GOD’S VISION

GOD’S VISION:      “WORTH CONSIDERING”    5/29/19

ALOHA FAMILY AND FRIENDS,  Beloved of God,  John 3:16,  12:24-26,  17:20-24   (Good study,  theses verses.)

SO WHAT IS GOD’S VISION FOR YOU?
There is a lot to that little question…  most folks do not have the foggiest idea of God’s vision for them personally…

So lets start from scratch from Gen. 1:26:   Then God said, “Let Us (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) make man in Our image, according to Our likeness [not physical, but a spiritual personality and moral likeness]; and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the cattle, and over the entire earth, and over everything that creeps and crawls on the earth.” 27 So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 And God blessed them [granting them certain authority] and said to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subjugate it [putting it under your power]; and rule over (dominate) the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and every living thing that moves upon the earth.”

So God’s original intent was to make you and me in His Image and Likeness,  which is a spiritual fire and now in Christ Jesus, both physical/spiritual.  (See FIRE on a previous “Worth Considering.”…  So He, God is in the process of creating a family of beings like Himself and you have been invited.   So from what Jesus Taught us, HIS Heavenly Father always gets what HE has a vision for.  As Jesus only received from HIS Heavenly Father what HE taught then we can expect this original Vision to come to pass as per Luke 14:27-29 And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.   28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?  29 Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him.

So from eternity to now and then to eternity God has in HIS vision to make you in HIS IMAGE and LIKENESS.  And for those who will by faith allow GOD to extract Adam’s carnal nature from their lives they can expect to be gathered into the family of GOD for Eternity.

So God knew all this in the very beginning.  He knew that lucifer, Adam, Saul, Ahab, Judas would go south.  And HE made provision for those who like HIS light to go north in Christ Jesus.  Paul teaches us this in 1 Cor.15:21   For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.   22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.   23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.

So for those who really don’t like the darkness and would like to come to the light,  God saw you in the very beginning through His foreknowledge as in HIS creation and has made a way for you in HIS mercy and grace to find Jesus as LORD.  The prophet Isaiah (Circa 700BC)  53:6 says it this way:  All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. and to match this: Rev.22:17    And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.  Please read in context.

So the door to being with God’s Family in Eternity opens as Christ Jesus become your LORD and as your LORD HE becomes your salvation from eternal outer darkness,  Rom. 10:9-10.

So you see, GOD gave our grandfather Adam the opportunity to make the transition from a living soul to a spiritual being in the beginning with love, joy and peace with an evening teaching stroll each evening.  But Adam took to his own way, and us with him, into the darkness.  But God, already had the solution considered.  It was very costly, but the end results would be the family that GOD had the vision for.  A family with free will and yet totally submitted to HIS Love, Wisdom and in total obedience.  Therefore we are in a temporary time school for a life time to decide if we want to graduate into the darkness or His Light and then walk it out with HIS grace and mercy.  And the results are final, we get one time through to decide.  Deciding sooner is better than later, less trash to have to toss.  But God’s Vision will come to pass for those who seek HIS light and truth which set’s us free.  And how to make Jesus really LORD,  check out the New Testament as to HIS directions for your life.  You would be amazed at how exciting it can become to be a little kid again just following after the Holy Spirit to the Glory of the Father and Christ Jesus.

PLANNING

ALOHA FAMILY AND FRIENDS,  Beloved of GOD,  John 3:16,  12:24-26,  17:20-26

PLANNING,   “WORTH CONSIDERING”   5/29/19    (Across my desk this morning.)

Today’s Scripture
“Careful planning puts you ahead in the long run; hurry and scurry puts you further behind.”
(Proverbs 21:5, MSG)

Be Proactive in Sharing God’s Love
Are you kind and considerate to people? Do you walk in love and prefer others above yourself? This passage tells us to be proactive! Notice the word “aim” and “seek.” You must be on the lookout to share God’s mercy and kindness and be good to all people. Moreover, we need to be kind to people even when they don’t deserve it. We need to walk in love and be courteous even when somebody is unkind to us.

The way you treat others has a great impact on how much of the blessings and favor of God you’re going to experience. Aim for kindness and seek to do good. As you do, God will reward your efforts and pour out His abundant blessing on you. As you extend God’s mercy to all those around you, you will discover the champion in you!

