ALOHA SAINTS, FAMILY & FRIENDS,  Beloved of God and me,   John 3:16

LORD JESUS CHRIST,
“WORTH CONSIDERING” 11/18/20,  From Ken Smith<><

Today’s Scripture        (Over my desk this morning from a church in Texas.)
The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD, and He delights in his way.  Ps. 37:23

Ordered Steps
Sometimes God will inconvenience you in order to help somebody else. Instead of getting frustrated when our plans don’t work out, we need to remember that it’s not all about us. “I don’t like my job. The people are so negative. When is God going to move me out?” Maybe God has you there on purpose to let your light shine and be a good influence on them.   Quit fighting everything you don’t like. If God has you there, He’s ordered your steps. It may be uncomfortable, but instead of resisting it, trying to pray it away, why don’t you embrace it? Say, “God, this is where You have me right now, so I’m going to be my best. I may not like it, but I know a secret: it’s all good.” If you’ll stay in faith, everything that was meant to stop you, God is going to use to push you forward. He’s bringing it all together right now.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that You never allow anything out of which You can’t bring good. Thank You that You purposefully order my steps in the way that is best for me. I believe that You have me right where You want me, and it’s working for me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Comments:
It will take a lot of real maturity and faith to embrace this teaching today.  Frankly, I am still working on it today even at my age.  Jesus warned us that HE would bring a sword into our families.  Matt. 10:34-42,     Long…. but well “Worth Considering” AMP   “Therefore, the one who [j] confesses and acknowledges Me before men [as Lord and Savior, affirming a state of oneness with Me], that one I will also confess and acknowledge before My Father who is in heaven. 33 But the one who denies and rejects Me before men, that one I will also deny and reject before My Father who is in heaven.34 “Do not think that I have come to bring peace on the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword [of division between belief and unbelief]. 35 For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; 36 and a man’s enemies will be the members of his [own] household [when one believes and another does not].  37 “[k] He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. 38 And he who does not take his [l] cross [expressing a willingness to endure whatever may come] and follow Me [believing in Me, conforming to My example in living and, if need be, suffering or perhaps dying because of faith in Me] is not worthy of Me. 39 Whoever finds his life [in this world] will [eventually] lose it [through death], and whoever loses his life [in this world] for My sake will find it [that is, life with Me for all eternity].   40 “He who receives and welcomes you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me. 41 He who receives and welcomes a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward; and he who receives a righteous (honorable) man because he is a righteous man will receive a righteous man’s reward. 42 And whoever gives to one of these little ones [ these who are humble in rank or influence] even a cup of cold water to drink because he is my disciple, truly I say to you, he will not lose his reward.”

It is very interesting that we can forget so very easily the words of Jesus and still think of Him as the LORD (King, Boss, Ruler) of our lives.  It is so very easy to live a life of hypocrisy or acting.  Don’t you find that to be true?  Very few of us are free from hiding stuff in the dark rooms of our mind and heart.  And yet Jesus came for that exact purpose, to set us free.   We love to stay in our little “Comfort Zones” even if it is spiritually dangerous for us.  And we go to battle with anyone that challenges us to move along on up stream.  The clean water is always up stream.  The swamp is down stream and full of critters that see us as part of the food chain.  In this life, in this world there is no comfort  zone for us.  We are all pilgrims passing through into eternity.   John 12:25: Jesus: “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone [just one grain, never more]. But if it dies, it produces much grain and yields a harvest. 25 The one who loves his life [eventually] loses it, but the one who hates his life in this world [and is concerned with pleasing God ] will keep it for life eternal. 26 If anyone serves Me, he must [continue to faithfully] follow Me [without hesitation, holding steadfastly to Me, conforming to My example in living and, if need be, suffering or perhaps dying because of faith in Me ] ;  and wherever I am [in heaven’s glory], there will My servant be also. If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.”

PRAISE PEACE & POWER,   “WORTH CONSIDERING” 11/17/20       From Ken<><

Today’s Scripture              (Across my desk from a church in Texas this morning.)
“And when they make a long blast with the ram’s horn, when you hear the sound of the trumpet, then all the people shall shout with a great shout, and the wall of the city will fall down flat.” (Joshua 6:5, ESV)

Praise Brings Down Walls
Jericho was the last city that stood between the Israelites and the Promised Land. Its towering city walls were so wide that chariots rode on top of them. It looked impossible. God told Joshua to have them march around the wall for six days, then on the seventh day on the seventh time around, they were to give a great shout of praise. It didn’t make sense to them, but God was saying, “If you’ll praise Me while the wall is still standing, you’ll see things begin to change.”  There’s always a Jericho that stands between you and your Promised Land, one last obstacle that looks insurmountable. Will you trust God enough to praise Him in spite of a bad medical report, to thank Him for freedom when you still have the addiction? You’re so close, but you don’t see how you can get passed it. Don’t complain. Turn up your praise. Praise is what’s going to bring the wall down.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that no obstacle is so high and wide that it can withstand Your touch. Thank You that You’re fighting my battles, and  You hold victory in store for the upright. I believe that You will get me to where I’m supposed to be. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Comment’s
Again, a good message to consider.  Praise to God is the sacrifice of our will & understanding.  It is us putting ourselves on God’s side regardless of how foolish and improbable the effort may seem.  David  (Ps.119) learned this lesson well, the Psalms are full of Praise to God and much of it when he was being hunted down by Saul to kill him.  If I am tempted to be depressed I try to remember to turn on some really deep praise music:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LHXHncArKcM   And of course with the reminder of Holiness:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u88AiyFKJ6g   And of course, let it rain:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AG7v8jJKAOk  And:   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVFzxazTQNM   Worship to the Lamb of God…..

