PRAYER ANSWERS,   “WORTH CONSIDERING”  11/26/19  (On my desk this morning.)

Today’s Scripture
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me…”   (Philippians 4:13, NKJV)
Go Further, Dream Bigger

Today, I want to remind you of what God says about you. No matter what’s happening in your life, remember that you are not limited by your resources, your family or your background. Almighty God has anointed, equipped and empowered you. He has given you creativity, ideas, inventions, skills and talents. Don’t you dare settle for a mediocre life! Today, I call forth the seeds of greatness inside you. Today, I declare that your best days are ahead, that you are blessed with success, with supernatural strength, with promotion, and with divine protection. I declare that you can do all things through Christ. I declare that before anyone could put a curse on you, God put a blessing on you. And no matter what they’ve said about you, no matter how they’ve tried to make you feel, the blessing always overrides the curse. Walk and live in that blessing by following His commands and staying fully committed to Him in everything you do!

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for blessing me and calling me according to Your purposes. I receive Your Word which is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. I will hide Your truth in my heart that I might not sin against You n Jesus’ name. Amen.”

My Thoughts:
As with all thoughts in the Holy Scriptures, the Context is very important.   I have often shared that “Contents without Context is Pretext.”    “All Things” needs to come into unity with other verses of scripture that we absolutely know and are doing the will of the HOLY SPIRIT.   John helps us with context:  “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him,  1 John 5:13-15.”  OK, so now, how do I get to know HIS WILL???   By prayer time,  but knowing the Holy Scriptures, especially the New Testament.  And also in counseling with others who have gone through the same problem of hard of hearing. 

But there are thousands of conditional scriptures on which to test,  challenge and strengthen our free will in finding GOD’s TRUTH in order to learn to make good decisions.  And there is a world of lies out there to challenge us.   James teaches this way,  “Consider it nothing but joy, my [b]brothers and sisters, whenever you fall into various trials (tests). 3 Be assured that the testing of your faith [through experience] produces endurance [leading to spiritual maturity, and inner peace]. 4 And let endurance have its perfect result and do a thorough work, so that you may be perfect and completely developed [in your faith], lacking in nothing.  5 If any of you lacks wisdom [to guide him through a decision or circumstance], he is to ask of [our benevolent] God, who gives to everyone generously and without rebuke or blame, and it will be given to him. 6 But he must ask [for wisdom] in faith, without doubting [God’s willingness to help], for the one who doubts is like a billowing surge of the sea that is blown about and tossed by the wind. 7 For such a person ought not to think or expect that he will receive anything [at all] from the Lord, 8 being a double-minded man, unstable and restless in all his ways [in everything he thinks, feels, or decides],  James 1:2-8   For more of who we are in Christ Jesus,  read Romans 8.   We are in an earthly process of learning how to do things GOD’S way, if we want to.   But we will never succeed in making HIM do our things our way.  And only the loving, humble, obedient and faithful will ultimately become HIS family.

PRECIOUS PROMISES, “WORTH CONSIDERING” 11/25/19   (Across my desk this morning.)

Today’s Scripture
“Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance. And so you will inherit a double portion in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours…”
(Isaiah 61:7, NIV)
Double For Your Trouble

When this Scripture was written, God’s people were going through a very dark time. They were being held captive against their will and mistreated by other nations. God sent this word to encourage them and give them hope for their future. When the time came, God was faithful to His Word!

Are you going through a difficult time today? Let this word bring you encouragement, too. God wants to give you double for your trouble. He is the God of restoration—that means He’s not going to just repay you for every wrong done, He’s going to go above and beyond and make things even better than they were before. If you are facing challenges today or going through a time of adversity, remember that it’s always darkest just before the dawn. Your days are destined to shine brighter because God is faithful. As you stay in faith and are obedient to His Word, you’ll receive double for your trouble and the blessings He has in store for you!

A Prayer for Today
“God, thank You for Your Word which lights my path and guides my steps. I choose to put my trust and hope in You today. Thank You for bringing restoration into my life as I keep my heart and mind stayed on You in Jesus’ name. Amen.”


