JEZEBEL SPIRIT

JEZEBEL SPIRIT
How Jezebel Plays a Role in 60 Percent of Divorces, By Dr. Michael Brown Every generation has faced sexual temptation and engaged in sexual sin, says author and national radio host Dr. Michael Brown, and there is nothing new about it.
But what is new is the technology that makes sexual temptation ubiquitous.
“By ‘ubiquitous,’ I mean anywhere, anytime, with almost anyone, doing virtually anything,” Brown writes in his soon-to-be-released book, Jezebel’s War with America: The Plot to Destroy Our Country and What We Can Do to Turn the Tide. “It’s all there, fully accessible, and only one click—or tap—away. No generation in history has ever had to deal with sexual temptation at this level. It is nothing less than the sexual seduction of America—and the nations.”
In Jezebel’s War with America, Brown writes specifically about “the most wicked woman in the Word of God”—Jezebel—and how her demonic spirit is not only alive today but waging a war against America and the American church, especially by way of sexual immorality.

“There is nothing new about sexual immorality,” Brown writes. “It has been here throughout human history, which is why the Bible frequently addresses sexual sin. One of the Ten Commandments states, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ Jesus warned that sexual immorality could damn us to hell. Paul placed sexual sin at the beginning of his lists of moral prohibitions. And the last chapter of the book of Revelation tells us that the sexually immoral will not enter God’s eternal city.”
And yet, despite the biblical warnings, sexuality immorality, and namely the extremely high incidence of pornography, has permeated the American culture. It’s Jezebel’s spirit at work, Brown says.
“You don’t have to subscribe to a pornographic magazine,” Brown says. “You don’t have to go to a seedy part of your city to find a porn theater. All you need is a computer. Or tablet. Or cell phone. And within seconds, you have access to more sexual material than all previous generations combined. And this is not just something teenagers and adults are confronted with.”
For instance, he says, consider how this generation has been flooded with porn through these facts, outlined in Jezebel’s War with America.
One parenting website reports: According to recent data, 90% of young men age 18 have been exposed to pornography—much of which is hard-core (meaning it often involves violence and overtly explicit imagery). Of the 90%, the average age these young men were sexualized by pornography was between 8-11 years old. Similarly, 60% of young women by the age of 18 have been exposed to porn as well. Almost 80% of this exposure, which isn’t always voluntary, is happening in the perceived safety of their homes.     Divorce lawyers and others have indicated that porn plays a role in around 60% of divorces.     “Porn sites receive more regular traffic than Netflix, Amazon and Twitter combined each month.”     “35% of all internet downloads are porn-related.”     “34% of internet users have been exposed to unwanted porn via ads, pop-ups, etc.”     “People who admit to having extramarital affairs were over 300% more likely to admit consuming porn than those who have never had an affair.”     “At least 30% of all data transferred across the internet is porn-related.”
To put this in context, Brown adds, in December 2017, it was reported that an average of 197 million users visited Amazon.com, and 127 million visited Walmart.com each month. Yet a leading pornography site draws 125 million visitors per day, with roughly 5 million adult videos uploaded to the site in 2018 alone—enough for 115 years of continual viewing.
“What deadly, often unnoticed, side effects,” Brown says. “This is an epidemic of porn. In Jezebel’s War with America, Brown also explains how the forces of radical feminism come together with the extreme pro-abortion movement, among other spiritual and cultural forces, in an attempt to destroy America.
Brown’s eye-opening book not only unveils the satanic plot to destroy America, beginning with an all-out assault on the church, but it will equip believers with tools to defeat the enemy in their own personal lives as well as in the nation. Jezebel’s War with America reveals how the spirit of Jezebel is at work in the 21st century through sexual immorality, abortion, radical feminism and even the fascination with witchcraft and sorcery, and equips readers to defeat the spirit of Jezebel on a personal and national level.
Dr. Michael L. Brown is founder and president of AskDrBrown Ministries and president of FIRE School of Ministry. The author of more than 35 books, including Saving a Sick America (2017), he is also the host of the nationally syndicated daily talk radio show “The Line of Fire,” as well as the host of shows on GOD TV, NRBTV and METV. His syndicated columns appear on many leading websites, and his scholarly publications range from biblical commentaries to articles in Semitic journals and theological dictionaries. He has served as an adjunct or visiting professor at seven leading seminaries and has debated gay activists, agnostic professors and Orthodox rabbis on university campuses.
Jezebel’s War with America by Dr. Michael L. Brown will be released Aug. 6 by FrontLine, an imprint of Charisma House, which publishes books that challenge, encourage, teach and equip Christians.

