WORDS,    “WORTH CONSIDERING”    7/23/19    (Across my desk this morning)

Today’s Scripture
Worry weighs a person down; an encouraging word cheers a person up.”  (Proverbs 12:25, NLT)

Let the Encouragement Flow
When you see someone who is struggling, a coworker who is discouraged, a friend who is not up to par, how do you respond? Our words can be what keeps a person going; our compliments can put a spring back into their step. Now more than ever, we need to automatically let the encouragement flow. We need to tell others how much we love them, how we value them, and tell them that they are talented and creative. Always remember, with your words you carry life-giving water. You carry hope, healing, encouragement and new beginnings, and you can pour it out everywhere you go. Today, choose to speak encouragement. Choose to speak victory and faith into others’ lives. Instead of telling people what they’re doing wrong, instead of pointing out all their faults, find what they are doing right. Focus on the good. There are already enough critical, judgmental people in the world. Let’s be people who lift up others and restore them. Let’s be the light of Jesus in the world.

A Prayer for Today
“Father God, thank You for speaking through me. Thank You for using me to be a blessing to others. Thank You for encouraging my heart as I find ways to encourage the people around me. I love You and bless Your holy Name. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.”

My Thoughts:
Of course,  God does not include lying in the encouragement nor the bearing a false witness.  Some folks always seem to be a crowd of witnesses when the speak,  that does not work either.  It is very interesting as to how much is said about WORDS in the Holy Scripture.  Even one of the names of GOD in the Trinity is “The Word of God.”  So let take time and review a few of the scriptures concerning WORDS.   In Proverbs 18:21 we are reminded:  Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life].   James in 3:4-6 puts it this way:    4 Likewise, look at the ships: though they are so great and are driven by rough winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the impulse of the helmsman determines.5 Even so the tongue is a little member, and it can boast of great things. See how much wood or how great a forest a tiny spark can set ablaze!6 And the tongue is a fire. [The tongue is a] world of wickedness set among our members, contaminating and depraving the whole body and setting on fire the wheel of birth (the cycle of man’s nature), being itself ignited by hell (Gehenna).

So we get the picture that in the beginning.  In the creation what we say was to be like what the “Word of God” would say or as Jesus would say.   But in the Adamic rebellion, perversion change that to evil.  And then Jesus came to help us be restored to our original design plan and we need to learn to become in the image and likeness of God again.  So it does not mean that we can not judge righteous judgment but that in that righteous judgment we should lean into the Holy Spirit to speak the truth in love.  To speak for edification, exhortion and comfort as St. Paul encourages us to in 1 Cor.14:3.    And of course there are times that we can be anointed to speak with rebuke, reproof and exhortation as  St. Paul instructs Timothy in 2 Tim.4:2 but of course also with love and to help a soul gain the light of GOD.  Here again it must be in the Holy Spirit to be positive.  Paul also tell Timothy:  “As for those who are guilty and persist in sin, rebuke and admonish them in the presence of all, so that the rest may be warned and stand in wholesome awe and fear.”  This is not easy to do as we must be sure to be totally doing what the Holy Spirit is guiding us to do and not be on a personal vendetta.

So the big issue is to learn to bring our tongue and what we say, totally under the control of the Holy Spirit and to Christ Jesus as LORD.  That we do not allow our old nature and carnal man access to our tongue at all for any negative purposes.  I lost 1/2 of my vocabulary when I became a Christian in 1955.  Fully 1/2 of my vocabulary was profanity from the Army.  I had to learn to talk all over again.   Now I am learning to take control of my attitudes in talking and also concerning foolish jesting.  That I quit using stories to elevate myself or to put someone in “their place.”  That I quit confessing what I see,  that I learn to confess my faith with my tongue as to what God anoints and directs me to do.