My Thoughts,
Personally in my life,  I have found the above to be true.  When I have honored the LORD, fist spiritually,  I have never missed a meal unless I wanted to.   Even when I made honest mistakes and lost a lot of money in my life at times,  He has more than replaced it.   I have learned that your really do reap what you sow.  But our Heavenly Father is really a push over for love, humility and obedience.   He even gets the Angels singing if only one sinner accepts Christ Jesus as LORD on the way home.  But we tend to plaster the walls of our heart with gossip,  fear, doubt and unbelief.   But did you know that fear is faith going backwards,  and who wants to go there.  And we do tend to bring to pass what we have faith for, good or bad.  Best to get on board with finding the Great and Precious Promises of God and Bless HIM in believing them and walking them out in your own Blessing directly from HIM.

ETERNAL VISION,    “WORTH CONSIDERING”    11/22/19,   (Across my desk this morning.)

Today’s Scripture
“He has made everything beautiful in its time. He also has planted eternity in men’s hearts and minds [a divinely implanted sense of a purpose working through the ages which nothing under the sun but God alone can satisfy].”  Ecc. 3:11
Eternity Is In Your Heart

God has placed eternity in the hearts of mankind. Everything we experience not only serves a purpose here on earth, but it serves a purpose for eternity. Right now, God is working in you and putting inside you everything you need to fulfill your eternal destiny. He is making you ready to rule and reign with Him. As long as you are moving forward and gaining strength, you are gaining eternal victory. View what’s going on in your life with an eternal perspective. You have a higher calling; you have a greater purpose. Focus on what God is doing in your life. Don’t allow the little irritations to get you off course or distract you from what God has called you to do. Open your heart and mind and allow Him to prepare you for eternity. As you keep an eternal perspective and stay determined to be who God has called you to be, you will see His hand moving in your life, and you will live as an overcomer now and throughout eternity.

A Prayer for Today
“Father in heaven, thank You for placing eternity in my heart. Help me stay focused on things that have eternal value so that I can live to give You glory.”

My Thoughts
Long before I became a Christian in 1955, somewhere deep in my heart of hearts, I knew that death was not an end of things.  There was just too much planning in the creation around me for there not to be a source,  an “Intelligent Design” source, if you will.   Things in my body, this world and the universe shout loudly that there must be a Creator.   But then the world is in such a mess at the hands of man that you quickly get involved in trying to just survive.   And if you do, then to try to survive better than any one else.  As if security was based on what we have rather than who we are.   But then as life goes on and we get older there seems to be a vacuum in us that things or people can not fill.  But then some, a few, find that to be a God shaped vacuum that is really made for the Holy Spirit to fill and is empty.  And that it can not be filled otherwise.  HIS design plan is to have us invite the Holy Spirit into our lives to fill that void.  Adam kicked HIM out but in Jesus we now have the right to invite HIM back in.
Read the Gospel of John and deeply consider what you are reading.  Especially the verses listed above.

That the Creator wants to train us to learn to be in HIS Image and Likeness.  He teaches us a lot about this through Apostle Paul in Romans chapters 7 – 10.   Any one searching for Truth and Light should dissect those chapters in Romans and then follow up with a good in depth study of the little letters of James and Jude.  James and Jude were other children of Mary and Joseph and grew up with Jesus.  Their insight is profoundly helpful for a good overview of eternal things from the Creator’s perspective.  And it is faith in HIS perspective that helps us grow up to be like HIM.  Peter tells it this way:

According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him (Jesus) that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4 whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these we might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;

So our Creator is hoping for us to decide to point our free will towards HIM in Light, Love, Humility, Obedience and FAITH in order for HIM to create an eternal family with us.  All creation is held together by HIS LOVING FAITH.   HE is seeking to teach us how to use faith as well.  “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”  Heb.11:6

WALKING IN LOVE

WALKING IN LOVE,       “WORTH CONSIDERING”    11/21/19  (Across my desk this morning.)