STRANGE FIRE

STRANGE FIRE,   “WORTH CONSIDEDRING”  5/30/19
1. Deadly visitations. In some charismatic circles today, people are claiming to have spiritual experiences that involve communication with the dead. One Michigan pastor told me last week that some church leaders he knows promote this bizarre practice and base it on Jesus’ experience on the Mount of Transfiguration. The logic is that since Jesus talked to Moses and Elijah on the day He was glorified, this gives us permission to talk to dead Christians and our dead relatives.
Although little is said about these experiences from the pulpit (since the average believer is not ready to handle this “new revelation”), people in some streams of the prophetic movement are claiming to have visitations from Aimee Semple McPherson, William Branham, John Wimber or various Bible characters. And we are expected to say, “Ooooooo, that’s so deep” – and then go looking for our own mystical, beyond-the-grave epiphany.
That is creepy. Communication with the dead was strictly forbidden in the Old Testament (see Deut. 18:11), and there is nothing in the New that indicates the rules were changed. Those who seek counsel from the dead – whether through mediums and séances or in “prophetic visions” – are taking a dangerous step toward demonization.
2. Ecstatic rapture. Not long after ecstasy became known as a recreational drug, someone in our movement got the bright idea to promote spiritual ecstasy as a form of legitimate worship. The concept evolved from “spiritual drunkenness” to the current fad in which people gather at church altars and pretend to shoot needles in their arms for a “spiritual high.” Some preachers today are encouraging people to “toke the Holy Ghost” – a reference to smoking marijuana.
I hate to be a party pooper, but the Bible warns us to “be of sound judgment and sober spirit” (1 Pet. 4:7). There is plenty of freedom and joy in the Holy Spirit; we don’t have to quench it by introducing people to pagan revelry. Christian worship is not about losing control. Those who worship Jesus do it “in spirit and in truth” (John 4:24), and our love for God is not measured by how violently we shake or how many times we fall on the floor.
Recently I told a friend in Pennsylvania that when people get tired of this drug imagery it won’t be long before we see some Christians having sexual experiences at the altar. “It’s already happening,” my friend said. He described a recent “worship concert” in which one of the musicians simulated sex while stroking a microphone and whispering sensual phrases to Jesus. What is next – orgasmic worship? God help us.
3. Angels among us. Angels have always played a vital role in the life of the church. They are “ministering spirits” sent to protect, guide and strengthen believers (Heb. 1:14). But suddenly angels have become the rage in some segments of our movement. People are claiming to see them everywhere, and often the stories don’t line up with the Word of God.
During the Lakeland Revival last year in Florida, a man from Germany took the stage and claimed that an angel walked into a restaurant while he was eating a hamburger, took his intestines out and replaced them with a gold substance. Others have testified that angels took them to heaven and operated on them. And many are claiming that angels are dropping feathers, gold dust and precious gems on worshippers.
I know God can do anything. He can make an iron axe head float, hide a coin in a fish’s mouth and use a little boy’s lunch to feed a multitude. Those were genuine miracles that He can still do today. But we still have to use caution here. There are counterfeits. If we promote a false miracle or a false angel in the Lord’s house, we are participating in strange fire.
I know of a case where a man was caught planting fake jewels on the floor of a church. He told his friends he was “seeding the room” to lift the people’s faith. I know of others who have been caught putting gold glitter on themselves in a restroom and then running back in a church service, only to claim that God was blessing them with this special favor. Where is the fear of God when Christians would actually fabricate a miracle?
This is a time for all true believers with backbones to draw clear lines between what is godly worship and what is pagan practice. We want the miracles of God, but we also want the fear and reverence of God. We cannot allow this strange fire to spread unchecked. ~ J. Lee Grady

YESTERDAY

ALOHA FAMILY AND FRIENDS,  Beloved of God,   John 3:16,   12:24-25,  17:20-26

YESTERDAY,    ‘WORTH CONSIDERING’   5/30/19   (Across my desk this morning…)

Today’s Scripture
“But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead…”  (Phil. 3:13)

Failure Is Not Final
Are you down on yourself today because of past mistakes you’ve made or because you’re not where you want to be in life? God knows every poor choice, every difficulty, every wrong turn you may have made, and He’s already planned your comeback! In Scripture, the prophet Jonah took a detour, so to speak. It took him a little bit longer, but because he called out to God, because he believed, God not only rescued him, but God got him to his final destination.  (And a city was saved from destruction.)

