MIND GAMES

ALOHA FAMILY & FRIENDS,  Beloved of God,   John 3:16-18

MIND GAMES,     “WORTH CONSIDERING”    10/28/19   (Across my desk this morning.)

Today’s Scripture
“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds.”  (2 Corinthians 10:4, NKJV)
Breaking Strongholds

Scripture tells us that there is a battle going on in our minds. Our thoughts dictate our actions. That’s why the enemy will do everything he can to get you thinking in the wrong direction. Sometimes it’s not our own thoughts that are holding us back; sometimes it’s that we’ve believed the negative things that other people have spoken over us. Those words are like seeds. If you dwell on them long enough, they’ll take root and become a reality. In life, there will always be people telling you what cannot be done, speaking negative things. Too often we latch on to those negative words and develop what the Scripture calls a “stronghold.” It’s a wrong thinking pattern that keeps us imprisoned in defeat and keeps us from God’s best. The way you break those negative strongholds is by rejecting the lie and embracing the truth of God’s Word. In other words, you have to choose to delete that negative file in your mind. Today, why don’t you take inventory of your thought life? Ask yourself, “Where did these thoughts come from? Do they line up with what God says about me?” Break the negative strongholds and embrace God’s truth so you can be all that God has called you to be!

A Prayer for Today
“Father, today I choose to reject negative thoughts. I choose to reject lies from the past. I break every stronghold through the power of Your Word and embrace Your truth which sets me free in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

My Thoughts:
Wow!!!!  Could not say it better….  This is a big factor in my life and all of our lives.  Being able to weed out the fear, unbelief, hate from the past and the junk pile of negative thoughts that trap us into making further negative decisions.  What God says about us is true and anything contrary is a lie of the enemy.   A formidable question to ask ourselves in making a decision:  Is it for the Kingdom of God or is it to make me look better for other people?   Would Jesus do this or buy this.   Is GOD’s Truth and Love really in this decision?   And we must take care to very gently wrap GOD’s HOLY TRUTH in HIS GREAT LOVE….Otherwise even truth can damage folks very easily.  You don’t use a butcher knife or a meat cleaver in a heart transplant.  God design and plan is to replace our Adamic heart with HIS original pure heart of LOVE and TRUTH.  “If any person be in Christ, they are a new creation,  old things are passed away and all things become new.  2 Cor.5:17.”.  So the Word of God through the Holy Spirit helps us filter out the flesh to make room for the Holy Spirit.  As I am driving along I often listen to the Word of God in my truck on the CD player…  And in that space it is amazing how much loving truth comes to the surface from the Scriptures that is so fresh that is seems like it was written to me only yesterday.   But then with family I tend to get shredded just like Jesus taught us so that I don’t go into orbit.  This teaching is recorded 5 times in the New Testament.

But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.  36 And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.   37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.” Matt.10.38-37.

So the family usually has the least amount of faith for a prophet or someone anointed of God.   The family often sees what yet needs to be changed and not what has already been changed,  that is just the carnal nature of things.  Even Jesus had difficult with HIS home town of Nazareth.  And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them. And he marveled because of their unbelief. Mark 6:5-7.   So even Christ Jesus was limited by the unbelief of those in HIS home town.  Without faith, very little can be accomplished.  That is why John Bunyan had Pilgrim leave home to find the Celestial City.   And to be followers of the way we also may need to make our family the family of faith as Christ Jesus did.  Matt. 12:49  ” 49 And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!  50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.”  So a constant bombardment of negative thought from inside or outside makes it very difficult to walk in God’s kind of Heb. 11 faith.  And the enemy knows this and his attacks are constant and usually from those who we love the most.  This is due to the fact that we choose to not filter out destructive thoughts when we think them or before we say them.  To really help someone first there needs to be prayer for wisdom and knowledge and then to love the person with God’s love abundantly regardless of the smell or looks or degradation.  You can not help a person that you put under your own frustration and negative judgement to change or else or to destroy.  Loving Unity does not work that way and to bring us into a loving unity is always God’s way,  John 17.