Today’s Scripture
“And walk in love, [esteeming and delighting in one another] as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us.”  Eph. 5:2
Esteem One Another

We don’t hear the word “esteem” very much in our culture, but the Scripture tells us to esteem and delight in one another. One definition of esteem is “to hold in high regard.” That means we are to honor and value one another, even if we don’t always agree. They may not always act honorably, but we are to honor and esteem people because they are valuable in the eyes of God.

If you had a very costly and valuable piece of jewelry, you wouldn’t just wear it to the gym or leave it on the kitchen sink. No, you would treat it carefully. You would put it in a safe place and protect it. When we see others as valuable the way God sees them, we treat them carefully. We speak respectfully. We look for the good in others and honor them for who God made them to be. The Scripture tells us that the way we treat others is like sowing seeds, and it will come back to us. Choose to esteem and delight in one another. Sow good seeds, and you will see a harvest of blessing in your own life!

A Prayer for Today
“Heavenly Father, today I choose love. I choose to honor the people around me. Help me to see the value in others the way You see the value in me. Help my actions and words to esteem and delight in others so that I can be an example of Your love and light.”

My Thoughts:
We can never be reminded too much to walk in love.  We are born self centered and very selfish and find it very difficult to change.   In fact, we need lots of GOD’s Grace to change from being like Adam to being like Jesus.   And it is very true, what you sow is what you grow in your garden of life.   In Hawaii, as a white person, I am a minority in the place where I live.   And with the local brown folks there can be some deep rooted negative attitudes.  In fact when my kids were going to high school, the last day of school was called by the locals,  “Kilum Haole Day.”   My son David went to school anyway, and sure enough,  got beat up.  But in ministry I have found that if I met the local folks with God’s love and respect that the Aloha would flow and we could become great friends in spite of the cultural bad blood and history or skin color.  In the Dr.s office the other day there was this really big muscle of a young man with a very hard local face.   But I gently and lovingly went through the aura and found a really big humble heart in need of God’s love.  We parted with him taking my “Light” tract, giving me his aloha and wanting to get together again.  Time will tell if it was real or just accommodating but it was a heart to heart time for a few moments in time in God’s love.   Love is always a decision, and sometimes a scary or costly decision. That is why our Creator had to give us a free will.   And that even when HE knew it would make a mess out of things.  HE knew that out of the whole would come HIS kids looking for HIS love and encouragement in light,  The ELECT.   So with long suffering HE has endured the mess down here on planet earth that HE would clean up later,  like an after birth.  I have had the privilege to father 8 children but I have never consider the mess or the cost and I keep looking for their best and pray for their success in life.  God’s spiritual family is growing at a supernatural speed now.  I wounder sometimes, what is HE going to do with all of us kids?  But then I consider the size of the universe and how big and powerful and loving HE must be and think,  NO! HE has got it !!!!!

HIS REST

HIS REST,    “WORTH CONSIDERING”     11/20/19     (Across my desk this morning.)

Today’s Scripture
“For we who have believed do enter that rest…”
(Hebrews 4:3, NKJV)
Enter His Rest

God promises that there are “set times” in our future to bring His promises to pass in our lives, but He doesn’t tell us when they will be. Your set time may be tomorrow morning at 9:47. You’ll get the phone call you’ve been waiting for. Your set time may be two years from now. You’ll get a good break that will thrust you to a new level. My question is, “Do you trust God enough to believe that your set times are coming?” Are you willing to wait with a good attitude? Are you willing to get a new perspective? Remember, that set time is already in your future. Don’t let the negative thoughts talk you out of it. The way you know that you’re really believing is when you have rest on the inside. You’re at peace. You know the answer is on the way. You trust that God is working things out. Today, put your faith and trust in Him and enter into rest. Know that He is good and He is for you! Your set time of favor is on the way!
A Prayer for Today
“Father, today I choose to enter into rest. I choose to trust You, I choose to put my faith and hope in You knowing that You are good and that You have good things in store for my future in Jesus’ name! Amen.”

