WORD MADE FLESH,     “WORTH CONSIDERING”    12/24/19    (Across my desk today.)

Today’s Scripture
“Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests…”  (Luke 2:13-14, NIV)
With The Angels

On the night Jesus was born, there were some shepherds out in the field. An angel appeared to them to tell them about Christ’s birth. Then suddenly, a host of angels appeared who were praising God. Scripture tells us that there are angels in heaven singing God’s praises day and night. Think about this: When you praise God, you are joining with the angels in heaven! What an awesome thought that we can be one with the heavenly hosts when we worship. As you celebrate Christmas Eve, take time to rejoice with the angels. Turn your thoughts toward Him because He is good and worthy of all our praise!

A Prayer for Today
“Father, what an awesome privilege it is to come before Your throne of grace and worship You. Thank You for sending Your son, Jesus, so that I can live forever and join the heavenly hosts in Jesus’ name! Amen.”

My Thoughts:
Some how the time of the Birth of Jesus was moved to a Pagan Holiday:     https://therealtemple.blogspot.com/2008/12/pagan-history-of-december-25-jesus.html      But does it really matter?  As the shepherds were out in the the fields by night it is obvious that Jesus was born in the late spring when the grass was good for food.   But personally,  I don’t really care about the exact date as it brings nothing special to the table concerning GOD’S great love for us and wants us to share with others.  Christ Jesus mentioned that if we even gave a glass of water to some one in HIS name, it would be remembered.   Once we have began the Road of Salvation in making Christ Jesus our LORD (Master, King) & Savior) the foundation is laid for our service to HIM,  1 Cor.3:11,  “ For no one can lay a foundation other than the one which is [already] laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 But if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, 13 each one’s work will be clearly shown [for what it is]; for the day [of judgment] will disclose it, because it is to be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality and character and worth of each person’s work. 14 If any person’s work which he has built [on this foundation, that is, any outcome of his effort] remains [and survives this test], he will receive a reward. 15 But if any person’s work is burned up [by the test], he will suffer the loss [of his reward]; yet he himself will be saved, but only as [one who has barely escaped] through fire.”    It was in considering this portion of scripture that the truth sunk in that salvation is by relationship of faith and not by works.  But that works are important.  So if our motive for giving is out of a pure love for Christ Jesus and our loving obedience to HIM, HE is keeping the account.   Of course to give to get or to look good or any other of the many flesh motivations, it is a waste of time and money.  it will come to nothing in the Kingdom of God.  And in 2 Cor.9:7 Paul further writes:  “Let each one give [thoughtfully and with purpose] just as he has decided in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver [and delights in the one whose heart is in his gift].    Fact is,  the Tithing concept of 10% was of the Old Testament covenant and not introduced at all into the New Testament at all by Christ Jesus or anyone else.  In the New Testament God is looking for us to be 100% HIS and not just 10%.  He has sent the Holy Spirit to recycle us into being like Christ Jesus if we will allow it.

So, personally,  I am delighted that we are now encouraged to say, “Merry Christmas” and to enjoy a day dedicated to the 1st advent of GOD, the visit of Christ, the Word of God, into HIS creation. John 1:1-3 with the birth of Jesus.    In Gen.1:26 it was the same Word of God speaking,  “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness…”   And HE has not given up on bringing that original vision into reality.  And HE came as one of us,  taught us and waits on our faith and commitment to HIM.   We will most certainly need HIS grace to make the change to light speed from being the children of fallen Adam to becoming a Child of God in humility and obedience.  The coming Kingdom will be one of absolute pure Light, Love and Righteousness. And HE warned us that only a few would make it.  Matt.7:14.    Jesus said, “You will be hated by everyone because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.“  Matt.10:22  

So, really,  Christ Jesus is the reason for the season and nothing else.  And give only as you feel Jesus would give.

THREE KINGS,   “WORTH CONSIDERING”  12/23/19 (Across my desk today.)

