LOVE OF GOD
I have a dear friend of many many years, David Sinkler, who is always talking about God’s Love like that is all that he knows about. He was the teacher for our Ministry Home School in the late 70’s when I was trying to get the Trade-Winds up to speed. And I tended to just turn him off sometimes as he seem to get pretty mushy about God’s Love. I thought I knew all about God’s love in even saving a sinner like me. But the other morning early the Lord gave me a small taste of what David was talking about. And in spite of my warts and grunges the Lord started loving on me and telling me why things are the way they are with such patience.
First HE went back to the notes of Moses written about 1500 BC and 2500 years after the facts. Only the book of Job is older. But HE confirmed that Gen 1:26 was accurate that HIS original design plan was to make an even playing field where we could become like HIM if we really wanted to. And HE knew exactly what it was going to all look like even before HE started.
HE knew that HE would only gain 2/3rds of the angels in their exercise of free will. And with humanity even less in that only about 2 to 3% would learn to exercise their free will to want to become like HIM. HE confirmed that Love, Truth, Righteousness and keeping of HIS word were all schools of learning for humility. And that it would take humility and obedience to make the needed changes to be able for us to live comfortable with HIM as in Rev. 21.
And that it was not a matter of being good, but of taking the time to establish a relationship with HIM as that is the deep need. And this takes a focused time to make this happen with anyone. About 5 years ago an old army injury went off in my feet making it painful to walk. So having a more comfortable day, to sit, I began writing a blog called “Worth Considering” on what ever the Holy Spirit encouraged me to write about. You can find this file as a link at the bottom of my web file: www.OhanaChurch.Life with also my book, “Keys To The Kingdom” available there as well as to setting up a House Church, plus a lot of other links that you may find interesting.
So basically my experience the other morning was the wonderful presence of the LORD or Holy Spirit or GOD. And the feeling of being in a relationship of HIS loving care. That Jesus had taken care of my sins including pride and rebellion and that with my permission God was now happy to be my friend and talk to me any time that I was up for it. Having grown up with a lot of rejection in my life, it was a very different feeling of being loved as I am. Not that sin was overlooked or accepted but that HIS love was there in spite of my warts as I am now totally interested in being like my Creator as per HIS vision. And HIS great love helps me to head deeper in into HIS loving holiness and out of Love and Holiness comes HIS freedom to help me with His power and to change me in supernatural ways.
So I am, even at my age, headed into a God assisted growth experience to become like my Creator. He told me that in order for freewill to be really valid the world would need to be as it is. That is, that God can not be proven unless someone really want to know. And that people are completely free to follow what ever seems best to them without any manipulations. The native in the Jungle can seek who made the tree or he can cut it down and make an idol out of it. Our Creator God is honor bound to help those who are honestly seeking, knocking and asking for God’s Truth. So we see many in the Old Testament sharing God’s truth with us in prophesy. We see Able being taught to offer the sacrifice of a Lamb as a type of Jesus coming as the “Lamb of God” to take away the sin of the world. Isa. 63 covers this well as so does Psalm 22. So when Jesus was born HE had a wealth of God’s Truth at HIS disposal as so do we.. And now we also have the last Will & Testament of Christ Jesus in the New Testament to guide us along. But we need to filter out the vain (prideful) traditions of men (2 Tim.3:5) in order for the Truth of the scriptures to work as intended in changing us. So let us take time to consider what Paul told Timothy to consider: 1 Tim.4:15-21 Notice the first word spoken by Peter on Pentecost was “REPENT” and same today.
“Whoever lives like and acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. We have come to know [by personal observation and experience], and have believed [with deep, consistent faith] the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides continually in him. In this [union and fellowship with Him], love is completed and perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment [with assurance and boldness to face Him]; because as He is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love [dread does not exist]. But perfect (complete, full-grown) love drives out fear, because fear involves [the expectation of divine] punishment, so the one who is afraid [of God’s judgment] is not perfected in love [has not grown into a sufficient understanding of God’s love]. 19 We love, because [b] He first loved us. If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates (works against) his [Christian] brother he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen. And this commandment we have from Him, that the one who loves God should also [unselfishly] love his brother and seek the best for him.”

“Oh! men and brethren, what would this heart feel if I could but believe that there were some among you who would go home and pray for a revival men whose faith is large enough, and their love fiery enough to lead them from this moment to exercise unceasing intercessions that God would appear among us and do wondrous things here, as in the times of former generations.” – Charles Spurgeon…. “The average man is not going to be impressed by our publicity, our posters or our programs, but let there be a demonstration of the supernatural in the realm of religion, and at once man is arrested.” – Duncan Campbell…. “This is our time on the history line of God. This is it. What will we do with the one deep exhale of God on this earth? For we are but a vapor and we have to make it count. We’re on. Direct us, Lord, and get us on our feet.” – Beth Moore…. “Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.”- Corrie ten Boom…. “If we cannot believe God when circumstances seem to be against us, we do not believe Him at all.” – Charles Spurgeon…. “The Christians are right: it is Pride which has been the chief cause of misery in every nation and every family since the world began.” ― C.S. They are so enamored and so cluttered up with Hollywood and newspapers and magazines and parties and bowling alleys and camping trips and everything else. How in the world are they going to get still long enough to see anything from God?” – Lester Roloff
