Hi ken
Many years ago, when I was just beginning to write about spiritual things, i wrote this. I hope you can use it…

By Christian Scott Berg

INTRODUCTION

As I have studied the Bible over the years, it has been impressed on my heart that:

  • The meaning and design behind creation is the Bride of Christ.
  • The economy of God’s creation is love and companionship.

Inspired by these truths, the Holy Spirit guided me in writing the following commentary. It is my hope that my thoughts will excite your spirit into a greater relationship of love with Jesus our Betrothed. Marriage is the central theme throughout scripture. The history of humanity begins and ends with a wedding, beginning with the marriage of Adam and Eve (Gen. 2;18-24) and ending with the marriage of The Lamb (Jesus) to His bride (Rev. 19:7-9).

God created humanity in His own image. God said, “Let us make man in our image, like us.” (Gen. 1:26) We have the same spiritual DNA as God The Creator of all that is. The angels and other spiritual beings do not possess God’s DNA, only humanity. God in all of His glory desires a loving companion, a relationship, only with redeemed humanity. “for your Maker is your husband.” (Isa. 54:5) This thought is so awesome and overwhelming the finite mind can scarcely comprehend it.

This life and the meaning of it are to prepare us to be The Bride of Christ. We must begin to establish a relationship with our Husband to be. If He does not know us, He will not marry us. Remember the Parable of The Ten Virgins? Five of them were not prepared and were not allowed into the wedding. The reason given by the Lord for them not being allowed into the wedding was that, He did not know them. Though we are not the bride now, we are His fiancée. Paul says, “I betroth you to Christ as a pure virgin.” (2 Cor. 11:2). And Isaiah 62:5 says, ” For as a young man takes a virgin for his wife, so will your maker be married to you: and as a husband has joy in his bride, so will the Lord your God be glad over you”. John the Baptist said this, “The bride belongs to the bridegroom. The friend who attends the bridegroom waits and listens for him, and is full of joy when he hears the bridegroom’s voice. That joy is mine, and it is now complete”. (John 3:29).

You have been chosen by the creator of the universe to be His bride. This should give you all the self worth and affirmation you will ever need in life. All of creation, every star in the sky, every raindrop, is for you. Every problem and blessing in life is for your benefit. It is all part of God’s plan to prepare you to become His Bride, to co-reign with Christ. God decided before the worlds were ever formed to have a companion that would love Him. How would He choose this companion, this bride and where would she come from? She could not be an angel for angels are not of His kind. God desired a bride that could offer Him the one thing He could not produce from His own will. A bride that could freely choose to love or reject Him.

She would have the ability to give and receive love as well as the ability to deny and reject love. It would not be a true loving relationship if there were no choice. His bride would choose to love Him even when circumstances made it easier to deny loving Him. She would trust Him even though the world would proclaim He does not exist, He is dead and cannot love. She would love Him even though, she would be persecuted and martyred for it. She would proclaim her love for Him from the rooftops and encourage others to join her in her love. Where could such a bride be found and how could she have developed such trust such love for a God she has not seen?

The Holy Trinity is in agreement to share the Holy Realm itself with the Bride of Christ. Luke 12:32 states, “Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.” And Romans 8:17 says, “Now if we are children, then we are heirs — heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.” Second timothy 2:11-12 says, “here is a trustworthy saying: If we died with him, we will also live with him; if we endure, we will also reign with him.”

I DO NOT KNOW WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS
WILL MY PRAYERS BE ANSWERED, THE WAY I WANT?
WHY BAD THINGS HAPPEN TO GOOD PEOPLE?
BUT I DO KNOW THAT GOD LOVES ME 100%
AND I CAN TRUST IN THAT
100%

MY STORY

I have been a Christian for many years and have always known that God loves me. I have to admit that my walk has not always been a perfect one as my love for Him did wax and wane. Though I knew of His great love…Jesus’ sacrifice for me…it was all intellectual. My experience was similar to watching a romantic love story at the movies, rather than actually being in a romantic loving relationship.

I guess the underlying reason for my distance was that I knew who I was and what I had done in my life. I knew my faults well. I had made commitments to God and broken them. Knowing all of this about myself, plus realizing how great and powerful my Creator was, begged the question, “How can God love me?”

The answer to this question and the revelation knowledge of the Bride of Christ came in an instant, a single unforgettable moment. That moment became the defining point of my life. Just as Christ’s birth split time itself in two…BC and AD…so has my life been split into before and after

MY REVELATION

I was in love with a beautiful lady whom I hoped to marry. It was late at night and I had just finished reading the Song of Solomon. I asked the Lord to show me the meaning of the Song and I fell asleep. In the middle of the night, I awoke and felt the need to pray these words, “Jesus, I love her so much.” I closed my eyes and I had a vision of her that brought a smile to my face. “Jesus, show me how to love her, I want to take care of her and comfort her.”

At that very moment, the spirit of God fell on me and in an audible voice I heard these words, “Scott, you mean you want to love her the same way I love you? Scott, the feelings that you have for her are the same feelings that I have for you. Scott, I have a vision of you before me all of the time and it brings me joy and a smile to my face. Scott, I have a love affair with every man and woman’s, every boy and girl’s spirit on earth. But they do not know it. I am at the door of their heart wanting to come into them and love them. But they will not let me. There is nothing that hurts me more than the rejection of my love. Scott, I cry over them because they will not let me love them. Scott, tell them of my love.”

The revelation ended, but still being bathed in His Spirit, I realized that God, my Creator is in love with me and He is emotionally involved with me. I must have felt as the prophet Daniel did when, “one having the form of a man put his hand on me and gave me strength. And he said to me, O man greatly loved, have no fear: peace be with you, be strong and let your heart be lifted up. And at his words I became strong…” (Dan. 10:18-19)

LIVING OUT MY REVELATION

The love Jesus has for me is no longer intellectual but emotional. I no longer see God as a distant force but as the one and only true lover of my soul.

God’s love is of a romantic nature in the purest of interpretations. Romance has inspired the most beautiful works of art and literature. It is the most sought after feeling on the planet. Most advertisements use promises of romance to sell products. Of course, this is a counterfeit and a very poor substitute, for the romance that Jesus offers the heart. Jesus will never leave you or forsake you. He will not divorce you for He is committed to you in this life and the next. Jesus will tell your heart all of the things it has always wanted to hear. All of the hurts and pains inflicted by people will be erased by His love. You will know beyond the shadow of a doubt that His love is for real and will always satisfy your heart. Jesus will make your life satisfyingly complete.

We possess God’s Spiritual DNA. His emotions. His desires. Even His “hurts”. The emotions and love I have for my beloved bride, is the same that God has for me and for you. In times past. my heart had been broken by love betrayed. The rejection I felt hurt more than any physical pain I had ever known. Jesus also knows that pain of rejection and of betrayal.

