LOVE             “WORTH CONSIDERING               11/29/22

John 10:10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.  John 21:13

So Jesus tried to draw Peter into Agape,  But Peter replied with Philia…  and finally Jesus had to settle with Philia as Peter was not yet up to  Agape.  (Total commitment and devotion is Agape,)   Philia is a (deep, personal affection,  close friend.)  So I guess we can also settle for Philia as second best,   but the Body of Christ when completed will be glued together with Agapi Love and totally into (feeding HIS lambs.)  So if you are not yet into learning how to feed the “LORD’S” lambs, you have some growing room yet to grow and to experience.

At 90 now, sort of difficult to go from point A to B.   Even to get out of a chair is a test.  This morning I had a tree trimmer cutting back a tree from Sunshine Tree Service.   In the process the Lord gave me the impression to give him, the owner,  a bit of Sonshine.  “IS THAT YOU, LORD?”  Thought it was???   The ministry business cards are in the box over the printer,   The tracts are in a box next to the annex and the Jesus Book that seemed to be what the LORD wanted to give him ????  So where is that book?   So I managed to get off of my butt, find the cards, find the tracts and finally found the Jesus Book and got it together and then slowly walked out to where they were dumping the chips from the tree in the garden.  He rolled down the truck window on the way out, so I asked him if he would like a little Sonshine to go with the Sunshine and spelled it out for him.   He gave me a really big grin and accepted the gift and went on his way..  Probably only in eternity will I find out what happened with all of that.  But I know that being obedient gave me a wonderful feeling of peace in serving my LORD, at least in thinking it was of the LORD.  Of course we find out by doing.   

We tend to use the word LOVE a lot and we are use to the context telling us to what degree.   So if we say,”I love you,” to a wife or I love my new shoes, we quickly understand the difference.  But with the ancient Greeks, they had a word for about anything.  That is one of the reasons that the translators had a difficult time with translating the New Testament from Greek into English.  In fact a few words they did not even translate like baptism and bishop as it would conflict with the 1600 meanings of words and could have caused the translators a bit of pain.  Also translators were limited to trying to understand what God was meaning like the word believe that we use a lot for everything, but really,  in the Greek of the scriptures it  mean to “trust in, rely upon and cling to” like sitting in a chair.  When you set in a chair you totally trust the chair to hold you up or you will not sit there.  So when we “believe” in Jesus it has the same meaning.  But most Christian that I know have not truly learned to totally trust in Jesus and are more into a Do It Yourself Program and trying to build their own chair. In fact, I understood the other day that only about 25% of evangelicals now believe the Bible to be accurate and of course even less than that for the liturgical folks who believe they can write their own Bible.   So the Evangelical’s tend to become indulgent, the Liturgical’s tend to become sanctimonious and the Pentecostal’s tend to become a carnival. Which underlines how much we need each other in the LORD’S   LOVE, HOLINESS & POWER in Agape Love in order for the world to really see Jesus as LORD.   I was taught in the beginning that just accept Jesus as my Savior and ask HIM to forgive me and then get baptized and it was a done deal.   For me that lasted about 9 months with the kids in highschool calling me deacon but due to lack of growth and spiritual nutrition my house of cards totally came apart.   Nearly shot myself after during wreck.  But only had a 22 so thought better of it as could end up in the hospital for life and that could be worse.

So later at age 23 I ran into a young man of 19 who had really make Jesus LORD & SAVIOR.  I had never found anyone like Floyd Aires before.   So went through that door again after really messing up my life.   But finding that Jesus certainly is the door and the way to GOD the Father as through a narrow straight road called sanctification.  Or the process of being conformed into the image of being like Jesus.  My personal road had been rather rocky with a lot of battles that I did not always win due to Adam’s left over Junk still in me and this world.   The Scripture that comes to mind is.   1 John 15-20:   “15 Do not love the world [of sin that opposes God and His precepts], nor the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world—the lust and sensual craving of the flesh and the lust and longing of the eyes and the boastful pride of life [pretentious confidence in one’s resources or in the stability of earthly things]—these do not come from the Father, but are from the world. 17 The world is passing away, and with it its lusts [the shameful  pursuits and  ungodly longings]; but the one who does the will of God and carries out His purposes lives forever.18 Children, it is the last hour [the end of this age]; and just as you heard that the antichrist is coming [the one who will oppose Christ and attempt to replace Him], even now many antichrists (false teachers) have appeared, which confirms our belief that it is the last hour. 19 They went out from us [seeming at first to be Christians], but they were not really of us [because they were not truly born again and spiritually transformed]; for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but they went out [teaching false doctrine], so that it would be clearly shown that none of them are of us. 20 But you have an anointing from the Holy One [you have been set apart, specially gifted and prepared by the Holy Spirit], and all of you know [the truth because He teaches us, illuminates our minds, and guards us from error].

It is my prayer that if you have read this you will give it the thought that it needs to change you, especially those of my biological family.   Really want to leave no one “Left Behind” as according to 2 Thess. 2:7-12 there will not be a second chance to change your mind once the door is closed.

CHURCH & HEAVEN

CHURCH & HEAVEN               “WORTH CONSIDERING”              11/25/22

This is an attempt to give us an idea about heaven that I thought was a good effort.  But heaven is not in sitting on cloud 9 playing a harp.  In fact, Heaven is way beyond our ability to even comprehend.

So lets start out with what the church is to be like and then get into what is about heaven.   The Church is the key to the door into the heavens part.   And church is not really as what we now see around us.

In my book “Key To The Kingdom” (available on Amazon.) I do an intense study on what the Church (bride, body of Christ, Rod of Iron, wife) of Christ Jesus is to be and look like.   You can also find the book  among the links at the bottom of the Home-Page of: www.OhanaChurch.Life    if you like more details.   And I truly hope you do spend the time finding out what the target looks like as we can never learn to hit what we don’t practice aiming at.  So the prophesy of what the church would look like started with GOD (The WORD) sharing with Moses how to build the Tabernacle in the wilderness,  Exodus 40 and this was all prophetic of the Church in Acts 2:38-47.  I hope you get your Bible and read this as it is the heart of what we are supposed to be doing today.  We have never been given the authority to change the simplicity of this union between GOD & MAN.  In fact in Acts 5:16 the power of God became so evident that everyone who came, in need, to Jerusalem was healed and set free of demons due to the loving faith and unity factors.  As we consider the Tabernacle and the Church we find the following 7 steps of ascending into the presence of GOD.

1.    It is all about Jesus as LORD and nothing about denominations or so called  leadership.
2.    It is all about GOD’s TRUTH and nothing to do with the vain traditions of men.
3.    It is all about  fellowship in sharing love & unity with each other.  Acts 5:12
4.    It is a reminder memorial of what Christ Jesus did for us in love, of being the “Lamb of God.”
5.    It is all about bringing our Prayers & Petitions collectively to our Heavenly Father.
6.    It is all about ministering to each other in the Holy Spirit.  James 5:16
7.    It is all about finding God in Christ Jesus and being healed, delivered & perfected for eternity,  Isa.61.