Like James teaches,  the tongue is the most difficult of our members to bring under control.  Seems that may be why a new prayer language is usually the first evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit for power for a Christian.  Special Power is given to the obedient in the 9 gifts of the Spirit to accomplish the work of faith that the Holy Spirit has assigned us to do.  Christ Jesus said,  “The Things that I do ye shall do and greater things than these shall you do because I go to My Father.”  John 14:12…  We are in a learning curve to learn how to do just that,  if we will allow it.

SOURCE,   “WORTH CONSIDERING”   7/22/19    (Across my desk this morning and really worth considering.)

Today’s Scripture
It is written: “I believed; therefore I have spoken.” Since we have that same spirit of faith, we also believe and therefore speak.”   (2 Corinthians 4:13, NIV)

Believe and Declare
I know a man who was believing to pay his house off. It was a standard thirty-year mortgage, and he had twenty-three years left. In the natural, there was no way he could do it. But he was bold enough to say, “Father, thank You that You are Jehovah Jireh; the Lord my provider. I know that my job is not my source. You are my source. It may look impossible, but I know You can do the impossible.” Several years later, he received an inheritance from a family member whom he had never met before. He didn’t even know they were related. He was able to not only pay his house off, but he paid a friend’s house off as well. What was that? Explosive blessings

Friend, when you believe God, you position yourself for a miracle. When you obey His commands, you set yourself under the open windows of heaven. When you declare His Word, you activate His power. Keep standing, keep believing, keep speaking and see the victory and blessing He has in store for you!

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for Your Word which is alive and powerful! I set my mind on Your promises and choose to declare what You say about me. Thank You for Your faithfulness as I move forward in the good plan You have for me in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

My Comments:
This is so true,  we tend to limit what God can do but placing our faith on what we know or can see. Some times family members see the eldest as their source and simply wait for an inheritance.   Or a wife may be pushing her husband to make sure she is financially OK if he dies first.   Even seeing the Company or Boss as your source creates negative undercurrents.  This undercurrent  of unbelief misses the abundance that GOD has promised us if we see HIM as our source and please HIM with the way that we live our lives on earth.    

In Matt.6:32 Jesus teaches us:   (For after all hese things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.  33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.  34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. )

And Apostle Paul teaches us in Hebrews 11:  Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

And Apostle John taught in 1 John 3:21-23:   Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.  22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.  23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.

So the bottom line is IF we live in humility and obedience to all that we know to do that is right before God then we can get out of the boat and walk on the water with Jesus in securing those things that are needed for us to help HIM in the building of HIS kingdom on earth.  In 1971 I purchased a small piece of land that no one wanted through the Holy Spirit for very little ignoring the problems.  The Holy Spirit told me not to borrow any money to build although I had very little cash money left.  By 1991 it had become a nice 7 bedroom  B&B supernaturally with no interest paid.  In 2017 it was supernaturally sold to loving Christians allowing me to be retired and serve the LORD 24/7.    At 86, I now live in a lovely home in Kealia,  South Captain Cook and by faith have started a House Church.  And this all was made possible by faith.  In the natural none of this could have happened.  When I bought that little lot it was on the side of a 40′ hillside,  full of easements and full of 14′ cane grass.  You could not walk on the land and it deeply flooded every time there was a heavy rain.  All of that went away in the next 20 years, supernaturally.  So it is much much better to be looking towards our heavenly father as our source than the world or each other.  And be sure that your friends and family will think you are nuts.

Saint James  in 1:2-4 puts it this way:  2 Consider it wholly joyful, my brethren, whenever you are enveloped in or encounter trials of any sort or fall into various temptations.  3 Be assured and understand that the trial and proving of your faith bring out endurance and steadfastness and patience.  4 But let endurance and steadfastness and patience have full play and do a thorough work, so that you may be [a people] perfectly and fully developed [with no defects], lacking in nothing.

OBEDIENCE

OBEDIENCE,    “WORTH CONSIDERING”    7/19/19,   (Across my desk this morning,  really important.)

