TRUST & OBEY,   “WORTH CONSIDERING”     11/6/19   (Across my desk this morning.)

Today’s Scripture
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight…”  (Proverbs 3:5-6, NIV)
Divine Interruptions

We all have times when our plans don’t work out. We get delayed, interrupted and inconvenienced. It’s easy to get frustrated and fight against everything that doesn’t go our way. But not every interruption is bad. Every closed door doesn’t mean you’re doing something wrong. Every delay doesn’t mean you’re not where you’re supposed to be. God sees the big picture for your life. God knows where every road is leading. He knows the dead ends and shortcuts. A big part of faith is trusting God when you don’t understand why things happen the way they do.

God may close a door because you’re believing too small. If He opened the door, it would limit what He wants to do in your life. An interruption may come because it’s not the right time, or there are other people involved and they’re not ready yet. Sometimes God will allow us to be inconvenienced so we can help someone else in need. We have to be willing to press through difficulty so we can be at the right place at the right time. The next time you’re interrupted, delayed or inconvenienced, don’t start thinking, “This is a pain. This is getting me off schedule.” No, get a new perspective. Look for what God wants to do because it could be divine interruption or divine protection. Trust Him today because He is directing your steps.
A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for choosing me. I surrender every area of my mind, will and emotions to You. Use me for Your glory today and teach me to discern Your ways in Jesus’ name. Amen.”


My Thoughts:
This is right on time for me.  With this property we are in the final stages of completion with the last building.  There is yet much to do.  Off grid solar system,  complete the 4th bathroom,  weed garden beds and plant,  sort boxes from move to keep or dump.   And much much more.  But I have a bad case of arthritis now in my feet and can not find good help to get all of this stuff done.  So today’s message is for me to just TRUST & OBEY and it is not any easier to do at 87.  The vision is to make a space for someone or a married couple who is spiritually centered and can and loves to do this kind of stuff and would like to live in Hawaii.  A board and room work/trade if you will.  But so far, the folks that have come have been temporary and get their feet on the ground and then tend to move on.  So be in prayer for us that we find the right people to help make this place sing as a bright witness for our Lord Jesus Christ.

Seems to me that a big train load of bad choices is screaming down the tracks to a dead end for this nation for there are no more tracks laid.   The politicians have been kicking the debt can down the road now for a long time.  About 50 years ago we allowed our moral and Godly value system to be destroyed in our schools,  which is the backbone of our country.   And without this backbone of conscience we now have generations of children growing up who have found their conscience by the use of video games and T.V. and such.   So we are in deep need of a seriously powerful time of revival in the Holy Spirit so that the world can again see Christ Jesus.  Eph.4:11-16:  “11 And His gifts were [varied; He Himself appointed and gave men to us] some to be apostles (special messengers), some prophets (inspired preachers and expounders), some evangelists (preachers of the Gospel, traveling missionaries), some pastors (shepherds of His flock) and teachers.12 His intention was the perfecting and the full equipping of the saints (His consecrated people), [that they should do] the work of ministering toward building up Christ’s body (the church),13 [That it might develop] until we all attain oneness in the faith and in the comprehension of the [[a]full and accurate] knowledge of the Son of God, that [we might arrive] at really mature manhood (the completeness of personality which is nothing less than the standard height of Christ’s own perfection), the measure of the stature of the fullness of the Christ and the completeness found in Him.14 So then, we may no longer be children, tossed [like ships] to and fro between chance gusts of teaching and wavering with every changing wind of doctrine, [the prey of] the cunning and cleverness of [b]unscrupulous men, [gamblers engaged] in every shifting form of trickery in inventing errors to mislead.15 Rather, let our lives lovingly [c]express truth [in all things, speaking truly, dealing truly, living truly]. Enfolded in love, let us grow up in every way and in all things into Him Who is the Head, [even] Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).16 For because of Him the whole body (the church, in all its various parts), closely joined and firmly knit together by the joints and ligaments with which it is supplied, when each part [with power adapted to its need] is working properly [in all its functions], grows to full maturity, building itself up in love.”  So please study this scripture and pray for it to happen…