PROMISES

ALOHA FAMILY & FRIENDS,   Beloved of our Great Creator God,   John 3:16-18,   12:24-26,   17:21-26

PROMISES,      “WORTH CONSIDERING”
10/25/19    (Across my desk this morning.)

Today’s Scripture
“For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.” (2 Cor. 1:20, NKJV)
Yes and Amen

Have you thought about the fact that God has already said “yes” to His promises in your life? You don’t have to beg God to be good to you. You don’t have to plead with Him to help you. God wants to help you. He wants to pour out His abundant blessing on your life. The Scripture says His promises are “yes and amen.” “Amen” means “so be it.” In other words, it’s a done deal. All you have to do is make sure you are living up to your end of the bargain. God’s love is unconditional, but we have to obey His commands in order to see His promises come to pass. For example, Malachi 3:10 says that we have to bring our tithe to Him in order to see the windows of heaven open. It says in Deuteronomy 5 that we are to honor our parents in order to live a long life. The good news is that when we surrender our hearts to Him, He empowers us to fulfill every one of His commands. He equips us for every good work because He wants to see us live a blessed life. That’s why His promises are “yes and amen”!

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for Your goodness and faithfulness in my life. I believe that You have a good plan to pour out Your blessing and favor on me. Give me strength to obey Your commands and honor You all the days of my life in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

My Thoughts:
Actually I am in a bit of conflict with this mornings incomming in some places.   As far as Blessings and Obedience to GOD’s commandments that is ABSOLUTELY True.  Blessings come through humility and obedience on our part out of love for Christ Jesus as our Savior.  But many things in the Old Testament under the LAW can not be applied to the New Testament Church.  Tithing of 10% has been replaced with 100% walking in the Holy Spirit. 2 Cor.9:7.    The day of rest (Sabbath) has also been replace by learning to walk in the peace of GOD through the Holy Spirit,  Heb.4.    A sacrifice is no longer required as it has already been made in Christ Jesus once forever. Heb. 9:26. Honor of parents was confirmed by our LORD so is still effective.  So we do need to take care that the traditions of men do not make the Word of God, ineffective.  Christians are now totally subject to the New Will (New Testament) of Christ Jesus as LORD.  His death made HIS Will to be totally effective.

And for sure our believing in the Great and Precious PROMISES of God is where our Victory is found.   Our faith in HIS Promises in spite of what we think, see or feel of this world gives us HIS VICTORY….  Therefore, since these [great] promises are ours, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that contaminates and defiles body and spirit, and bring [our] consecration to completeness in the [reverential] fear of God, 2 Cor.7:1    By means of these He has bestowed on us His precious and exceedingly great promises, so that through them you may escape [by flight] from the moral decay (rottenness and corruption) that is in the world because of covetousness (lust and greed), and become sharers (partakers) of the divine nature, 1 Pet.1:4.   If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just (true to His own nature and promises) and will forgive our sins [dismiss our lawlessness] and [continuously] cleanse us from all unrighteousness [everything not in conformity to His will in purpose, thought, and action], 1 John 1:9  AMPC

BOLD FAITH

ALOHA FAMILY & FRIENDS.   Blessed of the LORD,   John 3:16-18

BOLD FAITH       “WORTH CONSIDERING”    10/24/19   (Across my folder this morning.)

Today’s Scripture
“The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion.”   (Proverbs 28:1, NKJV)
Bold As A Lion

We are called to live bold, confident and overcoming lives. You don’t have to live under a burden of fear. You don’t have to live with anxiety. Because of Jesus, fear, worry and uncertainty are beneath you. When you rise up in faith, knowing that God is with you and for you, all doubt and fear have to leave your life. Notice that today’s Scripture says that the righteous are as bold as a lion. Righteousness is God’s way of doing things. When you do things according to what He says in His Word, when you are submitted to His plan for your life, He promises success. It may not always be the way you had in mind, but ultimately, His plan is to prosper you, not to harm you, to give you a hope and a future! Today, if you’ve been feeling anxious or fearful, begin to declare God’s truth over your life that will set you free! Declare that you are righteous in Christ Jesus! Declare that you are more than a conqueror! Declare that you are as bold as a lion because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world!