Today’s Scripture
The path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day.” (Proverbs 4:18, ESV)

The Gracious Hand of God
No matter what is happening in your life today, you have a reason to be excited about your future! If things seem dark right now, know that the dawn will soon appear. The key is to remember that you are not here by accident. You have a purpose and destiny from God to fulfill, and He’s not finished with you yet. Your best days are not behind you; your best days are out in front of you. God is a God of increase. He has greater things in store for your future than you have experienced in your past. His dream for your future is so much bigger than your own. He wants to take you places you’ve never dreamed and open doors you’ve never imagined. He wants to bring talent out of you that you didn’t know you had. He wants to increase you and cause you to be a greater blessing to the people around you. Today, get your hopes up and get excited about your future! Begin to thank Him for what He has in store. Keep standing, keep believing and keep moving forward because God has explosive blessings in store for you!

A Prayer for Today
“Heavenly Father, I humbly come to You giving You all that I am. I trust that You have good things in store for my future. I choose to keep my eyes on You no matter what’s happening in my circumstances. I know that You are faithful, and I receive the blessings that You have in store for me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.”

My Thoughts:
There is that nasty word righteousness/obedience again…  But Righteousness and Obedience are the same.   God has designed and is creating a Kingdom of Righteousness which will be filled only with obedient souls.   We tend to hate to think of obedience in a positive light.  We tend to be such a disobedient people even from birth.  So to bite the bullet, so to say,  to learn to become righteous we must also LEARN to become obedient.  We are made righteous but the blood of Christ Jesus so that we may learn to become obedient. 

So if you are not in an obedience learning school where you are being taught to become obedient you are missing out.  Even Jesus had to learn to be obedient,  Heb.5:8-9.   In fact, only those who learn obedience are allowed to go on into the Kingdom of God.    God our creator is not going to allow Adam’s disobedience to contaminate the universe.  So our Creator has us now in a life school to learn obedience.  But if we have taken a detour to avoid learning obedience we will end in the midst of eternal total darkness for eternity.  Our obedience school is basically the charge of the Holy Spirit at the present time.  But HIS ministry is also assigned and commissioned to the “Elders” to help HIM.   So basically we lean obedience through the Holy Spirit, the Church of Christ Jesus or the law of sowing and reaping.   Husbands and Wives are seen as a single unit by God with the husband having the last say.  Children are to be in obedience to the parents.   The Church of Christ Jesus is to be obedient to the Holy Spirit as the Holy Spirit is to Christ Jesus and as Christ Jesus is to the Heavenly Father.   Of course this is the reverse of the top down dictator system.  God’s school of authority is a school of souls wanting to learn how to become obedient.  Paul puts it this way,  2 Cor. 10:6:  “And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.”  So it would seem that for us to learn obedience in our life time is very important. So here are some more Bible verses on the subject:
 

Romans 6:16
Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

2 Thessalonians 3:14
And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.

Hebrews 5:9
And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

So it is not in making Christ Jesus, Savior that brings us into GOD’s Kingdom at the end of our lives but in making Christ Jesus LORD and embracing our own school of learning obedience that we find ourselves in.  So if you are not presently in a school of the Holy Spirit learning obedience then you need to find one.  And your old Adamic nature will totally hate the idea.

Matt. 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.  22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.  24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:  25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.  26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.  28 And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:

He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.  John 14:21

IF YOU GOT ARRESTED AS A CHRISTIAN, WOULD THERE BE ENOUGH EVIDENCE TO CONVICT YOU?

 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.  11 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?  12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?  13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?  Luke 11:10-13….  John 3:16-21,  John 8   Good Study…

DREAMS & VISIONS

DREAMS & VISIONS,   “WORTH CONSIDERING”   7/18/19,   (Across my desk this morning.)

