HEART FAITH HEALING 2
HEART FAITH HEALING 2 “WORTH CONSIDERING” 11/1/21 by Ken<><
A very dear, old friend and brother in Christ Jesus, today, sent me a reminder concerning Repentance as follows:
Ken. You might add to your list God’s timing. I spent four months in intense pain and acute anxiety in 2017. Prayed intently, literally day and night, as I also couldn’t sleep. But during that time I felt God’s love and presence. I ultimately repented of four major areas of sin. Some going back over 60 years. Then came my healing. God said it was in His timing. During the process He touched me sovereignty several times, keeping me from suicide and within the confines of tolerable. ( I wrote back as follows: ) Excellent, Thank you, misplaced the repentance part…. I did go through a whole month at one time between life and death. It was a considerable time for me to think about such things in repentance…. But 4 months, WOW !!!! As for God’s Timing, if the God conditions for healing exist I feel that healing is in the now… we are already healed in Jesus. It is a done deal, but often we are yet to take off our shoes and find the Holy Ground. Like Paul and his thorn, later as he met the conditions and was healed. But I do wonder about Timothy and his “Oft Infirmities,” however. Perhaps it was bad water? Be Blessed in your day and your efforts for our KING and again, I do appreciate your comments.
So with this “Worth Considering” it is not meant to pontificate but in God’s Love it is written to find more of God’s Truth so that we can enjoy more of God’s Freedom in loving unity. Truth is far more important than winning any debate. Walking in God’s Truth always gives us more freedom to serve HIM.
However, it is important to find the Holy Scriptures that clearly show God’s position of truth in a doctrine or we tend to go with our emotions or some teachings that we have heard and digested that may be in error.
A good scripture to start concerning healing is Isa 53: 5, “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was crushed for our wickedness [our sin, our injustice, our wrongdoing]; The punishment [required] for our well-being fell on Him, And by His stripes (wounds) we are healed.” and in Isa.61:1-2, “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, Because the Lord has anointed and commissioned me To bring good news to the humble and afflicted; He has sent me to bind up [the wounds of] the brokenhearted, To proclaim release [from confinement and condemnation] to the [physical and spiritual] captives And freedom to prisoners, To proclaim [a] the favorable year of the Lord, [b] And the day of vengeance and retribution of our God, To comfort all who mourn,”
So we see our God of unconditional love but HE is also limited by our heart faith and lack of humility and in us mourning for our sins or being in a state of repentance. The message of the greatest of the Old Testament prophets, John the Baptist was “REPENT,” at Pentecost the first words out of Peter’s mouth was also: “Repent.” Acts 2″38. “And Peter said to them, “Repent [change your old way of thinking, turn from your sinful ways, accept and follow Jesus as the Messiah] and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ because of the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” And added later in 2 Peter 3:8-10, “Nevertheless, do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years is like one day. 9 The Lord does not delay [as though He were unable to act] and is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is [extraordinarily] patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will vanish with a [mighty and thunderous] roar, and the [material] elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and the works that are on it will be [a] burned up.” John asks us to pray for folks who need to repent, “If anyone sees his brother committing a sin that does not lead to death, he will pray and ask [on the believer’s behalf] and God will for him give life to those whose sin is not leading to death. There is a sin that leads to death; I do not say that one should pray for this [kind of sin]. 17 All wrongdoing is sin, and there is sin that does not lead to death [one can repent of it and be forgiven]. We know [with confidence] that anyone born of God does not habitually sin; but He (Jesus) who was born of God [carefully] keeps and protects him, and the evil one does not touch him. 1 John 5:15-18…
The Revelation of Christ Jesus has 10 scriptures concerning repentance some of which are:
Rev. 3:18: “ I counsel you to buy from Me gold that has been heated red hot and refined by fire so that you may become truly rich; and white clothes [representing righteousness] to clothe yourself so that the shame of your nakedness will not be seen; and healing salve to put on your eyes so that you may see. 19 Those whom I [dearly and tenderly] love, I rebuke and discipline [showing them their faults and instructing them]; so be enthusiastic and repent [change your inner self—your old way of thinking, your sinful behavior—seek God’s will]. 20 Behold, I stand at the door [of the church] and continually knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him (restore him), and he with Me. Rev/ 2:5, “So remember the heights from which you have fallen, and repent [change your inner self—your old way of thinking, your sinful behavior—seek God’s will] and do the works you did at first [when you first knew Me]; otherwise, I will visit you and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent.
So repentance includes the act of changing your mind and heart at to also change how you feel about things that God calls sin like in 2Tim. 1-5, “But understand this, that in the last days dangerous times [of great stress and trouble] will come [difficult days that will be hard to bear]. For people will be lovers of self [narcissistic, self-focused], lovers of money [impelled by greed], boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy and profane, [and they will be] unloving [devoid of natural human affection, calloused and inhumane], irreconcilable, malicious gossips, devoid of self-control [intemperate, immoral], brutal, haters of good, traitors, reckless, conceited, lovers of [sensual] pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of [outward] godliness (religion), although they have denied its power [for their conduct nullifies their claim of faith]. Avoid such people and keep far away from them. Also include, Rom.1:18-32….