The early Christians would go to the local Synagogue and evangelize among the Jews and invite them to a House/church at sunset on Sabbath evening which was the 1st day of the week in Jewish culture.  And after the meal would possible make a break for those who wished to go home.  Then they would proceed with the “Lord’s Supper” with those who stayed for the rest of the evening.   And they would continue with the gathering until the Holy Spirit was finished.  Some times that would be way late into the early mornings.   But unless the LORD build the house, they labor in vain (pride, uselessness) of them who build it.  Psalm 127:1.   We have been trying to build big houses for the LORD but not directed by the Holy Spirit.  So then most gifts and offerings have been tied up in supporting buildings & clergy rather than being used for evangelism and helping the poor.   The U.S. is obvious of this fact, we have denominations of division and church building everywhere and very little power of the Holy Spirit in helping folks to be healed and set free of demons and filled with the HOLY SPIRIT.  In Paul’s letter to the church in Corinth 1 Cor. 14:26-33 as follows:   “What then is the right course, believers? When you meet together, each one has a psalm, a teaching, a revelation (disclosure of special knowledge), a tongue, or an interpretation. Let everything be constructive and edifying and done for the good of all the church. 27 If anyone speaks in a tongue, it should be limited to two or at the most three, and each one speaking in turn, and one must interpret [what is said]. 28 But if there is no one to interpret, the one [who wishes to speak in a tongue] must keep silent in church; let him speak to himself and to God. 29 Let two or three prophets speak [as inspired by the Holy Spirit], while the rest pay attention and weigh carefully what is said. 30 But if an inspired revelation is made to another who is seated, then the first one must be silent. 31 For [in this way] you can all prophesy one by one, so that everyone may be instructed and everyone may be encouraged; 32 for the spirits of prophets are subject to the prophets [the prophecy is under the speaker’s control, and he can stop speaking]; 33 for God [who is the source of their prophesying] is not a God of confusion and disorder but of peace and order.  As [is the practice] in all the churches of the saints (God’s people),

So as you consider the above instructions by God’s apostle to the Gentiles, has it ever been your experience in “going to church?”  This can only work in smaller groups as a work of the people who are full of the Holy Spirit in the Unity of the Faith and in the Bond of Peace.   We find the same concept in Paul’s writing to the Ephesian Church in Eph.4:11-16 for the perfecting of the saints.  So we actually need to find unity in the loving Truth of God so HIS power and once again flow.   So we need to change our concept of the meaning of CHURCH to be according to Holy Scriptures rather than the traditions of man.  And we can not learn to hit something that we don’t practice in aiming at.  Here at the Church of Jesus at the TrueVine that is what we are doing.  And even the Children are enjoying and want to come.  More like show and tell about Jesus.  And we now  meet on Friday evenings at 6 for a shared meal and 7 for Bible Fellowship at this time.

Heaven,  Obviously Jesus is LORD here and with us in the Holy Spirit, John 17:20-26 but Jesus also tells us in HIS Father’s House there are “Many” places to live.   So we could be only one of HIS many creations through the  universe.  But we probably have the only lucifer and are the only spiritual hot house in the universe.  So we have the challenge of being “perfected” in Christ Jesus in LOVE with a Free Will and a total desire to live in loving humility, obedience and righteousness by choice.  So I suspect that if there are other creations, that they know little about what we are learning in being perfected in Christ Jesus.  And it seems to me that our Heavenly Father wants to permeate all of HIS whole creation with the example of that loving humility, obedience and love of righteousness in Christ Jesus to the rest of HIS creations by example and loving power rather then by painful experience.   That is why in Christ Jesus HE is making us into Kings, Priests and Ambassadors.  2 Cor.5:20, Rev. 17:14, 20:6,   Luke 19:17.   Notice in The Revelation of Jesus, chapter 21,  that in Verse 20 that upon completion of the 7,000. years of this dimension of time that GOD converts all of the matter/energy of this world and possibly the sun and moon into a new creation as in verse 1, the sea is gone, and it would seem that the sun and moon is also gone in verse 23.   And the dimensions of New Jerusalem (City of Peace) is 1500 miles at the base and 1500 miles high as in verse 16.   So it appears that this City becomes home base for GOD the Almighty, Christ Jesus, the Word of God and the Holy Spirit as also the Church.   And notice that in verse 24 nations who make Jesus LORD will bring honor and glory to GOD in righteousness to this new Heaven.

SOCIAL CHURCH

SOCIAL CHURCH        “WORTH CONSIDERING”    11/24/22

Due to Covid 19 big changes have been experienced by the so called CHURCH.   Many have closed their doors and have a FOR SALE sign on the front lawn.   And interesting search on Google, I did it, amazing what is now up for sale across the country.   

A survey was made of evangelical churches and they came up that only about 1/4 of the people now believe that the Bible is the Word of God.   So we are now having a lot of folks that think they are Christian and going to go to heaven based on what they want to believe rather than the Truth that our Creator God has sent us through HIS prophets and Christ Jesus as LORD.  

So it would seem that we have an emerging  “Social Church” making up their own doctrine but we also still have a “Biblical based Church” which is seeking to find God Truth from the context of the Holy Scriptures.  Over the years, I have learned that God’s Truth is the only thing that works and to be sure I have to know it for my self from the Bible.  As the transition that GOD wants to take us through, as Jesus taught, is straight and narrow and only a few will find it.   So now in the world there are many lovely pastel’s to select from.   But only God’s Truth is the perfect white light with the perfect balance of all of the colors that we can see.  And God’s perfect Truth is the only truth that the Holy Spirit can confirm with God’s Power.

Many so called church’s today are only a church of words and theological thought and few have any faith at all for God’s Supernatural Power to be present.  But actually we were encouraged by Jesus to learn to do what HE did,  and HE told us that we would even do greater things than HE did, 1 Tim.4:13.  And Jesus came to make it possible for us to discard the Adamic nature of pride and rebellion and find in HIM the heavenly nature of loving humility, obedience and power.  There are so many places in the Bible which tell us one thing and our traditions in church do another.

We are at a time in world history that we need to really know what GOD said as to the TRUTH as we are getting very close to the end of this age, Luke 21:24: “And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and will be led captive into all nations; and Jerusalem will be trampled underfoot by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled (completed).”    In my life time I have lived through WW2 and the captivity of the Jews and saw Jerusalem become again the capital city of Israel and the Jews return to the land.  So we are well into the birth pains now for the completion of the “Body of Christ” HIS “Rod of Iron” to assist Christ Jesus during HIS 1,000 reign as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.  Rev. 20:2-5. Time will then cease and there will be a new heavens  and a new earth of God & family.

