GARDENING    “WORTH CONSIDERING”    1/8/21,   From Ken Smith <><

We know that Joseph the man who helped raise Jesus so we tend to believe that as the eldest boy in the family Jesus helped Joseph with the carpentry and became a good carpenter.  I love the movie “Joshua” developed around that presumption, be sure to watch it.  But also it is amazing what Jesus knew about GARDENING.   He must have had a green thumb, as they say, if you consider all of the truth that Jesus shares concerning plants and seeds and soil

When I became a Christian in 1955 I began going to Navigator Bible Fellowships.   I was challenged by the leader, Bob Newkirk, to find a verse in the Bible that I could meditate on for the rest of my life.  I wanted it to be the words of Jesus and after a few months of considering many I decided on John 12:24-26 as it really says it all in a graphic language form for me.

KING JAMES:
24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.  25 He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.  26 If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.

AMPLIFIED:
24 I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, Unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains [just one grain; it never becomes more but lives] by itself alone. But if it dies, it produces many others and yields a rich harvest.  25 Anyone who loves his life loses it, but anyone who hates his life in this world will keep it to life eternal. [Whoever has no love for, no concern for, no regard for his life here on earth, but despises it, preserves his life forever and ever.]  26 If anyone serves Me, he must continue to follow Me [[a] to cleave steadfastly to Me, conform wholly to My example in living and, if need be, in dying] and wherever I am, there will My servant be also. If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.

So here, Jesus tell us that we are but a seed.  You can not tell what is in a seed unless it is planted and produces fruit.  But if a seed is put into damp rich soil there is a change.  It absorbs the moister, responds to the sun and soon starts to split open and let down a root for nutrition and send up a sprout into the light.  As for me, that means I root into God’s Holy Word in one direction and extent towards the light in the other.  But if I take my seed and paint it gold and put it in a picture frame for all to see, it is still just a seed.   And Jesus goes on from here to share with us that if we attach to this world we will die to God’s ultimate vision and purpose for us to grow up in HIM and to produce the fruit of the Holy Spirit.  And to be gifted by the Holy Spirit into the supernatural world of eternity that God lives in and perhaps even be called to help and serve others as Jesus did in finding their way into the perfection of God’s design.  Of course the scripture leaves that potential up to us.  If you love and enjoy this world you die.  If you have faith and vision for HIS world you can have eternal life with HIM.   And in conclusion, Jesus tells us that if we will become like HIM and conform to HIS example for our lifetime as a servant of HIS that the God of all creation will honor us as a planting of HIS for eternity.

Rather simplistic, no need to join anything or pay tithes or even build a building.  We just need to settle into Loving God with HIS true family with all that we are and have instead of this corrupted world. And learn to treat everyone else as we would like to be treated regardless of how they treat us.  We can become angry but then Jesus tells us to not allow us to get into sin.   We can always speak the Truth but it must be in love to help a person and not to destroy them.  Jesus did have the religious leaders at the top of his list that needed fixing.  But when they came to Him for truth, John 3,  Jesus had no grudge and would extend himself to help and even as with the Romans.  He told Pilot that HIS kingdom was not of this world.  We need to deeply remember this due to this past very messy election.  The reason that this nation is so evenly divided is because Christians have been asleep at the switch in not sharing the simplicity of God’s Truth in example, Love and Holiness.   In fact divorce is now nearly the same for Christians as for the Pagans.   And many Christians when working in the world can not be distinguished from the pagans.  Many so called Christians have even made up their own source of truth that even conflicts with Holy Scripture.  No real roots in the Holy Scriptures and no concern about finding God’s Light.  Those who are interested in Changing things need to now bond together in God’s Truth and Prayer and a John 17, Eph.4:11-16 Unity for such a change.  We began as a Christian country but today we are very far from “In God We Trust” in planting the good seeds.  Our little mini farm in Kealia, HI is called, The True Vine Farm…

I’ve been stressing the need for our spiritual foundation to be solidified, and how important it is right now for believers to be grounded on the rock that doesn’t move!

We are entering ever so quickly into some of the most turbulent times in the history of the world, and sad to say, it seems much of the church is asleep in the light without a clue of what’s ahead and how rapidly it is approaching.

While we see these events moving toward us on the horizon, we need more than ever to guard against worry or fear. Rather, let’s embrace our God, who has promised to protect His children in the very midst of storms! In my own personal life, I have often experienced God’s faithfulness and protection most dramatically in the midst of great storms. Not only that but when you think of it, how can a rainbow be formed without a cloud or a storm?

Now is the time to dig deep, and be firmly planted on the Rock — so that when the approaching storms do come, we will weather them through, and be there to rejoice as we see the fulfillment of God’s promises at the end of the storm! Shabbat Shalom!

Your family in the Lord with much agape love,

George, Baht Rivka, Elianna & Obadiah
