PEACE
PEACE, “WORTH CONSIDERING” 3/19/21 From Ken Smith<>< ken@trinity-aloha.org
For all the talk about Peace and money spent for Peace it is amazing how little Peace there is in the world today. Even those making the most noise for peace are the least peaceful. The vision of the NWO, Communist and Islamic teaching is that if we get rid of the opposition to our way of life then we can have real peace. Of course the rest of the world is not up for the domination.
While at physical therapy today I read a little note on the reception office window that went like this; “Peace. It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.” And I wondered if the person who wrote that was a true Christian as they seem to really understand this message from Christ Jesus. So I thought to share some of the scriptures concerning PEACE. In the AMP there are around 412 places in the Bible, 108 in the New Testament concerning PEACE. Jesus used the word Peace in about 32 places, so an important subject. I like especially John 14:27, Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. [Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge.]
16:32-33,”32 Take careful notice: an hour is coming, and has arrived, when you will all be scattered, each to his own home, leaving Me alone; and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me. 33 I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.]
20:18-23, “19 So when it was evening on that same day, the first day of the week, though the disciples were [meeting] behind barred doors for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them, and said, “[a]Peace to you.” 20 After He said this, He showed them His hands and His side. When the disciples saw the Lord, they were filled with great joy. 21 Then Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you; as the Father has sent Me, I also send you [as My representatives].” 22 And when He said this, He breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 If you forgive the sins of anyone they are forgiven [because of their faith]; if you retain the sins of anyone, they are retained [and remain un-forgiven because of their unbelief].”
So real PEACE comes with a true relationship with Christ Jesus as LORD so that we don’t become concerned about the stuff. We don’t need to carry yesterday’s garbage. And we are told not to carry unforgiveness about anything. If we glue someone to their sin in negative judgment then God allows the same glue to bind us in our sins as well. At the Cross, Jesus had more compassion and concern for the souls of the men driving spikes into his feet that He had for the pain He was enduring. And Jesus is our example and Jesus was not in life any different from you or me in the things that He was learning and endured. 1 John 4:17, “ In this [union and fellowship with Him], love is completed and perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment [with assurance and boldness to face Him]; because as He is, so are we in this world. Start reading in 1 Joh 4:17 and complete the chapter along with John 5 for real peace.

Great LEONARD RAVENHILL QUOTES
“Not many Christians today can forget the fact that the devil goeth about as a roaring lion, but we seem to have lost sight of the fact that the Lion of the tribe of Judah has defeated the roaring lion of hell, and therefore every anointed Samson or Gideon or church can also slay the lion of hell. Though wicked men are doing wickedly, God’s promise to us is that “the people that do know
their God shall be strong and do exploits” (Daniel 11:32).”
“The world is not waiting for a new definition of the Holy Ghost but a new demonstration of the Holy Ghost.”
“The greatest tragedy is a sick church in a dying world.”
“If I am filled with the Holy Spirit the same things that grieve the Holy Spirit will grieve my spirit.”
“A popular evangelist reaches your emotions. A true prophet reaches your conscience.”
“The last words of Jesus to the church (in Revelation) were “Repent!'”
“A true shepherd leads the way. He does not merely point the way.”
“John the Baptist never performed any miracles. Yet, he was greater than any of the Old Testament prophets.”
“I doubt that more than two percent of professing Christians in the United States are truly born again.”
“Our God is a consuming fire. He consumes pride, lust, materialism, and other sin.”
“There are only two kinds of persons: those dead in sin and those dead to sin.”
“Some women will spend thirty minutes to an hour preparing for church externally (putting on special clothes and makeup, etc.). What would happen if we all spent the same amount of time preparing internally for church? – with prayer and meditation?”
“Maturity comes from obedience, not necessarily from age.”
“What good does it do to speak in tongues on Sunday if you have been using your tongue during the week to curse and gossip?”
“The Bible is either absolute, or it’s obsolete.”
“Why do we expect to be better treated in this world than Jesus was?”
Worthy Brief <worthybrief@worthynetwork.com> The Chinese government maintained tight control of a World Health Organization investigation in Wuhan into the origins of the coronavirus, according to a report from The Wall Street Journal, which said that Beijing was granted veto power over which scientists were allowed to take part in the mission. Surviving COVID-19 protects most people against reinfection for at least six months, but elderly patients are more likely to be laid low by the virus a second time, researchers reported Thursday. The House of Representatives Thursday passed immigration bills that would protect millions of undocumented immigrants from deportation and offer them a pathway to stay in the United States permanently. The US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said Tuesday that the US is on pace to see more Central American migrants arriving at the south-western border than it has in the last 20 years. In a written statement on the DHS website, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro N. Mayorkas said the department is expelling most single adults and families, but is not expelling the surge of unaccompanied minors.