A Prayer for Today

“Father, thank You for setting me free from a spirit of fear. Thank You for filling me with strength and boldness. I set aside thoughts of worry and dread and thank You for Your peace as I keep my mind fixed on You in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

My Thoughts:
The key issue or problem with most of us in having REAL or BOLD FAITH is that we, in some way or another have been caught up in the lies and the cares of this world and have become double minded or hypocritical.  In some way or another we still have our hands in the cookie jar while the cook is out of the kitchen.  Late the other night I think my wife’s grandson left the ice cream in the microwave and told my wife it was me….. after all, I am 87, what can I remember????  What white lies we are use to telling…..
It is difficult to push a big heavy door open if you are standing on an ice covered porch.  Of course if there is any fear at all,  fear is faith going backwards.  So the price for faith prayer victories in the LORD is to be standing on Holy Ground with no ice or fear under our feet.   This concept of Truth is  totally supported by Jesus, James and Jude and the New Testament:

“5 And the prayer [that is] of faith will save him who is sick, and the Lord will restore him; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.16 Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart]. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].17 Elijah was a human being with a nature such as we have [with feelings, affections, and a constitution like ours]; and he prayed earnestly for it not to rain, and no rain fell on the earth for three years and six months.  James 5:15-17.”  AMPC  also:

James 4:2-4 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)     You are jealous and covet [what others have] and your desires go unfulfilled; [so] you become murderers. [To hate is to murder as far as your hearts are concerned.] You burn with envy and anger and are not able to obtain [the gratification, the contentment, and the happiness that you seek], so you fight and war. You do not have, because you do not ask.  3 [Or] you do ask [God for them] and yet fail to receive, because you ask with wrong purpose and evil, selfish motives. Your intention is [when you get what you desire] to spend it in sensual pleasures.  You [are like] unfaithful wives [having illicit love affairs with the world and breaking your marriage vow to God]! Do you not know that being the world’s friend is being God’s enemy? So whoever chooses to be a friend of the world takes his stand as an enemy of God.  Jude also reads about the same way. and guess what:   James and Jude were children of Mary and Joseph and grew up with Jesus.

I was originally taught that we are Sanctified by faith and that our standing is perfect in Christ but our state is in walking through a muddy world.  Actually that is not true.  Holy is Holy as HE is HOLY.  Better re-read your New Testament as God’s plan for us, if we will allow for it, is to make us like Jesus in HIS IMAGE and LIKENESS.  It is faith and HIS grace that makes it possible but we must want it with all of our heart to have it happen.

REJOICE / PROMISES

ALOHA FAMILY & FRIENDS,  Beloved of God,  John 3:16-18,  12:24-26,   17:20-26

REJOICE/PROMISES,    “WORTH CONSIDERING”
10/23/19,   (Across my desk this morning.)

Today’s Scripture
“Rejoice with those who rejoice…”   (Romans 12:15, NKJV)
Celebrate Others

When a friend or family member succeeds, gets promoted or experiences an unexpected good break in life, how do you respond? Some people wonder, “What about me?” Others criticize or say, “It won’t last long.” But really, the way you respond to another person’s success will determine the level of your own success. Whether you respond in a negative or positive way, you are sowing seeds for your future. That’s why the Scripture tells us simply to “rejoice with those who rejoice.” God wants you to be successful. His commands are for your good. He doesn’t want jealousy or strife to enter your life and rob you of His blessing. Today, make it a point to find someone who is celebrating and celebrate with them. Congratulate them on their success no matter how small it seems in the natural. Rejoice with those who rejoice, sow seeds of blessing, and open the door for victory in your own life in return!

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for Your hand of blessing not only on my life but on the lives of the people around me. I choose to rejoice in You, and I choose to rejoice over Your victory everywhere I go in Jesus’ name! Amen!”

