Don’t like thinking like this and of course the LORD will take care of us….  But then HE did warn Joseph and saved his family.

When Israel was set up as a nation, God gave them certain financial instructions.  One was that every 50 years all debts were to be cancelled.  It was a financial restart for the nation and worked well.   But we are now all set up with the rich getting richer, the poor getting poorer and the middle class disappearing.   Credit Card debt is now sucking all the juice out of the poor of this nation.   And the collective debts are reaching to nearly 100 Trillion Dollars now.   So everyone seems to owe their soul to the company store as the old song goes…. except for a very few.  Our politicians have placed us all into very serious debt.

1929 was the last time we had a major dept cancellation and that was about 90 years ago.  So the following could be real.   And you might want to think about what you can do now to prepare,  if it comes.  There are lots of 25 year freeze dried foods in cans that you can buy today but perhaps not tomorrow.  If it happens TP will been gone from Costco in 2 days, I have seen it happen.  Grocery shelves will be empty in a week or two and gasoline could be rationed or impossible to find,  that also has happened in Kona.  If there is a 1929 like reset on our national economy it may take a decade to return to some kind of normal as it did in 1929.  I am not saying,  “Thus Sayeth the LORD” but we all should take time to consider these possibilities.  Yours, in HIS great love,   Ken<><  www.Trinity-Aloha.org

The following are 11 reasons why so many experts now believe that a U.S. economic crisis is imminent:

1. Last week, the “spread between the U.S. 2-year and 10-year yields” turned negative for the very first time in 12 years. An inversion of the yield curve has occurred prior to every single U.S. recession since the 1950s, and this is one of the most important economic signals that we have seen yet.

2. U.S. consumer sentiment just fell to the lowest level that we have seen in all of 2019.

3. Seventy-four percent of the economists surveyed by the National Association for Business Economics believe that a recession will begin in the United States by the end of 2021.

4. U.S. industrial production just slipped back into contraction territory.

5. The IHS Markit Manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index just fell to the lowest level that we have seen since September 2009.

6. Just as we witnessed in 2008, fear and volatility have returned to Wall Street in a major way. In fact, so far this month we have already seen the fourth- and seventh-largest single-day point declines in U.S. stock market history.

7. The total number of bankruptcy filings in the United States has been steadily shooting up, and it rose another 5% percent during the month of July.

8. Major U.S. retailers continue to shut down more stores, and we have continued to stay on a pace that would break the all-time record for store closings in a single year.

9. As I discussed yesterday, on a year over year basis, U.S. freight shipment volume has now fallen for 8 months in a row.

10. According to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, the probability that a recession will happen within the next 12 months is now the highest that it has been since the last financial crisis.

11. President Trump is suggesting that the Federal Reserve should cut interest rates by 100 basis points and that the Fed should restart quantitative easing as soon as possible. Both of those moves would be considered to be “emergency measures” that should only happen if a major economic downturn were imminent.

THE ROCK

THE ROCK,    “WORTH CONSIDERING”    8/21/19   (Across my desk this morning.)

Today’s Scripture
“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.”  (Matthew 7:24, NIV)
Staying Rock Solid

When we have rock-solid faith, we won’t be moved by what’s happening around us. We have peace in our hearts and minds because our hope is in God. We have an attitude that says, “I’m not moved by this medical report. I respect and honor people who are trying to help me, but I know God can do what medical science cannot do. God made my body.” “I’m not moved by the economy, the stock market or my job situation. I know God supplies all my needs. He promised He would prosper me even in a recession.” “I’m not moved by how my children are acting. I’m not stressed out because they’re off course, making poor choices. I know it’s only a matter of time. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

Friend, that’s unshakable faith. That’s building your house on a rock-solid foundation. When the storms of life come, you won’t be moved. How do you stay rock solid? By meditating on the Word of God and following His commands. It’s that simple. Instead of making your circumstances the focus, you make God the focus and stand strong and secure in Him! Today, make spending time with God your number one priority and learn to stay rock solid in Him!
A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for Your Word which is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. I choose to hide Your Word in my heart. I choose to meditate on Your promises. I know that You are faithful to Your Word and thank You for rock-solid faith as I keep my heart and mind focused on You in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

My Thoughts:
Of course Rock is used in Holy Scripture always associates with Christ Jesus as being the ROCK.  In Gen.49:24 Christ Jesus is lifted in prophesy by Moses.  In fact in Ex.17:1,  Moses caused water to flow from a Rock and was hidden in the cleft of a rock for protection from GOD’s GLORY.  In Samuel 2:2 it is recorded,  “There is no one holy like the LORD;  there is no one besides you;  here is no ROCK like our God.  David in Psalms 19:14 writes,  “May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, LORD, my ROCK and my Redeemer.  And in Psalm 31:2,  “…come quickly to my rescue; be my ROCK of refuge, a strong fortress to save me.
But the Messianic Scripture that really catches my eye is Isaiah 28:9-20 and it is a deep study so I will let you get your Bible and spend some time on this one as it is a life and death kind of scripture.