And so,  what are we doing wrong so at to limit the Power of God from touching those in need?  This is some of the list that I am working on:

The Lord’s Church is an interactive forum, Our vain traditions have made it into a money pit theater.
Church is to be of and by and for Jesus as LORD,  with the people in loving unity, 1 Cor. 14:26-30
The church does not use tithing, God wants 100% of the time and resources from HIS people as given in faith.
The gifts and offering that are freely given should go for the Gospel & the poor, 2 Cor. 9:7
No scripture found for using ministry funds for anything other then evangelism and helping the poor.
No Biblical support  for supporting the vain traditions of having a paid clergy.
Only Men can teach Men to be righteous and holy before the LORD, 1 Tim.2:12, 3:2
No scriptural support for divisions of any kind.  no agree to disagree.  John 17:20-26
Jesus alone to be lifted up, as Lord & Savior.  Eph. 4:11-16.    Not a denomination nor a gifted minister.
No support for building buildings as a church, House Churches only found used in New Testament.
No sharing of a Christian home for other than Biblical doctrinal positions.  2 John 1:10
Only the Bible can be used in context to find God’s Truth.  God is not the author of confusion.

And this is just a beginning list of where seems we need real change,   Paul gave a very accurate prophesy concerning or Latter Day church, 2 Tim. 3 which also includes: 2 Tim. 3:5, “ traitors, reckless, conceited, lovers of [sensual] pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 holding to a form of [outward] godliness (religion), although they have denied its power [for their conduct nullifies their claim of faith]. Avoid such people and keep far away from them.”

Jesus said this about it in Mark 7:7   “He replied, “Rightly did Isaiah prophesy about you hypocrites (play-actors, pretenders), as it is written [in Scripture],   ‘These people honor Me with their lips,  But their heart is far from Me.  ‘They worship Me in vain [their worship is meaningless and worthless, a pretense],  Teaching the precepts of men as doctrines [giving their traditions equal weight with the Scriptures].’  8 You disregard and neglect the commandment of God, and cling [faithfully] to the tradition of men.”

Paul shares with Timothy, 2 Tim.4:2-4:   “preach the word [as an official messenger]; be ready when the time is right and even when it is not [keep your sense of urgency, whether the opportunity seems favorable or unfavorable, whether convenient or inconvenient, whether welcome or unwelcome]; correct [those who err in doctrine or behavior], warn [those who sin], exhort and encourage [those who are growing toward spiritual maturity], with inexhaustible patience and [faithful] teaching. 3 For the time will come when people will not tolerate sound doctrine and accurate instruction [that challenges them with God’s truth]; but wanting to have their ears tickled [with something pleasing], they will accumulate for themselves [many] teachers [one after another, chosen] to satisfy their own desires and to support the errors they hold, 4 and will turn their ears away from the truth and will wander off into myths and man-made fictions [and will accept the unacceptable].

Today, in 2022, we are finding this error and vanity of words, all around us.   And we find many in denominations that are seeking to be lifted up in the “Lord’s Glory” for personal gain. of to build their own ego.   The church of Christ Jesus is without walls and a place where Jesus is LORD.     Acts 17:11:   “Now the Berean’s were more noble and open-minded than those in Thessalonica, so they received the message [of salvation through faith in the Christ] with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so.

TRINITY OF GOD

TRINITY  OF GOD                   “WORTH CONSIDERING”               11/20/22

Jesus,   Yeshua,   YHWH  – ALMIGHTY FATHER, WORD, HOLY SPIRIT, –  ONE GOD…

The Logos is God, begotten and therefore distinguishable from the Father, but, being God, of the same substance ·   Logos is the Greek term translated as “word,” “speech,” “principle,” or “thought.”  So God “The Word” anointed Jesus for HIS powerful ministry.  So we need to know that the Word of God was upon Jesus, Isa.61;1 ,The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me,   Because the Lord has anointed and commissioned me To bring good news to the humble and afflicted;  He has sent me to bind up [the wounds of] the brokenhearted,  To proclaim release [from confinement and condemnation] to the [physical and spiritual] captives And freedom to prisoners,  And as in John: 1:14   And the Word (Christ) became flesh, and lived among us; and we [actually] saw His glory, glory as belongs to the [One and] only begotten Son of the Father, [the Son who is truly unique, the only One of His kind, who is] full of grace and truth (absolutely free of deception)“ So Jesus, (Yeshua) during the life time of his testing was the “Son of Man.”   Then in HIS resurrection He became the Word of God as merged for eternity.  Notice that Isaiah was clear that the anointing was upon Jesus, Not that Jesus, prior to testing,  had become the Word of God.

In several accounts in the New Testament we see that Jesus was anointed of God and full of the Holy Spirit but he was still the ”Son of Man”and being man was being tested until HE died.  Heb.3:14.  So every word that Jesus spoke under the anointing of the Word of God who in Gen 1;26 was doing the speaking in creation.  In the foreknowledge of God, (Almighty Father, Word & Holy Spirit) knew all about Jesus as already conceived in the beginning blueprints.  But with HIS birth the Building was Started for redemption and  for the Church.  The Church is now being  built upon the Word of God from Pentecost till now through the Holy Spirit who was sent by Christ Jesus, the Word of God .

One of the best examples of the Word being on Jesus was in the Garden.   Luke 22:41-43, “And He withdrew from them about a stone’s throw, and knelt down and prayed, 42 saying, “Father, if You are willing, remove this cup [of divine wrath] from Me; yet not My will, but [always] Yours be done.” 43 [a]  Now an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him.  And then again as Jesus was dying: Matt. 27:46,   “Now from the sixth hour (noon) there was darkness over all the land until the ninth hour (3:00 p.m.). 46 About the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud [agonized] voice, [a]“Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” that is, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” Also prophesied in Psalm 22:1, “My God, my God, why have You forsaken me? Why are You so far from helping me, and from the words of my groaning?”  God can not be tempted and God can not die.

Many have been taught that Jesus was God during his days of testing, No, HE came for a new beginning as a second Adam not to be diverted by lucifer or forfeit  his Spiritual Life.   Rom.5:15, “But the free gift [of God] is not like the trespass [because the gift of grace overwhelms the fall of man]. For if many died by one man’s trespass [Adam’s sin], much more [abundantly] did God’s grace and the gift [that comes] by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, overflow to [benefit] the many.”   So we see here the type of the lamb being fulfilled that Able was taught to offer for sin.   In fact the whole Bible carries that theme from beginning to end.  And that is the primary purpose for all of the Prophets even unto John the Baptist.  And Jesus called John the greatest of the prophets.

