear all around us.  Be careful and wise but not fearful.  God has not given us the spirit of fear but of power, love and a calm, well balanced and disciplined mind.  2 Tim. 1:7…  AMP

CHURCH

ALOHA FAMILY & FRIENDS

CHURCH,    “WORTH CONSIDERING”    4/5/20
In one week comes the day on which we,  as Christians,  usually celebrate the resurrection of Christ Jesus,  Man made God,  day.  And the day to remind us that in Christ Jesus our sins are forgiven and our sinful past is forgotten.  But then there is this little bitty bug that is keeping us from getting together due to a death threat especially for the old guys like me.

But then the Holy Spirit asked me to write this note to you and remind you that church was not about big gatherings.  The word Church really mean:  Latin ecclesia, from Greek ekklesia, where the word is a compound of two segments: “ek”, a preposition meaning “out of”, and a verb, “kaleo”, signifying “to call” – together, literally, “to call out”. Although that usage soon passed away and was replaced with “assembly, congregation, council”, or “convocation”.

So originally, in the Greek, the word Church meant to be called out of.    In the Early Church it meant to be called out of the world or the Worlds system of Adam as fallen and cursed of God.  Called out of the world of the dead and fallen ones.  Church was to be a place to learn how to live in the Kingdom of God in righteousness and numbers were totally unimportant.   In fact,  Christ Jesus teaches us in Matt.18:20 that HIS Church can easily consist of 2 or 3….”Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be[a] bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be[b] loosed in heaven.  19 “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”

So actually, if you can find one other person to join with you,  you can go to church.  And really the word Church relates to a relationship with Jesus and not with a building or a denomination.  The Word Church really has to do with there being but one universal church with many small gatherings as noted being in a place as in Rom.16:1, 1 Cor.1:2, 1 Cor.16:19.  And the early Church was located in a home or house.  If it outgrew the house then another house church would be created.  Offerings were then used for evangelism and to help the poor.  So the Churches of The Church were noted usually as the Church being at a place or in someone’s home.  It was never used to note a building.

OK so the place nor do the numbers mean anything.  So what form of did the gathering take and when?   Usually the Early Church gathered on Saturday evenings at sunset.  It was the only real time of freedom that the Jewish folks had at that time.  And there was total freedom in going from house to house for the ‘Lords” supper, Acts 2:46

SO WHEN THEY CAME TOGETHER, WHAT DID THEY DO?

It is very interesting to me that Acts clealy sets out the order of service for the Early Church. Acts 2:41-44 “Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.  42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.  43 And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.  44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common;

This is an overlay for the Tabernacle of Moses in the wilderness.
1.    Testimony of Jesus in Salvation, THE DOOR.
2.    The Word of God, The place of sacrificek, THE ALTER,
3.     The fellowship love feast, Agape Meal, THE LAVER.
4.     Breaking of Bread, Lord’s Supper, THE SHOW BREAD
5.     Time of Prayer and Healing, THE INCENSE BURNER.

For a better understanding of the Early Church gathering for a “House Church” please take time to consider the link in a chapter of my book, “Key To The Kingdom.”   https://trinity-aloha.org/keys-to-the-kingdom/house-church/

I am not sure that the Early Church covered all 7 steps each week but it certainly seems that they mostly followed this pattern in their gathering.  And it was very effective in gaining new converts.  Demos of the FGBMFI followed this pattern and it was very effective in that ministry in the revival of the 1960-70.  Also you will perhaps find other chapters of interest in my book as well.   It is all available on the Internet.

So take some time today and reconsider “CHURCH” as in the original concept.  You might even gather your family together for exploring the concept of “House Church” or Church in the HOME.  Perhaps the virus will even help us to recover a closer walk with our Lord, Christ Jesus.

Paul writes about The Early Church liturgy in 1 Cor.14:23-32 and teaches this:
Therefore, if the whole church assembles and all of you speak in [unknown] tongues, and the ungifted and uninitiated or unbelievers come in, will they not say that you are demented?  24 But if all prophesy [giving inspired testimony and interpreting the divine will and purpose] and an unbeliever or untaught outsider comes in, he is told of his sin and reproved and convicted and convinced by all, and his defects and needs are examined (estimated, determined) and he is called to account by all,  25 The secrets of his heart are laid bare; and so, falling on [his] face, he will worship God, declaring that God is among you in very truth.  26 What then, brethren, is [the right course]? When you meet together, each one has a hymn, a teaching, a disclosure of special knowledge or information, an utterance in a [strange] tongue, or an interpretation of it. [But] let everything be constructive and edifying and for the good of all.  27 If some speak in a [strange] tongue, let the number be limited to two or at the most three, and each one [taking his] turn, and let one interpret and explain [what is said].  28 But if there is no one to do the interpreting, let each of them keep still in church and talk to himself and to God.  29 So let two or three prophets speak [those inspired to preach or teach], while the rest pay attention and weigh and discern what is said.  30 But if an inspired revelation comes to another who is sitting by, then let the first one be silent.  31 For in this way you can give testimony [prophesying and thus interpreting the divine will and purpose] one by one, so that all may be instructed and all may be stimulated and encouraged;  32 For the spirits of the prophets (the speakers in tongues) are under the speaker’s control [and subject to being silenced as may be necessary],

LOVE/HATE,   “WORTH CONSIDERING”   4/3/20     Ken Smith,   www.Trinity-Aloha.org

Today’s Scripture     (In my emails this morning.)
“…Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.”  (Luke 6:27–28, NIV)

Why Bless Those Who Hurt You?
It’s easy to be good to people who are good to us. But what about when someone does something deliberately to hurt you? It’s easy to get bitter, hold a grudge, talk bad about them, and think about how you can get even with them.