A Prayer for Today
“Father in heaven, thank You for Your goodness in my life. I choose to focus on You today no matter what my circumstances may look like. Give me Your peace as I keep my mind stayed on You in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

Ken’s Thoughts,
I know that this works very practically for me.  I have a file on my computer for things i need to get when I drive 20 miles go to Kailua Kona.  I make a copy before I leave and check off the stuff as I find it.   In Proverbs 29: 17-18 wisdom says this:   17 Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest; yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul.   18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

So planning ahead does give us more time to do more things..  Going back to the store from where we live now costs another day at my age.  Same for other important events.  My wife’s birthday is today ???  forgot to say Happy Birthday this morning….OK, texting… That worked… she will be gone all day to work and Bible Study…. LOL…  Should have written it down.  So if you are living by the seat of your pants and forgetting to love one another, might want to start getting organized and write yourself notes.   My wife want’s to go out to dinner on Sat. Evening for prime rib…  Will make that happen with something special at where we are going.  So love with planning and a vision makes life so much better…

God has a vision for us with a great deal of planning,  do you know what it is?  Do you know why the world smells like an arm pit 🙁?  Do you know why God does not do something about it yesterday?  Don’t miss my next effort at making GOD’s Vision clear for us.   Love you much in Christ Jesus,   Ken<>< O:-)   www.Trinity-Aloha.org

REVIVAL

ALOHA FAMILY AND FRIENDS,  Beloved of God,  John 3:16

REVIVAL  “WORTH CONSIDERING”  5/27/19

When a young Christian I was taught that big gatherings with a famous speaker was at the very heart of a great revival.   That all of those souls coming together was obviously a great revival.   But as I look through history it seems that real revivals changed the whole landscape of a town, county, state and even sometime a nation.  It was a very hot fire that burned up a lot of trash and garbage.

James A. Stewart put it this way:  “”Revival is the assemblies of God manifesting the oneness of the
membership in the mystical, supernatural body of Christ, delivered
from denominational bigotry.  Revival is torrents of living water flowing out of the individual believer.

Revival is the recognition of the ministry of insignificant members of the body, and deliverance from idol worship of the more prominent members who are in the limelight." From my perspective, Revival is the results of the Holy Spirit anointing some one or a few with a vision to start a fire in the middle of nowhere in a rain storm. Most of the "Religious Theater Church" is on death row seeking to preserved their stuff. A a lot of folks are tired of religion and are spiritually cold, wet and hungry for some reality with GOD. So Revival starts when some folks gather together and do what Jesus set the example to do and you start with a fresh start. At first you get some smoke and only a tiny fire in the Holy Spirit. But if care is taken not to put too much wet stuff on the fire but mostly dry kindling then soon the fire becomes hot and growing. And as long as the kindling is dry enough to catch on fire then the fire will grow bigger and bigger until it runs out of fuel. Fire has no limit if there is fuel. When really hot, then even big wet logs can be added and the fire will dry them out and catch them on fire as well. Better to burn out than rot out any day....don't you think? Some of the basic issues for enjoying a revival are in learning to work together in a John 17 UNITY in: Love, Faith, Holiness, God's Truth, Humility, Obedience and all that kind of good stuff. The Holy Spirit wants to have a Revival all the time. But HE has a hard time finding souls who are up for the change to allow HIM to work with them to make them like Jesus, 1 John 4:17. Seems not even enough kindling to start a small fire most of the time. So really, Revival is always up to God's people getting into the New Testament and working through the commandments of Christ Jesus in loving unity for real. A friend, in 1955, Bob Newkirk, once told me of a vision that he had. " There was a very big banyan tree in the middle of a large meadow absolutely full of beautiful daises on a beautiful afternoon. Hundreds of people were gathered sitting in a long line around the tree making a lovely daisy chain, it was long and beautifully done. Also there was a road running around the meadow that ran behind the tree with a high volume of traffic in the distance. Only problem was that the bridge was out behind the tree, the cars could not see and so they were all going over the edge into the big canyon below. Once in a while you could hear someone scream and several would get up to go try to stop the traffic but the other folks in the daisy chain would calm them down and get them back to work on the daisy chain." I never forgot this vision and have a picture in my study with the Cross of Christ as a bridge over that canyon. The story sure kicked me in the butt to try to do what I could. He gave me another one also that he had on unity, but for another time. There is but one CHURCH of Christ Jesus and all who love and obey HIM are members. Yours, in HIS great love, Ken<>< www.Trinity-Aloha.org

HONOR

ALOHA FAMILY AND FRIENDS,  Beloved of God,  John 3:16

HONOR, “WORTH CONSIDERING”
5/27/19   (Across my desk this morning,  Memorial Day from Joel.)