And if you just did this then you should be feeling much better as also am I.  Of course each of us are different that what brings peace, love and God’s Grace into our lives can be different.   But Grace also allows us to enjoy each other in our walk together towards the Kingdom of God in Light and Righteousness.  Listen to a bunch of marines singing the “Days of Elijah”   Some are really free and some are not but they all seem to be into it:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hjZ_IlP9c5A  And of course the alone and peaceful side of the coin:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TT5u2xVEO5M

It is good to take 5 and hang 10 and relax a little in the arms of God each day.   We are all different but with the same needs.  We all have God shaped hole inside of us that only HE can fill.  We do try to stuff it with other stuff but it always falls out.  But when we really 100% make Jesus our LORD then our life is in HIS hands as it was designed to be and we can find real peace and contentment in even the small things of life.  And little is much when God is in it.  Floyd was used by the Holy Spirit to bring me to Jesus in 1955 by only his love of the Lord.  He took such good care of a little church for Jesus that I was able to really see Jesus in Floyd.  Floyd was not a talker but a doer.  And that spoke so loud to me that I had to find out about what had changed him.  He was a janitor and did his work (way underpaid) like Jesus came to church each Sunday morning.  I never went to church there,  only borrowed the piano.  But I sure met Jesus there……  And I fell in love with the Jesus I saw in Floyd.  And ask so many questions that he got Dick to help.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HwKCvuorI9E

So we are here on earth and can choose to be the friend of God or not.  To enthrone Him as our LORD and to allow HIM to live HIS life in us so as to touch the lives of others for HIM.  We are either self centered or we are Jesus centered.  There is only 2 options and we have only one life time to figure it out.   And when we choose to make Jesus LORD, then our praise and worship allows HIS grace to flow into our needs and give us HIS victory.  Romans 7 @ 8 is a good study concerning the new birth that Jesus taught to us in John 3.

My deep feeling is that until the Church comes into the maturity of Eph.4:11-16 and John 17 that we will still be experiencing the birth pains that we find around us today.  I keep writing about the Prophesy of Jesus in Matt. 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21 as being the beginning of what is happening around the world today.   I have written a paper of 11 pages on, “The Return of the King” but few seem to want to read about it?  Even for free.  Bible teaches, “Freely received, freely give.”  And the election one way or the other will change nothing.  Only that persecution will be stronger for Christian if atheistic socialism gains more of a foothold.  But our time on earth is very short even if we get the full Gen.6:3   120 years that God meant for us to enjoy.   But if you believe the Bible your soul is eternal and you headed for eternal light or eternal darkness?  Are you Jesus centered or self centered?  Your soul placement for eternity is made during your life time..  And Jesus said, “Few find it.”

FAITH = EVIDENCE & SUBSTANCE

ALOHA SAINTS, FAMILY & FRIENDS,   Beloved of God and me,   John 3:16

FAITH = EVIDENCE & SUBSTANCE,  “WORTH CONSIDERING” 11/16/20   From Ken<><

Today’s Scripture                      (Across my desk this morning from a church in Texas.)
“You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him. But go, tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.”   (Mark 16:6–7, NIV)

Not “Here” But “There”
When Mary Magdalene and two other women went to Jesus’ tomb after His death, an angel said to them, “He is not here. He has risen! He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see Him.” Notice that the angel said, “He is not here. He is there.” The angel was saying, in effect, “I know you’re hurting, but don’t stay here. Something better is waiting for you there.”   In other words, “here” is the disappointment, the bad medical report, the dream that didn’t work out. If you stay “here,” you’ll be discouraged. You have to go “there.” Sometimes the reason God doesn’t comfort us in the “here,” in the disappointment is because He doesn’t want us to stay where we are. “There” is where God is waiting for you. “There” is where the blessing is. The disappointment is simply a season. God has already gone ahead and lined up the next level. Move forward into “there.”

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that You are always going ahead in my life, lining up the next level, and You’re not in the past. Thank You that I don’t have to be stuck in the “here.” I believe that You are waiting for me in the “there” with restoration and blessing. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Comments:
Every day we use faith, real faith.  Every time I climb into my truck I have faith that the motor and the breaks will work.  Every time I drive our crazy Mamalahoa Hwy.  I must have faith for all of the other drivers to stay on their side of the road.  And there is no fence to keep them from my side of the road.  And I have had times with my faith did not hold up.  One day I was driving north with a load of gravel in my truck and this guy was waiting at a left turn crossing up ahead so I thought all was OK but at 38mph he pulled out just as I got there and totaled his car and my truck.  But got another truck and still driving, now that is faith.

