PERFECTING STRENGTH in WEAKNESS       6/24/21

“God does not offer us a way out of the testings of life.  He offers us a way through, and that makes all the difference.” -W.T. Purkizer     Often God’s way up is down: from the “downer” of 40 days in the wilderness, to the beginning of a ministry of signs and wonders;  from the downside of a Roman prison, to letters that are still cherished two millennia later; from declaring with a curse, “I know not the Man,” to “in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene — walk!”

PLUMBING the DEPTHS BEFORE doing “GREATER THINGS”
Be open to this possibility: not even the depths can thwart the  purposes of God; in fact, the road to the heights normally runs right through them! As a famous artist once commented to a friend of mine, “My greatest pictures are painted against a dark background.” No matter how “negative” the process looks to our eyes and others (think of Job and his so-called counselors),  God faithfully, and without tiring, draws us through the “depths” of our soulish lives and impulses toward the heights of the life of the Spirit.  At the end of his troubles, Job finally understood, “I know You can do all things,” and “No purpose of Yours can be thwarted.”

I have many times faced the death of my dreams, visions, ideas,  goals and initiatives. Yet, more and more, I am seeing God’s hand, offering to transform all these “negative-appearing results of my weakness and failure,” to use them as my teachers, showing me what abiding in Him actually looks like. Even our worst mess-ups can be seen as gifts in the purposes of God –  what Michael Wells calls “warning lights,” which serve to keep us better on course.

There is truly a child-like simplicity in all this: When I am abiding in Him, I cannot and will not ask of Him anything that wouldn’t bring glory and honor to Him. I become like the child in a drought-stricken land, whose prayers were answered when a woman was the only person to show up at the “Pray-for-Rain Meeting” carrying an umbrella!

Jesus likened our relationship to Him as to a branch abiding in the vine – concluding His teaching with the words, “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it shall be done for you.” Looks like “greater things” are on the way for all branches abiding in the vine! But, first, let’s look at another aspect of the necessary downside.

MY POINT of EXTREMITY – GOD’s STARTING POINT
George Washington Carver is known for his work in finding so many uses for the peanut. Yet, few are aware that Carver also revitalized the entire paint industry in the South via his work  with pigments drawn from the clays in the soil around Tuskegee Institute (where Carver spent most of his productive years as a researcher/teacher). In one case, year after year, he doggedly  sought to recreate the “royal Egyptian blue,” a mixture of pigments that had last been seen in the Pharaohs’ tombs.  After twenty-five years of unsuccessful experimentation – he finally, desperately, declared to the Lord that he was giving up.       That’s when the abiding presence of the Holy Spirit within him asked, “Have you tried this formulation?” He ran into his lab and tried it. Then, for the first time in 3,000 years out came the royal Egyptian blue!

A lifetime of education and research was not enough. Carver’s point of extremity became God’s starting point. Many, if not all, “greater-than” moments come via divine revelation at the point of man’s extremity.

“THANK GOD for THE COMMUNISTS!”
A “spiritual grandpa” of mine, Norman Grubb, who went to be with the Lord at age 98 some years back, once exclaimed to me, “I thank God for the communists!” Having identified with the anti-communist movement of that era (along with several other “anti- movements”), I gasped in response, “Just how can you say that, Norman?!” Grubb responded with, “The communists are creating the vacuum that can only be filled by Jesus Christ!” It wasn’t much longer after that that the Berlin Wall fell. Thousands of missionaries flooded into formerly communist countries, bringing the good news of Jesus Christ to fill the communist-created vacuum within hungry hearts.

Do you have a problem, a crisis, a perplexity, a relational breakdown, a pain or a sorrow?…  Such problems can be used by the Holy Spirit to create the vacuum that only Jesus Christ can fill.

In the upside-down irony of God, His Holy Spirit typically transforms our greatest areas of weakness into His most powerful areas of ministry through us. Many an unwed mother, transformed by the power of the cross, has eventually started a ministry to unwed mothers and their babies. The Christian parents who lose their children in an accident, perhaps end up starting an orphanage or clinic. The redeemed, former prostitute or drug pusher, develops a rescue ministry for street kids. Coincidence?