My Comments:
Today in my mail a really great letter from missionaries on the field also told of an out of the blue shooting where a young Cristian wife/mother was killed as she exited her car in front of her home.  Of course, family and friends went into deep morning and pain over the murder.   But I read it,  I said to myself,  way to go.   She went home to be with the LORD in faith,  Her time of testing is over, she has graduated into the eterma; loving place of GOD’s presence.   Of course I am not going to run out and try to get shot.   And her family will go through the process of grieving.  But as Christians we should all read Fox’s “Book of Martyrs” and get the Long View (Eternal View) of things as they really are and rejoice on the basis of the Promises of God.   The Real Word is what GOD says that it is,  it is not the temporary time world that we now live in for our time of testing.  So her time of testing is over.  But how about ours?   Can we Rejoice only through our own eyes or can we rejoice through faith in the wonderful promises of God?  I often think that I am 87 now just because I needed more time in order to graduate.

For His divine power has bestowed upon us all things that [are requisite and suited] to life and godliness, through the [[a]full, personal] knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and excellence (virtue).  By means of these He has bestowed on us His precious and exceedingly great promises, so that through them you may escape [by flight] from the moral decay (rottenness and corruption) that is in the world because of covetousness (lust and greed), and become sharers (partakers) of the divine nature.  For this very reason, [b]adding your diligence [to the divine promises], employ every effort in [c]exercising your faith to develop virtue (excellence, resolution, Christian energy), and in [exercising] virtue [develop] knowledge (intelligence),  And in [exercising] knowledge [develop] self-control, and in [exercising] self-control [develop] steadfastness (patience, endurance), and in [exercising] steadfastness [develop] godliness (piety),  And in [exercising] godliness [develop] brotherly affection, and in [exercising] brotherly affection [develop] Christian love.  2 Peter 1: 3-7  AMPC

And my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, Luke 1:47,   So for the present you are also in sorrow (in distress and depressed); but I will see you again and [then] your hearts will rejoice, and no one can take from you your joy (gladness, delight). John 16:22,  Rejoice in the Lord always [delight, gladden yourselves in Him]; again I say, Rejoice! Phil.4:4.  But insofar as you are sharing Christ’s sufferings, rejoice, so that when His glory [full of radiance and splendor] is revealed, you may also rejoice with triumph [exultantly].  1 Pet. 4:13.  Let us rejoice and shout for joy [exulting and triumphant]! Let us celebrate and ascribe to Him glory and honor, for the marriage of the Lamb [at last] has come, and His bride has prepared herself.  Rev.19:7

THE REFRESHING

ALOHA FAMILY & FRIENDS,  Beloved in Christ Jesus,  John 3:16-18

THE REFRESHING,     “WORTH CONSIDERING”    10/22/19   (Across my desk this morning.)

Today’s Scripture
“When they walk through the Valley of Weeping, it will become a place of refreshing springs. The autumn rains will clothe it with blessings…”  (Psalm 84:6, NLT)
Be Transformed

Do you feel like you are walking through a tough place in your life today? The psalmist wrote of “passing through the Valley of Weeping,” but not of “settling in the Valley of Weeping,” or “getting stuck in the Valley,” or “building a house in the Valley.” The Valley is temporary; you’re walking through it, and God is walking with you. He wants to strengthen and empower you to keep moving forward. He is leading you to a place of blessing and refreshing!

Be encouraged today that God always causes us to triumph! The Bible says that weeping may endure for the night, but joy comes in the morning! It also says that the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn shining brighter until the full day. No matter how dark your circumstance may seem, you are on a path that is shining brighter and brighter. Know today that there is a place of victory on the other side of your challenge. Keep believing and keep expecting. As you continue to meditate on the goodness of God and declare His favor in your life, you will be strengthened and refreshed in your inner man. You will rise higher and higher, and you will live the life of victory the Lord has in store for you!

A Prayer for Today
“Father in heaven, thank You for leading me to my place of blessing. I trust that You are faithful and believe that You have a good plan for my life. Help me to always hear Your voice so I can follow You all the days of my life.”

