The tongue has the power of life and death.  (Proverbs 18:21, NIV)
    
Speak to Your Mountain
Words have creative power. They can be very helpful like electricity. Used the right way, electricity powers all kinds of good things. But electricity used the wrong way can harm or even kill you. It’s the same way with our words. Whether we speak positive or negative words, we will reap what we sow. If you’re always speaking words of defeat and failure, you’re going to live in a pretty miserable world. Use your words to change your negative situations and fill them with life.
The Scripture clearly tells us to speak to our mountains. Maybe your mountain is a sickness,  a college debt, or a floundering business. Whatever your mountain is, speak to that obstacle. The Scripture says, “Let the weak say, ‘I am strong!’” Start calling yourself healed, happy, whole, blessed, and prosperous. God is a miracle-working God. Stop talking to God about how big your mountains are and start talking to your mountains about how big your God is!
    
A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for the creative power that You give my words to change my life. Help me to give my faith a voice by speaking words of life and blessing over myself and my future daily. I declare that You are greater than any mountain I face. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
    
Ken’s Comments,
WELL WORTH CONSIDERING….   As I get older I tend to try to be honest to friends and family as to how I am feeling.   As everyone asks, whether they are interested or not.  As I was leaving a big church service one Sunday the minister, on the way out, with the gentle hand tug to keep me moving… ask me, in a very religious and acceptable way, “How are you really doing today.”   So I let go of his hand and went over and got a fold chair and set it down next to him and began to sit down.  He looked at me rather shocked, and said, “What are you doing?”   And I simply replied, “Well, might take some time?”  And then he realized what he had said and started laughing…..  Like a deer caught in the head lights….   But seriously if we are fighting a physical battle of some kind we need to be quoting what God says as the Truth like Isa.53:5-6 and not those next door.

Our conscious mind, 1/7 is the gateway to our sub conscious mind, 6/7.  And we train our heart mind to agree to what our head mind keeps sending.  So junk in, junk out.  Sowing and Reaping always go hand in hand.  And it is only Heart Faith that secures anything in the Kingdom of God.  Whether it be salvation, new life in Christ, empowering of the Holy Spirit and Spiritual Growth it is all experienced by heart faith.  Read Hebrews 11.   And so what we say about ourselves and others has a great influence in what we will experience and accomplish in life.  And if negative like the Tower of Babel or positive like Jesus on the Mount of Transfiguration our faith is for good or bad works in the same way or another.    In fact FEAR is FAITH going backwards.  And the Word of God teaches that God has not given us the spirit of fear but of Love, Power and a Sound Mind.  So actually God really loves us and is for us 100% but HE has to honor our free will. We control the door, Rev.3:20.   Where Jesus is standing outside of HIS own church asking to come in.
 
Things that are holding back from healing us are our lack of love for each other, 1 John 4:13-21.  Our lack of unity in God’s Truth, John 17  Vain church traditions, Mark 7:7.  Paul even wrote about it: 2 Tim.3:1-5.  And James has a few words of advice on healing for us: James 5:12-18
But above all [things], my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or by any other oath; but let your yes be [a simple] yes, and your no be [a simple] no, so that you may not sin and fall under condemnation.  13 Is anyone among you afflicted (ill-treated, suffering evil)? He should pray. Is anyone glad at heart? He should sing praise [to God].  14 Is anyone among you sick? He should call in the church elders (the spiritual guides). And they should pray over him, anointing him with oil in the Lord’s name.  15 And the prayer [that is] of faith will save him who is sick, and the Lord will restore him; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.  16 Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart]. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].  17 Elijah was a human being with a nature such as we have [with feelings, affections, and a constitution like ours]; and he prayed earnestly for it not to rain, and no rain fell on the earth for three years and six months. 18 And [then] he prayed again and the heavens supplied rain and the land produced its crops [as usual].  (1 Cor.11:29-31 would also be good to consider.)

According to the university, the test is highly accurate and is able to differentiate the COVID-19 virus from “negative clinical samples” and “common respiratory pathogens.”

Young at Heart
No matter what age you are, you can be young at heart, full of faith, energy, and creativity. Your spirit never ages. It doesn’t have to get old and grouchy. You can stay young in spirit. The way that happens is to give no place to the negative. Get in a habit of emptying out any offenses, knowing that God is in control and will do what He promised despite what comes against you. Empty out the worry and anxiety. If you made a mistake, empty out the guilt. If you didn’t do your best, empty out the regret. If you were upset because you didn’t get the credit you deserved, empty out the self-pity. If you had a bad break, and you don’t understand why, empty out the questions. Don’t try to figure it out.   If you get good at emptying out the negative every day, you’ll be strong, vibrant, full of faith, and full of joy.
   
A Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You that I never need to get old in my heart, and that I can stay young and vibrant in my spirit. I choose to empty out the worry, mistakes, and offenses and let negative things go. Fill me with joy to overflowing. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Comments:
Today’s topic is understanding the word PEACE.  There are two kinds of peace: Biological and Spiritual.  Biologically, Homeostasis, any self-regulating process by which biological systems tend to maintain stability while adjusting to conditions that are optimal for survival. If homeostasis is successful, life continues; if unsuccessful, disaster or death ensues. The stability attained is actually a dynamic equilibrium, in which continuous change occurs yet relatively uniform conditions prevail.        Like being on a big ship in a rough ocean.  Once out of the Panama Canal and into the Atlantic Ocean the swells were above 16′ and every one was getting sea sick.  I started to but then got into the very center of the ship and stayed vertical in spite of what the ship was doing and did not get sick.  It was that way for several days in spite of the leveling thrusters of the ship.   So if we do not give into the fight or flight motives that cause our adrenaline to pump it is much better for our whole body.  It has been written by a person in the medical profession that 5 minutes of anger can upset your immune system for a whole day.  My heart rate runs at about 60 beats a minute like a clock.  If the music that I listen to is about the same, it is refreshing for me physically.  And especially if about God’s Truth and the Beauty He has created.    If 100+ beats my dinner is gone.