Jesus also taught about building on the ROCK:  24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand.

About a year or so ago I planted some papaya seeds.  And the plant next to the compost pile grew beautifully.  Filled up completely with about 250 papayas all getting big and beautiful and near harvesting.   But the other day I notice it was leaning more than usual.  Next day it was on the ground.  The roots had not grown deeply into the rocks under the earth.  The root structure was shallow and down it went.  The LORD spoke to my heart that this was typical of most churches today.  Not solid on the ROCK,  Not straight in growth and about the time for a harvest,  over it goes in a split or the pastor runs off with the organist.  And it is our responsibility to see to it that we have a solid Biblical foundation in Christ Jesus and that our doctrine  is balanced in LOVE, HOLINESS and POWER and that we keep the “Unity of the faith in the Bond of Peace.”   That all we believe can be supported by Holy Scripture in context.   Paul taught Timothy,  2 Tim.3:5,  that in the Last Days, ministries would have a form of godliness, but no power,  and if so to find someplace that really believes and teaches the Holy Scriptures:  2 Tim.3:16-17.

FEAR

FEAR      “WORTH CONSIDERING”    8/20/19     (Across my desk this morning.)

Today’s Scripture
“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”  (Psalm 27:1, NKJV)
Whom Shall I Fear?

With God on your side, there is nothing to be afraid of, Rom. 8.   There is a force in you that is more powerful than any opposition. No matter how big that enemy looks, greater is He that is in you than anything that comes against you. Refuse to give up, refuse to fall into fear, refuse to let it overwhelm you. When you have this warrior mentality, this “I can handle it” attitude, all the forces of darkness cannot keep you from your destiny.

Remember, the enemy doesn’t have the final say; God has the final say. And when you put your faith and trust in Him, He says, “I will always cause you to triumph.” Be strong and be of good courage. Keep God first place in your life and move forward in confidence knowing that He is working things out for your good.
A Prayer for Today
“Father, today I choose to put my trust in You, my light and salvation. Thank You for Your perfect love which casts out all fear in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

My Comments:
It is amazing as to how much of our life force is consumed by inordinate fear of things that never happen.  We tend to waste so much time even in thinking and talking about our fears.  When a boy I can remember F.D.R. saying over and over again on our little radio at his daily fire side chat,  “The only thing that we have to fear is fear itself.”   At that time we were fighting a 2nd  world war on both sides of our nation.   Today I often need to remind myself and others that

FEAR is FAITH going backwards. 

Jesus taught: There is no fear in love [dread does not exist], but full-grown (complete, perfect) love turns fear out of doors and expels every trace of terror! For fear brings with it the thought of punishment, and [so] he who is afraid has not reached the full maturity of love [is not yet grown into love’s complete perfection].1 John 4:18.  I really love what Paul teaches Timothy:  For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control.  2 Tim.1:7.   I often rebuke the enemy and claim by faith my power, love and a sound mind that is a gift of GOD by faith though Christ Jesus my LORD.  Peter even tells us that as the age of the Gentiles is ending to do this, 
7 But the end and culmination of all things has now come near; keep sound minded and self-restrained and alert therefore for [the practice of] prayer.  8 Above all things have intense and unfailing love for one another, for love covers a multitude of sins [forgives and [b]disregards the offenses of others].  1 Pet.4:6-8…  And Jesus reminds us:  Do not be seized with alarm and struck with fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom! Luke 12:32.  and:  Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.] John 14:27.

GODS SALVATION

GOD’S SALVATION            “WORTH CONSIDERING”   8/19/19    (Across my desk this morning.)

(The English meaning to the Greek word for believe is (To Trust In, Rely Upon and Cling To.) like a life raft in a storm.