Today’s Scripture
“He has declared that he will set you in praise, fame and honor high…”Deuteronomy 26:19, NIV

Sowing Honor
All throughout Scripture, we see that God blesses an attitude of honor. In Exodus, it says that when we honor our parents, we are promised long life. In Proverbs, when we pursue righteousness, we will find life, prosperity and honor. To show honor simply means that you give respect and recognition. There are many ways to show honor to others with your attitude, actions and words. I believe that as we humble ourselves and give honor, we will reap a harvest of honor in our lives in return.

Today, we recognize Memorial Day. It’s a time when we honor all the men and women who have given their lives in service for this country. “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends” (John 15:13, NIV). As we remember what these brave men and women did, let’s honor the gift of freedom they have given us by saying thank you with our actions and choosing to love and honor others. Let’s also honor all those who are serving in our armed forces and their families who have sacrificed so much. We appreciate you, love you and pray for God’s peace, protection and provision over every area of your lives!

A Prayer for Today
“Heavenly Father, thank you for giving your peace, protection and provision for those who are serving in our armed forces and their families who have sacrificed for this country. In Jesus name, amen.”

My thoughts:
An interesting topic today…  Honor is a kind of faith or Reverence.  A type of faith that helps make good changes.  It is seeing, believing and acting as though certain character obvious flaws were not there.   Like a mother with a young son.   When correctly placed, honor- reverence – faith can help change people into what they were created to become.  Often used in movie scripts as we all like to see the bad guy change into being the good guy and have a happy ending.  As a country we are taught in the Holy Scriptures to even have this attitude towards those in authority who have been allowed by GOD to govern.  This would help them to better rule in a good way.

There are a lot of teachings in the New Testament concerning honor.  Jesus taught that those who served HIM and followed HIS example would be honored by HIS HEAVENLY FATHER…  now that’s a big +++.   And Apostle Paul taught that those who changed to become like Jesus would be honored, Rom.2:7  and that we should give honor to whom honor is due and custom to whom custom is due, Rom. 13:7  And to give honor to even the ugly parts of the Body of Christ, 1 Cor.12:24.  And of course honor can be used to manipulate in a negative way, Col.2:23.   As with just about everything GOD has set in place for GOOD, it can and has been counterfeited and used for evil by the enemy.

Honor is also a type of Reverence Faith which is also recommended by Paul as a kind of faith for wives to use to help their husbands grow into the men of God that they have been created to become,  Eph.5:33
Reverence – Honor:

.
deep respect for someone or something:  To revere, respect, admire, think highly of, have a high opinion of, hold in high regard, esteem, hold in (high) esteem, think much of, approve of, appreciate, cherish, value, set (great) store by, prize, treasure, look up to;

worship, pay homage to, venerate, adulate, hold in awe, idolize, put on a pedestal, lionize, hero-worship, honor, love

REALLY WORTH CONSIDERING;   Yours,  in HIS great love,   Ken<><

HOLY SPIRIT

HOLY SPIRIT    5/25/19  ” WORTH CONSIDERING ”

As the Holy Spirit was assigned by Christ Jesus (The Word of God) to gather HIS CHURCH together; knowing about the Holy Spirit is extremely important for all Christians.

The Holy Spirit is possible the least understood of the Trinity of God.   Think of Water, H2O that can be solid (ice) liquid (water) vapor (steam)…   The same element but different purposes.  Trinity,  1 Jn.5:6-8

So the Holy Spirit as per the Bible can be sad, angry, insulted resisted, seal, confirm, empower, miss-represented and make people Holy.  Is.63:10, Mt.12:31, Acts 7:51, Eph.4:30, Heb.10:29..