The same holds true for the Spiritual world.  A few days ago I made a deal to get two small pieces of marble cut and edged polished and I am still sure the guy said $50. which sounded reasonable and would be ready on Wednesday.   I came back on Wednesday and He said that he had told me Friday and that it was $150.  for the work.  I had the choice to go ballistic for a $100.  and another 50 miles to pick up the marble.  To get my marble and walk away and go to another place and start all over or to pay the $100. and give it to the LORD.  Of course I started to go ballistic.  But then the Holy Spirit reminded me to agree with my adversary quickly, so I did.  And today the marble was delivered to my door by a Christian Hawaiian man who works there and we had a great time talking about Jesus and a new door opened in Hawaii of Spiritual Unity in God’s Love and Peace between a white guy and a brown guy who  also knows how to speak Hawaiian very well and even taught me something new about Hawaii which is very important.   He said that the State of Hawaii is inaccurate in quoting the State Motto.  “The Life of The Land Is Perpetuated in Righteousness.”  They left off, “Through our LORD JESUS CHRIST.”  And none of this would have happened if I had been on a vendetta and took a walk in to grouch land.

This Election has made us reds and blues and sometimes in the same family.  And yet the Word of God tells us that it is God who is in control in Rom. 13.   And that we should keep the faith in the bond of PEACE and vote as the Holy Spirit guides us.  And not to loose any sleep or make any enemies over it.   Concerning the virus some are very fearful and some just ignore it.  We should allow folks to be who they are as also does our Creator.  Of course with our Creator if we seek, ask and knock HE is happy to help us find HIS Truth.  But there is no stress or anger or manipulation involve, just LOVE.  So consider spending some time in the Word of God finding out how to stay at peace with the big swells of this world both physically and spiritually and you will live a lot longer and have fewer visit to the Dr. and be Blessed with God’s Holy Truth.

Do Not Despise Small Beginnings
When David went out to face Goliath, all he had was a slingshot and five smooth stones. It looked insignificant, ordinary, and certainly nothing special. But God breathed on him, and he defeated Goliath and became the king of Israel. All Moses had was an ordinary stick, something he found on the ground, yet when he picked up that rod and held it in the air, the Red Sea supernaturally parted. Samson was surrounded by a huge army. All he had was the jawbone of a donkey. But he picked up that jawbone, God breathed on him, and he defeated a thousand men.
Don’t despise the day of small beginnings. Don’t look at what you have and say, “I can’t do anything great. I don’t have a lot of talent.” If you’ll use what God has given you, He will multiply it. He will not only bring your dreams to pass, but He will do more than you can ask or think.
   
A Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You that You rejoice to see me use what You have given me, and You will bring the increase as I trust in You. Thank You that a slingshot and five stones are enough to bring down a giant. I believe that nothing can keep me from my destiny. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Comments:
I was writing to some one the other day and suggesting that they start small as Jesus did and got into a world of words about my unbelief.  And I tried to explain the concept of building a small but hot fire and then taking the hot coals like Stephen and getting them close to Saul of Tarsus who became Apostle Paul and wrote nearly ½ of our New Testament.  So we are now in a big rain storm.  Many are cold and wet and dying.  We need to get a fire going.  We have a lot of living rooms that are empty and family that we know are virus free.  Why not gather a bit of kindling together and start a spiritual fire in your home.  Little is much when God is in it.  Sure you get a lot of smoke when you start to built a fire but after it gets hot not much smoke and as it gets hot the bigger and wetter logs can be put in the fire and dry out and catch on fire and make lots of heat.  We have put a new web site up called: www.OhanaChurch.Life and we will be adding things to the file that will help a Biblical New Testament House Church to get started.

Jesus taught us that where 2 or 3 gathered together in HIS name that HE would be there.  So if you set a family time out for getting together each week, Jesus has promised to attend.  Not one single word in the New Testament about building anything.  No funds collected for a building.  They used what was available as a place to gather each week and larger spaces as needed for a big gather but gifts went to help the poor and to evangelize.  A priest, friend of mine, was lamenting one day and privately told me that his congregation was, “A collection of God’s chosen frozen dedicated to the preservation of the stuff.”  I won’t give you the denomination as the Lord has be cautioning me not to talk stink about those who are wrapped up in vain traditions.  But we desperately need a New Testament Revival like in Acts 5:16 where everyone who came was fixed as needed by the Holy Spirit.   An old church denomination that goes way back had a saying, “In Essential, Unity, in all else LOVE.”  So lets be about digging out the essentials of our New Testament and find that Loving Unity so we can all speak and teach God’s TRUTH in Love.  It is in believing and obeying His truth that we are set free.   We can use the internet as a place to place God’s Truth so it is there 24/7 for anyone who is interested.  One good brother thought I was ½ a bubble off the other day and told me so.  That was great.  Get the ego’s out of the way and in love search together for God’ Truth that sets us free.  Think about it,  what is to be gained by believing lies and sitting in darkness?