GOD CREATED MAN IN HIS IMAGE
THAT MEANS HIS EMOTIONAL IMAGE TOO

We can all understand the feelings and emotions of romance because we experience them as a part of life. We can also identify with rejection when our overture of love is spurned. The reason we understand and identify with all of these emotions is because they are a part of the spiritual DNA that God has created us with.

Jesus is at the door of everyone’s heart knocking and saying, “Let me in. I want to love you and take care of you. I want to marry you”. And when we open our heart to Him, He is as delighted as a man who has proposed marriage to his beloved sweetheart, and hears her whisper, “Yes”. If our heart remains closed and there is no answer to Jesus’ words of love, His heart is devastated by the pain of rejection. However, His love continues until the last knock, the last heartbeat, and the last breath.

At this point, I need state that we cannot always trust our emotions. They have been corrupted by Satan, the curse, and the evil desires of man. The Godly emotions which have been given to us, and meant for good; Satan has counterfeited and means for evil. We must weigh our emotions and feelings against God’s Word, The Bible.

God does not fear, have lust, or pride but rather faith, hope, and love. When God’s love is rejected, He does not respond with anger but with more love. He is, however, a jealous God and we should place no other gods or things or persons before Him in our lives (see Exodus 20:3-5). If we do place anything before God, He considers us as adulterers and fornicators (this is cited dozens of times throughout the Old Testament) breaking the fidelity of our relationship with Him. These emotions give us a glimpse into the heart of God and how He feels about us. This is so important for us to understand, THAT WE FEEL WHAT GOD FEELS!

God is right at the door of every heart. He is in pain, for He is being rejected by people who He loves…everyday. He is hurt deeply by His church in not trusting in Him. He is being hurt by the bride not longing to be more intimate with him.

WE LOVE GOD BY BEING WITH HIM IN PRAYER
AND SHARING OUR LIVES WITH HIM THERE

A couple in love enjoys spending time talking and listening to each other. The most important part of the day, is the time they spend with each other. They are both thinking of ways to express their love to one another; be it through gifts or love notes. The intent is to express their love and this is the romantic nature of God’s own heart. Jesus wants to hear from you personally, not some stand in. How can Jesus marry you if He does not know you?

The Bride of Christ realizes that she can break Gods heart by not giving Him the love He deserves. Just as a mortal husband and wife must communicate with loving words of affection, so must we communicate with Jesus our divine husband. My wife and I share each other’s lives. She knows what issues are troubling me, what challenges I will be facing each day, what blessings have occurred and the nature of my plans and desires. I also know what is happening in her life. We discuss the details of our lives. Thus, should we not do the same with our beloved Jesus? He desires this type of intimate relationship with us. He desires to be a part of our lives in every way.

I love my wife and I want to please and bless her. I do not want to do anything that would hurt her. I want to give her gifts and acknowledge all of the wonderful things she does for me. Should I not do the same for my Jesus?

I CAN GIVE JESUS GIFTS OF PRAISE AND WORSHIP

I guarantee you that when you start treating Jesus as a beloved spouse, He will open up His life to you. You control how much of Jesus you want in your life by how much you allow Him in. You also control how much of your spouse’s life you share, by how much you let them in to your life. You are in control of your spiritual marriage as well as your physical marriage.

I suggest to you that if your earthly marriage is not what it should be, your spiritual marriage may not be either. To improve your earthly marriage, begin to see your spouse as Christ…your other marriage partner…and try to treat them both the same. If you would not be critical or complaining of Jesus, extend the same courtesy to your spouse. If you would not think of being abusive or cruel to Jesus, transfer that respect to your mortal spouse.

Our earthly marriage is on the job training for the heavenly marriage that awaits us. Consider Jesus as the third partner in your marriage. If you are single, consider yourself being married to Jesus and live your life that way. The most important thing to remember is, Jesus is madly in love with you and there is nothing you can do about it. <><

I hope the above has served to introduce you to the topic of the Bride of Christ. More specific themes to this topic will be added in the months ahead. We would love to discuss the Bride of Christ with you on our message board. Please link to it from here.

MARRIAGE & SEX

MARRIAGE & SEX “WORTH CONSIDERING” 9/6/21 Ken Smith<><

Sure prayed a lot before I started on this paper. What a difficult subject to deal with in the light of God with today’s obsessions. So to understand what was the original vision we need to go back in time. Marriage and Sex was obviously one of God’s most wonderful of creations along with the beauty and design of the physical body to help enjoy it. The muscle efficiency or a lobster is much better than ours but are you not more happy with the skin? The human Body expresses a beauty of God that is unique beyond words. Originally making Children was a joyful painless event prior to the rebellion and bad tree experience. On the farm where I grew up reproduction was as natural with the animals around us as breathing. But with Adam’s departure from learning from GOD to learning from lucifer we see big changes in protection, pain and provision. By the way, it was note an apple on the tree of the knowledge of good and evil but simple a fruit. Think of it as a NO! Fruit tree rather than a YES fruit tree as with the rest of the whole Garden. This NO! tree was allowed for the exercise and growth of free will and for the experience of love. True Love, God’s kind of love, can only exist in a state of Free will.

But what I am getting at is that the creation of sex, in the beginning, was a wonderful intimate way of expressing love in a spiritual, mental and physical way in a Life time union. It was a divine glue to hold a husband & wife in a family bonding for a life time. And in that divine union of marriage to be safe from S.T.D’s and having unwanted children who wold be neglected and perhaps lost to the enemy. Of course this is the God ideal position for the experience of sex which is not see very often today. If fact I know of so called Christians living in fornication openly as OK with no plans at all concerning children or home stability..

I ask the LORD one time, long ago as to HIS definition of Marriage. He said to my heart, “ Marriage is a life time commitment of a man and a woman to become one. (This would be much like Adam in his creation prior to Eve of being like the Father, Word and Holy Spirit in a simple form. And then Eve was divided from Adam and took more the nature of the Holy Spirit with her.. And that the life time pledge was to be witnessed openly. In marriage today in Rev.13, Paul writes to also be submitted to the local govt. So in the U.S. that would mean some paper work for a sexual union for the protection of the family and children. Of course I fully realize that most will hit the delete button about now. But if you hang in there I have a lot more from the Holy Spirit to share on this subject.

So lets start with the Old Testament, it seems that the early time in world history sound like much of what is going on today when we consider Noah , Duet. 6:5-7, “The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination and intention of all human thinking was only evil continually. 6 And the Lord regretted that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved at heart. 7 So the Lord said, I will destroy, blot out, and wipe away mankind, whom I have created from the face of the ground. So GOD reduced the population down to Noah and family or 4 couples and started over again with the human race. Now we appear to be returning to the same kind of a civilization in moral values so Jesus is sharing with us, and notice in verse 40 we have an event like the flood of lifting one out but leaving another.