Friend, know today that failure is not final. God always has the final say. Mistakes don’t have to keep you from your destiny. God’s plan can override every setback. Your world may be in turmoil today in a relationship, in your finances or health. But know this: not only will God rescue you, He will set your feet on a rock and lead you to your final destination in life. Remember, the promise He placed on the inside of you didn’t go away because you had some personal failures. No, that failure is only temporary, but His Word remains forever! Keep hoping, keep believing because He will move you into the blessing and victory He has prepared for you!

A Prayer for Today
“Father God, thank You for Your hand of victory and blessing that is on my life. Today, I shake off the past, I shake off failure, I shake off poor choices and trust that You are restoring me and leading me into the plan You have for me in Jesus’ name. Amen!”

My thoughts:
Exceptional concept and to go a step further to consider the futility of living today or tomorrow within the fears, stresses and failures of yesterday.  Sure, we can learn good lessons on what not to do from our past, the whole pain system in our body reflects that learning potential.  But that is not the same as picking up an attitude about someone or a place and letting that obsession shut down any future good changes in that area.  That is called guilt by association or similarity.  A painful X anything can deep 6 another X look a like if we let it.   That is why Christ Jesus taught us that GOD’s forgiveness was predicated or subject to us forgiving others for their past including forgiving ourselves.  Our Creator has made it possible for us to start fresh each new day as the first day of the rest of our lives.  He has told us in 1 John 1:9-10, that if we are transparent about our mistakes (sins) and ask HIS forgiveness that HE would forgive and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  Repent is a huge word through the whole Bible.  God’s purpose is to save us and give us a whole new life with Him if we will humble ourselves and ask for HIS help.  So dragging around the past will only put us into deep depressions and be a total waste of that time in our lives.  It can totally destroy all of your tomorrows.  So for the freedom that we would like to walk in we must first give it also to others in helping them to be released from the past.  You know the verse:  What you sow, is what you will reap.  Want other to forgive and forget your failures,  then guess what?  You will need to forgive theirs as well.  What goes around, comes around.  God made it that way so we would learn and grow.  It is a universal cosmic law in balance.  But if we don’t listen and grow, then our final placement in eternity will be extremely uncomfortable.

You know,  The Bible teaches that when we come to our Heavenly Father in the name of Christ Jesus and ask for HIS forgiveness not only does HE forgive us but HE removed the sin from HIS memory as far as he east from the west,  to never be remembered again,  Psalms 103:12,  the whole chapter is on the forgiveness that we can enjoy if we have enough humility to make Christ Jesus our LORD  & Savior (King, Boss, Ruler) keep HIS commandments and have a heart of love and forgiveness for all others.

Yours in HIS great love and wonderful forgiveness and mercy,   Ken<><   www.Trinity-Aloha.org   Please put our little beginning “House Church” on your prayer list, if you will?  We are having faith to start a very hot Holy Spirit fire in this very local area of Kealia,  South Kona, Hawaii.

Election/Free Will

Aloha Friends and Family,
It appears that my GrandSon,  Rev. Riley Fraas,  has my mailing list?  My apology,   My thoughts to him were as follows:

Aloha Riley,
OK… Stuck on Page 16…  of your Book,  “Chosen To Be Holy”

Of course,  SEEMS your point of view of Predestination and election are totally disconnected from Foreknowledge, Free-Will and Love.     ( LOVE can not exist without Free Will.)  So you have erased Rom. 8:29, 1 Peter 1:2 and Acts 2:22 and you can not do that.  If you are going to proof text anything you have to use all of the scriptures on the subject:  You have come from a Calvinist camp that excludes all the “conditional” scriptures from their doctrine.  The New Testament is absolutely packed with conditional scriptures that indicate that we are totally responsible in our eternal choice of light or darkness.  We are born headed for hell and the grave as the children of Adam.  But our Creator has made a way of escape for us in Christ Jesus if we want it.  1 John 1:17  An “IF” Conditional Verse of hundreds concerning free will.

As I wrote you before,  Our Creator, in HIS dimension of Eternity,  knew from the beginning who would be seeking HIS light or not and has made our access to HIM and light possible in HIS predestination.  But we are now locked in the dimension of time and do not have that knowledge,  1 Cor.13.  So if we have an interest in the light by our free will then we can work out our salvation with faith and expectancy by God’s grace.   “Whosoever will, may come and drink of the waters of life freely.” Rev.22:17 by Christ Jesus.

Another scripture concerning the use of Foreknowledge:  Acts 2:22

22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:  23 Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:  24 Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.   (lucifer only had the right to kill sinners at that time.)

