JEZEBEL, “WORTH CONSIDERING” 5/8/19 (Across my desk this morning.)
In the past year or so I have heard a little here and a little there about the Jezebel ‘spirit” and did not think much about it. But the following note from Dr. Brown seems to be on target and so felt to pass it along. Will probably be teaching on it at our house church on Friday evening. We are only 5 weeks into beginning a new house church and already we are under serious attack.
Dr. Brown notes several negative factors to consider: Seduction, Idolatry, Immorality, Emasculation of men along with silencing the Truth of God. It is always good to look up words on Google and find the full definition of the word. Sometimes it totally directs the meaning into a different world. So how do we effectively deal with this attempted invasion from the dark side?
So please be in prayer for us that we will all find GOD’s concern and victory over this area of the attack of the enemy. Often when we are attacked we simply pick up our marbles and leave. And this tends to cause division after division after division. However, it is in being United that we stand. And we need to learn through love how to use these attacks to make ourselves stronger and more unified. Rather than let the enemy put our our light, better to go get some more oil and make the light brighter. And together find GOD’s TRUTH, embrace it and become more free in Christ Jesus.
Matt.11:11-13, I assure you and most solemnly say to you, among those born of women there has not risen anyone greater than John the Baptist; yet the one who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater [in privilege] than he. 12 From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violent assault, and violent men seize it by force [as a precious prize]. 13 For all the prophets and the Law prophesied up until John.
John 8:31-33: 31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
Spirit of Jezebel, by Dr. Michael L. Brown
The biblical figure Jezebel died 3,000 years ago, but her spirit lives on today, and in fact, is at war with America and the American church. The Jezebel’s spirit is active in America . Jezebel was the most wicked woman in the Bible, a powerful seductress who killed the prophets, led Israel into idolatry and immorality, and emasculated men. She was seductive and was determined to snuff out the voices coming against her, because these voices were calling out for repentance.
“In 21st-century America, Jezebel is not a person, but it’s as if her spirit is alive again,” Brown says. “The influence of the same demonic force is being felt in the massive increase of pornography and sexual temptation, the militant spirit of abortion, the rise of radical feminism and most importantly, in the attempt to silence prophetic voices. Just as Jezebel clashed with strong men almost 3,000 years ago, the demonic spirit of Jezebel is powerful in America, and it is going after the church.”
Jezebel’s War with America seeks to accomplish the following: The Jezebel spirit is at work in the 21st century through sexual immorality, abortion, radical feminism and even the fascination with witchcraft and sorcery just as the biblical Jezebel was on a collision course with Jehu, this spirit is on a collision course with President Donald Trump.