Matt.24:37-42, “ As were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For just as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, [men] marrying and [women] being given in marriage, until the [very] day when Noah went into the ark, 39 And they did not know or understand until the flood came and swept them all away—so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 40 At that time two men will be in the field; one will be taken and one will be left. 41 Two women will be grinding at the hand mill; one will be taken and one will be left. 42 Watch therefore [[t] give strict attention, be cautious and active], for you do not know in what kind of a day [[u] whether a near or remote one] your Lord is coming….

If we consider the lives of them Biblical men we can learn a whole lot about our situation.
Adam Listened to his wife, we died. A woman tends to live by emotions and intuition.
Abraham, Was told to wait for a son. Sarah encouraged, we got Ishmail & (Islam)
Isaac, Did well, waited on Dad to get him a wife and got a good one.
Jacob, He was a rascal but had a lot of faith and basically founded the Jewish nation.
Moses, 40 years learning Egypt, 40 unlearning Egypt, Delivered Israel from slavery.
Samson, Judge in Israel, got clipped by a women, blinded, ground grain, restored in end.
David, Murdered Uriah, slept with his wife, Truly Repented, We got the Psalms.
Solomon, Stupid, wise man. Brought idiolatry into Israel and destroyed his kingdom.
We have a lot to learn from each of the lives of these men to give us wisdom.

It should be understood that there is no New Testament record of women ever being given authority over men in marriage or the Church. Only a Righteous and Holy man can teach another man how to be Righteous and Holy as a man. Men under women tend to remain as children, emotionally. Romans 16:7 has to do with a married couple, Andronicus and Junia who God sees as a married team in the work of the ministry and as one. Eph. 5:31-32.

FIRE

Aloha Saints, Family and Friends, beloved of Jesus and me, John 3:16

FIRE “WORTH CONSIDERING” 9/1/21 By Ken Smith

In the days before Edison, all lights by man on earth was a product of FIRE. Sun, Lightening did start fires. Now we have LED with hardly any heat at all. So fire is an interesting study through the Bible. Both good fire and painful fire, so we shall try to sort out the good fire for you. I grew up on a hillbilly farm with no electricity at all, all our lights were by fire. After it was sold and the new owners put power to the house, it burned down.

When Jesus started HIS ministry on earth HE made an interesting comment about fire. Luke 12:49, “I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled? Matt. 3:11, John the Baptist said, “I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: Luke 3:16, “John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire: The disciples became Christians at the resurrection in the Upper Room, but the fire power came on Pentecost.

And this happened, as a mighty public witness on Pentecost, Acts 2:3, “And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

And it is interesting to me that many years later the writer of Hebrews (Paul I think) added this note. Heb. 1:7, “And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire. There are some 515 verses mentioning fire in the Bible but most are equating the pain of fire with hell. This is not the context of this note. So lets go back in the Old Testament and find the threads. In Deuteronomy 4:24, 33, 5:24 we have this observation that God is a consuming fire, speaks from the midst of fire, and that HIS Glory and Greatness is a voice in the midst of fire. So for us to really know who HE really is, HE had to send the son of man in our image and likeness to help us know HIM and to help us become in HIS image and likeness. Notice in Ezek. 28:18 where the fire is seen as our starting point: God here is giving a prophesy to Ezekiel as to how lucifer will meet his end. “28:18, “Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.

Hey, Guys!!! We all got our start as the children of Adam in sin. We grew up in sin. We have all sinned and come short of the Glory of God. But then comes along Isaiah 53 and tells us how God has made a way for us to still become like Him and in HIS Image and LIkeness, Gen.1:26 if we will want it enough and believe it enough to go for it.

So when Jesus was resurrected what did HE look like in that we are told that HE was the first born of many brethren. Assuming that I have your attention and wonder what you would look like in the resurrection if you really made Jesus LORD. We will always be different but this will give you the idea of what God means for us to be like in HIS Image and Likeness. Rev. 1:23-17, “And in the midst of the lampstands [One] like a Son of Man, clothed with a robe which reached to His feet and with a girdle of gold about His breast.14 His head and His hair were white like white wool, [as white] as snow, and His eyes [flashed] like a flame of fire.15 His feet glowed like burnished (bright) bronze as it is refined in a furnace, and His voice was like the sound of many waters.16 In His right hand He held seven stars, and from His mouth there came forth a sharp two-edged sword, and His face was like the sun shining in full power at midday.17 When I saw Him, I fell at His feet as if dead. But He laid His right hand on me and said, Do not be afraid! I am the First and the Last.” ( So as we yield to become in HIM we will become like HIM.)

In the resurrection there will be only one Jesus, that looks like HIM in the image of the “Word of GOD” But we also will carry GOD’S identity and in our own personal identity as Joint Heirs for our LORD become HIS “Rod of Iron” to help minister HIS rule throughout the Creation of God through the universe in the God dimension of time-less-ness.

Oh! think we are the only ones alive in God’s Creation, think again. Only that we have been in a spiritual hot house as there is only one lucifer who has either made us strong or sent us to hell as per our decision. John 14:1-3, “Do not let your hearts be troubled (distressed, agitated). You believe in and adhere to and trust in and rely on God; believe in and adhere to and trust in and rely also on Me.2 In My Father’s house there are many dwelling places (homes). If it were not so, I would have told you; for I am going away to prepare a place for you.3 And when (if) I go and make ready a place for you, I will come back again and will take you to Myself, that where I am you may be also.

Interested in being on fire? Paul ask that question to disciples in Acts 19:2 long ago in Ephesus, “And he asked them, Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed [on Jesus as the Christ]? And they said, No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.3 And he asked, Into what [baptism] then were you baptized? They said, Into John’s baptism.4 And Paul said, John baptized with the baptism of repentance, continually telling the people that they should believe in the One Who was to come after him, that is, in Jesus [having a conviction full of joyful trust that He is Christ, the Messiah, and being obedient to Him].5 On hearing this they were baptized [again, this time] in the name of the Lord Jesus.6 And as Paul laid his hands upon them, the Holy Spirit came on them; and they spoke in [foreign, unknown] tongues (languages) and prophesied.” (Same as on Pentecost.) This should be norm for the Church of Christ Jesus and I hope so for your church, but if not, read 2 Tim.3… A man at my fellowship ask me one day about this, and I felt to give him a book: “A Handbook on Holy Spirit Baptism” by Don Basham. He went home, read the book, did what it said and has been on fire for the LORD from that time on. Find on Amazon, get a copy, “WORTH CONSIDERING” you will be glad you did.