God, by faith, created energy into matter and into making you and me in physical form so we could learn to have faith and live with HIM.  We were created/conceived on planet earth to learn how to use faith so we could become like HIM.  The New Testament if full of conditional promises of if we do this than God will do that.  And it is all good.  But like driving my truck there is a learning curve.   I learned to read and then could learn to read a map or know what the signs meant on the road.   I learned humility and obedience in respecting the other driver and that if I don’t there will be deadly issues.  Some things I learned by experience and most of the time that was painful.   If I learn by faith, then things go a lot smoother.

So in the spiritual world where God lives there is also much to learn about faith and how it works.  To know about faith is not the same as to have faith.   Head Faith is to check out a bridge. To have real faith is to drive over the bridge.  Most of the time with have only head faith and try to get something done and nothing happens and then we blame GOD for not showing up.  But head faith is only wishful thinking.  It is not the same as really knowing.  With me I am still learning about faith and growing in faith but if I pray for a back and it does not get healed I would be surprised and wonder why not.  And then start counseling as to why not and 95% of the time the leg grows out and the back is fixed by the Holy Spirit.  An\d I can tell if there is unbelief on the other side as it take a little longer to happen.  If the person has faith it is a very quick fix.   But with everything else I am still learning about faith.  Hebrews 11 is a great chapter on faith to help anyone grow in Kingdom Faith.  We are saved, sealed and empowered by faith.  Everything God has made including you and me is held together by HIS faith.  We have much to learn about faith.   And faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of GOD.  Get yourself a New Testament recording of the King James Bible by Alexander Scorby, you will love it and grow very quickly as you listen.   Much better for me than reading.  And can listen in my truck.

GIFTS OF GOD

ALOHA SAINTS, FAMILY AND FRIENDS,  Beloved of God and me,     John 3:16

GIFTS OF GOD,    “WORTH CONSIDERING”    11/13/20     From Ken Smith<><

Today’s Scripture       (Across my desk this morning from a church in Texas.)
Now an angel of the Lord said to Philip, “Go south to the road—the desert road—that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.”  (Acts 8:26, NIV)

It’s the Hand of God
Philip was having great success preaching the gospel in Samaria. It must not have made sense when an angel told him to go out to that desert road, but there was a man, the treasurer of Ethiopia, traveling by there in a chariot who was reading the book of Isaiah. When Philip explained to him that Isaiah was talking about how Jesus came as the Savior, the man believed, was baptized, and had his life changed forever.

Like this man, because you honor God, right now there’s a Philip chasing your chariot. There are blessings that God has ordained to track you down, people who will use their influence, their knowledge, and their experience to push you forward. When you take time to put God first, to go to the house of the Lord, don’t be surprised if on your way home, if sometime this week, sometime this month, Philip shows up—something unusual happens, an unexpected blessing. It’s the hand of God.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that You know where the good breaks are, the right connections, the opportunities that will thrust me into my purpose. Thank You that when I keep You first, Your goodness will rain down with blessings. I believe that Philip is already on the way. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Comments:   There are 180 + scriptures concerning gifts in the Bible most of them are noted in the New Testament.  James has ONE that come to mind as he writes his little, but very profound letter, in the New Testament: James 1:16-18   ”     Do not be misled, my beloved brothers and sisters. 17 Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of lights [the Creator and Sustainer of the heavens], in whom there is no variation [no rising or setting] or shadow [a] cast by His turning [for He is perfect and never changes]. 18 It was of His own will that He gave us birth [as His children] by the word of truth, so that we would be a kind of first fruits of His creatures [a prime example of what He created to be set apart to Himself—sanctified, made holy for His divine purposes].  And also in James:4:5-7 “Or do you think that the Scripture says to no purpose [a] that the [human] spirit which He has made to dwell in us lusts with envy? 6 But He gives us more and more grace [through the power of the Holy Spirit to defy sin and live an obedient life that reflects both our faith and our gratitude for our salvation]. Therefore, it says, “God is opposed to the proud and haughty, but [continually] gives [the gift of] grace to the humble [who turn away from self-righteousness].” 7 So submit to [the authority of] God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him] and he will flee from you.

So we have a very loving Creator who has created us to live with HIM if we will ask for HIS help in changing us.  That change comes through faith, humility and loving obedience in seeking HIS light and righteous presence in our lives.  The closer we get to HIM the more like HIM we become.  The adage in the world is that we tend to become like the people with which we are comfortable in associating with.  For God or Evil.  For Light or for Darkness.   And as each of us has been give a freewill God will not manipulate our decision.  We can easily see HIS hand in the things that are created.  And so if we seek, ask and knock He will share HIS wisdom & power with us.  Problem is that we need to return to the source.  We have been led off of the path by the godless traditions of men who seek to have their own little religious kingdoms.  And so most of us have thrown out the BABY with the bathwater and totally missed the boat..    Better take another look at the source GOD gave us…!!!!