Today’s Scripture
“On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him gifts…”   Matt. 2:11

Choose The Right Gifts

Can you imagine how the wise men felt as they first looked upon our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ? As part of their worship, they gave Him gifts. They gave valuable presents to symbolize the love, honor and appreciation in their hearts. In the same way, you show your love and appreciation to God with gifts of worship, and you can show your love and appreciate to others by the gifts you bring. As you celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ during this holiday season, don’t just focus on the gifts you bring in the natural; focus on gifts of love, kindness and encouragement. Go out of your way to show honor to others just as the wise men went out of their way to show honor to Jesus. When you walk in love and peace, that is the place of blessing.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, today I set my mind and heart on You. Help me to choose the right gifts this holiday season—gifts of love, kindness and peace. Have Your way in my heart and let Your goodness shine through me in Jesus’ name! Amen.”


My Thoughts:
Seems one of my favorite Christmas Carols that I remember well has always been “We Three Kings of Orient Are.”  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qOsnNr1-smA
So as you listen, please think about the words,  they have some profoundly deep meaning concerning seeking HIS light.  First off the gifts were basically indicative of the HIS basic needs.   The three gifts had a spiritual meaning: gold as a symbol of kingship on earth, frankincense (an incense) as a symbol of deity, and myrrh (an embalming oil) as a symbol of death.  The gold also needed for the family support in Egypt.  As to the use of the frankincense and myrrh,  Mary may have used them in the Lord’s death but there is no mention of it in the New Testament.  But the key to the value of the song is the word light.  GOD is light and in HIM is no darkness at all and if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.  1 John1:5-7

A long time ago I had a vision or dream of walking in a soft grassy meadow going east towards a rising sun and thought it was a beautiful experience.  As I was walking I felt the presence of another person joining me on my right side in robes so immediately realized it must be Jesus.  I did not look as I did not want to disturb what was happening.  And as we walked together towards the light I found it was not the sun at all but a giant yellow intense fire without heat  and as we walked it filled the whole sky.  We came to the edge of the grass which was still lovely even right up next to the fire.  Jesus stepped across into the fire and I felt I was to follow.  There was no fear but an awesome sense of respect.  As we walked into the fire I quickly realized there was a flow of liquid LOVE flowing in all directions.   And I became acutely aware that if there was anything in me that did not match that LOVE that it would be cremated instantly and then I awoke from the vision or dream.  I quickly realized there was a lot more to do in my life before I was ready to go.  The thought that I came away with was that in that day when I come face to face with my creator I need to have traded my Adamic nature in for the nature of Christ Jesus.  And that the Holy Spirit would help me if I was sincere about the exchinge of my darkness for HIS LIGHT.  So that song encourages me to keep heading in that direction regardless of how many times I stumble and fall.  That actually, walking in the light as HE is in the LIGHT has always been HIS divine purpose for us all on planet earth.  But our creation also does include a free will where we can say no,  I like Adam’s way better. OBEDIENCE = GRACE,   “WORTH CONSIDERING”   12/20/19,   (Over my desk the morning.)

Today’s Scripture
“Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart…”  Ps. 37:4
Your Secret Petitions

God knows the secret petitions of your heart. He knows every hidden dream He’s placed within you. He knows the things that you haven’t told anyone about. Maybe you thought they would never come to pass, or maybe you buried them because they didn’t happen on your timetable. Maybe, in the natural, you have every reason to give up on those dreams. Be encouraged today—God is still working behind the scenes! He still has a plan to bring those dreams to pass. Do what today’s verse says and delight yourself in Him. The word “delight” actually means “to make yourself soft and pliable.” It paints the picture of God as the Potter and you as the clay. Allow God to mold and shape your character today. Allow Him to direct your plans and ideas. Keep an attitude of faith and expectancy, and as you submit your ways to the Lord and follow His leading, He will fulfill those secret petitions of your heart!

