VISION      “WORTH CONSIDERING”   11/12/21    From Ken<>< ken@trinity-aloha.org

In my life, I have learned that GOD’s VISION of HIS Kingdom must be restored often in my life,  otherwise I tend to drift back into the world.    Yours in HIS great Love and Wonderful Grace and Mercy,   Ken<><   ( www.OhanaChurch.Life )

“Where there is no vision [no revelation of God and His word], the people are unrestrained; But happy and blessed is he who keeps the law [of God].”  Proverbs 28:19.    “Then the Lord said to me, “The [counterfeit] prophets are prophesying lies in My Name. I have neither sent them nor authorized them nor spoken to them. They are prophesying to you made-up visions [pretending to call forth responses from handmade gods], a worthless divination and the deceit of their own mind.”  Jeremiah 14:14.      “Did you not see (make up) a false vision and speak a lying divination when you said, ‘The Lord declares,’ but it is not I who have spoken?”  Ezek. 13.7.
“Repent [change your old way of thinking, turn from your sinful ways, accept and follow Jesus as the Messiah] and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ because of the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise [of the Holy Spirit] is for you and your children and for all who are far away [including the Gentiles], as many as the Lord our God calls to Himself.” 40 And Peter solemnly testified and continued to admonish and urge them with many more words, saying, “[d] Be saved from this crooked and unjust generation!” 41 So then, those who accepted his message were baptized; and on that day about [e] 3,000 souls were added [to the body of believers]. 42 They were continually and faithfully devoting themselves to the instruction of the apostles, and to fellowship, to [f] eating meals together and to prayers.43 A sense of awe was felt by [g] everyone, and many wonders and signs (attesting miracles) were taking place through the apostles.”   Acts 2:38-43.

So don’t you wonder what happened to the miracles in the beginning of the Church.  Certainly there are those and even ourselves that could use a bit of God’s Glory (power) for some of the painful issues in our lives.   Charles (our handyman) was looking for fasteners in my junk pile today and found a Bible under a bunch of nails opened to Chapter 34:8- and it said: “O taste and see that the Lord [our God] is good;  How blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who takes refuge in Him.  O [reverently] fear the Lord, you His saints (believers, holy ones); For to those who fear Him there is no want.  The young lions lack [food] and grow hungry,  But they who seek the Lord will not lack any good thing.  Come, you children, listen to me;  I will teach you to fear the Lord [with awe-inspired reverence and worship Him with obedience].  Who is the man who desires life And loves many days, that he may see good?  Keep your tongue from evil And your lips from speaking deceit.  Turn away from evil and do good;  Seek peace and pursue it.  The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous [those with moral courage and spiritual integrity] And His ears are open to their cry.  The face of the Lord is against those who do evil, To cut off the memory of them from the earth.  When the righteous cry [for help], the Lord hears And rescues them from all their distress and troubles.  The Lord is near to the heartbroken And He saves those who are crushed in spirit (contrite in heart, truly sorry for their sin).”  Psalms 34:8- 18.

With most of us, If we are not reminded of a vision, eventually,  it drops from our top line of interest and by & by is totally forgotten.  So if we misplace the Vision from God as real then we loose interest in our eternal home and we tend to replace it with what we have here as home.   And that can eventually bottom out with us dying in a crack house from an O.D. or worse.   Often I say to myself, “But for the Grace (Power) of God, there go I.”

So what is the Vision for a Christian that we need to keep polished up so we avoid the sin and the love of this world?   For me, it is going back to Rev. 21:1 often, “ Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away (vanished), and there is no longer any [a] sea. 2 And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, arrayed like a bride adorned for her husband; 3 and then I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, “See! The tabernacle of God is among men, and He will live among them, and they will be His people, and God Himself will be with them [b] [as their God,] 4 and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be death; there will no longer be sorrow and anguish, or crying, or pain; for the [c] former order of things has passed away.5 And He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also He said, “Write, for these words are faithful and true [they are accurate, incorruptible, and trustworthy].” 6 And He said to me, “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the one who thirsts I will give [water] from the fountain of the water of life without cost. 7 [d] He who overcomes [the world by adhering faithfully to Christ Jesus as Lord and Savior] will inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be My son. 8 But as for the cowards and unbelieving and abominable [who are devoid of character and personal integrity and practice or tolerate immorality], and murderers, and sorcerers [with intoxicating drugs], and idolaters and occultists [who practice and teach false religions], and all the liars [who knowingly deceive and twist truth], their part will be in the lake that blazes with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”   The Vision, for me, is energizing and the warning for me is real.

“I look upon this world as a wrecked vessel. God has given me a lifeboat and said to me: Moody save all you can.” -Dwight L. Moody      “The truths that I know best I have learned on my knees. I never know a thing well, till it is burned into my heart by prayer.”-John Bunyan   “A western man once visited Samuel Lamb, the leader of a well-known underground Church in Guangzhou (China). He is a man of God who has been imprisoned for his faith in Christ for over 20 years. At his departure the western man began to feel a little uncomfortable but finally said to brother Lamb: “We in the West…ehh..will pray for you and the Church here in China”. The answer Samuel Lamb gave was everything but what he had expected. Brother Lamb replied: “And we will pray for the western Christians to have more discipline”.  “Today, we are living in desperate times. Yet, the Church is not desperate before God in prayer.” -Chuck Smith   “The supreme purpose of every true Christian Church, the chief duty of every Christian minister, the main responsibility of every Christian layman, is to present to all who may be reached, in the clearest and most forceful way, the basic facts of the gospel of Christ and to urge all who hear to make the definite personal response to these facts which God requires. To this, the supreme task, every other duty and activity of the Church, must be secondary and subsidiary.” – Derek Prince   “The Church has nothing to do but to save souls, therefore spend and be spent in this work’ – John Wesley.
