DREAMS & VISIONS

Over the many years of ministry I have often experience people with dreams and visions, some from God & some not.

Last night I had a dream or vision?   I was still living in my very comfortable Inn of 8 bedrooms and 10 baths of over 5,300 sq. ft.  of living area going through a very pleasant uneventful day until a bunch of high school boys/men showed up as having reserved space and seem to just take over, even my bedroom.  And I could not find my reservation notes as to what room I had assigned to which boy.  And I was frantically looking for the reservations as they began to become more and more boys and all of them hungry like they were expecting for me to feed them.  I woke up about that time and said to myself, what a nightmare.   And gently the Holy Spirit said to me, are you sure it is a nightmare or a warning to get ready to train a lot of souls who need some serious love and spiritual truth?  Still thinking about that one, but know that there are thousands of young people out there looking for spiritual answers that are logical but are avoiding the Religious Traditional Church folks totally.   So what does the Bible teach about Dreams & Visions:

First off in Acts, Peter quotes the prophesy by Joel concerning the coming of the Holy Spirit to build the Church of Christ Jesus   Joel 2:27-32:   ““And you shall know [without any doubt] that I am in the midst of Israel [to protect and bless you],  And that I am the Lord your God,  And there is no other; My people will never be put to shame.   “It shall come about after this  That I shall pour out My Spirit on all mankind;  And your sons and your daughters will prophesy, Your old men will dream dreams,  Your young men will see visions.  “Even on the male and female servants I will pour out My Spirit in those days.  “I will show signs and wonders [displaying My power] in the heavens and on the earth,  Blood and fire and columns of smoke.  “The sun will be turned into darkness And the moon into blood Before the great and terrible day of the Lord comes.  “And it shall come about that whoever calls on the name of the Lord Will be saved [from the coming judgment] For on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem There will be those who escape, As the Lord has said,  Even among the remnant [of survivors] whom the Lord calls.”

God used dreams to save Israel with Joseph.  The Holy Spirit used dreams to teach as in Rev. 12 as to who the woman and the man child are.   And also in Isaiah 28:    11-13:  Indeed, the Lord will teach this people [in a more humiliating way]  By [men with] stammering lips and a foreign tongue,  He who said to them, “This is the place of quiet, give rest to the weary,”  And, “This is the resting place,” yet they would not listen.   Therefore the word of the Lord to them will be [merely monotonous repetitions]:  “Precept upon precept.”  The difference being between learning to walk in the Holy Spirit as per John 3:8 or in just being religious, street legal and spiritually deaf.  Paul adds his feelings about this in 1 Cor. 1:20-31.   (Get a Bible and read it .)  So do you qualify and where do you fit into this fine selection of the Elect of God  for HIS  Kingdom?   Rom. 8:13

But dreams and visions need confirmation and alignment with Holy Scripture to be valid and are a lot more fun to go with then the letter of the law which kills.   Dreams and Visions tend to bring us into a  more of a personal relationship with the Holy Spirit,  if of the Holy Spirit,   as do all of the gifts of the Spirit.   But unfortunately the gifts of the Holy Spirit are messy to learn to walk in so most box churches exclude them,  they can be embarrassing.    Sure glad I don’t own that big Inn anymore, did have a witch rent out the whole inn for a weekend.   Did not know till they arrived that it was a coven, that was a lot of fun.  They left saying they had never experience such a spiritually dead place before.  Never said a word, just prayed that nothing would get off the ground.   So no law suit, no nothing.  Only missing a few cups, that was it.   They came, left money and went home.   “Not by power nor by might but by my Spirits says the Lord.”  John 3:8,  there is never any wind in a box.  And not much excitement either.  Paul wrote about it:  2 Tim. 3:5.

1929:    With its gold depleted,  (Nixon also detached the dollar from gold.) the German government attempted to buy foreign currency with German currency, equivalent to selling German currency in exchange for payment in foreign currency, but the resulting increase in the supply of German marks on the market caused the German mark to fall rapidly in value, which greatly increased the number of marks needed to buy more foreign currency.  That caused German prices of goods to rise rapidly, increasing the cost of operating the German government, which could not be financed by raising taxes because those taxes would be payable in the ever-falling German currency. The resulting deficit was financed by some combination of issuing bonds and simply creating more money, both increasing the supply of German mark-denominated financial assets on the market and so further reducing the currency’s price. When the German people realized that their money was rapidly losing value, they tried to spend it quickly. That increased monetary velocity caused an ever-faster increase in prices, creating a vicious cycle. The government and the banks had two unacceptable alternatives. If they stopped inflation, there would be immediate bankruptcies, unemployment, strikes, hunger, violence, collapse of civil order, insurrection and possibly even revolution.  If they continued the inflation, they would default on their foreign debt.  However, attempting to avoid both unemployment and insolvency ultimately failed when Germany had both.    Google:   German Inflation 1929   Looked it up on Google,  the U.S. is going down the same set of steps.  History tends to repeat itself if no positive changes are made.  The German Mark took 1 trillion to buy what 1 Mark would buy in just 6 years from 1918 – 1923.  Hitler then came into power on a socialist ticket that nationalized German Industry and gave us World War 2.  If a WW3 there could be no survivors so considering the words of Jesus in Matt. 24:22  is very interesting for me.