Today’s Scripture
His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life…”(2 Peter 1:3, NIV)

It is Finished
It’s easy to get stuck in life thinking you’ve reached your limits. But God wouldn’t have given you a dream without giving you the ability to accomplish it. You have everything you need. Many times the problem is that it’s buried inside. It’s hidden treasure. You have gifts and talents that you’ve not tapped into yet. There is potential that is waiting to be released. When God laid out the plan for your life, He deposited in you the skill, the wisdom, the creativity; everything you need to fulfill your destiny. Now here’s the key: it’s not what you have in you that matters; it’s what you get out. If you’re going to reach your highest potential, you have to tap into that hidden treasure. Now the challenge is, “don’t die with the treasure still on the inside.” You have something to offer this world that nobody else can offer. You are unique, one of a kind. You are anointed to be you. Be confident in who God made you to be, knowing that you have what it takes to step into the fullness of your destiny.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for Your faithfulness in my life. I thank You that You will complete what You’ve started in my life. Today I choose to put my trust in You knowing that a shift is coming. I declare that Your will be done in every area of my life in Jesus’ name! Amen!”

My Comments:
The first thoughts that come to mind go back to Proverbs:  18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.  In other words,  our vision or lack of vision controls our action but four vision also must include the Truth  of God, for us,  as found in the New Testament. 

When I was a kid in school in the 1st grade I found that I was rather good looking and that the girls were very interested.  I made friends with two twin blond curly haired girls that were beautiful and remember walking around at recess holding hands with both.  Their boy admirers took offense and beat me up.  And then,  worse, all the kids began to call me “cannot” rather that Kenneth.  That drastically effected my feelings about myself and rather turned me into an introvert.  We have all had situations like that.  I even see it in marriages today where one spouse tries to keep the other in tow and under control with condemnation.  Never a positive word less they should get out from under control and become dangerous to the status quo. 

But the LORD is not like that.  His vision for us to to help us to become like Jesus.  The word is “like” not the “same as.”  We are all unique and designed for different purposes.  If we find out from the HOLY SPIRIT what we were designed for and get HIS vision firmly in our heart, we will be happy campers.  And if we find the right life partner with the same vision it makes us 5 times stronger than only being by ourselves.

So how do we get to where our vision is alive and from God from where we are now.  It is simple,  it is through child like humility and obedience in ingesting the Word of God and allowing the authority that GOD has blessed to assist us.  Godly authority truly watches for our souls to be found in Christ Jesus and connected to HIM.  God Authority is into Kingdom Building and not Empire Building.   It is simple but not easy.  Our Adamic nature does not die easily.   It take a good strong vision from God and the power of the Holy Spirit to be able to take our Adamic lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and pride of life and throw them into a casket and nail the lid shut.  Of course, in the resurrection, this Adamic nature will finally and totally be separated from us to never rule over us again,  ever.  Romans 6 –  8  …  But for our life time, it is a daily battle and an exercise of our freewill.  And only with a strong vision for HIS KINGDOM come, can we make it.  “What does not kill you, only makes you stronger.”  The Church that is finally “Raptured” will be powerful.  Rev. 12:11….  and a perfect match for Christ Jesus as LORD.

PROPHESY

Aloha Dear Saints of God, 
I Received the following in my mail this morning and thought that Friday evaning we might spend some time on Biblical Prophesy,  (Eschatology)  if that would be of interest to you.  Of course we are open to any and all questions at any time.   Frankly,  from GOD’s point of view I believe we may  still a separate Kingdom that is occupied.  If true, this prophesy may not include Hawaii.  But we still need a very strong Holy Spirit Revival of Righteousness in Hawaii to avoid a major judgment.   Puna may just be a foretaste of what is ahead if we do not wise up and become Spiritually sensitive.  “The Life of the Land is Perpetuated in Righteousness.”   is a very valid observation by the former Alii of Hawaii.

Learning what happened in 1819 is a must.   Hawaii is the uttermost part of the earth from Jerusalem.