My thoughts:
Along time ago, Bob Mumford, told the story of how he was sure he heard that the LORD was going to have him minister in Chili.  So he sold his medical practice,  packed up his big family and moved from Florida to So. Calif. and was sitting on the dock with all that he had and no money….  After a while he had to find a job and located his family and swallow his pride that he was only in California.   Many years later as he was ministering he ended up in Chili and the LORD reminded Bob of the prophesy that it was valid, only nothing had been said as to when….  Chapter 4 of Hebrews is a wonderful teaching on how to enter into the “Rest of the LORD.”  It is really about the true meaning of the Saturday, Sabbath Rest of how to enter in by ceasing from our own works and to learn to be instantly guided by the Holy Spirit each and every day.  To actually come to the place of where we can clearly hear the HOLY SPIRIT guide us each day of the week and not just on Saturday. Heb.4 tells us that the Jews never did find the true meaning for the Sabbath.   The old Sabbath Rest was a type of the Holy Spirit Rest that is available for us now 24/7.   It is sort of like the Tithing of the Old Testament which was 10% to begin with but in the New Testament is now 100% of all we are or what we have.  As a true Christian,  it all now belongs to Christ Jesus as our King.  And believe me there will be testing to see if that is really where we live and who we really are.  And the testing is not for GOD to know, (HE already knows.)   But we are allowed to be tested so that we can really know where we really live and who we really are.  This is so we can choose to change to allow our Creator God to rebuild HIS divine nature into us for HIS and our Glory in Eternity. 

Free Will is a part of our creation package of who we are designed to be for eternity.  Love can not exist without Free Will.  But it has to be changed from being of an Adam self centered focus to being a Christ centered focus in order to live with our Heavenly Father in HIS dimension of Eternity.  As we become in Christ Jesus through Faith we are to be changed into our LORD’s Image and Likeness.  So in this lifetime we are in a process for getting us ready to jump to light speed if we will allow for it..  Also our new submission to true humility and obedience is to make absolutely sure that we don’t destroy the Universe as we have this planet earth.  Of course God already has in plans to recycle this solar system as found in Rev.21 to be made new into a place of HIS GLORY and Righteousness.   All of the old junk will be cremated along with the space junk.  God will make a new heavens and a new earth.  After our short life time opportunity on earth of being born into sin and forgiven and then a time of spiritual growth and testing we will be headed into life with GOD our Creator for Eternity.  Of course, if we choose otherwise the outcome does not look very good.  Our Creator God is very very unset concerning the rejection of HIS offered Salvation and Restoration..

TESTING

TESTING,      “WORTH CONSIDERING”     11/18/19,    (Across my desk this morning.)

Today’s Scripture
“Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed”  (1 Peter 4:12-13
Don’t Be Surprised

If you know you are going into a challenging season, you can get prepared for it. You can make sure you are mentally ready. But what about the difficulties that we don’t see coming? The unexpected crisis that catches you off guard? Sometimes it can seem so overwhelming and devastating when your life is suddenly turned upside down.

The Scripture says that we shouldn’t be surprised by fiery trials. That’s because the forces of darkness would not be fighting against you if they didn’t know that God has something amazing in your future! Sometimes those unexpected difficulties are just a sign that you’re on the right track. It’s always darkest just before the dawn appears. The enemy always fights the hardest when you are closest to your breakthrough. The key is to stay the course and keep fighting the good fight of faith. In the difficult times, keep your joy and keep declaring God’s Word over your future. God has promised that you will overcome every obstacle. You will defeat every enemy, and you will embrace the blessing and victory He has in store for you!