He also loves, prays, teaches, testifies, communicates and heals as a person: Neh 9:20, Jn 15:26, Ac 13:2, Rom.8:26-27, 15:30, 1 Cor. 12:11.

But HE is also like a wind that can not be seen except for the results and can be everywhere at the same time and in contact with every soul that is truly seeking GOD’s LIGHT.

This is information that every Christian should seek to know.  Much of this can be found at:
https://www.biblestudytools.com/bible-study/topical-studies/who-is-the-holy-spirit-5-things-you-need-to-know.html

So in the ministry of Christ Jesus we have access to the Holy Spirit to help us on our way into the family of GOD.  This is and was the original vision of our Creator in the very beginning to make us into HIS IMAGE and LIKENESS and HE never changes HIS mind.

First, we are drawn to Christ Jesus by the Holy Spirit if we are seeking for TRUTH.  John 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.   The ministry of the Holy Spirit to help us gain truth and faith and become justified.  But unless we also learn to grow in faith we don’t make it.   Luke 8:6,   Heb.10:38  Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. 39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition (hell); but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

And we see here that growing in faith ultimately saves our soul to live with GOD.  So this is the primary ministry of the Holy Spirit.   The ministry to help us get saved from hell by trusting in the finished work of Jesus in dying for the sins of the whole world and becoming Christ Jesus the Word,   God made man for eternity.  The first born of many brethren.  The first of this new kind in the Image and Likeness of GOD as in the original vision of GOD.  So as Apostle Paul teaches us in Romans 10 9-10 when we trust Christ Jesus to be our LORD and truly submit to HIM in our heart and also from the heart believe in the resurrection we begin the walk of the WAY to live with God forever.  This act of faith from the heart to make Christ Jesus Lord and believe in HIS resurrection and victory over death, hell and the grave puts us on the Road of Truth for Eternal Life.  But we start by faith and we walk by faith and as Jesus taught, “He that endures to the end, shall be saved, Matt.10:22, & James 1:12  Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him..

So lets start back with Abraham.  “Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness, Rom. 4:3, James 2:23.  An so as per Heb.11, so when we make Christ Jesus LORD HE also becomes our Savior.  It is not the other way around.  It is not fire insurance, it is in submitting to Christ Jesus as LORD.

Then along came Moses who spent 40 years learning how to be king of Egypt, then 40 years learning how to tend sheep and goats and then 40 years as a prophet of God for the children of Abraham.   And in that last 40 years he was given the design for the Tabernacle in the Wilderness which was also prophetic for us, the Church.   The only door was in the East and had 4 posts and 3 entrances.  Jesus made mention in HIS teachings that HE was the only door to GOD.  So why the three entrances in the same door.  Jesus came as Savior, Priest and King, the 3 primary colors of the rainbow that give us white light.  So Jesus Saves, Seals and Empowers in HIS ministry to and for us.  We are saved, we get baptized to bury Adams bugs and then we are filled with the Holy Spirit for Power to do HIS work on earth.

So the third doorway is Jesus sending the Holy Spirit to empower us and this is what this paper is about.

POWER
We all love super heroes and victory.  So this is a paper on how to become a super hero and to have victory in your life and ministry.   Otherwise you may just be religious and eventually boring.

So as a Baptized, Born from above Christian what do we need to know.

First, as a Christian you can be born from above and still not yet be empowered.  That is why Paul in Acts 19:2 asked the disciples in Ephesus the question: “Have ye received the Holy Ghost (Spirit) since ye believed?”  Paul thought they were Christians but something was wrong?

John 20:19 please noticed that the Disciples of Jesus became “Christians” for the very first time in verse 22 when they received the Holy Ghost (Spirit) but it was another 50 days before they receive the Holy Spirit for Power at Pentecost.  So we see that the Holy Spirit brings us to salvation, seals us as we bury, by faith, the carnal man from Adam in Baptism.  And then the Holy Spirit empowers us for the work that HE would have us do in helping build the Church of Christ Jesus.  By the way, there is but one Church of Christ Jesus and all who LOVE and OBEY HIM are members.

Acts 8:16, Notice that the Samaritan people who were saved under Philip did not receive the Holy Spirit until Peter and John came up to Samaria.