Today’s Scripture

Choose to Enjoy Life

A seventeenth-century monk named Brother Lawrence found the answer to enjoying the nitty-gritty of everyday life. He was a humble cook in a French monastery, but he authored a book entitled, “Practicing the Presence of God.” In it he explained how he was able to turn even the most commonplace and menial tasks, such as preparing meals and washing dishes, into acts of praise and communion with God. The key, he wrote, was not to change what you do, but to change your attitude toward what you do. When you begin doing these tasks, realize that you are doing them for God. Use it as an opportunity to worship Him through acts of service. When you do, you will discover pleasure even in taking out the trash. So don’t let the enemy deceive you into thinking that you must get away from your daily routine in order to truly enjoy life. Don’t wait for your next vacation—enjoy today and every day as a gift from God. Enjoy getting up and eating breakfast. Enjoy going to work. Enjoy mowing the lawn. Enjoy going to the grocery store. Enjoy washing the dishes. You have to do these things anyway—why not choose to enjoy them? When you do, you will go through life with a smile on your face, a spring in your step, and enjoy the abundant, overflowing life of victory that God has in store for you.!
A Prayer for Today
“God, what an amazing and blessed day this will be when I choose to tackle every task with joy and thanksgiving. As I go through my to-do list, I will do so knowing that every day is a gift and I am happy to accept it from my Father in Heaven. In Jesus’ name – Amen.”

My Thoughts:
Such a good teaching today.  Joy is not in the stuff or about the stuff but in how the stuff makes it possible for souls to better see and explore God’s eternal Kingdom through the stuff.  Yesterday I was running some errands that I really felt too tired to do at my age,  attitude not too good, but had to be done.  I was starting to gripe a bit but then thought to turn on the New Testament CD and in just a few minutes I was listening to James, Peter and John and forgot all about how I felt.   And every thing got done and got home OK.  Got to go again today and also do Costco shopping,  Sue is on vacation for a couple of weeks so home alone.  But all is well in Christ Jesus.  Ever listened to the little Book of James for meaning??   INTENSE !!!!

The Holy Spirit has been directing my attention this last few weeks and the fact that when GOD’s Word shares about up becoming a Holy people that it is exactly what HE means.  In so many ways we tend to rationalize the darkness into being OK.  That somehow God making us to be a Holy people is not possible.  So we tend to wonder off and create our own illusion of truth which is modified with the worlds lies.  And soon good becomes evil and evil becomes good.  OVER AND OVER  in the New Testament the writers teach us in the Holy Spirit that to be friends with the world is to be the enemy of GOD.  Look for this as you read through the New Testament.  We have been born into a corrupted world system and we grow up as friends with that system of thought.  The Word of God teaches that if any soul be in Christ Jesus that they are a NEW CREATION,  that old things are passing away and that behold, all things are becoming new.
 
Jesus teaches it this way through John the “Beloved” 

John 12:24-26 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

24 I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, Unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains [just one grain; it never becomes more but lives] by itself alone. But if it dies, it produces many others and yields a rich harvest.

25 Anyone who loves his life loses it, but anyone who hates his life in this world will keep it to life eternal. [Whoever has no love for, no concern for, no regard for his life here on earth, but despises it, preserves his life forever and ever.]

26 If anyone serves Me, he must continue to follow Me [[a]to cleave steadfastly to Me, conform wholly to My example in living and, if need be, in dying] and wherever I am, there will My servant be also. If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.

TALENTS & GIFTS,       “WORTH CONSIDERING”    11/4/19   (Across my desk this morning,  2020 nearly here.)       

Today’s Scripture
“The purposes of a person’s heart are deep waters, but one who has insight draws them out…”  (Proverbs 20:5, NIV)
A Person of Understanding

You are equipped with everything you need to fulfill your passion and purpose in this life! Everything you need is inside you—like deep waters. You draw those deep things out when you stay open and humble before the Lord. You draw those things out when you align your life with what He says in His Word. That’s what makes you a person of understanding. Proverbs also tells us that a person of understanding delights in wisdom. A person of understanding is even-tempered. A person of understanding is not easily led astray and maintains peace and order (Prov. 10:23; 15:21; 17:27; 28:2). Don’t just live on the surface of life today. Draw from the resources that God has placed inside you. As you keep your heart open by obeying the Word of God, His purposes will become clearer; His provision will be more clearly seen. His direction for you will unfold so you can move forward confidently in the direction of your dreams!
A Prayer for Today
“Heavenly Father, thank You for equipping me with everything I need to be a success in life. I choose to humbly submit my life to You and obey Your Word. Thank You for revealing Your plans and purposes for me today in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