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for walking with me in every season of life. Today, I cast all of my cares on You. I cast all of my difficulties, all of my questions, and all of my concerns. Thank You for working all things out for my good in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

My Thoughts:
This bit of truth brought to mind that when back in the early 70’s it was about a 1/2 hour drive to the Pilgrim’s Inn on Saturday evenings where we held our hippie gatherings.   The hippies would start coming in about 4 in the afternoon and some would not leave till about 3 AM.   The Power of the Holy Spirit was so abundant in those days inspite of our need for wisdom and guidance.  But about the time I would leave home my wife Ann would get upset about something and turn the air blue all the way to the meeting.  But I knew by experience that the minute I stepped through the door that the air would become clean and fresh and full of the Holy Spirit.  After a while we would catch ourselves and realize what was happening and begin to laugh out loud about it.  If there is one thing that the enemy can not handle at all, it is to be laughed at.  Take a step of faith and try it sometime.  Just become aware that you are under an outside attack,  laugh at it and rebuke it in Jesus Name and it goes away, and very quickly.   There are 3 levels of attack,  outside, head and heart.  Outside,  Kenneth Hagen called oppression, head he called obsession and heart he called possession.  This understanding has worked out for me very well over the years in helping folks.

The Bible concept of planet earth is that it is a temporary gymnasium of testing and spiritual growth that either make you stronger in the LORD or kills you.   Remember how Eve was tested, failed and died.  Remember how Jesus was tested, submitted and had victory.   Hebrews 11 is a great chapter on those who have been tested and enjoyed victory.  In Romans 8 Paul teaches the same thing about our Heavenly Father providing everything we need for victory,  if we keep the FAITH.  That FAITH is the victory.  That it is through the great and precious promises (believed in faith) that changes us to have the divine nature of our Creator.  Peter writes about it:  so that the genuineness of your faith, which is much more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested and purified by fire, may be found to result in [your] praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.  1 Pet.1:7.  Jesus has John tell us this:  Fear nothing that you are about to suffer. Be aware that the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested [in your faith], and for ten days you will have tribulation. Be faithful to the point of death [if you must die for your faith], and I will give you the crown [consisting] of life.  Rev. 2:10  The Old Testament teaches us that our testing is like the refining of silver.  Zech.13:9  “And I will bring the third part through the fire, Refine them as silver is refined, And test them as gold is tested. They will call on My name, And I will listen and answer them; I will say, ‘They are My people,’ And they will say, ‘The Lord is my God.’”  Silver is purified by heating and skimming many times until the exact reflection of the creator is seen in the surface of the silver.

LOVE

LOVE,     “WORTH CONSIDERING”    11/15/19     (Across my messy desk, this morning.”

Today’s Scripture
“…May you be rooted deep in love and founded securely on love…”   Eph. 3:17
Established In Love

There is tremendous power in love! In the same way that a tree will grow taller and stronger when its roots grow deep, you will be stronger and rise higher when you are rooted and established in love. How do you establish yourself in love? It starts by making a choice. When you choose to say yes to love, you are saying yes to everything God is because God is love! Then every day, choose to love through your actions by modeling your life according to 1 Corinthians 13. That means choosing to be patient and kind. It means not seeking your own way, not being jealous or boastful. When you choose love, you are showing the world that God is first place in your life. The more you choose to walk in love, the deeper and stronger your roots will grow. Remember, love is the greatest thing. It is all that will last in eternity. Choose to establish yourself in love and let it be firm within you. Let His love build security in you and empower you to live the life of blessing He has in store for you.
A Prayer for Today
“Father, establish me in Your love. Show me how to love others the way You love me. Thank You for setting me free and empowering me to live the overcoming life You have prepared for me in Jesus’ name! Amen.”