Now let’s turn to the Story of Saul’s conversion to Paul on the road to Damascus.  My feeling is that Saul (the persecutor of Christians) was still deeply moved by what happened to Stephen in his martyrdom of being stoned to death, Acts 7 and was still trying to clear his mind of hypocrisy on the way to Damascus to persecute the Christians that were there..  But along the Road Saul met Jesus and became Paul the Christian.  He confessed Jesus as LORD and believed in the resurrection so at that point in time he became a Christian.  But blinded he was told to find Ananias to be filled with the Holy Ghost (Spirit) Acts.9:17.   So we see three examples of where folks were saved but still trying to do GOD work in their own strength.  And this is why there is such little power of God in the Church today.   Apostle Paul gave this Prophesy in 2 Tim.3:5 that in the later days the church would have a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

FIRE:
OK where do we go from here.   WE are in a rain storm and cold and wet…  We need fire.  Now this is interesting as in Ezek 28:18 the prophet Ezekiel looks into the future in the Holy Spirit and makes this prophesy:…”I (GOD) will bring forth a fire from the midst of thee (lucifer) and it shall devour (destroy) thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold the.”

So we follow the fire along and come to Jesus as recorded by Mattr. 3:11 and Luke 3:16 that Jesus wold baptize (saturate) with the Holy Ghost (Spirit) and with fire.   Luke 12:49 quotes Jesus as saying: “ I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled?”  And following along we come to the beginning of the Church in Acts 2:3 where Luke again records: “And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of the,.  And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost (Spirit) and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.  And Peter reminded them of the prophesy of Joel 2:28 concerning the power that would be released to help save the lost.

Again in Hebrews 1, Apostle Paul mentions us a Ministers of Fire in verse 7….  So we have a full on precedent to be and become together a fire in the LORD.   But you can not build a fire out of wet stuff and in the open in a rain storm.  And it is very difficult to set on fire a soggy church membership.   Better to find a dry spot out in the middle of no where.  gather as much dry stuff together as is available and start from scratch.  If the fire gets really hot then those cold and wet will come to get warm and dried out.  But don’t be kicking out the spokes of the other guys stuff as our LORD taught, “They that gather with us are not against us.”  There are many factors needed in the building of an Acts 29 Church.  Love of course is the core…  Not enough love and you can not resolve the divisions.  And to agree to disagree will not work at all for a John 17 Unity.  And after Love comes GOD’s TRUTH to set us free.  It is Unity in God’s Truth in obedience and humility that allows us to build a basket.  And when the basket is ready then the gifts of the Holy Spirit will saturate the ministry and turn that whole ministry into a very hot fire.

It is possible to infiltrate an old line denominational church and catch in on fire.  I watched Dennis Bennet do that in Houston Texas with the Holy Spirit to a really old Episcopal Church in the heart of the city that was nearly dried up.  But it is very difficult.  Personally, for me, I have had better results in starting from ground zero in the middle of no where in the Early type of a House Church.  Search the word “house” from Acts to Rev.  it is an interesting study.  Starting from Acts 2:2, 5:42, 10:22, 12:12, 16:34, 16:40, 17:5, 18:7, 18:18, 20:20, 21:8, 28:30….  Not one mention of a building called a church any where in the New Testament.  The CHURCH was always the people and they were gathering in personal homes.  And it seems to me that the ministers and elders were always self supporting.  So gifts and offerings were given to help the poor and to support evangelism .  Study for next Friday so please check it all out real good….

WINNER:      “WORTH CONSIDERING”    5/22/19        (Across my desk today from Joel.)

Today’s Scripture
“Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ…”(2 Corinthians 2:14, NKJV)

Plan for a Comeback
God promises to always lead us into victory! That means no matter what you are facing, no matter what’s going on in the world around you, no matter what anybody says, you should always be planning for a comeback! In the middle of that adversity or tough time, start making your list of who you’re going to invite to your victory celebration. You don’t have to wait for everything to be perfect before you decide to celebrate what God is going to do in your life. Put some action behind your faith. That means if you’re in the hospital, start planning what you’re going to do when you get out. If you lost some money when the stock market went down, start planning your coming-out-of-debt party. When things don’t look good in the natural, remember, we serve a supernatural God. With God leading you into victory, you can always plan for increase. You can plan for restoration. You can plan for a comeback that will make you stronger and better than you ever were before!