My Thoughts:
For me, Talents seem to be genetic while gifts can be added.   I agree we are born with the talents needed to accomplish the life that God would have us perfect.  But we can also use the talents for other things.  I often use the analogy,  “Billy Graham” could have been a very successful used car salesman.  But he used his talents to be an Evangelist for the LORD.  A lot of marriages have deep issues as the talents are not aligned in unity and are not being used as designed and cause friction and stress.  And the example of Christ and HIS Church is not reviled to the world very well as was in the design plans of GOD.

As for the gifts of the Holy Spirit,  1 Cor. 12,  We are taught that we are to seek them but that praying in tongues is the least of the 9 gifts.  The gifts are here taught to be:  Wisdom,  Word of Knowledge, Faith, Healing, Miracles, Prophesy, Tongues, Interpretation of Tongues….  These are gifts that are received in and by the Holy Spirit and are to be given as directed,  but they are not a ministry, they are gifts.  Once given it is a gone event until the Holy Spirit gives another gift to be given.   In ministry these gifts also are effective and are greatly needed to accomplish the goals of a ministry.  In Eph. 4:11 we find the Ministries listed for the perfecting of the LORD”S CHURCH.  Often an apostle will receive a Word of Knowledge and Wisdom as are needed by his office.  Often a Prophet with receive the gift of Prophesy to share God’s Thoughts.  Often an Evangelist will be giving the gifts of Healing and Miracles as they bring souls to Christ Jesus as LORD.   Chapter 12, 13 & 14 of 1 Cor. should be studied as a unit, a sandwich if you will with the meat being 1 Cor.13.  It is a great study on Church as the people and not the structure.

The Deaconate (https://www.openbible.info/topics/deacons ) and the Elders are like two silk gloves for the left and right hands for the HOLY SPIRIT if you will.   The Holy Spirit wants to flow through us like the fingers on two hands to touch the world for Christ Jesus.  In the right hand the glove is designed for apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers.   The deacons have like ministries for the left hand but as a support for the right hand.  If a person is right handed then they hold things with the left hand and do the finer work with the right.  This is an exceptional design for the LORD’s CHURCH is to work in order to touch our very sick world for Christ Jesus.  Jesus prayed in John 17, that we would come to understand how this all works and find loving unity in HIS Truth as we learn together in HIS vision to be free in HIM.

Eph.4:11-16,   The five ministries listed are like a corporations with 5 basic offices,  The Visionary, Quality Control, Sales,  Manufacturing and Parts.  The Apostle gets the vision, the Prophets keeps the dirt out, the evangelist adds the energy, the pastor brings the parts together and the teacher Mfg. the parts.  In a corporation if these offices functioned well the Corporation would be successful.   If the Church would learn how this works we would have a lot more Christians gathering together.

VOICE OF GOD      “WORTH CONSIDERING”    11/1/19,   (Across my desk this morning,  exceptional.)

Today’s Scripture
“If only you carefully listen to the voice of the Lord your God…”    (Deut. 15:5, AMPC)
Choose The Voice Of Faith

All through the day, there are always two voices competing for our attention—the voice of faith and the voice of defeat. You’ll hear a voice saying, “You’ll never rise any higher. You don’t have what it takes. You’ve reached your limit.” But if you listen carefully, you’ll hear another voice saying, “You are well able. You can do all things through Christ. Your best days are still up ahead.” You are the one who gets to choose which voice comes to life. The way you do it is by speaking it out of your own mouth. The moment you verbalize that thought, you give it the right to come to pass. When you speak faith, you’re in agreement with God. When you speak defeat, you’re in agreement with the enemy. God-talk brings God on the scene. Enemy-talk brings the enemy on the scene. Why don’t you get in agreement with God today? That negative voice may be louder, but you can override it. You can take away all of its power by simply choosing the voice of faith. Choose to declare favor, blessing and increase over your life so that you can walk in the victory the Lord has in store for you.
A Prayer for Today
“Heavenly Father, today and everyday, I choose the voice of faith and victory. I declare that today I am rising up higher in You, that I can do all things because You give me strength. I bless and honor You in everything I do. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.”