In John 17 Jesus prayed the whole chapter about the kind of Unity in Loving Truth that He wanted us to enjoy in our new freedom from the lies of sin.  He taught us what to do and we have four eye witness accounts saying it mostly in 4 different ways so we would not get confused.  So let’s work together on publishing what HE said that was important so we can find and walk in real Godly Freedom as a Holy People of God.

A previous trend for migration into American cities is reportedly reversing itself, experts say.  A majority of likely American voters believe the United States should not undergo another COVID-19 lockdown, according to a new Just the News Daily Poll with Scott Rasmussen.   Protesters overturned statues of former Presidents Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln in Portland, Ore., ahead of Monday’s federal Columbus Day holiday.  A clear majority of Israelis favor the re-election of US President Donald Trump come November’s presidential elections, a new poll showed Monday night.           
Karl  Marx, Socialist, actively rebelled against the divine. He wrote, “I long to take vengeance on the One Who rules from above. The idea of God is the keynote of a perverted civilization. It must be destroyed.”    (Have you noticed that flavor in the air from 1950 and getting stronger?)

At this time one American Party seems to have been  taken hostage by many groups who would like to destroy our Constitution and our  Christian Way of Life.  Atheists, Abortionists,  Socialists,  Homosexuals,  School Printers and News Media and many like  them  have  taken  the  party hostage to make all kinds of changes that are very much contrary to the ethics and moral values of most living in this Country.  And they are organized and well financed.  And they are posting promises that can not be fulfilled,  to gain votes.  With this election we have a very clear choice.                                                                                                                                                                                      There is but One Church of Christ Jesus as LORD

and all who love and obey HIM are all members.

Live Guilt-Free
Today’s Scripture tells us to resist the enemy. To resist means to not agree with what he’s telling you, but rather to believe what God says about you. When you hear him whisper, “You’re all washed up. You’ve made too many mistakes,” the way you resist it is to answer, “No, thanks. God’s mercy is bigger than any mistake. My best days are still in front of me.” Don’t assist the enemy; resist him. When he tells you, “You don’t deserve to be blessed. Look what you’ve done,” resist him by declaring,” I am the righteousness of God. I am forgiven. I am redeemed.” When the enemy says, “Well, you blew it. You knew better, and now you’re guilty,” tell him, “There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. I asked God for forgiveness, and He not only forgave me, but He doesn’t remember it. I’m going to live guilt-free, confidently, securely, holy, blamelessly, righteously, and honorably in Jesus’ Name.”
   
A Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You that when the accuser tries to dump a load of guilt on me, I can say with authority, ‘Condemnation is not acceptable here. Jesus paid the price.’ I am far from perfect, but I will not drag yesterday’s failures into today. I am forgiven. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Comments:
Several things come to mind about this as a learning curve.   First Off, a good in depth knowledge of what God says is right and wrong is needed.   As the heart is deceitfully wicked and has to be retrained from the truth of this world of Adam to the truth of the Word of God.  It is God’s Truth that sets us free.   Adam’s truth brings us into bondage.  We have all grown up with Adam who elected to be a disciple of lucifer and suffered a lot of pain and bondage’s.  It takes about 30 time in agreeing seriously with the Truth of God before the heart (ed, sub-conscious) even begins to think you are serious about a change in direction.  Some times even months go by before the heart demonstrates a change of a major direction in the way of living.“As a man thinks in his heart so is he.”  “Out of the heart proceed the issues of life.”  How to put on the heart of Christ Jesus?

Quick story about this, In the Army, I could out cuss the best.  Fully ½ of my vocabulary was unfit for my mother’s dinner table.   So when I got saved in 1955 I knew it was wrong for a Christian to talk that way so did the best I could with eating my words sometimes.  But they were still etched down deep in my mind and heart.   Then in 1968 I was gifted with the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and a new dimension of power came over me.  One day later I was running to get something done on my little farm in Pleasant Hill, Or. and I miss-gaged gaged the tread on my T340 dozer and hit the track dead on in the center of my right knee cap.  Boy!!! did that hurt as I fell to the ground and I let out a very Loud yell!!! “Praise The LORD,” “Thank you Jesus” !!!!  and I stopped in shock,  and the pain quickly left with no damage at all.  But my sponge got squeezed and out came was what was inside and it really shocked me.  I had no idea of how the Holy Spirit managed to do that, but HE did and I was free of profanity.   So all of those gatherings around God’s Word that I went to in the late 60s’ revivals had  totally changed my heart.  I was really experiencing being a new man in Christ Jesus.  Of course that was just the beginning of my many needed changes.   And at 88 I am still in the Holy Spirit’s  class room of change every day.   And I am sure, not the best student.