FREEDOM IN GOD

FREEDOM IN GOD,    “WORTH CONSIDERING”   11/12/20,    From Ken Smith<><

Today’s Scripture     (Across my desk this morning from a church in Texas.)
Asa conducted himself well before GOD, reviving the ways of his ancestor David. He cleaned house…and threw out all the idols his predecessors had made.  1 Kings 15:11-12

Clean House
King Asa took the throne of Judah and boldly removed the idols and pagan altars that his predecessors had allowed. He put a stop to what had been stopping Judah from prospering. When an army of a million men attacked Judah, Asa called out to God for help, and the Lord defeated that army with Judah taking an abundance of plunder.

Do you need to do some house cleaning? Are you letting things hang around that you know are not good? You need to put a stop to it before it stops you. You may need to remove the anger, the jealousy, the bitterness, a critical spirit. Remove it, and God will take you to a new level. He’ll make things happen that you could never make happen. Sometimes we think things on the outside are stopping us, but if we would look inside and remove what we know is not the best, we would see God’s favor in new ways.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that I can take the bold steps to remove those things I need to get out of my life. I can’t do it on my own, so I ask You for help to break and get rid of whatever needs to be removed. Help me clean my house. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Comments:
Really a great word today and well worth considering.   It reminded me or the 1970’s when the LORD was teaching me how to help the Hippies find HIM.  One young lady came to me one day with a baby that she did not know who the father was, if I remember correctly.   And very intently, she spoke to me and ask what I felt she should name her son.  I thought for a moment and remembered Asa.  So I shared Asa with her, she liked it, and he was named Asa and grew up in the ministry and really became like Asa.  It was a real gift to have been a part of that.  But we need more Asa’s in the world today.  More Holy people who can pray and have God answer by fire or what ever is needed.  In the above comments it is noted that to get on HOLY GROUND starts where we are standing.  And each part of our needed adjustments come from our heart faith in Believing in God’s Precious Promises.  For us to change we must have a vision of why to change.  We are not going to give up raiding the trash cans in the alley until we are sure that we are invited to a better dinner elsewhere.  So unless you are personally logging into the Word of God and holding God responsible for HIS precious promises as a trusted vision it is going to be difficult to change.  Also way back in the 70’s I put together a teaching on 10 steps to Freedom.  You can find the whole chapter at: www.trinity-aloha.org   Then link to ‘Keys To The Kingdom” and in the contents look for “10 Steps To Freedom.”  Below, find the 10 step headings that may be of interest as truly we all want to really be free from the darkness of this world.  Seems everything in this world want to bring us into bondage of some kind.   But personally,  I really enjoy every little piece of Freedom that I can get to better know HIM.
1.    Commitment, a 100% desire to be totally free.  To really see the bondage we are in.
2.    Transparency, a willingness to be totally honest with God.
3.    Salvation, to learn to have heart faith that God really loves you.
4.    Water Baptism, a public confession of faith of your desire to be free of this world.
5.    Spirit Baptism, By heart faith be filled with the Holy Spirit to do the work of God.
6.    House Cleaning, To remove from your ownership and influence any darkness.
7.    Confession, to evaluate your past in the light of God’s Word and totally dump it.
8.    To Renounce, to sever and renounce any and all controls from the past.  Some are even from our own family.
9.    Resist satan,   To learn that you have the authority of destroy the works of evil
10    Victory, To enjoy Reading Romans 8 and getting a true picture of what God has in mind for you if you are up for it.  Most are comfortable with the world and don’t care.  Jesus told us that only those who really want to go to live with HIM and are willing to change to be like HIM will make it.  No darkness allowed in heaven will be allowed.  It will be a place of peace and righteousness and the Love of God.

In addition to reinstating DACA, Biden has pledged to make Dreamers eligible for student loan grants.     Biden plans to “immediately rescind” current travel bands which restrict people from Muslim-majority countries from traveling it immigrating to the U.S. Biden has also vowed to support legislation that would effectively outlaw the restrictions.  Biden plans to rejoin WHO on his first day in the office and keep Dr. Fauci as a close advisor and maintain his current post as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.     Biden plans to rejoin the Paris Climate Agreement which attempted to force the United States to cut greenhouse emissions by nearly 30% by 2025.    Throughout his campaign, Biden has made it clear he plans to raise corporate taxes to 28% compared to the current 21% set in 2017. Biden has made it clear he will raise taxes throughout his presidency.  The policy restricts U.S. funding for international organizations that promote abortions. President Trump reinstated the policy in 2017 after Obama repealed it in 2009. Now, Biden is planning to reverse the policy yet again.    Biden plans to stop all funding going toward the Southern border. Seems like a lot of red flags here……  Batten down the hatches, big storm a brewing…….  We need a Nat. balance Budget in the worst kind of way.