So again, your doctrine must be inclusive of the free will, love and the foreknowledge of God of knowing what choices we would make and weaving them into HIS final Vision of creating an eternal family.   I was offended by your use of my mailing list without my permission.     Perhaps you will send my thought out on your list as well?     Love you much,  GDad<><

More on the subject:

https://www.biblestudytools.com/dictionaries/bakers-evangelical-dictionary/foreknowledge.html

“Calvin states no less dogmatically than Luther that foreknowledge leaves no room whatsoever for free will. Period. We are astonished that Calvin repeatedly makes fallacious, unbiblical statements; and doubly astounded that so many leading evangelicals continue to praise him for being so logical and such a great exegete.

If God cannot know by His foreknowledge what every person will think and do by their free will, then He is not God. Moreover, the fact that God is able to allow man freedom of choice while still effecting His eternal purposes unhindered is all the more glorifying to His sovereign wisdom, power, and foreknowledge.

What is future to us may not be future to God: He sees not only our past but our present and future as already having happened. From this understanding, God’s knowledge of what in our experience hasn’t yet happened would have no effect upon its occurrence and therefore would leave us free to choose.

Even Augustine (known as the father of modern Catholicism), whom both Calvin and Luther admired, clearly affirmed that there is no incompatibility between God’s absolute sovereignty and foreknowledge and man’s free will:

Therefore we are by no means compelled, either, retaining the prescience of God to take away the freedom of the will, or, retaining the freedom of the will, to deny that He is prescient of future things, which is impious. But we… faithfully and sincerely confess both.

Dear Friends, Brothers, and Sisters,

I have just released a study guide on Ephesians. It is now available for order in paperback and e-book. It consists of 13 lessons on Ephesians with about 12 review questions after each. Also included is an answer key and a new translation of Paul’s epistle to the Ephesians. The intent of this book is for it to be a comprehensive resource for group study.

It is also available in a large print paperback format. If you do read it, I’d like to know what you think.

I thought you would like to know. Be blessed, Friends, Brothers, and Sisters!

GOD’S VISION

GOD’S VISION:      “WORTH CONSIDERING”    5/29/19

ALOHA FAMILY AND FRIENDS,  Beloved of God,  John 3:16,  12:24-26,  17:20-24   (Good study,  theses verses.)

SO WHAT IS GOD’S VISION FOR YOU?
There is a lot to that little question…  most folks do not have the foggiest idea of God’s vision for them personally…

So lets start from scratch from Gen. 1:26:   Then God said, “Let Us (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) make man in Our image, according to Our likeness [not physical, but a spiritual personality and moral likeness]; and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the cattle, and over the entire earth, and over everything that creeps and crawls on the earth.” 27 So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 And God blessed them [granting them certain authority] and said to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subjugate it [putting it under your power]; and rule over (dominate) the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and every living thing that moves upon the earth.”

So God’s original intent was to make you and me in His Image and Likeness,  which is a spiritual fire and now in Christ Jesus, both physical/spiritual.  (See FIRE on a previous “Worth Considering.”…  So He, God is in the process of creating a family of beings like Himself and you have been invited.   So from what Jesus Taught us, HIS Heavenly Father always gets what HE has a vision for.  As Jesus only received from HIS Heavenly Father what HE taught then we can expect this original Vision to come to pass as per Luke 14:27-29 And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.   28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?  29 Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him.

So from eternity to now and then to eternity God has in HIS vision to make you in HIS IMAGE and LIKENESS.  And for those who will by faith allow GOD to extract Adam’s carnal nature from their lives they can expect to be gathered into the family of GOD for Eternity.

So God knew all this in the very beginning.  He knew that lucifer, Adam, Saul, Ahab, Judas would go south.  And HE made provision for those who like HIS light to go north in Christ Jesus.  Paul teaches us this in 1 Cor.15:21   For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.   22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.   23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.

So for those who really don’t like the darkness and would like to come to the light,  God saw you in the very beginning through His foreknowledge as in HIS creation and has made a way for you in HIS mercy and grace to find Jesus as LORD.  The prophet Isaiah (Circa 700BC)  53:6 says it this way:  All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. and to match this: Rev.22:17    And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.  Please read in context.

So the door to being with God’s Family in Eternity opens as Christ Jesus become your LORD and as your LORD HE becomes your salvation from eternal outer darkness,  Rom. 10:9-10.