A Prayer for Today
“Heavenly Father, I give You thanks and praise today for the promise of victory. Give me Your vision for the future so that I can move confidently into the abundant life You have for me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.”

My Thoughts:
We all love winners and we always try to be one…. but the key in the verse above is the word “leads.”

For us to get into a space where we can be led has to be supernatural.   We are born goats with the nature of grand daddy Adam.  Ever owned goats?  It is a trip… especially a billy.  Obedience is no where to be found in their understanding or genes.  I could write a full book on this one from my own personal experience.  I called him B-B/Q to gently try to train him in obedience,  it did not work.   In the end the LORD sorts the sheep from the goats….????

Being led by GOD means a major dose of faith, trust, humility and obedience.   Some folks take longer than others but seems for most a life time experience to put on Christ Jesus in obedience in every area of our lives.  And that is exactly what Christ Jesus came to do.   He came to save us,  make us a new creation in HIM,  help us put our Adamic flesh nature to death and be totally filled with the Holy Spirit from top to bottom.  Then we get to boot lucifer out of the heavens and rule with HIM on earth for a 1,000 years and then we get to live with our Loving Creator for all eternity.  Lots of scriptures in this, can you find them?

I wrote a paper on this called,  “The Return of the King”  About 11 pages,  want a copy, let me know.

Did you know that when you give to others in need, the Bible says it’s like giving directly to God Himself? When you step out and bless other people, you are honoring and blessing the Lord. The Scripture tells us to give our best, to give generously. In other words, stretch yourself. Go out of your way. It may be uncomfortable to walk over and pay for someone’s gas, but that’s being generous.

I encourage you today, look for ways to give generously and meet the needs of others. You can’t help everyone, but you can help someone. You can be the answer to someone’s prayers. Remember, people have many different types of needs. There may be someone who needs some encouragement. Give generously when you give that encouragement. There may be someone in your life that just needs a friend; they need some quality time. Give generously of your time and pour into that person. As you give generously to others, God will multiply those seeds in your own life in return!

A Prayer for Today
“Heavenly Father, today I am releasing every negative thing that has happened to me. I’m forgiving every person who has hurt me. I’m forgiving myself for mistakes I’ve made and releasing every disappointment so that I can live in Your peace and victory. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.”

My Thoughts:
This topic really needs some serious consideration.   So lets start with the concept that the Church of Christ Jesus began after HIS resurrection when the apostles were gathered in the Upper Room recorded in John 20:21-29.  This is when the Apostles became Born from Above, Christians as per Rom. 10:9-10.  And after 50 days the one and only Church of Christ Jesus was started by the Holy Spirit on Pentecost.  So this was the official beginning of the New Testament or the New Will as per the book of Hebrews.

So any teaching for giving must come from the New Testament.  I have yet to find some one who can confirm tithing out of the teachings for the Church in the New Testament?   When I came to Christ Jesus for salvation in 1955 HE required for me to make HIM 100% Lord not 10%….  We have been taught the concept that we give God 10% and we get to do what we want to with the remaining 90%…  That is not a New Testament principle.  Christ Jesus is LORD of all or not LORD at all.  Salvation belongs to the faithful who make Christ Jesus LORD of all.  The New Testament teaches that if any soul be in Christ that they are a new creation.  It is a life changing event. Many try to make Christ Jesus only Savior like buying fire insurance and it does not work.

Rom.7:6 teaches us,  But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.  The New Testament teaches that what we sow we reap.  So it then giving becomes a matter of how big is your faith.   It also teaches this in 2 Cor.9: “But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.  7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

So don’t allow anyone to manipulate you back under the Old Testament law,  that was fulfilled in the resurrection of Christ Jesus.  Now we walk by faith in the freedom that Christ Jesus has given us in our hearts.  So give as there is a loving Godly vision and joy in doing so.  Not one word in the New Testament about building anything or being tied to a maintenance program or supporting pastors/elders/bishops/overseers.  In the Early Church gifts and offerings went to help with evangelism and to feed the poor.  The Churches were in the homes.

Much more in the New Testament about this Freedom in GIVING but up to you.

Yours, in HIS great love and wonderful grace and mercy,   Ken<><

VICTORY,   “WORTH CONSIDERING”
5/20/19,    (on my computer this morning from Joel.)