Second thought is our free will.   To stop and ask ourselves, “What would Jesus do” in a given decision.  What habits are good and what are not.   It takes about a month to change a habit.  So a lots of times we go for the darkness without even thinking about it.  James 3 talks about our tongue as being a world of sin.  And if we learn to control our tongue, the rest is easy.  I do not have the space here to copy James 3 for you so please commit to reading James 3 in the Amplified   https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=James+3&version=AMPC

Becoming in the Image and Likeness of God in Christ Jesus is a life journey.  Once you make Christ Jesus really your LORD then the Holy Spirit begins the process of, with your permission, changing you from being a child of Adam into a child of God.  Jesus was and is and will ever be the 1st born of this new family of God.   HE is the 1st born of many brethren.  You have been invited to join the family of God ,  if you want to.  But it will mean change, repentance.  Many things of this world will need to be pruned off and much of God will replace what has been removed.  We purchased a very distressed house 3 yrs. ago.  Had to even take out the cabinets, doors and window and some walls and all the kitchen and bath fixtures and replace them.  Now the house Is a home for us.  God want to move into your distressed house and make it HIS home.  But it is totally up to you and your comfort zone.  But if HE moves in, expect a complete remodeling and enjoy it.  It will make you fit for living in HIS new eternal Home of Love, Peace and Righteousness for eternity.  This whole world is up for a total remodeling very soon anyway.  Can only keep what the Holy Spirit cleans up as well.  And if you OK the total remodel, you even get the gift of a new eternal body to live in.

Negative Chatter
With social media, so many people can hide behind being anonymous and say hurtful, critical things to try to make you feel small, unattractive, and not good enough. At times it may seem as though there’s a campaign against someone, but it’s usually just a handful of bullies, haters, and envious people. You can’t stop that from coming, but you can ignore it. Let it bounce right off you.   The trick of the enemy is to try to deceive you into thinking about it all the time, and then it contaminates your life. Don’t let the poison in. Don’t even bother to read it when it gets negative. Don’t call a friend and ask them what someone might be saying about you. Don’t let your heart be troubled; let God take care of it. You don’t have to defend yourself. God is your vindicator. Just run your race. Stay focused on moving forward, and He will take care of the rest.
   
A Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You that You are my vindicator, and  You will protect my reputation as I keep on honoring You. Help me to let any negative chatter bounce off me and not read it or listen to it. I believe that You will handle it Your way. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Trouble is every where on planet earth like our new CCP virus.   Unseen and like glue trouble is everywhere.  Jesus even noted that HIS words would be adding to the problem.  In Matt.10:32 HE said this, “Therefore, everyone who acknowledges Me before men and confesses Me [[k] out of a state of oneness with Me], I will also acknowledge him before My Father Who is in heaven and [l] confess [that I am abiding in] him.  But whoever denies and disowns Me before men, I also will deny and disown him before My Father Who is in heaven.  34 Do not think that I have come to bring peace upon the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.  35 For I have come to part asunder a man from his father, and a daughter from her mother, and a [m] newly married wife from her mother-in-law—  36 And a man’s foes will be they of his own household.  37 He who loves [and [n] takes more pleasure in] father or mother more than [in] Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves [and takes more pleasure in] son or daughter more than [in] Me is not worthy of Me;  38 And he who does not take up his cross and follow Me [[o] cleave steadfastly to Me, conforming wholly to My example in living and, if need be, in dying also] is not worthy of Me.  39 Whoever finds his [[p] lower] life will lose it [ the higher life ], and whoever loses his [lower] life on My account will find it [the higher life].  40 He who receives and welcomes and accepts you receives and welcomes and accepts Me, and he who receives and welcomes and accepts Me receives and welcomes and accepts Him Who sent Me.  41 He who receives and welcomes and accepts a prophet because he is a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward, and he who receives and welcomes and accepts a righteous man because he is a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward.”  And this is so very true if we truly acknowledge HIM, there is going to be trouble.  

Sunday, yesterday at the Farmers Market the first stand that I came to was selling plants.  I was looking for some lace leaf bamboo.  So I ask the lady and she seemed knowledgeable but did not have any.  So I pulled out one of my tracts and wrote my name and phone number on it and ask her to call me if she found it again.  She froze, and said, “You are not voting for Trump are you.  I told here I really don’t think the election is about Trump but about the type of government.  We are either voting for a Constitutional Govt. or a Socialist kind of Govt.  She went into a rage.  I had to walk away…  Obviously she had drunk the Koolaid.  Then for the rest of my walk through the Mkt. I was a little more hesitant in pulling out my tracts.  It was a New age War Zone that I was not really prepped for.  I have only had 3 people turn down my “LIGHT” tract over many years now and one was yesterday, that is out of 3,000 tracts that I have had printed for about  .10 cents each with only scriptures on light.

And where ever we go where Jesus is the core expression of our life, we are going to be in trouble with the world.  But with Jesus I get to spend eternity with my Creator and have peace.  But with the world, only trouble and eternal darkness now and  forever.  Did come home with some really big mangoes and nice papayas…   But please do a word study on World with Bible Gateway.   James puts it this way: “ [Or] you do ask [God for them] and yet fail to receive, because you ask with wrong purpose and evil, selfish motives. Your intention is [when you get what you desire] to spend it in sensual pleasures.  4 You [are like] unfaithful wives [having illicit love affairs with the world and breaking your marriage vow to God]! Do you not know that being the world’s friend is being God’s enemy?   So whoever chooses to be a friend of the world takes his stand as an enemy of God.  5 Or do you suppose that the Scripture is speaking to no purpose that says, The Spirit Whom He has caused to dwell in us yearns over us and He yearns for the Spirit [to be welcome] with a jealous love?  James 4:3-5   And Apostle Peter puts it this way: “Once you were not a people [at all], but now you are God’s people; once you were unpitied, but now you are pitied and have received mercy.  11 Beloved, I implore you as aliens and strangers and exiles [in this world] to abstain from the sensual urges (the evil desires, the passions of the flesh, your lower nature) that wage war against the soul.  12 Conduct yourselves properly (honorably, righteously) among the Gentiles, so that, although they may slander you as evildoers, [yet] they may by witnessing your good deeds [come to] glorify God in the day of inspection [ [a] when God shall look upon you wanderers as a pastor or shepherd looks over his flock].