So you see, GOD gave our grandfather Adam the opportunity to make the transition from a living soul to a spiritual being in the beginning with love, joy and peace with an evening teaching stroll each evening.  But Adam took to his own way, and us with him, into the darkness.  But God, already had the solution considered.  It was very costly, but the end results would be the family that GOD had the vision for.  A family with free will and yet totally submitted to HIS Love, Wisdom and in total obedience.  Therefore we are in a temporary time school for a life time to decide if we want to graduate into the darkness or His Light and then walk it out with HIS grace and mercy.  And the results are final, we get one time through to decide.  Deciding sooner is better than later, less trash to have to toss.  But God’s Vision will come to pass for those who seek HIS light and truth which set’s us free.  And how to make Jesus really LORD,  check out the New Testament as to HIS directions for your life.  You would be amazed at how exciting it can become to be a little kid again just following after the Holy Spirit to the Glory of the Father and Christ Jesus.

Please find the Home Page: www.Trinity-Aloha.org   Look for a file called “Worth Considering” and a book called “Keys To The Kingdom.”   They could be very helpful for a good start for seeking HIS Light, along with the New Testament if interested.

PLANNING

ALOHA FAMILY AND FRIENDS,  Beloved of GOD,  John 3:16,  12:24-26,  17:20-26

PLANNING,   “WORTH CONSIDERING”   5/29/19    (Across my desk this morning.)

Today’s Scripture
“Careful planning puts you ahead in the long run; hurry and scurry puts you further behind.”
(Proverbs 21:5, MSG)

Be Proactive in Sharing God’s Love
Are you kind and considerate to people? Do you walk in love and prefer others above yourself? This passage tells us to be proactive! Notice the word “aim” and “seek.” You must be on the lookout to share God’s mercy and kindness and be good to all people. Moreover, we need to be kind to people even when they don’t deserve it. We need to walk in love and be courteous even when somebody is unkind to us.

The way you treat others has a great impact on how much of the blessings and favor of God you’re going to experience. Aim for kindness and seek to do good. As you do, God will reward your efforts and pour out His abundant blessing on you. As you extend God’s mercy to all those around you, you will discover the champion in you!

A Prayer for Today
“Father in heaven, thank You for Your goodness in my life. I choose to focus on You today no matter what my circumstances may look like. Give me Your peace as I keep my mind stayed on You in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

Ken’s Thoughts,
I know that this works very practically for me.  I have a file on my computer for things i need to get when I drive 20 miles go to Kailua Kona.  I make a copy before I leave and check off the stuff as I find it.   In Proverbs 29: 17-18 wisdom says this:   17 Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest; yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul.   18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

So planning ahead does give us more time to do more things..  Going back to the store from where we live now costs another day at my age.  Same for other important events.  My wife’s birthday is today ???  forgot to say Happy Birthday this morning….OK, texting… That worked… she will be gone all day to work and Bible Study…. LOL…  Should have written it down.  So if you are living by the seat of your pants and forgetting to love one another, might want to start getting organized and write yourself notes.   My wife want’s to go out to dinner on Sat. Evening for prime rib…  Will make that happen with something special at where we are going.  So love with planning and a vision makes life so much better…

God has a vision for us with a great deal of planning,  do you know what it is?  Do you know why the world smells like an arm pit 🙁?  Do you know why God does not do something about it yesterday?  Don’t miss my next effort at making GOD’s Vision clear for us.   Love you much in Christ Jesus,   Ken<>< O:-)   www.Trinity-Aloha.org

(If in the area, we have a forum kind of Bible Fellowship on Friday evenings that is also a pot blessing.  So come if you can:   85-4554 Mamalahoa Hwy.  about 6 PM.  Also previous studies can be found:   www.Trinity-Aloha.org  using the link “Worth Considering.”)

REVIVAL

ALOHA FAMILY AND FRIENDS,  Beloved of God,  John 3:16

REVIVAL  “WORTH CONSIDERING”  5/27/19

When a young Christian I was taught that big gatherings with a famous speaker was at the very heart of a great revival.   That all of those souls coming together was obviously a great revival.   But as I look through history it seems that real revivals changed the whole landscape of a town, county, state and even sometime a nation.  It was a very hot fire that burned up a lot of trash and garbage.

James A. Stewart put it this way:  “”Revival is the assemblies of God manifesting the oneness of the
membership in the mystical, supernatural body of Christ, delivered
from denominational bigotry.  Revival is torrents of living water flowing out of the individual believer.