My Thoughts:
We have all heard the adage that there is no fool like and old fool.  Well,   I am finding as I am getting rather old now at 87 that I am learning to laugh at many of the temptations that use to dump me.  It seems that the lies of the lust of the flesh, eyes and pride of life are becoming such obvious lies that I nearly say out loud,  “Oh, it you again.  I am 87 now and that thought is dumber than a rock.  It is now a chore to get to the mailbox or drive 20 miles to town, devil, you are nuts.”  As I get older the array of temptations are now more easily seen for what they are,  a waste of time.  Time that could be invested in the soon coming of the Kingdom of Christ Jesus.  Time that I can send ahead even in this blog to family and friends.   I know that many are too polite to tell me to turn it off but then some read it from time to time and at least one brother has made a big book already of this blog.  So I see it as a good investment of my time in seeking to help others to join with me in having victory in this life over the world, flesh and the devil.  A hundred years from now in eternity, what is going to matter?  What will be the best investment of time.  If you really really believe you are headed for living with your Creator God in Heaven your life will totally reflect that direction of faith.  If your time is focused in the worldly creature comforts of this world perhaps you have been deceived.   Perhaps you are a hypocrite,  and actor?  Christ Jesus was very clear,  read this scripture with real determination for truth and light if you want to know where you are.

24 I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, Unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains [just one grain; it never becomes more but lives] by itself alone. But if it dies, it produces many others and yields a rich harvest.  25 Anyone who loves his life loses it, but anyone who hates his life in this world will keep it to life eternal. [Whoever has no love for, no concern for, no regard for his life here on earth, but despises it, preserves his life forever and ever.]  26 If anyone serves Me, he must continue to follow Me [[a]to cleave steadfastly to Me, conform wholly to My example in living and, if need be, in dying] and wherever I am, there will My servant be also. If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.  John 12  AMPC

The New Testament if full of this kind of teaching,  do you really believe it???  If so , your life will exhibit that fact as above in the way you are now living your daily life.

COMMANDMENTS

ALOHA FAMILY & FRIENDS,  Beloved of God,  John 3:16

COMMANDMENTS,     “WORTH CONSIDERING”    10/21/19   (Across my desk this morning.)

Today’s Scripture
“If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands…you will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country…”
(Deuteronomy 28:1-3, NIV)
Blessed Wherever You Go

Do you want to experience more of God’s blessing in your life? Living in obedience and integrity is the key that unlocks the door to His abundance. When you put God first place in your life, you’ll be blessed in the city and in the country—you’ll be blessed wherever you go! Deuteronomy 28 goes on to say that you will be so blessed that you will lend and not borrow. Can you see yourself in that position? Can you see yourself living in that kind of abundance? God doesn’t want you to be living with a barely-get-by attitude. We don’t serve a barely-get-by God; our God is more than enough! He wants you to have more than enough to meet your needs and be a blessing to the people around you. Today, make room in your life for the blessing of God. Choose to live in obedience to His Word and be blessed wherever you go!

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for Your hand of blessing on my life. I choose today to put You first in everything I do. Help me to walk in integrity and follow Your commands so that I can honor You always. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.”

My Thoughts:
John 4:23-24 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”  “But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:”  Eph.4:15

TRUTH?  So lets look at that:  Jesus said,  “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6.   So the question is, do we really believe that to be the TRUTH?  Are we really trying to find HIS TRUTH and walk it out?   Or do we have HIS room for HIS TRUTH and our room for our truth?  The Jews totally missed out as they exchanged their vain traditions for God’s Truth.   They looked the part but Jesus said they were full of dead men’s bones.  Matt.23:27.    And there are so many who call themselves Christian today but have no concern or love for the lost souls around them and concerns for this life only.  The little letters of John are especially packed full of GOD’S TRUTH.  If interested in God’s Truth meditate on these little letters in your search for God’s Truth or commandments.  And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.” 1 John 3:23-24.

We live in a world of lying illusions where we are carefully programmed that in order to be happy we must have things or security.  But Jesus teaches: And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.”  Luke 12:15”   “For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.”Luke 9:24     In Hebrews we find this:  Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. Heb.13:2  In the past year,  how many total strangers have you fed and entertained seeking to help them know the Good News of salvation or to find out if they were a messenger (angel) from God?  Or how about this one?  23 Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;  24 Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.  25 Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.” Matt. 5:23-25.

And after considering the little letters of John do the same with James and Jude…  and make notes of the commandments to consider and to implement if serious about being a Christian. Yes, Salvation is truly and totally by faith in the finished work of Christ Jesus.  But if actions do not accommodate that faith in Christ Jesus as LORD then James teaches that that kind of faith is “dead” or worthless.