A Prayer for Today
“Father, You said the path of the righteous gets brighter and brighter. You said no good thing will You withhold because I walk uprightly before You. You said because I delight myself in You, You will give me the secret petitions of my heart. Thank You for being in control of my life and for the good things You have in store for my future in Jesus’ name. Amen. “

My Thoughts
Often as I am seeking MY LORD’S wisdom, help, power, strength in a confrontational situation I am reminded of the following verse:  “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;  6And (God) having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.  2 Cor.10:5-6

It would seem as much of what we fear is really just out of our imaginations and by not completely trusting the LORD to protect and to provide for us.   So under the law of sowing and reaping HE has to wait on our obedience prior to assisting us.  That much of the conflicts that we endure are due to our own lack of faith.   I often counsel folks to remember that fear is faith going backwards.   And further that fear can be a chameleon of many colors so that it does not always present it’s self as fear.  Often it comes looking like wisdom or vanity but basically it digs into our past of where we were once hurt and don’t want to go there again.  But obviously it is never the same as the past and the issues are always uniquely different.  But we lack the patience to challenge our imaginations carefully.  We can not assume that any 2 people are alike,  they never are.   And each soul deserves faith and love if we are to be serving the LORD as HE loves them in all their sin and still want’s them for HIS KINGDOM.  And you are really HIS representative on earth to reveal HIM to all you contact in every day.  I usually carry a few tracts that I personally put together from the Word of God on LIGHT.  I am about to order the next 1000.   They only cost .10 cents each.   And out of 3000 so far I have only been turned down about 3 times.  I also make paper air planes out of them for the kids when I can and they love them.  And like it says in Psalm 126:5-6:  “5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.”  So my feeling is that I am sowing seeds, in Joy, really, that I will not see the results of until on the other side.  That I am investing my life, little by little into that which is everlasting and eternal.  The kids always take the little paper airplanes home and I know that eventually they will fall apart and I wonder how many parents will get curious and pick them up and read what is written from the Bible on LIGHT?  This is a lot more fun than tracking what the darkness is up to.  A lot more productive than getting jailed by vain imaginations and fears.  Rom. 1:20-22.  ” For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:  21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.  22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,”
So what kind of seeds are you sowing?   That will be the eternal crop that you harvest.  Obedience grows freedom.

FAMILY OF GOD,   “WORTH CONSIDERING”  12/19/19,   (Across my desk this morning.)

Today’s Scripture
“God sets the solitary in families…”    (Psalm 68:6, NKJV)
He Places The Solitary In Families

Most everyone goes through times in life when they feel lonely or wonder where they belong. God designed family to always be a place of love and acceptance. Maybe you didn’t come from an environment like that, or maybe you’ve been away from your family. Maybe they are no longer around. God still desires to meet that need for family. The Scripture says that He is the Father to the fatherless, and He places the solitary in families. God wants to give you a circle of people whom you can trust and who will embrace and accept you. If you need family today, ask God to meet that need and show you where you belong. Or maybe, you are the one who can open your home and heart to someone who is alone. The point is that God loves family. He designed family for a purpose. Jesus said in Matthew 12 that those who do God’s will are His family. When you are part of the family of God, you are never alone! He promises to never leave you nor forsake you. He promises to fill you with His peace and joy so that you can live as an overcomer all the days of your life!
A Prayer for Today

“Father in heaven, thank You for showing me Your design for family. Thank You for accepting and embracing me always. Show me how I can reach out and be an example of family in someone else’s life.”

My Thoughts:
For me this is a most important subject.   First off, when we become a True Christian (as there are many counterfeits.)  Our new family is no longer biological but becomes spiritual.  Christ Jesus was very clear about this.  Of course it is great when your family is both.  But often, it is not.  Often when a person becomes a true Christian and begins to walk in the light as HE is in the light, often family member become very destructive enemies.  “ And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!  50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother. Matt.12:49.   and  also:   ” And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s,  30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.  Luke writes it this way:  “ And there went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said unto them,  26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.  27 And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.  (hate here is used to mean preferential, that the LORDship of Christ Jesus must take presidence over all else.)    In other words,  obedience to Christ Jesus must supersede all other authority for anyone to become a disciple of Christ Jesus.  Often we allow ourselves to be boxed in by family, wife, husband, kids or even Church in oppositions to the clear teachings of Christ Jesus.  Christ Jesus even warns us:   And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:  Matt. 12:25  and further:  Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.   35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. Matt. 10:34-35  and even especially this:   “… Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.  (This is written 5 times in the New Testament.)