We started this transformation process as children, are still in it, and always will be while on this earth.   Speaking for myself, I can say that my days of wanting to do great things for Jesus are, hopefully, behind me. For I now see  how too often I took the vision, figured out how to do it, and clothed it in the robes of my own soulish devices (with Biblical prooftexts, of course), rather than in the robes of Jesus Christ’s  authority. As a result, I have produced a lot of lemons. Now, to my great joy, I am discovering how God makes His lemonade out of my life’s lemons.

Instead of “doing great things for Jesus,” my increasing desire is that I would travel His “downward” path to the place where He does His “greater things” through me.

As George MacDonald wrote, “No words can express how much the world owes to sorrow.  Most of the Psalms were born in the wilderness.  Most of the Epistles were written in a prison. Take comfort, afflicted Christian: when God is about to make a preeminent use of a man, He puts him in the fire.”

Isa. 57:1,    This is a great prophetic verse,   if evil = WRATH,   it is slam dunk.  Wycliffe Bible,  “that the just, or the righteous, have been taken away, before that malice, or the evil, come.”  Some translators use calamity which is close.   Hebrew word:   ra’ah  (evil, calamity) to come.   The 7 yr. Great Tribulation of God’s WRATH to come upon earth for what was done to Jesus & the rejecting HIS salvation?   Also Isa. 28:14-22  fits nicely.

FAMILIES IN GOD’S KINGDOM:
Those in the faith of Abraham under the old testament covenant are the family friends of the Bridegroom.  John 3:28,  “Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him.  29 He that hath the bride is the bridegroom:   but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.  30 He must increase, but I must decrease. ”   So those in Jesus under the New Testament who (WILL) covenant, and be  filled with the Holy Spirit,  are the Bride/Church.  The Prophet John, saw this clearly and notes he was a friend of the Bridegroom.   John was the last and greatest of the Old Testament Prophets so would represent Israel.  So I suspect that there will be other families of of those prior to Noah and to Abraham and another family that comes into the heaven during the 7 yr. Great Tribulation.   And of course the last family may come out of the 1,000 yr. Kingdom of Christ.  As the experiences will be so very different.  So the relationship to Christ Jesus will be different.  Even as the disciples were different and had different relationships to Jesus.

RAPTURE:
VIRGINS:   Matt. 25:8-12:   “And the foolish said to the wise, Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.  9 But the wise replied, There will not be enough for us and for you; go instead to the dealers and buy for yourselves.  10 But while they were going away to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were prepared went in with him to the marriage feast; and the door was shut.   11 Later the other virgins also came and said, Lord, Lord, open [the door] to us!  12 But He replied, I solemnly declare to you, I do not know you [I am not acquainted with you].  There is so much confusion concerning the Rapture that I no longer go by what folks say about it but what I find for myself in Biblical context.   There is no doubt in my understanding that the Rapture is before the Great 7 yr. Tribulation of GOD’S WRATH.  And we could miss the Rapture if in the world we still had money for oil but not the oil for our lamp.  I find very few 100% Christians today.  Also, the “Rod of Iron”  Is found in 4 places in our Bible,   Psalm 2:9,   Rev. 2:27,  Rev.12:5,  Rev. 19:15.     Note that in Rev:12:5 that the Church (Rod of Iron) & Man Child (Jesus) are caught up together, prior to the 7 years of the Great Tribulation.   Rev. 12:6 (3 1/2 yrs.) + 12:14 for another 3 1/2 yrs.  The 7 yrs. of the Great Tribulation.