Along with these thought Hebrews 2:15-18 adds a lot of understanding.  “Therefore, since [these His] children share in flesh and blood [the physical nature of mankind], (That is us.)   He Himself in a similar manner also shared in the same [physical nature, but without sin], so that through [experiencing] death He might make powerless (ineffective, impotent) him who had the power of death—that is, the devil—  and [that He] might free all those who through [the haunting] fear of death were held in slavery throughout their lives.  For, as we all know, He (Christ) does not take hold of [the fallen] angels [to give them a helping hand], but He does take hold of [the fallen] descendants of Abraham [extending to them His hand of deliverance].  Therefore, it was essential that He had to be made like His brothers (mankind) in every respect, so that He might [by experience] become a merciful and faithful High Priest in things related to God, to make atonement (propitiation) for the people’s sins [thereby wiping away the sin, satisfying divine justice, and providing a way of reconciliation between God and mankind].  Because He Himself [in His humanity] has suffered in being tempted, He is able to help and provide immediate assistance to those who are being tempted and exposed to suffering.

Jesus, as the Son of Man, was upon earth exactly like us, except for not having a sin nature.  Every thing that HE did HE told that we can do if we learn from the Holy Spirit,  how to do it.  John 14:12: “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, anyone who believes in Me will also do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these because I am going to the Father.”  Paul tell us to leave any gathering that does not exhibit the power of the Holy Spirit in confirmation of the message being given, 3 Tim. 3:5. It is God’s healing and deliverance that the world needs to experience to draws souls to Christ Jesus as LORD.  So much of my life has been painful and wasted due to my lack of securing God’s Truth and Walking it OUT.  It is only HIS Truth that HE can confirm in power.  I am now going through the Word of God to refine HIS Truth and in humility seek HIS help to learn to become fully obedient in LOVE.  We have been given HIS wonderful and loving power but we are yet really dumb about knowing how to use it for HIS glory and for lifting up Jesus as LORD.   We experienced little of the kind of UNITY in LOVE that Jesus prays for us to learn in John 17:20-26.  We are full of vain (prideful) traditions) Mark 7:6-8.  “ He  replied, “Rightly did Isaiah prophesy about you hypocrites (play-actors, pretenders) as it is written [in Scripture],  ‘These people honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. ‘They worship Me in vain [their worship is meaningless and worthless, a pretense],Teaching the precepts of men as doctrines [giving their traditions equal weight with the Scriptures].’You disregard and neglect the commandment of God, and cling [faithfully] to the tradition of men.”  Change in not easy but a must if we plan on living with our Creator God in the family of God.  Remember,  the 5 foolish virgins did not make it even though they were virgins, think about it.

Probably one of the most difficult concepts to learn about from our Holy Bible is about   GOD’s definition concerning LOVE.  In our English speech one can say, “I really love cigars” and turn to a wife or children and tell them I really LOVE you.  So we depend A LOT upon the context to really fill in the missing spaces.   Other wise  communications really breaks down and a wife and kids could think that a cigar was what dad was thinking about when he said he loved them.

The Greek language was a lot more expressive, they had many words for love.   Sex as in marriage was  eros,   It was life giving love.   I am sure you know what sexual love is all about.  And in having 8 kids my friends were always wanting to make sure I was up to speed on the knowledge.   That Greek word eros means in English,  intimate love.   Then there is the Greek word ( storge ) for family affection, meaning beloved or dear or prized as a long term good friend with care , respect and compassion.   Then there was the Greek word Philia for Brotherly Love  that unites.  However, what our Creator God has in mind for us to know about and to learn to walk out with Him is the kind of love where you would lay down your life to help or save another person as Jesus did for us.  John 3:16.   Rev 12:11 takes us to that place in the ultimate victory over lucifer, We let lucifer in (in Adam) and in Jesus we get to boot him out.  Our Creator is in the process of creating an Agape Family for HIS home.

Agape (Pronounced: Uh-GAH-pay) is the highest of the four types of love in the Bible. This term defines God’s immeasurable, incomparable love for humankind. It is the divine love that comes from God. Agape love is perfect, unconditional, sacrificial, and pure.

Jesus Christ demonstrated this kind of divine love to his Father and to all humanity in the way he lived and died: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

Following his resurrection, Jesus asked the apostle Peter if he loved him (agape). Peter replied three times that he did, but the word he used was phileo or brotherly love (John 21:15–19). Peter had not yet received the Holy Spirit at Pentecost; seems he was incapable of agape love. But after Pentecost, Peter was so full of God’s love that he spoke from his heart and 3,000 people were converted.

I was watching a WWI flick the other night and a guy did exactly that on the battle field with bullets like cord wood and the Holy Spirit really touched me that I truly needed to grow more.  If it had been me, I would not have done all that to save that worthless guy.   Next day at a restaurant  for lunch the janitor was very crippled yet doing a very special job of keeping the place.  Some kids had spelt juice under a table, very very difficult for him to get down and clean up but he was totally committed to doing a 1st class job, no matter what.   The Holy Spirit then told me to go talk to him and give him the 34 healing scriptures that I knew where to find.   So I got out of my seat and tracked him down and told him what a good job he was doing and how I appreciated his work ethics.  We talked for a minute and then I pulled out a tract with directions on how to find the 34 verses on healing that a person had used in the 1970 to be healed of terminal cancer.  The expression on his face totally changed, he gave me a really big grin and wanted to make sure that he could find the scriptures clearly on the web.  And as I set down I felt a touch of God’s Agape Love as an overflow of what the man had felt as God really did love him and that he was not forgotten of God nor just a crippled  janitor in a quick foods restaurant.  I also felt that I had a lot more to learn about God’s Agape Love that HE wants us all to have and give away for HIM.   So let’s try to digest just a few important teachings from our Holy Bible on the subject.   The Bible is a LOVE letter of God’s LOVE to and for us and all we can share it with.

1 Cor.13:1-3:   “If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not [a] love [for others growing out of God’s love for me], then I have become only a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal [just an annoying distraction]. 2 And if I have the gift of prophecy [and speak a new message from God to the people], and understand all mysteries, and [possess] all knowledge; and if I have all [sufficient] faith so that I can remove mountains, but do not have love [reaching out to others], I am nothing. 3 If I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body [b]to be burned, but do not have love, it does me no good at all.”

Eph. 3:17-19: “ so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through your faith. And may you, having been [deeply] rooted and [securely] grounded in love, 18 be fully capable of comprehending with all the saints (God’s people) the width and length and height and depth of His love [fully experiencing that amazing, endless love]; 19 and [that you may come] to know [practically, through personal experience] the love of Christ which far surpasses [mere] knowledge [without experience], that you may be filled up [throughout your being] to all the fullness of God [so that you may have the richest experience of God’s presence in your lives, completely filled and flooded with God Himself].”

Phil. 4:8: “Finally, believers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by God’s word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things [center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart].