Today’s Scripture
“For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.”  (1 John 5:4, NIV)

The Word That Leads To Victory
When trials and tribulations come, as children of the Most High God, we can take courage. We have a promise that we can overcome anything that tries to come against us in this life through our faith in God. When the enemy tries to come against you with sickness, despair or lack, you can stand secure and know that God promises healing, hope and provision. God promises you victory in every area of life! God created us to be the victor, not the victim!  Don’t let your world overcome you; overcome your world by believing and confessing God’s Word today!

A Prayer for Today
“God, I sometimes feel overwhelmed by the problems and pressures of this world. Help me to instead focus on You and the plan You have for me. I pray that You help me stand secure in my faith and proclaim myself to be a conqueror-victorious in every area of life! In Jesus’ name – Amen.”

My Thoughts:
I grew up in the faith for 13 years as a Calvinist Baptist.   And there are a lot of scriptures that I had to ignore.  As in Rev.2:25-27 and 1 John 4:17 which with many other verses indicate that the Victory starts with our Salvation but we must also walk it out as per James 2:17-18 and the whole James letter.  So for me Christ Jesus paid my debts off in full and gave me a new life but that new life still needs the process of growth in the Holy Spirit of Sanctification.  God’s plan is to ultimately make me into HIS Image and likeness, which was the original vision of God to create a family like Him.   So the process of sanctification, to make Holy, in this physical world is valid and real.  Jesus, in both the form of prayer and in his prayer, John 17 prays for this to take place and it will.  When the CHURCH goes home she will be a perfect match for the King of Kings.

The only thing I have to offer to God is my faith and the desire to allow it to grow in my own life.   Job is an example.  It was recorded that he was a perfect man except for the flaw of fear.   It took a lot of pain for Job to dump the fear but in the end he was twice blessed and with no fear….  Sure, we have a standing with God by faith in Christ Jesus as LORD in our lives that lets us in the front door.  But to grow up in Christ and put on Christ, really,  is a process of leaning to walk in love,  humility and obedience.   In the ultimate family of GOD there will be no future place for unrighteousness, rebellion or pride.     So we are saved,  we are being saved and we shall be saved “if,” as Jesus taught, “If”we endure to the end.

So in the writing of the New Testament we find a lot of “conditional scriptures.” You know the little “If’s” that we find everywhere.   Jesus taught that,  “He that endures to the end shall be saved.”  And so did Paul. I know that we are living in Roman’s 8 and we have the victory, but that is ” if “ we want it and have faith for it and apply it.  As long as our faith is strong then my old man is considered or reckoned by faith to be dead.   And in the resurrection he will be completely removed.  Just as if Adam had never sinned.

But zombie that he is, Mr. Hide, my flesh  will jump out of his casket and come out again and dance with me anytime he can if I let him.    Anytime that my faith gets weak from not being fed on the Word of God.  So we actually stand completely by Faith but we can be broken off as was Israel if unbelief is allowed to flourish.  Romans 11:14-23,  Heb. 11.

So we need to hold in high esteem though the salvation that was and is a finished work of Christ Jesus.  And HE is also pulling for us that our faith will grow by saturating ourselves as HE also did with the Word of God.   We must seek continually to ingest HIM till all of us is under HIS Lordship.  1 John 4:17.  It is a full on battle with the world, the flesh and the enemy till we see HIM.  And it is accomplished in and through HIM by faith and the commitment of our free will.

Every day for me is a dying day to the lust of the eyes, flesh and pride of this world.  Paul mentioned also that he died daily.  Each day is a choice for HIS Kingdom or mine in what I do.  Whosoever will make come and drink of the waters of life freely.  With God there is no manipulation.  But HE will assist us and give us power, grace and mercy if we want to be like HIM and live with HIM.