Hawaiian Missionaries

Death of King  Kamehameha     https://trinity-aloha.org/history/history-of-hawaii/

Nov. 1819, King Kamehameha died five months before the missionaries arrived and they had no knowledge of his death before their departure. In less than 6 months after his death, and as the missionaries were at sea, the Kapu system had been dissolved, and a civil war had taken place. Only the creator of the universe, Jehovah, could have known of these timely events. In the midst of this chaos, the stage is set for the entrance of the missionaries with the Gospel of Jesus Christ in peace, tranquility, truth and Aloha.

“I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them. Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof. Let the wilderness and the cities thereof lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar doth inhabit: let the inhabitants of the rock sing, let them shout from the top of the mountains. Let them give glory unto the Lord, and declare his praise in the islands.” Isaiah 42:8‑12

After the death of Kamehameha I, in November of 1819 and before the arrival of Christian missionaries, doubts about the ancient religion led to its abandonment by the regent, Ka’ahumanu, and Liholiho (Kamehameha II). Traditionalists rallied to Kekuakalani, custodian of the war god. Here, in the Battle of Kuamo’o they were defeated by the Monarchy troops led be the premier, Kalanimoku, and the old religion died in a blaze of musket fire. Both sides had firearms, and more than 300 were killed, including Kekuaokalani and his wife Manono. The dead were interred in the rock cairns visible on this lava field in the Lekeleke Burial Grounds at Kuamo’o Bay at Keauhou.  The kapu system was finally destroyed by the Hawaiian Monarchy and the priests & kahunas were overthrown, killed or dispersed, temples were demolished and the kapu’s shattered. This was the end result of the bondage and pain caused by the kapu system and the privileged treatment that was demanded by the kahunas. This action resulted in both peace and a great spiritual vacuum for the Hawaiians as a people.

3/30/1820 The ship Thaddeus arrived with Congregational Missionaries to Hawaii. And began to teach the people against the orgies, opium dens, soliciting of native women and other forms of vice. The missionaries were not versed in Hawaiian customs but they did know about the serious problems concerning the STD’s of their days and tried to, unsuccessfully, help the Hawaiian people avoid this great scourge. The Hawaiian people who remained after the great plagues of death through that century owe their lives to the 1820 missionaries. These missionaries came by invitation of Henry Opuakahaia of 1809 and the Hawaiian Alii. The Hawaiian people had heard about the “Torch of Life” of Jesus Christ and were searching for a new spiritual ethos. So as the Christian faith came in 1820  thousands were taught “The Way” and found peace in the Christian faith

It was obvious to the missionaries that God had prepared the way for Hawaii. The great Hawaiian miracle had taken place and all of the obstacles that could have prevented the Gospel from being preached had been removed. Even Hewahewa the highest kahuna (priest) and direct descendant of Paau, the original Kahuna from Tahiti, was the first to set fire to a heiau (temple). He declared: “I knew the wooden images of deities, carved by our own hands, could not supply our wants, but worshiped them because it was a custom of our fathers. My thoughts has always been, there is only one great God, dwelling in the heavens.” Hewahewa also prophesied that a new God was coming and he went to Kawaihae to wait for the new God, at the very spot were the missionaries first landed.  Psalms 2: 6-8    Yet have I set My king upon my holy hill of Zion.  7 I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.  8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.   “The Life of the Land is Perpetuated in Righteousness.”

The Return of the King

Very Important Last days Prophesy:

ALOHA FAMILY & FRIENDS,

ALOHA FAMILY & FRIENDS,   (Return of the King.)   10/19/19

Seems like things in the world are now quickly lining up as per the prophecies  of Christ Jesus:  Matt. 24,  Mark 13 and Luke 21  for the end of this age called, “The end of the age of the Gentiles.”

It seems in scripture that the Creation of this World was made for the purpose of giving our eternal souls an opportunity to choose HIS light in obedience or not.   Our dimension of time is really temporary and will eventually cease to exist.   What will be left will the the Kingdom of God in Light on one side.   And on the other,  as Jude 13, calls it,  “The blackness of darkness for ever.”  You should read the little book of Jude to get the full picture of what is going on.