John 4:16-20: “We have come to know [by personal observation and experience], and have believed [with deep, consistent faith] the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides continually in him. 17 In this [union and fellowship with Him], love is completed and perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment [with assurance and boldness to face Him]; because as He is, so are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love [dread does not exist]. But perfect (complete, full-grown) love drives out fear, because fear involves [the expectation of divine] punishment, so the one who is afraid [of God’s judgment] is not perfected in love [has not grown into a sufficient understanding of God’s love]. 19 We love, because [a]He first loved us. 20 If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates (works against) his [Christian] brother he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen.

SIGNS & WONDERS            “WORTH CONSIDERING”        11/18/22

Preach the word [as an official messenger]; be ready when the time is right and even when it is not [keep your sense of urgency, whether the opportunity seems favorable or unfavorable, whether convenient or inconvenient, whether welcome or unwelcome]; correct [those who err in doctrine or behavior], warn [those who sin], exhort and encourage [those who are growing toward spiritual maturity], with inexhaustible patience and [faithful] teaching. For the time will come when people will not tolerate sound doctrine and accurate instruction [that challenges them with God’s truth]; but wanting to have their ears tickled [with something pleasing], they will accumulate for themselves [many] teachers [one after another, chosen] to satisfy their own desires and to support the errors they hold, and will turn their ears away from the truth and will wander off into myths and man-made fictions [and will accept the unacceptable]. 2 Tim. 4:2-4.

Frankly, If the Holy Spirit shows up with signs and wonders that’s all the certification that is needed by me that Jesus is alive, well and doing business as usual.   But if no supernatural, if no confirmation from the Holy Spirit then something is wrong as the Gospel came both in words and in power. Jesus came as in Isaiah 61, Luke 4 to love and heal and deliver sinners, and I am all for it. So if a person is really a Friend (Lover) of God then real signs and wonders are going to follow. So we who  really love HIM and are in obedience to HIM should be in the process of learning to do what HE did..   2 Tim.3:5

Mark 16:17-20:  These signs will accompany those who have believed: in My name they will cast out demons, they will speak in new tongues;  they will pick up serpents, and if they drink anything deadly, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will get well.” So then, when the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, He was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.  And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord was working with them and confirming the word by the signs that followed.]

Matt. 17:19-20:  Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and asked, “Why could we not drive it out?” He answered, “Because of your little faith [your lack of trust and confidence in the power of God]; for I assure you and most solemnly say to you, [a]if you have [living] faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and [if it is God’s will] it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.

John 17:20:  “I do not pray for these alone [it is not for their sake only that I make this request], but also for [all] those who [will ever] believe and trust in Me through their message, that they all may be one; just as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be one in Us, So that the world may believe [without any doubt] that You sent Me.  I have given to them the glory (power) and honor which You have given Me, that they may be one, just as We are one;  I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected and completed into one, so that the world may know [without any doubt] that You sent Me, and [that You] have loved them, just as You have loved Me.  Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given to Me [as Your gift to Me], may be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory (power) which You have given Me, because You loved Me before the foundation of the world.  “O just and righteous Father, although the world has not known You and has never acknowledged You [and the revelation of Your mercy], yet I have always known You; and these [believers] know [without any doubt] that You sent Me;  and I have made Your name known to them, and will continue to make it known, so that the love with which You have loved Me may be in them [overwhelming their heart], and I [may be] in them.”

In humility we need to learn how to work together to do what Jesus did.   When we get it right, then God’s Power will flow and the world will know without any doubt that we have been sent by God.   I am still working on getting it right,  but the power is beginning to start to flow again just a little as we here are getting closer to Jesus.  Otherwise it is just words and more words and the world is full of words already.  Jesus told us to follow HIM and to teach what HE taught,  Matt.28:20.   This is obviously in what HE taught.  If we can not do it, then in humility we need to find out why and grow up in HIM in all things,

 Eph.4:11-16 it is obvious.  And [His gifts to the church were varied and] He Himself appointed some as apostles [special messengers, representatives], some as prophets [who speak a new message from God to the people], some as evangelists [who spread the good news of salvation], and some as pastors and teachers [to shepherd and guide and instruct],  [and He did this] to fully equip and perfect the saints (God’s people) for works of service, to build up the body of Christ [the church];  until we all reach oneness in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God, [growing spiritually] to become a mature believer, reaching to the measure of the fullness of Christ [manifesting His spiritual completeness and exercising our spiritual gifts in unity].  So that we are no longer children [spiritually immature], tossed back and forth [like ships on a stormy sea] and carried about by every wind of [shifting] doctrine, by the cunning and trickery of [unscrupulous] men, by the deceitful scheming of people ready to do anything [for personal profit].  But speaking the truth in love [in all things—both our speech and our lives expressing His truth], let us grow up in all things into Him [following His example] who is the Head—Christ.   From Him the whole body [the church, in all its various parts], joined and knitted firmly together by what every joint supplies, when each part is working properly, causes the body to grow and mature, building itself up [a]in [unselfish] love.

We will never become what God created us to be till we take HIM at HIS simple WORD and in humility admit to where we are and how much we need HIM for HES work to be completed in us.   He can not do it without our will,  and we can not do it without humility, obedience and HIS power.   Acts 5:16,   They were all healed and set free.   HIS Church needs power,  not just words.

TRIALS & TRIBULATIONS          “WORTH CONSIDERING”       11/11/22

An organization in Montana offered a bounty of five thousand dollars for every wolf captured alive. Two hunters decided to head for the hills and make some money capturing wolves. Day and night, they scoured the mountains and forests, searching for their valuable prey. Exhausted after three days of hunting without success, they both fell asleep.    During the night, one of the hunters suddenly woke up to find that the two were surrounded by a pack of fifty wolves, their eyes flaming and teeth bared. At once, he called to his friend, “Hey, wake up! We’re gonna be rich!”

Sometimes we feel in over our heads in difficulties. They surround us like that pack of wolves preparing to pounce. But perhaps these difficulties are actually opportunities??  But through these tribulations, we see that God is taking each situation, one by one, and turning it for His Glory — They just become more opportunities for us to testify of His goodness.  Today, we have the opportunity to learn and grow and experience the grace and power of God through these trials which surround us. The devil is not as smart or powerful as he appears — and we have a great and All-Mighty God who has a way of using our enemy’s silly tactics for the building up of His Great Kingdom!   Worthy Brief <worthybrief@worthynetwork.com&gt;

Ken’s Notes:     Often, people have shared with me about why did God allowed this and that.  Or why does not God do something about this and that.  As if God is somehow responsible for all of the bad stuff on earth.   Actually God did make Adam and made him with a freewill to rule on earth but Adam did not listen and decided to obey lucifer instead of God.  So in disobedience the world came under lucifer’s control but in obedience is could be won back.   So in the fulness of time Jesus came and won it back for those who want to learn to live in obedience to God.   So like the scripture teaches us, “In Adam all died, so in Christ Jesus all are made alive.  Rom. 5:18, 1 Cor.15:22