My Thoughts:
Great topic today and much needed.  When we moved out into the country to Kealia which is about 20 miles from Kailua Kona our only option for cable and internet was spectrum.  So I set is up as I use the Internet all the time.   But when I got the cable box from Spectrum the stations went into the thousands.  I don’t watch much TV so a total waste on me but it was amazing as to how many voices I could select to choose from.  And most were lying as we all know that buying this or that will not make us better or happier but the hype and sales pitch goes on and on. 

Jesus taught: “Believe Me when I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, the time is coming and is here now when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear it shall live,  John 5:25 and  “ So everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts upon them [obeying them] will be like a sensible (prudent, practical, wise) man who built his house upon the rock.  25 And the rain fell and the floods came and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. Matt. 7:24-25″  and  “I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, that I Myself am the Door [a]for the sheep.8 All others who came [as such] before Me are thieves and robbers, but the [true] sheep did not listen to and obey them.9 I am the Door; anyone who enters in through Me will be saved (will live). He will come in and he will go out [freely], and will find pasture”, John 10:7-9.  My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me,”  John 10:27.

So a lot depends upon our channel selection as to what voice we hear.  As I put these thought together for you during the week, I do try to tune in very carefully to HIS voice and I enjoy HIS fellowship so very much.  But I have to be quiet in my own mind and shut down all of the other voices that I tend to pick up.  My voice, other peoples voices, demonic voices, dumb voices and the vain imaginations at times which at my age are no longer even realistic.  But when I do tune into the voice of my Creator, often it is so emotional that tears come to my eyes that so much joy and peace is experienced.  The Holy Spirit always speaks with faith and in agreement with the Word of God.  He is never manipulative with fear, pride, lust, greed, hate, lies and such things of the flesh and enemy.  But the enemy seeks to get our attention all the time with that trash.  This world is so full of lies and it is so easy to get tangled up in them.  We really do need to take the time to learn to hear the Voice of GOD.  The personal and national debts of this nation is so huge now from have it now and pay later that a train load of serious pain is on the tracks and headed our way.  So we should all make it a high priority to learn to hear HIS voice of truth, faith, love, unity and power from our Heavenly Father for our good and eternal life.  Your soul and mine has been created eternal.  Our life time in this temporary dimension of time is for our decision of placement for eternal light or for eternal darkness.

DESTINY     “WORTH CONSIDERING”   10/31/19,   (Across my desk, rather quiet tonight.)

Today’s Scripture
“So I have come down to rescue them…and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land…”(Exodus 3:8)
A Good and Spacious Land

Notice in today’s verse that God did not say He would bring His people into a small land; a little place, tight or crowded. No, receive this into your spirit: Just as God brought the children of Israel into a good and spacious land, so He will do the same for you! He wants to take you to the land of “more than enough,” a land of plenty of room flowing with increase, good breaks and opportunity. He wants you to live in a land where you not only have enough for yourself, but you’re so blessed that you can be a blessing to other people. If you’re not in a good and spacious place today, the challenge is: don’t settle where you are. This is not your permanent address! It’s only temporary. Keep standing, keep believing, keep pressing forward and walk into the good and spacious land God has in store for you!

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for Your goodness and faithfulness in my life. I trust that You are leading me into a new land, a spacious land filled with blessing and opportunity. I choose to stand and keep my eyes on You as You lead me forward in Your purposes in Jesus’ name. Amen.”
My Thoughts:
Many eyes today are focused on the gifts rather than the giver.   They have been taught to give to get.  I came across an old teaching in going through my boxes from our move this week where:
” God said NO !”
I asked God to take away my habit,  HE said, it is not for me to take away, but for you to give it up.
I asked God to grant me patience,  He said, Patience is a byproduct of tribulations that is learned.
I asked God to give me happiness,  HE said, I give blessings for obedience, happiness is up to you.
I asked God to spare me pain,  HE said suffering draws you from the world and closer to ME.
I asked God to enjoy life with things,  HE said,  I have given you life that you might enjoy things.
I asked God to help me learn to love as HE loves,  HE said, finally, now you are getting the idea.