In Christ Jesus, we become family with all who are also truly in Christ Jesus and our Creator God becomes our Real Father (heavenly) and joins us into HIS eternal family.  And any one who is seeking truth should be seen as an opportunity of fulfilling our Heavenly Father’s will in helping them to be fitly joined and compacted into the family of God,  Eph.4:11-16.  True Christians are to be on watch for those seeking the light of God and helping them find this eternal shelter in the Kingdom of God.   This is our Heavenly Father’s prime directive for HIS family at this time.

THE LIONS DEN

THE LIONS DEN,   “WORTH CONSIDERING”   12/18/19,  (Across my desk this morning.)

Today’s Scripture
“Daniel, servant of the living God! Was your God, whom you serve so faithfully, able to rescue you from the lions?…”
(Daniel 6:20, NLT)
He Is Your Rescuer

Most people won’t ever literally come face to face with a hungry lion, but we’ve all been in situations where we felt as though we are about to be “eaten up” or destroyed. Daniel lived a life of excellence and found favor with the king. The king kept promoting him and giving him more authority, which made the other administrators jealous and angry. They manipulated the king into signing a law that Daniel could not follow. Daniel prayed and still found himself in the lions’ den. How would you respond in that situation? I’m sure Daniel believed that God would deliver him. I’m sure he hoped it would be before he was thrown into that den. Have you ever prayed and prayed for something and things just kept getting worse? Daniel trusted that God was working His plan for His glory. In the end, Daniel was protected and his enemies were destroyed. When it looks as though your friends have turned on you and you are headed for the lions’ den, don’t be discouraged because God has the final say. Keep believing Him; keep trusting Him. He’s promised to never leave you nor forsake you. He’ll shut the mouth of the lion; He’ll silence your accusers; He’ll stand with you in the fire, and He will lead you into victory in every area of your life.
A Prayer for Today
“Prayer: Father in heaven, You are my Light in dark times. I thank You for Your faithfulness and trust that You have a wonderful plan for my life. No matter how things seem, I will put my hope and trust in You. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.”

My Thoughts:
There is a verse that I really lean on when it comes to the lions of this world:   “ Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;    6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.“   2 Cor. 10:5-6.    It seems to me that most of our fears are really paper dragons or lions.   They are thoughts like lucifer gave to Eve,  lies.   We get to thinking that we actually know more that GOD as seen in our actions.  And usually the fear takes us out of the Peace of God and onto a road to pain or in hitting a wall.   I really like the promise here that GOD will take my side when I have come into complete obedience.  Now that is a tricky subject as to be completely obedient to GOD I must also know that Holy Scriptures in order to filter out the lies of the world.  In the little book of Jude he covers this very well, especially in verse 12 naming Cain, Balaam and Core as three type of deception that are in the church today.   And of course there is the spirit of Jezebel which is very rampant these day.   Now you probably may know a few more diversions as there are many.   Every tradition of man has to be evaluated as Christ Jesus Taught:   “Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. ”  Mar 7:7.   and   ”  Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.”  Mark 7:12. 

We are so inclined to follow our emotions like Eve and not be foundational in the scriptures and truth like Jesus.  Our emotions are based on our past experiences and often lead us astray.  Even with people if they remind us of someone in the past that was a problem for us we tend to avoid them even though they have done nothing to offend us.  That is why we are taught,  “Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.”  Heb.13:2  (The word angel can also be interpreted as messenger.)  This person may be a messenger of GOD sent from GOD to help us with something important in our eternal life.   YES,  You are created to live forever, of course, like GOD.   But there is the a matter of placement.

We constantly need to be ready to shift our doctrine as the Holy Spirit shares more of God’s loving truth and wisdom with us.   Knowledge is not enough,  we must also gain the wisdom to use it properly.  Our loving Creator would like us to have us learn to seek HIM with all that we have.  He has designed each of us to fit perfectly into the Kingdom that HE is Creating.  Even our Free Will has been totally considered in HIS infinite foreknowledge.  So all of our decisions have already been included in HIS divine plan of the Ages to come.  So if you are reading this, HE already knows what you will do with it.  But it is still your decision to make in this dimension of time.  Like taught by Christ Jesus:  “I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.  17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.“  Rev. 22:16-17.  So the door to God’s eternity is now open to all but “few there be that find it.” Matt.7:13-15″.