VICTORY

ALOHA SAINTS, FAMILY & FRIENDS,  Beloved of God and me,   John 3:16
VICTORY,   “WORTH CONSIDERING”     11/11/20         From Ken Smith<>< Today's Scripture      (Across my desk this morning from a church in Texas.) Let us therefore make every effort to enter that rest [of God, to know and experience it for ourselves].  (Hebrews 4:11, AMP) Peace Stealers “The rest of God” in today’s Scripture is a place where we know God is in control. But here’s the key: once you enter that rest, you’re not automatically going to stay there. Life is full of peace stealers. If you watch the news twenty-four hours a day, you will live worried, fearful, and on edge. If you get on social media and constantly compare yourself to others, you’ll never feel good about who you are because someone else will be more beautiful, more talented, more successful. If you let people dump all their problems on you, they will steal your peace and exhaust you. There will always be people and circumstances trying to pull you out of God’s rest. If you’re going to live in peace, you have to put some boundaries up and be careful about what you feed your inner person—encouraging things that build you up and cause you to be positive, hopeful, inspired. A Prayer for Today “Father, thank You that I can make it my top priority to feed on Your Word and be built up with Your truth. Show me where I need to put up boundaries from anyone or anything that steals my peace. Keep me free from comparing myself to others. In Jesus’ Name, Amen” Ken’s Comments, As a Vet. from 1947-51 and my father also was a Vet. from WW2, today has a certain appreciation for the Victory and Freedom that we now have.  Of course we have some strong forces of atheism in our country now pushing against those freedoms.  But frankly if all of the illegal voting was exposed I feel that Trump would have easily won the election on 11/3.  And may still win if there is a legal due diligence to expose all of the fake votes.   But the one thing about victory is that it always takes faith, vigilance and hard work.  It is never easy.  Whether a personal victory over smoking or a national victory over socialism/atheism.  One of my favorite scriptures on victory comes from Apostle Paul in Romans 8:26 as follows: “ In the same way the Spirit [comes to us and ] helps us in our weakness. We do not know what prayer to offer or how to offer it as we should, but the Spirit Himself [knows our need and at the right time] intercedes on our behalf with sighs and groanings too deep for words. 27 And He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because the Spirit intercedes [ before God ] on behalf of [c] God’s people in accordance with God’s will.  28 And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose. 29 For those whom He foreknew [and loved and chose beforehand], He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son [and ultimately share in His complete sanctification], so that He would be the firstborn [the most beloved and honored] among many believers. 30 And those whom He predestined, He also called; and those whom He called, He also justified [declared free of the guilt of sin]; and those whom He justified, He also glorified [raising them to a heavenly dignity].  31 What then shall we say to all these things? If God is for us, who can be [successful] against us? 32 He who did not spare [even] His own Son, but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things? 33 Who will bring any charge against God’s elect (His chosen ones)? It is God who justifies us [declaring us blameless and putting us in a right relationship with Himself]. 34 Who is the one who condemns us? Christ Jesus is the One who died [to pay our penalty], and more than that, who was raised [from the dead], and who is at the right hand of God interceding [with the Father] for us. 35 Who shall ever separate us from the love of [d] Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? 36 Just as it is written and forever remains written,  “For Your sake we are put to death all day long; We are regarded as sheep for the slaughter.” 37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors and gain an overwhelming victory through Him who loved us [so much that He died for us]. 38 For I am convinced [and continue to be convinced—beyond any doubt] that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present and threatening, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the [unlimited] love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. So our Eternal Creator God sent Jesus to give us HIS TRUTH to set us free from sin and to transform us into the Children of God to live with HIM for eternity as HIS family.  And this victory is a mixture of Love, Faith, Humility, Obedience, Truth and Unity.  Some of us have more of one than the other but working in unity the strong help the weak in being unified as one. John. 17.   Gal.6:7-8  puts it this way: “7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked [He will not allow Himself to be ridiculed, nor treated with contempt nor allow His precepts to be scornfully set aside]; for whatever a man sows, this and this only is what he will reap. 8 For the one who sows to his flesh [his sinful capacity, his worldliness, his disgraceful impulses] will reap from the flesh ruin and destruction, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. 9 Let us not grow weary or become discouraged in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap, if we do not give in. CITIZENSHIP, WHICH WORLD

ALOHA SAINTS, FAMILY & FRIENDS,   Beloved of God and me,   John 3:16

CITIZENSHIP, WHICH WORLD,   “WORTH CONSIDERING” 11/9/20   From Ken Smith

Today’s Scripture             (Across my desk this morning from a church in Texas.)
But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.    (1 Corinthians 6:11, NIV)

Failure is an Event
In life, we’re all going to have times where we fall, make mistakes, and blow it. But too often, we get our performance mixed up with our identity. You may have failed, but you are not a failure. That’s what you did. Failure is an event. That’s not who you are. You are a child of the Most High God. You’ve been handpicked by the Creator of the universe. God is not judging you by your setbacks. Maybe you’ve blown a relationship, had an addiction, or done something you’re not proud of. Don’t let that become your identity. God’s mercy is bigger than any mistake that you’ve made.   Your sins have already been forgiven. Every mistake you’ve made and ever will make has already been paid in full. The real question is, will you receive God’s mercy? You don’t have to go around feeling guilty, not excited about your future. You are free. You are clean. You are restored.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that Your love and forgiveness for me is not based on my performance but upon the fact that I am Your child. Thank You that every mistake I’ve made and ever will make has already been paid in full by Jesus. I believe I am cleansed and free. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Comments:
Really a good word today to realize that we have a lifetime of grace and forgiveness through repentance in seeking God’s Grace for needed changes in our lives to become like HIM.  Yes !!! and that is what it is all about.  We have a lifetime to make the adjustments to learn to live at light speed.  God is LIGHT and in HIM is no darkness at all.   HE has allowed for there to be a limited time dimension for us potential children of Adam to learn to become like HIM.  When I was learning to walk it was not a matter of how many times I had to fall down.  It was a matter of how many times I was willing to try again and again and again.   I helped teach 7 kids how to walk and was delighted in doing it.  Each one was different and sometimes painful and sometimes really funny.  And some times even destructive as the table cloth was grabbed for support with a table full of dishes.  Could be very messy at times but in time they all learned to walk because they wanted to.