Be blessed in your day, Ken<>< www.trinity-aloha.org

INTERNET & TRUTH “Worth Considering” 8/26/21 By Ken Smith <><

The Internet can be either good or bad as per the person sitting at the computer. punch 2 or 3 keys and into Worship & Praise of God or watch harm, pain, danger and death to other human beings. So many ways to destroy God’s epitome of HIS creation, man. It is like any thing else you become what you eat. Same with the soul, it can be blessed or corrupted by what you feed it and the world is a very messy place. In fact the Word of God warns us in 1 John 2:14-17: “ Do not love the world [of sin that opposes God and His precepts], nor the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world—the lust and sensual craving of the flesh and the lust and longing of the eyes and the boastful pride of life [pretentious confidence in one’s resources or in the stability of earthly things]—these do not come from the Father, but are from the world. 17 The world is passing away, and with it its lusts [the shameful pursuits and ungodly longings]; but the one who does the will of God and carries out His purposes lives forever., And as I was telling someone on the phone today, A real New Testament Church is also a messy place in the Holy Spirit. In the Early Church there was no liturgy, only the Holy Spirit, 1 Cor.14:26-31: “ What then is the right course, believers? When you meet together, each one has a psalm, a teaching, a revelation (disclosure of special knowledge), a tongue, or an interpretation. Let everything be constructive and edifying and done for the good of all the church. 27 If anyone speaks in a tongue, it should be limited to two or at the most three, and each one speaking in turn, and one must interpret [what is said]. 28 But if there is no one to interpret, the one [who wishes to speak in a tongue] must keep silent in church; let him speak to himself and to God. 29 Let two or three prophets speak [as inspired by the Holy Spirit], while the rest pay attention and weigh carefully what is said. 30 But if an inspired revelation is made to another who is seated, then the first one must be silent. 31 For [in this way] you can all prophesy one by one, so that everyone may be instructed and everyone may be encouraged; 32 for the spirits of prophets are subject to the prophets [the prophecy is under the speaker’s control, and he can stop speaking]; 33 for God [who is the source of their prophesying] is not a God of confusion and disorder but of peace and order.” And as the Holy Spirit would guide so would the Elders and leaders follow. Actually church was supposed to be more like pop corn on a hot grill, as church was heated up in the Holy Spirit it would pop open and become a new form and you really never knew where it was going to land. In the Bible we find the words, “If any person be found in Christ, they are a new creation. Old things are passing away and all things are becoming new. That the birthing into the Kingdom of God a new soul already had a calling and gifting to accomplish what our loving Creator designed them to be and do. But the normal tendency is to box them up in a little box so they can not embarrass any one nor do anything stupid. And of course when the hormone storms go off at puberty, many are lost to the world due to the lack of truth and valid knowledge.

DREAM of UNHARVESTED FIELDS by Cathy Asher
We have been too long inside the four walls and in our own little groups. Many are dying and not finding out about salvation and the love of Jesus and how He died for us… I will share briefly a vision the Lord gave me several weeks ago. It started with me seeing a vision of a very tall man in overalls and he was a farmer. I asked him who he was and he stated he was the planter of the Word. I have to admit at first it frightened me and I prayed and said, Lord if this is not of you, make it go away. When I opened my eyes, he was still there and he was smiling at me. I asked him again who he was and he replied, I am the Planter of the Word. I asked him what did he want and he stated that He was preparing the Bride for the harvest. I started to ask him more, but he was gone. I prayed for several days about this and then I knew there was more so I asked Holy Spirit to let me know what it meant. That night I dreamed the following dream. I was in a church service and in the dream the Lord came to me and said, come here I want to show you something. It was as if I were zoomed away and he then told me to look down. I looked down and there was a wheat field and it was all bent over and as I looked I saw that the stems were mildewed I asked the Lord, what is this. He stated, there were not enough laborers for the harvest. I felt so sad and began to cry. He then showed me another field. In this field, the wheat was about 12 inches tall but there were lots of sticker weeds in it. I asked the Lord what is this. He stated this is the fruits of not having enough laborers in the first field. I was really devastated by then. He then said, come here and look. I looked down and there was the Planter of the Word and He was plowing and planting seeds. I asked the Lord, what are you showing me? He stated to me that He was planting a field and in this field He was planting seed for His Bride. Never again, would there be a field like the first one, for His Bride could be trusted. He was preparing Her even now for the great harvest to come. I felt a sense of excitement. When I woke up, I prayed and asked our Lord to forgive me and not ever let me be one who was not ready for the harvest.

Tehran is two months away from nuclear weapons capacity, warned Defense Minister Benny Gantz as he called for the international community to create a new prevention plan that did not involve reviving the 2015 Iran deal. Israel’s military is working hard to develop plans to strike Iran’s nuclear facilities, the IDF Chief of Staff revealed on Wednesday, as Israel’s Prime Minister Naftali Bennett made his way to Washington to discuss the Islamic Republic’s nuclear capabilities with U.S. President Joe Biden. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin on Wednesday ordered all U.S. service members be vaccinated immediately for COVID-19. China’s communist authorities have jailed four Christian businessmen for selling audio Bibles amid a government crackdown on Christians engaged in “illegal” faith-related activities, trial observers told Worthy News. The heavily persecuted house church Early Rain Covenant Church (ERCC) in Chengdu, China was raided by government authorities again on August 22, and 28 members were taken away during a worship service, International Christian Concern (ICC) reports. Following the takeover of Afghanistan by the Taliban on August 15, Afghan Christians began fleeing to the mountains to escape the Islamist rulers, who reportedly have a hit-list of believers to kill and who are going door-to-door taking women and children, Fair Mission (FAI) reported. It’s the 800-pound gorilla in the pandemic. The debate over forced vaccination with an ever-waning vaccine is cresting right around the time when the debate should be moot for a lot of people. Among the most fraudulent messages of the CDC’s campaign of deceit is to force the vaccine on those with prior infection, who have a greater degree of protection against all versions of the virus than those with any of the vaccines. It’s time to set the record straight once and for all that natural immunity to SARS-CoV-2 is broader, more durable, and longer-lasting than any of the shots on the market today.

