ALOHA FAMILY AND FRIENDS, Beloved of GOD, John 3:16 GOD'S GRACE, "WORTH CONSIDERING" 7/11/19 (Across my desk this morning.) Today’s Scripture For they did not gain possession of the land by their own sword, nor did their own arm save them; but it was Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your countenance, because You favored them." (Psalm 44:3, NKJV) The Gracious Hand of God Have you ever thought about the fact that the victories you saw in your past weren’t just your own doing? When you made it through a difficult time, when you received an unexpected break, when things turned around for no reason, it was because God favored you. You wouldn’t be where you are if the gracious hand of God was not on your life! Now you may not have as much education as somebody else. But that’s okay. You have an advantage. You have this favor factor. Maybe you don’t come from the most influential family. That’s all right. God’s favor can take you where you cannot go on your own. Deep down you have to know there is something about you that is indefinable. It can’t be measured, can’t be put on paper, and can’t be explained. Other people won’t be able to figure it out. All they know is that you have it. There is something about you they like, something that causes you to succeed. That’s the gracious hand of God. Today, let this truth sink down deeply into your heart. Don’t be discouraged by what you can see; be encouraged by what you can’t see! Put your shoulders back and go out with faith and confidence knowing that His gracious hand is upon you! A Prayer for Today "For they did not gain possession of the land by their own sword, nor did their own arm save them; but it was Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your countenance, because You favored them." My Thoughts: This morning as I set down to write on this the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart and said, "I keep telling you of God's "lOVE" for you as with every soul, but you don't really hear ME." And I thought about it and said, "But I do love GOD." And then I thought, but not how the Holy Spirit is saying it. When He speaks, it is clear.... when I say it it goes though my remaining past filters of rejection, pride, sin and unresolved conflicts. So I get the message that I still have some trash to dump before I can really experience the deep love of God. And His clear love is what brings me into repentance and loving faith. We already have all of HIS LOVE and GRACE in Christ Jesus. But we need to dump our junk in order to make room for GOD's LOVE to penetrate and to fully experience it. This has helped me today to want to "clean to the corners" with the blood of the lamb. There is so much of Adam's fallen nature shared with us that needs to be converted back to what GOD originally designed for us to be. GOD's original vision was to make us in HIS own image and likeness. And HE never changes HIS mind. But it is up to us now as to whether we want to change to be like HIM or not? Love in Jesus, Ken<>< O:-) FROM the PRAYER CLOSET to THE LION'S DEN by David Wilkerson The Bible shows a pattern in the lives of all God´s people. In case after case, when God began to fulfill his promises, the roof seemed to cave in. Think of Daniel, a handsome, gifted young man who was chosen to serve in the king´s palace (see Daniel 1:3-6). He pledged himself to a life of holiness and separation from the world and was promoted because of his excellence. "Then this Daniel distinguished himself .... Because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king gave thought to setting him over the whole realm" (Daniel 6:3). But devious men became jealous and devised a plan to destroy Daniel, resulting in his being thrown into a den of lions. God intervened and delivered his servant by shutting the mouths of the lions! Think of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, three exceptional young men who were brought to the king´s palace, where they were made leaders in the government. However, when the king commanded that everyone bow before his false god, they refused and were immediately bound and thrown into the fiery furnace that was prepared for them. All seemed lost until the Son of God showed up in the fire and delivered them! And think of Elijah. God gave him a glorious promise of a spiritual awakening in the land, of an outpouring of abundant rain, and a new day of victory for God´s people. Wicked Ahab and Jezebel were to be overthrown and peace was to rule over the realm. But Jezebel threatened Elijah´s life, the prophets of God were killed, and the land continued in wickedness and drought. Elijah felt alone and confused before the promise was fulfilled. Read this account in 1 Kings 18 and 19. Do not be deterred by adverse, confusing circumstances in your life. One does not go from the prayer closet directly to some mountaintop victory. You may have to go to the lions´ den, or the fiery furnace, or the valley of confusion. But do not despair! God is sovereign and the Shepherd is still leading. Your suffering and confusion will give way to a faith that will never fail - a faith that has been tried, as gold, in the fire of adversity. ~Source- http://world.convio.net/site/R?i=G4lBsEhH42a2lDzQymOq8A "Speak, only if it improves upon the silence."