With God, HE is pulling for each one of us to learn to walk with HIM in HIS eternal family.  But it is up to us as to our comfort zone.  We have a choice to be comfortable with this world where lucifer is god or we can choose to make Jesus our LORD and change through faith into being like HIM.  Of course it is much easier to say than to really do but God’s help is also available in giving us a hand up if we are want it.  Eph.2:1-3: “And you [He made alive when you] were [spiritually] dead and separated from Him because of your transgressions and sins, 2 in which you once walked. You were following the ways of this world [influenced by this present age], in accordance with the prince of the power of the air (Satan), the spirit who is now at work in the disobedient [the unbelieving, who fight against the purposes of God]. 3 Among these [unbelievers] we all once lived in the passions of our flesh [our behavior governed by the sinful self ], indulging the desires of [a] human nature [without the Holy Spirit] and [the impulses] of the [sinful] mind. We were, by nature, children [under the sentence] of [God’s] wrath, just like the rest [of mankind].  2 Cor.4:3: “But even if our gospel is [in some sense] hidden [behind a veil], it is hidden [only] to those who are perishing; 4 among them the god of this world [Satan] has blinded the minds of the unbelieving to prevent them from seeing the illuminating light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 5 For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves [merely] as your bond-servants for Jesus’ sake.  1 John 4:17:   “Whoever confesses and acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. 16 We have come to know [by personal observation and experience], and have believed [with deep, consistent faith] the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides continually in him. 17 In this [union and fellowship with Him], love is completed and perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment [with assurance and boldness to face Him]; because as He is, so are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love [dread does not exist]. But perfect (complete, full-grown) love drives out fear, because fear involves [the expectation of divine] punishment, so the one who is afraid [of God’s judgment] is not perfected in love [has not grown into a sufficient understanding of God’s love]. 19 We love, because [b]He first loved us. 20 If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates (works against) his [Christian] brother he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen. 21 And this commandment we have from Him, that the one who loves God should also [unselfishly] love his brother and seek the best for him.”

CARRIED AWAY

ALOHA SAINTS, FAMILY & FRIENDS,  Beloved of God and me,

CARRIED AWAY,    “WORTH CONSIDERING”    11/6/20    By Ken Smith<><

Today’s Scripture         (Received this morning from a church in Texas)
The LORD took hold of me, and I was carried away by the Spirit of the LORD. Ezek

When God Shoots You Out
In today’s Scripture, the word carried means “to shoot out, to launch forward.” It implies acceleration. As God carries you through life, it’s not always going to be routine, predictable, little by little. There are times when God is going to shoot you out and propel you years down the road. He’ll give you a break that you don’t deserve. He’ll cause you to meet the right person. He’ll turn a problem around when you didn’t see a way.