In Matt.24:37, Mark 13:33-37 & Luke 21:26-37 Jesus also taught about the Rapture.  In the Rapture of those DEAD and ALIVE, new eternal bodies will be given to all. 1 Cor.15:51,  “Take notice! I tell you a mystery (a secret truth, an event decreed by the hidden purpose or counsel of God). We shall not all fall asleep [in death], but we shall all be changed (transformed)  52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the [sound of the] last trumpet call. For a trumpet will sound, and the dead [in Christ] will be raised imperishable (free and immune from decay), and we shall be changed (transformed).   53 For this perishable [part of us] must put on the imperishable [nature], and this mortal [part of us, this nature that is capable of dying] must put on immortality (freedom from death).  54 And when this perishable puts on the imperishable and this that was capable of dying puts on freedom from death, then shall be fulfilled the Scripture that says, Death is swallowed up (utterly vanquished [h] forever) in and unto victory.  Also Jesus brings HIS rewards with HIM to share for works performed for HIM , 1 Cor.3:14. It is also very clear that the Holy Spirit, who came at Pentecost, and now holds the antichrist at bay will be “taken out of the way”   As the Church is locked together with the Holy Spirit, and when HE leaves, the Church also leaves with HIM .   “ Let no one deceive or beguile you in any way, for that day will not come except the [a] apostasy comes first [unless the predicted great [b] falling away of those who have professed to be Christians has come], and the man of lawlessness (sin) is revealed, who is the son of doom (of perdition),  4 Who opposes and exalts himself so proudly and insolently against and over all that is called God or that is worshiped, [even to his actually] taking his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming that he himself is God.  5 Do you not recollect that when I was still with you, I told you these things?  6 And now you know what is restraining him [from being revealed at this time]; it is so that he may be manifested (revealed) in his own [appointed] time.  7 For the mystery of lawlessness (that hidden principle of rebellion against constituted authority) is already at work in the world, [but it is] restrained only until [c] he (The Holy Spirit) who restrains is taken out of the way.  8 And then the lawless one (the antichrist) will be revealed and the Lord Jesus will slay him with the breath of His mouth and bring him to an end by His appearing at His coming.  (Armageddon)  9 The coming [of the lawless one, the antichrist] is through the activity and working of Satan and will be attended by great power and with all sorts of [pretended] miracles and signs and delusive marvels—[all of them] lying wonders— 2 Thess. 2:3-8.”

Paul shares about in 1 Cor. 15: 51-58 along with 1 Thess.4:15-18 & Acts 1:10-11,   with the meeting in the clouds of the air, verse 17 and in 1 Thess.5 1-4 we are reminded Jesus will snatch away HIS church departure like a thief in the night when others are saying Peace and Safety and they will not escape the Wrath of God and the time of darkness of the Great Tribulation as they were not Looking for HIM and ready and missed HIS coming.  And we see that the wise Virgins had their lights on bright were ready when the Bridegroom came, which is Jesus, and they left with HIM.   And we know that without Faith, it is impossible to please GOD.   If you have no faith for the Rapture,  you may miss it as the 5 foolish virgins when it happens.  Even Jesus could not do many marvelous works in Nazareth due to their unbelief.   And as Jesus did say,  “Be it unto you according to your faith.”

The rapture will happen as a total surprise, at a time when all are feeling false sense of peace and safety as in the days of Noah.   This will not be true at mid-trib as the world wars move into the NWO world slavery of 666, Rev.13:17-18.   1 Peter 4:17-19,”For the time [has arrived] for judgment to begin with the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will [be] the end of those who do not respect or believe or obey the good news (the Gospel) of God?   18 And if the righteous are barely saved, what will become of the godless and wicked?   19 Therefore, those who are ill-treated and suffer in accordance with God’s will must do right and commit their souls [in charge as a deposit] to the One Who created [them] and will never fail [them].  Heb. 13 5, “Let your character [your moral essence, your inner nature] be free from the love of money [shun greed—be financially ethical], being content with what you have; for He has said, “I will never [under any circumstances] desert you [nor give you up nor leave you without support, nor will I in any degree leave you helpless], nor will I forsake or let you down or relax My hold on you.”  Of course, we all still have a free will, and we can bail out of HIS care at anytime that we want to.  Or we can love the world and refuse HIS love.

Prior to the Rapture or (snatching away) of the Church from earth and prior to the Great Tribulation…. “When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?  7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.”    Acts 1:6:

But these things will be the signs of HIS coming for the Church in the clouds of he air with the trumpet of GOD.   “And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;  11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.”  Acts 1:10-11.  So still a mystery.
 
Jews return to the Land 1948, Matt.24:32-34  (Have wondered about the years of a generation,   If meant Jerusalem, 1967,  6 day war?   Or more to come?   (Generation,  42 generations to Jesus from Abraham in 2,000 years.  Generation = 47 yrs. + 7 Months +/- ) + 1967 = 2015 or 6 yrs ago,  Calendar off by 3 yrs?  2018  ?????  Did not happen in 2018,  we are still here?

Antichrist (False Prophet) False Peace/Safety movement,  Socialism = NWO began about 1789 in the French revolution + Karl Marx 1848 this is where head of the state party became the atheistic ruling party of the people rather than GOD as in Rom.13.   “For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.”  2 John 1:7

Famines,  pandemic, earthquakes and wars  Matt. 24:5   “For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.   6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.  7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilence, and earthquakes, in divers places  8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.”