So our Creator God has given us the cure for all of the bad stuff on earth if we will decide to obey Jesus as Lord rather than lucifer as lord.  And the 66 writings in the Bible have been given to us by God through HIS prophets for us to learn how to become obedient to Jesus as LORD.  Rom. 10:9-10

And if you get into your Bible and learn about sin and righteousness you will find that God has allowed lucifer to still be in charge of the disobedient.  And that the bad stuff on earth only makes those who submit to Jesus as LORD even to be stronger in victory.  God will not allow us to be tested beyond what we are able to have the victory over.  But the victory is only ours if we go for it and depend upon the Lord for the help we need to secure the victory.  Rom. 8 is a wonderful chapter concerning God’s Power, through Jesus for our victory over trials and tribulations.  1 Cor.10:13

And God never gives anything and then takes it back.  He already knows what we are going to do with it before it is given.   GOD knew that lucifer would defect due to free will.  But he also knew that Gabriel and Michael needed free will to be complete.   So our Creator God  now has 2 mighty angels who do as they do because that is what they want to do.   Unfortunately lucifer will soon find that his pride and rebellion in his free will is going to be very costly for him.  So we are now growing up in a spiritual gymnasium with freewill which can make us strong spiritually or kill us.  We are really in deep spiritual warfare which come to us in physical forms as per Eph. 6:11-12:  “Put on the full armor of God [for His precepts are like the splendid armor of a heavily-armed soldier], so that you may be able to [successfully] stand up against all the schemes and the strategies and the deceits of the devil. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this [present] darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) places. 13 Therefore, put on the complete armor of God, so that you will be able to [successfully] resist and stand your ground in the evil day [of danger], and having done everything [that the crisis demands], to stand firm [in your place, fully prepared, immovable, victorious].”  So who puts on the armor?  Do you see it, we are responsible for putting on the armor of God.”  And then Paul goes on to tell us about the armor.  Eph. 6:14-18: “So stand firm and hold your ground, having [a] tightened the wide band of truth (personal integrity, moral courage) around your waist and having put on the breastplate of righteousness (an upright heart), and having [b] strapped on your feet the gospel of peace in preparation [to face the enemy with firm-footed stability and the readiness produced by the good news]. Above all, lift up the [protective] [c] shield of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.  With all prayer and petition pray [with specific requests] at all times [on every occasion and in every season] in the Spirit, and with this in view, stay alert with all perseverance and petition [interceding in prayer] for all [d] God’s people.”

So we have Belt of Truth, Breastplate of Righteousness, Firm Footing, Shield of Faith, Helmet of Salvation, Sword of Word of God and all in prayer.  We are heading into some really stiff battles so is your armor in good repair?   How polished up is your armor?  Does is shine like the Son?

If you learn to put on your full suit of armor you will be able to live a victorious life in Christ Jesus as your LORD, (Master).   If not, you will be like a kite in a strong wind without a string.    Rom.8:37-39:   “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors and gain an overwhelming victory through Him who loved us [so much that He died for us]. For I am convinced [and continue to be convinced—beyond any doubt] that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present and threatening, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the [unlimited] love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

POWER

POWER                “WORTH CONSIDERING”         11/8/22

The LORD has given me a strong warning not to think like everyone else does. He said, “Don’t…live in dread of what frightens them. Make the LORD of Heaven’s Armies holy in your life…. He will keep you safe.”  Isaiah 8:11–14, NLT
    
Don’t Think Like Everyone Else     (    Received this morning from a church in Texas.)
Ken, negative news is all around us—how frightening the sickness is, how bad the economy is, what’s coming in the future. If you dwell on that, you’re going to end up afraid, worried, and panicked, thinking you’re not going to make it. It’s a negative cycle that keeps drawing in more fear, more worry, and more defeat. It weakens you and drains your strength, your energy, and your passion.   Today’s Scripture warns us to not think like everyone else. Negative thinking is contagious. When other people are afraid, worried, and negative, you have to be on the offensive and say, “No, I know my God is still on the throne. I will outlast whatever comes against me. I have strength in Christ for all things.” At the start of the day, you need to set your mind for victory. Don’t let just any thoughts play. You have to purposefully think power thoughts, victory thoughts, abundance thoughts, can-do thoughts. Keep honoring God, and He will defeat your enemies and keep you safe.
    
A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that no weapon formed against me shall prosper because You are the guardian of my soul. Thank You that I can set my mind for victory today and not be afraid of what frightens and worries other people. I declare that I will not think like everyone else. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Ken’s Notes,
As I woke up this morning, the Holy Spirit started talking to me about the Power of God and how very difficult it was to get souls to understand how God’s Power works and why the church of today is so weak concerning knowing about or how to enjoy the Power of God.   Our vain traditions have moved us from being a very powerful representative of God’s Power to mostly, if not all, just words about Power.   So I felt the words from Texas confirmed what the Holy Spirit wanted me to write.

In Isaiah 61 the prophesy is that God would come to earth in Power,   In Luke 4:18-21 we find that Jesus  fulfilled  that prophesy concerning God’s loving Power.   In Acts 5:16 we find that same Power of God invested in HIS CHURCH to the point that every one who came to Jerusalem to Church were healed and delivered.   In fact Paul tells Timothy in 2 Tim.3:5 that if a church has no power to avoid that church and go someplace else where there is God’s Power.   Frankly here in Kona, I really don’t know where to go to find GOD” POWER among GOD’s people as I see it in the New Testament.   More like none at all or only hit or miss and even sometimes mixed with deceit to make a show that looks like God’s power.   With the pushing of folks over and the miss use of tongues without interpretation in the church, 1 Cor.14:26-33.   Yet Paul tells us clearly the speaking in prophesy with understanding is better than thousands of words in tongues.  1 Cor.14.  And that the real proof of being filled with the Holy Spirit is the use of GOD’s  POWER to make Jesus known as LORD & KING.   So it is very obvious to me as I read the Holy Scriptures that God deeply loves every soul of HIS creation and wants the very best for all of us.  But for us to be able to grow up and be like HIM, Gen 1:26, HE had to give us free will.  God is LOVE and love must have free will as otherwise we would just be robots.  And a family of robots is not what our Creator God is up to.   He is in the process of creating a real family in HIS image and likeness.  And He is enjoying the process and  HE is never in a hurry as with HIM time does not exist. So how do we get back to Luke 4:18-21 and enter into what Jesus came to do as we come to be in HIM to be able to do as He did?

1.    Are we really in HIM or are we really still in our old Adamic ego prideful selves only trying to look like HIM but really not changing anything to be like HIM.  This is incomplete REPENTANCE.  God would violate your free will to try to change you if not up for it..  You would then become only a robot but not family.  This is not what God is about.  Our Creator God is into building a family who really loves Him and wants to be righteous and with HIM.