Revival is the recognition of the ministry of insignificant members of the body, and deliverance from idol worship of the more prominent members who are in the limelight." From my perspective, Revival is the results of the Holy Spirit anointing some one or a few with a vision to start a fire in the middle of nowhere in a rain storm. Most of the "Religious Theater Church" is on death row seeking to preserved their stuff. A a lot of folks are tired of religion and are spiritually cold, wet and hungry for some reality with GOD. So Revival starts when some folks gather together and do what Jesus set the example to do and you start with a fresh start. At first you get some smoke and only a tiny fire in the Holy Spirit. But if care is taken not to put too much wet stuff on the fire but mostly dry kindling then soon the fire becomes hot and growing. And as long as the kindling is dry enough to catch on fire then the fire will grow bigger and bigger until it runs out of fuel. Fire has no limit if there is fuel. When really hot, then even big wet logs can be added and the fire will dry them out and catch them on fire as well. Better to burn out than rot out any day....don't you think? Some of the basic issues for enjoying a revival are in learning to work together in a John 17 UNITY in: Love, Faith, Holiness, God's Truth, Humility, Obedience and all that kind of good stuff. The Holy Spirit wants to have a Revival all the time. But HE has a hard time finding souls who are up for the change to allow HIM to work with them to make them like Jesus, 1 John 4:17. Seems not even enough kindling to start a small fire most of the time. So really, Revival is always up to God's people getting into the New Testament and working through the commandments of Christ Jesus in loving unity for real. A friend, in 1955, Bob Newkirk, once told me of a vision that he had. " There was a very big banyan tree in the middle of a large meadow absolutely full of beautiful daises on a beautiful afternoon. Hundreds of people were gathered sitting in a long line around the tree making a lovely daisy chain, it was long and beautifully done. Also there was a road running around the meadow that ran behind the tree with a high volume of traffic in the distance. Only problem was that the bridge was out behind the tree, the cars could not see and so they were all going over the edge into the big canyon below. Once in a while you could hear someone scream and several would get up to go try to stop the traffic but the other folks in the daisy chain would calm them down and get them back to work on the daisy chain." I never forgot this vision and have a picture in my study with the Cross of Christ as a bridge over that canyon. The story sure kicked me in the butt to try to do what I could. He gave me another one also that he had on unity, but for another time. There is but one CHURCH of Christ Jesus and all who love and obey HIM are members. HONOR

ALOHA FAMILY AND FRIENDS,  Beloved of God,  John 3:16

HONOR, “WORTH CONSIDERING”
5/27/19   (Across my desk this morning,  Memorial Day from Joel.)

Today’s Scripture
“He has declared that he will set you in praise, fame and honor high…”Deuteronomy 26:19, NIV

Sowing Honor
All throughout Scripture, we see that God blesses an attitude of honor. In Exodus, it says that when we honor our parents, we are promised long life. In Proverbs, when we pursue righteousness, we will find life, prosperity and honor. To show honor simply means that you give respect and recognition. There are many ways to show honor to others with your attitude, actions and words. I believe that as we humble ourselves and give honor, we will reap a harvest of honor in our lives in return.

Today, we recognize Memorial Day. It’s a time when we honor all the men and women who have given their lives in service for this country. “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends” (John 15:13, NIV). As we remember what these brave men and women did, let’s honor the gift of freedom they have given us by saying thank you with our actions and choosing to love and honor others. Let’s also honor all those who are serving in our armed forces and their families who have sacrificed so much. We appreciate you, love you and pray for God’s peace, protection and provision over every area of your lives!

A Prayer for Today
“Heavenly Father, thank you for giving your peace, protection and provision for those who are serving in our armed forces and their families who have sacrificed for this country. In Jesus name, amen.”

My thoughts:
An interesting topic today…  Honor is a kind of faith or Reverence.  A type of faith that helps make good changes.  It is seeing, believing and acting as though certain character obvious flaws were not there.   Like a mother with a young son.   When correctly placed, honor- reverence – faith can help change people into what they were created to become.  Often used in movie scripts as we all like to see the bad guy change into being the good guy and have a happy ending.  As a country we are taught in the Holy Scriptures to even have this attitude towards those in authority who have been allowed by GOD to govern.  This would help them to better rule in a good way.

There are a lot of teachings in the New Testament concerning honor.  Jesus taught that those who served HIM and followed HIS example would be honored by HIS HEAVENLY FATHER…  now that’s a big +++.   And Apostle Paul taught that those who changed to become like Jesus would be honored, Rom.2:7  and that we should give honor to whom honor is due and custom to whom custom is due, Rom. 13:7  And to give honor to even the ugly parts of the Body of Christ, 1 Cor.12:24.  And of course honor can be used to manipulate in a negative way, Col.2:23.   As with just about everything GOD has set in place for GOOD, it can and has been counterfeited and used for evil by the enemy.