Help Others Succeed

God’s system works on the principle of sowing and reaping. What you pour out will come back to you in increased measure. When you give generously, a generous harvest will return to you. When you help others succeed, you will find abundant success on your path, too. What are you investing in the lives of the people around you? Are you helping others get ahead? There are people in your life who hold the keys for you to reach your full potential. These are people whom God has placed in your life for you to help along. The higher they rise, the higher you will rise. When you give generously of your time, talent and resources, you are setting yourself up for greater success. People will come across your path who will help you grow and reach your full potential. But you have to do your part to step out and sow the seed. Be on the lookout for ways you can help others. As you give of yourself to help others grow, you’ll rise higher and live the abundant life He has in store for you.

My Thoughts:
Deeply understanding this principle of life is extremely important for our good.  Our Creator, never violates this principle of balance.  Like balancing a tire, life is not in balance until it is running smooth and with out a wobble.
Jesus Christ is GOD’s example of balance and perfection.  It is written many times in the New Testament that The Heavenly Father wants and will help us to become balanced and be like Christ Jesus if we are up for it.  Phil.1:6.       I am convinced and confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will [continue to] perfect and complete it until the day of Christ Jesus [the time of His return].   So making Christ Jesus as LORD and Savior begins a pilgrimage in which the Holy Spirit wants to help us become like Christ Jesus.  So what is it to become like Christ Jesus.  Will I still be me?  Most assuredly, yes.
It appears we will be able to recognize each other in the resurrection but without the effects of Adam’s sin and spiritual death and decay.  We will be provided with new bodies that are eternal but totally sustained directly by GOD’s power and not through secondary resources.  It will be a perfect body as was the body of Christ Jesus in HIS resurrection.  We will feel very much at home in our new houses.   However, for now, the warranty is 120 years as per Gen. 6:3 and subject, of course, to our personal maintenance. 

So back to sowing and reaping.   What kind of seeds have you been sowing.  What you sow in your garden will be very predictable as to the crop.  In the motion picture “Second Hand Lions” The subjects of the movie decided to plant a first time garden.  So seeds were purchased from a traveling salesman.  The packages all had the pictures of beautiful vegetables on them.  But had been all loaded with very inexpensive corn.   Guess What,  A whole big field of Corn resulted.  Moral of the story,  in our lying world, you need to know what the seed looks like and not just the packaging.  A lot of Jezebel seeds are now being packaged in Holy Women seed packets.  Do we give to get?  That would also be a wrong motive.  Paul teaches it this way:  2 Cor.9:7   “Let each one [give] as he has made up his own mind and purposed in his heart, not reluctantly or sorrowfully or under compulsion, for God loves (He [a]takes pleasure in, prizes above other things, and is unwilling to abandon or to do without) a cheerful (joyous, “prompt to do it”) giver [whose heart is in his giving].    James also adds his touch to the truth of the issue:  James 4:2-4:  “You are jealous and covet [what others have] and your desires go unfulfilled; [so] you become murderers. [To hate is to murder as far as your hearts are concerned.] You burn with envy and anger and are not able to obtain [the gratification, the contentment, and the happiness that you seek], so you fight and war. You do not have, because you do not ask.3 [Or] you do ask [God for them] and yet fail to receive, because you ask with wrong purpose and evil, selfish motives. Your intention is [when you get what you desire] to spend it in sensual pleasures. 4 You [are like] unfaithful wives [having illicit love affairs with the world and breaking your marriage vow to God]! Do you not know that being the world’s friend is being God’s enemy? So whoever chooses to be a friend of the world takes his stand as an enemy of God.

So we see that the sanctification process is to remove us entirely from the influence of this world and set our feet on a new foundation (Isa.28:16-17) and sowing and reaping helps us to know what is in the package that we buy into as to as to what is published on the label.   Often when the crop grows from what we purchased we find that the vegetables are bitter and un-eatable, weeds.  We are here to lean to become like Jesus and help others to also become like Jesus.  If we sow to the flesh we harvest a crop we can not eat.  If we sow to the spirit, the crop is everlastingly good to enjoy.  Rom.8:12-14: “ So then, brethren, we are debtors, but not to the flesh [we are not obligated to our carnal nature], to live [a life ruled by the standards set up by the dictates] of the flesh.  13 For if you live according to [the dictates of] the flesh, you will surely die. But if through the power of the [Holy] Spirit you are [habitually] putting to death (making extinct, deadening) the [evil] deeds prompted by the body, you shall [really and genuinely] live forever.  14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons (children) of God.