Today’s Scripture
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
(John 3:16, NIV)
Whosesoever

When God sent His Son, Jesus, to the earth, He opened the door of salvation to whoever would believe. That means anyone can come to Him and become a child of His and have everlasting life! He didn’t just come to save certain kinds of people. He didn’t have a bunch of rules and conditions for salvation. Before Jesus came, people had to observe many laws in order to be holy enough to go into the temple. They were constantly performing sacrifices to pay for their sins just so they could be around the presence of God. And even then, their sins weren’t washed away; they were only covered up. But when Jesus came, He was the final sacrifice. His blood didn’t just cover up our sins; His blood washes us clean! Now, instead of just going to the temple to be near God, the Scripture says we are the temple, and He chooses to live inside us. Do you receive Him today? If you’ve never asked Him to come into your life, there’s no better time than right now.
A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for sending Your Son Jesus so that I can be free. Thank You for opening the door to eternal life. I accept the sacrifice Jesus paid. Come into my heart. Be my Lord and Savior in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

My Thoughts:
I totally agree that Christ Jesus has completely done HIS part in SEEKING to save us.   But now at my stage in life I am learning more and more about my free will responsibility in becoming a son of God in HIM.  As I see it in scripture becoming a child of God begins with faith in Christ Jesus as LORD but is a process that continues until death. (Matt.10:22, 2 Tim.4:7-8, John 12:24-26 and John 17:20-26) and that I am to ingest GOD’S truth and share the same before I graduate.   The lusts of the flesh,world and enemy are so deceitful and sanctification of the Spirit is so very important after the seed of life is planted by the Holy Spirit in our soil through faith in Christ Jesus as LORD.  (Rom. 10:9-12)   But the Hard Rocky Soil, Shallow Soil and Weedy Soils are so prevalent and deadly in our hypocritical culture.  (Luke 8:11-17).  Those plants died, only the deep, weed free soil produced fruit for HIS KINGDOM.  Seems there are so very few that are really on “The Way” shared by Christ Jesus our LORD in producing fruit. Lots of folks saying, “Lord Lord” ( Matt.7:21-23 ) but not much humility or obedience.  Each day of life is a precious gift and opportunity to learn more about GOD’s wonderful Grace and Mercy and be found in HIM.  But without becoming obedient to that truth we find we may still be lost, (2 Tim.4:7-8).   James said clearly,  “Faith without works, is DEAD.  James 2:17-26.  Our Creator’s Prime Directive for HIS kids is to help HIM gather the rest of HIS eternal family and to help train them to become like HIM.  This is so very important,  so be sure to look up and digest all of the scriptures.  And check it out as per scripture, what kind of fruit is on your tree,  King Jesus or SELF?

LORD

Aloha Saints, Sinners, Friends and Family,     6/20/19

The follow message came across my desk today and is absolutely TRUE.  Not much else needs to be said.   But then there is the little word Lord,  in the beginning which we say so often as Christians but may not fully understand what it means:

LORD  noun    1.  a person who has authority, control, or power over others; a master, chief, or ruler.      2.  a person who exercises authority from property rights; an owner of land, houses, etc.  3.  a person who is a leader or has great influence in a chosen profession:

So really, when I say LORD JESUS:   It should mean that HE has real Authority, Control and Power over my life and my property and is the ONLY great basic leader and influence in my daily life.

So if this is really true then it means that I have studied in depth the Holy Scriptures to see how HE want’s me to live my life.  It means I am looking to find his commandments and to keep them.  That in my life HE is my MASTER as implied by the word Christian which means:  To Be A Slave of Christ.  (First used in Antioch as a derision against those of “The Way” or the Early Christians.)

IF OTHERWISE and I call myself a Christian it is pure Hypocrisy or Acting.  Isaiah writes about those in Isaiah 28:9-20  (15)…“for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:”  So Isaiah warns us that Hypocrisy will not work.  Hypocrisy is what I call fire insurance.  You may have an old policy in a drawer some place but unless you have paid the premiums the paper will only help to make a fire hotter and burn better.  So before you apply the good stuff of the note below,  please do an inventory,  Is Jesus Really LORD or is your little ego sitting in HIS place in the throne room of your life with no LORD or authority over you at all ?  Hope that Jesus is Truly Lord?

Today’s Scripture  (on my computer today)
“For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father [of Eternity], Prince of Peace.”   (Isaiah 9:6, AMPC)

When you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, not only is your eternity secure, but you become a child of the Most High God. You instantly have an Everlasting Father! Think about that word everlasting. It means that before the beginning of time, the Father was there. He was waiting for you to make the choice to receive Him and become a child of His.