You’re Not on Your Own
God was about to take the Israelites into the Promised Land, but there were seven nations in their path that were bigger, stronger, and more powerful than the Israelites. Moses didn’t know what they were going to do. In the natural they could never defeat them. But God told them, “You don’t have to fight this in your own strength. I’m going to go before you and clear the path. I’m going to defeat your enemies so all you have to do is walk in and take the land.”  We all face situations where the odds are against us. It’s easy to think, This sickness…this debt…this addiction…these people coming against me are much more powerful. Don’t worry. God is going before you right now clearing the path. He’s making things happen that you couldn’t make happen. On your own you may be outnumbered, but you’re not on your own. The God who controls the universe says He will take care of your enemies.
  
A Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You that You’re defeating my enemies, and You’re bringing me into my Promised Land. Thank You that You’re going before me right now and clearing the path and doing what I cannot do on my own. I believe that the victory is on the way. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
   
Ken’s Thoughts:
Under the Law, Israel, over the years in Egypt,  become seriously in unity in the slavery of the bondage.  They had, under the lash, learned obedience and humility.  So when Moses came along as a deliverer, a type of Jesus, and even Moses gave a prophesy to that effect to watch for Jesus.  Deuteronomy 18:15,   ““The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your brothers—it is to him you shall listen.”  Israel had to wait for about 1443 years for it to happen, but happen it did.  Took 14 generations but no one has ever pinned down exactly what a generation was or had been in the past.  Now we, as Christians are waiting for His return.   His return for His church and His second advent to set up HIS Kingdom of a 1,000 years.  And like the 10 virgins waiting it is about 50/50.   Half of the Church may be full of faith and light and ready to go and have Holy Spirit oil in their bright lamps..   But then the other half has money their money in their pockets just in case He does not show.   They could have had the oil as did the others but they were cool and progressive.   And for a while had lit lamps, oil and money.  And probably thought the 100 per-centers were dumb to have all their money riding on this single event.  It did not seem possible that the Bridegroom would leave them stranded just because of a little oil, but HE did.

We have been invited into the promised land on the condition that we would be looking forward to living in the Promised Land as a primary purpose of our lives.   That not even a mother, sister or brother or wife would be able to take the place of prior importance to The Lord Jesus.  That every thing that we did would need to have that promises of God in our heart and the very center of our actions.   That we would not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from God..   In the past few days I have been turned down twice by people claiming to be Christian who had very little attraction to the Word of God in humility or obedience.  Paul puts it this way.  “ And how from your childhood you have had a knowledge of and been acquainted with the sacred Writings, which are able to instruct you and give you the understanding for salvation which comes through faith in Christ Jesus [through the [a] leaning of the entire human personality on God in Christ Jesus in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness].  16 Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God’s will in thought, purpose, and action),  17 So that the man of God may be complete and proficient, well fitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work, 2 Tim.3:15-17.   And Jesus put it this way.  ”I have told you these things, that My joy and delight may be in you, and that your joy and gladness may be of full measure and complete and overflowing. John 15:11.  So feeling incomplete?  Perhaps Jesus is not in the center of your life as LORD?  Perhaps you have been side tract by the enemy with lust and stuff as is most of the world.  Of a week of 168 hours, how many hours do you put into His and your Kingdom of eternity.  You only get to keep what you send ahead.  1 Cor.3:11-15.   (This scripture gave me faith for His Kingdom in 1955. ) You might want to site down and check your oil level?  Rev.3:12-31.

PROMISES, GREAT & PRECIOUS  “WORTH CONSIDERING” 10/8/20

Whoever has no rule over his own spirit is like a city broken down, without walls.  Prov.25:28.
   
Build Up the Walls
When you let your feelings control you—anger, impatience, lust, a negative attitude—your walls of defense are down. The enemy can come in and run your life. God has given us self-control. Quit saying, “I can’t stop it. It’s too hard.” You have the ability, but self-control is like a muscle—if you never discipline yourself to walk away when you feel like taking the easy way out, then your self-control muscle is very weak. You have to start exercising it by saying no to your flesh. You have a destiny to fulfill. But as long as you are controlled by these ordinary impulses, God can’t release the amazing things He has in store for your future. Spiritual maturity has nothing to do with how many years you’ve been in church or how long you’ve known the Lord. It has everything to do with what kind of fruit you are displaying. Are you ruling over your emotions?
   
A Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You that one of the fruit of the Spirit working in me is self-control. Thank You that I don’t have to be a slave to feelings that have tried to control me for years. I believe that as I say no to the flesh, I will reach my highest potential. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
   
Ken’s Thoughts:
Self-Control for me is strongly attached to Free-Will.  And the Bible teaches us that if we have a lack of vision, we will not make it to light speed with God.  So in the Bible, God, through HIS prophets in both the Old and New Testament has set Solid Promises in place to give us an over view vision from HIS eternal dimension and perspective..