Increase in Persecutions….  Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Rom. 8:35,  2 Tim. 3:12,   Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.   

A Powerless Church,   “  But understand this, that in the last days will come (set in) perilous times of great stress and trouble [hard to deal with and hard to bear].  2 For people will be lovers of self and [utterly] self-centered, lovers of money and aroused by an inordinate [greedy] desire for wealth, proud and arrogant and contemptuous boasters. They will be abusive (blasphemous, scoffing), disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy and profane.  3 [They will be] without natural [human] affection (callous and inhuman), relentless (admitting of no truce or appeasement); [they will be] slanderers (false accusers, troublemakers), intemperate and loose in morals and conduct, uncontrolled and fierce, haters of good.  4 [They will be] treacherous [betrayers], rash, [and] inflated with self-conceit. [They will be] lovers of sensual pleasures and vain amusements more than and rather than lovers of God.  5 For [although] they hold a form of piety (true religion), they deny and reject and are strangers to the power of it [their conduct belies the genuineness of their profession]. Avoid [all] such people [turn away from them].  6 For among them are those who worm their way into homes and captivate silly and weak-natured and spiritually dwarfed women, loaded down with [the burden of their] sins [and easily] swayed and led away by various evil desires and seductive impulses.  7 [These weak women will listen to anybody who will teach them]; they are forever inquiring and getting information, but are never able to arrive at a recognition and knowledge of the Truth.   2 Tim. 3:1-7

A false church without true riches, purity or the Holy Spirit    “ So, because you are lukewarm and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of My mouth!  17 For you say, I am rich; I have prospered and grown wealthy, and I am in need of nothing; and you do not realize and understand that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked.   Rev.3:16-17

The “Falling Away” which we are seeing, for sure,  in this past year during the pandemic so called churches have been closing.   “ But relative to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) and our gathering together to [meet] Him, we beg you, brethren,  2 Not to allow your minds to be quickly unsettled or disturbed or kept excited or alarmed, whether it be by some [pretended] revelation of [the] Spirit or by word or by letter [alleged to be] from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has [already] arrived and is here.  3 Let no one deceive or beguile you in any way, for that day will not come except the [a] apostasy comes first [unless the predicted great [b] falling away of those who have professed to be Christians has come], that the man of lawlessness (sin) is revealed, who is the son of doom (of perdition),  2 Thess. 2 :1-3,

Darkness getting darker,  Light getting more bright.      Don’t remember the location?

Days of Noah,   False Peace and Safety,   Matt.24:37 .      While they are saying, “Peace and safety [all is well and secure!]” then [in a moment unforeseen] destruction will come upon them…  1 Thess. 5:3

The resurrection Church is without spot, wrinkle or blemish that has made herself ready. Rev. 19:7

TRUE Church is the Rod of Iron for the rule of  Christ Jesus,   Psa.2:9,  Rev.2:26-29,  12:5,  19:15

Church saved from the Wrath of God:   “But we belong to the day; therefore, let us be sober and put on the breastplate (corset) of faith and love and for a helmet the hope of salvation.  9 For God has not appointed us to [incur His] wrath [He did not select us to condemn us], but [that we might] obtain [His] salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah)  10 Who died for us so that whether we are still alive or are dead [at Christ’s appearing], we might live together with Him and share His life.   11 Therefore encourage (admonish, exhort) one another and edify (strengthen and build up) one another, just as you are doing. 1 Thess. 5:8-11     Rom.5:9,  Eph.5:6,  1 John 2:2,  4:10,

PROMISED LAND,     “WORTH CONSIDERING”    6/19/21   From Ken Smith<><

Of all of the people that left Egypt with Moses, only 2 from that whole generation actually entered into the Promised Land.   Remember what Jesus taught: “Straight and narrow is the way to Eternal Life and very few find it.”  So there will be but very few who are on the same page and headed into the Promised Land of the Kingdom of God.  Not that we have it together,  but we are undivided and 100% committed to it.   We are learning not to be diverted by Adam’s world,  flesh,  pride or the demons.  Not that there will be no battles to fight nor flesh to die, Rom.8:13.   But at this time and place they are dealing with their own hypocrisy and giving it a death blow.  That we become really holy inside and outside in HIM.  That there is no room left for hypocrisy,  deceit,  guile or manipulations of the Truth of God.. Matt.23:13-14.  God said it, I believe it, that settles it, is where we want to be.    What I use to love about ministering to the Hippies in the 70’s was what you see was what you got.  There was little or no guile in them for the most part.