This day is the only today that you will ever have,  don’t waste it.  We only get to keep what we send ahead.

Our Creator, carefully considered your creation before our world was made.  He designed and fashioned and gifted you for a certain purpose in your very short life time of growth and testing.  But it is up to you to knock, seek and ask to find it as only in faith with a loving freewill may it be accomplished.  And when you find your calling, niche, trade,  job it will make you very joyful in this transitory life time and in the eternal world to come.   You are an eternal soul created to be made HOLY and Sanctified to become like Jesus.  You can either go with this vision or you can fight against it.  But if you fight against it you will not like the end results.   Read the little book of Jude next to the Book of The Revelation.  God’s big picture in only one very short chapter.  You are the only one like you there has never been nor will ever be another like you.  You are not a mistake,  you have a calling to fulfill.   God does not make mistakes.  HE is infinite in Love, Power, Knowledge and lives outside of our time dimension.  But has given us an open invitation for us to join HIM in light through Christ Jesus as LORD in HIS dimension.   So what does your destiny look like?

Jude Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

1 Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ (the Messiah), and brother of James, [writes this letter] to those who are called (chosen), dearly loved by God the Father and separated (set apart) and kept for Jesus Christ:

2 May mercy, [soul] peace, and love be multiplied to you.

3 Beloved, my whole concern was to write to you in regard to our common salvation. [But] I found it necessary and was impelled to write you and urgently appeal to and exhort [you] to contend for the faith which was once for all [a]handed down to the saints [the faith which is that sum of Christian belief which was delivered [b]verbally to the holy people of God].    ….   Look it up,  keep on reading.

Next to the last book of the New Testament,  The Book of The Revelation.

Jude was a son of Mary and Joseph and grew up with Jesus…..

This day is the only today that you will ever have,  don’t waste it.  We only get to keep what we send ahead.

Our Creator, carefully considered your creation before our world was made.  He designed and fashioned and gifted you for a certain purpose in your very short life time of growth and testing.  But it is up to you to knock, seek and ask to find it as only in faith with a loving freewill may it be accomplished.  And when you find your calling, niche, trade,  job it will make you very joyful in this transitory life time and in the eternal world to come.   You are an eternal soul created to be made HOLY and Sanctified to become like Jesus.  You can either go with this vision or you can fight against it.  But if you fight against it you will not like the end results.   Read the little book of Jude next to the Book of The Revelation.  God’s big picture in only one very short chapter.  You are the only one like you there has never been nor will ever be another like you.  You are not a mistake,  you have a calling to fulfill.   God does not make mistakes.  HE is infinite in Love, Power, Knowledge and lives outside of our time dimension.  But has given us an open invitation for us to join HIM in light through Christ Jesus as LORD in HIS dimension.   So what does your destiny look like?

BREATH OF LIFE            “WORTH CONSIDERING”     10/30/19   (Across my desk this morning and very good.)

Today’s Scripture
“Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,” says the Lord Almighty.”   (Zechariah 4:6, NIV)
By the Breath of God

In the original Hebrew, the word “spirit” in today’s verse literally means “breath.” This Scripture is saying that the breakthroughs that are coming in our lives are not going to happen just by our talent, our connections or who we know. It’s going to happen because God breathes in our direction. God will shift the winds that blow healing, promotion and restoration our way. How are you going to get well? The medical report may say it’s impossible, but when God breathes on you, health, wholeness and restoration are headed toward you. How are you going to accomplish your dreams? You may not know the right people or have enough money or feel as though you have the talent. No, God is breathing and sending ideas, resources and the right connections your direction. If you will stay faithful and keep honoring and obeying God, suddenly, things will change. Suddenly, you will come into abundance. Suddenly, your child will turn around. Suddenly, you will get well. Suddenly, the breath of God will shift things in every area of your life!

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for breathing in my direction. Thank You for restoring life, peace, health and wholeness to my body and mind. I bless You today and receive the supernatural shifts You have prepared for me in Jesus’ name. Amen.”