He Prepares The Way For Victory

There are times in life when we all face situations that seem impossible. It’s easy to get discouraged and think that things won’t ever work out. But the Scripture tells us that God goes before us and makes our crooked places straight. In other words, even though you may not have the connections you need right now, you don’t have to worry. God is going before you lining up the right people, arranging the right breaks, and setting up the right opportunities. He is preparing the way for victory!

Today, if you are facing difficulty, don’t fall into the temptation to get negative and sour. That adversity is no surprise to God. He’s not up in the heavens scratching His head and thinking, “Oh, no! Now what am I going to do?” No, He already has every day of your life written in His book. Before you had that problem, God already had the solution. He is going before you right now preparing the next chapter of your life. Stay in faith and keep the right attitude because He is moving you forward into the victory He has prepared for you!

A Prayer for Today
“”Father, thank You for ordering and directing my steps. Thank You for working behind the scenes on my behalf. I choose today to trust in You, knowing that You are good, and You always lead me into victory in Jesus’ name. Amen.””

My Thoughts,
In the above we must also include GOD’s Infinite ability to foreknow our decisions in HIS dimension of Eternity. But they are all still our decisions only known from HIS dimension, good and bad,  GOD ponders our hearts and knows what we are ultimately seeking like with Jacob and our needs even prior to our asking.  He knows whether we will be seeking light and HIM or not.  And HE loves it when we seek the light as HE is the LIGHT..  So when our testing and learning decisions get us in trouble and we repent HE is right there for us with HIS grace to pluck us out of the muck.  Clean us up and set our feet again on the Rock which can not be moved.  Is this not what we do with all our children?  Some of mine now are in their 60’s and I am still trying to pick them up.  Our Adamic nature will only lead us into lies, wrongful decisions and pain but our new nature in Christ Jesus will lead us into the paths of righteousness for HIS namesake.  This world is a temporary spiritual gymnasium to help us grow spiritually if we will walk in the Spirit and not the flesh.  Eventually if we learn and get strong in the faith and in HIS great love we will be called to join with HIM in HIS dimension of eternity.    Rom.8:13:: “For if you are living according to the [impulses of the] flesh, you are going to die. But if [you are living] by the [power of the Holy] Spirit you are habitually putting to death the sinful deeds of the body, you will [really] live forever.”  John 12:24-26:  “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone [just one grain, never more]. But if it dies, it produces much grain and yields a harvest. 25 The one who loves his life [eventually] loses it [through death], but the one who hates his life in this world [and is concerned with pleasing God] will keep it for life eternal. 26 If anyone serves Me, he must [continue to faithfully] follow Me [without hesitation, holding steadfastly to Me, conforming to My example in living and, if need be, suffering or perhaps dying because of faith in Me]; and wherever I am [in heaven’s glory], there will My servant be also. If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.”   And it is by deeply believing in the Great and Precious Promises in the Bible that we are changed into our Creator’s Image and Likeness:  2 Peter 1:4:  “For by these He has bestowed on us His precious and magnificent promises [of inexpressible value], so that by them you may escape from the immoral freedom that is in the world because of disreputable desire, and become sharers of the divine nature.”

Personally, I sure hope that you will deeply consider this as it is the only way to make the jump to light speed at the end of your life.

NEEDS / WANTS,   “WORTH CONSIDERING” 12/13/19   (Across my desk this morning.)

Today’s Scripture
“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus…”

He Gives You What You Need

In 2 Samuel 12 is the story of how King David got off course with his life. The prophet Nathan was correcting him. In doing so, he reminded David of what God had brought him through. David had seen God’s goodness, favor, protection and provision down through the years. And in verse 8, God made an interesting statement through Nathan: “David, if it had not been enough, I would have given you much, much more.” In other words, “David, looking back over your life, if you were ever lacking, if you ever needed more wisdom, more favor, more protection, more finances, I would have given it to you.”