If in the space of true humility & obedience the Holy Spirit can open up new understandings of God’s Truth for those who seek, ask and knock.  And HE can teach us what we need to know to grow up in HIM and to help each other.  Our filters for spiritual truth to dump the fictions of this world are with each other a little different and as we work together we can better filter out the world’s fiction from the Truth of God.  Then the pure reflective silver of God’s Truth will be much easier to see his reflection in us as we become like Jesus or the Holy Spirit.    This is,  of course, is the original vision in the creation of man, Gen.1:26.    Our loving Creator wants to create a loving family like HIM who, by choice, will love righteousness and peace.  We are all invited but so very few want to give up the world and go.

Jesus:   ” I assure you and most solemnly say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone [just one grain, never more]. But if it dies, it produces much grain and yields a harvest. 25 The one who loves his life [eventually] loses it [through death], but the one who hates his life in this world [and is concerned with pleasing God] will keep it for life eternal. 26 If anyone serves Me, he must [continue to faithfully] follow Me [without hesitation, holding steadfastly to Me, conforming to My example in living and, if need be, suffering or perhaps dying because of faith in Me]; and wherever I am [in heaven’s glory], there will My servant be also. If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.”   John 12:24-26

MINI-FARM:
As for the vision for the TrueVine Farm, we now have an acre+ in two lots on Mamalahoa Hwy. in Kealia, HI.   We call the new addition “The Firehouse” as a home burned down on the property about 5 years ago and also because we would like the fire of GOD to light it up with Holy Fire.    It came complete with all the cement floors, water meter and cesspool and we are now in the process of getting materials together for a 16′ x 33′ room as an outreach ministry facility and House Church.  Also both properties back to thousands of acres of Kingdom Land which means no one living there, just jungle, clear to the top of Mauna Loa from the back property line.

We have moved 2 – 10′ x 20′ Costco tents onto the cement floor and set up a flush toilet with a new water connection with a hot shower next on the list.   It could be a nice free place to camp out if you were ever headed this way to spend time in the Captain Cook area for snorkeling and exploring,  a wonderful touch of Historic Hawaii here.  You can Google the “Firehouse” property at 85-4582 Mamalahoa Hwy.  Captain Cook, HI 96704 and also for the TrueVine Mini farm: use 85-4554 if interested.  At this time we have 2 empty bed rooms and a tent and are looking for some serious help on the farm.  Trade Board & Room for 24 hrs of work per week.  County bus stop a few doors south and for $2. go most anywhere on the Big Island of Hawaii in AC Comfort.

We are living in a changing world where the darkness is getting darker and the Light is getting brighter.  John, the beloved, APOSTLE, close friend to Jesus had this to say about it.   “ Do not love or cherish the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in him.  16 For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh [craving for sensual gratification] and the lust of the eyes [greedy longings of the mind] and the pride of life [assurance in one’s own resources or in the stability of earthly things]—these do not come from the Father but are from the world [ itself ].   17 And the world passes away and disappears, and with it the forbidden cravings (the passionate desires, the lust) of it; but he who does the will of God and carries out His purposes in his life abides (remains) forever.  1 John 2:15-17”  Personally, I have found these thought to be very true and very clear.  Only Joshua and Caleb of the generation that left Egypt were the only two souls that were aloud to experience the Promised Land.   John, Peter and Paul were others like Joshua and Caleb and marched to a different drummer.   It is obvious that a great train wreck is about to happen with this nation. And it will be far worse than 1929 when the train wreck hits as most folks, like mine, were farmers and living 90% off of the land.   Long ago on the Big Island the food import was about 10% and 90% was home grown here on the Island and easily available.   Today less than 10% is grown here and 90% is imported.   When oil ceases to flow, shipping will be extremely expensive or stop all together.   Have you noticed the containers are getting smaller and the prices are going higher in the local markets today?  I really have no idea of the time factor but we definitely are headed, as a nation, into the waste basket at this time.  You can feel the vibrations of the train headed this way and the tracks are missing.  It is a planned disruption so that socialism can take over as it did in Germany with Hitler and the National Socialist German Worker’ Party, or Nazi Party in 1920.  Karl Marx 1818-1883 started it all in replacing GOD with the State.  And that Law would work better than in trusting in greed.  That the State could be trusted to make the playing field level for the workers, but, in fact, actually made it worse as “Absolute authority, corrupts, absolutely.”  Socialism, The New World Order (NWO,) is now on the move in atheism so that there is no moral value system except as confirmed by the State.  It is interesting that China today is in control by Socialism but uses Capitalism for the needed financial support.  But really neither system fulfills the Commandment of God to love your neighbor as yourself.  But in China the CCP is now God that all must be very careful to respect as also in N. Korea.