MARRIAGE & DIVORCE 2 “WORTH CONSIDERING” 8/23/21 From Ken Smith<><

Most people get married believing a myth that marriage is a beautiful box full of all the things they have longed for; Companionship, intimacy, friendship etc… The truth is that marriage at the start, is an empty box – you must put something in before you can take anything out. There is no love in marriage, love is in people, and people put love in marriage. There is no romance in marriage, you have to infuse it into your marriage. A couple must learn the art, and form the habit of giving, loving, serving, praising, of keeping the box full. If you take out more than you put in, the box will be empty. Unknown

I hope you gave the last notes on marriage some attention as to what a Biblical Marriage is supposed to be from the Bible. I have observed that a lot of so-called Biblical scholars who write many books that women tend to read, to me, have seemed to move the markers. Before I became a Christian in 1955 I had a wonderful “Cosmic Glue Theology” what was totally reasonable. Unfortunately it was totally a fantasy that I was living and It reminds me of a scripture that not only refers to men but to women as well: 2 Tim. 3, Whole chapter but (4-7) especially. Of course the core truth of a Christian Marriage is found in Eph. 5:23-25. “23 For the husband is head of the wife as Christ is the Head of the church, Himself the Savior of [His] body. 24 As the church is subject to Christ, so let wives also be subject in everything to their husbands. (Jesus always primary.) 25 Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her,” Don’t believe it then ALSO read 1 Pet.3, whole chapter. As of this time according to Pew Research, those who are identified as Christian are having 51% of the present divorces in the U. S. And it is no wonder as the so call churches today are teaching very little concerning humility, authority and loving obedience. And really the Whole Church of Christ Jesus deeply needs that schooling from the top down. Obey alone has 114 verses in the Bible including Heb.13:17 on which few have heard anyone preach upon except in the flesh for self elevation. Or 1 Samuel 15:22. Concerning divorce, it is not an unpardonable sin but it does destroy families and damage children without parents roll modeling godly lives. And they have a tough time growing up to be holy people if saved at all. My parents divorced long before the paper work was done in the court when I graduated high school. It was a supernatural event that I was even saved at 22. So there are three Biblical marriage breakers, death, Matt.22:30, adultery Matt.5:32 & abandonment 1 Cor.6:15. But the only sin that can not be forgiven is to call the darkness light and the light darkness. Divorce is not an unpardonable sin. It does have sowing and reaping attached with pain as does everything we do that is sin. But Jesus came to forgive, cleanse and heal us from our sin. I have known of good men of God that were divorced, did not seem to be at fault and yet were benched for the rest of their lives by their church and not the Lord… I have also seen pastor’s dump their wives for another lady in their church, cause a lot of pain for everyone. But as the smoke cleared they went back to preaching again. I am sure that the their reaping was very painful. But perhaps they learned to become humble, loving and obedient to the Holy Spirit, that is what being forgiven is all about. Jesus came to save us from our sin. Matt. 24:18 tells us what to do about sin in the church but if there is true repentance then Jesus would like us to help the person up to try again and again and again, as HE said to His disciples, 70 x 7 for the same offence. Our Judgment is to help, not to destroy. We are called in 1 Cor. 6 to help the church with our Judgment to be better. The judgment to destroy is reserved to GOD alone. So If we have the wisdom and loving grace to help someone get back up if they want to get back up, we are to help them get back up. We all need this support from time to time, none of us are like Jesus, yet.

Worthy Brief <worthybrief@worthynetwork.com>
John 21:14-15, 22 After Yeshua’s resurrection, He showed himself to the apostles several times. Once, as they were fishing, Yeshua met them on the shore of the Sea of Galilee. Peter was there, back at his craft, but swirling with inward negative emotions. The anguish of his recent denial, three times, exactly as Yeshua had predicted, mixed with the amazement and perplexity at the empty tomb, and finally the astounding relief and joy witnessing the risen Lord. Peter was on an emotional roller coaster for days, but the issue of his denial remained unresolved.

The Lord’s encounter with Peter on the Sea of Galilee was to fully restore him. Three times Yeshua probes His beloved disciple “Do you love me?” But this is more than just a quantitative restoration. The Lord is penetrating the apostle’s heart in this amazing conversation, because He really knows how much Peter loves Him and He wants Peter to know that He trusts him completely even after his awful failure. So Yeshua gives Peter his lifelong commission– “Feed my lambs!”; “Feed my sheep.” Yeshua knew that He could entrust Peter with this responsibility, and He told him so. And Peter was restored. Yet Peter still wobbles, even as he receives his restoration, when he asks about his fellow apostle, John. Yeshua’s response, “what is that to you, you follow me!” settles the matter. The Lord is saying, “stop the competition, Peter. Those days are over, yet you’re still comparing…I have work for you; I have a life for you; live it!”

The enemy would love to dig up your past, thrust it in your face, and leave you comparing yourself with others for the rest of your life – but the Lord has a life for you and He wants you to live it. Your life, not someone else’s. He loves you and He trusts you to be who He made you to be. So don’t allow your past failures or your present jealousies to prevent you from the life you’re called to live for Him! Your family in the Lord with much agape love, George Baltimore,

MARRIAGE “WORTH CONSIDERING” 8/21/21 By Ken Smith<><

A long time ago, I ask the LORD what was HIS definition of Marriage? The reply to my heart was, “Marriage, is a life time commitment of a man & women to become one. Apostle Paul equates the union as an example of Christ and HIS Church, Eph.5:22-32. While Apostle Peter tell us that prayers will not be even considered without that unity, 1 Peter 3:7. And further that God created sex to be enjoyed, a helpful safe bonding glue and to help make a family. Heb. 13:4 But obviously as the bodies designs are very different the responsibilities are very different.

Originally in Genesis 2:20 we find Eve created for Adam as a helper/companion. (In my book God’s very best work, with a most exquisite attention to detail.) “And the man gave names to all the livestock, and to the birds of the air, and to every animal of the field; but for Adam there was not found a helper [that was] suitable (a companion) for him.” After the Rebellion and Fall the position was altered as found in Gen.3:16, “To the woman He said, “I will greatly multiply your pain in childbirth; In pain you will give birth to children; Yet your desire and longing will be for your husband, And he will rule [with authority] over you and be responsible for you.” Here is about the time that most woman start to fade away…. But I did not write the Book, and this truth is in context with all of the other 66 writings…. So if you have an issue, it is with the Holy Spirit who kept this understanding for us over 6,000 years.

As with Adam he was asked originally to a fruit tester and animal lover and to make lots of babies with a one tree exception. A no tree to help Adam learn humility, obedience and grow a strong free will. Of course we all know what happened in Gen.3 while Adam & Eve were over pondering the forbidden fruit???? Yes, Adam was standing there with Eve, verse 6. But Eve took the authority of fielding the 3 lies. #1, are you sure God really said that? #2. God’s really holding out on you. #3. Do you really believe God will kill you for eating some fruit??? Jesus went through the same 3 temptations and we go through them every day. The present Church is one big mess because we tend to manipulate the Truth of God to fit our own weaknesses and flesh desires. That way we can do what we want to and still believe we are OK to be with God in heaven. That we will somehow get in just as we are rather than allow the Holy Spirit to change us to be like GOD. Rom.8:6-14.