My Thoughts:
In Hawaii the term Aloha is used very often as both a greeting and in saying goodbye.  The term Alo means to give and the term ha means breath.  And to give this word to another means:  in whatever you need, I will help you.”  “I give you the breath of my life.”  When I learned this long ago I was amazed at how accurate it was in the creation and redemption of man.   in Genesis it is recorded and lost, “7 Then the Lord God formed man from the [a]dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath or spirit of life, and man became a living being, Gen 2:7.” in the creation.  (adam then lost it.)  And then in Jesus life is restored, “… He (Jesus) showed them His hands and His side. And when the disciples saw the Lord, they were filled with joy (delight, exultation, ecstasy, rapture).21 Then Jesus said to them again, Peace to you! [Just] as the Father has sent Me forth, so I am sending you.22 And having said this, He breathed on them and said to them, Receive the Holy Spirit!    Souls begin to be saved at the upper room at this time and the Church was started at Pentecost.

So here we see a spiritual connection that is rather amazing,  How did the folks in the Pacific Islands find this rather fantastic truth.  In fact I have found much truth in the seeds of the old Hawaiian Culture that go way back to the first migrations that share some amazing Biblical Truths.   Perhaps the children of Noah brought some truth along with them when the came to these islands.  But it is our awareness of Christ Jesus came as the way, truth and life,  THE LORD,   that opens the door to God’s Grace, Blessings and Mana (from the Melanesian and Polynesian peoples)  The Melanesian People were the fist migrations and also perhaps called the menehune.    https://www.wheretraveler.com/kauai/advice/mythical-little-people-hawaii

So Actually Christianity and Old Hawaiian traditions seem to join in this truth.   Of course Our Creative Almighty Heavenly Father is the true source of life, power, grace and mana.   And our Holy Bible is the story of how that power is now available to us in John 17:22, “ I have given to them the glory and honor which You have given Me, that they may be one [even] as We are one.”  And in John 2:11 we see that Glory and Power and Mana, if you will. are all the same.  Therefore if we want to see the Glory and Power of GOD we are going to need to saturate ourselves with the contents of the prayer thoughts of Christ Jesus in John 17 and come into UNITY in GOD’s Loving Truth for the power and breath of GOD to flow through us today.  It only in collective unity that the world will really see Christ Jesus,  Eph. 4:11-16.  Jesus taught that a divided house can not stand.  Today HIS house is basically very divided.

American Pastor Arrested and Detained in India
International Christian Concern (ICC) learned that Pastor Bryan Nerren, a Christian pastor from Tennessee, has been arrested and detained in India after being accused of violating the country’s Foreign Exchange Management Act. According to the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ), Pastor Nerren and two other pastors from Tennessee arrived in India on October 5 to attend two conferences in India and Nepal. The ACLJ reported that Pastor Nerren was then targeted and arrested by Indian customs agents after he told them he was a Christian.

Today’s Scripture

Call Out Seeds of Greatness

Very often, we see potential in other people that they haven’t see in themselves. When you speak vision into them, when you tell them what they can become, you can help set the direction for their life. Your words have the power to push people into their divine destiny. I believe that the reason some people are not living at their full potential is because no one has ever spoken faith into them. No one has taken the time to say, “Hey, you’re great at this. You have a gift here. You’re going to do something amazing!” I believe that one of our assignments in life is to call out the seeds of greatness in other people. Look around at who God has placed in your life. They’re not there by accident. Take time to study them. See what they’re good at. What are their gifts? What do they excel at? Don’t just think about it, speak vision into them. Tell them what they can become. Let your encouragement ignite the greatness on the inside. Help them rise up in confidence so they can be all God has called them to be!

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for the people You’ve placed in my life. I choose to be faithful, to speak life and call forth the greatness in them. Thank You for bringing me to new levels as I help others rise higher, too, in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

My Thoughts:
Actually, it is also very important to know GOD’S will in sharing with souls about their potential future.  Many times I have had to help salvage someone from the effects of being damaged by finding themselves trapped in a job or effort that was totally not their cup of tea in the LORD.  When in ministry with someone concerning speaking into their future the ‘Word of Knowledge”  it must also be verified by more than just a feeling.  The Word of Wisdom needs also be available to validate the faith of the new direction.   Usually, before I say anything about a new direction for a person I ask what do they like to do?   Where in doing things do you find the most pleasure or fulfillment?  Because what God has designed you to do will also be something that give you pleasure and great joy in doing. 

