RIGHTEOUS JUDGMENT        “Worth Considering”   11/8/21     From  Ken Smith<><

JUDGMENT is coming, are you ready?
Isaiah 51:5 My righteousness is near; My salvation is gone forth, and My arm shall judge the people; the isles shall wait upon me, and on My arm they will trust.
John 5:22 For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son,
Revelation 19:11 Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.

When we evaluate an action by someone, the defense is often as quoted as by Jesus, “Judge not, lest ye  be judged.”  Actually in the AMP this thought is more clearly shared as: ““Do not judge and criticize and condemn [others unfairly with an attitude of self-righteous superiority as though assuming the office of a judge], so that you will not be judged [unfairly].  Matt. 7:1.  and goes on to teach us:   For just as you [hypocritically] judge others [when you are sinful and unrepentant], so will you be judged; and in accordance with your standard of measure [used to pass out judgment],  judgment will be measured to you.”  Matt. 7:2

Righteous Judgement is very important in life otherwise we are blind as to good or bad, heaven or hell.  Without some help from God we are easily manipulated and trashed and bound by poor decisions (judgements.)  Jesus teaches on the as in John 3:19: “Whoever believes and has decided to trust in Him [as personal Savior and Lord] is not judged [for this one, there is no judgment, no rejection, no condemnation]; but the one who does not believe [and has decided to reject Him as personal Savior and Lord] is judged already [that one has been convicted and sentenced], because [a] he has not believed and trusted in the name of the [One and] only begotten Son of God [the One who is truly unique, the only One of His kind, the One who alone can save him]. 19 This is the judgment [that is, the cause for indictment, the test by which people are judged, the basis for the sentence]: the Light has come into the world, and people loved the [b] darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. 20 For every wrongdoer hates the Light, and does not come to the Light [ but shrinks from it] for fear that his [sinful, worthless] activities will be exposed and condemned.”   So first of all we need to Judge as to the light that Jesus came to share as really being from our Creator.  And if so, than to become humble and obedient in following that light in real Godly Truth and Love.   If not, then we will stand before God in the final judgment of all things with our lives exposed in detail on the big screen of heaven for all to see as to whether we were righteous in our judgements and actions according to the commandments of God and not according to the ones we have made up for ourselves.   So having righteous judgement according to God’s definition is imperative.  In John 5:22, Jesus teaches us: “For the Father judges no one, but has given all judgment [that is, the prerogative of judging] to the Son [placing it entirely into His hands],” And in John 5:20: “I can do nothing on my own initiative or authority. Just as I hear, I judge; and My judgment is just (fair, righteous, unbiased), because I do not seek My own will, but only the will of Him who sent Me.”  John 7:24, “Do not judge by appearance [superficially and arrogantly], but judge fairly and righteously.”

So ever time we judge a situation in life or another person we need to think first, “Is this to help them or is this to destroy them?    Am I really seeking what is best for them or what will make me look good and hurt them?   In 1 Cor.6:2-4  Apostle Paul gives a good teaching on this.  “Do you not know that the saints (God’s people) will [one day] judge the world? If the world is to be judged by you, are you not competent [b] to try trivial (insignificant, petty) cases? 3 Do you not know that we [believers] will judge angels? How much more then [as to] matters of this life? 4 So if you have lawsuits dealing with matters of this life, are you appointing those as judges [to hear disputes] who are of no account in the church?   So it would seem that we should be in practice today to come up with righteous judgements.

We are so use to trashing someone behind their back with gossip and slander making their live more difficult in order to try to balance out what we feel they have done to us.  Or simply to make ourselves feel better or to elevate ourselves in the eyes of someone else.  Of the 7 deadly sins to sow discord is the 7th most deadly.  So gossip and slander is a deadly sin as per Prov. 6:14 & Prov. 6:19.

In Matt. 18:15-18, Jesus teaches us how to deal with these kind of offenses.  “If your brother sins [d], go and show him his fault in private; if he listens and pays attention to you, you have won back your brother. 16 But if he does not listen, take along with you one or two others, so that every word may be confirmed by the testimony of two or three witnesses. 17 If he pays no attention to them [refusing to listen and obey], tell it to the [e] church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile (unbeliever) and a tax collector. 18 I assure you and most solemnly say to you, whatever you bind [forbid, declare to be improper and unlawful] on earth [f] shall have [already] been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose [permit, declare lawful] on earth [g] shall have [already] been loosed in heaven.

So if you are a Christian, a follower of Jesus as LORD, then the above is the only option for dealing with people in the Church who profess to be a Christian.   Otherwise, you need to ask the Holy Spirit what to do in the situation.  But always be in a spirit of restoration and forgiveness as that is what Jesus came to do and as Christians we are to follow HIS example.   Sometimes HE rebuked, reproved and exhorted with long suffering and doctrine.  And sometimes HE spoke to give edification, exhortation and comfort.   So to keep the unity of the faith in the bond of peace there are  no short cuts concerning communications.  Shunning is the very last resort.  To lose faith that there can be loving unity in the Truth of God and to go in a different way and is not at all Christian.   Jesus came to set us free of rejection and pride and the things that make for disunity.  To agree to disagree goes further into darkness.   Only God Truth in Loving Faith sets us truly free to love one another in holiness with a whole heart in true unity.  And only in this kind of unity can we enjoy living in the Kingdom of God while on earth.  “For if you are living according to the [impulses of the] flesh, you are going to die. But if [you are living] by the [power of the Holy] Spirit you are habitually putting to death the sinful deeds of the body, you will [really] live forever. 14 For all who are allowing themselves to be led by the Spirit of God are children of God. 15 For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading again to fear [of God’s judgment], but you have received the Spirit of adoption as children [the Spirit producing adaption] by which we [joyfully] cry, “ [a] Abba! Father!”
