HUMILITY & OBEDIENCE
And actually Adam and Eve did well in the beginning and spent time in he evenings talking with the Word of God and it all worked. But Eve was seduced by lucifer to be prideful and rebel against their Creator. Of course Adam was way laid back listening and procrastinating while this conversation was going on. And when Eve took the fruit and ate it, Adam did not want to be left along and so ate it as well. The scriptures teach us that Eve was deceived and Adam was in rebellion and disobedience. And the scriptures teach us that to who ever we obey his servants we are. And in Adam’s pride and rebellion the human race lost the God connection and became the servants of lucifer. So our Creator God, The Word of God, has now spent 6,000 of our earth years loving us and building our faith to make the decision to want to be restored to Him in humility and obedience.
At my age the temptations are less, that is a blessing, and much smaller but I do find my Adamic Carnal Nature still trying to rule and to get me off track. Some of the things I am working on is riding my stationary bike for at least 10 minutes each day and going to bed by 12 PM. and keeping up with my paper work so if & when God calls me home things will be in order for my family. Of course I want to hang out until the Rapture. I would like to experience my Lord’s victory over death, hell and the grave. But just in case, I would not like to leave a big mess for my 6 kids to fight over.
Gal.6:7, “ Do not be deceived and deluded and misled; God will not allow Himself to be sneered at (scorned, disdained, or mocked [g] by mere pretensions or professions, or by His precepts being set aside.) [He inevitably deludes himself who attempts to delude God.] For whatever a man sows, that and [h] that only is what he will reap. For he who sows to his own flesh (lower nature, sensuality) will from the flesh reap decay and ruin and destruction, but he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint. So then, as occasion and opportunity open up to us, let us do good [[I] morally] to all people [not only [j] being useful or profitable to them, but also doing what is for their spiritual good and advantage]. Be mindful to be a blessing, especially to those of the household of faith [those who belong to God’s family with you, the believers].
Eph.1:5, “5 For He foreordained us (destined us, planned in love for us) to be adopted (revealed) as His own children through Jesus Christ, in accordance with the purpose of His will [[b] because it pleased Him and was His kind intent]—[So that we might be] to the praise and the commendation of His glorious grace (favor and mercy), which He so freely bestowed on us in the Beloved. In Him we have redemption (deliverance and salvation) through His blood, the remission (forgiveness) of our offenses (shortcomings and trespasses), in accordance with the riches and the generosity of His gracious favor, Which He lavished upon us in every kind of wisdom and understanding (practical insight and prudence), Making known to us the mystery (secret) of His will (of His plan, of His purpose). [And it is this:] In accordance with His good pleasure (His merciful intention) which He had previously purposed and set forth in [c]Him,
[He planned] for the maturity of the times and the climax of the ages to unify all things and head them up and consummate them in Christ, [both] things in heaven and things on the earth. In Him we also were made [God’s] heritage (portion) and we obtained an inheritance; for we had been foreordained (chosen and appointed beforehand) in accordance with His purpose, Who works out everything in agreement with the counsel and design of His [own] will. So that we who first hoped in Christ [who first put our confidence in Him have been destined and appointed to] live for the praise of His glory!”
1.Pet.2:19 For one is regarded favorably (is approved, acceptable, and thankworthy) if, as in the sight of God, he endures the pain of unjust suffering. [After all] what [a] kind of glory [is there in it] if, when you do wrong and are punished for it, you take it patiently? But if you bear patiently with suffering [which results] when you do right and that is undeserved, it is acceptable and pleasing to God.
Matthew 10:22, “And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake, but he who perseveres and endures to the end will be saved [from spiritual disease and death in the world to come]. Matthew 24:13, “But he who endures to the end will be saved.” Mark 13:13. “And you will be hated and detested by everybody for My name’s sake, but he who patiently perseveres and endures to the end will be saved (made a partaker of the salvation by Christ, and delivered from spiritual death).
Philippians 2:12, “Therefore, my dear ones, as you have always obeyed [my suggestions], so now, not only [with the enthusiasm you would show] in my presence but much more because I am absent, work out (cultivate, carry out to the goal, and fully complete) your own salvation with reverence and awe and trembling (self-distrust, with serious caution, tenderness of conscience, watchfulness against temptation, timidly shrinking from whatever might offend God and discredit the name of Christ).”
In my study of scripture, I see that we are saved, and being saved, and shall be saved if we finish the course of change that our Lord has set before us. Called in scripture, “Sanctification, or to be made holy.” We are encouraged to put on the mind of Christ. “For who has known or understood the mind (the counsels and purposes) of the Lord so as to guide and instruct Him and give Him knowledge? But we have the mind of Christ (the Messiah) and do hold the thoughts (feelings and purposes) of His heart.” 1 Cor. 2:16.” We know instinctively what Jesus would do in situations. And our Creator has known us in His eternal time dimension from before the 1st atom was created. In His foreknowledge all is predestined. But in our time it is still our decision to make. Our Creator has endured much to make it possible for us to really know and want to learn to be like HIM, 1 John 4:16-17. Our Creator told David about Jesus, Psalm 22, and Isaiah 53 so we would not miss Him. But like today, most are caught up in pride and in vain traditions, like the Matt.25, 5 foolish virgins who procrastinated and were self absorbed in “What About Me” and were lost as unknown. Only ½ of the virgins were ready with oil and light’s bright and got to go to the wedding.