I once had a well known prophet of God pronounce in a large gathering, way back 40 years ago that I was to write a book.  And he publically said that I would not like the title to the book,  “My Apostle To The Islands.”  I did not get any other witnesses and according to Scripture,  “Out of the mouth of 2 or 3 witnesses is a thing confirmed.”  I did not write that book.  It would have been deadly for me had I done so at the time.  It is the fruit that determines the tree.  Jesus taught, “By their fruit, ye shall know them.” and not by their publicity.  In Proverbs there is a verse that gives a balance to all this.  “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Proverbs 18:21″  James also teaches us to be very careful as to what we say as our words can be life or death to some one else: 

5 Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!  6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.  So in giving a personal prophesy be sure to be in the Spirit, use wisdom, be quick to listen and slow to speak. And have a witness.  You don’t want to hurt someone in trying to look spiritual.    James 2:4-6  Of course no teaching on faith is complete without reading the 11th chapter of Hebrews.  Faith is the #1 thing that we are on earth to learn.  We are here to learn how to exercise faith in walking out GOD’s TRUTH in LOVE.  We are here to learn to control our tongue in humility and obedience.  We are here to embrace being found in Christ Jesus as Savior and LORD and becoming like HIM.  “For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 1 Cor. 15:22″   “Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. 1 John 4:17″  We are here to learn to love God more than this world.

MIND GAMES,     “WORTH CONSIDERING”    10/28/19   (Across my desk this morning.)

Today’s Scripture
“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds.”  (2 Corinthians 10:4, NKJV)
Breaking Strongholds

Scripture tells us that there is a battle going on in our minds. Our thoughts dictate our actions. That’s why the enemy will do everything he can to get you thinking in the wrong direction. Sometimes it’s not our own thoughts that are holding us back; sometimes it’s that we’ve believed the negative things that other people have spoken over us. Those words are like seeds. If you dwell on them long enough, they’ll take root and become a reality. In life, there will always be people telling you what cannot be done, speaking negative things. Too often we latch on to those negative words and develop what the Scripture calls a “stronghold.” It’s a wrong thinking pattern that keeps us imprisoned in defeat and keeps us from God’s best. The way you break those negative strongholds is by rejecting the lie and embracing the truth of God’s Word. In other words, you have to choose to delete that negative file in your mind. Today, why don’t you take inventory of your thought life? Ask yourself, “Where did these thoughts come from? Do they line up with what God says about me?” Break the negative strongholds and embrace God’s truth so you can be all that God has called you to be!

A Prayer for Today
“Father, today I choose to reject negative thoughts. I choose to reject lies from the past. I break every stronghold through the power of Your Word and embrace Your truth which sets me free in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

My Thoughts:
Wow!!!!  Could not say it better….  This is a big factor in my life and all of our lives.  Being able to weed out the fear, unbelief, hate from the past and the junk pile of negative thoughts that trap us into making further negative decisions.  What God says about us is true and anything contrary is a lie of the enemy.   A formidable question to ask ourselves in making a decision:  Is it for the Kingdom of God or is it to make me look better for other people?   Would Jesus do this or buy this.   Is GOD’s Truth and Love really in this decision?   And we must take care to very gently wrap GOD’s HOLY TRUTH in HIS GREAT LOVE….Otherwise even truth can damage folks very easily.  You don’t use a butcher knife or a meat cleaver in a heart transplant.  God design and plan is to replace our Adamic heart with HIS original pure heart of LOVE and TRUTH.  “If any person be in Christ, they are a new creation,  old things are passed away and all things become new.  2 Cor.5:17.”.  So the Word of God through the Holy Spirit helps us filter out the flesh to make room for the Holy Spirit.  As I am driving along I often listen to the Word of God in my truck on the CD player…  And in that space it is amazing how much loving truth comes to the surface from the Scriptures that is so fresh that is seems like it was written to me only yesterday.   But then with family I tend to get shredded just like Jesus taught us so that I don’t go into orbit.  This teaching is recorded 5 times in the New Testament. 