So today we have a lot of “vain traditions” that we have allowed to roost in our humanity as being from GOD when they are not. So I am going to keep out of trouble and just give you some verses to look up if you are interested:

Men: 1 Tim. 3:2, 1Tim.5:8, 1 Thess. 3:10-11, Titus 1:7, Titus 2:15
Woman: 1 Tim.2: 8-15, 1 Pet. 3, 1 Cor.14:34-36, Proverbs 31:10-31

And there is no precedent in the New Testament where the Holy Spirit chose a woman Elder in the Early Church to rule over men. It takes a Godly Man to teach a young man how to be a godly man.

We are all in a chain of authority from our Heavenly Father, Jesus (Word of God made flesh), Holy Spirit, Elders, Deacons, Steward, Husbands, Wives, Children, so that all are protected in God’s Loving Truth. We are writing here concerning the ideal, not what we see in action today. But in time if we will have learned to enjoy humility, obedience, loving unity and the power of God will really be free. And those of us who graduate into the Kingdom of God to light speed will be so very happy that they did.

1 Cor. 15:24: “ Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

Yours, in HIS great love and wonderful Grace and Mercy, Ken<>< www.Trinity-Aloha.org

Note to me on FaceBook. “I just got over the covid and I am UN-vaccinated, I hate to see people suffer but I can say from experience I was treated with hydroxychloroquine, zinc and vitamins. I had a low grade fever and cold like symptoms and was thru in 5 days. Do what you think is right for you but no you do not know if you were UN-vaccinated that it would be much worse because I was and it was not that bad.” ( I tend to think this is the best way to go, Natural immunity, but all the chips are not in. It looks dangerous either way, so need to pray about it, seriously. I called the V.A. about it, they were not set up for the above treatment? Even with the Trump success.)

Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. William Wilberforce led a campaign against the British Parliament to abolish slavery in the late 1700’s and early 1800’s. During the course of his intense efforts, Wilberforce came to a desperate place of discouragement, feeling he had absolutely no more strength to continue. In this condition, he was about to give up, when his elderly friend, John Wesley, lying on his deathbed, was informed of his friend William’s distress. Wesley requested pen and paper, and with a quivering hand, wrote these words, “Unless God has raised you up for this very thing, you will be worn out by the opposition of men and devils. But if God be for you, who can be against you? Are all of them stronger than God? Oh be not weary of well-doing! Go on, in the name of God and in the power of his might, till even American slavery shall vanish away before it.” John Wesley died six days later, but William Wilberforce fought for forty-five more years, and in 1833, three days before his own death, witnessed the abolition of slavery in Britain. So, do not grow weary in well-doing, for we can still triumph! It’s exactly when everything looks hopeless that our God has the opportunity to display His awesome power. Even the great men that changed history needed a word of encouragement now and then – so be encouraged, and be an encourager! You never know when you may enable another saint to continue pressing on, or how that may change the world! Your family in the Lord with much agape love, George Baltimore, Maryland Worthy Brief <worthybrief@worthynetwork.com>

Armageddon, (Hebrew: “Hill of Megiddo ?”), 8/5/21 From Ken Smith<><

In the New Testament, place where the kings of the earth under demonic leadership will wage war on the forces of God at the end of history. Armageddon is mentioned in the Bible only once, in the Revelation to John, or the Apocalypse of St. John (16:16). (Prophesy given to John by Jesus.) The Palestinian city of Megiddo, located on a pass commanding a road connecting Egypt and Syria, was probably chosen as a symbol for such a battle, because it had been the scene of many military encounters owing to its strategic location. (Megiddo was also the site of a crucial battle in 1918 during the First World War and lent its name to the victor: Lord Allenby of Megiddo.) The term Armageddon has often been used by Protestant fundamentalists to refer to an impending cataclysmic struggle between the forces of good and evil. (See apocalyptic literature.) It has also been used figuratively, often by peace activists, to describe a possible nuclear world war. by Robert E. Lerner.

Isaiah 5:30: Armageddon? And in that day they [the army from afar] shall roar against [the Jews] like the roaring of the sea. And if one looks to the land, behold, there is darkness and distress; and the light [itself] will be darkened by the clouds of it. ( Seems like this is in the news now just about every day, so looks like things Biblically are moving ahead. 15 prophetic events were to happen prior to the countdown and all 15 are happening now.

Prior to the confrontation of Armageddon as shared in Rev. 16:16 there are several events to happen. Next on the prophetic list is a great harvest of souls for the Kingdom of God and a time of false peace and then to everyone’s great surprise, Jesus comes and removes His Church from earth. (Some call it the Rapture.) We tend to think of church as a building when it is really individual people in the unity of John 17 & Eph.4:11-16, (please read). After this will come a time of horror and WRATH of 7 years known as the Great Tribulation which starts as world peace and ends in world slavery. So if you are part of the LORD’S Church you will miss out on that time of the Great Wrath of God. At the end of that 7 years comes Armageddon where Jesus destroys the armies of the world and enforces a true world peace for 1,000 years. So I have taken this time to share about the snatching away of the Church or so called, “The Rapture” as it will be a time resurrection, rewards, victory and a true union with our Creator. And it may be soon, you really don’t want to miss it. Jesus taught that the Rapture would be a big surprise for all. Matt. 24:37 & 25. I know of no Old Testament scripture concerning the Rapture but many concerning HIS 2nd Advent as KING of KINGS…. Ezekiel 34:12 comes close: “As a shepherd seeks out his sheep in the day that he is among his flock that are scattered, so will I seek out My sheep; and I will rescue them out of all places where they have been scattered in the day of clouds and thick darkness.” Daniel 7:13 is interesting: “I saw in the night visions, and behold, on the clouds of the heavens came One like a Son of man, and He came to the Ancient of Days and was presented before Him.” (For me: clouds = darkness or lucifer who still has access and the Son of man, Jesus presented Himself to the Heavenly Father and was able to start the process of redemption and the removal of the darkness from the Heavens as in Rev. 12:11…. and the removal of the darkness from the earth as in Rev. 19…. It was the Glory of God that was set before Jesus that gave HIM the faith to endure the death of the cross. HE knew by the Holy Scriptures exactly what HE was asked to do and HE did it gladly in love for us. Now the darkness of the clouds can no longer hold the creation of GOD because of Jesus, so we are free, if we want it. In the New Creation there will no longer be any clouds of darkness. Ezek.28:18 And the dark clouds can no longer stop us from victory. Matt. 24:37, Mark 13:35-37, Luke 21:36 (Jesus tells us, ” To watch so as to be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.”) He tells about the great tribulation and then how to escape.) Can you see that? The portion in Matt. 24:37 and on… Is the first clear mention of the Rapture in the Bible that I am aware of? Picked up again in Acts:1:9-11 that the taking up of Jesus into the clouds is the same way that HE will return for the Church. Clouds mentioned 50 times in the AMP The Rapture is for the saved. 1 Thess. 4:17: “Then we, the living ones who remain [on the earth], shall simultaneously be caught up along with [the resurrected dead] in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and so always (through the eternity of the eternities) we shall be with the Lord!