My Thoughts,
In my past blogs, we have covered this subject but it can not be covered too much as it is the primary change we must embrace to enter into the coming Kingdom of God.  At one time, I ask the LORD for HIS definition of LOVE.  And very simply, in my heart, HE said,  “Love is the highest good for the other person regardless of personal cost.”   And as I have meditated on this it has become obvious that the Holy Spirit must be involved for wisdom.  We can be so very confused as to what is the “Highest GOOD.”   Most of the time we do what make us look good and do not considering the whole picture.  We can be permissive,  co-dependent,  emboldening of bad behavior which I sometimes call sloppy agape or greasy grace.  God’s love for us at times may be a good spanking.  In the Old Testament is reminds us that he that spares the rod hates his child.  Paul puts it this way:   For anyone who eats and drinks [without solemn reverence and heartfelt gratitude for the sacrifice of Christ], eats and drinks a judgment on himself if he does not [a]recognize the body [of Christ (The Lords Supper)]. 30 That [careless and unworthy participation] is the reason why many among you are weak and sick, and a number sleep [in death]. 31 But if we evaluated and judged ourselves honestly [recognizing our shortcomings and correcting our behavior], we would not be judged.  But when we [fall short and] are judged by the Lord, we are disciplined [by undergoing His correction] so that we will not be condemned [to eternal punishment] along with the world. 1 Cor.11:29-32.  “and you have forgotten the divine word of encouragement which is addressed to you as sons, “My son, do not make light of the discipline of the Lord, And do not lose heart and give up when you are corrected by Him; Heb.12:5.  So the concept of love travels along in good company with truth, faith, wisdom, humility, obedience and discipline.  Love does not mean to give what some one wants but to give what is best and good for them in the LORD as guided by the HOLY SPIRIT.  And they just might not like that and be offended with you as were the folks offended with Jesus for loving them in Truth as well.

Enjoy The Journey

When you love what you do, it doesn’t mean you don’t work hard or that you don’t have to deal with some frustrating days and people. That’s all a part of life. But ultimately, God can help you enjoy what you’re doing. When you’re in God’s will, there will be a joy on the inside. Deep down in your spirit, you will feel a sense of accomplishment. You’ll live the best life that God intended for you. If you’ll live a focused life with your priorities in order and clear goals for the future, there’s no limit to what God will do! He’ll take you places that you’ve never even dreamed of. You’ll experience the abundant life He has in store for you. Your deepest desire should be to follow God’s perfect will so that one day, you can look back and say, “This is why God put me here.
A Prayer for Today
“God, I am so thankful that because of Your presence in my life, the work I do each day can have real purpose and meaning. Help me to do my work with joy, as unto You, and use me to be a blessing to someone else who needs my encouragement and example today. In Jesus’ name – Amen.”

My Thoughts,
Making Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior is the only door into the Kingdom of God.  God in HIS Infinite power will assist any one on planet earth to find that Love, Light, Truth and Salvation through Christ Jesus that is looking for it.  God’s presence can be seen every where by the things that HE has created.  So there is no excuse for not seeking HIM.  So what we do indicates the direction that we are headed.  If for light, we seek to find and walk in GOD’S TRUTH in light.   If darkness then we are caught up in the worlds stuff lies and system of values with ourselves being the center.  It is very interesting how we can so easily rationalize good to be bad and bad to be good if it is what we want it to be.  Of course the Bible is a record of what the Prophets of old have found to be good.  So if we really want to know what our Creator’s TRUTH is,  The Bible is very handy in this country.  Our Loving Creator has set it up so that only those who really want to know HIM will find HIM.  In the future creations HE wants a family to live with HIM that is loving and obedient and there by choice.  So those who refuse to be loving, humble and obedient will not be there.  Love can only exist by having a free will.  And our learning to control our free will for good in love is the only way that a future disorder in the universe can be averted.  Look at what the wrong use of free will has done to our earth.  So straight and narrow is the way that leads to eternal life and few there be that find it.  Faith without WORK’S (or resulting action) is not true faith and is dead.

This also came in my mail today and felt to pass it along:
There was a time when Israel had no blacksmiths to make weapons and was without any armament to defend themselves. The enemy had succeeded to disarm Israel by removing their weapons, and those who forged them! He’s attempting the same tactic today.  A blacksmith is someone who works with raw material and fire, and who knows how to form and shape liquid metal into powerful weapons. Anyone who works skillfully and accurately with the word of God is a spiritual “blacksmith”. The enemy, who is constantly attacking the word of God, the sword of the Spirit, also seeks to silence or remove the spiritual blacksmiths of this world. If he can get rid of them – the battle is over.