Through the prophets and apostles HE confirms to us that our dimension of time is only temporary.  That we have a very short time in this dimension to decide for disobedience or obedience in the free exercise of our free-will.   That we are here to lean how to use our free-will in a positive and a righteous manner.  That there will be eternal consequences as to our choices made in time.  And that those choices will be eternal.   So what are some of God’s plans for us if we come into love, faith, humility and obedience to HIM.

First off Jesus shared with us, 2,000 years ago, that HE was going to build an eternal house for us and even told us how big it would be: 1,500 miles by 1,500 miles by 1,500 miles high.  He talked about clear as glass,  gold being used for the streets.  He shared that we were to become HIS “Rod of Iron” as kings, priests and ambassadors in ruling over the earth in an Eden in peace for a thousand year.  He shared that by faith He would save us and forgive and empower us and then every thing that we did because of our Love for Him He was going to reward us for, even a cup of water given because of our obedience and love for HIM.  He shared that we, as HIS Church-Bride-Body would also be used to boot lucifer and his minions out of the heavens.  He shared about having a big wedding feast with us and blessing us and gifting us for what we did for HIM here on earth in time.  That if we would share HIS truth, HIS word of freedom that we could join with HIM in the harvest of eternal souls for HIS Kingdom.  He also promised to be with us in the Holy Spirit though our time of testing and for eternity.  And that HE would give us supernatural Grace to help us overcome the world as HE overcame the world.  He even challenged us that we could be like HIM and learn to do what HE did.  That if we found HIS commandments and kept them that HE would honor us before HIS Heavenly Father the ultimate source of all that is created in the universe.  That if we would dig into HIS word and accept HIS promises as being True and Faithful that HE would even allow us to grow up into being like HIM for all eternity.  That HIS vision was to create a people who are like HIM with free-will that have chosen to be righteous and creative in all thing to the point of never changing.  And  to ultimately become HIS eternal family and a joint heir with HIM in all that has been created in the universe.

So the big challenge for us is to come to be so sure of HIS promises that we are willing to become centered in Christ Jesus as our LORD.  That HIS promises are a better choice than to live out our lives simple being self-centered.  All babies start off with the Adamic nature of being self-centered.  And as we get older we learn to control the me, mine nature to some extent.  But Christ Jesus is asking us to die totally to that old Adamic nature in exchange for the Nature of God, with HIS help, of course.  The process of redemption and restoration to God’s vision can only happen as we decide to truly make Christ Jesus both LORD & SAVIOR for real.  With permission I sometimes ask a person, “If a bolt of lightening hit you and you became a pile of ashes, where would your soul go.”   So send me your answer, if you are interested in the above? And the second question that I ask is, “WHY?  ken@trinity-aloha.org   Most so called Christians find an in-between Comfort Zone and  rationalize and even con volute scripture so that they feel OK.  But this is a lie of the enemy as God will not be through pruning and training us until we are like Jesus.  And God will not violate our free-will, we can bail at any time, but HE will never fence us in. Heb.6     So If you do believe in the Precious Promises I challenge you to seek as I do every day to become 100% like Jesus, 1 John 4:17

SANCTIFICATION & HOLINESS, “WORTH CONSIDERING” 10/7/20    Ken<><

Today’s Scripture          (Across my desk this morning from a church in Texas.)
“The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are, and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No destructive plague will touch you when I strike Egypt.”  (Exodus 12:13, NIV)
   
A Place of Protection
In the last plague that God sent on Egypt in order to get the Pharaoh to let the people of Israel go free, God told Moses that the Israelites should mark their doorposts with a lamb’s blood so that the death angel could “pass over” their houses and spare them from the death of all the firstborn of Egypt. You can imagine how careful they were to follow the exact instructions.  Today, have you put the blood of the Lamb of God over your house, so to speak? When you say, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord,” in effect you’re putting that blood over your doorpost. God says no harm will come near your dwelling. When you’ve accepted the sacrifice of Christ’s salvation, you’re in a place of protection. No weapon formed against you will prosper. Because of the blood of the Son of the living God, there’s a blood line that the enemy cannot cross.
   
A Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You that I am covered by the blood of Jesus. Thank You that I have Your protection over every area of my life and family. I believe that You have put a blood line of protection around me and no weapon formed against me will prosper. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

Ken’s Thoughts:
Much of the Old Testament is lived as prophetical view of the future.  The Tabernacle of Moses in the Wilderness was the original form for the New Testament Church in Acts.2:41-43.  And the above scripture gives us a very in depth physical description of Jesus being the Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world and becomes the light of the Kingdom of God as per Rev.21:23.  So Apostle Paul teaches us that the Old Testament was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, Gal.3:24 and that when faith comes we are no longer under a schoolmaster, Gal.3:25.   So the Old Treatment confirms the New Testament and we find most of what Christ Jesus taught is also taught in the Old Testament.  But that Christ Jesus Himself became the real of the prophetical type of the blood that covered our doorway if you will.  So the sacrifice is done, completed and by faith applied to cover our sins.    But then there is the process of sanctification for the Holy Spirit to guide us into true righteousness in the way we live our lives.   If we will allow the Holy Spirit to do so it is HIS task to help us become in the Image and Likeness of God.   To bring us up to speed in becoming like Jesus.  It is just the beginning of the changes that we need when we make Christ Jesus our LORD & SAVIOR and our faith has to be for both as in Romans 10:9-11,  “…because if you acknowledge and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord [recognizing His power, authority, and majesty as God], and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart a person believes [in Christ as Savior] resulting in his justification [that is, being made righteous—being freed of the guilt of sin and made acceptable to God]; and with the mouth he acknowledges and confesses [his faith openly], resulting in and confirming [his] salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him [whoever adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Him] will not be disappointed [in his expectations].” 