FALL OF BABYLON – a VISION 

by Darren Smith (1 Jun 09).    The Lord kept me up most of the night bringing a word for me to   share and to share now. Many times I wait until I have prayed over   what I hear in my spirit, but I can't wait to send this word out.            Last night while praying before I went to bed, The Lord gave me a   vision that really rattled me. In the vision I saw this land split into   four parts with each one under its own flag. Each region had terrible  destruction and many people were dead. As I looked over the   destruction I was crying and the Lord asked me, "Why are you   crying over the fall of Babylon? As a matter of fact, why have you   been praying for the healing of Babylon?"    In this vision I didn't have an answer and the Lord opened a scroll   and started reading off the indictments against our country, but   before each one he clearly called the USA Babylon.            The list was long and to the point, with such points as the killing   of several generations of unborn children. Beside this charge He   added that these babies had been sacrificed to the god of self. The   list also included greed, idolatry, pride, fornication, and many others,   so many I could not even read them all.       As I looked at the list of charges I was overwhelmed and broken   by the fact that we live every day in a nation that is so far removed   from God and in total opposition to the Kingdom of God, yet we are   comfortable here. We have become just like Lot living in Sodom,   the prosperity that the nation offers us has blinded us from the evil   that rules this land. We complain about how bad it is but still stay  attached to it with every ounce of strength we have.            The Lord told me to look at the nation as He sees it, not through   my eyes but through His. I could not look too long before I had to   agree and repent of loving Babylon. Once I repented the Lord told   me to prepare for the fall as time is running out. I must preach the   Gospel of The Kingdom not the Gospel of America...     Civil unrest will become common place in large cities first but will   spill over into the rural areas as well... Natural disasters will stretch   the resources of the nation to the breaking point and the government   will use this to take freedom away...     In this vision there was a great wasteland that appeared to be in   the center of the nation where everything was wiped out and I saw   masses of people wandering without direction. They were dirty and   ragged, almost dead and there was no relief in sight.  Most of you   reading this think I'm crazy I'm sure, but I must be faithful to share   what I'm given to share.            The Lord told me to cry from the mountain tops to repent and seek   the Lord now!! We don't have any more time to seek after the things   of this world... We must stop living like we have all the time in the   world. GOODNESS

GOODNESS,    “WORTH CONSIDERING”    (Across my desk this morning.)

Today’s Scripture
…He sends forth [rains], and they overwhelm the land or transform it.” (Job 12:15, AMPC)

A Flood is Coming
Sometimes on the news, the weatherperson will announce that we’re under a Flash Flood Warning. That means conditions are ripe for possible flooding. Water could get out of its normal boundaries. It could overflow and increase in such a way that drainage and bayous are overwhelmed. Just like that weather person, I’m here to announce that you’re under a Flash Flood Warning today. Conditions are just right. You’ve honored God. You’ve been faithful. You’ve passed the test. Now God is saying, “There’s about to be a flood of My goodness, a flood of new opportunity, a flood of healing, a flood of goodness that breaks to where you are overwhelmed with My favor. It’s beyond your expectations. It puts you into overflow.” Today, get ready! Get your expectancy up. Be on the lookout for His goodness because a flood of favor is coming your way. When God opens up the floodgates of His divine power, nothing can stop it!

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for flooding me with Your goodness, favor and mercy. I set my heart and mind on You today, and I’m ready to receive every blessing You have in store for me in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

My Thoughts:
We all like to be blessed like at a birthday or Christmas when we were young.   And still today I get blessed when the LORD sets the signals so I pass through without stopping.  One  time I went through 9 green lights in a row with all my turns.  Or I get the #1 parking spot right in front of the store.  I especially hate strife and stress so it is a great day when peace prevails and the tools I need are easy to find.   