2.    Family with our Creator God is a spiritual unity and not biological unity.  Ideally,  great to be both.  But the spiritual is the connection not the biological.   I hope all my biological family get to be born from above and find their way into the family of God. but up to each of them.

3.    There are many words that we use to share the knowledge of the Kingdom of God but do we know God’s meaning for: Love, Faith, Humility, Obedience, Unity, Honor, Repentance, Forgiveness ?  All words in the New Testament of importance but do we really know what God thoughts are by these words?  Or have we altered the meaning to mean what we are comfortable in what we mean by them?  Do we really love our neighbor as ourselves with Agape Love.   The kind of love that Jesus had for the guys driving nails in HIS feet.   Do we really have heart faith so as to begin to learn to move mountains?  Where the mountains really begin to be moved and we are not walking is presumption or empty head words.

4.    Or Humility, do we really have the humility to read John 17:20-26 and become part of the cure and not part of the problem of disunity?  My last paper was on Unity, take a look if really up for it.   This is a major factor concerning the lack of power in HIS church.  Humility is experiencing a desire to want to find God’s Truth above all else and to walk it out.  Humility is not self serving, but GOD serving.  It wants to find God’s Truth more that protecting it’s self serving,  prideful ego or self righteousness.  Humility is learning to be selfless like Jesus as he shared the Kingdom of God with the woman at the well,  John 4:6.

There is so much available on this subject in the New Testament as Jesus came and received the Power to change us and anyone who is interested.  Rev. 22:17.   Of course God already knows those who will respond to HIS Love in Christ Jesus, but we don’t.  So in time it is still up to us as to living with God in Light or living with ourselves in Darkness.  Jesus gave the Church the Power that was given to HIM, John 17:22, Matt. 28:18-20.  So we need to find and restore that GOD Power so that the world can see and honor Christ Jesus as high and lifted up and draw all of God’s Elect to HIM.   If your soul lives out eternity in total darkness, it will be because you made that choice to be there.  The Creator God will only be giving new eternal bodies to those who  want to really live with HIM in loving peace, joy and power and are willing to repent or change, to be able to fit in.   He is not going to allow pride and rebellion on earth to mess up HIS universe for eternity like it has this planet in time.   God gave Adam authority to rule,  we have the story of what happened.

UNITY FACTOR

UNITY FACTOR:           “WORTH CONSIDERING               11/7/22

Nimrod, (meaning a might hunter) was a king of Shinar,   today if we call someone a Nimrod we infer they are an idiot or a jerk, a foolish or inept person, a droofus.  In Genesis 10:8-12 he is described as to be the first on earth to be a mighty hunter before the Lord..  He is also thought to have built the cities of Nineveh Calah, Rehoboth-Ir and Resen.  There is some resemblance between Nimrod and the Mesopotamian epic hero Gilgamesh.   I add this in as an introduction as to the importance of the truth found in Gen. 11:5-8, which I share so you will deeply consider:  

“Now the Lord came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built. And the Lord said, “Behold, they are one [unified] people, and they all have the same language. This is only the beginning of what they will do [in rebellion against Me], and now no evil thing they imagine they can do will be impossible for them.   Come, let Us (Father, Word &, Holy Spirit) go down and there confuse and mix up their language, so that they will not understand one another’s speech.”   So the Lord scattered them abroad from there over the surface of the entire earth; and they stopped building the city.    

Notice the line that is bold and underlined.  What made this evil possible and what was God’s solution.  It is obvious that Unity and Power go together for Evil or for Good….”United we stand, divided we fall.”  So if power was built into Adam to have authority over the world as in Gen.1:28, then when the parts of Adam come together in unity there is the synergy of power.  As you consider the Book of Acts, please note the Unity factor as mentioned many times as there is the supernatural intervention of the Holy Spirit in Power.  Acts 1:14 “One Mind”,   Acts 2:1, “in one place”,   Acts 2:32″ we are all witnesses”, 2:42,”devoting themselves to the instruction of the apostles…”2:43, “A sense of awe was felt by [j] everyone, and many wonders and signs (attesting miracles) were taking place through the apostles.” 4:32 “Now the company of believers was of one heart and soul,” 5:12, “ And by common consent they all met together [at the temple] in [the covered porch called] Solomon’s portico.“   5:42, “And every single day, in the temple [area] and in homes, they did not stop teaching and telling the good news of Jesus as the Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed).”  6:5, “The suggestion pleased the whole congregation;” 13:3, “Then after fasting and praying, they laid their hands on them [in approval and dedication] and sent them away [on their first journey].  13:52, “And the disciples were continually filled [throughout their hearts and souls] with joy and with the Holy Spirit.“   15:22, “ Then the apostles and the elders, together with the whole church, decided to select some of their men to go to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas….“The apostles and the brothers who are the elders, As most of the rest of Acts is the record of Paul as a missionary we now go back to the words of and about Jesus.  Matt.13:58, “And He did not do many miracles there [in Nazareth] because of their unbelief.” Mark 6:4-6, “ 4 Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor (respect) except in his hometown and among his relatives and in his own household.” 5 And He could not do a miracle there at all [because of their unbelief] except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them. 6 He wondered at their unbelief. “ ”John 1:26, “  Nathanael answered him, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” Philip replied, “Come and see.”                   

In the Early Church confession, we find these compacted thoughts:   “In Essentials,  UNITY…  In all else LOVE….”   So how to get rid of the vain (prideful) traditions that make the Word of God,  ineffective.    David gives us the answer in Ps. 119:10-16.   Only by deeply knowing the Word of God in “CONTEXT” can we filter out the poisons of this world.   And where there is any difference, to have the love to seek God’s Truth and not try to protect our own.  And both submit to God’s Truth what ever that is.   It is only in HIS TRUTH that we find freedom.

Godly Unity in Truth is needed for the release of the Power of the Holy Spirit as God is not the author of confusion.  He can not confirm what is not HIS.  The lack of power,  1Tim3:5,  in the church today is due to lack of  unity and use of vain (prideful) traditions.   Jesus prayed in John 17: 20-26 as follows, for our perfect unity.  God’s power can only flow through God’s unity in truth..  “I do not pray for these alone [it is not for their sake only that I make this request], but also for [all] those who [will ever] believe and trust in Me through their message,  that they all may be one; just as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be one in Us, so that the world may believe [without any doubt] that You sent Me.  I have given to them the glory and honor which You have given Me, that they may be one, just as We are one;  I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected and completed into one, so that the world may know [without any doubt] that You sent Me, and [that You] have loved them, just as You have loved Me. 24 Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given to Me [as Your gift to Me], may be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, because You loved Me before the foundation of the world.  “O just and righteous Father, although the world has not known You and has never acknowledged You [and the revelation of Your mercy], yet I have always known You; and these [believers] know [without any doubt] that You sent Me; 26 and I have made Your name known to them, and will continue to make it known, so that the love with which You have loved Me may be in them [overwhelming their heart], and I [may be] in them.”