Why would Jesus say that we should bless and do good to those who hurt us when they don’t deserve it? Because you’re not blessing them for their sake, but for your sake. The mercy and kindness you show others is the mercy God’s going to show you. If you’re bitter and angry, you’ll get stuck. Life is too short to go through it with bitterness poisoning your life. If you’ll let go of the hurt they inflicted and live out of a place of forgiveness, out of a place of wholeness, you’ll not only feel better, but that’s what allows the Creator of the universe to go to work and take you higher.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for all the mercy and forgiveness and protection You have shown me when I’ve done wrong. Help me to do good and bless those who have done me wrong. I am leaving them in Your hands and believing that You are taking me to new levels. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Thoughts,
This is a tough idea to go with.  In our Adamic nature, our thoughts, are eye for eye and tooth for tooth.   And of course the end of that concept is that no one can see or eat.  Action and reaction.  One time I had the opportunity to meet and talk with Pat Morita who played Miyagi in The Karate Kid and especially I remember his humility.  One of the favorite lines I remember was “No be there” concerning dealing with aggression.  Basically that is what happens to us as a Christian when we are more concerned about the souls of others and bringing them to Christ than we are about our selves.   By faith, real faith, we begin the transition of really living in HIS KINGDOM of righteousness while we are still living in this temporary body.

Jesus was being nailed to the Cross and was more concerned about the souls of those driving the spikes into HIS feet that HE was about the pain that I am sure was intense.   He was hanging and dying on the cross and HE was more concerned that John take the responsibility for HIS mother.   And in HIS suffering he even was gracious in providing the way of salvation to a thief beside HIM.  Obviously HE, by faith, was already in a totally different world.  HIS seven last words were profound.   And from HIS birth through HIS life and death HE became our example.   He came to give us the example of how to live in the Spirit under all circumstances and conditions.   For the scriptures tell us that though being the Son of Man he was able, through the Spirit, to have a complete victory over sin.  And HE also gives us an example that we too, in following HIS example, can learn how to have absolute victory over sin as HE did.  That HE has set us free in HIM and given us the Holy Spirit to give us the same power that HE did if we will make room for HIM.  That means a total house cleaning from the darkness and to invite the Holy Spirit to fill every cell of our body as well as the thoughts of our mind and heart.

John, the apostle closest to Christ Jesus had this to say about it:
“And this is the message [the message of [g] promise] which we have heard from Him and now are reporting to you: God is Light, and there is no darkness in Him at all [[h] no, not in any way].  6 [So] if we say we are partakers together and enjoy fellowship with Him when we live and move and are walking about in darkness, we are [both] speaking falsely and do not live and practice the Truth [which the Gospel presents].  7 But if we [really] are living and walking in the Light, as He [Himself] is in the Light, we have [true, unbroken] fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses (removes) us from all sin and guilt [keeps us cleansed from sin in all its forms and manifestations].  8 If we say we have no sin [refusing to admit that we are sinners], we delude and lead ourselves astray, and the Truth [which the Gospel presents] is not in us [does not dwell in our hearts].  9 If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just (true to His own nature and promises) and will forgive our sins [dismiss our lawlessness] and [continuously] cleanse us from all unrighteousness [everything not in conformity to His will in purpose, thought, and action].  10 If we say (claim) we have not sinned, we contradict His Word and make Him out to be false and a liar, and His Word is not in us [the divine message of the Gospel is not in our hearts].  1John1:6-9….  And everyone who has this hope [resting] on Him cleanses (purifies) himself just as He is pure (chaste, undefiled, guiltless).  4 Everyone who commits (practices) sin is guilty of lawlessness; for [that is what] sin is, lawlessness (the breaking, violating of God’s law by transgression or neglect—being unrestrained and unregulated by His commands and His will).  5 You know that He appeared in visible form and became Man to take away [upon Himself] sins, and in Him there is no sin [[d]essentially and forever].  6 No one who abides in Him [who lives and remains [e]in communion with and in obedience to Him—deliberately, knowingly, and [f]habitually] commits (practices) sin. No one who [habitually] sins has either seen or known Him [recognized, perceived, or understood Him, or has had an experiential acquaintance with Him].  7 [g] Boys (lads), let no one deceive and lead you astray. He who practices righteousness [who is upright, conforming to the divine will in purpose, thought, and action, living a consistently conscientious life] is righteous, even as He is righteous.  8 [But] he who commits sin [who practices evildoing] is of the devil [takes his character from the evil one], for the devil has sinned (violated the divine law) from the beginning. The reason the Son of God was made manifest (visible) was to undo (destroy, loosen, and dissolve) the works the devil [has done].  9 No one born (begotten) of God [deliberately, knowingly, and [h]habitually] practices sin, for God’s nature abides in him [His principle of life, the divine sperm, remains permanently within him]; and he cannot practice sinning because he is born (begotten) of God.  10 By this it is made clear who take their nature from God and are His children and who take their nature from the devil and are his children: no one who does not practice righteousness [who does not conform to God’s will in purpose, thought, and action] is of God; neither is anyone who does not love his brother (his fellow [I] believer in Christ).  1 John 3:3-   AMP