APOSTLES,   “WORTH CONSIDERING”   5/23/19   (Across my desk today and greatly needed.)
RECLAIMING Genuine APOSTOLIC ANOINTING      by J. Lee Grady

The Bible tells us there are both true and false apostles. Let's learn to discern the difference. For many years traditional denominations taught that the ministry of the apostle passed away after the New Testament era. It was assumed that the only people who served in apostolic roles were early followers of Jesus who witnessed His resurrection. Cessationists (those who believe that miracles stopped after the canon of Scripture was completed) believe that healing, deliverance, prophecy and all other supernatural phenomena ceased and that apostles are no longer necessary. But as Christians in recent years began to experience the supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit, church leaders and even some theologians began to teach that the gift of apostle is vital if we hope to advance the gospel in our generation. The logic makes sense: If we still need pastors, teachers and evangelists (all part of Jesus' five-fold ministry mentioned in Ephesians 4:11), we also need the apostles and prophets who are listed in the same passage. The Bible never says these functions were discontinued. During the 1990s there was a renewed interest in the ministry of the apostle. Many books were written on the topic, explaining that the Greek word apostolos refers to God's special ambassadors, or "sent ones," who are commissioned to contend for pure doctrine, preserve unity among the saints, equip leaders, model Christian character and help the church advance into new territory. But a strange thing happened on the way to recovering genuine apostolic anointing. In true American fashion we began to merchandise it. No sooner had the first book on apostles been written that some men began to claim the title and print it on their business cards. Apostleship became a fad. Before too long, some men were creating networks of independent churches answerable to a governing apostle who took ownership of their buildings and controlled their congregations. Some charismatic apostles became mini-popes who carved out their fiefdoms. Suddenly the independent charismatic movement had more invasive authoritarianism than the denominations these pastors abandoned 10 years earlier. In some circles apostles demanded total allegiance from the leaders who were "under" them. Some required a policy of "tithing up," creating a monstrous organizational structure similar to a spiritual Amway. So-called apostles with huge "downlines" made exorbitant amounts of money. One leader even offered pastors the opportunity to become "spiritual sons" by contributing $1,000 a month to his ministry. Apostolic covering could now be bought. And apostolic grace was reduced to the level of a motivational coach. May God forgive us for reducing the value of such a precious gift. I still believe we need the apostolic anointing-and I know many wonderful apostles who have planted churches in many parts of the world. As I have watched them, and studied the life of the apostle Paul, I've seen three key truths we must reclaim today: 1. True apostles are servants. Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 12:28: "And God has appointed in the church, first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, various kinds of tongues" (NASB, emphasis added). When carnally minded people read this verse they assume God has set up some kind of ecclesiastical hierarchy, with apostles sitting on thrones at the top. But if we view leadership in the way Jesus taught it, we know that being first is not about being on top. Apostles are at the bottom of the pecking order. They are the servants of all. And because they serve a foundational role, their work will often remain hidden in obscurity. They are not looking for fame or celebrity, nor are they grasping for a title; their role is to empower everyone else. 2. True apostles are unselfish. I know one apostle in India who goes by the name of Pastor Howell. He has planted 600 churches in the Punjab region, trained countless young church leaders in a makeshift Bible school and led thousands of people to Christ. He has also seen whole villages impacted by the gospel through one miracle of healing. He has never ridden in a limousine and he lives in a modest home with a straw roof that he shares with about 12 Bible college students. The apostle Paul would have gagged if he could see how some modern American apostles profit from their downlines or how they require pampered treatment. Apostleship has nothing to do with privilege. In fact Paul sometimes made tents for a living in order to avoid the appearance of entitlement. 3. True apostles share Christ's suffering. True apostles live on the edge. They push the boundaries of Christianity forward, into hostile territory-and as a result they encounter more than their fair share of persecution and spiritual warfare. They are never content to live in a comfort zone. Yet even in foreign prisons they find joy and fulfillment. One of my new heroes is a Nigerian pastor named Tunde Bolanta, who bases his ministry in the dangerous northern area of his country. I spent time with him last month when I was visiting England. He lives in a city where Muslims have killed pastors, maimed Christians with machetes and drowned their children in wells. For Tunde, apostleship is not about getting the best seat on a plane or having the largest TV audience. It is about teaching his congregation to remain faithful to Christ even when receiving death threats. And it is about sending his church members into difficult regions where they could face martyrdom. As our nation faces a turbulent economic crisis, I pray that we will allow the Holy Spirit to shake the greed, pride and self-centeredness out of our movement. False apostles prefer the primrose path over the Calvary road. May God grant us true apostolic anointing that is marked by New Testament courage, unquestionable integrity and Christ-like humility. -J. Lee Grady.