So along with every thing else we need to prep for some tough times ahead.   My list is something like this:   Clean Water,  Food,  Health Needs,  Power,  Security  & Stuff to barter.  If you live in a big city, that is where suffering will be the most.  An EMP could destroy every computer chip so will not be able to depend on anything made with a computer chip unless we have a back up chips protected in a Faraday Cage.

If you have an area that could grow food then you will need the tools and seeds ahead and enough food to last for at least 6 month’s.   If you have a solar system to run a dehydrator you can get water from the air.

If you are interested in this,  write me and let me know.   I would be happy to share with you what we are up to and my paper on the Return of The King.  ken@trinity-aloha.org

These are not things we really want to consider now it is easy to simply go to the store.  But Biblically we have been warned and so the rest is up to us.

Yours, in HIS great love and wonderful Grace and Mercy,   Ken<><

CHANGE

ALOHA FAMILY AND FRIENDS,  Beloved of God,   John 3:16-18

CHANGE,     “WORTH CONSIDERING”   10/18/19   (Across my desk this morning and very important.)

Today’s Scripture
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will…”
(Romans 12:2, NIV)
Be Transformed

In the original Bible language, the word “transform” is “metamorpho.” It’s where we get our word “metamorphose.” When a caterpillar changes from a little worm-like larva into a beautiful butterfly, it is called metamorphosis. The caterpillar starts out as possibly one of the most unattractive insects. It’s very plain, nothing special about it. But God destined the caterpillar to go through a transformation. It goes from being one of the most ordinary creatures to one of the most beautiful, colorful and graceful. Instead of having to crawl on the ground, it can now fly to wherever it wants to go.

Paul is saying that if you’ll get your thoughts going in the right direction and not dwell on negative, condemning, “not able to” thoughts, and program your mind with what God says about you, then a transformation will take place. The only way to release your butterfly is to get your thinking in line with God’s Word. If you will keep renewing your mind and agreeing with what God says about you, it’s just a matter of time before that transformed person comes out. When your thoughts are better, your life will be better.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for the work You are doing in my life. I surrender every part of my being to You. Thank You for transforming me as I keep my heart and mind stayed on You in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

My Thoughts:
Our Creator God has given us a free will to choose HIS light or remain in the darkness.  Your soul is eternal.  If you really want to be with the light and with your Creator for eternity, you will have to change.  Hope to see you tonight for HouseChurch.   Be Blessed in your day,  Ken<><   www.Trinity-Aloha.org

GREAT QUOTES on DISCERNMENT

"To discern spirits we must dwell with Him who is holy, and He will give the revelation and unveil the mask of Satanic power on all lines." - Smith Wigglesworth "Discernment is not a matter of simply telling the difference between right and wrong; rather it is telling the difference between right and almost right." - Charles Spurgeon "Know your HOLY GOD intimately. (When you have seen His glory, His holiness and His love - by drawing close to Him in prayer - then you can usually see through any counterfeits because you know the "real thing" so well)." - Andrew Strom "With discernment comes division. A person who seeks to be discerning must be willing to suffer the effects of this division. It will divide not only believer from unbeliever, but it may even divide a discerning believer from one who is undiscerning. It will separate the mature from the immature, the naïve from the prudent." - Tim Challies "The man who thinks he can know the Word of God by mere intellectual study is greatly deceived. Spiritual truth is spiritually discerned." - Samuel Chadwick "Many may boast in the depth of their Bible knowledge and in the excellency of their theological tenets, but those with spiritual discernment are aware that it is dead." - Watchman Nee "Instead of REPENTANCE, people are getting all kinds of counterfeit spiritual experiences. There seems to be almost no discernment at all." - Andrew Strom "A tender conscience is an inestimable blessing; that is, a conscience not only quick to discern what is evil, but instantly to shun it as the eyelid closes itself against the mote." - Assorted Authors "The first point of wisdom is to discern that which is false; the second, to know that which is true." - Assorted Authors "Let us, then, cultivate an attitude of courage as over against the investigations of the day. None should be more zealous in them than we. None should be more quick to discern truth in every field, more hospitable to receive it, more loyal to follow it wherever it leads." - B.B. Warfield

YOUR WORDS

ALOHA FAMILY & FRIENDS,  Beloved of God,   John 3:16-18

YOUR WORDS,        “WORTH CONSIDERING”    10/17/19  (Across my desk this morning.)