Your destiny is bigger than you’ve dreamed. You may feel as though you’ll never get to where you’re supposed to be. When God shoots you out, you’re going to make up for lost time. No person, no bad break, no unfair situation, and no organization can stop you. The doors that are going to open, the people you’re going to meet, and the opportunities that are coming your way are going to be bigger, better, more rewarding that you’ve ever thought possible.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for being a God who makes up for lost time. I believe that You will accomplish my dreams faster than I thought possible, and my future is bright because this is my time for acceleration. I believe that You will bless me beyond my dreams. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Comments:
Ezekiel is one of my favorite prophets of the Old Testament.  Don’t we all want to be carried away in the Holy Spirit.  Can it be done?  Can God really do that?  Enoch was also carried away in the Spirit along with Apostle Paul but Paul had to return to help us out.  When folks talk to me about U.F.O.’s I really don’t have a problem.  Jesus told us that in the Father’s House were many mansions and that HE was building a place for HIS Church.   If you read Ezek. chapters 1,2,3 and 10 you can go for a real ride.  Please note that in his day that his language was very primitive in sharing about such things.  So his word pictures reflect what was close in his experience in the use of words.  So his words only reflect that limited vocabulary in trying to write about what he saw and experienced.  It is like hell is (like fire) but in actuality what we know as fire here on earth would have not effect at all upon a spiritual being.  So the fire of hell is like what it would feel like not to have a physical body.  Our physical body is that only way that our spirit/soul had any knowledge of anything.  sight, feeling, hearing, taste and touch are all translated into electronic pulses that make us aware of life and of all of the beauty around us that has been created by God.  So hell is really the total absence of being in contact with the physical at all.  So as not to get too depressed the opposite is also available to us to know and to see and to understand as God does.  We have the option for us to receive a better body than the one we have now.  One that will never age and that the energy flow is perfect so toilets will not be needed.  So Paul shares a lot about the 3rd Heaven in spite of being told to keep it a secrete.  1 Thess. 4:9-18.   “ Now concerning brotherly love, you have no need for anyone to write you, for you have been [personally] taught by God to love one another [that is, to have an unselfish concern for others and to do things for their benefit]. 10 For indeed you already do practice it toward all the [a] believers throughout Macedonia [by actively displaying your love and concern for them]. But we urge you, brothers and sisters, that you excel [in this matter] more and more, 11 and to make it your ambition to live quietly and peacefully, and to mind your own affairs and work with your hands, just as we directed you, 12 so that you will behave properly toward outsiders [exhibiting good character, personal integrity, and moral courage worthy of the respect of the outside world], and be dependent on no one and in need of nothing [be self-supporting].  13 Now we do not want you to be uninformed, believers, about those who are asleep [in death], so that you will not grieve [for them] as the others do who have no hope [beyond this present life]. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again [as in fact He did], even so God [in this same way—by raising them from the dead] will bring with Him those [believers] who have fallen asleep in Jesus. 15 For we say this to you by the Lord’s [own] word, that we who are still alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, will in no way precede [into His presence] those [believers] who have fallen asleep [in death]. 16 For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven with a shout of command, with the voice of the [b] archangel and with the [blast of the] trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain [on the earth] will simultaneously be caught up (raptured) together with them [the resurrected ones] in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord! 18 Therefore comfort and encourage one another with these words [concerning our reunion with believers who have died].  1 Thess. 4:9-18 And then read 2 Thess.2 where Paul makes some things a little easier to understand.  We have a very limited amount of time on earth to decide to go for the darkness or the light and our decision is eternal.   So IF YOU ask, seek and knock then God will help you turn on the lights for now and for eternity.         Ezek.28:13-19 concerning the ultimate end of lucifer.

COMMANDMENTS OF GOD

ALOHA SAINTS, FAMILY & FRIENDS,  Beloved on God and me,    John 3:16

COMMANDMENTS:    “WORTH CONSIDERING”   11/4/20    From Ken Smith<><

Today’s Scripture
“…say to her, ‘Is all well with you? Is all well with your husband? Is all well with the child?’” And she answered, “All is well.”   (2 Kings 4:26, ESV)

All is Well
Second Kings 4 records the story of a mother whose little boy suddenly died in her arms. Yet even when it looked unbearable, she knew that unexpected trouble wasn’t a surprise to God. She immediately set out to get her friend the prophet Elisha. Twice she was asked if her child was well, and she answered, “All is well.” She knew that God could make a way where she didn’t see a way. Elisha prayed for the little boy, and he miraculously came back to life.  We all face unexpected challenges—the loss of a loved one, a personal failure, a layoff, a sickness. It’s easy to get overwhelmed. But rather than complain and go around in self-pity, go deeper and instead have a report of faith, “All is well. God’s in control.” Then because you are rooted in the Most High God, you’ll feel the peace that passes understanding and have the strength to endure what should have taken you out.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that You are the Most High God who sees every unexpected and uncertain circumstance I will ever face. I declare that my peace and strength are in You, and my roots are firmly set in You. All is well today. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Comments:
It is a good feeling to know that God is in control.  But really, HE is only in control of what you place in HIS hands and TRUST HIM with.   Don’t expect HIM to jump in and save you when you have been avoiding HIM and are oblivious to HIS will.  By now I think I know most of the Commandments of God including the Big 10 and the 7 deadly sins.  But the LORD’S will and commandments go much deeper than that.  There are 168 verses in the Bible using the word Commandments.  In Matt. 5:19 Jesus Teaches: “So whoever breaks one of the least [important] of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, will be called least [important] in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever practices and teaches them, he will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.”  Matt.19:17, “Jesus answered, “Why are you asking Me about what is [essentially] good? There is only One who is [essentially] good; but if you wish to enter into eternal life, keep the commandments.”Jesus answered, “Why are you asking Me about what is [essentially] good? There is only One who is [essentially] good; but if you wish to enter into eternal life, keep the commandments.”  Matt. 22:37-40, “And Jesus replied to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself [that is, unselfishly seek the best or higher good for others].’ 40 The whole Law and the [writings of the] Prophets depend on these two commandments.”   And that is just from the Gospel of Matthew.    John, the Disciple of great love shared Jesus’s words this way.:     (The Commandments of Jesus can be found in the New Testament.) 1 John 14:14-16, “If you ask Me anything in My name [as My representative ], I will do it.  15 “If you [really] love Me, you will keep and obey my commandments.  16 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another [a] Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), to be with you forever— John 14:20-21: “ On that day [when that time comes] you will know for yourselves that I am in My Father, and you are in Me, and I am in you. 21 The person who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who [really] loves Me; and whoever [really] loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and reveal Myself to him [I will make Myself real to him].” John 15:10, “If you keep My commandments and obey My teaching, you will remain in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and remain in His love.”  1 Jn.2:3, “And this is how we know [daily, by experience] that we have come to know Him [to understand Him and be more deeply acquainted with Him]: if we habitually keep [focused on His precepts and obey] His commandments (teachings).” 1 Jn.2:4        “Whoever says, “I have come to know Him,” but does not habitually keep [focused on His precepts and obey] His commandments (teachings), is a liar, and the truth [of the divine word] is not in him.”  1 Jn.3:22, “Whoever says, “I have come to know Him,” but does not habitually keep [focused on His precepts and obey] His commandments (teachings), is a liar, and the truth [of the divine word] is not in him.”  1 Jn.3:24, “The one who habitually keeps His commandments [obeying His word and following His precepts, abides and] remains in Him, and He in him. By this we know and have the proof that He [really] abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us [as a gift].  1Jn.5:2-3, “By this we know [without any doubt] that we love the children of God: [expressing that love] when we love God and obey His commandments.   For the [true] love of God is this: that we habitually obey]” Keep His commandments and remain focused on His precepts. And His commandments and His precepts are not difficult [to obey]   Do you know them ?????.

