REPENT

ALOHA FAMILY & FRIENDS,  Beloved of Christ Jesus and me,    John 3:16-18

REPENT,    “WORTH CONSIDERING”    5/27/20     From Ken<><

Today’s Scripture    (Found in my e-mails this morning from Texas.)
“…Yet you, LORD, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand…”  (Isaiah 64:8, NIV)

You Are Not a Finished Product
One of the worst mistakes you can make is to go through life being against yourself. Some people live with a nagging feeling that’s always telling them, “You’re not good enough. You still have that addiction. You’ll never get it right.” They’ve heard that playing in their minds for so long that it’s become normal.  You may have some areas in which you still struggle and need to improve—we all do—but being down on yourself is not going to help you do better. Keep your flaws in perspective. God is the Potter, we are the clay. He’s the one who is making and molding you. It may not be happening as fast as you would like, but you don’t control the timetable. Will you trust Him in the process you’re in right now? Will you enjoy where you are while God is in the process of changing you? You’re on the Potter’s wheel. God is still working on you.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that You are the Potter and I am the clay. Thank You for where I am right now, faults and all, and that You are molding and making me. Help me to stop being against myself and simply trust You with the process for further change. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Thoughts,
As I am approaching 88 this lesson is very impacting for me.  I am not what I use to be, I am still a work in progress, And I am not yet what I shall be.  But true repentance does make it happen faster.  As I truly learn to trust the LORD that Sanctification and Holiness means exactly that.  And the Word of God is the Absolute Truth of God in context things are spiritually speeding up for me.   The light is getting brighter and the darkness of pride and rebellion is getting darker and more easily seen and evaluated.

We have been allowed a lifetime of living in a temporary physical body to decide where we want to live. Time itself is only a temporary capsule in God’s dimension of Eternity.   We have been invited to live with God for eternity but we can also still say no.  The Creator will never violate free will as he has plans for me and you in eternity with a free will.  We are here to learn how to use it.   But we have to decide whether to remain a child of Adam and of this world or to Trust God and go for broke for HIS world and new Kingdom of Righteousness.  Obviously FAITH is the issue here.  Hebrew 11 tells us all about how faith works.  So if we conclude to “eat, drink and be merry for tomorrow we die” that also has a measure of faith that there is nothing after death.  As our schools systems are now strongly teaching atheism it is no wonder that our children are growing up without any moral value system and our politicians are running amok.  We allowed God to be removed from our schools about 70 years ago.  And mostly for entertainment we watch a steady diet of action similar to a Roman Coliseum events.  Which is the destruction of God’s finest creation, man and women.  So while you still have a heart beat it would be my strong suggestion that you consider what God says is true, that your soul is eternal.  And where will you end up in eternity as our physical life is temporary, is extremely important.

Things that helped me to decide that the Bible is True have been the physics, chemistry, prophesy and the experiences shared in the Bible.  And the type of lives lived by true Christian pilgrims as compared with those in the system of the world.  The people with no moral value system.  Floyd, the young man who helped me find Jesus was one of those rare 100% Christians.  First time I had every experienced finding one.  He was 3 years younger than me but a real Stephen walking around in real life in 1955.   Really too long of a story to tell again as it is already in the past “Worth Considering” blogs.   But it was an open door by our Creator for me to find my way into becoming HIS child that I hope HE can be proud of.  According to the Holy Bible we will all have to stand before our Creator and give an account for what we did with what HE gave us.   Look up Psalm 22:6-18,   Isa.53.  How could this be unless God and Eternity are real and this is just 2 of hundreds of prophesies now fulfilled. like the one in Micah 2:13  “The breaker is goes up before them: they will break out, pass through the gate, and go out by it. So their king shall pass before them, with the LORD at their head. “ An ancient Hebrew commentator wrote of this verse, “In the words of our teachers of blessed memory and in the Midrash [ancient Hebrew commentaries of the O.T.], it is taught that the ‘breaker’ is Elijah and ‘their King’ is the branch of the son of David.”  As I read this commentary, I was blown away by the interpretation of this scripture by ancient Hebrew scholars! The Jewish people were clearly expecting a prophet like Elijah who would call the people back to repentance, and, afterward, the branch, the son of David, who would bring peace and freedom to his people. The fulfillment of these expectations began 2000 years ago with John the Baptist, whose prophetic ministry prepared the entire nation through repentance for the coming Messiah, Yeshua (Jesus), whose death and resurrection brought peace with God and freedom from sin, which laid the spiritual foundation for His coming Kingdom.  While the physical reign of the Messiah/King on Earth is yet future, and will begin when He returns, for the past 2000 years the Kingdom of heaven has been breaking forth in the hearts of men, and every true believer is breaking out with it. This wonderful message, “Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand”, hasn’t changed since the Lord first proclaimed it in Galilee [Mark 1:14]!  The word “repent”, is “metanoia” in Greek, which means to “change one’s mind for the better, heartily to amend with abhorrence of one’s past sins.”  worthybrief@worthynetwork.com  (This also came in my mail today.)

Yours, in HIS great love and wonderful Grace and Mercy.  Ken<><   www.Trinity-Aloha.org

The state of California issued guidelines Monday under which houses of worship may reopen. The Department of Health guidelines were published even though the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled Friday that Gov. Gavin Newsom’s COVID-19 ban on public gatherings could stand. The decision to allow churches to reopen also follows interventions last week by the US State Department, which specified that California’s ban on church gatherings was unfair, and by President Trump, who called on all states to lift bans on religious assemblies.