I can only imagine that He was excited and anticipating that day just like a father would anticipate the birth of his child in the natural. I can imagine that each day God would think, “Is it today?” I don’t know what your experience has been with your earthly father, but God is a good and perfect Father. He loves you with an everlasting love. He loves everything about you so much that He notices when a single hair falls from your head. He accepts you just the way you are, and He loves you enough to guide you and work His character in you. Best of all, He will be your Father from now until eternity! He will never leave you nor forsake you! Thank Him today for being your Everlasting Father!

A Prayer for Today
“Everlasting Father, thank You for loving me today and for always being with me. Help me to understand Your love more so that I can know You better. Let Your love flow through me so that others can see Your goodness and come to know You as Father, too, in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

VICTORY

Aloha,  FAMILY AND FRIENDS,    6/21/19

This was written some time ago by David Wilkerson but still very true and a very difficult lesson to learn for me.  At near 86 I have been fighting gout in my right foot and ankle,  very very painful at times.  So still trying to learn how to rest in the LORD, cease from my own efforts and Trust HIM for the healing.   But then it seems I have more faith for others than I have for my self.   Perhaps that is why we need each other in HIS UNITY, like in:  John 17:20-26 & Eph.4:11-16.   (Please Read the Verses!!!)

Perhaps when we are fitly joined and compacted we get to see Jesus powerfully living among us…  In John 17:22 the LORD gives us HIS glory (power) because we come into Unity in HIM.  So  OK,  perhaps this is the way that it works.  We get together with One Mind and One Spirit in HIS Truth and we then can experience Freedom from sin, sickness and death?  No memberships,  no pew polishing, no tithing,  no denominations just giving out of vision and love.  Leadership, of course,  but there because we want to be there, where ever,  house church or big box building with a steeple,  no matter the place.  The CHURCH is the people.

After all,  There is but one Church of Christ Jesus and all who love HIM and obey HIM are members….   Right ???  So find a Jesus Church where Jesus is actually LORD,  where HIS commandments are really honored and see where it goes.

No Hope of Victory in Our Own Strength

Even if you are saved — living under the covering of Christ’s blood and secured by faith in his work on the cross for you — you can still have ongoing battles raging inside you. Enemies of your soul seek to devour you and you are still engaged in a battle with satanic powers and strongholds. We are to claim the power that is available to us through God’s New Covenant, but that power comes only by faith.

The prophet Isaiah warned Israel that there was no possibility of victory for them if they attempted to fight their adversary in their own strength. Isaiah chapter 31 paints a perfect picture of the futility of trying to do battle with the enemy in our human ability. I believe this chapter is a type and shadow of the ineffectiveness of our attempts today to defeat lusts, bad habits, and besetting sins by relying on human ideas and aids.

This chapter is also an example to us of how sin will increase in the last days. Scripture says that society will wax worse and worse and the Church will be inundated with deceptions and doctrines of demons. I believe we are seeing that happen right now. Demonic hordes have infiltrated all media and every form of technology, flooding our culture with sensuality and perversions of all kinds.

If you are in the midst of an overwhelming struggle, you must learn the word God gave to Zechariah: “’Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of hosts” (Zechariah 4:6).

“For through the voice of the Lord, [the enemy] will be beaten down” (Isaiah 30:31). Isaiah is saying, “Your Lord promises to fight for you. He will make his voice known and it will put all your enemies to flight.”

Are you facing an enemy that is too powerful for you right now? If so, God asks simply that you lay down your sword and trust him to fight on your behalf.

HOUSE CHURCH

The focus of our little House Church is to totally tune into the Holy Spirit as to how HE wants to build the LORD’S CHURCH.  To build a foundation from only Holy Scripture means to reject all teachings and traditions that would waste our time.    To set a foundation in Biblical Truth that will develop a Church that is totally responsive to the Holy Spirit in Holy Scripture and Biblical context for the pure TRUTH of GOD that really sets us free in Christ Jesus.

13 [That it might develop] until we all attain oneness in the faith and in the comprehension of the [[a]full and accurate] knowledge of the Son of God, that [we might arrive] at really mature manhood (the completeness of personality which is nothing less than the standard height of Christ’s own perfection), the measure of the stature of the fullness of the Christ and the completeness found in Him.