So seems, it would be an excellent idea to take some time to take inventory to be sure you are headed into the light of God and HIS Truth.  And neither being corrupted by Capitalism nor by Socialism.  And not depending upon your feelings as to what you feel should be right and wrong.   As we need to line up with what our Creator says is right or wrong and find out what HE would like from us.  He has anointed HIS Prophets and Jesus for this very purpose.

These thoughts are certainly the heart of the Gospel.  But if it had not been for Floyd walking it out,  I would not have not been interested in 1955, and I would have continued in a total junk pile of sin that I was in at the time..Four Spiritual Laws mentioned in Monkey Town | God loves you, Names of jesus christ, Names of jesus

So in our generation, what will best connect and yet give the same truth that is greatly needed.   The 4 Spiritual Laws were used by Bill Bright during the 70’s great revivals in Calif.  I attended his seminars three times on the same subjects just to try to get that truth down deep in my heart where it works..  But really first found them with the Navigators in 1955.

But there must be better ways to convey this truth than as a LAW.    People have been deeply trained to avert and to hate LAWS.     Perhaps something like this might work?   I am sure it could be fine tuned to be even better to be understood by this generation?
 
1.    Our Eternal Creator is LOVE and has invited us to learn how to be like HIM.
2.    But we were born into Adam’s rebellion and need to choose to change our direction.
3.    Our Creator sent Jesus to tell us the Truth and to help us choose to be really free.
4.    If we will hear Jesus and submit to God’s Truth there will be a happy ending.
5.    And believe it or not,  Our Creator wants to empower us to help us live for HIM.  

And of course this is only the beginning of a life time of needed real change.  Some are fast at it, some are slow at it.  I often feel I am a pretty slow learners.   Often I feel that is why I am still here at near 89.  Seems like I never really graduated.   Never really allowed what I have learned to be so deep rooted as to totally change my life style.  But sort of beginning to feel headed in that direction at this time.   About time???    Seems like we are also really headed into Matt. 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21 Jesus Prophesy and into the world’s birth pains for the delivery of the Completed Church, The Body of Christ, The Rod of Iron, that is to rule by HIS side.   So we now have a world full of stuff to draw our attention away from where the world is headed.   But the clock is ticking, seems very fast now, towards the coming birth of the Church and the “Wrath OF God” mentioned in the Holy Scriptures.   BECAUSE…….

FaceBook,  RightWingRantsRaves;   If a madman wants to kill innocent people he will find a way.  Killers don’t need guns to kill people.   Timothy McVeigh used fertilizer.    9-11 terrorists used box cutters & jets.  The Nazis used cyanide gas…   Taking guns from innocent people will not protect innocent people.  The problem is not guns.  It is our Godless Society.   When I went to school in the 30’s there was the 10 commandment by the light switch,  prayer, song of all kinds including church,  God in the pledge and Jesus in the Battle Hymn with the Star Spangle Banner flying.  School was God, Country, Mother and Apple Pie all mixed up.  We knew good from bad when we left.

#3.  Obviously life begins at conception but legally it is not made clear and 50,000,000 + children have been killed now (aborted) in our country.  I am sure that God is very upset about this.

#4.  We are allowing children to determine their sexuality by how they feel.  Or on how they have been influenced.  This elevator does not even go to the top floor.  There are no sex change operation,  it is an impossibility.

And we wonder why families are falling apart and they, really are the foundations on which this country was built.   Unless there is a National Repentance and break with this darkness, God’s judgment will not linger for long.

A Wall Street Journal op-ed published yesterday says “the most compelling reason to favor the lab leak hypothesis is firmly based in science.” America’s #2 newspaper also reports that the “genetic footprint” of COVID-19 “has never been observed in a natural coronavirus.”