Today’s Scripture
“Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be…”
(James 3:10, NIV)
Are You in the Business of Blessing?

The Scripture encourages us to use our words to bless people. “To bless” means to speak well of, to pronounce favor, and to declare good things. People in your life need to receive your blessing, especially your spouse and children. Are you giving your children the blessings of love, affection and encouragement? Are you speaking words that build them up and bless their future?

You may not have received this approval from your own parents. Perhaps there wasn’t a lot of love in your home. Perhaps your mom or dad always talked down to you. Let us challenge you to be the one to break the stronghold over your family. Decide today that you are going to stop talking down to others. Choose instead to encourage others. Stop focusing on what others are doing wrong and start thanking them for what they are doing right. Begin right now to bless others’ futures. Your decision to be a positive influence will have a greater impact on your family than you could ever imagine. It will affect generations to come. Speak these blessings over your family, your children, and those whom you love and care for. If you will bless others, God will certainly bless your own life beyond what you ever hoped or dreamed.

A Prayer for Today
“God, I want to use my words to bless, encourage, and lift others up. Help me to start today, in my own home, to purposefully use what I say to bless my friends and family. Give me uplifting words to say and the discipline to keep negative criticisms to myself. In Jesus’ name – Amen”

My Thoughts,
We grow up today in a culture that finds great humor in demeaning some one.  Putting some one down.  There is even a show on TV where they “ROAST” someone and call it good humor.  In my family, as the only child,  I can not remember one time where my parents were not fighting and roasting each other.  Can not remember a hug or word of encouragement.   It has been really difficult for me and for many to try to change in Christ Jesus,  we lean heavily on God’ grace.  James teaches us that our tongue is the most difficult member of our body to control.  Many many scriptures in the New Testament concerning the power of words.

And in the Old Testament there is a powerful statement that Life and Death are in the power of the tongue.  Prov. 18:21

Moses tells us in Deut. 30:19,   I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:”

Scriptures to prayerfully consider:
But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.  Matt.12:36.  But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost. Mark 13:11.      Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.  John 3:11.    Jesus said,  “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life, John 6:63.”    “Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, (love) I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal, 1 Cor. 13:1.”     “I would that ye all spake with tongues but rather (especially) that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying, ! Cor. 14:5.”   “But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ,  Eph.4:15.”     ” Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice, Eph.4:31.”     Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;  2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;  Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth,  Eph.4:1-3.” But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine: Titus 2:1.”   “And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him,  Heb. 12:5.”    ” See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven, Heb.12:25.”    “Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath,  James 1:19.”  “Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings, 1 Pet.2-1.”    “Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation, 1 Pet.2:12.”    “If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. 1 Pet 4:11.”  15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men’s persons in admiration because of advantage.17 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.  Jude 15-21.”

This is a very short version of Biblical references concerning the power of words.

Yours, in HIS GREAT LOVE and watch what you say….  Ken<><   (Past blogs may be found at “Worth Considering” on our home page:  www.Trinity-Aloha.org

(I have an idea (mine or HIS ???) about evangelizing Muslims:    Take a little 3″ x 5″ book, color it green with Muslim art work on it and inside quote the Biblical compatible truth verses concerning Abraham, Moses, Mary, Joseph and Jesus in Farsi from the Qur’an and then add in Farsi and ???, the Gospel of John tucked in the back as the Story of Jesus by John, the beloved.  No numbers,  just normal chapter headings.    These could even be ballooned into a country if they caught on.   In the Qur’an it states clearly that a Prophet can not lie and it lists Jesus as a Prophet as one who can not lie.  What a heart banger that would be for a Muslim.)   Be Blessed in your day,   Ken<><   Ken@Trinity-Aloha.org  ????