That tells us that we have what we need right now in order to fulfill our destiny. The moment it become insufficient is the moment that God will give you more. The moment it begins to stop God’s plan for your life is the moment God will intervene on your behalf. Today, be encouraged that you have what you need, and what you need tomorrow is on its way! God is closely watching your life. He is faithful and saying to you what He said to David: “If it’s ever not enough, you can count on Me. I will always be there to give you more.”

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for being my Source and Supply. I declare that my trust and hope is in You. I choose to rest in You knowing that You have provided everything I need for today in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

My Thoughts,
First, it is very difficult for us to know the difference between our wants,  inherited from grand daddy Adam,  and our real needs today.   We have been so lied to by the public media.  They show us stuff that looks like fun that is deadly.  And seek to sell us stuff that we don’t really need.   I was very fortunate to grow up in my youth during the Great Depression of 1929.. 

In my youth I really was deeply instructed in what was basic and needed.  We lived well with an outside cistern water catchment well with a bucket and rope for water,  a hole in the back yard 30′ deep to keep things cool in the summer and a wood stove for cooking, and with oil lamps to see at night.  One of my choirs was to shuck corn and hand grind it for the corn bread and to feed the chickens;  shoes were rather unknown even in the winter.  I went with great-grandpaw about 80 to milk the cows in the winter and stood in the cow pies to keep my feet warm.  Washed them off in the snow back up to the house.  Privy was outside behind to the chicken house.   But we had all we needed,  worked hard and went through even the great depression without missing a meal.  Guests were always welcome.  Grandpaw had a deep faith in the provisions of God and as I now look back i am very thankfulness with great appreciation for his godly example..  Now think about it?  What kind of an example are we setting for our future generations?

There is a whole list of the sins of the flesh that could kept the blessings of God from our door.  And we mostly know exactly what they are right now as we consider this..  And so how can we expect to be blessed if we are disobedient even to what we already know.  Much less in being disobedient to what we should also know.  So we should not expect God’s blessings if our houses and lives are not in order.  Even our kids knew better than this.  God blesses the humble and obedient who know and keep HIS commandments.  Otherwise our lives will be filled with the sowing and reaping of Adams fallen carnal nature and all of the lies of this world.

He Holds Your Destiny

Oftentimes, people who aren’t fulfilling their destiny will try to discourage you from fulfilling yours. They may not do it intentionally, but they’ll tell you what you can’t do and how things won’t work out. They’re quick to remind you of all your impossibilities. Your relatives, coworkers and friends may try to talk you out of your dream, but that’s because God didn’t put that promise inside them; He put it inside you! You have to remember that other people don’t determine your destiny, God does. He holds your destiny in the palms of His hands. If you will keep believing, God will not only bring it to pass, He will do more than you can ask or think. Friend, don’t let someone else’s unbelief keep you from believing. Don’t let other people talk you out of your dreams. It’s time to get into agreement with God. He says you are well able. He says you are equipped. He says you are qualified. He says you are anointed, called and appointed to fulfill every dream and desire He’s placed within you!

A Prayer for Today
“Father in heaven, I trust that You are leading and guiding me today. I trust that You hold my future. I choose to tune out the discouraging voices and tune into Your Word. Fill me with Your peace and joy as You direct my steps in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

My Thoughts:
This is so very true,  you are the only soul that will ever be like you.  Once you come to the place of accepting the fact that there is Intelligent Design in the Creation around us.  Then comes the questions of: Why am I here and where am I headed in the scope of things?  What is my destiny.  We are far too wonderfully made to only live a few years and then be terminated.  Seems to me that we were created to fulfill a given purpose, a destiny,  but due to also having a free will we have to want to know it and to seek it out.  Otherwise we would just be a junk pile of robots parroting our given programs.. 

As for me at 87, as I look back over my life I am amazed at how the time has gone by so very quickly.  I remember very clearly being a very little boy and eating green apples in the apple tree in the farm yard like it was only yesterday.  I had blond curly hair and one day I plastered down with molasses.  Flies in the chicken yard really loved me that day.    And I am sure that you life is spinning by just as mine did.   So in light of your soul being created to be eternal where are you going to find good directions?   You already know that without good directions you may not get to where you want to go.  So where do you want your eternal soul to go for eternity?   Don’t think you have one?   But what if you do???????