But then Apostle Paul takes us from salvation on into holiness.  2 Cor. 7:1, “Therefore, since we have these [great and wonderful] promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, completing holiness [living a consecrated life—a life set apart for God’s purpose] in the fear of God.  and “… put on the new self [the regenerated and renewed nature], created in God’s image, [godlike] in the righteousness and holiness of the truth [living in a way that expresses to God your gratitude for your salvation]. & …”so that He may strengthen and establish your hearts without blame in holiness in the sight of our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all His saints (God’s people).” & “…that each of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor [being available for God’s purpose and separated from things profane]” & “…For God has not called us to impurity, but to holiness [to be dedicated, and set apart by behavior that pleases Him, whether in public or in private].” &   “…For our earthly fathers disciplined us for only a short time as seemed best to them; but He disciplines us for our good, so that we may share His holiness.

I spent 13 years in a church that taught Sanctification and Holiness was a gift that we received when we were saved.   A lot of church members now believe in that tradition and it is wrong.  Sanctification and Holiness is a growth factor to actually bring us into the Image and Likeness of God.  So if we are not under self discipline or the Father’s discipline unto holiness, we are not yet the children of the Heavenly Father by faith.

Hodges, which mandates that all states recognize same-sex marriage, Fox News reports. Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito said Monday that the mandate issued cannot be found in the constitution; their statement suggests they might be willing to vote to overturn the ruling if given the opportunity.    Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden has stated he would want to pass legislation cementing Roe v Wade, the Supreme Court case which legalized abortion, as the “law of the land.”

Show Your Scars
After Jesus’ resurrection, Thomas had declared that he wouldn’t believe unless he felt the wounds in Jesus’ hands and side. When Jesus appeared to Thomas, He held out His hands and said, “Touch My scars.” Thomas fell down and said, “Lord, I believe!”   Maybe somebody needs to touch your scars to believe. Maybe they need to hear your story of how God brought you through the sickness, through the divorce, through the mistake or loss. Don’t hide your scars; show your scars. Your scars can inspire someone else to believe. There’s healing in your scars. When you see other people who are wounded, do like Jesus did and tell them, “Touch my scars.” Let them know that what God did for you, He can do for them. When they hear how God healed you, restored you, and blessed you, that will breathe new life into their spirit. God didn’t show you mercy just for your sake; those scars are for somebody else.
   
A Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You for the scars that Jesus bore in His hands and side for my redemption. Thank You for healing me of the wounds that I have had. Help me to show my scars and use my scars to encourage others of what You can do for them. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Thought:
My, this is such a needed message for all of us hear and to consider and do as guided by the Holy Spirit.   And I personally know that it is not easy to do.  At my age, I have scars all over me from one thing or another.  But nothing like the interior soul scars that we are considering today.  And I am tempted to include a few, but then was checked by the Holy Spirit as HE wants to guide me more specifically as needed and not publish another “confessional.”  But you do get the drift and some times the scars are good memories.  That I can share.   I use to love to go rock hunting and could see the hand of GOD in the buried treasure.  One day I was out in the Desert with my big hammer and chisel banging on some rock looking for hidden geodes and heard what sounded like a 22 firing in the distance.  And then something hit the big joint on my right thumb holding the hammer.  So though I was just grazed by a rock shard and thought nothing of it and it healed up without a trace.  Three year later I felt a strange little lump so next time I went to a Dr. I showed it to him.  He gave me a pain shot, opened it up and out came a little piece of steel from my chisel from my Mojave days.  So today there is a scar and I remember those wonderful days in the desert.  So I have good memory scars, stupid scars, dangerous scars and painful scars.  Never thought to much about them until today.  Got one from a boat ride up the inland passage way to Alaska, what a good memory that was.  Got a big one where I let a stupid Dr. use a laser to take out something under the skin that turned out to be just a small splinter.  So the story goes, we all have inside and outside scars.   The inside scars are harder to deal with as we can only find them when we realize that when we touch them we tend to go off track.  We become very self protective or perhaps even aggressive.  Or perhaps we go hide.  But we realize we are not free that we are running a program good or bad that is really not us.  Paul writes about this in Romans 7:14-20   “ We know that the Law is spiritual; but I am a creature of the flesh [carnal, unspiritual], having been sold into slavery under [the control of] sin.  15 For I do not understand my own actions [I am baffled, bewildered]. I do not practice or accomplish what I wish, but I do the very thing that I loathe [ [b] which my moral instinct condemns].  16 Now if I do [habitually] what is contrary to my desire, [that means that] I acknowledge and agree that the Law is good (morally excellent) and that I take sides with it.  17 However, it is no longer I who do the deed, but the sin [principle] which is at home in me and has possession of me.  18 For I know that nothing good dwells within me, that is, in my flesh. I can will what is right, but I cannot perform it. [I have the intention and urge to do what is right, but no power to carry it out.]  19 For I fail to practice the good deeds I desire to do, but the evil deeds that I do not desire to do are what I am [ever] doing.  20 Now if I do what I do not desire to do, it is no longer I doing it [it is not myself that acts], but the sin [principle] which dwells within me [ [c] fixed and operating in my soul]. 

