ALOHA FAMILY AND FRIENDS,  Beloved of God,   John 3:16

LIFE,    “WORTH CONSIDERING’   7/29/19     (Across my desk today)

Today’s Scripture
“My times are in Your hand…”(Psalm 31:15, NASB)

Trust His Timing
One thing I’ve learned is that God doesn’t always work on our timetable. In fact, He rarely does. But in a single moment, God can change your life! All throughout Scripture, we see examples of how God was working behind the scenes and instantly turned things around for His people. Scripture tells us He is the same yesterday, today and forever, which means if He did it for them, He can instantly turn things around for you, too!

You may be going through some difficulty today, but be encouraged because your times are in God’s hands. Trust that He has your best interest at heart. He wants to pour out His favor. He wants to take you further than you dreamed possible and work in your life in ways beyond what you have ever imagined. And while you’re waiting, don’t try to figure everything out. That’s only going to frustrate you.

Let this truth sink down into your heart today. Resist discouragement by speaking His Word over your future. Keep standing, keep hoping and keep believing because He is working behind the scenes. Have faith because your times are in His hands, and He will lead you in the life of victory He has for you!

A Prayer for Today
“Father, today I humbly come before You giving You all that I am. I trust that my times are in Your hands. I trust that You are working things out in my favor. I set my focus on You knowing that You are working things out for my good in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

My Thoughts:
It is amazing how much in a hurry we can be about getting stuff done ASAP….  Have you ever noticed how much of that stuff done under stress, falls out of the bottom of things and we have to do it all over again,  even marriages.    As I am getting older and even with time going by so very fast now,  I find it very comfortable to simply wait upon the LORD.  Isaiah had some wonderful things to say about that subject:
Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:  31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 50:30-31.”

The writer of Hebrews (Paul,  I believe) puts it this way: Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.  For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.  3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.”  Heb.4:1-3.

The Sabbath was supposed to be a day set aside to learn how to hear GOD and to become obedient to HIM.   Like the time God spent with Adam before the fall where God was teaching Adam to become like HIM.  Unfortunately for Adam and for us Adam made poor choices and the world ended up in a mess.  So we have freewill in order to have real love and you must learn to love to make it to light speed for GOD is LOVE.  So Adam tried to skip a few classes and do it his way.  The results of his poor choice is all around us today.  But we have been offered forgiveness through making Christ Jesus LORD.   And we have been given the opportunity to learn how to enter into HIS rest,  hear HIS voice in our soul, and be guided by HIS Holy Spirit each day in HIS REST and learn to allow HIS LIFE to flow through us.

So if you, through the Holy Spirit will put to death the deeds of the flesh,  GOD’S WORD teaches us we will live.  Rom.8:13   The Greek word for live here is ZAO (God’s Life) =  Greek/Hebrew Definitions. Strong’s #2198: zao (pronounced dzah’-o) a primary verb; to live (literally or figuratively):–life(-time), (a-)live(-ly), quick. Thayer’s Greek Lexicon: ́. zaō. 1) to live, breathe, be among the living (not lifeless (John 3:3), not dead) 2) to enjoy real life.

So in GOD our soul is eternal,  a hundred years from now, what is going to matter?  Only what we have sent ahead in Christ Jesus.

Yours in HIS great love and wonderful grace and mercy,   Ken<><   (Back issues of “WORTH CONSIDERING” can be found as a link at   www.Trinity-Aloha.org )     THERE IS BUT ONE ETERNAL CHURCH OF CHRIST JESUS AND ALL WHO TRULY LOVE AND OBEY HIM ARE MEMBERS.