We need to pray for God’s blacksmiths because the enemy is after them. Together with the fire of the Holy Spirit they forge the raw material of His word into powerful weapons which shape and mold God’s people into His image and equip them for spiritual warfare and fruitfulness. But we are all called to be strong in the word, and to take it up as our primary weapon. Every spiritual blacksmith, himself started out as raw material which was shaped and formed by the fire of God to fight in this battle with Satan.    So, as the battle rages, pray for the protection of God’s “blacksmiths”, even as you submit to His process of shaping you into one, yourself.

Empowered By His Presence

God wants to empower and strengthen you to overcome every obstacle in this life. He wants to give you confidence, wisdom and boldness to pursue the dreams and desires in your heart. He wants to give you supernatural insight so that you can be a witness of His goodness. In the Scripture, Peter and John were supernaturally equipped. Everyone around them marveled at their boldness, at their ability. They knew Peter and John didn’t have any formal training. They knew there wasn’t anything special about them. This power and wisdom could have only come from one place—the presence of Jesus. Friend, when you spend time with Jesus, people will see it. You’ll be energized by His anointing and equipped by His grace. That’s why it’s so important to take time every day to be in His presence. No matter where you are, His presence is only a prayer away. Scripture says He is near to all who call upon His name. It says that He inhabits the praises of His people. Make your relationship with Him your number one priority and be empowered by His presence each and every day!
A Prayer for Today
“Heavenly Father, I humbly come before You giving You all that I am. I surrender every area of my life to You and invite You to have Your way in my heart. Empower me with Your love as I daily set my focus on You in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

My Thoughts:
Seems to me there are potentially several ways to consider the possibility for the flow of GOD’S power.  Fist of all, are we really in heart faith or just in head understanding.  It takes a lot to change our heart (sub conscious) into a new faith Heb.11 direction.  What goes into our heart is controlled by what we allow to have access through our conscious mind,  good or evil.  Went through WallyMart the other day and viewed the video shelves…  of thousands of titles I could only find 3 positive titles from the cover graphics.  It was like up dated publicity for the Roman Coliseum for next event.   And I could even take it home with me and view it many times..  So if this is the food that we are digesting as a constant diet for our heart it will be difficult to find faith for the power of GOD to help us in time of need or in helping others. Faith comes by digesting the Truth of God from the Word of God in our hearts.  Faith can be a personal growth or a gift in time of need but GOD’s creation is totally dependent upon faith.  God is trying to help us find faith so we can live with HIM in HIS dimension of eternity.

 But then there is sometimes the issue of the lack of faith around us,  It is recorded in Matt.13:58:  And he (Jesus) did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

 And then there is the matter of individual heart faith that can be dammed up if we are saying no to the Holy Spirit in some other way in of our life.  Faith can only freely flow in humility, love and obedience.
Also there is the issue of unity in the collective faith.  Notice that even the prayers of a married couple are hindered if there is disunity.  1 Pet. 3:7.  And that our Lord Jesus prayed for our Unity that we would be able to experience HIS Glory (Power),  John 17:22 I have given to them the glory (power) and honor which You have given Me, that they may be one, just as We are one; 23 I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected and completed into one, so that the world may know [without any doubt] that You sent Me, and [that You] have loved them, just as You have loved Me. 24 Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given to Me [as Your gift to Me], may be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, because You loved Me before the foundation of the world.  Notice that it is the unity here in Truth that allows GOD’S power to flow.  So here we see that we need each other as in, Eph.4:11-16. And that we need to be personally walking on our growing edge in loving unity with nothing held back from the Holy Spirit.  That is when we begin to see the power of God flow and  be experienced for our needs and the needs of so many hurting people.  God will most times build a basket before HE will effectively start to pick fruit in the Holy Spirit.  So there is a process into completion and perfection as above as we move through our life time.