So how do we enter in to the blessed space with GOD?   We enter in by finding and keeping HIS commandments which are given for our blessings.  Really,  GOD,  wants to bless us.  Paul puts it this way in Rom.8 32   He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?  33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth.  34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.  35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?  36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.  37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.  38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Reading the chapters of Romans 6, 7 & 8,  would be a good idea if needing a blessing today.  You see the choice is ours.  If we really ingest Rom. 8:10-14 we will find the “Keys To The Kingdom”10   And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.  11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.  12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.  13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify ( put to death) the deeds of the body, ye shall live.  14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

So GOD especially blesses those who walk with HIM through the HOLY SPIRIT.   And this is totally different than walking in the lusts of the flesh, lust of the eyes and pride of life that is normal in this world.  Our life time is a time of testing as to where we really want to live for eternity.  If we choose to live in GOD’s Kingdom of Light and Righteousness there is Blessing.   If we choose to honor this world’s system with it’s wants, desires and lies there is poverty of spirit and ultimately a rejection by GOD and the loss of living with HIM and all that HE has created. 

Soon the testing will be complete and all of God’s Elect will have been gathered.  Then the earth will be totally cursed and trashed for 7 years for rejecting GOD’s Salvation in Christ Jesus.  After this clean up all of the promises that GOD gave to Abraham will come to pass for a 1,000 years.  Then will come a brand new heaven and earth of righteousness.  I like the Hawaiian motto of the kings,  “The Life Of The Land is Perpetuated In Righteousness.”

So want to be blessed,  Seek GOD and find out what HE has designed for you to be and do and do it with all your heart.

“There is but one Church (people) of Christ Jesus and all who love and obey HIM are members.”

STRENGTH & JOY

STRENGTH & JOY,   “WORTH CONSIDERING”   7/16/19,  (Across my desk this morning.)

Today’s Scripture
Honor and majesty are [found] in His presence; strength and joy are [found] in His sanctuary.”
(1 Chronicles 16:27, AMPC)

Where Strength and Joy are Found
Do you need more strength and joy in your life? The Scripture tells us that in God’s presence there is fullness of joy, fullness of peace, fullness of victory—the most abundant and complete! That’s where you’re refreshed and restored. And when you have His joy, you have His supernatural strength. There’s nothing that can come against you when you are filled with the strength and joy of the Lord. Notice this verse says that strength and joy are found in His sanctuary. One translation says they are found “where He is.” And do you know “where He is?” His Spirit is alive in every believer, and in His Word, He promises that He inhabits, or manifests, in the praises of His people. That means when you begin to praise and worship God, either corporately in a church setting or privately in your personal time, God is there. You are in His sanctuary. Anytime you feel depleted or overwhelmed, just begin to sing a song of praise to Him. Declare His goodness and faithfulness. Draw near to Him, and He will draw near to you. He’ll fill you with His joy and strength so that you can live as an overcomer all the days of your life!

A Prayer for Today
“Father, I bless You today. I thank You for Your goodness in my life. Thank You for filling me with Your strength and joy. I praise and worship You today in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

My Thoughts:
There are a lot of verses in the Bible concerning Joy,  seems the LORD want to teach us to be full of JOY.
Paul say’s it this way:  10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;  11 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;  12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:  Col.1: 

So Joy is connected to obedience, bearing fruit and learning the Word of God…  Then we can overcome with a Romans 8 victory enjoy God’s invitation to go to heaven as saints in light….  Nehemiah put it this way:  ” Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” chapter 8.  So it would seem that the LORD wants us to be happy and share what HE give us.  Matthew writes that the LORD want’s to be able to say to you at the judgment,  “…Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy LORD.  25:21.

So what the problem?  Why are most of us so unhappy?  Seems to me that we miss the Joy of the LORD because the enemy ties our shoe strings together with a bunch of his lies and we believe them and trip all over ourselves.  Think about it.  How much time to we spend in getting things and protecting things that we really don’t need.   We truly have a serious problem in knowing the difference between needs and wants don’t we?   And we get excited about going and doing and return home to wonder why in the world we did that.  Like waking up from a night’s binge to wonder where the money went and what we did with the time.  Or to think we we were the life of a party when really our conversation was only about elevating ourselves with many I’s. 