This is the fist thing that John learns about as he is recording the words of Jesus for The Revelation. Jesus shares as though the resurrection has already happened and HIS second advent is about to happen. Jesus shares HIS blessings for the Church in Rev. 1:1-6. The Church is already with Him and at home with the LORD and verse 6 ends with an Amen

BUT then in the next verse Rev. 1:7. is judgment. “Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth shall gaze upon Him and beat their breasts and mourn and lament over Him. Even so [must it be]. Amen (so be it). In verse 7. Jesus shares about judgment. and crying, also ends with an Amen.

Also He is in the clouds come in the same way at Armageddon in Judgment of the damned. So we see 2 different events listed as important in the first seven verses of The Revelation.. The Revelation is not chronological, it is full of rabbit trails which must be matched to a time line as in Chapters 6 & 12. Covers church age 2,000 yrs. Tribulation 7 yrs, the Millennium Kingdom of Christ Jesus of 1,000 yrs and the new heavens and the new earth for eternity.

HOLY SPIRIT

Aloha Saints, Family & Friends, Beloved of Jesus and me, John 3:16

HOLY SPIRIT, “WORTH CONSIDERING” 8/7/21 From Ken Smith<><

Some Names for the Holy Spirit: Holy Spirit, Spirit of God, Spirit of Yahweh, Spirit of Grace, Spirit of Knowledge, Spirit of Truth, Spirit of Understanding, Spirit of Wisdom, Spirit of Life, Spirit of the Living God, Spirit of Prophecy, Spirit of Revelation, Spirit of the Father, Spirit of the Fear of the Lord, Spirit of the Lord, Spirit of the Son, Spirit, Breath of the Almighty, Helper, Spirit of Counsel, Eternal Spirit, Generous Spirit, God, Good Spirit, Lord, Power of the Highest, Spirit of Might, Spirit of Adoption, Spirit of Burning, Spirit of Judgment / Spirit of Justice, Spirit of Christ, Spirit of Glory.

Notice what Jesus teaches in Luke’s Gospel 11:11. “What father among you, if his son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead of a fish? 12 Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? 13 If you, then, being evil [that is, sinful by nature], know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask and continue to ask Him!” Notice that the Holy Spirit is here given to a SON. So to receive the power of the Holy Spirit one must first become a child of God, Romans 10’9-10…. A major factor in being empowered by the Holy Spirit after salvation is obedience. Acts 5:32, “And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.” In the Church, obedience is no longer taught from God’s point of view anymore as in Hebrews 5:9, “And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;” The so called church today is more concerned about membership than helping the flock to know and obey the Words of Jesus. So the outcome is permissiveness, greasy grace and sloppy agape. We tend to make up our own rules concerning what God wants so we can stay within our own comfort zones. Being our savior, is wonderful but really, really become like our LORD where we find HIS commandments and keep them is really too much to ask. But consider, Rom.8:4-11 “That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. 10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.”

So Jesus came to save us, seal us and to empower us. 1n 1955 I was saved and sealed ok but the little box church I went do did not understand the empowering part. So I bumped along as a pretty much carnal Christian for about 13 years. Then I heard about the empowering of the Holy Spirit and gave a lot of time to the scriptures to get the rest of the package the Jesus died to give me. It was during the wonderful move of God in 1968 and it was wonderful to come into the land of God’s power and freedom. There was so much faith during those days that everything became supernaturally natural. People were getting their needs met all around me, it was amazing. As the power of God became real like Acts 5:16 it became normal church. Personally I long for that to happen again in this generation. In Matt. 3:11, John the Baptist taught about this: “And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: 12 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.” So here, the greatest of the Old Testament Prophets clearly puts it together for us. Either get baptized with the Holy Ghost (Spirit) and become good seeds and reproduce good fruit or be pruned and cast into the fire. John was saying the wheat (Church) will be gathered (Raptured) and what is left will be tossed into the fire. (at the 2nd resurrection.) And of course there is the “Fruit” of the Spirit, the “Gifts” of the Spirit and the “Ministries” of the Spirit that need to be considered and understood to have faith for. Nothing works in God’s Kingdom without FAITH….

CHILDREN, Feeling a big political today,
Sort of considering our children. The Bible teaches that they are arrows in the quiver of a mighty man. We are enjoying 2 Japanese girls, 18, now giving us a hand at TruVine from upstate New York. They came to us as Wwoofers from upscale professional families with perfect finger nails, now removing weeds from our back stone wall. And are having great fun and enjoying this new adventure, so far. They are still like children in many ways but trying to learn to live in our morally bombed out world. Please be in prayer for them. Yours in HIS great love, Ken<>< www.Trinity-Aloha.org

A PASTOR’s WIFE’s LETTER -Trish Woelk
Since the early days of my Christianity, I have been praying for revival. Coming into the Kingdom at the end of the Charismatic Movement in l975, I went to Aglow and Full Gospel meetings, but the glory had departed and religion, politics and factions were moving in. My longing for the presence of the Lord was fed by writings and biographies of revivalists. Studying Evans and Finney made my heart ache for the church. She was being overtaken by her enemies, the gods of this world. Ten years ago, while studying the 33rd chapter of Exodus, the Lord began showing me the state of the church. Exodus 33:3- “Go up to a land flowing with milk and honey; for I will not go up in your midst…” I saw the church. No cloud. No pillar of fire. No Presence. No manifestation. No miracles, signs, or wonders. He was not with us.