We are somewhat like batteries, we get charged up and perform accordingly, good or bad.  When we get charged up for good and are linked together much can be done in the Holy Spirit for the Kingdom of God.  Jesus started with 3, then 12, then 70 and then120 disciples all in loving unity and look at what happened.  Read again the Book of Acts and know that we are invited to enjoy the same kind of visitation in the Holy Spirit for the Glory of God. d

Bigger Than Fear

Fear always presents itself as much bigger than it really is. It’s always the worst-case scenario. It always tries to get you worried, anxious, uptight and panicked. Fear’s goal is to separate you from God by trying to get you to doubt His Word. But when the spirit of fear comes, recognize that it has no power unless you give it power. Don’t give it power by speaking what fear speaks. Don’t give it power by meditating on it. Instead, let the power of the Word of God rise up within you. Declare what God says; declare that God has given you all authority in heaven and earth. Declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper. Remember that no matter how big fear presents itself, it’s no match for the power of Almighty God. When you yield yourself to Him, you tap into His power. Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. God is bigger than your problems and bigger than fear. Let faith rise up in your heart because faith is the victory that overcomes the world.
A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for Your perfect love which drives out all fear. I choose to meditate on Your Word which feeds my faith and empowers me to overcome. I bless You and praise You today for Your goodness and grace in my life in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

My Thoughts,
There is a really big difference in head knowing about things and in heart faith in believing them.   Charles S. Price wrote a great little book on the subject, I strongly suggest that you order a copy if interested in the Real Kingdom of God and not just church membership.  It is titled,  “The Real Faith.”   Of course the little book of James spends a lot of time on the same subject.   Head faith changes nothing,  Heart faith can change everything.  The Holy Spirit is seeking to instruct us in the deep heart kind of faith.  That is how we are saved,  Rom. 10:9-10.  It is not in thinking, it is a knowing.  Some one once wrote that you must totally accept a principal in your mind over and over perhaps 20 or more times before your heart starts to consider the change.   The Bible even teaches that the heart is deceitfully wicked and must be changed to be in agreement with God’s Truth.  Before honor is humility and so in humility the Holy Spirit may teach us how to become like Christ Jesus if we will allow it.  This was and is our Heavenly Fathers original vision in the creation of man to be in HIS Image and Likeness.  Christ Jesus is the first of this level of creation.  It is by heart faith in the many promises of God that we can be changed into HIS Divine Nature if we will believe them in our heart.  Most of us have grown up to be actors.  We learn very early in life to not let anyone know what we are really thinking down deep in our heart (id, subconscious.)  We are told that we are like an ice berg,  only 1/7th is above the water, 6/7th’s can not be seen.   But our Creator God is into replacing the heart we received from Adam’s fallen genes with a new heart of righteousness, real faith and real love.

So once you have made Christ Jesus your personal LORD and received forgiveness for your past as your personal savior then the Holy Spirit begins the process of restoring what was lost in the pride and rebellion of Adam.   You have a freewill that needs to be converted to love the light of God and to seek out and support those things that are pleasing to HIM.   The Holy Scriptures,  The very WORD of GOD is most supportive of these needed changes.  And as we learn what our Creator really wants to do with us in eternity, it becomes more and more easy to avoid the old pits that we use to fall into all the time.

Last night, early morning, asleep,  I was again woken by two knocks.  I use to say who is it? and nothing.   But then I would feel this clammy cold feeling start to cover me in bed.  Of course I got on the defensive and rebuked it loudly in Jesus name till it went away.  Last night,  I again heard the 2 knocks.  But I had more heart faith and simple said in my mind, oh you again.  And as I felt that clammy cold feeling just said out loud,  simply, “Get out of here in Jesus name.” and it very quickly left.  So the Holy Spirit is gently allowing my heart faith to be increased to help me grow into what may be needed for the future.  So God has both declared me to be holy due to the resurrection of Christ Jesus and is also in the process of changing me to, in fact, become Holy.   As James taught us,  Faith without works is dead.  It is far past time for the Church to wake up and in loving unity learn to become, in fact, HOLY,  Eph. 4:11-16.