And I would strongly suggest, if interested, to Read.  Romans chapters 1, 7, 8 to see how to have victory and to level the playing field.  Otherwise you may spend your life time with someone hitting your trip wires and going into an obsession mode of saying and doing things that are not really the truth or helpful for anyone.  A member of my family hated Ma Bell Telephone Co. And if we made a long distance call from his home, reverse charges, we would always get 30 minutes of anti Ma Bell.  So we avoided the trip wire by using the payphone down at the corner.  So check out your trip wires as they will greatly shorten the effectiveness of your life and perhaps even void you trip to HIS Kingdom.  Past pains from relationship that have gone sour are a must to check.  As we tend to use the past darkness of our past in painting the future even if we were wrong.  And if we do we may miss out on God’s Blessings for us.  We need to totally clear the past in order to have a good and clean future with our Creator.  And you can not be an atheist unless you know all about everything in creation for 15 billion light years in every direction.  So you should be logically looking to see why you are here and where are you going?   If not, you have your head in the sand.  Intelligent design is everywhere you look.  I was looking at a very intricate bug the other day,  yes, must be a GOD.

Did not find the sparking blog today from the church in Texas so guess need to go it alone today.   And as I am now 88 and getting closer to graduation, what could I write the is totally important and “Worth Considering?”

Jesus said something in HIS teachings that has always been a special light for me.
“And you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free.”  John 8:32   Three times in John 8, Jesus mentions that HE was the “I AM” of God…  That HE was the one who gave the 10 Commandments to Moses.  And they missed it.  And in fact I missed it to for many decades as it was not taught as revealed as in the context of the Greek.   Seems to me that the Enemy has been working overtime to keep us stupid,  divided and controllable.  

So 1st on my list.
Know your enemy.  How can you battle unless you know were your battle field really is.  That means getting honest with yourself.  We have people calling themselves Christian when Jesus is not really LORD.   So there are very secure people in what they believe about their good works as all that is needed for a deed to the Kingdom.  When the Bible clearly spells out it is having a relationship with the Holy Spirit and Jesus that get’s the ticket.   It is faith in the Precious Promises that helps us in being changed into the image and likeness of God in Righteousness.

But many have departed from the Holy Scriptures to make their own denominationally based building dedicated to their own traditions.  It is amazing the difference between the Early Church home forum gathering and the spectator theaters that many call Church today.   It is not that they are wrong in all cases.  There were many big open air theater for evangelism and the ministry of truth  But there is enough wrong today so that folks get bored and quit seeking  to find the power of GOD elsewhere and some even return to the  encouraged through the Holy Bible.  But many fall away and become Gospel hardened.

Some Church members are taught to make Jesus Savior because they don’t want to be excluded from heaven.  They are told that is all they need to do.    But the Bible teaches us to make Jesus LORD.   And although God is totally all powerful and wants to lovingly teach us Obedience and Righteousness as with Adam.  Yet it is only through faith and love and your personal decision for humility, obedience and righteousness that God can do so.     It can only happen as we are being encourage to learn to  run to God and not from God.   It is only though the Holy Spirit that we can be trained in humility, obedience and how to use the power of God to help each other.  This means that we must spend time in learning about HIS great promises and in the process come into faith to want to become obedient to them as being real.   It is only then that we really can start the process of learning to live in God’s Kingdom of Righteousness and Power and become sanctified.
It is only then that we will be a match for the Kingdom of Righteousness that is being built.

So the core of really being a Christian is when in God’s Truth, Jesus is LORD become the core of our being.  That we give up the rights to control our lives to God.   This means the stuff we got from Adam of pride and rebellion has to go.  Truth comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.   It is finding all the truth in the Word of God and building on it that we become like HIM.   On any given subject we need to find the whole picture from Geneses to Revelation.   (Actually easy to do with Bible Gateway.)   We need it all to have all the facets of God’s Truth to see HIS TRUTH and be free.  This key is found in Isaiah 28,  precept upon precept and line upon line.  And the chapter goes on to say that God is going to wash away all of the deception in the resurrection.  It is like the old saying:  Content without Context is pretext.   Context is to take the time to get the overview before you make a decision.   And unless you personally know the all the truth,  you are not qualified to judge.   It is like being an atheist is really stupid as you must know all about everything in all of creation to make the judgment that God does not exist.   If you prefer to excuse yourself from the spiritual world, the best you can say is, ” I really don’t  know.”  Or further to be honest,  “I am not really impressed by what I have seen so far.”  But then don’t you really want to know, deep down.  If there is a door into another room to eternity, don’t you want to be sure you find it?

D.L. Moody rarely spoke of His Baptism in the Spirit which took place in New York just after his church was burned down in the great Chicago fire of 1871. It radically changed his ministry, earning him the moniker, “Crazy Moody.” Yet, his preaching brought thousands to faith, and Moody Bible Institute in Chicago has educated thousands more for ministry since its birth.  The third great awakening saw God radically empowering believers by His Spirit to usher in a harvest in their generation which continues to impact society today.  George Mueller began a movement of orphanages and Christian schools, and amazingly, was accused of raising the poor out of their ‘station in life’ as he educated over 120,000 children.  Elsewhere in Great Britain, William Booth’s Salvation Army outreach was birthed out of the third great awakening. His concern for rampant alcoholism led to the prohibition movement of the 1930s. Riding on a wagon through the streets, Booth called on alcoholics to stop drinking and come to faith in Jesus. His success led former drunks to coin the phrase, “I’m on the wagon”.