Honor is also a type of Reverence Faith which is also recommended by Paul as a kind of faith for wives to use to help their husbands grow into the men of God that they have been created to become,  Eph.5:33
Reverence – Honor:

.
deep respect for someone or something:  To revere, respect, admire, think highly of, have a high opinion of, hold in high regard, esteem, hold in (high) esteem, think much of, approve of, appreciate, cherish, value, set (great) store by, prize, treasure, look up to;

worship, pay homage to, venerate, adulate, hold in awe, idolize, put on a pedestal, lionize, hero-worship, honor, love

HOLY SPIRIT

HOLY SPIRIT    5/25/19  ” WORTH CONSIDERING ”

As the Holy Spirit was assigned by Christ Jesus (The Word of God) to gather HIS CHURCH together; knowing about the Holy Spirit is extremely important for all Christians.

The Holy Spirit is possible the least understood of the Trinity of God.   Think of Water, H2O that can be solid (ice) liquid (water) vapor (steam)…   The same element but different purposes.  Trinity,  1 Jn.5:6-8

So the Holy Spirit as per the Bible can be sad, angry, insulted resisted, seal, confirm, empower, miss-represented and make people Holy.  Is.63:10, Mt.12:31, Acts 7:51, Eph.4:30, Heb.10:29..

He also loves, prays, teaches, testifies, communicates and heals as a person: Neh 9:20, Jn 15:26, Ac 13:2, Rom.8:26-27, 15:30, 1 Cor. 12:11.

But HE is also like a wind that can not be seen except for the results and can be everywhere at the same time and in contact with every soul that is truly seeking GOD’s LIGHT.

This is information that every Christian should seek to know.  Much of this can be found at:
https://www.biblestudytools.com/bible-study/topical-studies/who-is-the-holy-spirit-5-things-you-need-to-know.html

So in the ministry of Christ Jesus we have access to the Holy Spirit to help us on our way into the family of GOD.  This is and was the original vision of our Creator in the very beginning to make us into HIS IMAGE and LIKENESS and HE never changes HIS mind.

First, we are drawn to Christ Jesus by the Holy Spirit if we are seeking for TRUTH.  John 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.   The ministry of the Holy Spirit to help us gain truth and faith and become justified.  But unless we also learn to grow in faith we don’t make it.   Luke 8:6,   Heb.10:38  Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. 39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition (hell); but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

And we see here that growing in faith ultimately saves our soul to live with GOD.  So this is the primary ministry of the Holy Spirit.   The ministry to help us get saved from hell by trusting in the finished work of Jesus in dying for the sins of the whole world and becoming Christ Jesus the Word,   God made man for eternity.  The first born of many brethren.  The first of this new kind in the Image and Likeness of GOD as in the original vision of GOD.  So as Apostle Paul teaches us in Romans 10 9-10 when we trust Christ Jesus to be our LORD and truly submit to HIM in our heart and also from the heart believe in the resurrection we begin the walk of the WAY to live with God forever.  This act of faith from the heart to make Christ Jesus Lord and believe in HIS resurrection and victory over death, hell and the grave puts us on the Road of Truth for Eternal Life.  But we start by faith and we walk by faith and as Jesus taught, “He that endures to the end, shall be saved, Matt.10:22, & James 1:12  Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him..

So lets start back with Abraham.  “Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness, Rom. 4:3, James 2:23.  An so as per Heb.11, so when we make Christ Jesus LORD HE also becomes our Savior.  It is not the other way around.  It is not fire insurance, it is in submitting to Christ Jesus as LORD.

Then along came Moses who spent 40 years learning how to be king of Egypt, then 40 years learning how to tend sheep and goats and then 40 years as a prophet of God for the children of Abraham.   And in that last 40 years he was given the design for the Tabernacle in the Wilderness which was also prophetic for us, the Church.   The only door was in the East and had 4 posts and 3 entrances.  Jesus made mention in HIS teachings that HE was the only door to GOD.  So why the three entrances in the same door.  Jesus came as Savior, Priest and King, the 3 primary colors of the rainbow that give us white light.  So Jesus Saves, Seals and Empowers in HIS ministry to and for us.  We are saved, we get baptized to bury Adams bugs and then we are filled with the Holy Spirit for Power to do HIS work on earth.

So the third doorway is Jesus sending the Holy Spirit to empower us and this is what this paper is about.