I assure you and most solemnly say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea!’ and [a] does not doubt in his heart [in God’s unlimited power], but believes that what he says is going to take place, it will be done for him [in accordance with God’s will]. For this reason I am telling you, whatever things you ask for in prayer [in accordance with God’s will], believe [with confident trust] that you have received them, and they will be given to you.
Matt. 11:23-24

So we need to line up in heart faith in loving unity concerning Building of the Body of Jesus, 1 Cor.12.   That we become fitly joined and compacted together as provided by every part till the world can see Jesus, Eph. 4:11-16.   And prior to the Church being called home,  this prayer will be totally and completely  answered.  So divisions by denomination or doctrine or attitudes or to agree to disagree have no place in the Kingdom of God.   Division only means we are too prideful and self centered to work together on finding God’s Truth in love and coming into the Unity of the Faith and the Bond of Peace  in His truth.

WORD OF GOD          “WORTH CONSIDERING”        10/31/22

The Word of God, is normally understood to be the Holy Bible by most Christians.   Some believe that every word is anointed and directly from God.  Others feel it contains the Word  or Truth of God as originally written but that the Truth of God comes to surface as you consider all of the prophetical writings on the same subject.  And also some see the Bible as just another book on spiritual stuff like  the Qur’an or any other book.  The present Pope seems to feel this way.

Before I became a Christian in 1955 I felt that there must be a heaven and hell,   I was not ready to say that there was no God as no one can say that logically unless they know all that is knowable.  But my Cosmic Glue theology was what I collected over the years for myself.  It allowed  me to do what ever I wanted to do and really not needing to change, if I didn’t get caught hurting someone.   My theory was that when you died it was a soul migration to be with folks like yourself.   And I was somewhere in the middle so would be with souls like me and that would be OK as from my perspective I was a pretty nice guy at 23 with 1 ½ kids and working hard at paying the bills.  Of course this philosophy had no solid justification at all in fact.  I concocted it all by myself.  And it seems like most folks today also take the freedom to make up their own philosophy for their lives.   The Golden Rule does get some subjective consideration within limits.  But basically we are telling our Creator to accept what we have made up for ourselves as being HIS Truth?

So then comes along Moses, the Bible, Jesus, Peter James, John and Paul to tell us that there are really absolutes, spiritually, just as there are physically in our known world.  So the Bible has become the most published of books but probably the least read and understood.  So in this blog I will try to help you understand how to find God’s Truth in your Holy Bible.  First off most try to start reading in the beginning not knowing some guide lines.   The Old Testament contains history and truth but they are buried in hundreds of words.  Jesus came to give us the simple version of God’s Truth.  So I recommend starting with the Gospel of John as a good starting point.   John wrote his account of the Good News about Jesus as an old man about 95 AD.   And he had a good overview of the life of Jesus and the Early Church.  Then we need to read Acts as to what our church today is supposed to be like.   And after that the Book of Romans that Paul wrote to the Church in Rom as to fine tuning some very important doctrines of God’s Truth.  Those 3 writings contain the bones of the Christian Faith on which all else will easily be joined into in developing the Body of Christ..

So for me the Truth of God as contained in the Holy Bible works for me.  Over the years I have witnessed hundreds of souls being set free and finding a new life in Christ Jesus as LORD.   I have seen and been apart of many being healed and delivered from demons.  It was not of me, but the collective faith of those who came together in love.  And when the message went out in the solid Truth as the Word of God and many were in faith to believe then the Holy Spirit was free to confirm with mighty signs and wonders like as in Act 5:17.  In my first 13 years of “church” experience I was taught that this no longer happened.  Of course, without faith, in that church nothing much did happen.  More like a social club meeting of some kind.   But in 1968 I found out that the Bible still worked if you knew the guide lines and returned to what the Holy Spirit taught in the beginning.

So how to find the guide lines.   You know that if you find out God’s Truth and reject it and refuse to change that God’s Truth will be a point of judgment for you in the resurrection.  So if you are not interested in changing at all.   You need to stop here.  As the first words from the mouth of St. Peter at Pentecost, and it is the same for today, was,  “REPENT” or change.  We must all change from being the self centered, rebellious, unloving, prideful, children of Adam to asking God to make us in HIS image and likeness as in Gen.1:26.  This is God’s will for us but HE has given us a free will and HE can not make us change.  HE can only help us change when and  if we want to change.

So if you are still with me, the key for the understanding of the Bible is found in the writings of the prophet Isaiah 28:9-20.  The key verses being 11-13, “Indeed, the Lord will teach this people [in a more humiliating way]  By [men with] stammering lips and a foreign tongue,  He who said to them, “This is the place of quiet, give rest to the weary,” And, “This is the resting place,” yet they would not listen. Therefore the word of the Lord to them will be [merely monotonous repetitions]:  “Precept upon precept, precept upon precept,  Rule upon rule, rule upon rule, Here a little, there a little.” That they may go and stumble backward, and be broken, ensnared, and taken captive.

So notice here that the same Truth to one gives  rest and a resting place but if ignored becomes a snare and causes those who reject God’s Truth to be broken.   In 2 Tim.3:15-17 we find these words concerning the Holy Scriptures, “and how from childhood you have known the sacred writings (Hebrew Scriptures) which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus [surrendering your entire self to Him and having absolute confidence in His wisdom, power and goodness]. All Scripture is God-breathed [given by divine inspiration] and is profitable for instruction, for conviction [of sin], for correction [of error and restoration to obedience], for training in righteousness [learning to live in conformity to God’s will, both publicly and privately—behaving honorably with personal integrity and moral courage]; so that the [a] child of God may be complete and proficient, outfitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work.

So the way I seek to find God’s Truth for more freedom starts off with a quest in a given subject that I want to know more about.  I use the convenience of “Bible Gateway” which gives me about 35 different translations and a Greek to English translation as well.   Then I take all of the scriptures on the same subject and move them around each other until they fit together like in  a puzzle..  Then I ask the Holy Spirit to help me  find the foundations of what HE is trying to teach with that Truth of God.  And I am finding that much of the traditions of today were added and are not allowing the Holy Spirit to move in power to confirm God’s Truth.  I asked a Christian the other day if they knew what the fruit, gifts and ministries of the Holy Spirit were and they had no idea.  Jesus had and taught about them yet they knew nothing about any of them.  Do you know why you were created and what your Creator has designed for you to do in your very short time on earth.  Is your time spent on being comfortable or in living for God?  It is the “Word of God” in context, written as a love letter from God to help us figure this out.  If you need any help, please feel free to get back to me.