Dr. Steven Quay (M.D., Ph.D.) and Dr. Richard Muller (Ph.D.), who co-authored the article, also point out: “In gain-of-function research, a microbiologist can increase the lethality of a coronavirus enormously… The scientific evidence points to the conclusion that the virus was developed in a laboratory.”

During a Senate hearing on May 11, Dr. Fauci insisted the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the federal agency in charge of his NIAID, had NOT financed any research at the Chinese lab. “The NIH has not ever and does not now fund gain-of-function research in the Wuhan Institute,” he claimed.

The next day on FOX News, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) insisted that Fauci’s statements were “verifiably false.” Last week, Paul said in another FOX News interview that a recently published trove of Fauci emails “paint a disturbing picture” that show “Dr. Fauci, from the very beginning, worrying that he had been funding gain-of-function research.”

Over the past 18 months, millions of people around the world have died from COVID-19. The lives of millions more have been devastated physically, financially, socially and personally.  Progressive Christians Are Wolves Disguised as Sheep, Devouring the Church From Within

In his newest book, Hope for This Present Crisis, bestselling author Dr. Michael Youssef notes the disturbing trend in modern Christianity of many orthodox Christians abandoning thousands of years of orthodox Christian doctrine and tradition in favor of the new woke, progressive agenda promoted by the world today.

“Whereas orthodox Christianity is now labeled intolerant and narrow minded, progressive Christianity has taken hold of our society and gained popularity because it makes no moral judgements against sin and aligns with the dominant secular-left political agenda,” Youssef says.

While it certainly feels a lot easier to go along with the crowd, this is not the Christianity that Christ preached in the Gospels.

“These so-called progressive Christians do not hold to the Lord’s teaching. They openly reject everything Jesus said about His blood, His death and His atonement for sin,” Youssef says. “They openly reject His claim to be the way, the truth, the life—the only way to God the Father. To them, Jesus is a way, but not the way.”

Youssef’s book notes some helpful signs to watch out for, since these hidden “progressives” can look and speak like orthodox Christians, but their words have very different meanings. For example, “Progressive Christians say they believe that God is love. So do we, because God loved the world so much that He gave His only Son to die on the cross for us. But pro-gressive Christians don’t believe the cross is an expression of God’s love. Instead, they teach that a loving God would never punish sinners or judge sin or condemn an unrepentant, unbelieving sinner to hell,” Youssef says. That would be too harsh, progressive Christians object, in an attempt to be approved by the dying world.

“Progressive Christians say they believe in the resurrection. So do we. But if you press them about whether they affirm that the resurrection was a literal, physical, historical event, they will tell you that the resurrection of Jesus is a powerful spiritual metaphor, and a metaphor doesn’t have to be literal and historical to convey important truth.”

This can go on and on, with progressive Christians using the same words, but with very different meanings. With our society’s adamant demands for political correctness, progressives have fallen for the age-old trap of being esteemed by one’s peers—but at what cost? Unfortunately, what appears easier in the short run ends up being detrimental in the long run.

“If you adopt a secular social and political agenda, the world will love you,” Youssef says. “You’ll have many friends in this fallen and dying world. But the price you will pay is a state of enmity between you and God.”

For this reason, these progressive Christians act as proverbial wolves in sheep’s clothing, devouring the church from within. With the church’s foundations actively being destroyed, what can the righteous do?

“It sometimes takes a great deal of discernment to distinguish a progressive Christian from an orthodox, Bible-believing, evangelical Christian,” Youssef says.

The best place to start is to learn your faith. Read the Scripture to see what Jesus did and taught.

Jesus warned, “Beware of false prophets who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. … Do men gather grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit. But a corrupt tree bears evil fruit” (Matt. 7:15-17).

We must do what Christians have done since the early days of Christianity: Stand firm for the truth and hold fast to Jesus’ teaching. As Youssef advises:

“Ask God to strengthen you as you contend for His truth at home, at work and in your community. Ask God to empower you to witness boldly for His truth,” Youssef says. “Pray that He will give you the wisdom and discernment to resist the alluring falsehoods of progressive Christianity and other forms of apostasy so prevalent today. If you hold to the teach-ings of Jesus, then you will know His truth, and His truth will set you free.”

