ALOHA FAMILY AND FRIENDS,  Beloved of God,  John 3:16

GLAD TIDINGS,   “WORTH CONSIDERING”   5/6/19   (Across my desk this morning….)

Today’s Scripture
“Oh give thanks to the Lord, call upon His name; make known His deeds among the peoples.”  (Psalm 105:1, NASB)

Proclaim His Greatness
When someone gives you a meaningful or costly gift, how do you show your appreciation? Do you tell them how grateful you are? What do you do with that gift? When it’s something you are truly thankful for, you openly and proudly display the gift. When others see and admire it, you probably tell them where it came from and about the generosity of the giver. In the same way, we should give thanks to the Lord and constantly show our gratefulness and appreciation for all He has done for us by displaying the gifts He’s given us. We should also display the characteristics of our heavenly Father. We should display His likeness. We should have His eyes, His mouth and His mannerisms, too. We should display love, peace, joy, kindness and hope. We should live our lives in such a way that our very actions declare His greatness and cause others to take notice. Declare His greatness by living a life of gratitude to Him and let the whole world know what He has done for you!

A Prayer for Today
“Father in heaven, I commit to You every area of my life—my mind, my will, and my emotions. Reveal to me anything that isn’t pleasing to You. Show me Your ways so that I can walk with You and live righteously in every area of my life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

My Thoughts:  Of course “GLAD TIDINGS”….  IT MUST BE CHRISTMAS already   ????  
But then one of the first thoughts that I had as a new Christian was the realization that I had been given the Glad Tidings of the Keys To The Kingdom of GOD.  And that they were free,  And that I could give them away to all who would listen and save them from an absolute horrible darkness for all of eternity. 

In the Navigator Fellowship that I attended in 1955 the Holy Scriptures were plastered on little cards everywhere.  I still have my old leather Nav. Pack of Scriptures to work on memorizing.  And they are still available:  https://www.navigators.org/   We, as Christians, need to realize that the ministry of reconciliation has been given to us by GOD to help reinforce our faith and to gently make us feel like family.  That our Heavenly Father has trusted us with the Keys To The Kingdom to give away as often as we want.  Problem is that we are severely attacked by the enemy when we do.  And often our own family gets embarrassed when we do. 

Tried to share those “Keys” with my mother back in the early days and she would not talk to me about any thing concerning Jesus for years and years.  She said, “After all I have done for you, you think I am going to hell?”  Of course my efforts were loving and well intended but not very wise in the Holy Spirit as I look back now.  But I did find out that she was banking on her good works (with her own evaluation) and not to Jesus and was missing the flight.  But like the thief on the cross, just before she died, my then wife Ann,  led her in the sinners prayer and I sure hope she made it?   We have souls and family around us every day,  where will they spend eternity?

So let look at some scripture to confirm that we are responsible for sharing the Gospel.

Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy; Psalm 107:2

¹⁴ But how will people call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how will they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher (messenger)?   Rom.10:14  AMP

And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.  Matt 24:14 

But all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ [making us acceptable to Him] and gave us the ministry of reconciliation [so that by our example we might bring others to Him],  2 Cor. 5:18  AMP
 
Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.  2 Tim.4:2

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations [help the people to learn of Me, believe in Me, and obey My words], baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, ²⁰ teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always [remaining with you perpetually—regardless of circumstance, and on every occasion], even to the end of the age.”  Matt.28:19-20.

This is how Christ Jesus see the importance of it all: 

²⁶ If anyone serves Me, he must [continue to faithfully] follow Me [without hesitation, holding steadfastly to Me, conforming to My example in living and, if need be, suffering or perhaps dying because of faith in Me]; and wherever I am[in heaven’s glory], there will My servant be also. If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.  John 12:24-26.

The primary message of Christ Jesus was and is for the world to know how to be Saved from Hell.  If the Gospel of HIS Kingdom is HIS primary message should it not be ours?
If each Christian helped only 1 soul to become a disciple of Christ Jesus each year,  in 34 years the whole world would all know all about Christ Jesus as LORD.