The best information on getting to where anyone want to go usually comes from some one who has already gone there and left good directions.  In April of 1955, my personal decision was to trust Christ Jesus for the needed directions.  So, for the last 65 years,  with a few detours,  I have sought to learn from HIS experience and directions.  So at this point in my life I have very little doubt at all that HIS directions are good..  And that my Creator is pulling for me to keep on coming to HIM.  But bottom line,  It has been my quest and my victory through HIS grace.  But my family,  wives ( Outlived 2 and married to a 3rd) and my kids and family and friends have,  in many ways, stood in the way.  Their well meaning suggestions and fears have tended to side track me In my walk through life,  I have found it true, in my life,  that either Christ Jesus is LORD with HIS commandments in my life or that the map HE gave me will not work for me at all.  In fact,  I have found that The Creator will not alter HIS TRUTH at all to accommodate the carnal nature that I inherited from Adam at all no matter how I beg , connive and manipulate.  That HE loves, a proven fact.  That HE wants the very best for me, absolutely.  But that I can change his mind, a waist of time, a lost cause.  And I am learning that walking in HIS Loving Truth has far more Joy that being caught up in the worlds lies.   What we sow, is exactly what will grow in our garden of life and will reap many many times over.

MULTIPLICATION,     “WORTH CONSIDERING”    12/11/19   (Across my desk this morning.)

Today’s Scripture
“And I will make My covenant (solemn pledge) between Me and you and will multiply you exceedingly” Gen. 17:2
He Will Multiply You

God is in the multiplication business. It doesn’t matter what your need is today, God wants to increase you! One time in the Old Testament, God simply multiplied the sound of four men’s footsteps and caused them to sound like a mighty army. When their enemies heard them coming, they took off running. There were thousands of enemy troops running for their lives, scared to death, thinking they were being attacked by a massive army when, in fact, it was just four people!

Friend, God can make you seem bigger than you really are. He can make you look more powerful. He knows how to multiply your influence, your strength, your talent and your income. You don’t have to figure it all out. All you have to do is put your trust in Him. If you will release your faith and get up every day expecting God’s far and beyond favor, you’re going to see God multiply you in every area of your life!

A Prayer for Today
“Father God, thank You for Your faithfulness in my life. Thank You for Your promise to bless and multiply me. Direct my steps, keep me close to You as I increase in You in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

My Thoughts:
In my experience, it seems really strange but many Christians never seem to understand that they were not only Born from above by making Christ Jesus Lord but that they were also born into the Kingdom of God to reproduce.   I know of many so called Christians that have never helped another soul find Christ Jesus as Lord.   And they really don’t feel responsible at all?  In the Old Testament Isaiah in 52:7 makes this prophesy:  “How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!”  David in Psalm 126:6 records this,  “He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.”

In the New Testament Jesus shares with us:  “ Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:  20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”  Matt. 28:19-20  and in John 12:24-26:  “Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.  25 He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.  26 If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.”  and also in John 17:20-26:  “ Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;  21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.25 O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.26 And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.”

To help other souls into the Kingdom of God is the most important aspect of Christian maturity.  Only athe mature can do this well.  And it is inconvenient and uncomfortable at times in confronting the world  as to their need to be born from above.
And it take time, energy and knowledge of the Word of God as well as being able to be guided by the Holy Spirit.   But it is one of the major things that a Christian can do that will be sent ahead into the eternal Kingdom of God.  I will deeply enjoy seeing the many faces of those that the Holy Spirit has allowed me to help into the Kingdom of God.  We are born of God to spiritually grow up and to learn to reproduce.   We are bought with a price and we have a job to do here on earth in assisting the Holy Spirit in the harvest of souls.  Christ Jesus even instructed his disciples to pray for us to come and help with the harvest in Matt.9:36.  “But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.  37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;  38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.”  Our Heavenly Father has given us Christians the responsibility to share the Gospel of the Kingdom to our lost world.