It is astounding to realize that so many failed to apprehend this spirit, and Paul makes it clear that this example has the most serious implications for New Testament believers. The spirit of wholehearted commitment, apparently rare as the finest rubies, receives the inheritance, the rich rewards of the “Promised Land”. What this “Promised Land” may be for those who are as faithful in the present age, we may wonder. But be assured it will flow with “Milk and Honey” just as the Land of Israel did in those ancient days, (and is again experiencing today!) Following God “with all that we had” will qualify us for the greatest eternal rewards.    The great test for Joshua and Caleb involved the godly courage to face massive giants in battle. They had learned and believed in the miraculous power of God to deliver, protect, and provide for His chosen. And Caleb, because of his great faith, was able to maintain his youthfulness even at the age of 85. (Joshua 14:10-12)    (Keep me in prayer about this one, I am pushing 89 and would still like to whack a few more giants before I go home.   Ken<>< )

Tuesday evening 6/1/21,  a few of us came together at 5:30 for a shared meal and a gentle discussion on the deep meaning of humility as found in the Word of God.   It was a forum not a top down religious Bible study and everyone got into the mix.  It was not long as Curtis has to get up about 1 AM to go to work.  So we closed at 7:10 with everyone praying around the table.  For me, I felt very comfortable that the Holy Spirit was in control and all seemed to be at peace and totally interactive.  

So what I came away with?   Jesus never in his whole life ever got out in front of the Holy Spirit but in humility always followed and did as he was told to do.  So as the Son of Man he was totally tested and always walked in absolute obedience.  Could Jesus have sinned, certainly.   Could HE have followed his own will, absolutely.  But HE choose not to.   We too are also encouraged to learn how to walk that obedience out in humility and the Grace of God.  And through the Holy Spirit we too can learn to be in humility and obedience as was Jesus.  

We often think of humility as being weak when actually in obedience we can be called on to do some very aggressive things as Jesus did in tossing the money changes out of the Temple.   Check Heb. 11.   On one side the Holy Spirit can help us learn to speak for edification, exhortation and comfort but then we can talk to the next person and out comes rebuke, reproof with all long-suffering and doctrine.  Humility is simple to decide to be,  OBEDIENT….

It is interesting in the Sermon on the Mount that the first thing that Jesus shares about is how that the pure in spirit (humble, teachable, obedient ) shall inherit the Kingdom of Heaven, Matt.5:3.  It takes humility to take myself off of the pride throne room of my life and allow Jesus to take that position and authority as LORD in my life.  And to actually, take the time, to  seek to know HIS Commandments in the New Testament and commit myself to not only finding them but in obeying them..  Jesus once said, “If possible remove this cup from me (considering a very painful death), but never the less, not my will, but thy will be done.“ Yes, Jesus had a will just like you and me.  He could have said, “No! that is just too much to ask of me.”  But it is amazing how much pain we get into by not following the loving advice and will of the Holy Spirit each day.  We are so prone to think and act like we have all of the answers.  Unless we learn about humility we have no ears to hear GOD speaking through others or even in hearing HIM for ourselves.

So in humility let us take a look at how our master made the 1st Great Awakening.   First he went outside the religious world and looked for men who were honest and seeking light.  At first there was only Peter, James and John.  Then going forward 9 more disciples were gathered into being of one mind and one Spirit.   He spent 3+ years with these guys 24/7 in binding them together (John 17.)   And as there were 70 disciples they were healing the sick and raising the dead. And when they got to be 120 disciple they blew the roof off in Jerusalem through the Holy Spirit and in Acts 5:16 ALL that came to the gatherings in Jerusalem were healed and set free of demons..  That same Holy Spirit is with us today.  Jesus built no buildings, wrote no books, did not collected any tithes.   He just shared GOD’S HOLY TRUTH.   Jesus left us with this concept, “The things that I do, shall ye do.  And greater things shall ye do because I go to my Father.”     “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:  15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.  16 If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.”  1 Jn.5:14-16    We need to learn how to do this.  There are the factors of love, humility, obedience & faith in knowing the will of God and walking it out.  There is also the Unity factor. Accord is listed 731 times in the KJV Bible. Gen.11:5-6,  20 times alone in the Book of Acts, 18 in Romans.  John recorded a whole chapter 17 as a prayer of Jesus for our unity.   To live in the Kingdom we need God’s Truth in loving unity, humility and obedience.