14 So then, we may no longer be children, tossed [like ships] to and fro between chance gusts of teaching and wavering with every changing wind of doctrine, [the prey of] the cunning and cleverness of [b]unscrupulous men, [gamblers engaged] in every shifting form of trickery in inventing errors to mislead.

15 Rather, let our lives lovingly [c]express truth [in all things, speaking truly, dealing truly, living truly]. Enfolded in love, let us grow up in every way and in all things into Him Who is the Head, [even] Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

16 For because of Him the whole body (the church, in all its various parts), closely joined and firmly knit together by the joints and ligaments with which it is supplied, when each part [with power adapted to its need] is working properly [in all its functions], grows to full maturity, building itself up in love.

LONG VIEW

LONG VIEW,    “WORTH CONSIDERING”    8/16/19

LONG VIEW:
I was reviewing a movie the other night on Columbus and his discovery of the Western Hemisphere.  The scene was Columbus showing his son the LONG VIEW of a very tall sailing ship sailing out of sight across the horizon.  At first the ship itself began to disappear and was gone and then the mast looked as though it was sinking into the water.  Not the same as moving away where the whole ship might disappear but like sinking into the ocean.  And yet the whole ship would return at a later date to the harbor.  In this clip Columbus was proving to his son that the earth was in fact, round. 

So in really believing in the LONG VIEW (Eternal view) of things how do we know that there is really  a Creator and unlimited time after death for the human soul?  So from a Christian perspective all of those kind of thought have been collected and put in a book called the Holy Bible.  

In my quest for answers to those 3 great questions:  Where did I come from,  Why am I here,  And where am I going. I studied the religions of the world and just became more confused until I really started to research the Holy Bible.  Way before anyone knew it to be true the Bible taught that the world was round, hung on nothing and made of particles that were to small to be seen.  Also that the elements could be burned up in a fervent heat.  All of which was accurate and could not be know except by a Creator and shared with someone to write down.

Then I took a look at the hundreds of Messianic prophesies that were in such detail prior to the event that only GOD could have the foreknowledge of such events.  David wrote in Psalm 22 all about Christ Jesus, hundreds of years before the event.  Isaiah also in Isa.53.  Amazing stuff to consider in looking at the LONG VIEW.  But the amazing thing is that Jesus of Nazareth could not make it happen, HE could only allow it to happen as HE saw the LONG VIEW for himself.

And we find these words in the Book of Hebrews,  the writer recording (Paul I feel) as follows:
“Therefore then, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who have borne testimony to the Truth], let us strip off and throw aside every encumbrance (unnecessary weight) and that sin which so readily (deftly and cleverly) clings to and entangles us, and let us run with patient endurance and steady and active persistence the appointed course of the race that is set before us,  2 Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection]. He, for the joy [of obtaining the prize] that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising and ignoring the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God.  3 Just think of Him Who endured from sinners such grievous opposition and bitter hostility against Himself [reckon up and consider it all in comparison with your trials], so that you may not grow weary or exhausted, losing heart and relaxing and fainting in your minds.  Hebrews 12:1-3″  Read several times, let the meaning sink in.

So this intent of this little note is to encourage you to look through your list of stress factors and toss the ones that will not matter from the point of view of eternity or of having eternal values,  “THE LONG VIEW.”  The ones that waste your valuable time on earth… If Christ Jesus is your LORD and HIS KINGDOM is your real home and HE is designing and building a place for you.  And if one day, really soon,  you are going to be moving into a totally furnished new home then how important is the one you are going to be leaving?  And how many of our relationships and friendships are going to hang together after we move?  In fact that has some real motivation behind it so as to leave no one left behind.  How many family members and friends just might not make the jump to light speed when Christ Jesus returns for HIS CHURCH.

“Do not let your hearts be troubled (distressed, agitated). BEING HOLY,   “WORTH CONSIDERING”  8/16/19  (Across my desk this morning.)

The Great Exchange

If you’ve accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, then you are the righteousness of God. That means you are one with Him and an extension of His virtue. You are approved by Him. You are in right standing with Him. You belong to Him.”

Not only did Jesus pay for the punishment for your sins, the Scripture says He actually became sin. He took sin upon Himself and into His being so that you could take God’s righteousness upon yourself and into your being. It’s the great exchange.