We were wandering around in the desert, being over- taken by our enemies. There was a terrible shallowness everywhere. We said things about Jesus that were blasphemous: “Just ask Him into your heart and you will be saved”. Unbelief was common: “Can you really know if you are saved?” The most simple teachings of the Bible – repentance, holiness, sacrifice, faith, love, were ignored or misunderstood. Almost the entire church followed denominational hierarchies who used sheep, rather than caring for them. Propagation was rare, something we studied, like math. Righteousness, peace, and joy? Testimonies? Baptisms? He was not with us.
“…lest I consume you on the way for you are a stiff- necked people.”One who is stiff-necked is one whose vision is restricted. Eventually, left untreated, the stiff-necked person´s head will not be able to turn. Stubbornly holding to a form, the Institutional Church refuses to admit His glory has departed. Stiff-necked, she insists on carrying an ark that does not give evidence of His presence. Declaring she is a place of covering and protection, she is being overrun by her enemy. Insisting she is the place of nurture, she is using hungry baby lambs to feed herself. Declaring herself a place of freedom, she uses the Bible to bind sheep to herself. She is led by a board of elders rather than a pillar of fire, and she is ruled by a pastor, rather than a King. “Bring them in so they can be saved!” she cries, while her sheep trudge through the desert full of unbelief, fear and timidity, unforgiveness and bitterness, ambition, vanity and sexual impurity, strife. Stiffly, with no more passion than the building she so proudly meets in, she drives her congregation through the motions of sustaining “church life”, which generally consists of a schedule (somehow thought to be hallowed) of weekly meetings… Tragically, her differentiation from the world is not always discernible. She is stiff-necked, refusing to admit what everyone knows but her – her strength is in her numbers and her money, not her God. Mike & Trish Woelk pastored for years in Pentecostal churches. They are still very active for God and are still recognized leaders among-st the Christians . Rev. 3:12-22

TRADITIONS

Aloha Saints, Family & Friends, beloved of Jesus and me, John 3:16

TRADITIONS, “WORTH CONSIDERING” 8/2/21 Ken Smith <><

We are on a space dock hustling through space in a temporary dimension of time with two transport star ships on the dock open for business. One looks like Los Vegas and the other looks like the peaceful farm where I was born in Kentucky. We are on the dock but In our lifetime we will be boarding one or the other. But you can not be on both at the same time. One Ship is named Adam, the other, Jesus. John 3

Jesus taught us to be aware of vain traditions: Mark 7:6-8: 6 He (Jesus) replied, “Rightly did Isaiah prophesy about you hypocrites (play-actors, pretenders), as it is written [in Scripture], ‘These people honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me.” 7 ‘They worship Me in vain [their worship is meaningless and worthless, a pretense], Teaching the precepts of men as doctrines [giving their traditions equal weight with the Scriptures].’ 8 You disregard and neglect the commandment of God, and cling [faithfully] to the tradition of men.”

And there are also good traditions: 2 Thess. 2:14-16: “It was to this end that He called you through our gospel [the good news of Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection], so that you may obtain and share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. 15 So then, [a] brothers and sisters, stand firm and hold [tightly] to the traditions which you were taught, whether by word of mouth or by letter from us. 16 Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting comfort and encouragement and the good [well-founded] hope [of salvation] by His grace.” So we need to take time to figure out which work and which don’t. The good ones help us to be like Jesus.

Revelation 1:5-6 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Story in my e-mail….
One day a passerby saw a homeless man on the roadside. He stopped for a moment to hand him some loose change and casually said “God bless you, my friend”. “I thank God,” said the homeless man, “I am never unhappy.” “What do you mean?” the passerby asked. “Well,” he said, “when the sun is out, I thank God — when it rains, I thank God. When I am full, I thank God and when I am hungry, I thank God. And, since God’s will is my will, and whatever pleases Him pleases me, why should I say I am unhappy when I am not?” The man looked at him in astonishment and asked, “Who are you?” “I am a King,” said he. “Where, then, is your Kingdom?” asked the man. “In my heart.” The homeless man replied. Yes, we can have nothing, yet have it all. So often, we focus on what we have and forget who we are! The two are not related at all — what we have (or don’t have) has nothing to do with who we are! The Word says that we are ambassadors, kings and priests and so it is! Let’s give all our concerns to the Lord and see ourselves as He does — as part of His Royal Family! Thank God in every circumstance and there, we will find our victory.”

Ken’s notes:
So what do we have as traditions that get in the way of God’s will for us. I grew up in my early faith with pride that I belonged to the biggest church in town. That was my church and I sang in the choir and eventually taught Adult Sunday School. And that pride very nicely keep me from a Biblical position of humility, obedience & Biblical Truth. I got so bored in listening to Salvation messages that I would go to sleep in front of 1500 people in the top middle of the choir loft behind the minister giving the sermon. My ribs were hurting each Sunday from the guys on both sides poking me to try to keep me awake. And when awake, I would try to find the most lovely face in the congregation. Also as a General Contractor I would buy stuff for the church like carpeting and roofs and things needed as though serving GOD, but getting the pats on the back all the same. And then later I found out that the Early Church had an evangelistic outreach on Saturday mornings in the Temple or where ever and then met in homes in the evening for a walk through the Tabernacle, Acts 2:39-43. Each of the 7 steps was represented prophetically by the furnishings in the Tabernacle of Moses. The church built no building and no tithes were collected. They collected gifts and offerings for evangelism and for the poor. Paul even made tents so not to use collected funds. It was a totally new wine skin with a brand new wine and with powerful signs and wonders. So what happened to that? We traditionalized it into our own comfort zone which makes us lukewarm as per the Last Church Leodocian, Rev.3:14-22/ Note that Jesus is outside this church, knocking to try to get in.

So we have, over the centuries, made religious traditions that make the church look good but is mostly powerless. Paul taught us to leave that kind of foolishness and find some place else that truly makes Jesus LORD and allow the HOLY SPIRIT to guide and show us the Truth and the Power of HIS KINGDOM.

One tradition is you are OK, I am OK. As if we don’t really have to agree or believe in the same things but we are still OK. We can agree to disagree and this is OK with GOD, but it is not. The only recorded prayer of Jesus that was heard by John is concerning true unity, John 17. All through the scriptures we are challenged to have the Unity of the Faith in the Bond of Peace. Unity in God’s truth is the only channel in which the power of the Holy Spirit can flow. Today the so called church is fractured into so many pieces that it is taught that the Book of Acts is only a history and not good for doctrine. But until we find obedience in LOVE & RIGHTEOUSNESS, to join together in GOD’s TRUTH there will ALWAYS BE little or no power to help those in need.

We have the tradition of looking good on the outside and not really being much concerned about the inside nor the power of God to fix things. Our Creator is intent on creating a powerful family in loving righteousness. We find it difficult to have any form of unity, anywhere, especially in our homes, marriages, churches and govt.

We have a tradition of loving our leadership when they look good and trashing them when they are exposed and are like the rest of us. As though it was them we were to receive help from rather than that the glory belongs to GOD and it simply flowed through them. We elevate them to a place of pride where they can not succeed nor survive.

We have a lot of “TRADITIONS” that keep us from seeing Jesus and all of HIS GLORY that brings folks to HIM. Might study, Eph. 4:11-16, 1 Cor. 14:23-40 for a view of the Early Church. And Paul’s prophesy of today’s church in 2 Tim. 3:1-9. But the church does end up victorious without spot, wrinkle or blemish before she goes home. And in Rev. 12:11 boots lucifer out of the Heavens. So hang on tight, we are getting ready for a real Holy Spirit bath and some deep pruning from the LORD..
