FREEDOM
FREEDOM, “WORTH CONSIDERING” 7/4/19 (Across my desk this morning.)
Today’s Scripture
You have been set free from sin…” (Romans 6:18, NIV)
Declare Your Freedom
Today we celebrate Independence Day in America. July 4, 1776 was the day America declared independence from Britain, but the battle for freedom went on until 1783—seven years later. Even though they declared their freedom in 1776, they had to stand and fight for many years before the British would accept and recognize the United States of America. In the same way, we have to be determined to stand against the opposing forces in our lives. We have to declare our freedom from addiction, poverty, sickness and lack. We have to stand and fight until we fully experience that freedom and peace that God has promised. I love what the early colonists did once they signed the Declaration of Independence. They read it out loud in public. They published it in the newspaper. They spread the word. They continued to declare and celebrate even though they were in the midst of the battle. Whatever battle you may be facing today, declare that you are free. Declare that you are an overcomer. Celebrate the victory that is on its way! As you stand strong and declare your freedom, you will experience His victory and you will live in true freedom all the days of your life!
A Prayer for Today
“Heavenly Father, thank You for setting me free in every area of my life. I declare today that nothing can hold me back. I declare that I am free from sickness, poverty, lack and addiction. I declare that You have set me free and thank You for freedom in every area of my life.”
My Thoughts: (Exceptional advice today.)
Just this morning as I was sending out the previous “Worth Considering” about returning to being under the Hebrew Law, and sent it out. Then along came a really heavy oppression that hit my right shoulder with a lot of pain and then made me feel sick and want to barf. I set up and said, what is this? And went to war with the Blood of the Lamb of God and in 15 minutes is was gone, PTL… Does not work all the time like that but at that moment in time, I regained a bit of my freedom. Have done that also with headaches and ringing in my ears and gained freedom in minutes. But now, at my age, I am working on finding more faith to get my feet fixed. So there is a growth in faith. In Gen 6:3 Moses writes that God has given us a 120 healthy years of life expectancy if we do the maintenance. About 40 years ago I put a paper together on FREEDOM, as to the homework. We all like freedom, the big problem is that we can not tell the lie from the truth. So we get sold a lot of stuff (fruit) that we think will set us free and it just puts us in deeper bondage. So really, all of the things that God tells us not to do are for our freedom. And all of the things that God tells us to do, help us to be free. Plus the effects of God’s Freedom sets us up to live with HIM for eternity. While the effects of the lies that promise us freedom only lead us into death and darkness. So take some time today to “Consider” what in your life is a lie and death and what in your life is GOD’s TRUTH and FREEDOM. Old habits are hard to break, but it can be done. Christ Jesus has assured us that with HIS help He can teach us to walk in the Spirit and not give in to the lusts of the fresh that we inherited from Adam. That, REALLY, in HIM we can be retrained, to be a new creation, to be a HOLY PEOPLE.