It is past time to realize that the enemy’s lies steal our Joy which is our strength.  It is time to sort the lies from God’s Truth.  To stop being fearful of missing out on the lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and pride of life that passes away.  Paul writes to Timothy,  “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.  2 Tim.1:7.  We need to hang 10,  take 5 and sit down and figure it out.  We need to toss those time stealers that give us no return in the Eternal Kingdom of God.  We need to find out what God says about things rather than making things up and saying GOD said it,
when HE didn’t.   Isaiah 28:5-20 is a good selection of Scripture to see how this works out.

STRIFE

STRIFE,      “WORTH CONSIDERING”    7/15/19,   (Across my desk this morning,  exceptional.)

Today’s Scripture
Starting a quarrel is like breaching a dam; so drop the matter before a dispute breaks out.”
(Proverbs 17:14, NIV)

Stay Above Strife
Too often, people fall into the trap of strife. Someone says something that rubs you the wrong way, and before you know it, there is tension, quarreling and division. The Scripture tells us that strife opens the door to “every evil work.” It’s the enemy’s greatest trap to keep people from living in victory. But you don’t have to fall into the trap of strife, you can rise above it. Today’s verse says that you can simply drop the matter before it turns into something bigger than it needs to be. You don’t have to sink down to somebody’s level and argue with them and try to prove that you’re right. You weren’t put on this earth to correct everybody around you.

If you are going to be all that God’s called you to be, you have to learn to stay above strife. Instead of letting disagreements pull your relationships apart, look for common ground to draw you closer to the people in your life. Look for peace. Look for ways to be a blessing. Stay above strife so you can enjoy your relationships and experience the blessing He has for you!

A Prayer for Today
“Heavenly Father, I choose to stay above strife. I choose to honor You by seeking peace in my relationships. Empower me to walk in love and be an example of Your light everywhere I go in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

My Thoughts:
When I read the above I immediately remembered the verse in Prov.16:7,   When a man’s ways please the Lord, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.  And what Christ Jesus taught in Matt.18:15,   If your brother wrongs you, go and show him his fault, between you and him privately. If he listens to you, you have won back your brother.  But it does not stop there….  The whole teaching of the Lord concerns maintaining the Unity of the Faith, in the Bond of Peace.

Obviously, gaining unity will depend upon many factors including our primary viewpoint of why we are here,  where did we come from and where are we going.  If we are secured in that larger dimension of eternity then much in this world will seem rather unimportant except for what facilitates eternal life with our loving Creator.  Our life time on earth is but a speck in relationship to eternity and eternal values.   But for us, if this time experience is only of our earthly vision then we are going to be self centered, egocentric and selfish.  Our little ego will not allow us to be wrong, even when we know that we are wrong. 

So the way up, is the way down as concerns peace and begins with humility (having ears) as a little child and with obedience.  Even Christ Jesus learned obedience through the things that HE suffered and was made perfect in that way.  Heb.5:8-9.   So much of the strife that we experience can be totally avoided if we maintain the loving long view that we are created as eternal souls and a hundred years from now, none of this will matter at all.  Our main energy flow will then go towards becoming ready to experience GOD’s light speed and our Creator’s plans for us in eternity.  We will then see our earthly experience as only a life time opportunity to find and experience being with our Creator for eternity,  Rev. 21    Or we can use up our short existence in time to build our own little temporal castle and be excluded from the light of God’s plans for those who love and obey HIM.  The Holy Scriptures are very clear.   Either we submit it GOD’s authority to rule over us and live in light for eternity or we spend our eternity in the blackness of darkness alone for eternity, Jude 13.  Hope you choose wisely.    Yours, in HIS great love and wonderful grace and mercy,  Ken<><

Mark 8:38,  If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels.”

Rev.1:3,   Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.