POWER
We all love super heroes and victory.  So this is a paper on how to become a super hero and to have victory in your life and ministry.   Otherwise you may just be religious and eventually boring.

So as a Baptized, Born from above Christian what do we need to know.

First, as a Christian you can be born from above and still not yet be empowered.  That is why Paul in Acts 19:2 asked the disciples in Ephesus the question: “Have ye received the Holy Ghost (Spirit) since ye believed?”  Paul thought they were Christians but something was wrong?

John 20:19 please noticed that the Disciples of Jesus became “Christians” for the very first time in verse 22 when they received the Holy Ghost (Spirit) but it was another 50 days before they receive the Holy Spirit for Power at Pentecost.  So we see that the Holy Spirit brings us to salvation, seals us as we bury, by faith, the carnal man from Adam in Baptism.  And then the Holy Spirit empowers us for the work that HE would have us do in helping build the Church of Christ Jesus.  By the way, there is but one Church of Christ Jesus and all who LOVE and OBEY HIM are members.

Acts 8:16, Notice that the Samaritan people who were saved under Philip did not receive the Holy Spirit until Peter and John came up to Samaria.

Now let’s turn to the Story of Saul’s conversion to Paul on the road to Damascus.  My feeling is that Saul (the persecutor of Christians) was still deeply moved by what happened to Stephen in his martyrdom of being stoned to death, Acts 7 and was still trying to clear his mind of hypocrisy on the way to Damascus to persecute the Christians that were there..  But along the Road Saul met Jesus and became Paul the Christian.  He confessed Jesus as LORD and believed in the resurrection so at that point in time he became a Christian.  But blinded he was told to find Ananias to be filled with the Holy Ghost (Spirit) Acts.9:17.   So we see three examples of where folks were saved but still trying to do GOD work in their own strength.  And this is why there is such little power of God in the Church today.   Apostle Paul gave this Prophesy in 2 Tim.3:5 that in the later days the church would have a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

FIRE:
OK where do we go from here.   WE are in a rain storm and cold and wet…  We need fire.  Now this is interesting as in Ezek 28:18 the prophet Ezekiel looks into the future in the Holy Spirit and makes this prophesy:…”I (GOD) will bring forth a fire from the midst of thee (lucifer) and it shall devour (destroy) thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold the.”

So we follow the fire along and come to Jesus as recorded by Mattr. 3:11 and Luke 3:16 that Jesus wold baptize (saturate) with the Holy Ghost (Spirit) and with fire.   Luke 12:49 quotes Jesus as saying: “ I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled?”  And following along we come to the beginning of the Church in Acts 2:3 where Luke again records: “And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of the,.  And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost (Spirit) and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.  And Peter reminded them of the prophesy of Joel 2:28 concerning the power that would be released to help save the lost.

Again in Hebrews 1, Apostle Paul mentions us a Ministers of Fire in verse 7….  So we have a full on precedent to be and become together a fire in the LORD.   But you can not build a fire out of wet stuff and in the open in a rain storm.  And it is very difficult to set on fire a soggy church membership.   Better to find a dry spot out in the middle of no where.  gather as much dry stuff together as is available and start from scratch.  If the fire gets really hot then those cold and wet will come to get warm and dried out.  But don’t be kicking out the spokes of the other guys stuff as our LORD taught, “They that gather with us are not against us.”  There are many factors needed in the building of an Acts 29 Church.  Love of course is the core…  Not enough love and you can not resolve the divisions.  And to agree to disagree will not work at all for a John 17 Unity.  And after Love comes GOD’s TRUTH to set us free.  It is Unity in God’s Truth in obedience and humility that allows us to build a basket.  And when the basket is ready then the gifts of the Holy Spirit will saturate the ministry and turn that whole ministry into a very hot fire.

It is possible to infiltrate an old line denominational church and catch in on fire.  I watched Dennis Bennet do that in Houston Texas with the Holy Spirit to a really old Episcopal Church in the heart of the city that was nearly dried up.  But it is very difficult.  Personally, for me, I have had better results in starting from ground zero in the middle of no where in the Early type of a House Church.  Search the word “house” from Acts to Rev.  it is an interesting study.  Starting from Acts 2:2, 5:42, 10:22, 12:12, 16:34, 16:40, 17:5, 18:7, 18:18, 20:20, 21:8, 28:30….  Not one mention of a building called a church any where in the New Testament.  The CHURCH was always the people and they were gathering in personal homes.  And it seems to me that the ministers and elders were always self supporting.  So gifts and offerings were given to help the poor and to support evangelism .  Study for next Friday so please check it all out real good….