“But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.  36 And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.   37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.” Matt.10.38-37.

So the family usually has the least amount of faith for a prophet or someone anointed of God.   The family often sees what yet needs to be changed and not what has already been changed,  that is just the carnal nature of things.  Even Jesus had difficult with HIS home town of Nazareth.  “5 And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.6 And he marveled because of their unbelief. Mark 6:5-7.   So even Christ Jesus was limited by the unbelief of those in HIS home town.  Without faith, very little can be accomplished.  That is why John Bunyan had Pilgrim leave home to find the Celestial City.   And to be followers of the way we also may need to make our family the family of faith as Christ Jesus did.  Matt. 12:49  ” 49 And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!  50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.”  So a constant bombardment of negative thought from inside or outside makes it very difficult to walk in God’s kind of Heb. 11 faith.  And the enemy knows this and his attacks are constant and usually from those who we love the most.  This is due to the fact that we choose to not filter out destructive thoughts when we think them or before we say them.  To really help someone first there needs to be prayer for wisdom and knowledge and then to love the person with God’s love abundantly regardless of the smell or looks or degradation.  You can not help a person that you put under your own frustration and negative judgement to change or else or to destroy.  Loving Unity does not work that way and to bring us into a loving unity is always God’s way,  John 17.

PROMISES

PROMISES,      “WORTH CONSIDERING”     10/25/19    (Across my desk this morning.)

Today’s Scripture
“For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.” (2 Cor. 1:20, NKJV)
Yes and Amen

Have you thought about the fact that God has already said “yes” to His promises in your life? You don’t have to beg God to be good to you. You don’t have to plead with Him to help you. God wants to help you. He wants to pour out His abundant blessing on your life. The Scripture says His promises are “yes and amen.” “Amen” means “so be it.” In other words, it’s a done deal. All you have to do is make sure you are living up to your end of the bargain. God’s love is unconditional, but we have to obey His commands in order to see His promises come to pass. For example, Malachi 3:10 says that we have to bring our tithe to Him in order to see the windows of heaven open. It says in Deuteronomy 5 that we are to honor our parents in order to live a long life. The good news is that when we surrender our hearts to Him, He empowers us to fulfill every one of His commands. He equips us for every good work because He wants to see us live a blessed life. That’s why His promises are “yes and amen”!

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for Your goodness and faithfulness in my life. I believe that You have a good plan to pour out Your blessing and favor on me. Give me strength to obey Your commands and honor You all the days of my life in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

My Thoughts:
Actually I am in a bit of conflict with this mornings incomming in some places.   As far as Blessings and Obedience to GOD’s commandments that is ABSOLUTELY True.  Blessings come through humility and obedience on our part out of love for Christ Jesus as our Savior.  But many things in the Old Testament under the LAW can not be applied to the New Testament Church.  Tithing of 10% has been replaced with 100% walking in the Holy Spirit. 2 Cor.9:7.    The day of rest (Sabbath) has also been replace by learning to walk in the peace of GOD through the Holy Spirit,  Heb.4.    A sacrifice is no longer required as it has already been made in Christ Jesus once forever. Heb. 9:26. Honor of parents was confirmed by our LORD so is still effective.  So we do need to take care that the traditions of men do not make the Word of God, ineffective.  Christians are now totally subject to the New Will (New Testament) of Christ Jesus as LORD.  His death made HIS Will to be totally effective.

And for sure our believing in the Great and Precious PROMISES of God is where our Victory is found.   Our faith in HIS Promises in spite of what we think, see or feel of this world gives us HIS VICTORY….  Therefore, since these [great] promises are ours, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that contaminates and defiles body and spirit, and bring [our] consecration to completeness in the [reverential] fear of God, 2 Cor.7:1    By means of these He has bestowed on us His precious and exceedingly great promises, so that through them you may escape [by flight] from the moral decay (rottenness and corruption) that is in the world because of covetousness (lust and greed), and become sharers (partakers) of the divine nature, 1 Pet.1:4.   If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just (true to His own nature and promises) and will forgive our sins [dismiss our lawlessness] and [continuously] cleanse us from all unrighteousness [everything not in conformity to His will in purpose, thought, and action], 1 John 1:9  AMPC
