TRUTH “WORTH CONSIDERING” 8/9/19, (Across my desk this morning.)
“…God does not show favoritism but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right.” (Acts 10:34-35, NIV)
A Free Gift For All
Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom! And God’s freedom is free for everyone. It doesn’t matter what your nationality or heritage is, or who your family is. It doesn’t matter how much money you have or don’t have. God wants you free from everything that would hold you back in this life. He wants to pour out His abundant blessing on all who honor Him and choose His ways.”
It says in Galatians that in Christ, there is no Jew or Greek or even male or female. That means God is not judging you based on physical conditions; He’s looking at your heart. He’s looking at the gifts He’s placed inside of you.”
Don’t let the enemy lie to you and tell you that God is blessing everyone else but you. Look for the ways He is pouring out blessing in your life. Thank Him for His acceptance, love and freedom today. Focus on honoring Him and doing what is right. Receive His favor and blessing because it is a free gift for all!
A Prayer for Today
“Father in heaven, thank You for loving and accepting me today. I choose to do what is right and honor You with my attitude, words and actions. Holy Spirit, show me if there is any area that isn’t pleasing to You and help me live as an example of Your goodness all the days of my life in Jesus’ name. Amen.”
It is not our fiction but GOD’s TRUTH that sets us free. HE is love and loves every soul as much as any other. But like any good father, he blesses us when we do what HE likes and leaves us to make our own decisions even when they are wrong. He has set in place an eternal law of “sowing and reaping” Your garden will produce the seeds that you plant, good or weeds. We can learn by faith or trial and error, up to us.
But HE has made sure we have HIS TRUTH available to us through the Holy Scriptures. So if we ingest the Holy Scriptures we will know what HIS TRUTH is. But even then, it will do us no good unless we walk it out. God does not test us, James 1:13. We are tempted when we are drawn away by the lies of the world, flesh and the enemy. All the good stuff comes from GOD if we want it. And all the bad stuff comes from the enemy and you can have as much as you can carry. James is a great letter on personal healing. We need to set the TRUTH from James really deep in our hearts. After all, James spent his whole life time watching and learning directly from Christ Jesus. A great source of TRUTH to set us free.
In John 8:31, John records this:
Just about every lie on TV and most of the publicity all around us preaches freedom and except for a very few items it really only puts us into more bondage. God’s Freedom is to owe no man anything but to love one another, Rom.13:8. So God’s Word tells us not to go into debt as it is bondage but as a nation we are in total disobedience and wonder why we have such little freedom. Life is not about stuff but about every word that comes from God. Matt.16:25, John 12:24-26, John 17:20-24. Christ Jesus taught us: “

More GREAT QUOTES -Sermonindex.net "Oh, the lives eternally wrecked by the yellow gospels of the day-the bloodless theories of unregenerate men that send their hearers to their doom instead of stopping them on their downward road!" - H. A. Ironside "And what is wrong with the old method of scaring the ungodly with a sermon on hell?" - Vance Havner "There is a lot of soft, sentimental talk about Him today that brings no conviction. When Isaiah saw the Lord, he did not feel comfortable! Neither did Habakkuk nor Daniel nor Paul nor John. We want a picture of Him today that does not disturb us, that smiles at sin, and winks at iniquity. I remember a man who told me he wanted to hear no hell-fire sermons but rather about the meek and lowly Jesus. Yet the poor man did not seem to realize that the meek and lowly Jesus said more about hell than is reported from the lips of anyone else in the Bible! We need a true and complete vision of God in His holiness and Christ in His glory that will bring us to repentance." -Vance Havner. "Obedience is the crown and honour of all virtue." -Martin Luther "Spiritual maturity is reached when obedience [to God and His word] becomes a joy." - Jesse Yoder "In Acts the apostles prayed for 10 days then preached for 10 min- utes and 3000 people were saved. Today pastors pray for 10 minutes then preach for 10 days and wonder why no-one is saved." -B.H. Clendennen. "It is a poor sermon that gives no offense; that neither makes the hearer displeased with himself nor with the preacher." -George Whitefield.