Today, don’t let the enemy hold you back by making you feel guilty or condemned. You are not who you used to be; you are the righteousness of God in Christ! First John 1:9 says that if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If there is anything in your life that is holding you back today, confess it to God. Let Him cleanse you and make you new. Remember, He paid a precious price so that you could be His righteousness. Meditate on this truth and let Him set you free!
A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for cleansing me and making me new. Thank You for making me the righteousness of God in Christ. Help me to fully understand this so I can walk in the fullness of the blessing You have prepared for me in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

My Thoughts:
This is a valid picture of what GOD is about in the restoration of us to HIS original VISION to make us a Holy People in HIS Image and Likeness.  In Christ Jesus as LORD,  HE takes our sin and removes them from us as far as the east is from the west to be remembered no more.  

However, we still have the process to go through of bringing every thought into the captivity of love and mind of Christ Jesus.  We have to retrain our tongue to agree with that of our Creator.  We still have a lot of nasty habits to shed or dump to become like our LORD Jesus.   We are forgiven and made HOLY by God but that also begins the process of sanctification or to make us HOLY.   Some habits are hard to change.  My vocabulary from the Army was a difficult change for me.  Allowing Jesus to be formed in me has been a process that I really want to make but has been slow.   And I need the Holy Spirit all the time to help me through the process.  It is like the Creator wants to restore me to HIS original intent.  And the older I get the easier for me to see it actually happening.  Not an ego thing but a John 12:24-26 dying thing.  Made possible because of the LORD’s love and vision for us.

24 I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, Unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains [just one grain; it never becomes more but lives] by itself alone. But if it dies, it produces many others and yields a rich harvest.  25 Anyone who loves his life loses it, but anyone who hates his life in this world will keep it to life eternal. [Whoever has no love for, no concern for, no regard for his life here on earth, but despises it, preserves his life forever and ever.]  26 If anyone serves Me, he must continue to follow Me [[a]to cleave steadfastly to Me, conform wholly to My example in living and, if need be, in dying] and wherever I am, there will My servant be also. If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.    A Jesus teaching,  John 12:24-26

It is like an old biology class in watching a bean grow into a plant and make more beans.  My wife has been collecting buckets of bean from her garden lately,  she love to garden.   The little bean finds itself in the dark damp earth and first puts out a root and then pokes a hole to the light and then becomes fertilizer for a whole new plant to grow up into the sun and produce more beans.  We need to die to being a seed in order to become the planting of GOD.  See the parallel.  Most of us want to paint our little seed gold, put it in a picture frame and hang it on the wall for all to see how beautiful we are.  So get the long eternal view of things and change will be much much easier.

Today’s Scripture
“We ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love all of you have for one another is increasing.”
(2 Thessalonians 1:3, NIV)
Let Your Love Grow

God’s desire is to see you grow and increase in every area of your life, especially in your love for others. That’s because love is the greatest thing, and it is all that matters in eternity. At the end of the day, at the end of our lives here on earth, love is what will last forever!

Notice this verse tells us that love and faith are connected. It says in another verse that faith works by love. Love isn’t about feelings and emotions; it’s about the choice to treat people the way God tells us to in His Word. We are never more like God than when we are walking in love—when we are being patient and kind; when we are extending grace and mercy and forgiving others the way Christ has forgiven us. The more we know Him, and the more we know His Word, the more we will walk in love.
A Prayer for Today

“Today, I pray that your love will continue to grow and build a solid foundation for your faith. I pray that through your connection with the heavenly Father, you are strengthened in all of your relationships as you move forward into the life of blessing He has for you!”

 My Thoughts:

One time I ask the LORD what HIS definition of LOVE was.   Very quietly in my heart HE said these words,  “Love in the highest good for the other person regardless of personal cost.”  I have thought back about that a lot.  Really hard to measure up to.  In a song we use to sing in the Pilgrims call Charity there was one line that always got my attention, went something like this,  Jesus sings, when love prevales.  Seems that thinking about Jesus singing was somehow and exquisite thought about love.

 Of course 1 Cor. 13 is what the Apostle Paul felt to share with the Church and gives us a big banquet of thoughts about love.  John’s little letters also ring so true with GOD is LOVE.  That is why we have freewill.  Love can only exist in freewill.  Without free will, love has no foundation of truth.  So God has put up with the mess that we have made in order for the Elect may find their way into HIS LOVE, Image and Likeness for eternity.  Of course in HIS foreknowledge knew those who would truly come to love and obey HIM before the world was created.:  But in our dimension in time, every day is an new day.  Today will always the first day of the rest of your life.  So hope you choose wisely,  1 John 1:17 & Rom. 19:9-10