DECISIONS

ALOHA SAINTS, FAMILY & FRIENDS,    Beloved of God and me,   John 3:16

DECISIONS,   “WORTH CONSIDERING”    11/2/20      From Ken Smith<><

Today’s Scripture                                 (Across my desk this morning from a church in Texas.)
“Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I declare…Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise from the end of the earth.”   (Isaiah 42:9–10, ESV)

Sing a New Song
In today’s Scripture, God is saying that the things you’ve been struggling with are coming to an end—the disappointment, the hurt, the bad habits. He’s about to put a stop to it and do a new thing. But if you’re going to see the negative come to an end and God do a new thing, you have to sing a new song. You can’t go around with that same old song of who hurt me and how wrong it was. No more singing about what you can’t do and how it’s never going to work out. No, get rid of that song of defeat and self-pity and start singing a song of victory. “I know God’s turning it to my advantage. He’s turning my mourning into dancing. He’s armed me with strength for this battle. I will lose this weight. I will break this addiction.”   Is there something you need to get over today? Make this decision: no more excuses.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that You are worthy of my worship and new songs of praise. Thank You that I can put the old sad songs of defeat behind me and start singing songs of victory. I declare that this is a new day, and my dreams and vision are being renewed. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Comments,
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ErkYkx1LP0     Put it on to play in the background as your read this blog.    The Composer Bach once said, “The only reason for music is for the Worship of God.”  Now you just made a decision to listen or not.  Or to read this blog or not.  But I am listening and smiling down deep inside and hope you are as well.   It is like God enters into the praise and cleans the air around us and then starts to clean us out at well with music anointed by HIM.  So that the cares of this world begin to be seen in a proper perspective and doable and temporary.  God becomes the answer as we get close to HIM in our thoughts.  Music can help us with this good feeling of HIS presence around us.  He has made Jesus the center of LIFE for us for eternity.

The one thing that we have as an eternal soul is the gift from God of our freewill.  We are here on planet earth in this unique dimension of time to learn how to use our freewill productively.  In the original garden there were two trees of greater importance than the rest.  The Tree of LIFE and the Tree of the knowledge of Good & Evil.   God wanted to teach Adam about evil without him going through the painful experience.   But Adam like most of us decided to learn for himself and so he did and so are we and it is painful.  God  knew what would happen but that the choice was ours.   But HE also knew that Jesus would be obedient and make a way back for us in repentance and redemption if we wanted it.  He wanted and is building a family of righteousness for HIS joy and not just a bunch of robots.  He has freewill, and so do we.

Every day we have the right to decide what we want our life to be like.  If we choose the road of darkness and dark thoughts,  GOD does not step in and stop us.   And if we decide we want to learn to live in the LIGHT,  HE  also makes that possible by HIS grace.  But it is totally up to us as no one is predestined to heaven or hell.   That is our decision and our responsibility.  God has made everything available to us to learn to walk with HIM in LIGHT if we want to.  In HIS absolute foreknowledge He knows what we will do, but we don’t.  So It is totally your decision and you make your own eternal destiny.  And as to getting into the Word of God and memorize the precious promises of God that HE has had HIS prophets record for you, you will find HIS LIFE waiting for you.  The things of this world that are of darkness will fall away and your life will start to become like the life of Jesus.  The process can be fast or slow, that is up to you.  But to make room for God’s Light you mast also allow the HOLY SPIRIT to help you remove the darkness to make room for God’s Light.  You don’t live in a little one room cabin. Yours house is a large, many room mansion.  You may have squatters living in rooms you don’t even know about that are in your house.  The Holy Spirit will help you clean them out and make room for HIS presence if you will allow HIM access and authority.  Actually when you make Jesus your LORD in salvation you are supposed to give HIM all of the keys to your whole house.  But many are not taught that and only give HIM a front door key.  And some not even that.  Some even want HIM to be their Savior from hell but don’t really understand that it does not work that way.  In fact unless Jesus is LORD of ALL,  HE is not LORD at all.  But the decision is yours.
